“Don’t go.”

Well that was not what either of them expected. Evelyn was giving Beatrice a very unimpressed look with both of her hands on top of her very pregnant stomach, hair in a bun and her outfit consisted of one of Jake’s hoodies and soft pants…and Wiley, who was lying next to her.

Beatrice was with her outside, on the large balcony, with Nicole on her lap while Rooster and Jake talked inside not too far from them. Her husband did hear those words leave their friend’s mouth and tilted his head back to pay more attention, “...don’t…go?”

“Yeah,”Ev replies, “Don’t go to the base.”

“Why?”

She just arched her brow at Bea, shrugging, “Why should you,honestly? Did my dad agree to this?’ and to Evelyn’s surprise…Beatrice nodded, ‘...you are joking.”

"I'm not joking, Ev. Rooster did talk to your dad about it, and he agreed to it," she said gently. "He understands that I want to visit the base, and I won’t be alone! Maverick will be with me.."

Evelyn's eyes narrowed slightly, holding her head up with her fingers against her temple "Are you sure it was my dad? Because he sounds either feverish or like he was replaced.” Evelyn mutters, “I’ll be honest,I know you wanna see how it is, but I gotta say…it’s a bit boring for us civilians.”

Beatrice chuckled, understanding Evelyn's sentiment. "I know it might not be the most exciting experience for civilians, but I'm actually looking forward to it. I want to see where Rooster and the team work! It won’t be that bad."

Evelyn leaned back, relaxing a bit. "Alright, if you're into that sort of thing. Just don’t be disappointed if it's not as thrilling as you imagine. It's a lot of routine and protocols, you know? But hey, if it makes you happy, go for it."

“Really?”

“I mean, honestly I am so used to visiting bases.” she mutters, “I’ve been…waddling around since I was a baby. I did stop a few years back because of the whole drama with my dad…you know.”

“Are you going back to it now?”

Evelyn snorted, “No, but he wants me to bring the little pumpkin over.”

“Ah…”

“What?”

Beatrice’s smile softened, “Maybe he’s mellowed now that he’s going to be a grandpa Ev.”

Evelyn raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Mellowed? That's a stretch. But maybe he's trying to be more involved, I don't know. I guess being a grandpa has changed his perspective a bit." She rubbed her baby bump thoughtfully. "Who knows? Maybe he'll be a good grandpa."

Beatrice grinned. She could see that Evelyn wanted it too "Well, I hope he takes to it well. And how is Wiley taking it?” she asks, nodding to the orange cat curled up by Evelyn’s side.

Evelyn chuckled, glancing down at Wiley, who was comfortably lounging by her side, purring quietly. "Oh, Wiley? He's taking it in his stride, as always. Cats are a bit more aloof, you know? But I think he's going to be curious about the new arrival when the time comes. Right now, he's just enjoying the attention he gets from us." she pauses, “And some of the baby stuff we have out already.”

"Sounds like he's going to be great,though," Beatrice remarked, her smile warm. "I'm glad he's there with you through all of this. They just seem to know, you know? The dogs back home did…especially Jolene."

“I don’t doubt it.” she says, scratching the cat behind the ears, “Jojo always had a symbiotic relationship with you.”

“Yeah.”

Evelyn’s smile drops for a second, glancing quickly at Rooster and Jake still talking inside and lowering her voice towards Beatrice, “How are you?’ she asks, ‘And how are the twins?”

The brunette gave her friend a small smile, then shrugs, ‘They are okay, at the hospital…we go there almost daily to check on them and give them more milk…they are…big little babies, you know?”

Evelyn nodded sympathetically. "I can imagine how tough that must be, having them at the hospital.” she leans closer to hold her friend’s hand “But they're in good hands. And you're doing everything you can for them."

Beatrice's smile grew more genuine. "Yeah, we're doing our best. It's been a challenging time, but we're taking it one day at a time." she shrugs, “It’s been um…kinda messing with me a bit.”

“Anxiety?”

“Yeah.”

“Hm,I get it.” Evelyn replies, crossing her legs by the ankle as she leans back, “My anxiety has been up these past months.” she explains and Beatrice gives her a confused look, “Oh you know, first time mom things.”

“I know.” Beatrice replies, “I was the same way.”

She was going to say more, but Evelyn inhaled sharply, then cleared her throat, adjusting herself the best way that she could on her seat and Beatrice mirrored it out of habit bringing Nicole closer to her body, “Anyway,” her friend says, waving her hands, “Do you want some tips for when you finally go to the base? Maverick will be with you,yeah?”

She nodded, “ Yeah, he’ll be with me all the time.”

