50s, 60s Christmas. My mother had that cardboard fireplace. I used to lay in front of it, watching the flames flickering. It was done by using a large Christmas light that was surrounded by a frame that had a small pin at the top right above the bulb. (usually red or orange) You would then balance on that pin a small metal fan with about 5 blades, and the heat from the bulb would make it spin, and that would create the flickering of the flames. It is the one thing from my childhood that I wish I still had. It has never felt like Christmas since.

Gwen is a beach boys girly and drives Finney crazy with the Christmas album every December.
Terrence used to hate it, he’s much more of a old country™️ guy. But he’s warmed up to it, she’s seen him mutter-hum along to it.
She also likes the Jackson 5 Christmas album
The 70s and early 80s Christmas albums are the only tolerable covers and good modern original Christmas song(modern is relative)

Various - A Soul Christmas (Atlantic-ATCO, 1968) - design and illustration by Loring Eutemey
A compilation of Christmas song covers from Atlantic/Stax's soul artist roster at the time. From what I can tell, all these were previously released beforehand.
