Another attempt to create homes based on the San Francisco Bay Area. This time it's from Daly City. Also attempting to do a split level of sorts.

I continue to be perplexed why all of the lots in San Sequoia are wide and shallow instead of skinny and deep like every real property around here. Drives me bonkers.

Call of the Horizon Day

When you go out into the country and gaze across a flat field, or sit at the edge of the ocean or a large lake, the point at which the earth and the sky seem to meet can be seen. Do you ever wonder what is out there waiting beyond the horizon? Do you ever feel like it is calling you to go on an adventure or to explore? Call of the Horizon Day is all about the feeling you get from looking into the distance at the horizon and into the unknown. It is about dreaming big and moving and adventuring, both physically and mentally. It’s a day to seize these dreams and to plan how you will make them happen.

How to Observe

Celebrate the day by driving or walking out to a place where you can see the horizon. You will likely have to go out into the country and find a flat area or look across a large body of water. Bring along a notebook, and write down anything that comes to your mind that you’d like to pursue. Is there a place you’ve been meaning to visit? Is there a project you would like to start, or a hobby you’d like to try? Jot down whatever the horizon seems to be calling you to do. Then spend the rest of the day beginning to plan how you will seize your dreams.

“It was probably more challenging on this tour, the one I just finished, only because there wasn’t a load of tempo on Walls so we kind of had to create those exciting live moments ourselves. I think the difficult thing for this next tour will be picking which songs stay because I’ll probably do the majority if not all of the new record. So that only leaves room for like maybe 3 or 4 from Walls.”

Bay Area snow photos: rare winter storm transforms California landscape

The conditions are right across many parts of California to get snow on Thursday and Friday.

Cold air from the Arctic is combining with ocean moisture and will result in snow. The only question is how much will fall.

It was more than just a fluke dusting. Many areas found snow piling up to six inches.

First thing in the morning I decided to drive to Costco to get fuel. Awesome. They opened earlier than six so I parked myself and wait at the warehouse. At 8:45 I exited the truck and started walking toward the warehouse. No fewer than three people tried to run me over in the parking lot.

Another lady almost creamed some guy in a motorized wheelchair.

And just now a vendor for Costco in their step van, powered past the tire shops running over a bright orange traffic cone meant to block one of the bays …ironically for safety.

Seriously; what the ʞɔnɟ is wrong with this area and humanity in general?
