Being friends/the significant other of May or Deirdre is to have spells randomly cast upon you, whether conscious or not.
i.e. If you’re in an argument with Deirdre, she’ll make it rain on you and if May is excited, sometimes the person she’s talking to will sprout flowers in their hair.

Can you rec fics in which Gabriel isn't the main antagonist?
I mean there are plenty of fics where he isn't the main antagonist, where there's no antagonist at all (ML has a lot of fluff), but I'm assuming you mean fics where there IS a main antagonist but that antagonist isn't him, and probably a more epic sort of story with an antagonist on Gabriel's scale and not like, a high school bully kind of thing (not that there's a lot of those I'd rec anyway).

Stitched Together by @nedjsmlfavs
Stitch Witch Marinette was just supposed to be having a nice, terrifying outing with her best friends. She never expected to find a magically trapped kitten, but here we are! Whatever happened to this poor little guy?
Poor Adrien, being transformed and chained up for ages, having no idea that he was gonna be rescued. But at least he got to have fun at Marinette’s place as a cat!
Most of this fic is adorable, though with some dark undertones lying in wait. After all, SOMEONE chained up that poor little kitty…

In Direct Opposition by @generalluxun
Alya Cesaire is a brand new student to Francis Dupont, to Paris even. The first student she meets is one Chloé Bourgeois, and Alya is determined to make a friend. Things advance Chaotically. Her new 'friend' is definitely a handful, and suddenly Paris has a supervillain and two brand new superheroes! Alya finds herself balancing a lot of things, trying to live up to her ideals and those of her icons.
And then reality seems to contradict itself.
As time progresses it seems to happen more often. Becoming a hero, battling villains, staying alive, working through friendships. Something is lurking, tweaking events at times, changing them, and no one seems aware. Alya will need all her wits to get to the bottom of this. Her investigative mind can only get her so far though, and then she needs to rely on her friends. This is not a foe you can beat head on.
I betaed this entire fic, it’s really good! I adore the focus on Alya’s philosophy here, her determination to be a hero, to help people and defeat evil - and that defeating evil means trying to reform the people doing bad things when possible, to try to save EVERYONE, even the “villain”. I thought it was really clever the ways Alya would redirect Chloe and subtly encourage her to be a better person, while also trying to get the people around her to give her a second chance and keep an open mind.
Also Alya and Chloe are an adorable sapphic couple XD.

The Rules of Engagement by @overworkedunderwhelmed
When tragedy sends Adrien Agreste racing back to Paris to run his father’s fashion house, Marinette doesn’t expect much from her very new, very rich boss. At least not until she is set up on a blind date with a very familiar face.
Much to her surprise, Adrien Agreste was hiding far more secrets behind his stoic business-like mask of temporary CEO. Maybe as many secrets as she had been trying to hide for years.
As they grow closer, Marinette fears her mask isn’t nearly as foolproof. Day after day, it gets harder for her to keep all her secrets well hidden from the surprisingly sweet man who insisted on staying by her side as often as possible.
Only she couldn’t afford to fail. Not when her biggest secret could spell the end of the job she’d dreamed about for years.
They might not be superheroes in this universe, but secret identities are still active here. Both Marinette and Adrien used to be involved with the Ladybug and Chat Noir movies, and both kept that a secret - Adrien especially, since if his father found out about it, there could be some bad repercussions, as he voiced Chat Noir without Gabriel’s permission. Marinette, meanwhile, is well known for making cosplay (calling herself “Ladybug” after the movie), and has been in contact with “Chat Noir” for quite some time before the story starts - not that she knows he’s the actual VA.
It’s mostly an Adrienette fic with the two of them getting to know each other after their unusual “first” meeting, where Marinette pretended to be Kagami in order to scupper the date with Adrien and get Tomoe off her back, with some intrigue and drama thrown in. Lila’s skulking around causing problems for the people around her, but she’s honestly not the main focus here.

Kwami Magi Homura Magica by Crossoverpairinglover
After eighty-four loops in time, Homura Akemi takes a new path to Paris to save her friends.
The sixty-third loop after that, Homura arrived at the Agreste Mansion.
After clash after clash with the heroes of Paris and its greatest menace, events have reached a tipping point.
Ladybug faces someone verging on a second wish, a wish that endangers space and time to save a friend.
This was an absolutely AMAZING story that crossoverpairinglover dropped out of NOWHERE. Seriously, if you like Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Miraculous Ladybug, this is a real treat - but be prepared to sit down and binge, because it’s over 100,000 words and only has three chapters.
Anyway, I adore the care that’s taken with going through Homura’s mindset here, she gets a lot of character focus. And the lore! There’s some good explanations here for the history behind kwamis and Incubators’ interactions, and the Order of the Guardians normally treats Magical Girls, and why the Incubators are wrong in their assessment of the universe needing more energy to stave off entropy (hint: it involves Plagg), and just... there was a lot of love put into this.
And the action! Most Miraculous fics don’t have much in the way of fight scenes, and what they do have is mostly just functional. This is one of the rare exceptions. There’s some really long, detailed fight scenes in this (roughly the entire second half of the second chapter has one between Ladybug and Homura), which are a treat to read!
We also get some glimpses into a variety of other universes here, other timelines, alternate ways things could have gone down - I’m especially partial to the rather detailed view we get of one where Homura sent a message asking for help to the Ladyblog on her third time loop, and how things progressed from there.
The ending I also thought was really good, a happy ending that generally made sense and dealt with the issue of the Incubators.
If you can’t tell I’m really happy with this fic, it was incredible and unexpected. The length of the individual chapters can be daunting, but if you’re up for the task, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Dreams of You by @chocoluckchipz
Dreams had long been his only escape. Dreams of Ladybug, the girl who had always been there for him.
If only in his dreams. And only while she was also sleeping.
Because with the first rays of sunshine gliding over her skin, with the first fluttering of her eyelashes, from the moment she opened her eyes in the morning, memories of Adrien would vanish from her mind.
She would go on living her life.
He would always be the only one who remembered.
At least until they meet in the real world and fall in love all over again, something that would’ve been easier to do if Adrien wasn't a prisoner in his own home.
Chocoluckchipz has some of the most beautifully executed lovesquare fics I’ve read, and this is no exception. Most of the fic is dedicated to Adrien wooing Marinette, spending time with her, with her own dream self acting as his wingman, giving her tips on how to get her to fall for him, all the while frustrated that she can’t share memories with her waking self, and that she and Adrien can’t share as much information as they’d like while asleep, due to limitations of the “curse” that allows Adrien to share dreams with his soulmate.
It’s not all cute Adrienette fluff though. There’s a threat in the background waiting to erupt, as the weirdness of Gabriel’s ultimatum to Adrien about finding Ladybug or else being forced to marry Lila keeps on gnawing at him - and with good reason. This is a world with magic and kwamis still, and that fact makes itself very relevant in the last third of the story.
It’s a well-written tale and very much worth a read!

