I need to know more about your mlp wordgirl phi ness and ferb au

OK this has been in my inbox for awhile but I think I’m ready to answer it now🤣

SO. In 2012, my primary fandoms were WordGirl, Phineas and Ferb, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. So, I did what any 12 yr old with a lot of free time and a passion for writing convoluted stories would do: I combined them into a crossover fic!!! I never actually finished it (it kinda spiraled out of control😅), but I had a a ton of fun with it! As of now it’s over 20,000k words long. Each chapter was written in first-person/present-tense from the perspective of one of three characters: Isabella, Becky, or Twilight Sparkle. (And yes. It had a Phinabella subplot.)

I’ll provide a bit of context and explain the story beneath the cut, for anyone who’s interested😅

Of these three shows, I’m assuming yall are least likely to know about WordGirl, SO! The main character, Becky, is a 10 1/2 yr old humanoid super-powered alien who crash landed on earth as a baby, was adopted by an earthen family, and became a superhero: WordGirl. As her alias implies, she’s very passionate about vocabulary (the show aired on PBS Kids and that was the educational aspect of it).

ALRIGHT SO. In the story! Becky’s family goes to visit the Flynn-Fletcher family (because their moms were friends in college or something😂). While there, Phineas and Ferb offer to take Becky to her home planet (I don’t think she revealed her identity to them, maybe she just expressed interest in visiting there). So she, her little brother TJ, Phineas, Ferb, Candace, and Isabella (OBVI) get in a spaceship….but they end up crash-landing on another planet which just so happens to be EQUESTRIA, where My Little Pony takes place. Each character is paired off with one of the six mane (ahaha…..🥲) MLP characters, which ultimately would’ve led to each human character also being paired with an Element of Harmony for the climactic final battle I never got around to writing. (Twilight Sparkle is paired with Becky since they’re both “book smart” and have powers…and because they’re my favorites of course I paired them, lol!). Twilight Sparkle also finds a prophecy about “bipedal beings” (aka our Phineas and Ferb/WordGirl characters) and a catastrophe, so when they arrive, it freaks her out a little. The ponies and humans all go to Canterlot, which is like the royal capital of Equestria, to visit the princess, and they bond with one another along the way.

NOW. In My Little Pony, there’s these creatures called “changelings.” Changelings can shapeshift, and they gain power by feeding off of love. Like, in my favorite My Little Pony episode, a changeling impersonates another character’s fiancé and uses their love to grow stronger. In my story, one of the mane 6 ponies is replaced by a changeling pretty early on. That changeling’s job is to discover a strong source of love in the group so they can impersonate the recipient of said love and yall know my brand I think you can see where I’m going with this🤣.

So! Phineas gets replaced with a changeling and said changeling briefly tries to woo Isabella, except Isabella can tell he’s not acting like himself, tells him off for it, and subsequently gets captured and replaced herself (since if she doesn’t love Phineas anymore, she’s of no use to the changelings). Becky eventually finds out about the plan using her superpowers but she’s discovered and ALSO replaced with a changeling. And Twilight I think is just trying to figure out more about the prophecy. The story would have ended with an epic battle against the changelings, the humans and ponies using the elements of harmony to fight, AND a Phinabella confession (because of course it would have). The story also features a parody of a My Little Pony song sung by Isabella about her feelings for Phineas AND an appearance by my very own self-insert pony OC😌.

So yeah! That’s the PnF/WordGirl/MLP crossover fic I wrote when i was 12 in a nutshell!! It’s very over-dramatic and cheesy, but I had a lot of fun writing it. I doubt I’ll ever finish it, but reminiscing makes me happy😊. (Maybe I should draw art of sometime or rewrite a scene or two, just for fun!!)

I love Appledash. I love music.

I wanted to show you guys few songs that in someway remind me of Appledash. But only few. If I tried to type down every song then I'd rather not to because it would've took A LOT of time.

1. She by Dodie

Am I allowed to look at her like that

Could it be wrong when she's just so nice to look at

And she smells like lemongrass and sleep

She tastes like apple juice and peach

I can totally see Rainbow Dash singing, or actually thinking, like that about Applejack. It even says apple juice which totally fits.

Cause she tastes like birthday cake, and storytime, and fall

But to her I taste of nothing at all

We know how AJ loves to talk about her family, storytime, and if you give each Mane 6 character a season, we ALL would associate AJ with fall. And we also know how RD has self esteem issues (which she hates to show). Yup, this song describes how RD feels about AJ. It's their song.

2. Cinnamon Girl by Lana Del Rey

It's not really the lyrics of the song, it's more like the title. Personally, when I think of Applejack I also think of apples and cinnamon. And I think a lot of people do too.

Have you guys noticed how RD is very touch-y with AJ? And AJ is always like 😳. Imagine they both have feelings for each other and AJ pushes RD away because she can't let those "silly feelings" distract her.

3. Boyish by Japanese Breakfast

At first I was gonna say how the title itself only reminds me of Appledash because they're both boyish and you can imagine either of them to sing this about the other, but then I read the lyrics and imagined an AU where RD likes AJ, but AJ likes Rarity (or RD just THINKS that AJ likes Rarity, but in reality she doesn't) because of these lyrics:

I can't get you off my mind, I can't get you off in general

So here we are, we're just two losers

I want you and you want something more beautiful

4. Flaming Hot Cheetos by Clairo

Now I don't really know how to describe why this song reminds me of Appledash, Imma just drop these lines:

I'm such a romantic, I never remember how things really happen

I guess you're attractive, or something

Again, I imagine RD saying this.

I really need to find a song that doesn't make me think of hopeless romantic Rainbow Dash oh my god..

Shout Out to the people who think RD and AJ would only fight if they were in a relationship.. (spoiler alert, they are girlfriends >:)))

The lyrics have absolutely nothing to do with Appledash, believe me.

The whole song is Appledash material. I could put the whole song here but instead I'll show you the lines that REALLY remind me of Appledash.