Evelyn nodded, pursing her lips, ‘My dad must love that Pete will be with you…anyway, besides the obvious ‘not going’ which you won’t do, here’s a couple things, one:” she unfurls her finger as she explains it “ the base is usually pretty safe, but you've got to follow the rules to the T. They can be quite strict, but it's for everyone's safety. Two: Listen carefully to any instructions they give you, especially about where you can and can't go, and make sure you have proper identification on you at all times.

Beatrice nodded, absorbing the advice. "Got it. Follow the rules and have my ID handy, I can do that."

"Exactly," Evelyn continued, "And three, if you're going to be around any training exercises or drills, be prepared for some loud noises,but I doubt that Pete will take you there…right?” the sudden pause makes Evelyn clear her throat, because Beatrice could only offer her friend an apologetic shrug followed by her own little smile. “...anyway, it’ll be fine. You’ll be alright.”

“I know. I’ll be okay.” she replies, hugging Nicole to her chest so she could kiss her forehead, “Oh,by the way,I saw Marcus yesterday.” Evelyn turned her head towards Beatrice, “He’s planning a new collection already.”

“Marcus needs to take a break. It’s not going to be good for his brain if he goes on like that.”Evelyn grunts while getting herself comfortable - which meant lying on the bench and sighing in relief once the pressure eased, “But what’s it about?”

“Oh, the Navy. He was very inspired by us and such…and he wants Shells to join and you–”

“Ah,” Evelyn holds up a hand, “The second this baby is out I’m not moving. I don’t know how you do it, honestly, you are a fucking trooper Beatrice.” Evelyn pauses with her eyes wide,turning the irises towards Nicole who just smiled up at her, “Sorry,bad word. I mean you are a trooper,Bea. You do so much and you still are okay.”

Maybe physically,but mentally,Beatrice was still dealing with her own demons. And she didn’t want to tell Evelyn nor Rooster but she did have some bad dreams these past days, they weren’t bad enough to make her wake up but they were…bad. Mostly based on her own guilt and all that.

“Thanks,Ev.” she whispers, giving her friend a small smile, “You’ll be alright, is he moving a lot?” cue to her friend wincing - the subtle clench of her jaw made Beatrice huff softly, “Yeah,Nikki was like that a bit too, the twins not so much–”

They were out before they could do that,stupid.

And that cut her words immediately, her eyes turned to the side and she hoped Evelyn hadn’t noticed it…but of course she did.

Evelyn noticed the change in Beatrice's demeanor, the sudden interruption in her words, and the distant look in her eyes. She understood that this topic hit a sensitive spot, but she was also keenly aware that Beatrice might not want to talk about it further. Evelyn had known Beatrice for a long time, and she respected her friend's boundaries.

She gently reached out and placed a hand on Beatrice's arm, giving it a comforting squeeze. "Hey, it's okay," she said softly, her voice full of empathy. "You've been through a lot, Bea. The fact that you're handling it as well as you are is a testament to your strength. And you have Rooster and all of us supporting you."

Beatrice gave a small nod, her smile returning, though it still held a tinge of sadness. "Thanks, Ev. You're right, sorry.”

“Don’t apologize.” she whispers, “Really.”

Inside, both men were looking at the interaction while sharing some beers. It was one of the few days Rooster allowed himself to drink because it was their final day before going back to work and he needed it. These past weeks were rough, they will keep being rough until the twins are officially safe to come home with them.

Jake sips the beer he’s holding and keeps it in his mouth for a few seconds, “How long until they can come home?”

Rooster sighs,leaning back on the soft couch, chewing the inside of his cheek, “Four months and a few weeks, they were born super early. They want to make sure they’ll be okay…but they did say that,for premature babies, they are going well.”

Jake took another thoughtful sip of his beer, processing the weight of Rooster's words. "Four months and a few weeks... That's a long time, man.” Rooster gives him a heavy nod, before chugging more of his beer. “But hey, you and Bea, you've faced tough situations before, and you've come out strong. You'll get through this too."

Rooster chuckled quietly, rubbing his forehead with the back of his thumb before sighing.

"Yeah, it's tough, no doubt about it. But we're doing everything we can. It's just... It's hard to see them there, not with us at home.And I know it’s been eating Bea from the inside. I know it has.” he pauses, “She blames herself for it.”

“It’s not her fault.”

“It’s not, but she doesn’t believe that.” he looks back to where Beatrice is, holding Nicole and smiling to whatever it was that Evelyn was saying, “...she’s a great mom,Jake.” he whispers, “She’s great. She shouldn’t feel that much because of something out of her control.”

Jake put a reassuring hand on Rooster's shoulder. "I know, man. I know…you know you can tell us if you need help right? We can stay with Nikki for a bit if you two need a break.” he offers, genuinely, giving Rooster a smile, “We don’t stay with her enough.”