Just read both chapters of Double Toil and Trouble and ooooh, I am so loving it and I have so many thoughts!!!
First of all, I might sound like a broken record at this point but Naff! Naff, I swear. The way you can just adjust your narration to the whole genre of the story you are writing amazes me Every. Single. Time. Like, all the words seem so carefully selected not only to bring certain images to life, but also bring them in a very specific way. I just gahhhh I adore what you do with words! So much!! Like in this one it is solemn when it needs to be, the mundane feels calm and comforting, and the magical just creates amazement in the reader. The best way that I can describe it is that reading this feels similar to what watching a ghibli feels like. Absolute Chef Kiss!
And ahhhh, I'm just loving the story so much! You just get me every time with your kind protagonists, you know? All of them so unique and I immediately feel attached to them. The fact that in this case they have the desire to do good despite the fact that they would be justified in turning a blind eye to the suffering of the villages! They knew that they were risking their own life, knowing well that escape was just wishful thinking and they still chose the greater good!
Even when offered to take revenge against that hypocritical man that wanted them dead, what they did was give a punishment that still kept in mind the other villagers, so that he could not keep poisoning their minds further and keep spewing lies! Stopping Sun when he very much assumed they wpould like to take revenge by burning the whole village.
And oooh I have so many questions about Sun and Moon, most of which I imagine might be answered in the future, but I'll still leave my thoughts here!
So, Sun and Moon answered the call for help immediately, which makes me wonder if they had been paying close attention since the spell to cleanse the bread, just ready to jump to action. They were expecting to be called almost, though clearly the witch hadn't really considered such a thing until now.
Something that caught my attention is that when Eclipse (who I'm sure is the third demon despite not being named because well, he's tagged XD) tried to arrive is that Sun and Moon talk about him as someone they know of, so I wonder how much they have been competing to see who gets to y/n first. (Which by the way, if they had waited for Eclipse they'd be dead because he arrived a tad too late dlkhgflkñhd, good thing Sun and Moon arrived so fast).
I know y/n asked the same thing, but I also wonder what got them so enraptured by them! I wonder if it was the power they posses, or if they can feel the intentions of the person who cast certain spells. I wonder if they could get to know them and see beauty in them based on what they casted and that's what attracted them to y/n. And same goes for Eclipse! Why is he so insistent in getting to them, or wanting to form a covenant as well? In fact I have so many questiuons about him, but I guess that makes the protagonist relatable to me XD I wonder if any interaction with his true form makes it possible for him to track y/n down, like hearing their voice or them knowing what he looks like. If it would make it possible for him to snatch them right under the brothers' noses if he could get that much.
(Sidenote: As a funny thought, I just imagined Sun and Moon in their true forms this last chapter just chasing around Eclipse in his cat form with a broom trying to get him to leave XD)
But Eclipse aside I am loving the boys so much. It's natural that y/n despite accepting them so quickly, still has those smalls doubts about having formed a covenant with two demons so easily. It's new and being kept in the dark about certain things will shake anyone's confidence. But I love how reassuring they are. How they provide company for a very lonely witch. It was so cute how Sun was proudly displaying the ribbon and bell and how Moon wanted one immediately. I loved Sun praising y/n's powers while they were burning the crops (and may I add that at the start of that scene I was like oh it would be lovely if he made this into a dance, AND THEN HE DID kdfhgñfh) and how he saw the box that belonged to y/n's mother and treated it with such respect and the significance that that's where the ribbons came from, and I love Moon being so insistent about their well being and providing a hug when they admitted to not having experienced one for so long, and how he's upset at the mistreatment at the hands of the village. (another sidenote: your wave splashes against his shoreline is such a banger line I'm not over yet)
And oh gosh, I'm afraid if I make this any longer Tumblr will eat the ask fkdjhgsjfkh
But yes, I enjoyed it so very much! In conclusion, I wish I had demon kinda husbands that can turn into cat familiars too XD Amazing writing as always!!
This is me gobbling up this entire ask: NOM
AHHH CHATOAK YOU! YOU! *rattles you affectionately* You're so sweet, thank you, babe ;-;
Your questions are very good, hehe, but! I do believe they will get answered as the fic goes along, so I will just say I am looking directly at you ♥ I am also weeping—I'm so happy you like that line, I rewrote it several times until it felt right so I'm glad it's landing as intended!!
*smooch ya on the head* Thank you so much!!!

Hi, Tali! If you don't mind answering, what do you think of the Jewish Stilinski / Gajos Family headcanon? What about the headcanon of Stiles with ADHD and autism? Finally, do you have headcanons focused on Teen Wolf werewolf culture? For example, I find it interesting that, based on ravens and their symbiotic relationship with wolves, werewolves think of ravens as good luck charms or even allies. Perhaps, they will call someone particularly close to them who is not supernatural, their raven. I don't know. I find the apparent hatred, or reluctance, that the series portrayed for born werewolves rather sad. Thank you so much.
There's a lot of questions here, so i'll go through them one at a time!
Jewish Stilinski/Gajos Family headcanon: It's not one I personally follow; while i like to try and incorporate a little more polish culture with the Stilinski family, I don't really do religious aspects (and yes i know that you can be culturally jewish without being religiously jewish, but it's also not part of how I view him). But i do love the idea, and of course heavily support others bringing it to life for themselves! Admittedly, if I were to make anyone in tw jewish, I usually see Coach as jewish? I don't even know why? It's just permanently there in my brain. o.O But I think that there's a lot of depth you could go into making Stiles/the Stilinski/the Gajos family jewish, and so much that could be added to his character and his parents that way! ADHD & Autistic Stiles: I'm assuming you're specifically talking about him being ADHD AND Autistic, since the ADHD part is canon. And again, while it's not something I personally see/headcanon, I'm still very supportive of others hc'ing it. Autistic characters are rare, and well-written autistic characters even more so. Rep in general for Autistic people is abysmally hard to find if you're looking for canon rep, so I have no hardships with those who hc they're way into getting some. There's plenty of things/behaviors/ideas about Stiles that would support that hc, and people exploring that is awesome! I mean, honestly there's not really headcanons that I don't support, since they're headcanons and people can think whatever it is they wanna think. XD Whether or not I share those headcanons is a wildly different story. XD
Headcanons focused on TW werewolf culture/customs: I have SO MANY. The problem is that I have so many, and they're such integral parts of how I view things, that it's genuinely hard for me to identify what my hc's are, because they're basically canon to me. There's pack bonds being a real, magical thing with physical effects on wolves (this isn't canon, despite what cora says about losing pack members being like losing limbs, and what they say in s2 about packs with more wolves being literally stronger faster, etc. They never say a pack BOND is a thing). There's the Alpha Imperative to protect and care for the pack like essentially a parent, paralleling real life pack structures. That it's not about being dominant, it's about being a Guardian/Caretaker for the rest of the pack. That there's a reason why someone wouldn't WANT to be an Alpha, that there's some kind of downside to all that power, or at least a responsibility that some wouldn't be willing to deal with. The idea that werewolves can't use magic. that you can either be magic, or have magic, and since werewolves ARE magic, they can't control it, unless it's werewolf specific, like the stuff with their claws, etc. So a werewolf couldn't cast a spell, but a witch could. The idea that having control isn't about Not Shifting, it's about being able to CHOOSE whether you shift or not. A fully shifted werewolf isn't less in control than a non-shifted one. If a non-shifted wolf CAN"T shift? They have no control, just as a wolf who can't HELP shifting has no control. True Control is about being Balanced in your ability to choose which way you sway in the shift. And continuing on from that, there's the idea that Werewolves aren't half wolf, half human. They're ALL werewolf, and there's no inner wolf they're fighting for control with or humanity to cling to. There's just…Them. Bitten wolves have new urges that they might Personify as an inner wolf, but especially bitten wolves DONT have that, because why would they? Heightened senses/alternative forms of communication being a THING for werewolves. They go off scent, sure, but also they speak with Body language and read emotions in your stance. That Derek and the Hales might not actually be so damn succinct and non-communicative as everyone assumes, and maybe they're just speaking a different language? Shifting as a general form of communication and behavior. The same as smiling or glaring, having eye flashes and showing fang being a Part of how they talk. It's not necessarily intimidation tactics, it's just…another form of squinting their eyes or winking or whatever other facial expressions humans use? They just have more options bc they have more facial features to work with. Full moons being a sort of….not holiday, but a Custom to werewolves. It's not just a horrific night of torture and pain. It's a night when wolves feel powerful and full of energy and magic and whether they have full moon runs or bonfire nights or parties, or even just mandatory pack nights, having the full moon mean something other than agony. Having a CONNECTION to the moon! Whether they see it as a deity or in general have a cultural respect for nature as a whole or just Feeling something standing in the moonlight, full moon or not. This thing that's so huge to them, having some other effects/meaning something to them!
There's loads more, but i also like your idea about ravens and connections to wolves! I actually have a wip that talks a lot about that concept ^_^ And you're right, it was really sad and disappointing that a show that was supposed to be about werewolves, treated them like the enemy and every glimpse we got into their culture just revealed more violence and hatred and viciousness and just....2 dimensional animalistic propaganda bullshit. Half the stories we heard about werewolves came from hunters! Also, apologies that this response keeps getting longer, tumblr wasn't letting me fucking post the reply bc i guess it was too long?