The way that actually happened. Rainbow Dash really bringed Applejack home with her sonic rainboom.

Yea, Applejack is strong. Stronger than when she was a filly. I have no idea how else to describe what I want to say but this song really screams Appledash.

8. Crush by Cigarettes after sex

Out of all the songs I named and I'm going to name, this is the one that reminds me of Appledash the least. But this line:

Hold you here, my loveliest friend

Now this is a headcanon so you guys won't agree with me, but I headcanon (actually it's one of my many headcanons on how they got together) that before AJ and RD made things official, they had their own type of romance going on, and they loved each other, they just didn't call themself a couple because both thought that what they had is just Friends with benefits (which they hated because they wanted more, but they thought the other didn't care about them like that and they kept their feelings inside yadadada. Yup, just a headcanon)

9. Meant to stay hid by SYML

The title. The lyrics.

The last roundup.

Literally.

Again, I would put the whole song here but I'll just show you guys the lines that really scream Appledash to me.

This is probably what RD thought on the way to Appleloosa when they were searching for Applejack. Proove me wrong I dare you.

The insecurity of Tilda of Mirkwood

When I write about Tilda, I mostly write a pretty unstable but still happy person who just generally craves more in life, sort of like a Disney character.

(Honestly, short side note, every time I hear either How far I’ll go or Go the Distance I can’t help but imagine her just standing on the worst place possible singing the song, like a cliff or the top of a tree, before just jumping down and nearly breaking her neck)

But Tilda has a bit more to her than that, that I didn’t really get to touch in her deep dive, mostly because I couldn’t figure out how to put it in there.

When it comes to the insecurities of Matilda Lucia Dragondaughter, it’s mostly centered around the comparison to others around her, and how she sees herself.

There wasn’t much of it when she was a child, just like any other kid she was pretty carefree and didn’t really mind that sometimes people would talk weirdly about her and her antics.

It begun around the time her da married the elven king and she moved from Dale to Mirkwood, and when Legolas officially became her brother.

Now Legolas is messy and wild, sure, but he’s still a scholar, soldier, athlete, and generally very good looking for an elf, who’s also a prince and next in line for the throne.

Sigrid is a musician, a writer, a scholar, an axe wielder, a future queen, a black smith, and the perfect daughter.

Bain is a sweetheart, an excellent peace keeper, a good soldier despite his disability, the captain of the royal guard and the dream son in law.

Tilda is an emotionally unstable screwup that can’t sit still for one second, is petty as hell, had no sense of self care, has no goal in life, and is just a general nightmare to be around.

That’s at least how she sees herself.

Now while reading this you may think ‘Meteor this sounds more like self loathing than Insecurity, what are you talking about’.

Well, we’re only getting started, because Tilda lives a long life with a lot of shit in it.

When Tilda joined the elven army, she noticed how the trainer was harsher on her than on literally anyone else.

At first she thought it was because she was human and not an elf, until she figured out that they were trying to make her quit, which confused her of why.

That was until her training was done, but unlike basically every other recruit she was only called onto small scouting missions that were generally safe and lame, and she was like oh my family set this up okay.

So she quit immediately, and then the dark times begun.

Tilda was straight up miserable after leaving the army, and would mostly sit in her room and sulk for two reasons.

One, to join the army was her one chance of living up to the standards her siblings had put, by becoming a great soldier and maybe even captain one day, but she had never been given the chance.

Two, her family had tried to make her quit, and then made sure she was only put on the safest and meekest missions there was, which only proved that they didn’t trust or believe in her.

Tilda had always wanted her time in the spotlight, her big chance, her moment to truly shine so to speak. She’d always been in the shadow of her siblings, and the only way to get out of it was to create a scene which made her family angry at her.

See it as sort of a Luna from mlp mixed with Cassandra from Tangled.

And despite the self loathing, she did know that it was only in her head and that her family and friends probably didn’t think that way of her.

But when they refused to let her be a proper soldier, she then they refused to let her go anywhere without a consort, when they refused to let her show what she was capable of, it just proved that what she thought of herself was how they thought of her too.

A screwup.

A mistake.

A spare.

So yeah, she became really depressed, and refused to talk to anyone except Aloe.

She spent a lot of time in Rivendell just to be away from her family, moping in the room she was given and barely ever coming out.

She started to put burn marks on her arms and hands, she started to jump from a bit too high heights, she started to “accidentally” cut herself sometimes.

She just wanted to feel something that wasn’t misery.

Her family tried to cheer her up, but they genuinely didn’t know what was happening since she wasn’t exactly the person to be open about her insecurities and issues, so all their efforts were in vain.

It was Aragorn, out of all people, who got her out of her hole of despair.

Legolas had sent a message to him after a few years of Tilda’s bad habits of barely eating, barely sleeping, and barely talking to anyone else.

Aragorn basically nearly kicked the door in, which nearly scared Tilda to death, before hugging her firmly and demanding that she will follow him on a hunt.

And because of the fact that Tilda respects Aragorn quite a bit, she just nods shortly.

To her surprise, Aragorn doesn’t try to make her talk of what’s going on like literally anyone else, but simply talks about other stuff that is going on in both of their lives.

Tilda ends up having a bit of a wake up call, realizing that she’d been moping for the last eight years, and just decided to get off her ass and do something with her life.

Legolas was quite surprised when Tilda just turned up one day in Mirkwood like if nothing had happened demanding that he’d go kill some spiders with her.

Despite the fact that she’d stopped sulking, she still didn’t make an attempt to better her well being and kept her negative thoughts to herself.

She simply didn’t want to be seen as weak and fragile, like so many thought of her because of her human biology and her constant inability to stay still for one second.

If her family would find out that she also thought of herself as weird and useless, then they would just pity her.

And Tilda honestly thought she was strong enough to handle it.

She was certainly not.

