it was a night out for the arsenal girlies, you had just won the women’s league cup. a few of the girls decided to hang out at a bar before heading over to your shared apartment with gio.

think of it like an after-party, except it’s arsenal addition. they’ll be games, snacks, mixed with a bit of movie night. from the mirror you looked at gio who already had her eyes on you.

it hasn’t been that long since you’ve started dating, it’s actually reaching your sixth month with gio. you were actually housemates, before she had gotten the courage to ask you out on a date.

maybe it was the way you were the introverted one of the pair. you often found solace or comfort in the books you’d read, the music you’d listen to on a rainy night, or the movies you’d have a marathon on an off day.

either way, she was utterly in love with the way you are. how your nose scrunches when you see something you dislike, the way your eyebrows would furrow when you’re concentrated, how your hands would go in a circular motion when you’re about to sneeze.

it was the little things that made her fallen in love with you. she was the first one to say those three words. you had panicked because you weren’t ready to say those three words, and she understood that as you came from an abusive relationship.

“you look cute, love.” you said, as gio looked a bit flustered that she got caught. she had a hand on her neck, awkwardly rubbing it as you chuckled at her reaction.

“guess what the fans say is true, you’re such a simp.” you teased, as gio chuckled at your words. it was true, the fans would tease gio as she was very smitten by you.

they’d caught her asking if you need anything after playing a full game of 90 minutes, or how she’d give you a bottle of electrolytes when you’re both sitting on the bench. acts of service was definitely her love language, while yours was quality time.

“only for you, my pretty girl.” gio said, her voice was much closer as she wrapped her arms around your waist. you felt her breath hit the back of your neck, as you shivered.

“always so cheesy.” you said, placing down the blush that you used. you were wearing a high waist trousers that completed your look with a white blouse.

“but you love it.” gio said, placing a soft kiss on your neck as you hummed. you didn’t deny it, you loved it when she’d do this cheesy pick up lines, or when she’d say something that’s cheesy. it was cute, and it certainly made your heart skip a beat when she’d give you a gummy smile.

you turned around and looked in her eyes, that held so much adoration for you. it was like, if you were in a crowded room, you’ll be the only one she’d look for.

“i love you, gio.” you saw her eyes widened, as you gave her a soft smile.

“are you ready to say it?” she asked, as you gave her a soft nod. her smile had brightened as she peppered your face with kisses, you laughed at her affection.

“thank you for being extremely patient with me.” she gave you a small smile, before kissing the crown of your head.

“always.” she said, as she grabbed your hand swinging it.

“now i believe we have to get to the bar, our teammates would be wondering where we are.” gio said, as you gave her chuckled knowing she didn’t want to be late. even though you guys were already late.

“shall we?” you asked, as gio lead you out of the apartment, opening the passenger door as you gave her a kiss on the cheek.

the ride to the bar wasn’t that far, you were about to open the car but gio stopped you. she had swiftly gotten out of the driver’s seat and closed the door, before rushing to your door and opening it.

“such a gentlewoman, aren’t you” gio gave you a soft nod before kissing your forehead.

“do you even have to ask at this point, love?” she was right, she’d always help you. she’d carry your kit bag, open your water bottles if you can’t open them, give you her hoodie when you’re feeling cold and etc.

“you’re right.” she locked the car, before she grabbed your arm placing it around hers.

“cling onto me, yeah? i know you don’t like crowded places.” gio said, as you gave her a soft smile. she always knew the things you disliked.

the night was pretty fun, you had gotten a few drinks but it wasn’t enough to make you drunk. the team decided to skip the going to your shared apartment as they had enough drinks.

the day for the two of you ended up cuddling in your bed. you wore an old jersey of hers, followed by nike shorts.

“you look good with my last name on the back.” gio said, as she traced patterns on your exposed stomach.

“i always look good.” you gave her a cheeky look as she chuckled, you were right. in her eyes, you’re the most beautiful one she’s ever seen.

“let’s sleep, now? you have a long day ahead.” gio said, as you hummed. your head was placed on her chest, you heard the way her heart had beat a bit faster than usual.

“sure, love.” you were the first one to fall asleep, you had moved around in your sleep so she was able to see your face.

she tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, before giving you a kiss on the nose.

“night, and i love you.” gio said, before she fell asleep as well.

Puffer

It was cold. San Antonio winter was never that bad, but for some unknown reason, it decided to rage harder than normal this year. I had on one of Puffer’s hoodies, sweatpants, and fuzzy socks, and I was under a thick blanket. Yet I was still freezing. I was going to have to take some drastic measures.

I would need to get out of my cocoon to find Puffer.

Thankfully, I did not have to wait long as Puffer walked out of his office and climbed into my mountain of blankets. I immediately buried my face in his chest since he was a literal heater. He just chuckled before wrapping his arms around my shoulders and rubbing my arms to generate heat while his attention turned toward the show I had playing on the TV.

My hands were still freezing, so with a smirk, I moved my hands under Puffer’s hoodie and placed them flat on his back.

“Aye, woah!” He shouted, pushing me away. “You’re hands are freezing!”

“Why do you think I put them on your back?” I asked as if it were obvious. He just looked at me in disbelief, keeping me an arm’s width away. “Please? As my boyfriend, it is your responsibility to be my personal heater and right now you're doing a shitty job.”

“Fine get over here,” he sighed, pulling me back into his chest. I chuckled as I put my hands back under his hoodie and wrapped my legs around his waist, putting almost my entire body weight on him. He shook his head with a laugh before whispering, “You’re lucky I love you.”

“Awe, you love me?” I teased, looking up at him.

“Don’t make me take it back,” he threatened.

“You loving me or letting me put my cold hands up your shirt?”