Assuming that Evelyn doesn't have a secret OC sister that you've never told us about, I'm laughing about at the idea of Luz being the "secret mystery guest" of the Convention episode.
I mean, who else works so perfectly for that role?!
Estranged family member? Check. Powerful magical user? Check. Would totally be down for a Witches Duel in front of a live audience? Check!
I know that Witch Switch isn't a 10/10 perfect-match-for-everything-in-canon AU, but please don't skip Convention. I know that it's not exactly the most beloved episode, but it is fairly important from a world-building prospective... XD Plus you can totally add more comedy to it by having Luz and all of her Coven Heads be there.
[You know that Luz is the type of tyrant who would absolutely insist that her highest-ranked officials do meet-and-greets with the public. Every single year. Imao.]
Right now, the episodes on my outline list says "Covention equivalent." I do want something with that sort of world building, and since Odalia and Darius are sharing canon Amity's character beats, I can't really afford to cut out Amity-heavy episodes. It's definitely not going to be a perfect match, especially since covens aren't as huge of a deal in this universe, but I do have. Some sort of plan for including something like covention. And like, once again, Evelyn's a 20 something year old operating in a world where most of the other major players have twice her age and experience, so some stuff is just. Harder to do with her. I don't know if she'd put up as impressive a display in a fight versus a coven head as Eda vs Lilith at this point in the story, especially if she doesn't have personal beef to fuel her the way Eda did.

The og. The one we both die for. Rivusa
Also soundwave and Bloom/Musa! (Idk their ship name jamsnakja. And yes these are all musa. I am unabashed about my love for Musa!)
Also i know you did not ask for this but,,,, Helia/Musa platonic soulmates??? Pls they are both my babies and Helia is her no. 1 bestie after Aisha
HAVE FUN BABESSS
I like to call them "dragonsong"!!!!
Tumblr media
I'm trying to come up with a time that Musa and Bloom hung out together or had a real moment together and I'm coming up utterly blank, despite being in the same friend group and both of them getting a good amount of screen time, they don't talk to each other that much XD
I really never have considered this couple because they both have impossibly strong personalities and a tendency to lash out in Musa's case and get really offended in Bloom's case, not to mention they both (most Musa) refuse to communicate and have horrible insecurity issues
This ship is asking for so many misunderstandings
That isn't a real fault, I love slow burn as much as the next person but imagining the disaster that would be early season interaction is fucking sending me because you know Bloom would make a comment equally as dumb as "it looks warm" Musa would be equally as upset but Bloom would take it way more personally
They are also stupidly awkward when in love and blushy and I refuse to believe they can hold an actual coherent conversation for at least half a season when they realize they both like each other
It would be a goddamn mess is what I'm saying but it would definitely be a fun and vibrant environment for the both of them so not something I'm super into but I won't shy away from either
Hmmm I need to think more about platonic besties between the Winx and specialists bc all I know is Riven Flora besties
Tumblr media
Helia and Musa get along with Riven for very different reasons and I think Musa's refusal to communicate combined with her tendency to assume what people are thinking combined with the fact that Helia is usually extremely quiet would end hilariously, but that's s1 till mid s2 Musa and Helia doesn't start really hanging around till s3 so that would never be a real problem it would just be funny
I can definitely see them vibing over song lyrics and poetry together and helping each other write, not to mention I like to imagine Helia is a witch in my version and insight into how different magic works would probably be super interesting for the both of them
I feel like instead of being more bombastic friends they'd be more "casually texts every day" friends. Like that one friend you always update on your life and gives you (loving) shit for your stupid ass decisions
They probably met via Riven and immediately hit it off when the ganged up on teasing him and decided to text each other jokes and it went from there
WILL be thinking about this more in the future

I can't believe I'm finally done! I had a blast making this video, it's been my baby for ages. It's my take on a more darkish continuation of canon. Mind the TW in the video description! This video gets a lot darker than its canon basis.
Here's a thorough explanation of everything in the vid (also TW for attempted suicide):
So! Basically, I kept canon the same here, except for a couple of things. Merlin doesn't age physically (unlike what we see in the show's ending) and Kilgharrah gets replaced with a GoT dragon xd (what can I say the VFX are much cooler). Whenever you see bearded merlin though, that's an older post-Arthur merlin. And the video jumps back and forward a bit.
It starts with an older post-Camelot Merlin (00:05) (during the witch burnings), and then there's a clip that's supposed to be earlier on when Gwen is still alive and queen (00:15) (after Arthur's death though). It's a battle/invasion that I'll leave open for interpretation because I didn't think through it a lot xd, but it can't be in Camelot (the city) itself obviously, because of the sea. I'm thinking they went to a coastal fortress to defend themselves against the invading Saxons.
Then we have more battles (00:23) (I'm thinking the one in season 4, where Merlin calls on Kilgharrah, since he's supposed to die in season 5).
Then we have some visuals for the great purge (00:33).
I leant on a couple of fan theories: that Merlin is magic itself made flesh and blood, and that his birth was a direct result of the great purge (that is to say, because such a great amount of magic was snuffed out suddenly, it concentrated and poured itself into merlin -- basically balance, and magic being this immutable force that can't be created or destroyed, only transformed and passed on).
Then we get to see Merlin through the ages, until the present day (01:10), struggling with his immortality. There's a callback to Camelot and the witch hunts (01:25), and then we get Camlann! Where he called on Kilgarrah this time! (01:36) It is intercut with a later post-canon scene, where Guinevere has been captured by some warlord or another at some point (01:45). Leon goes to Merlin for help and rescues her (this is not long after Arthur's death, which is why Merlin still looks like he does in canon).
At (01:56) we get Camlann again.
Then we have Merlin losing Gwen and Leon to the years (02:01), and we see the impact of being alone throughout eternity on his psyche. We get some nightmares (02:19), mostly centred on Arthur (because they'd absolutely be -- #merthurforlife).
There's Merlin talking down some soldiers going after him during the witch hunts (02:36). In (02:43) we see Merlin in Avalon lake (now I'll be honest here, my intention wasn't to put Merlin on the isle, since I'm not sure if it's even supposed to be accessible xd but I couldn't find a way to put him on the other margin, so let's just assume all is well xd).
We get Merlin in present-day (02:44), still chasing breadcrumbs (and maybe even starting to doubt his sanity a little bit? -- see "Was King Arthur a real person?").
And then,,,, the attempted suicides (02:49). Because you can't tell me a person with Merlin's behemoth amount of trauma wouldn't develop a major depression after lifetimes of waiting around alone -- not even knowing quite what he's waiting for or if it'll ever happen). Aaaaaaand (03:06) Merlin has maybe lost it a little bit. I think he tries to venture into necromancy and some,,,, not-great stuff (magic-wise).
But we catch a glimpse of Arthur at (03:19) so either it worked or... well, you decide.
Also at (03:11), we have a painting of Gwen in the background of Buckingham palace. It was commissioned by Merlin sometime during the renaissance period (does not mean that the painting itself is renaissance style). He made sure it found its way into the royal treasuries and it is displayed to this day, so it would probably have been the work of a famous artist. (In reality, it is a very beautiful portrait by Thérèse Schwartze that I have edited to feature Angel Coulby).

