Hiii, congrats on your 300+ followers. I saw some of your match up posts and I'm so curious (and exciting, too) about it. So I would like to ask for a HSR and Genshin match up. But if you don't do multiple, then you can do just a HSR match up.~

I'm an INFJ with Scorpio sun. I would say I'm an old soul with a carefree, sometime childlike, personality. Let me make it clear.~ I enjoy philosophical topics and deep conservation. And history and historical things always get my attention. I'm always attracted to vintage or academic things and activities like museum, classical literature and music, languages studying... Even my fashion style get affected by my academic aesthetic obsession. But I know how to make a good joke and enjoy my time, too. When I'm surrounded by my familiars, I can get childish and clingy. That's how I show my trust, by putting down my hyper-independent mask and letting myself get vulnerable around them. Towards strangers, I can be seen as aloof and quiet. And it needs many many and maaaaany effort for me to warm up to anybody.

I'm quite competitive, at least in academic field. Maybe it's the post-gifted-kid syndrome, lol. When I set my eyes on something, I will neglect everything to achieve my goal. So you can assume that my health is not always in good shape (the truth is I get sick often, haiz). But that doesn't mean I don't know when I should stop. Instead, I'm proud to say I know how to keep myself in check when my competitive tendency could do bad things to other people. Normally, I'm type of people to just go with the flow. Some of my friends may say I'm a softie if the problem doesn't bother me too much to make me feel annoyed. And when I'm annoyed, that's a different story. Safe to say I can make a grown-up man cry with my words. You don't have to always use violence to solve things.

I think I have talents in learning languages. I can speak 3 languages and currently I'm learning another one. Yet, my major is business administration. You know, economy major is always a safe choice.

I'm quite short. But I think 155cm is an average height for an Asian so never mind. I have long black hair (oh I loooove long hairs in general, including my hair too, safe to say I love playing with my friends' hairs dguahuihhwh), dark brow eyes and soft feature with plump lips (my favorite features~) and a beauty mark on my right chin, right under my mouth (yes my favorite features again hehe). But my friends prefer my round full cheeks or my doe eyes (hm, and I think my eyes are rather sad, not doe-eyes much).

Absolutely no hate to this anon but as a super ultra pro max feminine girlie, I see little to no hyper-feminine fics on this app so I like when trouble is a bit more feminine. I love dresses and bows and the color pink and glitter and lace. I mainly read Steve Harrington and Peter Parker fics, and the Peter fics tend to be a bit more feminine because the Steve ones are always like “Steve traced your hand and glanced at your ratted, old band t-shirt, his other hand caressing your thigh through your ripped jeans” and it gives me the ick and I just reblog it (because it’s not the author’s fault that that’s not my style - and I still wanna support them because it’s damn good writing) but sometimes I just wonder how it’s not like 50/50? Idk the fics that I read are like overwhelmingly tomboy or just not super feminine? Again, absolutely no hate to this anon or authors who write like this - it’s just my style/opinion. 💕

i totally get where you're coming from anon! i try to go neutral but i may lean towards the more "tomboy" style because i'm one. i've never really worn makeup or dresses so i don't even think to write like that. *i will be more conscious of this going forward*

as for the second part, the fics i've seen with a super feminine reader tend to go very innocent and childlike and i think that might have subconsciously pushed me away from that.

Miriam Mendelsohn // Twenty-Three // Human // Evermore Chronicle Intern

First thing’s first Miriam will ALWAYS be a 4*TOWN stan. Those are her boys and she worked damn hard to see their concert back in middle school. If it wasn’t for her amazing group of friends that shared the same obsessive love for the band she wouldn’t be who she is today! 4*TOWN is a part of her and always will be.

Her childhood was pretty quiet up until her parents divorce. She was almost in middle school when it happened. After all that business was done she opted to live with her dad because her mom wasn’t the most nurturing person. Their relationship was always strained and she still talks to her and keeps contact but not much. Sometimes she feels bad because that’s still her mom but her dad has always been there for her more than her mom was.

She’s a total goofball. Miriam is the one always cracking jokes and earned the superlative in high school of ‘class clown.’ It often got her in trouble, being sent to the principal’s office and such. But, hey! At least her tactics made her friends laugh. Even when they’re down Miriam always finds a way to find the perfect middle ground between nurturing and uplifting people with her humor.

A tomboy through and through. Never been a girly-girl. She wears minimal makeup, mostly just some black liner and an occasional ‘cute’ look that her friends do for her for events and such. She was always more concerned with the newest skateboard deck than fashion trends. To this day she still skates and totally considers herself a skater.

Her style is pretty chill. Lots of denim and plaid. She rocks a flannel like none other. Paired with ripped jeans and some slip on Vans? Sounds like the best fit to Miriam! Aside from that you’ll find a lot of green in her wardrobe, as it’s her favorite color, and a bunch of graphic t-shirts.