“Both.”

“Well then, I was going to say I love you too, but I don’t like how you threatened me,” I joked as I slowly started to pull away.

“Oh shut up,” He pressed, pulling me straight back to his chest as he held one of my arms, so I couldn’t tear my hands out of his shirt.

“And I’m the clingy one?”

Pezzy

Pezzy was streaming. It was a really random steam because he was bored. I was visiting my family since my sister just had her baby, so I was helping them out for the week. Pezzy wasn’t able to come with me, so I promised to send him loads of pictures.

“Guys, guess what,” He asked rhetorically to chat as he smiled at his phone. The chat started spamming random answers or emotes, so he flipped his phone around to show them. It was a picture I sent him of my outfit for dinner. “Look at them, chat. They’re so cute. They’ve been visiting their family, so they’ve sent me pictures every day.”

Immediately, the chat started filling with heart eyes, jokes about how I’m hot, or calling Pezzy a simp. He saw those immediately, and despite me calling him a simp all the time, he took offense to his chat picking up on it.

“Guys, I am literally not a simp. I am actually not a simp. I just love my significant other. So what?” Pezzy said fast as chat filled with more simp-related messages. He took a deep breath before shouting, “Guys, stop calling me a simp!”

I decided this would be a good time to call him since I was watching the stream on my laptop before dinner. I dialed his number and waited for him to answer as I continued to watch him frantically explain himself to chat.

“Guys, stop. Look, they’re calling me now! They’ll tell you I’m not a simp,” the stream audio came through just as Pezzy picked up the phone and greeted me.

Knowing he put me on speaker, I decided to tease him a little, “Hi my favorite simp. How’s your stream?”

“Not you too!” He shouted, taking the phone off the speaker as the chat started sending laughing emotes. “I swear, you’re watching the stream aren’t you?’

“Can’t I just call my favorite simp and tell him I love him too?” I asked innocently.

“I never said that,” He replied quickly, not believing that he confessed he loved me in front of five thousand people.

“I think chat has a clip somewhere,” I laughed.

“Chat if you can find a clip where I said I love Y/n, I’ll stream with them next week,” Pezzy said over the stream, and that’s when I noticed he hung up on me. It didn’t take long for chat to start spamming a link to the clip, causing Pezzy to sigh. “Ok, maybe I am a simp.”

Droid

My eyes burned so much. One thing that no one told you about Lasik surgery was the first couple of hours after. My eyes burned so much, and I could not tell if it was from the surgery or from the lights in the kitchen. Droid promised to take care of me but completely forgot that Puffer, Pezzy, and Grizzy were coming over to film a cooking video in our new house, so that is where they were. The plan was a one-handed challenge, but it turned into a ‘make the best food for Y/n, so they don’t have to feel guilty that they’re disrupting their recovery’ stream.

“Is it pasta?” I asked as I walked into the kitchen with my eyes closed to get my antibiotics. I started patting around the counter, trying to find the bottle without opening my eyes. Droid saw my struggle, so he stopped cutting the chicken to wipe off his hands before grabbing the bottle from the cabinet. He opened it, dumped out one pill, and grabbed a glass to fill it with water before handing it to me. “Thank you.”

“No problem, and yes. Chicken Alfredo,” He answered, taking the glass and putting it in the sink once I finished it. “We’re actually almost done, so I’ll bring it over to the table.”

I groaned as I leaned forward where I thought Droid was. Apparently, he was not there, but he jumped back in front of me just in time for me to collide with his chest. “Do I have to do a taste test for the stream?”

“You don’t have to if you don’t want to,” he whispered, walking backward to get us out of frame.

“They’ll be mad at me,” I whined, starting to tear up before trying to calm down and not irritate my eyes more than they already are.

“They’ll understand,” He reassured. “You just had surgery today, and you are not 100 percent, so they won’t be upset if you don’t feel up to a full review.”

“I don’t deserve you,” I cried, leaning further into his chest. “I love you. Thank you for putting up with me.”

“I love you too,” He laughed. “You’ve dealt with me through crazier shit! This is nothing!”

Grizzy

“What time did you guys get to the airport?” Fitz asked after we got to the Misfits’ house in Melbourne. We had to fly into Melbourne because we were attending PAX AUS, and knew it would be fun to come a couple of days earlier to hang out with our friends. However, the universe had different plans.

“4 AM Pacific,” Grizzy groaned, collapsing on the couch and pulling me down after we dropped our bags off in one of the rooms. “We had an overnight layover in LA, but the original flight was delayed. We just slept at the airport 'cause it was only like two hours before we would’ve needed to be back at the airport.”

“Those chairs were not comfy,” I complained as I curled up on Grizzy’s lap. I yawned as I leaned into Grizzy’s neck, attempting to hide my drowsiness from the guys. “I couldn’t sleep at all.”

“It’s a good thing we don’t have anything till tomorrow,” Swagger laughed as he walked in from the back patio. “You can chill out 'cause I bet the time difference didn’t help either.”

“No, it does not, and to make it worse, there was hella turbulence on the way over,” Grizzy added as he offhandedly ran his fingers through my hair. “We couldn’t sleep at the airport, couldn’t sleep on the plane, and now it’s technically four hours earlier than what we’re used to. This is shit.”

At some point during his rant, I gave in to the temptation of sleep. No one noticed until Toby came into the room.

“Why are you cunts talking so loud?” She asked. “Y/n is literally asleep.” With that, the room’s attention flipped to me. No one said anything for a couple of seconds, unsure of what to say until Grizzy started to stand up with me in his arms.

“I’ll take them to our room. It’s probably a good idea for us to get some sleep,” Grizzy whispered. “Dinner tonight, yeah?” The guys just nodded, so Grizzy took that and left the room.