Hello! 💙 10,12,15 and 33? (if you want to and feel comfortable sharing, obviously) ✨
Hello there! 💜
Yeah, not entering much into details in public and outing myself as "Boring queer" but...
(also don't know how much this will be new for you but oh well you know where to find me xD)
10. Something that gives you gender euphoria (whether you’re cis or trans):
Boringly cis, here… Not very girly or gender euphoric, but. Dressing up and putting up a good outfit, colours matching. SWIRLY SKIRTS, particularly if they have pockets. (I own one skirt I LOVE, it's big and swirly and it has pockets, I'm considering a petticoat to make it poofy and going full '50s new look style. It gives me lots of casual Cinderella vibes and oh man. IT HAS POCKETS. BIG ONES THAT FIT A CELLPHONE.)
12. Name some queer artists/bands or songs you like most:
*after the necessary "I haven't ever listened to music once in my life no thoughts head empty" moment*
QUEEN. I have one Freddie Mercury in every space I inhabit. I have two in my bedroom, one is hanging in my studio right in front of my desk. Queen had been a big and important part of my teen years. I am not a person who cries at movies/music, but put on The Show Must Go On or press play on Bohemian Rhapsody (the movie; i know it has flaws and it's dramatised but still) and watch me crumble. My favourite song of them tho… I can't choose one. Fat Bottomed Girl? But shit, Innuendo is just… A mindblown. I always clean my house with I Want to Break Free blasting on because I'm a basic bitch and that's mandatory.
David Bowie came into my life later but in stride, he's equally important, he's been the one celebrity death I felt like a blow (still can't listen to his last album without crying). Rebel Rebel is a favourite of mine but out of personal affection, the soundtrack of Labyrinth is the closest to my heart (that whole movie).
Janis Joplin. And with her my big favourite is Me and Bobby McGee (Freedom is just another word for nothin' left to lose 🎶*sings*)
I just discovered that Florence Welch is apparently bi too, so FLORENCE + THE MACHINE. The list of favourites is long but… Which Witch? Queen of Peace? Free? Morning Elvis? Can't choose, ARGH.
… I have the music taste of an old man, yes. Also I have the bad tendency in not getting much informations over artists if I'm not EXTREMELY hyperfixated, and it's a little since the last time I was hyperfixated with a band. It may be that other artists I regularly listen to are queer but I don't know. Again, I discovered Florence is queer writing this answer, oops.
15. How has your identity changed over time?
I had not many close contacts with the community until university, so I just assumed I was straight and never really thought about it much. Being demi ultimately didn't help me put two and two together any sooner, and without the proper terms and words… It was all very misty. So:
Straight > … People shipping me with a friend who is a girl don't bother me. Maybe… > No no, straight. Uh-uh. Just an ally. > Maybe bi-romantic, yeah, that maybe fits if I'm not having impostor syndrome, I won't tell anyone tho, I'm not sure. > "Hi friend of a friend who's very evidently flirting with me, WHY. You don't even know me. You have everything I should like but… WHY. This is overreacting, I'm sure you're getting something wrong it's too soon. Nobody is that much into someone else so soon in real life, this is fake and you're mocking me, right?" > … let me check the ace spectrum… > Demisexual. > Bi-romantic I said? No no Bisexual, definitely, still with a foot in the ace spectrum but oh shit why the girls I befriended and developed crushes on are all straight WHY.
(in all this I know that there are many people I know IRL that realised before I did. Hi, hello, I hope it was amusing to watch. x°D)
33. What about your LGBT identity do you feel proud of/ want to recognize/celebrate?
For my mental health, but also for the one of many other people: Being a valid queer person even if unable to go to Pride (they're a huge trigger for me, I'll start panicking before walking), or out with everyone or with relationship to prove it.
And the bisexual inability to sit down straight and composed without our joints falling off. That's a superpower we should be proud of. u_u
Jokes aside, I think there's some poetry in saying "I like people for being people, gender is secondary", and as much biphobia there is around… It's a good message to give.

