Heartaches By The Number
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
45ml Bloody Shiraz Gin (I used a bit more)
30ml Cizano Blanco
15ml Passoã
A touch of Grenadine for that red colour
Cuvée Brut to taste
Stir ingredients minus the Brut
Pour into Highball glass with a generous amount of ice
Top with Brut
As this crazy pandemic comes to a close in my country I find myself heading back to work soon.  I guess I'm going to need to get back into the groove of making cocktails, I have to say I'm a bit rusty on my speed.  I have several isolated gin and tonics to blame for that I suppose.
This cocktail isn't really inspired by anything, just mainly how my taste has changed over lockdown.  I've been playing a bunch of Fallout New Vegas and as a result, the soundtrack constantly stuck in my head.  Therefore I thought to name this drink after one of my favorites by Guy Mitchell.
If you don't have access to shiraz gin (first off I'm sorry, it's absolutely delicious and you should try it) you can use any gin that's a bit floral and soft.  Be careful though, this one is a good 2 or so drinks worth.
Cheers! 🥂

A New Sunset
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
60ml Fireball
30ml Single Malt Whiskey
15ml Lemon Juice
A dash of Limoncello
2 Dashes of Old Fashioned Bitters
A splash of Fanta
Rim Cognac Balloon with Sugar (I used gold sugar)
Shake and Strain over an ice rock.
Stay optimistic for the future, if you're struggling just know you can do it.
Drink in moderation and take care of yourself.
I don't really have anything to say, is that allowed? As some of you know I live in an area that's just now getting out of lockdown so expect more recipes soon. Please take care of yourselves during this trying time, thanks for all the love and support the last year or so. It really has made a difference in my life.

The Science Team Special
Inspired by the hilarious "Half-Life VR but the AI is Self-Aware" by @wayneradiotv
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
120ml Blue Powerade
30ml Tequila Blanco
30ml Contreau (though any orange-y liqueur will work for this honestly.)
15ml Simple Syrup
15ml Lime
2 Heaping Spoonfulls of Pop Pearls (Or as many as you want since these are delicious)
A Squeeze of Orange juice
Orange rind and sugar rim as optional garnishes
Rim a highball glass with sugar.
Place your Pop Pearls in the bottom of the glass being careful not to burst any.
Insert your liquid ingredients then add ice until full.
You'll need a bubble tea straw for this unless you don't mind scooping pearls into your mouth after every sip.
Garnish with an Orange Twist and enjoy!
HLVRAI is a really unique series that I binged during quarantine. It's an improv-based character-driven comedy done entirely in G-Mod and is something I'd reccomend to anyone. That being said, I really wanted to make something from the series but there weren't any fictional drinks that showed up except for a certain metal barrel later on. I decided instead to go with a drink inspired by the series as a whole. I knew that if I made something HLVRAI related, blue Powerade or soda was a must. I stuck with Powerade for the challenge, I've never used it as an ingredient and this seemed like a great oppurtunity. Speaking of new ingredients I got my hands on some lychee and strawberry pop pearls! I wanted to put something in that was reminiscent of the balls Benry launches from his mouth and this seemed like a good fit.
As far as taste goes, I vaguely modeled the drink's structure off of the Paloma. Tequila is quite friendly with salt and seeing as Powerade has a high salt content, this seemed like a good match. From there is was all about balancing the salt content out with fruity flavors and for this I decided Contreau, orange, and lime for this. It tastes a bit margarita-y at first, but as soon as the pearls burst in your mouth it mixes and turns into something way more reminiscent of a tiki drink. It's a really interesting two-hit flavor combo that I definitely reccomend trying!
Anyways thanks as always and feel free to ask anything or shoot me a suggestion!
Special thanks this time to NezumiVA for reccomending HLVRAI and Happy Cup in Melbourne for letting me use their pop pearls. Check them out if you're ever in the area!