When he walked into the room, he immediately set me on the bed, so he could set an alarm for later in the afternoon and changed both of us into comfier clothes. Just before he climbed into bed with me, I woke up slightly, not really recognizing where we were.

“We’re in our room. The guys said we’ll go to dinner later, but we can sleep for now,” Grizzy explained in a soft tone.

“Okay, I love you, Grizzy,” I whispered back and fell back asleep.

“I love you too.”

Chapter 8 / Masterlist

Hey guys, just letting you know after the epilogue I won’t be posting on this account anymore! I’ll keep it up for a while though. It’s been what, a little less than a year? About eight months, I think. I still have these bone chilling dreams about Billy & Stu. One minute we’ll be close, watching a movie like Friday the 13th, Pieces, Maniac, or even Sleepaway Camp. Next I’ll hear the phone ring. Quickly I’ll say, “I’ll get it,” and move myself off the couch leaving a space between them. The person on the line will say, “Hello (y/n), it’s been a while,” instantly I could recognize it as Ghostface. Looking back at the couch the boys would be gone, no trace of them ever there. “Who is this?” I’ll ask, even though I know the answer all too well. I’d hear a laugh on the other line before being yanked back into someone’s arms. Looking at who it is I’ll be filled with dread just seeing the masked killer as they raise the knife over their head. Suddenly I’m being pulled away by a blood covered Stu saying, “We have to get help!” When I look back for the murderer we stop at a door…

Looking forward I’ll see the deranged killer in the stark white mask yet again but this time he’s taking it off to reveal himself as Billy looking in my direction with a Kubrick Stare. “We all go a little mad sometimes,” he says before raising a gun that barely misses me. That’s when I realize it’s not me he’s aiming for. The person he does shoot changes every time, it could be; Sidney, Tatum, Casey, Steve, or even Principal Himbry… but they say the same thing each time, “Save me (y/n),” before they bleed out on the floor. Next thing I knew both Billy and Stu come charging at me, tossing me to the ground. They’ll hold me down as they run the Buck 120 knife all along my body. It’s so vivid, I can feel the chilling alloy steel grazing my skin all the way from my jaw in my abdomen. They whisper nonsensical things in my face. And when one of them raises the knife above their head and plunge it into my body, everything just goes white.

“Hey, earth to (y/n)?” I hear Randy call me from the counter.

“Hm? What’s up?” I asked, snapping my head in his direction leaving my thoughts behind.

“You’ve been staring at the shelf for almost fifteen minutes,” He complains

“Guess there’s just too good of a selection?” I said with a false smile and a shrug.

“Yeah sure, just up and pick a movie,” Randy said, rolling his eyes.

“Jeez did anyone ever tell you that patience is a virtue?” I laughed out as I snatch up a copy of Amityville Horror.

“Still staying away from slashers?” Randy asks, a sympathetic look in his eyes.

“Yeah, they just remind me too much of that night…” I said, look down and scratching my arm.

“anyways...What are you and your dad gonna do tonight?” He asked, trying to change the subject.

“Hmm? Oh Neil just wanted to stay in and watch some movies, maybe order some pizza?”

“He adopted you over half a year ago, start calling him Dad for once!” Randy said, cackling at his own words.

“Yeah yeah whatever, see ya later!” I shouted as I left the store.

So much has happened since October of last year. The day after ‘That Night’ Neil told me about what Stu and Billy did to my mom. It was just Neil and I from then on so he decided that I should officially be his daughter! Neither of us see it as replacing Sid or my own parents, if anything we see it as a better way to remember them and keep them close. The town held a mass memorial for all of the victims. The individual funerals were hell. I just wanted to say goodbye to my friends, my mother and my sister but there were reporters and news vans at every turn.

It’s never been the same after I not only lost Tatum and Sindey but also… Stu and Billy. I get it, I shouldn’t have anywhere near a soft spot for those two but I do. I don’t excuse anything they did because it tore apart everything that made me happy in the world. That doesn’t mean I don’t see why they did it. Billy was hurt and driven mentally insane once his mother abandoned him because of the affair. And Stu, at the same time he might be a spoiled rich kid but he was also manipulated into all of it by Billy. In a way, neither of them had full control of what they did.

I like to think that had they not run away on ‘That Night’ they would’ve been sentenced but also would’ve been able to get the psychiatric help they really needed.

“Neil, I’m home!” I shouted as I opened the door. No response.

“Neil?” I called out again, suspicion rising in my voice. No response again.

“Are you here?” I asked, looking around the living room, the kitchen, upstairs in his room, Sid’s room, my room, every room in the house.

“Neil?!” I called out again this time with frantic breathing and hot tears itching at my skin.

“Oh woah, woah, kiddo it’s okay!” Neil came from around the corner running to me.

“I thought- I thought you were gone! That they took you! Where were you?!” I asked, clinging to his sleeves and he pulled me into a hug.

“Shh shh, I was in the garage working on the car, kid,” He said as he rocked me back and forth.

“I already lost mom and Sid. I don't want to lose you too, Dad,” I said as I thought back to how I found Sid and Tatum at Stu’s house…and the officer who sat me down to tell me how my mom passed away.

“Hey, it’s okay, I’m okay, we’re okay,” Neil softly said, trying to calm me down.

“Ya know what, you got a letter on the counter, looks like it might be from a family member, go take a look,” Neil said as he ruffled my hair.

