"luce! we need to go or we'll be late man." you yelled out, rolling your eyes and tapping away at your phone. "aih alright alright, perfection takes time y'know?" your girlfriend finally joined you with a cocky smile.

"your confidence is as always, nauseating." you gagged, the taller girl chuckling and pulling you into a kiss. "i know you only act like ya hate it, when really it turns ya on baby." the defender mumbled into the kiss with a grin.

"sorry hang on-" you pulled away and again fake gagged. "such a child." lucy clicked her tongue and shook her head, shoving yours to the side. "ah! your perfection takes time? my hair takes longer, hands off the merchandise bronze." you warned wagging a finger at her.

"not the kind of merchandise you're slingin that i like to have my hands on anyway stanway." the brunette smiled with a wink, grabbing your bag for you. "didn't you just yell at me we were going to be late?" lucy teased holding her hand out which you accepted.

"hey its not me whose going to have issues with you being late." you chuckled, your dinner guest the one you knew would be causing problems if any.

your girlfriend retorting something back in spanish knowing you wouldn't understand you rolled your eyes and smacked her.

"we get it, you live in barcelona!"

"god man we said seven, its nearly seven thirty! not only do you corrupt me little sister but you're a bad influence on her time management lucy." georgia scowled the moment you arrived at the table.

"older sister! thank you very much." you pulled your younger sister into a hug as she stood to greet you. "older but smaller, big little sister!" georgia teased patting your head condescendingly. "don't you encourage her!" you warned your girlfriend with a sharp glare as she chuckled.

"gonna have to do a bit more than laughin at my jokes to get back into me good books here lucy." georgia warned, though you relaxed a little when she hugged the taller girl and all three of you sat down.

"its been a year now georgia, get over it." you rolled your eyes playfully, conversation flowing easily as you tucked yourself into lucys side despite the teasing from your sister.

"so, did you make a decision yet?" georgia asked only a half hour into the meal. "christ gee i haven't even had my entree yet! lay off man." you sighed, your contract with city due for renewal once again as you'd only signed on for one year extension.

you felt lucys fingers trace absentminded patterns on your shoulder, the brunette already knowing your answer and that georgia wasn't likely to take it all that well.

gratefully she didn't ask again, clearly picking up on the vibe that you weren't ready to talk about it and not wanting to ruin the time you did have together.

with a small hamstring strain you'd been ruled out of games and proper training for two weeks, so you'd flown to barcelona to see your girlfriend each weekend in between your rehab program.

conveniently barcelona had drawn bayern for their group stage of the uwcl and it almost seemed divine timing that you were actually able to watch, some of your teammates teasing that you were faking the injury to watch the match.

taking your seat the following afternoon you were wedged between lucys brother and mother, having already been absolutely berated by your sister over facetime earlier this morning for your outfit choice.

also ribbed by your older brothers who'd made the trip too you were grateful to be sat in the home section and away from their constant teasing you were bringing shame to the family in your bronze jersey.

the game started off with both teams coming out swinging, no goals conceded on either end by half time, lucy finding you and her family in the crowd and sending a grin and a wave in your direction.

your sister on the other hand caught your eye and flipped you the bird, something you were certain would be circulating twitter in a matter of hours.

you and lucy hadn't officially come out as dating but you also didn't shy away from 'soft launching' as leah had taught you it was called, and you allowed the rumour mill to circulate, no doubt in your mind your appearance here would only send it haywire.

the second half kicked off and from the very first touch it was apparent the barca girls had come out with a vengeance, bagging three goals in the first twenty minutes all with different scorers, your girlfriend assisting two of them.

the game finally ending with barcelona reigning supreme winning five to nil you were up on your feet as the stadium let out a thunderous cheer and the girls did their laps, a smile curling on your face watching your sister and girlfriend walk together, pushing one another around and joking with a grin.

after georgia had found out the two of you were dating she hadn't taken it well, getting over the initial shock and refusing to speak to either you or lucy for three whole weeks.

eventually leah and keira had gotten in her ear and spoken smacked some sense into her, reminding it was your life and your choice and your happiness, and she'd be a bad sister to stand in the way of that.

so to see them back to normal joking around and hugging flooded your body with relief, an immense weight off your shoulders of months of being the only connection between them, their new clubs meaning besides international duty they hardly saw one another.

eventually the crowd was dispersed leaving all the girls and their respective friends and families, you sat up on the barrier as lucy stood in between your legs, hands splayed across your thighs as you spoke with a few of her friends and teammates.