CEO of Hell's Drink
From Helltaker
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
30ml Single-Malt Whiskey
30ml Fireball
60ml Tomato Juice
30ml Orange Juice
15ml Lime Juice
2 shakes of Worcestershire Sauce
Freshly squeeze your orange juice. The drink is already quite acidic so using fresh oranges or even mandarins will ensure your drink has a nice acidity balance.
Mix all of your ingredients into a stirring glass and gently stir with ice.
Strain into a flute glass and enjoy! There weren't any garnishes in the original picture so I didn't include any here.
When playing the cute indie game Helltaker I noticed Satan the CEO of hell was drinking some sort of red liquid out of a flute glass. I used this as an oppurtunity to get creative seeing as red wine isn't usually drank out of a flute glass. I decided to use ideas from several tomato-based cocktails including the Bloody Mary. I wasn't fully convinced that a whiskey-based drink like this would work, but when I tasted it I was pleasantly surprised! The blend of vastly different flavors just works, it's altogether fruity, warm, and tangy at the same time.
Lockdown has been a bit difficult in terms of creativity. Now that everything here is slowly re-opening I'll be able to start making recipes for this blog again. Look forward to the future and stay safe! Happy Pride! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Can I still join the discord despite not being of legal drinking age? I want to become a bartender when I'm older and I'd like to be more knowledgeable in drinks
We like to keep our server 18+ in general. If you're still under the drinking age however, make sure you don't recreate anything we make/discuss.

Noble Pursuit
From The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Tumblr media
30ml White Tequila
30ml Watermelon Liqueur
90ml Aloe Drink (explained below)
3 Spoons of Dragonfruit Flesh
1 Lime
Aloe branch for optional garnish
Cut lime into wedges and muddle in a cocktail shaker with dragonfruit.
Add Tequila, Watermelon Liqueur, and Aloe Drink.
Shake and strain over a large ice rock.
Optionally garnish with aloe and leftover dragonfruit as shown above.
Tumblr media
To celebrate the launch of the BOTW sequel, here I am recreating the most interesting non-drinkable drink in the game! Before I get into detail however, here is a quick rundown on the Aloe Drink since it isn't avaliable everywhere.
Aloe Vera Drink: It's basically just peeled and crushed aloe with a bit of sugar syrup and diluted with water. Just look at the ingredients on the back of your usual apple juice and replace apple with aloe.
When making this recipe I tried to be as faithful to the source material as possible. I wanted to find out what a Noble Pursuit would taste like despite it's limited in-game description.
To begin, there are two main fruits that can be found growing around the Gerudo Desert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hydromelons and Volfruit which will be swapped for their real world counterparts Watermelon and Dragonfruit. While searching, I also found plants that resemble Aloe.
Furosa describes the Noble Pursuit as a "light sweet taste" and each sip having a "cooling sensation".
She also states that Link looks too young to drink it, cementing it as a cocktail of sorts. With all the cacti surrounding the village, our strongest bet is that they created a tequila or mezcal-like spirit with the cacti.
When mixing all of the ingredients together (and adding a bit of lime since it's a tequila cocktail), it actually came out exactly like Furosa said. The aloe gives it a nice cooling sensation, the watermelon liquer adds a nice sweet taste, and the hint of dragonfruit while faint is a unique flavor.
I used a large ice rock in this recipe since I assume Furosa had to cut off a chunk of what Link brings her during the quest. As far as looks go, I tried to style it in a way that fits the Gerudo Village theme, but you're free to garnish with whatever you want. Also feel free to use whatever tequila you have, I only used white because I thought it would help the light taste.
All in all, this drink is fantastic! It may be the best recreation I've made. I don't know if it was intentional, but Nintendo placed the perfect ingredients around this village for a bomb-ass cocktail!
If you have any questions please feel free to dm me or join our discord. I'm always down to help!
Thanks for reading, enjoy! 🍹

Golden Experience
30ml Spiced Rum
15ml Elderflower Liquer
15ml Pimms
10ml Lemon Juice
2 Dashes of Bitters
Combine ingredients and stir.
Serve in a rocks glass, garnish with a lemon or some gold flakes if you have them.
OOOH MY GOD!! I can't tell you how excited I am to finally make something Jojo related. This is one of my favorite series to date and now that season 5 of the anime has finished it seems appropriate to celebrate with this drink. Golden experience is hard, tangy, and bitter with a nice cut of gushy fruity life as you keep going. I tried to make it with the stand in mind and I reckon it came out pretty good! (I didn't have gold paper so I had to use yellow crinkle paper for the shot WRYYYYYYYY!!)
Hopefully this will quench your thirst until part 6 gets animated.
Enjoy!

