Considering sharing my playlist of songs that remind me of "Splintered" by AG Howard. If I get 5 likes on this post, I'll share half of it, as well as why that specific song is on there. Only some of them are from the authors playlist. I like to listen to these songs and be reminded of certain parts of the series. Anywho, let me know if that's something anyone is even interested in. Also, if you're a Splintered fan or you post about Splintered content, lmk so I can give you a follow, I feel like it's such a small fandom!

Sharp Dressed Man-Brad Paisley (any version, I just like Brad's voice) I feel like this is very much how Morpheus perceives himself in general, but especially as it pertains to Alyssa. I feel like in the second book, we saw a little more of his preening side in M, and most of that is just him being him, but I think we can all agree that he was showing off at least a bit for Alyssa.

Crazy (Cover)-Daniela Andrade. As we see Alyssa give in more and more to her netherling tendencies, she not only accepts it, she leans into it. She realizes in Wonderland that even if some people back home saw her as crazy, she has a whole realm of beings that encourage her to be the craziest version of herself, the part of her that is natural. She is never more herself than when she accepts who she is as a whole. And maybe that makes her crazy 😉

Not Strong Enough-Apocalyptica. I think this one was part of A. G. Howard's playlist for Morpheus, I forget, but the themes and tone of the song easily fit with the tone of Morpheus throughout all the books. The way he doesn't even try to fight his feelings for Alyssa, no matter how she seems to disdain him and his feelings. I could easily get into a Morpheus mindset just by listening to this song. I don't know that there's one particular moment that this song fits, just his character as a whole.

You Should See Me In A Crown-Billie Eilish. So, I don't want to give spoilers for book 3, but if you know, you know. All I'll say is Alyssa.

All I Ask-Adele. (SPOILER WARNING ⚠)OK, so if you haven't read book 3, this is a spoiler of the ending, so do not read past this point if you have not read the entirety of book 3!!!!!!! Ok, but Morpheus and Alyssa, after they get done with their tour of Wonderland and go back to his place 😭😭😭 anywho, this song very much puts me in the feels for that part! Like, just the whole dialogue and everything, and Morpheus not being a butt for one second lol...anywho, yeah, this song...

That's not the entire playlist, that was just a sampling, but if yall want the rest, just lmk. Sorry if anyone is dissatisfied with my song choices, I can't speak for others, this is just personally what goes through my head for these parts of the books. Lots of love, stay crazy!

Like Jane Seymour, Tim is ride or die. He’s been there through the lowest points in Bruce’s life, and he’s stuck by even when no one else would. Both Tim and Jane are self aware enough to know that this isn’t exactly the healthiest choice for them, but they prioritize their family over themselves anyways.

Damian- Get Down

Bruce wasn’t exactly excited when Damian showed up out of nowhere. Just like Anne of Cleves, Damian didn’t let this icy reception slow him down. They both have a strong sense of self worth and refused to be humiliated by what others think of them.

Butterfly AU

Miraculous Ladybug AU where everyone is born with wings on their backs and the girls get butterfly wings and the boys get moth wings because reasons. And they fly to get places except when it rains because if their wings get wet they can’t fly (important later on). And Marinette has rose petal pink wings lined in black and Alya has red and white patterned wings and Nino has wings that match his blue shirt. Nearly everyone in Paris has these wings since birth except for a select few referred to as “Wingless” who are (mostly by Chloe) treated as second class citizens. I’m thinking Lila would be a perfect Wingless who lies about having beautiful wings to try and fit in. (Wing patterns slightly indicative of attractiveness).

Anyways Adrien is an honorary Wingless. Not because he doesn’t have wings -on the contrary he has some of the most beautiful moth wings around. But his wings have been very subtly clipped: rendering him unable to fly but don’t affect his modeling career. But when he gets his ring and transforms into Chat Noir for the first time the power of the miraculous turns his wings black with green paw print like eyes and grants him the ability to fly for the first time in his life. Giving him a potential reason to want to stay Chat all the time, not only is he free to act as he feels, he’s literally free. When Marinette transforms into Ladybug the magic of the transformation turns her pink wings into a lush red with black stars dotted on them. Imagine that first day of school after the whole Stone Heart incident where Marinette is waiting out the storm so she doesn’t get her wings wet because they take literally FOREVER to dry. Imagine Adrien seeing his car and knowing it really won’t matter if his wings get wet apologizing to Marinette for the gum incident and offering his umbrella. Imagine Marinette’s heart speeding up because not only has this pure ray of sunshine apologized to her.p, he’s getting his wings WET and offering her a way to keep hers dry. Imagine Marinette thinking Adrien has the most beautiful wings ever. Imagine Adrien’s love poem talking about how her iridescent wings flutter so gracefully and make Ladybug look as though she’s dancing on air. Imagine Marinette -once finding out that Adrien can’t fly (outside of being Chat that is)- transforming into Ladybug and offering him the chance to know what it feels like. And Adrien accepting not only because it would allow him to spend time with his lady, but also because he wants to know what it feels like to fly as himself. Imagine the akumas. Oh GOD imagine the akumas. Each of their wings transforming in shape and pattern to reflect their new self. The artistic possibilities matching their wings with their outfits. In short, I want a butterfly AU.

I saw a post once that said that the reason for Ladrien being the “least popular” ship in the love square is because people aren’t used to F/M ships where the female is the dominant one, and it’s haunted me ever since because no, that’s not the reasoning in my mind.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Ladrien like it’s my own child. It’s just that it’s too easy, and it comes with the least character development out of the love square.

Adrien and Ladybug already both like each other. They could get together and nothing would change.

With the other ships, however, at least one person is learning to love the person they used to overlook/reject.

With Ladynoir, Ladybug is learning to love Chat.

With Adrienette, Adrien is learning to love Marinette.

With Marichat, Chat and Marinette are both learning to love each other. I guess that’s why Marichat is my favorite ship out of the love square- it comes with the most development.

I would love it if Ladrien would become canon, but at the same time, I would hate it because there just wouldn’t be enough development for Mari and Adrien.

Ok, so a lot of people have been talking about the painting of Adrien and Gabriel, and how it's weird since it had been less than a year since Mrs. Agreste had gone missing when it was done. I get where you're all coming from, but what if they had scheduled the painting BEFORE mama agreste dissapeared? Like, it was supposed to be a family portrait, but she went missing, and Gabriel was too stubborn to cancel or whatever? Also, can I take this a step further and say, if it was to be a family portrait, wouldn't it make sense that it would be in honor of some great news....such as a baby? What if mama agreste was pregnant, but she had to leave to protect the baby? Idk, I'm probably just hyped up on sugar rn