"so, am i wrong to hear we might have to see more of you soon chica?" mapi grinned as you pinched your girlfriends hip sharply and she winced. "maybe." you answered with a sly smile before grumbling in lucys ear about how she had a big mouth.

"you don't normally seem to mind my mouth though babe, especially when it serves you." the brunette mumbled back, stretching so her lips grazed your ear and she squeezed dangerously high up your leg as you blushed bright red and smacked her shoulder.

"well if that is true then maybe lucia will stop looking so miserable and going on and on about how much she misses you." alexia smiled, accent thick but you appreciated their efforts to speak english with you as a few of the girls laughed and lucy shot her a glare.

"we should go see my family luce, i think gee's done licking her wounds." you murmured as lucy nodded, turning her head to peck your lips and pushing herself up as mapi wolf whistled sending the two of you a wink.

you laughed as lucy rolled her eyes and helped you down, taking your hand as you waved the girls goodbye before the two of you crossed the pitch to where most of the bayern girls were spending time with their own families.

"well well well, the little traitor returns." sol grinned as you punched his shoulder and both you and lucy made the rounds greeting your family, keira also speaking with georgia a few feet away.

"just tryin out the colours before the big move then aih?" sol of course had to open his own big mouth right as georgia and keira returned, the blondes eyes widening at your brothers words.

"the what?" she sent you a glare as you smiled guiltily, sinking into lucys arms as she held you from behind, really using you as more of a human shield than trying to offer you any sort of comfort.

"surprise?" you smiled, biting your bottom lip as keira sighed and pinched her forehead and georgia let out a laugh. "so, barcelona then? officially?" she asked, scarily calm as you nodded.

"won't be announced until the summer, the contracts all but signed." you admitted as georgia nodded, seemingly processing as you started to relax a little assuming she was taking it better than you'd worried.

you were wrong.

Ashley comes back not knowing Tim has long since moved on from her. She wants another chance with Tim. Ashley confides in Lucy not knowing they are now a couple. How will Tim navigate this mess?

Life has been busy for both Tim and Lucy. Tim, working around the clock. He was establishing himself as Metro Sargent and has built close relationships with his team. After the tension with Lucy and how he got his position in Metro. He was so thankful for the sacrifice she made and his Wilshire family for the five player trade. He had never felt so professionally fulfilled. Aside from training his former hot shot rookie as a TO😉 This was right where he wanted to be. Tim loved the Metro action he gets to be a part of and always trusting his men to always have his back at every turn. The only downside was on many occasions his schedule didn’t align with Lucy’s. They were so strong as a couple and always prioritized each other when they could. Always making it work. They had been together for almost a year now. They hadn’t officially moved in together but that was just a formality as they spent all their nights at Lucy’s. Even if they only got a few hours together, they would always have their time together. A little time was better than none.

Lucy for her part was busy too. She had passed the detective exam with flying colours. In the top five. The officer who was originally blocking her after the five player trade had reconsidered. Grey had changed the officers tune. Regardless of Lucy’s actions on Tim’s behalf. The LAPD would benefit from having Lucy as a detective. She had too much talent for her path to be stalemated. Lucy had been so relieved when she was able to continue down her chosen path. Lucy had absolutely no regrets getting Tim into Metro. It’s where he was meant to be individually and also for them as a couple. This was a sacrifice she would make a thousand times over with no hesitation. She had been so relieved when it all worked out for them and their careers. Lucy was still on patrol as there wasn’t an official open detectives spot at Wilshire. However, Lucy would step in to help Angela and Nyla on cases. Also, she would work on short UC ops. Lucy had made a decision she would not pursue long term UC assignments as her dreams had changed and it wasn’t her dream anymore. She did still love the UC action so would step in for short ops where she could still go home to Tim. When Lucy wasn’t helping on cases she was out on patrol which she also still loved.