Every time Legolas had to leave for something, every time there was some diplomatic journey ahead, every time the elves were called into battle, she was left behind. She’d always wanted her moment of glory as I’ve previously mentioned, but how could that be given if she never even got the chance?

She just felt like she was in the way for everyone.

After she left her family behind, (Or more exactly literally escaped out the window), she felt free and happy for basically the first time in her life. It was just her and Aloe against the world, with no expectations, no one to feel like she let down, no judgment, just her and her best friend.

And it remained like that for a while, as she didn’t meet many people she didn’t need to compare herself to others.

It was first when she received the invitation to the wedding of Aragorn and Legolas that she was put back on earth again and reality hit her.

Especially when both Sigrid and Bain tried to convince her to come back to society, just so she wouldn’t hurt herself, because which angered her greatly.

She left the wedding early, angry tears in her eyes without turning back.

Which was the reason she took on a dragon and became a dragonslayer. To prove that she wasn’t a doll that would topple over any minute. To prove that she was just as capable and great as her siblings. To prove that she wasn’t just the younger sibling.

And if you’ve read the deep dive, you know how that turned out.

I love Tilda, she’s literallyy favorite Lotr character, which is why I write so much about her. But sometimes I just like to make characters suffer through trauma and insecurities.

This is heavily inspired by me listening to Waiting In The Wings and The Moon Rises for like 24/7 for the last few days, which are both awesome songs go listen to it.

Tilda’s way of coping with how she felt is really bad, (like seriously kids talk to someone take your meds) but from what I’ve written about her I knew she wouldn’t be the one to confront her more weak looking emotions. She was raised by elves, she’s prideful by nature.

The way Tilda feels is not that she’s not worthy of what she has, but more that she deserves more than what she has, which has to do again with the youngest sibling thing.

But honestly with the right power and proper snap, she probably could be like an mlp villain.

...alright fuq it lemme explain my thoughts about the finale spoilers lol

Don’t worry, I WILL be posting this under a read-more so PLEASE turn away and ignore this now (especially with some “spoiler” tags on if you use ‘em) if you don’t want to be spoiled for the finale until it officially airs. I just can’t contain my thoughts no more after ponderin’ them and who knows when it’ll officially air in English (’cause slow schedules can be a pain to deal with lol) sooooo... yeah you’ve been warned xp

...Ooooh boi, well admittedly I kinda skimmed through what the whole plot was about behind the last three episodes (I was moreso focused on all the stuff happening for “The Last Problem” so lol), but I’ll try to keep it brief for the most part:

-So... that whole thing about Grogar being the last “big bad” was just a total lie... since apparently it was just Discord masking himself as the guy just to give Twilight one last battle to face? ...Ehhh, I get that he apparently had “good intentions” but this just seems to be pushing it too far even for Discord’s standards tbh... like these are his friends now (including Fluttershy, his best friend) so why would he allow this much risk to be thrown at them for the sake of just teaching them a valuable lesson about overcoming obstacles? ._. Then again, this IS Discord we’re talking about so him pulling some shady stuff like this is to be expected, I guess? Idk...

-As another twist to the trio of bad guys... NONE of them get redeemed at the end (not even Cozy Glow... who again, is nothing more than a whiny child compared to Chrysalis and Tirek :P), as they all pretty much get blasted with the same stone spell that Discord was under for what I can presume to be forever. I mean... had Sombra been placed in Cozy Glow’s position then I guess I’d be a bit more satisfied with this kind of ending for them instead of feeling questionable about it (’cause again, Cozy’s young age ^^;)... but at the same time, for what it is it’s at least a refreshing change of pace from just having them all instantly forgiven and befriended by all the main heroes. Now that would’ve been cringey... >_<

-We got a reaaally big group of cameos from many past ponies/other creatures from the show to aid in the final battle, including Sunset and a few of the MLP movie characters like Tempest, Capper and Skystar! o.o A shame that Captain Celaeno couldn’t have been added along with them but still, pretty cool to see that particular trio regardless along with my girl Sunset ❤️ about time the main show acknowledged her importance to Twilight -.-

-Moving onto the big finale itself, “The Last Problem”, we cut ahead to I presume to be a couple decades or so since the last episode... where Twilight and her friends are all grown up and leading their own lives as Twilight’s pupil (Luster Dawn, was it?) comes to prepare herself for her own first friendship lesson. Surprisingly, unlike past finales it’s not so much a really heavy or action-packed episode but more of a “relaxing breather” kinda filler... yet still pushes the feels the more we get to see the aged-up cast and realize how this truly is the end for our heroes :(

-We’re also given a nice flashback to Twilight’s coronation as Equestria’s new leader, though it didn’t go according to plan it still provided some heartwarming feels to teach that friendships will always remain solid even if some end up moving far away. Awww ;w;.

-As for the “Grown up” designs themselves... I’m kinda torn, tbh lol

On one hand, I do like Rainbow’s, Fluttershy’s, and AJ’s older looks just fine. AJ’s especially gives me the feels looking at it ‘cause of the shawl... really hits in that poor Granny Smith is no longer around by this time :( at least she’ll always keep her memory strong in her heart ❤️

As for Twilight, Rarity, Spike and Pinkie... ehhhh ^^;. Rarity’s sparkly shawl is rather pretty though that big grey steak in her hair kinda clashes too much with the regular purple imo, Pinkie’s beehive look could’ve been fine if they just took out all that random junk in her hair, and while part of me kinda likes the “ethereal princess-y” vibes of Twilight (despite the rather dark implications that she’s gonna outlive her friends now ;-;)... the fact that she still sounds like her old dorky self when speaking kinda kills the effect for me... plus idk if only a couple decades in the future would be enough to make her this tall as an alicorn, I mean even Luna (who’s older than her) is alot shorter so it’s just a little off-putting to me to see her so “Celestia”-sized ^^;. And as for Spike... yeah, I don’t even know what’s going on there, so... let’s just move on, please lol.

