Le godétia en fleurs

présentation

Le godétia est une plante annuelle faisant partie de la famille des Onagracées. On l'appelle également fleur de satin ou bien encore Clarkia qui est son nom scientifique. Il s'agit d'une plante originaire d'Amérique du Nord. Suivant l'espèce cultivée, le godétia mesure d'une vingtaine de centimètres à un mètre de hauteur. Il peut s'utiliser en bordure, en massif ou bien encore en potée. Vous pouvez effectuer de magnifiques bouquets avec les variétés de haute taille. Sa floraison s'étale du mois de juin au mois de juillet.

Vous pouvez semer le godétia soit à la saison printanière (avril/mai) ou bien à la saison automnale (dans le courant du mois de septembre). A noter que le godétia ne supporte pas les transplantations. Pour éviter ce genre de problème, je vous conseille de le semer en godet. De cette manière, le système racinaire ne souffrit pas lors du repiquage. Quand les jeunes plantules possèdent plusieurs feuilles (4 à 5), c'est le moment de les mettre en place en mai/juin. Pour les semis effectués à la saison automnale, il est préférable de les installer dans des godets plus grands afin de faire patienter tout ce petit monde jusqu'à la saison printanière. Choisissez au godétia un emplacement ensoleillé voire avec une légère ombre sur un sol frais, fertile, souple et surtout bien drainé. Espacez chaque sujet d'une bonne vingtaine de centimètres.

entretien

Le godétia est une plante facile à vivre. Son entretien est modéré. Supprimez les fleurs fanées au fur et à mesure. En période de pleine croissance, apportez-lui un engrais naturel pour plantes fleuries. Arrosez-le copieusement pendant les périodes chaudes de la saison estivale. Vous devez tuteurer les variétés de haute taille si elles sont exposées au vent.

The seeds need relatively steady humidity. If you are in a drier climate, put the container in a plastic bag to keep the air humid for the seeds. 5. Place the container in an area with full sun. The seeds usually take 3-4 weeks to germinate but they may sometimes take longer than that to sprout. The seedlings need consistent moisture and good air circulation. 6. Clarkia concinna is a type of wildflower known as red ribbons. It is native to the state of California in the United States, where it can be found in the low mountains in the northern part of the state. It is an annual herb with an erect, herbaceous stem. The distinctive flowers have four-loop sepals of red or dark pink, resembling silk ribbon loops. Its longer, pink petals often have three lobes with white stripes.