She’s very heavy into music and different genres. Being a 4*TOWN fan growing up only made her love of bands develop. She kinda outgrew the boyband phase but 4*TOWN will always have a special place in her heart. Their songs still make it to her on repeat playlist on spotify! Music helps her focus on work a lot.

Speaking of work, Miriam does love her job though she hates she has to work for a living. She still has a childlike charm to her. Maybe it’s from her humor but she would much rather write for fun than for work.

She found a love of writing through journaling in middle school. That carried with her to high school and beyond. Journaling turned to short stories and poems and then she began submitting her work online and freelanced for cash in high school. Working for the newspaper is great though because she can write about topics she likes while putting her own bit of flair into her writing. Her boss doesn’t always appreciate that but he did give her a small area of the paper to put a ‘daily joke.’ They’re usually really bad dad jokes or puns.

Her friends are still her ride or dies. She’d do anything for them. Whether that’s throwing the first punch at the bar to some creepy dude or staying up until the sun rises because they need a shoulder to lean on. She’s very reliable and will always be there for them as she knows they would do the same for her.

The whole panda thing with Meilin was insane but Miriam was so chill about it. She loves the panda in Mei and even though her defending and protecting her friend to the end of the world made Mei’s mom kinda hate Miriam it’s fine. Totally fine. It doesn’t bother her, right? That’s a lie. It still bothers Miriam to this day and she doesn’t understand why she wants her friend’s moms approval so much. Maybe it’s because her own mother was barely there for her and she needs a maternal figure to make up for that.

Miriam is bisexual. She figured that out in the eighth grade. SHe came out to her friends first and then her dad. They were all so supportive and accepting but when she told her mom when visiting one weekend a year or so later when she had the courage to tell her she didn’t get the same reaction. It’s a struggle because she had her first girlfriend at the time and was so happy and her mom just…crushed her feelings.

She’s very open minded and loud about her opinions and what she believes in. She will fight for her rights just as well as yours. Pride month is very important to her because she thrives in the community and feels safe and accepted there. She does lean more towards girls so, ladies, if you’re single hit her up!

It really killed her to move out of her dad’s house but she’s so independent that she needed to. She talks to him daily and visits at least twice a week. She’s still very close to him and he’s her #1 fan and biggest supporter outside of her friends. But, she saved up her money from work and got herself a little one bedroom.

Her apartment is very her. It’s very goblincore meets skater girl meets music fanatic. There's a tapestry of mushrooms up and posters galore! She has a few plants but struggles to keep them alive during the winter. She still has 4*TOWN posters and her cutout of Aaron T. She’s not super messy but not the tidiest either. Embracing My Girlhood Looks Like:

🍒Unpacking which parts of my childhood were healthy and which parts were toxic and abusive. (This might seem obvious at first, but all too often we try to tell ourselves certain things were ok that weren’t ok. It’s an unhealthy coping mechanism. And also very often some people will try to categorize their entire childhood as “good” or “bad” instead of understanding that it was a mix of various things with nuances that need to be understood).

🍒Taking the positive aspects of my experiences as a girl growing up and embracing them with childlike wonder. (It’s sad that the world tries to take away the things we enjoy as little girls by saying we have to be responsible now that we are adults. But what TRULY is being “responsible” is taking care of your inner child and emotional self that never goes away even with decades).

🍒Being flirty and coquettish but also protective over myself. (This means analyzing what is and isn’t a safe space to express my sexuality.)

🍒Indulging in pleasures in the present, like eating a slice of cake while fully enjoying the flavors instead of daydreaming the whole time.

🍒Surrounding myself with other girls that understand me but also have experiences of their own that I can learn from and grow. The more I add to my friend group, the more I understand that embracing girlhood looks different to everyone. So the coquette aesthetic and its subtypes are uniquely expressed by each individual that chooses to live it. My girlhood and idea of coquette is very inspired by my experiences growing up in California and being a bit lonely but using that loneliness to encourage creativity. I didn’t have many friends growing up. Often I had none at all, so I took this time to create worlds of my own and explore them through my art and playing with Barbies. I grew up with a strong will to be unique and defy everyone’s expectations, so my style was very bold and was impacted by this (tbh still is to this day). I love girly clown makeup, leopard print coats, fishnets, blue eyeshadow and blue lipstick and anything hot pink and sparkly. Turning doll heads into earrings and blasting Dana Dentata is my vibe! I accentuate my big eyes that I used to get made fun of on the playground for. And it’s totally ok for it to be different than every one of my friends coquette interpretations. Everyone is valid.

I just wanted to quickly give y’all some insight on how Jasmine came to be as a character and how her fighting style is structured.

Spoiler warnings for these movies/games

Logan from Marvel

Black Widow from Marvel

The Last Of Us Part One

Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain

Trigger Warnings: Cutting, violence, child soldiers, and attempted rape.