So then we get to look over how everyone else in Ponyville’s doing, with so many new species living there now, some old kiddos grew up like the CMC and the Cake twins, Starlight and her friends (plus the Student 6) continuing to run the friendship school together, and apparently some canon couples started to thrive during this time too including Lyra and Bon Bon, Big Mac and Sugar Belle, and... Pinkie and Cheese? o.o

...Um, wow lol Wasn’t really expecting that considering that most of Cheese and Pinkie’s previous screentime together (which was only in like, two episodes?) wasn’t really that romantic from what I can recall, but guess the writers decided to just throw it in anyway ‘cause it’s a popular ship? lol I mean, not like it’s a bad one or anything but it still feels a bit randomly-placed in a narrative sense imo ^^;

Speaking of their daughter (Lil Cheese, I think?), while I do think she’s cute, part of me is kinda disappointed that they didn’t really get more creative with her design like they’ve done for Flurry Heart and the Cake twins :c. Color-wise she looks okay but... why just make her a recolor of her mom’s filly design? .-. Even putting her hair in some pigtails or something would’ve worked better imo.

-Some more design nitpicks I had were certain weirdly placed hairstyles like Pumpkin Cake’s and Diamond Tiara’s, as well as why Gummy the alligator just looks like he resized into a giant than legitimately grew into an adult lol. Also this might also be nitpicky but why exactly is everyone (minus Twilight) so old-looking with grayed hair and/or eye bags (ex. Rarity and Sugar Belle), when a couple of them have school-aged children at this point? .-. Hell, even most of the Mane 6′s parents didn’t look this old (including Twilight’s, and they’ve got a granddaughter lol), so I’m kinda confused by this type of design choice tbh.

-I don’t really remember if they explicitly stated what happened to the old princesses during this time since they didn’t show up again, nor what the final fates of Shining Armor and Cadence were (save for a brief shot of Flurry Heart having her own stain-glass window in the throne room). Idk, just would’ve been nice to have gotten more explicit about that ‘cause I don’t wanna think of these poor royals being gone now with just Twilight being the leader now ;-;

-I guess there was also a couple “implied” ships thrown in too like Fluttershy and Discord (though that one might be more “loose” to interpret, depending on how much you like the ship) and apparently AJ and Rainbow Dash seem to be having something “deeper” going on considering they specifically walked in together when all the other Mane 6 walked in individually into the throne room. Hmmm...?

-And lastly after a bit more filler and than a montage song of the Mane 6 harmonizing together one last time, we get to close off the entire episode, season, and series with one final shot of the heroes standing on a sunset-y hillside together, saying goodbye to Twilight’s student who goes off on her own friendship adventures... and then the screen fades to a book closing as a call back to the very first episode of the series over 9 years ago... where the exact same book opened up to start off our beloved show to begin with T-T

....aaaand yeah my feels exploded over again, sorry T-T. Despite the lil nitpicks I had here and there (and how I wish certain plot holes could’ve been handled better in hindsight), this was still a really sweet and thoughtful way to end MLP: FiM with one last batch of fluff like this... the end of a good 9-year run of the show which’ll surely leave a special place in every fan’s hearts, including mine ❤️

Though again, like I mentioned before I still won’t be considering any of this actually “canon” in the main universe I’m setting up, which is all basically an AU at this point since I haven’t really been keeping up with the show as frequently to care much for sticking with the main canon :p. For my fellow content creators, please don’t be afraid to keep working on your own next gens and such btw, even if some of it might be contradicted in this particular finale I’d say anyone is free to make their own interpretations however they want, canon or no canon~ ;p

Alien Personalties

OS only. AF will be in the next post.

This includes their personalities and sexualities/romantic....ities. I don’t know the world. (I got very tired around the end I’m v sorry, plus some of the characters haven’t been fully developed. My friend has helped me write a few of their personalities and she knows a few of them better than I as she wrote them out more.)

EDIT: I forgot Wildvine??? I??? Don’t??? Know how???

Heatblast - A flirt who has a sweet side, but fails to show it. Unintentionally like Heath Burns from Monster High, but he's often successful. Essentially, he's a mix of Heath Burns and Lance McClain. He's a goofball, but is a kind, caring guy underneath his flirty, 'charming' exterior. Along with that, he's bi! (Although, I should clarify, I know bi people are not all Lance McClains, they're all their own people, just as Heatblast is. Heatblast and Swampfire share a joke of fiery romantic passion, as I figured having the two fire-guys being as such would provide comedic relief)

Diamondhead - Calm, monotone, responsible, and mature. He's one of the few who acts as a leader, but tends to be the one to make more domestic deicisions. Such as who will be in charge of what sort of chores or something like that. Kind of like the mom from Coraline, the normal one, not the other mother. Also less . . . neglectful. He's married to Four Arms in the Guardian AU, but is only dating him in the high school au and TCFTO.

XLR8 - Energetic as can be, often thinks of himself as an edgy, scary raptor, but in reality . . . he's quite the opposite. Like a mashup of Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. Often, he is paired with Cannonbolt, who's the only one able to handle the Kinecelaren's sugar highs. An important thing to keep in mind: never give the dude any coffee. Ever. Another good comparison is Gregg from Night In The Woods. (Also he’s gay/ace!!)

Grey Matter - The most responsible out of everyone, and the most intelligent, especially techwise. He's often the one to come up with any battle plans, and usually best to go to to get educational help without petty comments. Also aroace. We deserve representation.

Four Arms - Unintentionally similar to @thisunknowngenius 's interpretations of him. He's angered easily, but finds comfort in those close to him. He's one of the oldest out of all of his friends, and 'takes repsonsibhility' in everyone. Quote on quote.

Ripjaws - Kind of like the common conception of a gamer, or like a mix of Markiplier and Cr1tikal. Has his moments of rage, but otherwise often seems like he's relaxed or lowkey deosn't really care about much of anything. That is until he becomes a victim of pranks, or Ghostfreak is around. They tend to not get along well. He’s straight but like hasn’t found himself the right person yet. He’s gonna find her.