I want to write something in response to a comment I got on Vanity, Thy Name is Leo, but I don’t wanna publish it yet cause there’s spoilers for what I intend to do with the story, so this is a scheduled post. I want so badly to respond but responding would ruin the surprises I have in store for this fic, that I’m assuming is now complete as of the posting of this post. I hope it’s complete, it’ll be about 3 months before this post is published xD
This is not a call to witch hunt this person, in fact I'm glad they left this comment cause it made me really deep dive into the motivations for why the characters in VTNiL act the way they do and it was honestly a really nice comment overall. The comment was, and I'm paraphrasing heavily here, "I wonder why Leo is so vain in your story when, in canon, he's really not."
To answer this question, I'm gonna go into the features of First Person Perspective. Stick with me here, I have my reasons and it’ll make sense soon.
First Person is a way of writing a story where you’re basically in someone's head for the duration of the story, chapter, etc. You see what they see, you experience what they experience, and the only information you have is the information that that character has. This is important.
The pros of this are that you know exactly what the character is thinking and the view you get of the story is very personal. It makes it easy to feel an emotional attachment to the story because the character is invested in their own life for obvious reasons.
The cons are that you only know what that character knows. If that character has a bias or preconceived notion about something or someone, or if they don’t have all the facts, which they almost never do, you will experience that bias, that lack of information, and maybe assume that you have all of the facts when you really don’t.
Fan fiction is mainly written in 3rd person in my experience, as someone who’s been reading fan fiction for fifteen years and reads thousands of words almost every day. We’re very used to getting a holistic view of the plot, which has its perks, but we don’t get that in 1st so you may not realize that a character is an unreliable narrator until the perspective shifts to a very different one.
Why is this important? Well, let's look at how VTNiL starts. The opening line is "Leon is the most vain person I know." This is true. Donnie doesn’t have a lot of friends, so Leo, from Donnie's perspective, with his love of things relating to self expression and self care, is actually be extremely vain in Donnie's opinion.
But here's the thing. The first line of the story, the entire first chapter even, is dripping in a distorted perspective of Leo's character. Leo looks vain in comparison to what Donnie values because Donnie doesn’t care about his appearance all that much.
If we were going to look at this from a holistic POV, here are the facts:
- Leo does care about his appearance, but he only takes like 30-45 mins to get ready, not the hours that Donnie says, not because Donnie's lying, but because Donnie is Leo's brother and he's bound to find Leo doing something that he doesn’t see much value in as frustrating and time consuming, especially when it stops them from doing what he needs to do to get ready for school, something Donnie cares very much about. It's an exaggeration based off of frustration, something that people do all of the time.
- Leo also hasn’t filled the entire bathroom full of cosmetics. He has a few items that he needs and likes, but Donnie sees it as a lot because he doesn’t care for this type of thing.
- Lastly, Leo caring about his appearance isn’t rooted in self love or a feeling that he’s more attractive than others, it’s rooted in his lack of self worth. Leo only gets praise and attention for his looks. He’s intelligent, but when you sit him next to Donnie, they outshine him. He’s strong, but Raph is a hulk of a dude so in comparison, he looks like a twig. He’s creative, but Mikey is the artist of the family. Leo’s charismatic and attractive and people flock to him because of this, but his appearance isn’t something he necessarily worked for, in his opinion. It’s not a talent, it’s just his face. Never mind that it does take talent to put together outfits and makeup that look cohesive, that styling his hair to look so nice is an actual skill that he needed to learn, compared to his siblings, he feels over shadowed.
So to answer the question posed by my lovely reader, why does this version of Leo obsess over his appearance when in canon he doesn't? The answer is that he isn’t obsessed with his appearance. He’s obsessed with other people’s opinion of him and that’s intrinsically tied to his appearance in this AU, but if his intelligence was the thing getting him attention, he would put a lot of effort into studying because this boy is starved for affection. Splinter isn’t the best father, he’s not gonna show up a whole lot in this story from what I remember of my outline, and his absence is a statement in and of itself. Splinter is not there for his sons emotional well being. Raph is basically the parent of his siblings, but he’s only a year or two older than Leo. He’s not gonna get everything right and the emotional neglect a child experiences from early on in life is hard to heal. If someone is starved for affection the way these boys are in this au, they’re gonna do what they need to do to get it. Raph becomes protective of his siblings, Mikey finds friends at school through his love of art, and Donnie has online friends that he spends time with but Donnie also tends to be avoidant of people. Leo went the opposite way and let everyone’s opinion of him affect his self worth and that’s not healthy.
Going back to the point I was trying to make, I felt like it was important to overemphasis how much Leo works on his appearance because when Leo doesn’t spend as much time on his appearance as usual, Donnie notices and that is the important part. Donnie doesn’t see their brother as someone that is starved for affection, he sees his brother as a sort of peacock. Very showy, loud, and colorful. Attention grabbing, not attention seeking. They have a very surface level understanding of Leo’s motivations.
The important part of that chapter was that this is the moment that Donnie, a person who by all accounts is not great at understanding people and emotions, someone who also doesn’t understand Leo as a person because their view points of the world are so different, notices that Leo is acting different. Leo’s been acting different for months at this point, but this is the point where the least likely person to noticed does take notice. That is what I want the focus to be on, because Leo as a character is not very open about how he truly feels. He hides behind his different masks, deflects constantly, and never seems to take anything seriously and if you catch a glimpse of genuine emotion, it’s either because he did it on purpose or because his mask is slipping. You as the reader didn’t have enough information yet because this was only the first chapter and you’ve only read Donnie’s perspective as of the writing of this post.
By all accounts, the assumption most readers will probably make is that I as a writer don’t understand Leo as a character, not that I’m distorting Donnie’s perspective. To be completely fair, the former is the more likely option than the latter so I understand the natural inclination.
By the way, the title of the story is also a cheeky little joke. It’s titled like that because it’s the first thing the reader is told about Leo and the first thing I told you about Leo is a statement that is fundamentally incorrect about his character. It’s a trait that’s important to his character in this AU that will be explored as I continue to write the story, but it’s exaggerated and biased. This story is a lesson in realizing that we don’t always know what’s going on in other people’s lives and our view of those around us is fundamentally imperfect and biased, even when it’s someone that we should, by all accounts, be very close to. It’s something I, as an actual person in real life, have had to learn the hard way and it’s something I try to remind myself of frequently.
This isn’t to say that the commenter is dumb for not noticing these very small details and coming to the intended conclusion, btw. I could tell that they were already questioning what was happening in the story and it made me so excited to see someone contemplating what I intended to happen! It shows an investment in something that I created and I think that’s absolutely fantastic.
We as fan fiction readers and writers are used to overloading and being overloaded by entirely too many details, which I’m not knocking. I love highly detailed stories, I eat that shit up, but when a story doesn’t do that, it’s hard for us to realize how much depth is intended with the details that we do get, especially when it’s only around 1,000 words at first. A fan fic reader may be reading upwards of 30k words a night, if they’re anything like me at least, and 1,100 words is a tiny amount to try to read into when I haven’t given ya’ll a whole lot to work with. That being said, just about everything I include has a purpose. Raph noticing that April’s at a restaurant in chapter two, for example, is a subtle way of hinting that Leo probably isn’t with her and that she’s busy with her family so she can’t help them look for Leo right now. It’s a way of telling you that information without actually telling you.
So to end this off, thank you for the comment @obsessingoverthisandthat. It was the first comment I got on VTNiL and while I absolutely adore reading all of the other comments, this particular one had me sitting for hours thinking about this question and fundamentally changed the direction I decided to take this story.

I know this probably seems odd and random but - assuming you read fanfic - what's an area you think hasn't been explored properly, in canon/near-canon/could-be-canon (books)? what would you like to see done that isn't done enough?
(full disclosure: I'm looking for ideas for my next fic xD so I went to see if I can find somebody who has interesting takes, read like one of your posts and went THIS PERSON. THIS PERSON LOOKS INTERESTING.)
Going anon mainly because I like to keep my tumblr separate from my fanfic :)
hope you have a lovely day and that you're not too bothered by this annoying random ask....
ahhhh my first anon, hello hello :D
i do read fanfiction, lots of it, in fact! not to mention i've been a writer for many fandoms as well so i'm familiar with both worlds, thankfully.
as for areas that i would like explored, hm... it really depends on what kind of fanfiction you're writing and where you want it to go. i'll add some stuff that encompasses the book/disney film versions (as those are the only ones i'm familiar with, sorry bbc) i haven't seen as of yet:
the golden age? or the gilded age? (plot intensive) running a kingdom since childhood has its ups and downs and it's nowhere near as golden as narnians make it seem. what i would like to see is the pevensies dealing with the ramifications of what they set up as a government right after they were newly coronated. the court, who they trusted growing up, turns slowly corrupt until there's no one but their original friends (tumnus, oreius, and the beavers) who they can count on. cue assassination attempts, angry mobs of narnians with pitchforks and lit torches, the whole drama! how will the pevensies react? i'd even throw in international opposition for a little bit of Spice™, but that's just me. if you find that you prefer no resistance from outsiders, imagine inner circle nobles showing their true colors and admitting there were no regents appointed for the pevensies because they expected the siblings to mess up so badly to the point someone new would ultimately assume the throne right afterwards. power struggle, baby!
undercover shenanigans (fluff) if you prefer something a little more lighthearted, choose a monarch of your liking and have them go undercover as a civilian and write an adventure for them. will the king/queen be able to pass through town undetected? why did they go undercover in the first place? are they treated the same as any common civilian would be? how do they react? do they run into someone special? is there something that gives away their identity? when this happens, is it to the wide public, or to one individual?
of visions and secrets (angst; reflective) susan was shown to be the only one who wanted to return to narnia rather than chase out the white stag or go past the lamp post in the books; wouldn't it be strange yet interesting if she had a dream of the same sort years ago? you can even build upon this — maybe she had the gift of foresight that followed her back into earth. the catch? she never let anyone know, even her siblings, for it haunted her. maybe she knew that one day she wouldn't be allowed back into narnia, maybe she knew that one day the rest of her family wouldn't be either, and when they try, they'll go past the point of no return. that would explain why she tried her best to regard it as a children's game, to protect herself and the others.
tropes (free for all) modern day au where the pevensies are born around the 21st century rather than the 20th, reverse au where a narnia friend (cough cough cough caspian cough cough cough) accidentally enters the pevensie's world and the siblings have to hide/assimilate the individual to avoid suspicion and panic, detective/spies au where every friend of narnia are somehow related to the private investigating profession and aslan assigns them to uncover jadis "the white witch" charn's crime syndicate and maybe miraz is a mob boss working for her (can you tell i'm freestyling at this point)
i hope this helps give you ideas for your new fanfic! best of luck :)