Going downstairs I look on the kitchen counter, sure enough there’s an envelope with neat and somewhat familiar handwriting. Huh no return address, I thought to myself. I’m careful not to rip the paper as I open the envelope. As I looked inside I saw a few polaroids and folded paper inside. Taking the polaroids out ran my blood cold. One of them was a picture Mrs. Riley took of Sid, Tatum, and I from our final sleepover. The next was of our group at the fountain, all of us, but Sid and Tatum’s faces were crossed out and small Ghostface doodles were placed over Billy and Stu’s. The last two were pictures of me, Stu and Billy on Stu’s couch at one of our movie nights. Placing the pictures down I look at the paper… on the folded front said; To: (y/n), from: Yours Truly. The letter itself said;

Dear (y/n),

It’s been a while. We’ve really missed you. How’s your mom…oh wait. We just wanted to check in and let you know we’re doing fine after you killed us. Or well, almost killed us. We bet you’re wondering how we’re still alive, Right?

Well for starters, the knife? A retractable prop, bit of a let down since you didn’t actually stab Stu, right? Then that gun, we switched out Dew-fuses’ bullets for blanks while you ran to his car. Really explains how Randy lived. You most likely knew that already. Also when you kick someone against a coffee table, you should really check their pulse next time.

We hope you haven’t gotten too comfortable thinking we’re gone for good ‘cause trust us baby, we’re coming back for the sequal.

Just as I finished reading the letter I heard a ringing from the telephone in the lounge area where Sidney got the call the night we were attacked. Cautiously I walked over to it, fear in my chest making my heart race and my palms sweat. “Hello?” I asked, swallowing nothing out of pure nervousness.

“Hello, (y/n), miss me?” Asked an all too familiar raspy off pitched voice.

“Oh shit.”

Pianoman is handsy, but Alb is clingy… like Pianoman would be the one to try and sneak a hand to your ass, but Alb just likes hugs and holding you

Speaking of Alb, he definitely likes to steal you away all the time

Can and will just take you out of a cafe date with Lippman so then he can drive you to some random empty parking lot in the middle of nowhere just to make out with you

You have them all of a leash, and they will be there at your beck and call

Bet if you’re in trouble with something (they know very well you’re capable), doesn’t matter if it’s personal or not, they’re there

Iceman is a simp, I can definitely see him trying to be chill about your attention being on everyone else, but he’s a little jealous… he won’t say anything though

One time, Lippmann was watching Pianoman’s hand that was on your thigh as you were sitting on his lap. Pianoman eventually noticed and looked up at Lippman with a smirk and said: “ You wanna join?”

You ended up in between them that night (god, I desperately want that to be me)

Doc gifts you flowers, but he always gets the ones that are small (he thinks that they are like him, so that’s why he gets them for you), OR he’d gift you jars of severed limbs/eyes/etc

If he does surgery on you, he’s going to find some way to give you an extra organ and just not tell you about it. I guess enjoy your new third kidney babes (this is a crack hc, but I did see it from a meme)

Albatross seems like the typa guy to gift you a taxidermied animal, idk why… he gives me those vibes, like how a crow will gift you a dead mouse as thanks for saving it (Albatross is the name of a bird after all)

Iceman seems like the type to gift you either old records, things that remind you of him, or things the reminds him of you

Lippman gifts really expensive things like designer bags or clothing

Pianoman doesn’t seem like much of a gift person, but he’d probably get you something more sentimental: like a simple (but expensive) necklace, or very romantic letters

Lippmann LOVES to spoil you: literally will take you to everything, always has you at any of his interviews (though you’re probably in disguise), or at movie/tv show shoots

Iceman definitely likes to have you to himself, he doesn’t mind the poly relationship, but if you’re with him, he doesn’t like to share

That said, if he does have you for a night, bet it’s going to be a good night (in both ways)

If you are getting shared it’s most likely pianoman + Lippmann or alb + doc

Though of course the six of you are always together, I mean hey, u got the cream of the crop of the Port Mafia all to yourself 

If you get signed a solo mission, at least one of them is either going with you or watching you on the sidelines

One time it ended up being where all of them showed up and they comedically fell out from behind a corner (the sillies)

Pianoman puts his coat on you if you’re feeling cold, likes to see you put the sleeves on and see the coat sort of pool over you

Trust, if someone hurts you, that person is getting their ass demolished, beaten tf up, burned, sunk into the ground, dead as hell

They’d probably make a mess of the person who hurt you, so much so that the person is beyond recognition

I promised I'd share the notes I had on what happened after the end of my fic We'll Build A Dynasty (one the heavens can't shake) and since today is my birthday I thought it'd make a fun treat (for you and for me :P)

Under a read more because this is LONG. And I guess it has spoilers for the fic itself too, if that matters haha.

So here we go! These are the main "questions" I left unanswered on purpose.

Does Wei Wuxian ever let his practice of the ghost path become known again?

Yep. Honestly the way I see it, the only reason the sects had a problem with it in the first place was because Wei Wuxian was the son of a servant. They never had any problem reaping the benefits of his inventions (all of which were a result of his new cultivation) so since Wei Wuxian now has the legitimacy he lacked in his first life, they might grumble about it if they’re particularly uptight but he’ll never become the reviled Yiling Patriarch.

In any case I don’t see Wei Wuxian disregarding an entire path (and the very very useful things that come with it) just because he can use his sword again. He’ll just balance both because he is that good. The ghostly path will also seem a lot less powerful since Wei Wuxian doesn’t have a good reason to raise an entire army of the dead, and the Yin Tiger Tally never was created. So that's one less difficulty to face.

(there will always be rumors of course, but he’ll never confirm them one way or another and the Wen aren’t stupid enough to let such a secret out, both because it'll draw the ire of their new sect leader and because aside from a few stubborn Elders, they're not that confident they can win a war without Wen Ruohan around)

He might even take on thoroughly vetted disciples since it’ll attract less… questionable people (I'm not actually that sure on that point, it depends on the day.)