Wildvine - A relaxed dude, with a love for gardening, because although I suppose it can be considered predictable, it’s too cute not to have it be an interest of his. He’s softspoken, contrary to his voice, and often adds a bit of sensibility to the crazed situations the aliens often find themselves in. Like a strange mix of Treehugger and Twilight Sparkle from MLP. Just don’t mess up his plants . . . he has a strange friendship with Ghostfreak. He’s panromantic and asexual.

Upgrade - Not much of a social butterfly, but a sweet person regardless. He’s a bit of a pushover, but mainly with more . . . aggressive people. Otherwise he’s good at standing up for himself. He and Ghostfreak are dating, being polar opposites it’s unexpected, but their relationship grew due to that.

Ghostfreak - Best described as the cliche, edgy, Hot Topic employee. To a certain degree. Ghostfreak sees himself as mysterious, dark, and gloomy. Regardless of his love for cake. He also sorta kills criminals who commit awful crimes. Don’t...don’t worry about it. (Also he’s severely a big sweetheart but only Upgrade ((and his mom Ayano)) know shhhh)

Ditto - I really can’t word it . . . he’s a lot like reboot Ben. That’s the best way I can describe him. He’s doesn’t really feel any attraction towards anyone in a romantic or anything like that, but he loves his family sm.

Cannonbolt - An extreme yet pleasant contrast to XLR8. He’s calm, quiet, almost motherly. He has his moments of sort of spazzing out, but otherwise is quite relaxed. He’s also quite the talented cook. He loves his scaly bf.

Snare-Oh - A mix of Cleo De Nile and Rainbow Dash. He’s actually from a high class family in the Guardian and High School AU, but hates it, and finds it limiting to just be given what he wants. Regardless, he has a love and strong desire for shiny things. He loves shiny things. So much. Also big tsundere. Pan boy.

Frankenstrike - Reserved. He’s very often kept to himself, but he’s nice regardless. He acts as a voice of reason often, and is the only who has to drag his Halloween fangtastic friends. A fellow aroace buddy!

Blitzwolfer - Sleepy. Tired. Nice though. Good. Joins Ghosty and Snare-Oh’s hijinks for the hell of it. If you’re at all familiar with Soul from Soul Eater (mainly in the early part of the series), he’s a good comparison.

Way Big - Big soft. Shyyyyy. So shy. He’s so nice tho. But um. He’s self conscious about his tolness. Ironic, I know. Sweet tho. When he finds people he can get attached to, he gets much more comfortable around them, even cracking a few jokes here and there. He’s pan. Also!!! Really!!! Likes!!! Pokémon!!! Highly unrelated but worth mentioning!!!

Halloween Fanfiction recommend

Time for another fanfiction recs list again. And what better way to do one about horror/dark fanfiction for the season. After looking through my favorite and fanfiction that scares me so much that I actually couldn't finish because I was so scared. Without any father delay let's get started. The Seven Hunters by The-Amazing-Rhombus I talk about this fanfiction before and you saw me draw fanart of it so I keep this short. Anyhow this focus on the Gang of Seven from the Land Before time tv show. Anyhow the story kicks when The Stone of Cold Fire (meteor) land in the Great Valley. They all decide to make a wish on the Stone of Cold Fire to have the power to defect Red Claw who was planning to destroy the Valley. At first, nothing happens but when they had a very weird dream they wake up to find out they're all fastbiter(raptors). As you can see this is where the horror show in because the characters are forced into a role of meat eaters and killers, that they have killed off some of their old kind in order to survive. And the fact that they are kids and there's a war going on makes this fanfic shine in the horror way. Give it a read a check it out. But Hard Reset manages to make it work so well, in the actionly horror light. This fanfiction stars Twilight in another changeling attack while she was in Canterlot. But she fails and dies in the process. Only to wake up before the changeling attack. As you can see this is time loop fanfic but unlike a lot of them this deal PTSD and suicidal thoughts. Really plays these themes really well. Check it out if you have time. Link: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/67362/hard-reset Freddy Fazbearland by Bat13SJx This is an Au of the Five Nights at Freddy's games where instead of taking place in a restaurant the setting is an amusement park. And instead of night guards as the main characters, is a bunch of kids. Now you can see the horror here. As a kid alone with a bunch of killing robots in an amusement park? Horrible. And the writing really shows the fear because as running away in fear, you feel every emotion these kids are going through. And the fact that one of the kids have a history of the park is playing out really well. The ending was bad and the grammar and spelling are not the best. But it's a good read. Check it out if you dare. Yep, this is a story about fearing the unknown kind of horror as Pinkie wake up one day with these weird lumps on her back. From there, things take a turn for the worse but no one is written out of character. Plus you always on the edge of your sent on where this is all going. There are clues so you do need to pay attention to what the characters are saying. Check it out and think for yourself. Link: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/142509/truth-be-told Rainbow Factory by AuroraDawn Ok in case someone doesn't know about Rainbow Factory here's the short version. Here Scottaloo takes the flight exam with her classmates, where you because of a full member of the flock and becomes a true pegasus. If you fail this test then you are kicked out of the flack and have to move out of Equestria. Scootaloo and her friend Orion look like they're going to make it until a pegasus name Aurora fail her flight exam and everything went downhill. Now there are problems with this fanfic and I won't talk about them until I do a review on this fanfic. But it does one thing right and it's horror and fear of being hurt by a loved one. So that's a bouse. And it was one of the first grimdark stories that inspired grimdark we know and love today in the mlp fandom. So I say give a read and think for yourself. Link: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/5381/rainbow-factory Dreams and Reality by illunaria Illunaria gives us a Gravity Falls fanfic that is disturbing. Mabel is back in Gravity Falls and Dipper is in college. Bill is also back and he has a new plan as well as an interesting in Mabel. This took the whole if a villain loves you then hates kind of fear. No character is written out of character and it used the mature to its advance. Children murder with Saw-like traps. That's Cheeilee's Garden in the nutshell. At less the first part. What makes different than all the other Saw-like fanfiction is that we see the mental breakdown of our main characters and the victims. It's a good read if can stomach it. What more can be said? Ok, there is a lot more than be said. Like the fact blends both fandoms just right, that it doesn't feel too out of place. Or that fact the characters in this fanfic were used well and reactions to the horror of Silent Hill is really good. That there is a sequel that better and has more horror. Murky the main character is not strong and a lot of times he finds himself in trouble but unlike lots of characters like this Murky does do stuff and helps out in his own way. The side characters and villains are really good and thought out characters. This story is a very long on and leaves off on really good cliffhangers. But I think you would find it very enjoyable. I was annoyed by the Agents Of Shield fandoms behavior for a while, but I’ve never stopped liking any fandoms because of Tumblr.