This AU but reversed. Genos is the prince and Saitama is his personal guard because he's the strongest knight of the whole kingdom. That allows them to spend a lot of time together and get to know each other more. They eventually fall in love but they gotta keep it secret and act all serious and formal when they're in public (though they make up for it when Saitama visits Genos' chamber every once in a while). One good day Genos is suddenly engaged to the princess Fubuki. The best solution? Run away together.
While they're on the run Saitama trains Genos and they wander around fighting bad guys and saving people. Genos is living the time of his life because he's finally free to do as he pleases, and with the love of his life too.
As for the conflict, there are lots of possibilities. Maybe Saitama is accused of taking Genos away and becomes a wanted man. Or Fubuki feels insulted and is pissed the hell off so she allies with powerful enemies to take over Genos' kingdom.
(Or monsters start pooping out of nowhere and becomes Medieval One Punch Man XD)
That's a whole new au, my guy. I like it.
However, may I propose: Fubuki helps them run away cuz she has her own girlfriend to be with, and Kuseno (I assume he's the king and Genos' biological parents are dead) is aware of why they ran off.
Because Kuseno (again, assuming he was king) would never just. Arrange a marriage for Genos unless he had to. Which leaves me to think about Fubuki's kingdom being the one to pressure him to agreeing. Essentially: "you marry our daughter to your son, there won't be any problems between us". Of course, Genos protests when Kuseno tells him the situation. He let's his relationship with Saitama slip, but of course, Kuseno doesn't mind it. But that doesn't change the risks of denying the arranged marriage.
Saitama, when he's told about the situation, comes up with a plan.
They agree to the marriage, let the days tick by until the wedding comes, then he steals Genos away and they run. It gives Fubuki's kingdom the impression that Kuseno fully agreed to the marriage and some scoundrel decided to fuck both kingdoms over.
Of course, Kuseno worries that they'll be hunted for the rest of their lives, but Saitama doesn't give a fuck and Genos would follow Saitama to the ends of the universe. So he reluctantly agrees with their plan.
The execution goes off smoothly. The wedding day comes after weeks of meticulous planning, discussing, and packing. Saitama comes in and grabs Genos (literally. Picks him up and slings him over his shoulder), and flees before anyone has the chance to attack him or stop him. Fubuki's father and mother immediately call for a hunt on Saitama, the kingdoms errupt into chaos and a flurry of rumors and drama in the following weeks—months even. On their wedding day, Kuseno even pulls Fubuki aside to explain to her what happened, and Fubuki is, to his surpise, unbearably relieved, and tells him she had her own woman.
So. All went pretty well.
Following their escape, there's a wholeass conspiracy about what Saitama had done to Genos. Some think he killed the prince, some think he kidnapped him. There's even rumors that he got a wizard/witch to brainwash him into fleeing the kingdom with him. But, of course, that's not true, and Saitama and Genos are, in actuality, exploring the world—something Saitama has always wanted to do and Genos has always wanted to do with Saitama. They battle monsters along their journeys, sometimes people seeking a reward for taking Saitama in and returning the prince home. All the while, they bask in their free relationship—holding hands, kissing, making love and sleeping side-by-side between the training and running and fighting. They even spare some time to send letters back to Kuseno now and then.
Hell, maybe overtime, the story of the runaway prince and his knight become more of a legend or myth than an actual story. Like tales about midnight phantoms and such. No one seeing them ever again, or something along those lines.
And Saitama and Genos are happy.

Hi!! Coming to your asks like I threatened to talk about the one frog king movie I enjoyed!
It is the German 2008 Version with Sidonie von Krosigk. You can find it here for reference & in case you want to watch it. (you might need a vpn if you're not in Germany but then it should be free I think? Also, I am just assuming now that I remember correctly and you speak German?)
Bear in mind, the last time I saw it is like 10-15 years ago so my memory is definitely faulty. But I remember I liked a number of things a lot:
There were Sidonie von Krosigk and Marie Luise Stahl and I found that very exciting because I am a child of the 90s and love witches and was accordingly into the Bibi Blocksberg movies that they appeared in (mostly the second one that involved maths tbh)
It's less about the princess and more about a whole friend group of nobles living at the castle and I remember them being precious together
They have that amazing thing (like really WHAT happened there?) that one of the princes only speaks in acronyms. Even when he proposes, I think. 'PS' f.ex. is how he adresses 'Princess Sophie', the main character. Flawless decision making in the writers department - this is the kind of stuff I will still remember in 20 more years. Also, I mean, it was definitely because he was the super rich and powerful prince, but everyone in the friend group accommodated for him, translating for him and making his speech pattern work. So A+ for solidarity there
The princess is - as far as I remember - very aro coded and her relationship to the prince is rather platonic, more like "two people with the same interest (=travelling) have found each other". Maybe I am making this up in my mind to make the movie appeal more to myself but that's how I remember it. Didn't feel much like a marriage in the end and more like, so, we're besties now, goodbye friends, we're off to see Spain! Like, still risky from his perspective to choose HER as a travelling buddy but at least it's not like she can throw him against the wall anymore, human as he is. And she gets to have more personality than 'spoiled' in this tale. So it makes a little more sense for them to go away together.
And I mostly wanted to ask whether you know the movie because of that shared interest being travelling. That is kinda similar to what happens in your story. Not the same motives but the result stays the same, the couple goes off to travel with their servant(s). So I was just wondering.
Anyway the number of frog king related things I enjoy went up to 2 yesterday and I'm very happy for it :)
(That said, I have never watched the Disney version and I feel like I might like it? But I also feel like it has little to do with the original.
...aaand I just remembered there are actually 3 frog king things I enjoy bc there is also a children's book about an unhappy prince and a frog is like 'I'm an enchanted princess, kiss me and you'll be happy and a king and we will have a thousand riches.' So he does and turns into a frog and they are happy together and rule the kingdom of the pond and have a thousand little frog kids together who are their greatest treasures. I liked that one, too. The art was gorgeous.)
Also I feel like I might just get my sister to rewatch the movie with me now. Very risky to do that with things you remember fondly from childhood (also I already remember the animation of the frog to have been terrible so there's that) but it might be fun? And I kinda wanna know how faulty my memory actually is.
Sorry, this is a lot of rambling now but maybe you enjoyed it? It all came up bc of your fic at least :)
I hope you'll have a good day today <3
First of all, hiii :D
I do actually know that one, I think I've watched it when I was younger! (I'm Austrian, so yes, I know German XD) I might have to rewatch it then!
The Disney one is quite nice! I haven't watched it in ages but I think it was one of the Disney films I enjoyed most.
Glad to have provided something happy for you to read!! (shameless self promo but if you enjoy Fairytale retellings - vague and closer to the original - I have one that's vaguely Beauty & the Beast inspired, and one that has a curse and mermaids XD Technically I have a plot for a Sleeping Beauty one but due to hhhhh work I haven't been able to finish any other fics to have time to write that yet. Herm, lots of fic ideas, there's also one with a Minotaur and the labyrinth :P) Tush, enough self promo! I'm glad you enjoyed my fic!
I realised btw that you're the Mels Zucker/Doctor Jones fic that popped up on my Tumblr a few times, and I'm so intrigued by it. I hope to be able to pick up reading it soon👀
Wonderful day to you too!