Rooster's gratitude was evident in his tired eyes as he looked at Jake, "Thanks, Jake. That really means a lot. I’ll let Bea know, she’ll be happy to hear that.” he says, sighing heavily and then rubbing his eyes, “But it’s been good, we can’t complain that much besides the usual worry.”

“I get it.”

As he took another sip of his beer, he continued, "And I appreciate the offer to stay with Nikki, by the way. I have a feeling Beatrice will be…hesitant because of Evelyn’s pregnancy,but I will tell her about it.” he pauses, “Speaking of which, how is it going so far? How is it treating the two of you?”

Hangman pursed his lips, holding the beer bottle millimeters from his mouth, “...well…it’s been going well. Ev has been doing great…we also decided to schedule the wedding after the baby is born. Better that way.”

“And how is Cyclone dealing with,” Rooster does a circle with his bottle in the air, “All this?”

The mention, the very mention of Evelyn’s father appeared to drain all color from Jake’s face and his blue eyes even appeared gray instead. Rooster just blinked, because his friend was taking a while to reply, ‘...Jake?”

"Sorry, man," Jake finally replied, his voice carrying a hint of hesitation followed by laughter. "It's... well, it's complicated. Cyclone- Beau has been trying to step in as a grandfather and Ev is…alright, but he’s also our superior and,” he inhales, “It’s weird. How would you feel if Bea’s dad was a vice-admiral?”

The image of Rafael as someone like that somehow didn’t seem too far fetched, only that his father in law was much calmer than Cyclone ever was. “I’d be kinda freaked out but her dad is pretty chill, so maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.”

“Lucky.”

It was still funny to see how much Jake appeared uncomfortable by Cyclone,hell he’d be uncomfortable by Cyclone if he was Beatrice’s father, but at least he hasn’t tried anything to separate the two. “Also,” Rooster begins, “Bea is going to the base.”

Jake flicked his worried eyes at Rooster, the worry melting only to be replaced with confusion, “Wait,really?” the other pilot nods, “Was that why you talked to Cyclone a few days back?” Rooster tossed his arms up in exasperation, rolling his eyes as if to ask how the hell did he know, “...Nat saw it and told Javy, who then told me.”

“Jesus Christ,” Rooster mutters, “You are all relentless. but at least they cared. Rooster looked back to check if Beatrice was still talking to Evelyn and then turned to face Hangman again, “Listen,” he begins, pointing at him with the index finger from the hand still holding the bottle, “Bea is going there and she’ll stay with Pete, he promised me to take care of her but I swear if you or any of you see anything out of the ordinary, I need you guys to tell me.”

Jake looked back at Bea, slowly bringing the bottle to his lips, “Does she know about that?”

“What?No.”

“I mean,” the blonde man shrugs, “I’m just sayin’ that maybe she wouldn’t like having another baby sitter or several baby sitters while she’s at the base,” and he tilts his head to give Rooster a look, “Because she’s grown.”

“My problem isn’t Bea.” he reassures his friend, pressing his elbows on his thighs,”Mav is amazing and I adore him but we all know how crazy he can be.” he explains, opening his hands to show emphasis on his explanation, “And Bea…Bea went through a lot, I don’t want her to get overwhelmed.”

Even though he and Bea did illegally enter the base when they were dating. But that was then.

Jake hummed, not really believing him, but chose to drink instead of replying. Rooster frowned, moving his hand as he continues, ‘She’s just going to be there for a little bit, just enough to…walk around with Mav.”

“Aren’t you going to be instructing some of the new recruits?”

“Yeah.”

His friend arches his brows higher, “Are you going to stay in there and not check on Bea every time?”

Rooster paused, his mouth opening then closing because honestly…maybe he considered it. Maybe he did. Maybe he could sneak away quickly and then come back before anyone noticed he was gone.

Jake couldn't help but chuckle at Rooster's struggle to come up with an answer. He knew exactly how protective Rooster was of Beatrice, and the thought of being away from her, even for a short time, clearly made him uneasy. "Yeah, man, I get it," Jake finally said, giving Rooster a knowing look. "But,don’t worry,if I see anything out of the ordinary I’ll let you know. She’s going to be okay though, she’ll be with Mav.”

He sighed, leaning back on his seat with his hands between his thighs, looking back to where Beatrice was, “...I just want her to have a moment to breathe,” he confessed, “It’s not…how I wanted it to happen but she seemed to be happy about it. She is happy about it.”

“She likes us,” Jake’s ego finally appeared and Rooster rolled his eyes, “Can we blame her?”

Bradley huffed, giving Beatrice one final look before smiling sweetly, ‘She’s just that sweet,I guess.”