SuperWhoLock, Riverdale...some other popular teen shows.

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

Tie between Sailor Moon and Gambit I guess, but I’m sure there are lots of others. Sailor Jupiter has a good arc as well, even though she doesn’t have a lot of character development TBH.

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)

Roberto Dacosta’s super strength power is pretty cool and he’s a chill guy. And rich. (I just realized that a lot of X-Men characters are rich, actually. Gambit, Xavier, Warren and him. Holy crap.)

Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Moon. TAS Rogue too, because she seems fun to hang with, and who wouldn’t like to be called “Sugah” all the time?

For any fandom? A mad scientist and a famous baker get together after the scientist contacts aliens, resulting in a warring invasion on earth.

Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.

To be perfectly honest, The Smurfs because we’re a Christain household and we found it had stuff in it we didn’t agree with. I was three. Other than that, I’ve only given up one other fandom permenantly that wasn’t what I thought it was and chosen at a bad time.

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

Kurt and Kitty in Evo, and Logan and Kurt is cool, but I don’t actually pay much attention to it.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

Hmmm. One that isn’t too boring? Remy isn’t (wasn’t? He is married now) particular about a woman’s height and is comfortable enough with himself to date a woman much taller or shorter than he is. (Remember, Frenzy was freaking 6′7 before she got rebooted to a normal height and it was implied they had history.) For a while it was a wish of mine they’d pair him with a short gal, because all X-women are physically clones of each other, minus Rahne, Kitty and Jubilee. Blargh. Oooh, just had an idea for a new art project to make the girls look individual! ^_^

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

Besides the above? Uh...headcannon that Remy smells good and his hair is silky to the touch and yes I’m a sick, weird little person, I know. Haha, not really. I’m not much of a headcannon person.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

* Gambit: Hot, suave, lit, accent, good cook, romantic, my fictional ideal man (told you, I’m sick and weird). * Sailor Jupiter: Sweet, loyal, living on her own at bloody 14 years old, strong physically and emotionally, had trouble believing/finding her feminity like me, tall (not like me!), brunette character, thunder powers. * Tuvok (Star Trek): My second crush ever, calm, reflective, hot grandpa, sarcasm galore, strong, suffers emotionally and physically, POC and like the only black vulcan that I know of, cute little boy chest, that butt (XD), frakin’ hot.

V - Which character do you relate to most?

Surprisingly, one I haven’t talked about yet and that I’m not really fandom-y about. Rapunzel from Tangled. When I saw the movie, I was attached to her immediately. I’d grown up homeschooled and at that point I’d been caregiving for one of my parents for six years at that point, unable to move out and get married and have much of a life, so I was always metaphorically in a tower too. I have childish interests, am artistic and creative, have done LOTS of self-insert art like her, and am a generally happy person (even if I don’t always show it and don’t smile enough). So, out of every character in my many fandoms, I relate to Rapunzel the most. Also, I have only 2 things of Tangled merch-the movie, the soundtrack, and a gorgeous bedspread that’s actually based on the show, but doesn’t look like it. (I don’t like it’s animation/character designs, so it’s been hard to get into it.)

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.

OMG, do we have to go here? Anything over-sexualized or kinky or just plain gross/weird. (v***, gore, ect.) There’s this one X-Men:Evo artist on DA that would be brilliant, but I can’t stomach their gallery because they feel the need to do a few v*** and bondage pics amongst otherwise G-rated pictures. *throws up* IT’S A SHOW FOR 7-YEAR OLDS!!

X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.

Huge guy, Tiny girl! (but it looks...weird...in live action. *Good Luck Charlie flashbacks*.) Also age differences. Some people are put off by Usagi and Mamo’s age difference in Classic, but I think it’s cute and they were really chaste about it. Specifically, I liked the part where he told her to do well in school for some reason.

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)? Holy crap, Pride and Prejudice and Anne of Green Gables. No one on my dash is into them though, it’s a real life thing. Long story.

Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)

I have written more self-inserts than is probably healthy, but at least I’ve mostly gotten past my teenage phase of thinking anime guys are hot and it’s extended to Gambit as well. I’d much rather see him be portrayed by a living, breathing actor semi-bringing my fantasies to life than as a drawn character. Well, not that I’m not happy seeing him animated and his voice in Evo is still super hot, but that’s another thing. Anyway, on that note, I wish XM:E weren’t a dead fandom and I could get more reviews instead of just faves/follows. I get so frustrated, because I’m not writing my fics for myself, I’m writing them to finish the story and for the fans. I know OCs/SI aren’t everyones bread and butter, but when you work hard on something, you want people to enjoy and appreciate it on it’s own merits. My regulars dropped off the planet and the fandom is just not that active online. (It’s still kind of active though, otherwise the Gambit and other prints on Steven Gordon’s online store wouldn’t have sold out so fast.) I wish it had been as creative as the MLP fandom, but even that wouldn’t have saved it. Thankfully, there are a few people “keeping the faith”, like Coldfusion180 and some others. They haven’t abandoned it and people have made AMVs for it in recent years, long after the shows cancellation. I know we’ve all moved on in one way or another, but it’s still nice to see the love for the show and it’s characters going strong, even if we’re now a niche fandom, tiny, but there. And even if I don’t get another single review up until the last in the series, at least I can say I finished it, if nothing else. Even if your fandom is dead, keep supporting it. If we don’t keep the characters alive, they die and are forgotten. They need us.