Do Jiang Yanli and Lan Xichen get married?

Yes they do. Sorry Jin Ling. </3 (although who knows, maybe the universe is nice enough to give them a son that for some reason will end up being a little prickly for a Lan and a love for dogs!)

I'm actually not overly fond of the Jin Zixuan/Jiang Yanli pairing and I liked the idea of Jiang Yanli and Wei Wuxian actually being related through their respective marriage. I hesitated with Nie Huaisang/Jiang Yanli at first but the Jiang Yanli/Lan Xichen really grew on me as I wrote the fic haha. They’re very very cute. Lan Xichen strikes me as an even bigger simp than Jin Zixuan ended up being in canon. He WILL talk to you about his wonderful wife if you let him.

What about Nie Huaisang and Wen Qing?

I'm not actually sure about those two. Maybe they get engaged and never marry, maybe they marry but only as friends, maybe they marry and fall in love (in that order, I don’t see Wen Qing falling in love at first sight), maybe they hate each other on sight and stay far, far away from each other, maybe they like each other just fine but don't marry anyway because Nie Huaisang is a romantic and wants to love his spouse romantically or because they know they’ll drive each other crazy within days, maybe they stay engaged because neither of them is interested in marriage and this helps them get their family off their back, maybe they marry and then Nie Huaisang gets a second wife they both fall in love with and they have a really healthy and happy polycule.

As you see, there are plenty of interesting possibilities. :P

Do Wangxian still adopt A-Yuan?

Yes. I’m not cruel enough to delete both Jin Ling and A-Yuan from existence. I’m not clear on what happens to A-Yuan’s birth parents (do they still die, do they give him up or is he adopted to be raised as a heir but they still participate in raising him? I am planning an extra with him in it so I'll have to decide soon but so far I HAVE NO IDEA haha), but yes, Wangxian get their son back, don’t worry.

What happens with Su She, Jin Zixun and Jin Guangshan?

Su She still eventually defects but since he doesn’t have Jin Guangyao sponsoring him, he never manages to become someone important enough to matter in the long run. He’s extremely bitter about it, like he’s bitter about everything else.

After his thorough public humiliation, Jin Zixun fancies himself the “rival” of Wei Wuxian once again. Wei Wuxian wouldn’t care except Wen Qing is very serious about any potential threats, even minor ones so she keeps him updated. They have fun about it. He might try something anyway but Jin Guangshan isn’t dumb enough to defend him so he just digs up his own grave and he eventually offends someone enough that he dies like a loser, like in canon.

As for Jin Guangshan… He’s a very serious threat, always was, but he lacks the political power he had in canon and this time Wei Wuxian has a much better support network who isn’t as easily manipulated into betraying him so things are much better on that front. Wei Wuxian never drops his guard obviously but he’s not vengeful enough to try and start his own conspiracy to get rid of him.

(Wen Qing, on the other hand, has absolutely no qualms about whispering some ideas in a few people’s ears. And because he is still a terrible person and quite a lot of his crimes haven't been erased by the time travel, Jin Guangshan dies quietly and painfully and though no one dares point fingers, Madam Jin looks just a little bit too smug while wearing the traditional white for it to be a coincidence and the family doctor mysteriously decides to retire right after the funeral).

What about Xue Yang, Jin Guangyao, etc.?

Honestly? Don’t know, don’t care. There’s no war so Meng Yao has no opportunity to get close to either Lan Xichen or Nie Mingjue. Maybe he still manages to join a sect as an outer disciple. If they meet, Nie Huaisang hates him on sight, though he can’t tell why. Because this is a kinder univser, both Meng Yao and Xue Yang probably get the opportunity to be better than they are in canon. Do they take that chance? Up to you. I haven’t thought about anyone else’s fate sorry but you can bet they probably have a much better life this time around (or, if they already had a happy life, then they get to be happy again).

And Jiang Cheng? Does he actually grow as a person? What about his mother?

Honestly, I like to think he does. I’m not a big fan of him but I think he’s still young enough here that he might choose differently, especially after being forced to face so many hard truths. At the very least, he never becomes the man willing to participate in a genocide or the serial killer he is in canon. He and Wei Wuxian will never be close again though — like in canon, Wei Wuxian is ready to let go of that relationship. But Jiang Cheng still has his sister and his father and both of them have had a pretty big hm… Wake-up call? I suppose?

Not in a bad way or anything like that but Wei Wuxian’s defection shook them both and since neither of them die anytime soon, they’re here to push Jiang Cheng to be better. It takes time and effort but who knows, maybe he does manage it (he tries at the very least, because if there’s one thing he craves, it’s his father’s approval).

AS FOR MADAM YU... She still blames Wei Wuxian for every little thing, she thinks it's his fault that her son's self-confidence visibly decreased after the lectures (L O L), she hates with a passion the fact that Jiang Fengmian accepted to let Lan Xichen court Jiang Yanli and didn't give yet another chance to Jin Zixuan... She started as a bitter woman and a bitter woman she'll stay.

How exactly did Wei Wuxian go back in time? Why does only Lan Wangji get to remember?

Because I wanted to. I don’t have a better explanation sorry. Maybe a mischievous god (me, the author) decided Wei Wuxian deserved to get a different second chance, that other people deserved to stay alive and so they did.

As for why only Lan Wangji got to remember, the romantic explanation is that they’re soulmates. The boring explanation is that I’m really bad at writing teenage Lan Wangji so I speedran his character development.

Why do some characters find themselves trusting Wei Wuxian when they just met him?