“Jesus, the heart eyes are still there.”

Bradley’s brow flicked with complete amusement, “They never left,” he says, “I love my wife. Don’t play as if you don’t do the same to Ev, cause we both know you do.” and he wasn’t ashamed of showing how much he adored Bea.

He knew it was going to be fine.

I absolutely love your Pokémon au and all of your works 😭 could I ask for some fluff headcanons today? Im going through some pretty annoying bad tic days lately. (Just for some background info - tics are spasms that make your body move involuntarily, I don’t have Tourette syndrome, but I have pretty annoying ass tics lmao)

Like Corazon, he's very patient with your tics.

He's also carrying you your things and helping you with everything he can if you let him.

When you hit yourself with your book, he's quick to rush to your side and began to soothe you.

Yamato

Yamato isn't very well educated about tics so you'll have to give him a summary of it.

Riddle sent Noriko a look of clear, potent, exasperation. Holding his scepter in his hands, he lightly tapped Noriko's back with its blunt end.

“I understand your admiration for Miss Shard, she is a well-accomplished diplomat,” Riddle sighed. “However-”

“Lady Victoria's actually much more than a well-accomplished diplomat, housewarden Rosehearts,” Noriko finished painting one rose and proceeded to paint the next. “In fact, she's an officially licensed knight. Did you know she was officially knighted by the Queen of the Queendom of Roses at just the age-”

“Silence,” Riddle ran a hand through his hair, making sure to be at a considerable distance from Noriko.

Keres had recently returned from running another errand from Crowley and happened to notice the fatigued expression on Riddle's face.

“Are you quite alright, housewarden?” They asked, slightly nervous yet nevertheless concerned. “You appear rather… Err…. Parched.”

Riddle exhaled, his head tilting up and breathing in the fresh air. It took about 5 minutes for him to get himself together before he could reply.

“I'm fine, Keres,” The look of exasperation on Riddle's face said otherwise.

Deuce laughed awkwardly, walking past Keres to head to tend to the hedgehog's outside of the rose maze.

“I'd suggest keeping a safe distance from a certain someone for a bit,” he mumbled to Keres offhandedly, nodding his head toward Noriko before walking off.

Upon noticing that Deuce was referring to Noriko, Keres sighed heavily.

“Suddenly everything makes sense…” They muttered. They ended up receiving another call from Crowley for another errand, and unfortunately, Keres had less time to judge Noriko than to do work Crowley didn't wanna do.

For whatever reason, Noriko had an almost disturbing attachment to Victoria Shard of Pomefiore, of all people.

The young man and Pomefiore's ‘almost housewarden’ got along incredibly well, seemingly attached to the hip. Noriko's loyalty to the woman was often considered worrying to their peers; yet they paid no mind to their opinions in regards to their loyalty.

Noriko climbed down the ladder after finishing their task of painting the roses and later received a text.

They furrowed their eyebrows. Elara…

Nuisance number 18: Come to Octavinelle, we gotta talk.

“Whatever could she want to talk about?” He huffed, putting his phone in his pocket. “It better be something noteworthy…”

“You need to be sent to a mental institution.”

Noriko blinked. Of all things, Elara could say when they arrived at Octavinelle, that was how she greeted them.

They narrowed their eyes. “I don't quite follow,” Noriko folded their arms over their chest. “You said you wanted to talk about something, so talk.”

Offhandedly, they looked down at the ground, thinking of a certain someone. “... I have somewhere to be, later.”

Elara snorted. “Don't worry Nori-”

“Don't call me that.” Noriko shut her down in less than a millisecond.

Elara smirked, a hand on her hip. “Like I said, don't worry,” her other hand was waving around carelessly. “All I want is to discuss your little relationship with Little Miss Perfectionist.”

The blue-haired knight could recognize who that nickname was for in a heartbeat. “What about me and Lady Victoria?”

Elara's smirk widened. “Remember what I said about you needing to be sent to a mental institution? That's what I meant.”

“What does that have to do with my relationship with Lady Victoria?”

“Everything.”

“Pardon?”

Elara hummed. “What I mean is that you, Mr. Loyalty Incarnate, are obsessed.”

“I'm not,” Noriko frowned. “I am merely loyal to the woman I-”

“Love?” She cut him off, chuckling shortly after. “Don't try to excuse it as some sense of duty, Noriko. You have no obligation to serve her in the way you do.”

“We owe her,” they insisted. “After what she's done for us, for all of us, how could we not?”

“.... Fair,” but Elara shrugged. “but you can't deny that she means more to you than just someone you've sworn to protect.”

“You’re so willing to throw all of your morals for a woman who saved you? You're not devoted, you're beyond obsession.”

