I was pleasantly surprised to see Trent’s return at the start of the episode, because his ending struck me as a definitive one. Were you also surprised to have a bigger role this season? I found out that Trent would be featuring more in season three in between seasons one and two. You see, I had a really interesting thing happen with this role. After I finished my very first scene in the first season, I was walking through the car park and Jason stopped me and said, “Hey, it’s really good to have you onboard. I love what you’re doing with Trent.” And we had a three-minute conversation that changed the course of my career and Trent’s life.
Well, now I have to hear about this conversation. I said to him that I felt the reason Trent was the way he was has to do with his father. He had a dad who really wanted him to be a manly man and be sporty, but Trent wasn’t that guy. So he hit the library and donned intellect as his shield and armor. Jason was looking at me sort of mystified, and he said, “Hey, I’m going to tell you something. This whole show is about bad dads.” And I said, “Really?” And he said, “Yeah. The reason Ted is the way he is is because his father committed suicide and he decided to embrace life and adopt that positive attitude.” And I was like, “Oh, wow. Well, this is really resonating with Trent as well.” And then I said, “I think he’s bored of sports journalism. There’s more in there. He’s not living the life he wants to live.” Jason just nodded and went, “Okay, yeah, great.” And that was it. It sparked something that was maybe already in Jason and it certainly fanned the flames for what’s going to happen in season three.
There’s a moment in the season-one episode “Trent Crimm: The Independent” when Trent is tasked with basically eviscerating Ted in the press. Of course, that’s not what happens at all because he realizes he’s dealing with somebody quite special and unique. During that scene in the Indian restaurant, Ted says something that blows Trent’s heart open: “It’s not about the winning and losing, it’s about these boys becoming the best versions of themselves both on and off the pitch, and it ain’t always easy, especially if they’ve had a tough childhood.” That spoke directly to me with Trent’s backstory. As a boy, he’d always wanted to hear something like that. He’s now looking at this extraordinary father figure, which really does change Trent’s perspective and sends him on a journey in the background.

couldn’t find anything about the murdochs suppressing press freedom would you mind sharing links please
ooooooft okay. i do forget that not everyone is aware of these things. but!! if you wanna know why dominant news media in the global north sucks / wanna be more aware of media influence on politics / wanna appreciate succession more - here is a 'fuck the murdochs' reading list
a recent article on the current court case between Fox News (founded by Rupert Murdoch) and Dominion Voting Systems. Dominion is claiming defamation after Fox News pushed the lie the 2020 election was stolen from Trump, which led to the Jan 6 riots.
Opinion piece by former Aus PM Malcolm Turnball on why he's leading a campaign requesting a Royal Commission into Murdoch's monopoly over Australia's press and Murdoch's unjust influence on Australian politics
here is a podcast breaking down how Lachlan Murdoch (irl Kendall) is suing an independent paper here in Aus for connecting the Jan 6 insurrection to fearmongering of Murdoch press in the States. like, he is literally suing journalists for accurate reporting. that *is* suppressing freedom of the press by definition.
The Murdochs: Empire of Influence (2022). 6 part documentary featuring historians, journalists, ex-employees etc. covers everything there is to know about the family's role in press and politics from world war 1 up to 2022.
Book: Breaking News: Sex, Lies and the Murdoch Succession by veteran anti-Murdoch journalist Paul Barry. The book is from 2013, but is a thoroughly accessible analysis of on the family's rise
Vanity Fair also recently published this hugeeeeee investigation: Inside Rupert Murdoch's Succession Drama
The official Succession podcast is free and discusses the show's influences pretty openly. it doesn't go super in-depth (probably because they don't want to be sued) but it makes mention and discussion of real events and people that influence the show.
just for good measure: here is a list of every news outlet and publisher and media outlet the Murdoch family own across the US, UK, Europe and Asia. handy for when you do your own research, which you should so you're not reading from *their* sources. The whole reason you have trouble finding this kind of information on them is because they suppress it, or make it hard to find.
like... i know a lot of people don't know this, but Succession is a political satire and is about a very specific group of people who are actively shaping the world for the worst so they can become rich and never live with the consequences. the majority of Jesse Armstrong's work is about how internal dynamics between people in powerful institutions literally shape society. if you don't understand that's what Succession is then you're actually missing a huge part of it. so i hope you, and anyone else who needs it, take a gander at these resources because you won't only understand Succession more, but the state of your local politics and media too.