Why are you shipping an abuse victim with his abuser that sent him to the worst, most drawn out and gruesome death in the Danganronpa series? Literally WHY? It’s like some people in the Witch’s House fandom shipping Viola and Ellen, you know, the person who exploited Viola’s trust and kindness only to betray her in the worst way possible
Except Ellen HAD TO drive Viola to despair to ensure that she dies and wouldn’t try to come and take her body back in the future (witches in the witch’s house universe can only die when they completely lose their will to live) while Kokichi had a million ways to avoid dying to Miu without driving someone to homicidal despair and making them kill her. And I don't know where did you get the idea that Gonta and Kokichi were in any way friends, Gokuhara didn’t even trust Kokichi because of how he tricked him into gathering everyone in chapter 2 by saying that they didn’t like bugs.
And Gonta asked everyone to forgive Kokichi before he was executed because he has serious problems with being angry at people, even when they did everything to deserve it. One of Gonta’s flaws was that he had too much empathy and compassion in him, even to the people that absolutely didn’t deserve any compassion or sympathy (like Kokichi).
It wouldn’t be that big of a stretch to assume that part of the reason behind Gonta’s declining mental state was because HE WAS BEING ABUSED, with Kokichi messing with his perception of reality and already fragile sense of self-worth, making sure to make Gonta feel even more useless that he already felt, leaving him as nothing but an empty shell. By Chapter 4 Gonta was feeling that he is useless by nature, that there was nothing to do about this, BECAUSE HE WAS BEING EMOTIONALLY ABUSED by Kokichi, who did this in order to make Gonta desperate enough to be willing to do anything in order to make himself useful. Because he has planned to drive Gonta to murder since the start.
And surprise, I actually believe that Gonta isn’t an innocent child that can’t think for himself. He isn’t a moron in the slightest, despite what he might believe. BUT. He still was a victim of abuse, and this shouldn’t be glossed over, like you Kokichi fans do.
girl this is the funniest thing i've seen all day. aint giving u a direct answer bc if you've been snooping my blog you'll def find my reasons that i've fleshed out on and discussed with near obsessively. saving this on my blog to have something to smile at when i get bored XD

Dear Charlie,
It is I again ... :)
Well, I actually forgot about the existence of this blog, it has been ... 5 years? Is that possible? That sounds like a lot, it's scary how much of my life has already passed.
I am yet again depressed and disassociated. This time I also packed an eating disorder with me, so it's not all the same boring routine... Splendor at it's finest.
A year and a half ago or so I started university and honestly, I hate university. I have very few friends there and one of them forgot about me the second she got better so I decided to cut her off, to not feel the shame of being used. The other one is also quite mentally ill to be honest and she also suffers from an ed, which makes it hard for me to interact with her as someone trying her best to recover. I recently had a lapse (or relapse? I can never understand what's more appropriate and calling it relapse just feels like I am bragging for attetion) and when I decided I'd stop it and try to recover again, I had to bring the time I spend interacting with her to a minimum. Maybe some people will call me selfish, but do I care? If you were in my shoes, you'd talk differently. People's hate is just the cost of making your own decisions about life it seems.
On another note, I am going to therapy, yay. I also went to this ed treatment center when things got bad with eating and I am still going there in secret from my family.
Now that I mentioned therapy, there is one thing I really want to write here. It happened almost a year ago already, but it honestly still haunts me. Maybe I am too dramatic idk, people have it way worse...but this is MY note so I can write whatever I want right... xd
Well, when I became anorexic about 2 years ago, I sought out a therapist. She was recommended to me by my friend I mentioned above with whom I no longer interact. It was an old woman, 60+, very short, but this person had something so unsettling about her, Charlie, that you entered the room she'd sit in with a feeling of being somehow tried by a figure of immense evil. I felt something was strange about her quite early on, but this lady charged very little for her services and I am a poor student, so I didn't want to give it up... Until one time. She'd often make weird remarks about how pretty I am, asked me who had green eyes, if my mom or dad, I believe it was already on the first or second session... I felt weird, but decided to overlook it. She then later on kept mentioning another client of hers, telling me that I could meet him and talk to him as we both have a history of living with a very manipulative grandfather. I assumed she meant calling him to one of our sessions and having this weird group therapy. Well, I was wrong. One day she asked me if I've ever had a boyfriend - I haven't yet, so I told her no. She acted as if this was a problem - what a total c*nt tbh :^) - but anyway, she then later in the session mentioned him again and kept saying that he is old, way older than me. I felt weird, so I asked how old? And she replied: "Quite old." ??? red flags, I know, but well, I made her tell me he was 34 or so. I don't exactly remember. Well, she said again that we have to meet up, me and him. I was like mhm she probably means some different time. No. At the end of our sessions someome rang her bell and she replied: "*his name*, come in" I was scared, even though still trying to convince myself that nothing is wrong. Well, I wanted to leave, but the witch literally stood in front of the door and wouldn't let me. The man appeared at the doorstep. She told him he should take me for a ride somewhere in his car at the weekend and asked him if he had time - he said well yes. Then she asked me if I wanted to go and I felt so scared by that time - but I managed to say I'll think about it. Well, after this happened, I was mortified and I ended up ending everything with her.
This scared me so much, Charlie. I don't tell people about it anymore, but sometimes I see an old woman outside who faintly resembles her and get a shiver of dread up my spine. Sometimes the memories of her just come to me as flashbacks and I feel dirty. I felt dirty after this happened to be honest, even though nothing really happened to me. I guess I felt strangely exploited and objectified. I came to her for help but she did this thing...for what? God knows.
On another note, lately I am obsessing over a certain anime character and its weirdly healing me even though I am still feeling very bad. He is not a good person, but I relate to him a lot for some reason.
I also write a lot, Charlie, my stories are probably the only thing that genuinely makes me happy to be myself. I also try to draw when I can.
Well, this is all the brain vomit I can think of for today.
Thank you for listening.

How would your OCs react to meeting the Doctor? (Doctor Who any regeneration you wish)
AAAAH HECK!!!
I’m sooooo sorry it took me so long to answer this! I love this question so much — my brain just stalled hard on answering it for some reason.
BUT!!!
I have an answer for you now!
To start, I’m most familiar with Doctors 9-11, but I have seen a scattering of 1 and 12, and I have seen the movie with 8 once. But for simplicity’s sake, let’s assume that my OCs meet either 9, 10, or 11, and so I will be using he/him pronouns throughout.
So, Rose Deschamps meeting the Doctor! (Added her last name this time to separate her from Rose in the show. XD) It would depend heavily on where she is in her (original) story I feel! If it’s before or at the start of her story, she might be intrigued by him and find his tales fanciful, but she may not believe him. Or if she did, she wouldn’t be tempted to become his companion. But after her story, well, she’d certainly be more tempted to travel with him…
Also, for some reason, I see her getting along most with 10. And I think it’s because they have personalities that would mesh well. They both try to see the good in life and to live their lives to the fullest.
Now, Tina meeting the Doctor! Honestly, I think Tina would be thrilled to meet the Doctor and hear all his stories. Again, assuming she believed him. She’s all about gossip, and holy heck would his stories of adventure make her giddy. She’d probably be asking him all sorts of questions, wanting to hear about it all.
And I see her getting on the most with 11. What I liked about 11 is that he seemed pretty chill most of the time, but when he got dark, he got dark. And that lines up with Tina pretty well. She can be all charm and cheery and smiles, but all the while she’s shrewdly reading you like an open book.
Also, there is something that both Rose and Tina have in common with the Doctor. They all lived through a terrible war and lost so much... depending on where you are in the series apparently. XD I had to zip off and consult my girlfriend on Gallifrey’s fate for a moment. Rose lost her father. Tina lost friends. The Doctor supposedly lost everything at his own hands. And there are moments for all three of them where it clearly shows. It’s a terrible thing to bond over, but I almost feel like they’d find some sort of companionship in that. Knowing that loss, that heartache.
And now, Ginger meeting the Doctor! If she were to learn that the Doctor is not human, she would be thrilled to hear all his stories! And how he’s had so many adventures across time and space! And she would probably go off on him in turn, telling him all about her friend Fate (belonging to my friend @neoninkstains) who also has the ability to traverse time and space. She’d probably also ask him a ton of questions, trying to absorb as much as she can. And if she were to tell the Doctor that she herself is not human, I could see her happily answering questions about being a witch and how witches differ from humans. They would have a fascinating conversation, I feel!
I’m not sure which version of the Doctor Ginger would get on most with — but it could be interesting if she got to meet some of the different incarnations as time went on!
ANYWAY!
Thank you SO MUCH for the question, @jameshoppy, and I’m sorry it took so long to answer it! I hope you enjoyed this regardless!