Noriko didn't have anything to say to that, almost as if confirming to Elara just how much they value Victoria's word over all else.

Instead of standing around to listen to Elara talking down on them, Noriko turned the other way and walked out of Octavinelle.

Elara's manner turned neutral. “That guy's just hopeless…” she scoffed.

“Elara,” Jade called out from behind her, holding a stack of paperwork that Azul presumably needed to sign. “What are you doing?”

She stared at Jade for a good minute, then let out a breath, resuming her work at the Monstro Lounge.

“Nothing.”

༝ㅤ･ㅤ˚ㅤ。ㅤ.ㅤ⋆ㅤ꒷꒦꒷꒦ ✧̣̩⋆̩☽⋆゜【♛】

“There you are.”

Victoria's smile almost undid Noriko as they walked toward where she sat in the forests of Pomefiore.

They smiled back at her. “It took me quite a while to find you…” Noriko sat on the grass beside her. “Pomefiore's forests aren't exactly easy to navigate.”

Victoria chuckled. “Apologies,” she set her book down on her lap. “I take it that it took a while to navigate your way to me?”

“You could say that.”

“Well, I suppose I must apologize for that, as well.”

“Don't be,” he chuckled slightly. “I'll always find my way to you, My Lady.”

Victoria's smile transitioned into a teasing smirk. “Oh?” She inched her face closer to his. “Is that so, Noriko Dolion?”

“Ah-” Noriko's face flushed very easily, especially around her. “My Lady… Your face is…”

Victoria giggled, pressing a kiss to the tip of their nose. “I merely jest, Nori.”

Noriko's face remained somewhat flushed, however, they leaned against the tree behind them. “R-Right…”

She leaned against their shoulder, and they let her. For her, Noriko would let her do whatever she wanted around him. It didn't matter what it was.

It never mattered what her intentions were.

“Did you have a long day?” Victoria started with simple questions. As much as she enjoyed a comforting silence, she enjoyed idle conversation just as much.

And Noriko obliged in her want for that. “You could say that,” their head rested over hers. “Thankfully, I never once ran into Diasomnia’s Housewarden on the way here.”

Noriko made sure to be careful in choosing his words when it came to mentioning Malleus; Victoria's soured bearing said as much.

“Good for you,” she let out a heavy breath. “Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of encountering him during class. We share the same classes, after all.”

“And I can't help but envy that prince for that,” Noriko grumbled. “He doesn't deserve to see your face as often as he does, My Lady…”

Victoria snorted. “You think so, Nori?”

“I know so,” Noriko replied quickly. “Malleus Draconia causes nothing but trouble for you. I want nothing to do with that man if it meant you'd be in a notably less amicable mood.”

She could only hum in response to that, feeling all the more endeared the longer her conversation with Nori lasted.

Slowly, painstakingly slowly, her hand went over theirs — lightly tracing her thumb over the back of it.

“.... Thank you, Nori,” she uttered. “For… For staying.”

Silence was — and perhaps always will be — a long-time companion for Victoria Shard. And it didn't try and leave, even during moments like this.

Her words: They sounded random. Unexpected, yet said with good intent.

Noriko knew why she'd breathed it out so suddenly. Why she'd thank him for something as little as staying with her.

But to them — to both of them — there was nothing ‘little’ about Noriko Dolion staying with her for as long as they have.

They both said nothing of it.

Noriko's hand eventually intertwined its fingers with hers, and there was the barest hint of a smile on them. On both of them.

“The honor is mine.”

JJ's Older brother - Headcanon

Bobby Maybank - 23

Six years older than JJ, still living at home because he's paying off debt that his father put in his name.

Hot-head, anger can get the better of him but he's trying to think more before he lashes out.

Works part time as a firefighter and does odd handyman jobs for extra cash.

Always looked out for his little brother, but can't be there for him all the time.

keeps his dad at arms length, tries his best to put himself in the crossfire of their fathers anger instead of JJ.

Thinks JJ is the better Maybank and hates how he get judged for his father/older brothers mistakes.

Takes the blame for most things.

Bails JJ out of trouble every time. "You gotta stop with this shit, J. No ones gonna care soon and you'll be just like him."

Tries to give JJ as much stability as he can, even when he's never had it himself. He makes more mistakes than wins when it comes to his little brother.

Shoved JJ once during an argument and vowed never to lose his temper with him again, even if his younger brother does push his buttons or do something stupid.

They argue a lot, but always resolve it quickly.

JJ's definitely been lectured about not putting out a cigarette and fires. "Start a fire one time man."

Pulls JJ out of fights with Kooks, sometimes to squares up to them so they leave him alone (but doesn't throw a punch).