Tim was out on a Metro call and Lucy was chatting with Angela and Nyla before she headed out on patrol. As Lucy was about to head out. A tall, thin blonde strolled through the doors . Ashley McGrady. What was she doing here? thinking Lucy. Ashley heading straight towards the detectives. Angela felt a rush of adrenaline come over her. She was not only protective of her best friend but also Lucy who had become one of her best friends and is protective of their relationship. As Ashley approached, Angela stepped in front of Lucy. “Hello, Ashley. What can we do for you?” asking Angela. “Hey, Angela. I wanted to talk to Lucy about something” replying Ashley. Lucy walked over to the side with Ashley. Angela and Nyla sticking close within hearing distance.

“Ashley. What’s up? nervously asking Lucy

“Lucy. Look. I know you’re close with Tim and I need your help. I regret how I broke up with Tim. I let my own fears and insecurities get the best of me. I have had a lot of time to think and process. I miss him. I really loved him. I was hoping that you would help me. I just want to talk to him. We haven’t spoken since I broke up with him. Maybe, you could help arrange a meet up? Test the waters for me. I just want a second chance”

Lucy could feel tears forming. Her stomach felt tight and clenched. She felt literally like throwing up. She just needed to get out of this situation to process what was actually happening. Lucy felt insecure in a swift moment which she hadn’t felt in their almost year long relationship. At first, Lucy had convinced herself she wasn’t Tim’s type. Ashley and Isabel had many similarities and they were his type. After Tim affectionately assured her that wasn’t true. Lucy was his type. Over time, Lucy felt secure physically with their connection. Now, she was doubting herself again. If Ashley was willing to give him everything that he wanted for his future. Would Tim still want Lucy as his forever? she was spiraling.

“Umm. I have to head out on patrol. Tim isn’t here right now. See you later Ashley”

Ashley was left confused. Did Lucy not want to help her? Ashley walked towards Angela and Nyla. “Well that was a little weird” Angela piped up. “Was it?” Ashley sighing. “Well yah, I really thought Lucy would help me” answering Ashley. “I’m pretty sure Tim will be out for most of the day. You might want to try and catch up at a later time” lying Nyla. Tim could be back at the station anytime. They were both hoping they would miss eachother. Ashley left the station clearly exasperated.

Angela looked at Nyla. “Oh hell no, she’s not waltzing back into his life with her blond skinniness like nothing happened and causing problems. I’m gonna talk to Tim” snipping Angela. “Here’s your chance, look who just walked in?” replying Nyla.

“BRADFORD. We need to talk!” yelling across the station was Tim’s best friend.

“What’s your deal Lopez? SIMMER DOWN”

“Your office. NOW”

As Tim closed the door in his office. Fearful of what was going to come out of his best friends mouth.

“Lopez. What’s going on? Your kinda scaring me”

“Nyla, Lucy and I were chatting at my desk before Lucy headed out on patrol. Guess who stopped by?”

“I don’t know. Who?”

“A thin, blonde lifeguard”

“Ashley? What did she want?”

“Oh funny you should ask. She came in with this regret bullshit. Wanting Lucy to help in getting a second chance with you”

“WHAT?! You’re screwing with me, right?”

“I wish I was. Literally, she asked Lucy to help arrange a meet up for you and Ashley. She gave her this ridiculous speech on how she had regretted breaking up with you and wanting another chance”

“WHAT THE HELL?! I haven’t spoken to her since we broke up. What did Lucy say?”

“Nothing. She bee lined out of here and told Ashley she had to get out on patrol. But Tim, I saw the hurt in Lucy’s eyes. She was about to cry if she didn’t get out of there”

“Hurt! Crying! WHY? Lucy is the love of my life. I haven’t even thought about Ashley. Not once, since it ended. If anything she did me a favour. Made me realize where my heart belongs. Lucy knows how in love I am with her”

“You might want to reassure her. I could sense she was feeling insecure”

“I will talk to her as soon as I can. I hate that she feels insecure about Ashley. I love Lucy and only Lucy. Hell, I was even in love with her while I was still with Ashley. God damn, I am going to make it clear to Ashley where things stand. She there is absolutely NO CONFUSION”

Tim didn’t respond. He said what needed to be said. His only priority was Lucy. Assuring her how much he loved her and only her was all that mattered. Tim hated that she was questioning anything. He wanted to see her face. The waiting was going to be the death of him. He knew she needed to see his face when they talked.