Laura/X-23 from the movie Logan and Marvel comics:

I’ll start with the movie Logan first. (God I love this movie)

Jas almost fights almost exactly like Laura in her movie introduction scene, just a little less skilled and precise due to protesting her own training. Instead of claws, Jazzy uses her never ending abundant of knives in the same manner but also incorporates gun use. She has the same amount of fiery fury Laura expresses down to the raging snarling and grunts.

Here’s a link to the scene in the movie. (Warning, it’s very graphic) Yes, Jas is terrifying to fight when she is at her peak, maybe more when she is running at you bloodied.

Logan/Nick kinda have to teach these girl how to human, with Laura not knowing how and Jasmine forgetting from brainwashing. (Although it’s worth pointing out that Logan and Nick have a little more different moral values and standpoints)

The gas station scene in the movie did the best of drawing parallels. Laura/Jas gets touched by someone and they resort to beating the crap out of the person only to be told, “Not okay!” by Logan/Nick.

The childlikeness shines through both of the girls despite the torture they endured. Laura/Jas like kiddish and girly things, with Laura liking the rideable toy horse and pink sunglasses while Jazzy still likes playing with toys and wearing dresses. (Don’t judge her, she’s been though hell)

And now we go a little more into Laura’s comic counterpart which I think is the most like Jas. You can do some reading on her, and you’ll see it.

Pure torture is best to describe their time in training. While X-23 had people like her Mom or Sensei to give her some sort of comfort, Jas only had her memories to keep her warm and grasp sanity.

Both teen girls have an activation mode were they see red and go into a, “kill everything mode.” Difference is that Jas has more of a controlled state of mind and can mostly distinguish from friends and enemies while X-23 goes straight into killing everyone no matter what.

X-23/Jas express to their father figures that when they had killed people in the past, they had been emotionless to doing so and it haunts them. X-23 even cuts herself with her claws, and much like Jazzy, she heals completely from it.

I could draw more example's, but we’d be here all day.

Black Widow from Marvel:

The Red Room program inspired a bit on what Jas had to go through. It had a similar goal of training, master assassin weapon who can blend in virtually anywhere.

Jazzy fights like a Black Widow when doing a more stealthy or non-lethal approach. So a lot of jumping on people and using the momentum to take them down. Again, she is not as trained and tactical as one would be.

Natasha can be seen using objects as improv weapons/distractions in her fighting. Whether it’s a chain, table, curtain, basket, or chair Nat can use it to her advantage. Same thing with Jas, she’s almost a master of making a weapon out of anything on a whim, especially more knives.

Like Jasmine and Laura, Nat is bothered and tortured by her past even though it’s not entirely her fault, she was groomed and brainwashed from the start of her life. Jasmine was able to resist it more than Nat because she was raised by a family and didn’t get induced until she was nine, but that only added more guilt.

Ellie from The Last of Us: (God I love this game and it’s DLC Left Behind, not a fan of part 2 though)

The dynamic between Joel and Ellie is absolutely amazing and was a big inspiration. You’d have to have played the game to know what I’m talking about, I can’t put it into words.

Jasmine is a bit more like Joel on the relationship part, more unwilling to bond with the other due to past events and loses but they eventually melt and give in.

Nick doesn’t really have to play protecter as much as Joel does, but there are circumstances where he will and it’s terrifying because much like Joel, it’s a parent protecting their kid.

Ellie has the childlike wonder about the old world and eventually Jasmine gains that same wonder about the new world she was dropped kicked into.

The time after the Winter deer scene expresses Jasmine and Nick the most. Joel/Nick being talkative while Ellie/Jas is more absent and quiet with the trauma they just endured. But one little event can start making Ellie/Jas bloom again, although Jazzy is more prone to reverting back to being absent and cold calculating.

Ellie and Jas are actually the same height, which is 5’3. And oh Lord does Jas swear just as much as Ellie does throughout the game, maybe more.

Quiet from Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain:

This one is purely off Quiet’s fighting style and not really anything else. Quiet is an enhanced human who has extreme super strength, but is still light and easy to carry like everyone else on this list. She is seen pushing back a man then holding up two men by the neck with only her hands, but later is easily knocked down or picked up. Jazzy is the same, stronger than an average man but still as light as someone of her size. Here is the link to the scene. (Quick insight, Quiet breathes through her skin so that’s why she is barely clothed)

Other than fighting and skill levels such as perception, I don’t think there is any more similarities. They dress literally polar opposite and Jazzy actually talks or at least tries to communicate in some form to the people she likes.

There is a certain scene in the game that I have to specifically point out. You’ll have to look it up on your own but in summary, Quiet is captured, suffocated, and almost gets r*ped by a gang of men. She escapes like a badass and goes BRUTAL on them, again you’ll have to see for yourself. It’s exactly what Jas would do to her former captors if she ever met them again, minus the superpower abilities.

So… yup, all these cobbled together helped shape Jas as a character. Everything else I patched together with ideas I came up with from either my own experiences, or similar to someone else’s.