"You used to punch first and ask questions later," JJ scoffed. "Yeah, but I was swinging at guys my own age. I'm not going to punch a kid now, go to jail for that shit."

Used to sleep in his truck when he had nowhere to go, least he knew JJ had John B's to go.

People in the outer banks can't seem to get past his last name and judge him for being a Maybank, even if he's trying to do better for himself.

used to be close friends with Barry, they still have respect for each other but don't go out of their way to be friendly anymore.

Sticks up for JJ if anyone bad mouths him. "Don't say shit about my brother." "Watch your mouth." Points figure.

Listens to his younger brothers strange ramblings and just nods his head as if he understands.

Pogues have a bet on who can get a smile out of him...which is still running.

keeps to himself and works a lot.

Things that make me happy? I have a lot but if it comes to here I guess I can think of some things.

1: I like it when people reblog my stuff, especially the things that aren't overly popular. Like half of my art that has a shit ton of attention are of the smiling critter things and then I look at my OCs that have... Like 2 reblogs and maybe 4 likes. So I like it when people look my OC art because I worked a lot on those (even the lore bits)

2: I enjoy getting comments and asks about little things about myself, it's fun to write about the things I like.. And maybe getting asks for my OCs? I LOVE WRITING ABOUT THEM PLEASE SOMEONE ASK CECE SOMETHI-

3: I don't know why people use the tags to comment on people's posts when they reblog things but sometimes it can be so funny to see their reaction, and it's unironically the funniest thing. Also some of the messages of the reblogged posts are so funny 💀. The McDonald's Gabriel thingy I did that kinda blew up has so many people being like "yes I'll have (a food from the restaurant)" but yeah. Now I'm kinda just rambling lol.

4: These last two are kinda tricky because these never happened (yet) and I'm sure any artist can relate to the sheer volume of happiness that can suddenly materialize within you, but it's when people comment about my art and how much they love it, I know that I'm good at art it's just sometimes I kinda doubt my ability or get down on myself when things don't get attention but I gotta remember it's the stinky algorithm.

5: For this, I hope one day it'll happen. But I love getting fanart of my OCs, so far it's really only been my small friend group whose been drawing for each other, and even from them I get happy about seeing my OCs in their art styles or just doing stupid shit. Or with their OCs.

But yeah that's pretty much what I can think of.

Listen, I thought about it for a while, I truly did. I considered pairing you with Zhongli or Morax, then with Capitano, but in my heart you’re a Foul Legacy lover and it feels cruel to pull you two apart. I could imagine you two trying to make sugar cookies together but they come out a total mess because FL just wants to help but he’s far too big and clumsy in the kitchen, so all the measurements get messed up and there’s icing and flour and crumbs everywhere, somehow there’s egg shells on the wall, but you two had fun and that’s what matters! I could see you both going for a quiet evening walk together, maybe along the coast, watching the seabirds go by and maybe collecting seashells if you come across a beach together!

Prefacing this by saying I know that Jake is implicitly an only child in canon. Counter argument, shut up /j oldest child syndrome made worse by absent parents. My defense:

Alana kept her voice as level as she could, despite her frustration. "Can you be an adult for just a couple minutes, please?"

A fist hit the table. "I've had to be the adult since I was thirteen!"

Alana startled at the harsh constriction in Jake's voice, his once casual and flippant demeanor turning so fast that it just about gave her whiplash.

A mirthless laugh choked Jake as he threw a hand out. "Criminal parents fucking off to who knows where all the time meant that someone needed to grow up! Someone needed to be responsible and make sure that the kids were happy and safe! And sometimes-"

His voice wavered, breath shaking as he looked off at the wall instead of at Alana.

"Maybe sometimes I just wanna be a kid. Get excited about Kiddie Land. Go down a Giant Slide. Just," he gave a hopeless shrug, "pretend things aren't so fucked up, at least for a little while. Long enough to not... burn out on being the adult, right when I really need to be."

8. Is there a story idea that you would love if it could appear fully realized but that you do not think you'll ever write yourself?

Halo au would be fun. I say, as if I have a real Story in mind for it besides a couple scenes and Vibes lmao. I have so many Concept stories that I just never actually touch in any meaningful way, hell it's a miracle if I ever doodle anything for them.

10. If you could banish a single trope to live at the bottom of the ocean, never to be seen by any human eyes (or at least your own), which trope would that be?

The simple fact that I don't know by virtue of not reading super often goes to show that I don't feel strong negative emotions about any particular trope (and that im not adventurous lmao /hj.) Anything can be executed beautifully or terribly.