Tim was called out on a call at the end of the day. Lucy had returned and changed out, heading home. It was a long day. All Lucy wanted was a glass of wine, takeout and some trashy reality TV. She was still reeling with what had transpired at the station. She knew they would talk when he got home. Hoping he wouldn’t be stuck at work all night. Lucy had only been home for a hour when she heard the front door lock turn and there stood her boyfriend. Feeling a sense of relief.

“Hi baby” said Tim

“Hi babe”

As Tim sat down beside her. Instantly, cradling her in his arms.

“Luce. I heard what happened at the station today”

“I’m sure” replying Lucy

“Sweetheart. Look at me”

Lucy turned her teary eyed face towards him.

“Luce. Baby. You have absolutely NOTHING to worry about. Angela was under the impression you were really upset by Ashley showing up. I can’t believe she had the nerve to instil your help. Regardless, I absolutely hate that you questioned anything for a second”

“I know, Tim. I was shocked to be honest. I couldn’t help but feel insecure. I haven’t felt that way since the very beginning with us. It’s just…it brought it all back again”

“Brought what back, Luce?”

“That I’m not really your type. You know, Isabel and Ashley could be twins. I’m just not them. I know you love me. I really do. It’s just. It seems Ashley regrets losing you and she’s willing to give you what she refused to before. It made me a little nervous. Im sorry, Tim”

“Luce. Listen to me. Listen to my words. I want to make myself clear. You are absolutely gorgeous Lucy. Drop dead gorgeous. When I wake up next to you, see you at the station, even just our nights at home together. The one feeling I have is how damn lucky I am that you chose me. You are without a doubt MY TYPE. 16. What's your least favorite ship for this character? Uhm...probably Ali? If we're doing canon, which I am. And this'll probably be a weird answer and my reasoning is simply: we didn't get to know her. (And also the bitch left after Buck got his leg crushed by a truck -- come ON.) I'm fine with Taylor and Natalia, honestly. Are they my fav? No. But I think their connection to Buck and the relationships he has with them is important to his character. He needed to be with Taylor and go through that. He needs to be with Natalia to help him move past stuff. Same goes with Abby. We wouldn't have Buck as he is if he hadn't gone through that with Abby. It was a part of his character growth. Oh, maybe Lucy? But only because cheating is a hard no for me and also she's definitely a lesbian? Or bi with a preference for women.

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to ths character? Something you don't like? Sort of stealing my answer from before but ANGST. I love angst. But also having Buck work through his childhood trauma and kicking his parents to the curb because he deserves so much better. Don't like? Literally will always say MAKING HIM BEHAVE IN WAYS THAT AREN'T HIM. We have a good feel of Buck. You can write him in character. Please.

Greg and Lucy are in uni together.

Greg gets drunk at a party because he sees the girl he’s interested in, Hermione, leave the party with someone else. Lucy is in her bag over her best friend and her brother hooking up, so she gets drunk at the same party and runs into the ever-persistent Gregory Bridgerton.

THEY hook up, and it’s 100/10, so they decide to keep it going but agree not to catch feelings (after all, Greg still is “getting over” Hermione, and Lucy barely knows Greg aside from him having a crush on her best friend. They’d had classes together before and ran in similar social circles, but the only time they had ever spent together prior to hooking up was either with Hermione or talking about her.

They keep hookups very simple at first, just coming over, a little bit of talk, doing what they came to do, a little more talk, then parting ways. Only THIS time, Greg stays the night at Lucy’s for the first time. They’ve been enjoying each other more but neither has said so.

When Greg asks to stay, Lucy offers him a toothbrush. He accepts and follows her into her bathroom and they brush their teeth together. After he’s done, Lucy - ever a creature of habit - goes about her nightly routine. She washes her face, does a light skincare routine, and braids her hair, all with Gregory watching. He finds her particularity endearing, and as he continues to watch, he starts realizing all of the other things about Lucy he finds endearing.

I’ll leave it at that 🫡

I have this cute idea, that Charlie takes care of Vaggie's wings and Angel learns this from her, so he could take care of Husk's wings (he tries to sneakily flirt with the cat demon, but it's far too obvious lmao). Alastor seeing this decides it's a good "courting method" for Lucifer, since he has wings too. But neither Vaggie or Husk won't allow him to touch them, so the radio demon finds some book about preening demon wings.