— WORLDS COLLIDE PT. 3
summary: The lie you believed your whole life just fell apart, the person you loved the most let you down once again. Why did you think this time would be different?
previous chapter
note: i really don't know what song to recommend for this part, just play your favorite sad song lol. please pretend that on social media it says "Mia" instead of Y/N, i edited it like 3 times and it never saved so i gave up.
@http-isabela love u 😚💞
Tumblr media
Indignation.
That's what Mia feels now.
She has a hard time believing what she sees, but unfortunately it is real.
They backstabbed her in front of miles of people.
Tumblr media
It wasn't until she arrived in Argentina that she found out about their tweets, all thanks to Anto, who had found out from Jorgelina Cardoso, Di Maria's wife.
After Mia found out, the players of the Argentina team found out too, Lio told them what happened after Anto told him.
Most are completely outraged by the audacity of her brother-in-law and his wife to make such comments.
All of them are still euphoric for having become world champions less than 2 days ago, and even more so now that they are waiting in Ezeiza to celebrate with the Argentines at the Obelisk.
So right now they do and say things that they wouldn't do at another time.
And Mia too.
Tumblr media
Will she regret of this? Yeah.
Does she care now? No.
Obviously people suspect that the tweets are for Melissa and Jirès (especially those of Enzo and Julián).
If Kylian and Mia's names was a trend before, now there are even newspaper articles speculating what happened between them.
And as if that weren't enough, now she has his boyfriend's fans attacking her on twitter, just like when he said he's dating her.
Tumblr media
Jirès even had the audacity to reply to her tweet.
Mia knows she were wrong a lot, but is all that necessary?
It's okay that they're mad at her and she understand it. But why increase the hate she is getting?
Why are they treating her like this if two days ago they had dinner with her and told her how grateful they are to have her in their lives?
Did they lie to her or were her attitudes so bad that they changed their opinion drastically?
Even if it hurts Mia keeps seeing the tweets out there about all the drama.
Tumblr media
Wonderful.
Now they are relating the songs of her favorite singer with her love dramas.
Tumblr media
THEY EVEN MAKE A PLAYLIST. (it's real btw)
Mia lets out a laugh when she saw the songs they chose to "cry over your divorce".
At least they are not criticizing her or judging her actions.
It doesn't make Mia feels better, but she doesn't feel worse. That's okay.
She wants to believe that's okay.
Tumblr media
Mia arrives at her father's house hours after arriving in Argentina.
Anto insisted so much that she stays with her and the children but Mia refused, she needs to talk to her dad, she miss him so much.
Mia knocks on the door of the house while she sees the Argentine flag hanging.
Her father opens the door for her in a matter of seconds and when he sees her he smiles and hugs her.
Mia smiled slightly as she felt his arms around her.
It feels good to hug him again. And that he is the one who took the initiative makes her happy.
Although deep down in her heart she knows that he is hugging her because Argentina won the World Cup and not because she came home after 5 years.
He invites her in and she enter his house.
Everything in the house was the same as when she left, but it felt different.
—Sentate si querés (Sit down if you want) –he says pointing to the couch in front of Mia.
She nods and sit back watching him do the same.
There is an awkward silence between the two of them until Mia speak.
—Y... ¿cómo andás? (So... how are you?) –her father turns to look at her and smiles widely.
He's going to talk about football.
—Estoy re bien, hija. Me siento tan feliz, nunca me había sentido así en mi vida, te lo juro. (I'm fine, daughter. I feel so happy, I have never felt like this in my life, I swear.)
He doesn't have to swear for Mia to believe him, she knows he's not lying. He was never this happy.
—Qué alegría, pa. (What a joy, dad) –she smiles slightly not knowing what else to say.
Mia wish she were as happy as her dad, but she can't knowing what she did.