I once criticized coffee shop and adjacent aus for being nothing burgers by (generally, i can think of at least one exception) ending after character A gives B their number, but like? I don't have enough vitriol to cast such aus into the ocean lol, they can stay

7. A fic of yours you think is underrated?

Besides my 4 year old coping-with-quarantine project that spiraled into almost 330k words of length and became So Personal, probably Joyride. I blame its lack of attention on the fact that I just shat out a one-sentence summary and assumed that would be enough for those that had already read Weakness lol (hi becca)

8. What's the best summary you've come up with?

The fact that the L2C summary was so long that it wouldn't fit into ao3's character limit (but that it wasn't long enough/was too summarizey to be its own chapter or part of the prologue) and had to be broken into the summary and beginning notes goes to show how much I cared about making it Perfect™️ lol

10. Do you read your own fics for fun?

Not super often but yeah! Usually as a post-upload riding the high ya know? Swallow Up Your Heart of Gold actually keeps popping into my brain and I gotta get a hit of that sweet sweet hurt/comfort <3

In fact I would often reread rps that a friend and I did so get that same hit

hello!! i would, gladly! i'm/it's not *that* organized unfortunately, i'm always like... "i should have a tag for that", and then.. i never do it 😭 but i have sort of settled on a system at least for the races, that i can follow.

on race weekends i use three tags, one for the location (eg. #hungary, #spain), one for the year ofc (eg. #24) and a combined one, so i can track that one specific race weekend (eg. #hun24, #esp24). this way if i want to search stuff from silverstone, spain etc, i can do it and it'll bring up everything from that place, regardless of the year. and same for the year, if i want to see stuff from say 2021, i'll just search #21.

(into the main tags, so year and location i put the more.. proper posts, while the specific race weekend tags tend to have more random posts in them as well.. it's just. the vibes from my side, whether i will use all three tags or not 😭)

edit: i just remembered that during the grand prix i also use the tumblr tag of the gp. so for instance during the spanish gp, that'd be #spanish gp 2024.

all years have a tag, but for the childhood years, which i consider until the end of the karting years (so in george's case that's 2013) i mostly use #ch. 2018 and 2017 are the only ones where i use the full year, because if you use #18 and #17 as tags the post won't show up in the search system...

i have some other tags too, for this winter break i was using #wb23 and #wb24, for the summer break i had #sb23. now for the pre-season, starting with today i settled on #prs24. for the pre-season test in bahrain, i will use both #testing and #testing24. i've been tempted to use a non-race weekend tag, or a tag for official photoshoots, so... maybe starting with this season i'll do that too! i'm lazy tho, because i always think that through the archive i will find everything i want to 😭...

some other tags that i have are #*m (any "major" post made my be) and #*p (proper photos), but these are more just for myself. looking back on things it'd have been easier to start tagging reblogs, instead of my own posts, but it kinda stuck from my previous blog... for my gifs, edits i use #*mine. i have some other tags too, #q for quotes and interviews, #j for the occasional memes, and #r for any random posts from my side.

i also made separate tags for george's firsts, so first win, podium, pole, williams point :')

it's a bit of a mess probably from the outside, but i'll be honest, i never really expect people to browse these tags a lot. it'd be cool if they would tho :)...

32: Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke? (Aehms and Smith)

Aehms would always be ready to launch into a tangent about the labs to anyone who happened to cross his path. Customers at a cafe, passengers in buses, even pedestrians who happened to bump into him on the street... Everyone, really. Alternatively, Smith loves to tell stories about growing up and living on the apple farm, and he even has a cache of apple-related jokes to those who care for that. (kinda half-brained this one tbh)

43: If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so? (Jose)

If you asked Jose what his sexuality was, he'd tell you he's straight, but he certainly wouldn't give that answer to you straight. There would be like 3 separate tangents he'd go on to explain it, and one of them would probably involve him subconsciously promoting some kind of personal grooming product. That fabulous stache factors into a lot of aspects of his life

11: How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)? (Benson)

Benson would, as he does, immediately tie the confusion he's having to some kind of paranormal activity. He'd then become hyper-focused on finding an explanation that confirms this, and most of the time be let down once the clouds of confusion are lifted

38: What memory do they revisit the most often? (Techno)

For Techno, that would be the time he was recorded having the playful "fight" that was recorded by a bystander and spiraled into the false rivalry that's essentially consumed his career. Considering how much this changed the direction of his life, he revisits this one a whole heck of a lot.

15: How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? (312)

312 has a natural talent for being casual with his speech, with his whole carefree attitude and all, but he buckles down when something gets him in a serious mood. That doesn't happen all too often, though

9: Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word? (Ari)

The incident that sparked his passion for thrill seeking: In his grade school years, he once stumbled just before a set of stairs, jumped down the whole flight of them accidentally, and landed on his two feet perfectly by happenstance. "Damn!"