Be respectful! Do not disrespect my muse or myself out of character. I will not tolerate it. I will not roleplay with you if i even feel a hint of disrespect towards me or my muse. I wouldn’t disrespect you or your muses so please be polite and refrain from doing it to me. However if your muse disrespects mine in roleplay, that’s is completely acceptable as it is an interaction between our muses.

Be patient! I have a life outside of the internet. I am a real human being and not some roleplaying machine.

Mun and muses ARE NOT THE SAME ENTITY! While my muses are of my own creation (in a sense) I do not always share their beliefs and or their attitude. I have my own beliefs and attitude, so please establish that we are not the same people.

Roleplay Laws

Read the information on the character you will be role playing with. That way you can be informed on the character you will be dealing with!

No smutting with minors! It’s illegal, i do not want to go to jail. It’s rude, irresponsible and puts not only you, but me as well at risk. You will get a slap on the wrist most likely. But me? Ill be on the sex offender registry and my ENTIRE LIFE WILL BE RUINED BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO BE SELFISH. So don’t do it. I don’t care if your muse finds mine sexy and they wanna get it on. If you are under the legal age of consent. DON’T FUCKING DO IT. you CAN RUIN AN ADULTS LIFE FOREVER. if i catch you lying, i will BLOCK YOU!

I WILL NOT RP SMUT WITH ANY MLP BLOGS/ GRAVITY FALL BLOGS/ STEVEN UNIVERSE BLOGS/ OR ANY OTHER CHILDREN’S SHOW BLOGS IN THE LIKE. THESE SHOWS ID LIKE TO KEEP CLEAN AND INNOCENT LIKE THEY WERE MEANT TO BE. (although i am open to suggestions of fighting because all have shown that and for a few maybe even death/ slight horror. BUT ASK FIRST.)

NO GODMODDING! It really shouldn’t need to be said but oh well. My character is my own, I CONTROL IT ONLY. The same for you and your muse. However suggestions or a push in a certain direction is fine. Such as “lets go so and so” I grabbed their hand and excitedly pulled them along.” This at least allows for the other person to respond to what’s being done. What is not ok would be something like this. “So and so kissed my muse and they wendt on a date.” this is not ok because you are giving my muse Orders. Only I can order them around. If i feel you doing this the roleplay will be terminated immediately.

No Instakills or permadeaths! I don’t like that shit. If we are gonna fight, i want a good fight, a fair fight, and unless otherwise talked out by both parties and agreed upon your muse, no matter how friggen strong or OP or whatever! can instantly kill or keep my muse dead. Understood? Because if this happens I will immediately terminate the roleplay. Be literate! Please check all grammar, spelling and tenses before posting. Roleplays should be easily understood by both parties. I have a hard time with my tenses so i will do my best to work on that! If roleplays can not be understood then i will cease roleplaying.

Please try to match length! I write a FUCKTON and i do not expect you to match it entirely, i do expect that you have at least a well written paragraph that notes all major points. I will however ask that you make an attempt to match my length, but it is not a requirement. However please let it be noted that if you respond with boring one liners or tiny meatless paragraphs i will cease to roleplay with you.

I prefer to plot! Drop me an I.M and let’s plan ahead what will happen. It’s not necessary but i do prefer it. So just assume i want to plot. However if you wanna throw a meme at me and go from there, that’s fine too.

Please let me know if you want to drop a thread! Now you don’t have to give me a reason, but letting me know you are no longer interested would be highly appreciated. I will delete the thread after being notified so i can keep my blog clutter free. I will also notify you with a reason so as not to seem rude that I want to drop a thread.

Do not bug me for responses/be patient! As i stated above I have a life outside of the internet. I am not a roleplaying machine. If i do not get to your response in a timely manner it’s is likely one of these reasons. A. Life is hectic B. my mental health is not doing well and I need a break. C. I am really engaged with a certain muse and mun so i am putting them as priority. D. I just plain forgot. If you feel like i’ve forgotten drop me an I.M with either your latest response to our thread or a “hey i think it might be your turn to respond.” if however you continually pester me i will drop or ignore the thread. In return do not force yourself to reply immediately. Take your time and enjoy it, let it flow naturally. Shit happens my man, and i get it.

Do not force relationships! I can’t stress enough how INFURIATING it is when people try to force friendships and or relationships with my muses. These things don’t always happen instantaneously, they take time. People need to get to know each other before relationships are established. Let them happen naturally, if they happen. If muses have chemistry it will happen. If they don’t then, they don’t. Not to say that instant friends and love at first sight can’t happen, because it can, but it is exceedingly rare. So don’t force it. If you do, or i feel you are I will first respond through the character, then I.M and if it’s still happening i will terminate the roleplay altogether.

Smut is ok! If your muse and my muse are vibing and they wanna get it on that is entirely alright to do. I will post smut in read mores and i go into HIGHLY DETAILED posts. I will also tag it as nsfw until the smut is over. That being said please abide by the following rule. My muse is not a fleshlight/dildo! If i feel you coming to me solely to smut with my muses with no established relationship or even having talked it out with me first then you will be ignored. My muses are not your sexuall toys to play with. I like diversity in my roleplays and I like CHEMISTRY even for smutty rps. Now it’s one thing if both muns agree that our muses would get along sexually immediately. Otherwise, don’t come to me for smut only. If you do you will be ignored. If you persist, you will be blocked.

Gore/mutilation/torture/death is alright! Just come and talk to me first beforehand so we can plot it out. I don’t like sudden losses of limbs or physical harm. I like to be aware of what your muse is going to do with mine.