When it comes to Wen Qing and Wen Ning, it’s because they were dead and I like the idea that the dead have no concept of time so time travel doesn’t have an effect on them. Since in the new timeline Wen Qing and Wen Ning aren’t dead yet, they only have fragments of their memories (the dead of the Burial Mounds on the other hand, never forgot their Patriarch. It’s why it took so little time for Wei Wuxian to tame them this time. I expend on that a little more in the Wei Wuxian POV but since I have no idea if I’ll ever finish it, never mind publish it… You get the short explanation here haha). It's also why Wen Chao knew it was the dead of the Burial Mounds and why he was so scared. And Nie Huaisang… Maybe he just has really, really good instincts. Or maybe the “mischievous god” isn’t actually a god at all but him scheming behind the scenes like in canon. Who knows? Certainly not me. ;)

Season 2 spoiled us. A & C were together almost all the time. We got so much screentime with them together. (unlike season 1).

I think I can’t handle it if in season 3 they will be separated for most of the season again. Don’t get me wrong, I firmly believe that we’ll get a happy ending, but I want it to last longer than the last 15 minutes. I want to see at least some of the cute moments we all imagine come to live on screen. And when the conciliation happens in the last episode there will be nearly no time for fluffy stuff, especially assuming that there will be an bigger overarching plot in season 3 and new characters, who’s stories need to be told as well.

I know I’m unreasonable, but I want them to make up early in the season or I need more episodes.😭

Ohh anon, i get you. But I think you’re making yourself sad based on a lot of assumptions that might not necessarily be true.

Remember that most of their scenes together that we got this season were actually in the flashbacks from their long history. I imagine s3 could easily feature a couple of delicious minisodes — we might for example see the reasons for aziraphales past apology dances that he mentioned. We might see aziraphale rescue crowley from hell after the elspeth thing. Those are my hopes and guesses.

While i agree that we got spoiled this season with lots of content together and s3 will undoubtedly feature less of that, and i too enjoyed their scenes together most, i don’t think s3 will necessarily mean a quick wrap-up and fade to black. Sure, we can’t expect a fanfic level episode of fluff only, but to me that sounds just as boring too. That’s why fanfic exists. But we won’t necessarily get a solution in the last 15 minutes of episode 6 only.

I’m a simp yes… but i trust that gaiman and finnemore will not only build a narratively good season but they’ll also honour these characters and give them that happy ending with care and decades of writing expertise. And i trust in tennant and sheen to put their whole tussy and shussy into it.

Okay, so I was listening to something a while back and instantly came up with the idea of chan reading to kids and just being the cutest with them. Maybe him being a volunteer at a daycare or something. Y’all remember that episode of inside seventeen about the 2021 online concert they did, right? That doremi concept with the mini doremiz. I have been watching that on repeat

Brainrot #1 - chan is great with kids

Just imagine this, you and your boyfriend chan walk into the daycare centre ready to apply because it’s a quick side job to do after college classes plus the payment isn’t too bad. While you’re signing some documents or your length contract as a volunteer you lean your head to peek at the children in the other room, but you just instantly see HIM. So fucking cute omg. Him just playing along to some kids magic trick and genuinely looking amazed by the beginner magic. I’ll just say it now but all of the kids love him, like his name is called every 5 seconds by another kid wanting him to play with them. You’re both accepted as the new volunteers and told to either observe or learn hands on how to take care of the children for the day since y’all start next week. You decide to just observe and obviously chan is doing it hands on. A couple of the children approach you and sit around you asking you all these questions. You just get so consumed conversing with the little ones that you forget to check how he’s doing with the other kids.

You look over at him and find him already looking at you. HIM LOOKING AT YOU WITH SO MUCH LOVE IN HIS EYES. So you blush and send a wave over to which he grins in response. ANYWAY, he hangs around with the kids even more and even dances with them when they want to. He looks so hyped, damn cute just vibing with them kids. He honestly is just a bigger version of a child, he’s adorable. They’re hyper, he’s hyper, at that point all the older workers are just chuckling at how well he gets along with the children even if it’s his first time meeting them. When did you get such a cute boyfriend? This job should have contained a warning that if you apply with your significant other and watch them with kids it might just be too sweet for your heart to handle!!!!

I haven’t even gotten to my favourite part which is… READING TIME!!!!!! THIS IS WHAT I THOUGHT OF SO SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME RANT ABOUT IT!!! It’s nearing the evening and he decides that it’s time for reading time so when the children’s parents pick them up they’ll be tired and sleep quicker. He gathers all the children by the reading corner and picks out a classic storybook and reads it to the kids. He makes sure to add emotion into his voice and emphasise on the scary/sad parts. The type to make sound effects, like if he were reading The Three Little Pigs then he’d probably go, “so he Huffed, and Puffed, and BLEW THE HOUSE DOWN” whilst making a loud blowing sound that has the children whining on how the big bad wolf blew another house down. He made sure to interact with the little ones as he read the story, it’s like a cute interactive experience for them. The children are pretty sleepy after chan finishes his story, right on time for the parents to pick up their children. You both walk home and he totally goes on about how fun today was and how he can’t wait till next week… He’s especially excited to see how you deal with the kids, since maybe it’ll come in handy for you both in the future hehe

Babe, how are you doing? Jungkook is out to collect more hearts. I quite like that this seems more in line with jk than other American produced songs that bts has done in the past. The 90’s film sequences and theme was used throughout and elevated the hunk/simp image lol. Jungkook looked great in his outfits and the song is easy to listen too. Confession tho, I didn’t quite like the rap verse and I really looked forward to a romantic/simple song with emotional vocals. A example of that would be decalcomania… I guess we’ll have to see if that happens in the album. What did you think?

I’m good! I’m working on UTWT book things now that I’m off vacation, and then once that’s sorted I will be deep diving into chapter 5 of TWWWBAATTA -> just gotta edit! And then and then! irl I’m job hunting on top of that so I’m very busy 😂.