As for regular swearing, you don't see Ari do much of it unless he's having a really fun time

15: How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? (Viktor)

As impulsive and loud as he is, Viktor doesn't really have much of a "filter". That being said, the fact that he's a good soul at heart means that he doesn't often stumble into trouble because of it... But there are times when miscommunications and slip-ups put him in Situations.

1: What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do? (925)

(I gotta try and be more vague about comic spoilers now that I'm porting it all over here to Tumblr, if I haven't already done enough damage as it is) Due to the way that he now is, he has a much higher tolerance for staying still doing nothing than he did before. Soaking up the sun has become a much more fulfilling activity, both physically and mentally

16: What makes their stomach turn? (Cindy)

You know when you go to the breakfast room at a hotel and the scrambled eggs are all dry, the bread's a little stale, the fruit feels noticeably old & they don't have any of the good kinds of cereal? Instant one star review. Shame upon thine entire franchise

21: Why do they get up in the morning? (Welshmen)

I thought this said HOW they get up in the morning at first so I was trying to formulate their entire get-up routine, but now that I see the question again... I think their reasons are all generally the same. To carry on living the lives they believe they ought to live, no matter what the universe keeps throwing at them

39: How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?

With what they tend to go through, they've got to keep their guards up more than the average person usually would. So any suspicious behavior and they kinda just book it (Clyde especially has to deal with a lot of weirdies, for lack of a better term)

40: How sensitive are they to their own flaws? (Demo Crew Manager)

He doesn't like to speak much, and when he does talk with people, it usually goes south. Negative friendship Sims icon type interactions. So he's kind of sensitive about how he approaches people and what he gets from conversations

33: Could they be considered lazy?

In the context of the situation they get thrust in, they're fighting for their fucking lives (whether they fail or succeed depends on the choices you make as a player!) But in their day-to-day lives they're all pretty average

30: Who do they most regret meeting? (Emile)

I think Emile kind of regrets meeting everyone except for the close friend group she ends up becoming a ghost with. I know she regrets meeting that one cop who stuck her in his car just before the "wrecking ball woopsy-daisy"

C) Did you have trouble figuring out where they fit in their own story?

Honestly I kind of never really knew what to do with Owen. He's kind of not really much of a character on his own, more of a prop to others than anything else... A static character, as they say. Ah well, some people just take the backseat when you've got an ensemble cast

J) Did you have to manipulate or exclude canon factors to allow them to create their character?

I've tried my absolute best to stay within the confines of the Flipverse when making my comic, even avoiding words like "Earth" and "God" because the planet they live on might be called something else & religion in the flipverse might not be like ours. That being said, I like to think there are certain constants that exist between both worlds. Really specific miscellaneous things, like the existence of Frank Sinatra and The Office

This was a fun little exercise! I know I took a fuckton of time to answer it, but I honestly wouldn't mind doing another one of these some other time. You'll probably wanna use a different list though, because now I'm closing the tab that had all the questions on it

Track 22: Koral Larrane, introduction

Synopsis: Victoria Shard was a former member of the popular idol group [ Poisoner ] from NRC corporations. After discourse with her group leader, Victoria decided it was best for her to leave and pursue her solo career in a record label run by her parents.

It had been half a year since her separation from her old group, and Victoria had never been more successful. But now she has a new problem. She must return to NRC corporations in order to mentor the seven idol groups.

Ellis Clawthorne is a member of [ (Co)-connect ] the most recent group under NRC'S belt. With no experience as an idol, Ellis must persevere in order to succeed and pursue her dreams.

Will both girls be able to adapt to their current situations?

Koral Larrane, otherwise known by her stage name "Ichigo(いちご)", is a well known 17 year old idol that's recently gained traction after her hit album "Strawberry kiss"

Koral started out as a child star who starred in numerous sitcoms for younger audiences that were similar to Disney channel sitcoms. She gained popularity for her cute characters and their characterization as "sweet and innocent".

As she grew older, Koral's fame as a child actor slowly faded. So her parents decided to turn her into an idol in their record label at the age of 15.

She was relatively popular, but once she turned 17, that was when her popular had risen despite the numerous scandals she's found herself in.

She contrasts Ellis with her aesthetic, but Ellis has a sense of maturity despite her fairytale aesthetic, whereas Koral's aesthetic barely seems to exute an ounce of maturity. Not even when she grew older

Most scandals about her regarded her being objectified and sexualized as a minor, which worsened because of her childlike aesthetic

Has an immense dislike towards Victoria after she (rightfully) criticized her choices as an idol

Doesn't care much for [ (Co)-connect ] and finds them incredibly irrelevant in NRC Corporations