When he gives Luci the proposition to take care of his wings, it ends up in a mess, with feathers everywhere and complaining Lucifer. But when he sees actually embarrassed Al, he gives him a second chance, so he explains how to comb through the feathers and allows him to try again.

Even after the preening is done, the both of them stay in Luci's room just talking. Lucifer realizes the other likes him, but he's too shy to admit it, so Luci gives him time. 🩵

After Vegas, Ashley gives Tim a ultimatum. Angela steps up to the plate and gives Tim the tough love he needs to come to a long awaited realization.

“I don’t want you seeing her anymore” screamed Ashley. Ashley Mcgrady, a tall, thin blonde that had been Tim’s girlfriend for a while now . “WHAT!?! - Ashley what the hell are you talking about?” answering Tim. Tim had never been so confused in this very moment. They had a nice dinner. Having their first date night since he returned from the UC op in Vegas. Sure, he had gotten an innocent text from Lucy. She was just replying to him after he had checked in with Lucy. Tim knew all too well what the aftermath of an op can entail. It hadn’t been a long, deep undercover mission. It had been a lot of planning, portraying their doppelgängers Dim and Juicy. He knew Lucy was probably fine. But he had gone through this many times with his ex wife Isabel. Tim knew Lucy was not Isabel. He still felt he needed to check in with her just to make sure she was ok. Lucy had broken up with Chris before they left for Vegas. She hadn’t seen a future after she returned from UC school and they were in a standstill after Rosalyn had Chris attacked. They couldn’t bounce back from what happened. Lucy, if she was being truthful didn’t want to. Chris wasn’t the man she wanted. Lucy had Tamara. Her roommate was extremely busy with school and working and was rarely home. So, Tim just wanted to check in with his aide. His friend. His former boot. Lucy had replied she was good and she would see him at work. Very innocent. Ashley’s reaction to her text, shook Tim. “No matter what we are doing. Lucy texts and you drop everything to answer her” muttered Ashley. “Ash, you are being ridiculous. Lucy is my aide and my friend. We went through an intense op. I’m just making sure she’s good” exclaimed Tim. “That’s crap Tim and you know it. I see the way you look at her when you think no one is looking. I see the way you literally drop everything if she texts or calls. I can only imagine what happened in Vegas. I realize you had to pretend being a couple. I’m sure you loved every minute of it” shouting the blonde lifeguard. “Yes, that is true. We had to be a couple in a very dangerous situation and bring down some very bad men. It meant nothing. It’s over now. I’m here with you now. So just drop it” answering Tim and his girlfriends possessive remarks. “No, Tim that’s not good enough. I want to be with you and only you. As long as Lucy’s in your life. She is going to be this wall in between us. If you care about us, you will not continue a personal relationship with her. I understand you have to have a professional relationship but when your off the clock, there is no need to speak with her. She has many people she can go to. It doesn’t need to be you” as Ashley gasped, not prepared for what came next.

“Ashley, WE ARE DONE”

“WHAT?!”

“You heard me. I said we are done. I will not be given an ultimatum. EVER. Lucy is not just my aide, my former rookie. She is one of my best friends. She has been through hell in past few years. I will not walk away from her. I will never choose between her and anyone”

“That’s what I thought. It’ always been Lucy hasn’t it?”

“I’m leaving, Ash. I’m not continuing with this. It’s become crystal clear to me that we aren’t right for each other. Goodbye”

Tim angrily stomping out the door. Jumping into the driver side of his truck. He knew he had completely deflected that last question from his now ex girlfriend. ‘It’s always been Lucy hasn’t it?’ Truth is she wasn’t wrong. He knew deep down he was in love with Lucy. No one would ever give him an ultimatum, especially cutting the most important person out of his life. Even if she was only his friend for the rest of his life, Lucy Chen would always be a part of his life, one of the biggest part. As he drove home, he didn’t know what to do. Hopefully a good night sleep would give him some clarity.

Tim had tossed and turned all night. He needed some advice from his other best friend. Bringing out his text thread to Angela Lopez. He could always count on Angela to give it to him straight.