I don’t mind the song! It kinda reminds me of bad decisions (cuz of all the days of the week stuff) but it’s cute!! And then the explicit version makes me want to eat rocks cuz that’s my baby and he doesn’t say things like that. (Please know I’m fully aware he is a grown man and can do whatever he wants I’m not a puritan just sentimental)

The music video was really interesting! I found a lot of the directorial choices interesting too. They definitely made a few angling choices I found a little confusing and off putting but that’s just a difference in personal style. The whole idea behind it was great! I’m excited to see what he does next.

I think the rap part isn’t necessary to the song, nor do I know who Latto is so I didn’t really feel one way or another about it. But I know her verse made a lot of ARMY uncomfortable which sucks. I really really dislike a lot of modern rap, there’s few exceptions like our boys and then bands like twenty one pilots and such. More rap with meaning then just spitting lines about sex or drugs or nothing of substance, which I feel a lot of it has become. That kind of music just isn’t for me.

So I probably won’t have it on my regular rotation but I will have it in my kpop playlist! If when his album drops there’s songs I like a lot more then they’ll get dropped into my regular listening playlist!

I’ve found that I vibe most with Yoongi and then some of Hobi and Joons musical styles more. They’re a bit more rough around the edges and musically diverse in styles, which is very much more my type of music, whereas the youngins in the Maknae line tend to be more Pop-y and upbeat. And there’s nothing wrong with that! It’s just not usually my style so it takes longer for me to learn to vibe with it.

Over all I think it’s a nice song and he’s doing well! I loved that Sohee played the love interest because I LOVED her in My Name. That was a great little highlight for me!

He’s just constantly watching you from afar, gazing and silently praising everything you do. You’re basically perfection in his eyes.

Everyone notices his stares except you.

He’s constantly talking to Gilda about you. You’re all that’s on his mind!

He watches you a lot whilst you hang out with your friends, imagining that you’re talking to him instead. They’ll notice him with heart eyes some ways away behind you, and tell you to turn around to look. But once you look, he’s gone. Hiding behind a corner breathing heavily with a bright red face. Poor baby. 😭

You always just assume that your friends are messing with you, no matter how much they swear up and down that you have a secret admirer. Though it isn’t very secret… Unless you count yourself.

When something happens that leads to you both needing to communicate, he’s a stuttering mess. The ENTIRE time. Doesn’t matter how long you two have been talking for. Boy is awkwarddddd.

I see him as the type to try and impress you from afar. He’ll be some ways away, waving to get your attention. Once your eyes are on him, he’ll do some cool trick, but of course mess it up. No matter what he was doing, he’ll end up on the floor. But you always laugh at his failed attempts, so he sees it as a win anyway! Gilda definitely slaps the poor boy. 😭

Speaking of Gilda, she’ll try time and time again to give Don relationship advice, but he always manages to mess it up in the silliest most unpredictable ways. He’ll laugh about it with you in the moment, but once you’re gone, mans is throwing a TANTRUM.

Does the whole “stupid stupid stupid!” chant in front of a mirror, even slapping himself a few times. Gilda definitely caught him and decided enough was enough.

You were fairly easy to talk to, so despite being shy herself, she walked up to you and asked you to meet her after dinner. You of course agreed, and the two of you even had some small talk! Gilda is a sweetheart. <3

OKAY BACK TO DON

She dragged Don to the meeting spot, not telling him that you’d be there as well. But once he saw you, boy went into a PANIC. You noticed this, and of course asked if he was okay.

“Hah, me?! Oh, yeah no, I’m fine~” Poor baby tried to do that elbow on the table lean BUT MISSED THE DAMN TABLE AND FELL 😭

Gilda watched him unamused and with her arms crossed, whilst you were laughing in the background. The shy girls always have the meanest “I’m so done with your shit” glare and you cannot tell me otherwise. Feeling intimidated, he laughed nervously and looked up to you, speaking shyly.

“Hah hah, guess I fell for you, huh?” This caused you to laugh even harder, whilst Gilda was kicking his sides, eventually forcing him to leave the room altogether.

“Since he won’t tell you, I will. Don has a crush on you.”

Don of course overheard and rushed back in the room, about to say some stupid shit (ily Don but please stfu you’re very extra 🤭) before you interrupted, confessing that you felt the same. Gilda let out a sigh of relief, being able to sleep peacefully knowing her best friend could finally put the whole Y/N thing to rest. Booooy was she wrong.

Gilda got exactly ONE night of peaceful sleep. Not one peaceful morning, only a peaceful night. When Gilda woke up, she was immediately hit with a somehow maximum energy Don, ranting about nothing but you. Gilda will switch from shy girl to “if one more word comes out your mouth I will give you a more brutal death than the demons” REAL fast. Girly just wants to enjoy her breakfast. 😭

Do you have a mod list for the sims 2? I plan on undergoing the project of getting it and the mods it needs to run but I don’t really know any other mods that would be decent

it depends on what you're looking for in your gameplay tbh! A good chunk of my mods I got from a a popular Sims streamer's mod recommendation list, I cherry picked what seemed fun and left out everything else.

In general the ones I ended up liking a lot and will suggest to add because they either improved the game or made it more fun for me personally are:

Autonomous Casual Romance (ACR): this one is a classic, it gives the sims unbelievable autonomy in searching for romantic relationships, deciding whether or not to woohoo and/or try for baby etc. It also gives the opportunity to add specific gender preferences to the characters, to the townies and to have the sexuality on your kid sims randomized for them when they grow into Teens. There's a couple switches in the mod that I find questionable (like the possibility to add teen/adult romance to the game), but you can just switch them off and move on imo. The one true downside to ACR is that it's damn hard to set up, and I had to look up a tutorial for it.