(I know that shit goes on with people under the ages of 18, because i did it and so did everyone else.) because I’m getting excited about bronycon (august, baby!!), have a brony au with our favorite boys!

(and please, no hating on mlp or bronies, this is just for fun)(also, warning: super long!!)

the boys all got into mlp at various times. it was kind of like dominos - once one started watching it out of curiosity by it’s popularity, another one would catch them in the act. chirps would inevitably ensue, but days later the theme song would be heard, barely at a possible decibel for the human ear, from the same guy’s room. and on it went, until a lecture from a very loud, drunk shitty about society’s expectations on men and saying “fuck you” to the system forced them to ponder on their shame for watching a show for little girls. they came to the conclusion - who the fuck cares? they were allowed to enjoy whatever they wanted as long as it didn’t hurt anybody, and it was a good show. this allowed them to get more comfortable with the idea and finally watch the show together in the living room on saturday mornings.

eventually when they become big enough fans, they realize bronycon is happening in baltimore, maryland - a mere 6 hours from samwell! (boston, really). and of course, if they’re going to be going, they need to create cosplays!!

obviously, bitty is the quintessential pinkie pie. with his zest for life, baking, and parties galore, he embodies her persona. in his pink short shorts, pink button down over a cutie mark t-shirt, and ridiculously patterned knee socks, he zips around the convention like a butterfly, charming everyone he meets. he also brings pies to share with the convention-goers that don’t want to pay $10 for a piece of pizza. he likes to go the social media forums such as Equestria Daily as well as the YouTubers, to learn how to make himself an even bigger online presence.

jack never really got into MLP like everyone else did, but he definitely appreciates the messages. he watches episodes as background noise to his studying or hockey-play creating, and thinks about the kids he taught in pee-wee hockey and how much they’d like this show. he’s not entirely sure the names of all the ponies (the pink one is definitely Pinkie Pie, right? And the rainbow one is Rainbow Fast? or something) but the boys beg him to join them and he acquiesces. they dub him applejack, the down to earth pony who doesn’t take crap from anyone and is as strong as a bull. he is a great foil to everyone else’s crazy antics, and he’s happy to take as many photos as possible of all the great costumes and crowds. (and the boys forgive him when he looks at his fake tail tucked into his jeans and asks “who am I again?” mostly because in a cowboy hat and boots he is knocking everyone dead). oh, and freckles, ya’ll.

lardo, to no one’s surprise, immediately claims rainbow dash. they all argue for a bit because EVERYONE wants to be rainbow dash, but with a lift of her eyebrow the decision is finalized. she goes all the way and dyes her hair all the colors of the rainbow, claiming she had wanted to do it for awhile. she rocks a letterman jacket with rainbow’s cutie mark as well as sneakers and some cute gym shorts. she goes to the art panels as well as those that teach artists how to break into cartooning and such. it’s not her usual type of art, but it’s always good stuff to know.

ransom becomes the show’s star herself, twilight sparkle. with his anxiety about school and need to be the best in all things education, he is the best to capture twilight’s adorkable nature. plus, with his connections to everyone on campus and his innumerable facebook friends, he the best candidate for the princess of friendship. in his purple sweater vest and fake wings he scours the marketplace for rare merchandise. he is definitely the collector of the group, collecting mostly adult merchandise that should not be played with, such as the funko figurines. seriously, holster once tried to touch them. he will not make that mistake again.

holster, for his part, makes a great rarity. he claims to be the “fashionista” of the group, for his part in constantly trying to throw out ransom’s salmon shorts. everyone loudly disagrees, many stating he has the fashion sense of a white jock, but he holds his head high, dammit! it also helps that he plays piano, as rarity plays a key-tar in equestria girls. the group is horribly split between those who think of eqg as canon and those who don’t. he wears a white suit vest and pants with a purple shirt underneath, and goes to all the forums with the horse-famous as the key speakers because he idolizes them.

shitty, for his part, makes an extremely loud fluttershy. while not even in the vicinity of the same personality group, he extols fluttershy’s virtues as one of the characters with the most personality development in the show, and will tell anyone who will listen that he is an advocate for the shy and those who feel like doormats. in a yellow crop top with her cutie mark and a pink skirt, he draws crowds with his soapbox speeches and wild flowing hair. he likes to go to forums with the show’s creators and directors to ask questions about feminism, the matriarchy, and bronyhood. and for the love of god do NOT let him out on the streets, because he will confront any scoffing bystander with the question “does this threaten your fragile masculinity?!”

the frogs don’t actually go to bronycon, but the boys coerce them into dressing up as the cutie mark crusaders for a photoshoot before the con. dex is the long suffering apple bloom, arguably the leader of the group and the one most down to earth. chowder gets to be the sweet and excitable sweetie belle, while nursey is the talented but disabled scootaloo. the pictures start out nice, but quickly devolve into pictures of the three of them squabbling and falling over each other in an attempt to tug at each other’s pigtails. so, it actually turned out perfect.

imagine everyone’s surprise when they are walking through the con and come across tango and whisky as derpy and starlight glimmer, respectively. tango gets excited, asking “when did you get here? are you having fun? when did you make your costumes? do you like my costume? I’m derpy! well technically i’m muffins but I don’t like that they changed the name because it was completely unnecessary-”

whiskey just looks mortified and mutters a gruff “hello.” the boys sense his discomfort and comment on his outfit, ripped jeans and a t-shirt with starlight’s logo on it. it's interesting that he’s dressed as one of the most controversial characters on the show, though no one points that out.

and finally, when a few years have passed and jack and kent have become friendly again, kent insists on joining them for the next convention as sunset shimmer. “it’s ironic and fitting! plus she’s a fucking badass!” since he and jack are both famous in the NHL now their pictures are taken constantly, kent is not afraid to flirt with the camera. it’s a controversial topic in the sports world because of the oddity, but he takes it in stride and it goes a long way for help people come to terms with bronies.

after all, what are they but people who are fans of a show with cute ponies, a great message and engaging characters?