15ml Cherry Liquer
1 Dash Rosemary Bitters
Egg white
Rosemary Branch to Garnish
Shake, strain, and enjoy. Shake for awhile to get the mosf fluff.
This is something I made and have been loving for the past week. If you liked the Piano Woman, you'll love this. I'm working on a lot right now in terms of personal life, but I've got a lot of recipies coming down the pipe so stay tuned over the next few months. Thanks to everyone who's stayed with the blog for this long as well as all of my regulars on our discord bar, you are all loved and appreciated 🥳

PK Flash
30ml Tequila Blanco
15ml Midori
10ml Sambuca
2 squeezed lime wedges or about 15ml
1 dash of curacao blue
1 pinch of salt
Salt the rim of your glass.
Combine ingredients, shake for slightly longer than normal.
Double strain into glass.
Give up and toss a lime rind in as a garnish because your pineapple wedges went off.
This cocktail tastes a lot better than it sounds. I was playing around for ages to find the perfect taste to represent the electric burst of PK Flash, this is the closest I could get without it insta-killing me. Don't worry though, it won't inflict any status effects!

PK Brainshock
45ml Gin
15ml Blue Curacao
15ml Alize (optional)
2 Lime wedges
2 Lemon Wedges
Grapefruit Bitters
60ml Cloudy Apple Juice
Red food dye
A single black raspberry for garnish (or whatever single dark fruit you want)
Combine all ingredients in a stirring glass except for the red food dye squeezing the lemons and limes into the mix.
Stir with ice and double strain into a martini glass.
Place your black raspberry at the bottom of the glass.
Dip a straw into your red food dye or cover the end of a toothpick in red food dye.
Gently place into the drink and create a spiral.
Enjoy!
This cocktail has quite a dry, sweet but sour taste. As you drink it, the red food dye slowly mixes in turning the drink a pinkish hue. If you want to fully get the pink color, just stir it.

Cocktails, anyone?
I think I might have the Rum Fizz, accompanied by a little white china dish that has some pretzels, a flawless wedge of cheese, six saltines, three perfectly matched celery sticks and some mixed nuts.
It’s 1954 all over again.

10ml Maraschino Cherry Juice
2 dashes of Cinamon Extract
1 Dash of Orange Bitters (Optional)
Dry Ginger Ale
Orange Rind
Pour Non-Ginger Ale ingredients into a tall shot glass.
Fill with Ginger Ale, and garnish with an orange rind.
As promised, here is the non-alcoholic version of my PK Fire shot. I've never done a non alcoholic shot before, it was like having a piece of candy. Short, smooth, firey and sweet!

PK Fire
40ml Overproof White Rum
10ml Orange Curacao
10ml Maraschino Cherry Juice
Two dashes of Cinnamon Extract
In a 60ml Shot Glass the non rum layers to the bottom and then layer the rum on top, slightly stirring if you want the color.
Garnish with an orange twist, rubbing the rind along the top for a nice smell.
Feel free to light this one on fire as I've done. If you plan on taking the shot while flaming (which I never reccomend, but I can't stop you) please don't use a garnish.
This shot is a bit firey but I suppose that's the point. I didn't want to use fireball as to not be too cliche, the cinamon infused rum has a much nicer flavor, be warned this is a heavy shot though. If you're going to drink these be warned that they're about 2 standard drinks each. I used 50% rum, any more than that and the ethanol burn gets quite heavy.
This marks the beginning of my Mother PSI Menu! Expect 2 more and possibly a secret fourth drink (no promises!). The Mother series has always been a favorite of mine with Mother 3 being one of my favorite games of all time so it seems appropriate to create a menu since Mother 3 is gaining popularity again.
Look forward to more on this blog!
Cheers! 🍹

Cranberry Candy (Redo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey, I decided to remake the Cranberry Candy from Stardew Valley today. I used blueberries this time and instead of a simple syrup, I used a mix of Golden Syrup and Blueberry Cordial. This version is much more palatable than my last one.
1 part Cranberry Juice
1 part Apple Juice (cloudy)
2 teaspoons of blueberry syrup which I made mixing blueberry cordial and Golden syrup and then heating them up.
Blueberries to taste.