Auto Breakup & Engagements: this one is so much fun paired up with ACR. Sims will autonomously engage or break up with their significant other. It's chaos. I love it.

Just Be Friends Social: another one that I like paired up with ACR. Works wonderfully when I set a Sim as gay (or they rolled as such) but still has a partner/crush of the opposite gender.

Sim Blender: great for using cheats without having to enable and disable cheats, I mostly use it to add family ties that are missing or change sims names that I don’t like.

SimPE: so this is not a mod but it's a tool I suggest downloading. You can do a LOT on it, from changing Sim names to making specific mods and tweaks work, adding family ties for Sims who are related but the game doesn't flag them as such etc. It's a bit hard to use, also back up your game files before using it because I already corrupted shit twice while using it.

Monique’s Hacked Computer: it puts in the Buy Mode a couple PCs with advanced options, like looking for roommates, set up bank accounts for sims (even kids), and order food or pay bills directly from PC.

Job Seeking Notice Board: an item you can use in community lots (and also residential but I like putting it in like a neighborhood employment center) to immediately choose the job your sim wants instead of waiting days for the journal or pc to roll it out of all the options.

Multiple Pollination Technician Mod: this is so useful when you have a lot of people who get kidnapped by aliens. normally there's one PT for neighborhood, so all alien spawns turn out to be half-siblings because of that. This makes it so there are 4 possible PTs, who also look better than the OG one.

Gender Transition Potions: this is just fun. it changes a Sim's gender in game, gives them the memory of their happy transition, and it also includes a tutorial on how to change a Sim's body type on SimPE so that the transition fully takes place.

Last Name Chooser: you can decide which last name the sims get after getting married.

Baby, Toddler and Pregnancy Mods: fixes preexisting issues with babies and toddlers, allows interactions which were supposed to be in game, such as breastfeeding.

More sensible "Can my friend come over, too?": when inviting a Sim over, they’ll tell you which friend they want to bring over as well instead of making you guess who the fuck it’s going to be.

also some generic mod that fix problems I kept having with the game BEFORE i modded it:

Sim Shadow Fix removes the black box that appears instead of a shadow to sims

Date/Outing Stood Up Timer Fix: GET THIS. I kept having sims stand up their dates despite having them right next to the car before the date, this resolved the problem.

Aging Baby to Toddler Fix: you can find it in one of the download files of the mod, it fixes the issue in which sometimes baby bug out and don't age when they should, making the entire household bug as a consequence

Engagement Memory Fix: prevents a sim from randomly getting a bad memory from their engagement when they shouldn't.

No Death Type Loss when Moving Tombstones: prevents the sim from re-getting the memory of loss of a loved one when you move their tomb somewhere else.

I think this is all. You’ll see I don’t use like graphic change mods or any clothes/buy/build mods because 1) I like the way the game looks, and 2) I’m too lazy to try and understand how meshes work.

I have a love hate relationship with Mai being the brains of this whole operation. Love because we do stan smart ladies. Loathe because it feels like that’s really the only role they’ll seriously give women in this series outside of housewife. Kale and Caulifla and to a very small degree 18 sort of break that mold, but what are the odds we see the former two again? We will at least see 18 in action again when Cell Max shows up but it’s always a supporting role for her. I also still don’t forgive them for the damsel in distress shit they did with Mai last chapter, and I sense another scenario on the horizon.

Side note: I’m both laughing at Trunks and feel bad for him because he thinks Mai asked him to the dance because she likes him, but she actually just wants to activate her trap card. :’3 RIP kid.

AIGHT. I half rescind my last statement. Didn’t see this before posted. I hope she does get that squatty shit on her own lmao. I mean. I still have big X to doubt, but then again, it does seem like the writers take the month to gather intel about what their fans want, so maybe they’ll choose something worthwhile this time.

Though, they try to push the everyone’s afraid of Bulma, too, so why. Why is it always Chi Chi that gets treated like a monster and horrible person when, especially in Super, we actually get to WATCH Bulma be a terrible person? Ugh. 🙄

With all that said, that’s about the end. Hedo vows to get out of prison to make the ultimate android and I assume this will lead into the events of Super Hero. It’s hard to say if they’re going to have him break out like he did in the movie or just wait out his three month sentence (the reason I say this is because it seems strange to go into detailing him getting the reduced sentence if he’s just going to bust out before anyway). So, will we see a time skip and go into Super Hero, or will we get something else in between? I mean. Frieza’s still out there doing...whatever the fuck he’s up to. Broly is featured in the Super Hero movie, but we never got that movie adapted to the manga. I’m pretty sure the time has passed to do that since they gave Frieza a new form, but who knows. The writers aren’t exactly known for consistency. I’m leaning more on the time skip, but who knows. I would rather see what the hell they were going to do with Frieza and his bullshit (and have Vegeta finally get to kill his fucking ass but I know that won’t happen), but I’m guess we won’t get to until the next arc.

Overall, though, the mini arc was fine. As I’ve said, it was nice to see Trunks and Goten get to be normal teenagers and take the Saiyaman helm. It was nice to get more context to what happened with Hedo before Super Hero, I suppose. Goten got a little more time to shine in the last chapter, which is nice. Plenty of goofy moments and inconsistencies, but I’ve come to expect that at this point in trudging through this series. My biggest hope for the Super Hero arc, at least where Goten and Trunks are concerned, is that they don’t just end up treated as comedic relief with a failed fusion. I’m not holding my breath, but who knows. Maybe they’ll get a bigger role since they were involved in this whole sleuth story.]