Farmhouse [Part 1 out of ???]
Tumblr media
Note: So, I know that I made an Itto fanfic literally not too long ago [Don't worry I still plan on updating it every now and again seeing as it's a short story!] But I also had another idea in mind at the time based off my current obsession with Stardew Valley! The game is hella fun and seeing as I've created a whole mini-story over my farmer, I wanted to bring it to life!
Not to mention- the game is so packed with lore and small little details that really bring the story of Stardew to life that I just couldn't help it~
So...even though my account is mostly based around anime and Genshin Impact, this account at it's core is still revolved around stories in general so that's what I intend to do with this account!
So without further ado? Thanks for checking out my story 'Farmhouse'!
~~~~
Synopsis: Life in Zuzu City was...stifling, to say the least. Quite frankly, you've lost track long ago as to how it exactly got this way, it seemed that it was just yesterday that you started waking up and working a boring 9 to 5 desk job. Intense wars and uncertainty raged outside of those stifling mega-corporation office walls, hopelessness within' that place bred as quickly as a disease. At least, until you remembered you had a one-way ticket to a new start.
Warning(s): Angst, Mentions of Depression and Suicide [Mostly when Shane comes into the picture], Slow-burn Romance, Gender-neutral reader(?) [It's not really a self-insert though? The reader has their own personality and wishes that are similar to the original personality I gave my farmer], Suggestive Themes [In late parts], Smut(?) [Subject to change if I suddenly feel like the story doesn't need it or I'm too nervous of my ability to write smut to even attempt it xD], (More warnings to possibly come as this story goes on?)
And per usual, critique and comments? Likes and reblogs? All is appreciated!
[9:00pm :: Zuzu City, Location :: Grandpa's House]
It was a sad day that day you remember...your immediate family, friends, and even people you haven't even begun to hear of have come to witness your grandfather in his final moments. Sometimes he had the energy to joke around and laugh, playfully saying that he was happy to leave this world and stop having to pay the bills. Other times, particularly the ones where people would walk up crying, he'd remain silent and simply offer them a smile and the strongest grip of their hand he could muster at the time.
You watched it all and tried to remain strong, your mother was already trying to comfort your father for he was losing his only father.
You remained strong...up until it was your turn to go up to your grandpa's bedside and look at him.
Oh...he used to be such a jovial man. Full of life, hearty laughter, and many stories that you couldn't even begin to believe!
Stories of magic, witches, and wizards, fighting against dark monsters and hustling goblins out of their duties. As a child growing up, you would listen with your eyes filled with wonder and question about whether or not those stories were really true! Especially the monster part, while witches and wizards and strange races were a common thing in your world.
Monsters? You've yet to see such a thing!
Those memories...they served to help you keep your smile up until you finally arrived at your bedside where you found it particularly hard to keep your tears at bay.
"Grandpa..." Your voice whispered, having to remove your round glasses to quickly wipe away the tears that threatened to fall.
Your grandfather remained silent through the minute-long ordeal, allowing you to grieve and process your emotions before he finally chuckled quietly once he assumed you were done.
"Don't cry now...be happy! Or, well, attempt to...you have a stressful job don't ya?"
You nodded your head with a scoff. The job was indeed stifling, stressful, and back-breaking. Hell, you could've sworn that one time, you saw a skeleton in one of the cubicles at your job. No one bothered to clean it up nor mention it so...you thought it best at the time to not mention it either. After all, in this life, that was the motto. Mega corporations called the shots, you were just a piece in the game they wanted to play.
"Grandpa, let's...let's not talk about my job...kay?"
He nodded his head weakly. "Yes, yes...I wouldn't want to make you feel jealous of the fact I'll never have to hear of those big corporation bastards ever again."
You gasped. "Grandpa!"
"Bah, calm down, I'll be dead soon. Let me curse."
You rolled your eyes as you held his hand.
Cold.
Death's door was near.
"Now-" He coughed a few times. "-Listen to me Y/N...there- there will come a time where you will no longer be able to stand your workplace. Truly stand your workplace." You slowly nodded your head, wondering where he was going with this.
"You'll long for something different, to be someone different. A fresh start almost...so..." You allowed him some space to reach over to a nightstand right beside himself, opening up a drawer before he pulled out a single letter.
When you took it, you were about to open it until he quickly stopped you. "No, no...keep it closed...only open up until that time comes..."
You tilted your head, you were curious of the reason of why he would tell you this. To be honest, you were tired of your job now! You longed for something different but...you'd honor your grandpa's wishes. To wait for that moment when you truly couldn't stand your job anymore. To the point where you felt like your head would explode if you stayed at your job a second longer.
You'd honor his wish.
You'd wait.
[3:00pm :: Zuzu City, Location :: Joja Mart Corporation, Your Office Cubicle]
That night had been nearly three years ago. You were twenty-six now. For all those three years, you had been waiting for that exact moment that your grandpa had told you to wait for to open that letter. That feeling that only a dead-end job with no hope in sight nor the distant future could provide. The feeling where you'd feel like you'd either explode or maybe even cause a ruckus, anything to get you out of this job.
You waited for that feeling.
And...just as you moved your mouse to hover over the 'Send' button to send yet another email to your boss, you felt it.
That feeling where you thought you were going to explode at any moment if you continued to remain and suffer at this job.
Three years, they still haven't removed that skeleton.
It was getting cobwebs now and you swore the ghost of whoever died there was haunting this place, resulting in the depressing atmosphere whilst an annoying beep played in the background. The beep that reminded you of an annoying alarm clock was the one that told you to keep working, the green light with a sound that reminded you of caged birds was the one that told you to take a break.
Well...'break'. It was barely long enough for you to get a drink of water, a measly three minutes tops. Maybe five if it was a holiday.
You slowly looked behind you to see if the Head of this floor was watching.
No, he was busy talking to some secretary. Entranced by the young man's flashy smile and eagerness to please.
You scoffed, you wouldn't fault the secretary for doing anything to get a raise in this place. But that man? Based on what you've heard, he was a demon who gave no mercy and exploited people ten times worse when they attempted to exploit him.
Nevertheless, it was the opportunity you were waiting for as you turned back around and opened one of your desk drawers, your grandpa's letter hidden away safely amongst the paperwork and manilla folders as you blew some dust off the letter and tore it open.
You cleared your throat as you quietly read the note aloud.
My dearest granddaughter, Y/N,
If you are reading this then I have passed on. This letter is to state that I am passing on my pride and joy, the Kami Farm. It is located in Stardew Valley, on the southern coast of this region. It's the perfect place to start your new life.
My girl, I know you will do the family name well. You'll do well with this farm, it was my most precious gift after all and now? It is yours, good luck Y/N.
Love, Grandpa.
Your eyes threatened to bulge right out of your skull.
A farm?