She can't get Kylian out of her mind and how he must be now, a few hours away from his birthday.
She knows she have to explain everything to him but she doesn't have the courage to do it.
What excuse could she make for having abandoned him after not having achieved what he dreamed of all his life?
Mia comes back to reality when she feels her dad's touch on her shoulder.
—¿Eh? ¿Qué pasó, pa? ¿Me dijiste algo? (What happened, dad? Did you say something?)
She hears her dad laugh and sees how he shakes his head.
—Te pregunté qué dice tu noviecito por haber perdido (I asked you what "that guy" you're dating thinks about losing) –a mocking smile appears on his face.
"That guy you're dating"? Is that the way he intends to name her boyfriend?
—No sé, todavía no hablé con él. (I don't, I didn't talk with him yet).
—¿No quiere hablar con vos todavía después de haber perdido? Qué idiota. ¿Cómo se llama? ¿Kyle? ¿Kylan? (He doesn't want to talk to you after losing? What a idiot. What's his name? Kyle? Kylan?)
The mocking smile doesn't leave her father's face and that can't bother Mia anymore.
He doesn't even know his name.
—No es ningún idiota y su nombre es Kylian. Me sorprende que no sepas el nombre de mi novio, con quien estoy hace 4 años. (He's not an idiot and his name is Kylian. I'm surprised you don't know the name of the guy I've been in a relationship with for 4 years.)
Her father laughs mocking Mia's words.
—Kylian, nombre de perdedor en las finales (Kylian, name of a loser in the World Cup finals) –he laugh again.
Mia frowns. He's acting like her boyfriend hasn't hattrick or won a world cup yet.
He's trying to humiliate Kylian and she is not going to allow it.
—Te recuerdo que "ese perdedor" ya ganó un mundial y en su primer intento, y también casi gana su segundo mundial por su cuenta (I remind you that "that loser" has already won a World Cup and in his first attempt, and he also almost won his second World Cup on his own).
Now her father is the one who frowns, surprised by her words.
—Dejá de defender a ese tarado, ese chico no vale la pena, te lo dije millones de veces. Estás haciendo lo mismo que hiciste en 2018. (Stop defending that dumb guy, that boy is not worth it, I told you millions of times. You're doing the same thing you did in 2018.)
Mia takes a deep breath trying to calm down, what is happening cannot be real.
You pretended that you wanted us to win so that here in the media they wouldn't tell you anything, but surely you wanted that stupid boyfriend of yours to win. Of course, you didn't want the same thing to happen to you as in 2018, that you supported him when he was playing against your country and you made me look like a stupid. You betrayed me and dumped me for your boyfriend, you chose him over me and you didn't have one bit of consideration for me).
Mia can't believe what she is hearing.
—Ese chico te va a dejar por la primera chica que encuentre, no sé cómo duró tanto con vos. Todos los futbolistas son iguales. No me sorprendería si me decís que prefiere el fútbol antes que a vos (That boy is going to leave you for the first girl he finds, I don't know how he lasted so long with you. All footballers are the same. I wouldn't be surprised if you tell me that he prefers football over you).
That was the last straw.
—Entonces estás diciendo que Kylian va a hacerle lo mismo que vos me hiciste a mí (So you're saying that Kylian is going to do the same thing to me that you did to me?)
Mia feels her dad's stunned look and her let out a sarcastic laugh.
—Según vos él va a elegir el fútbol antes que a mí ¿no? Y me estás advirtiendo. Qué considerado, no querés que pase por lo mismo que me hiciste pasar vos (According to you, he is going to choose football before me, right? And you're warning me. How thoughtful, you don't want me to go through the same thing you put me through).
Her dad gets up from the couch completely angry.
—¿Qué decís, nena? Si a vos te di todo lo que pude para que no te faltara nada (What do you say? If I gave you everything I could so that you didn't lack anything).
Mia sighed completely frustrated, he doesn't get it.
Obviously he doesn't get it.
—Ya sé y te lo agradezco. Pero siempre hubo algo más importante que yo, no te importaba qué pasaba conmigo ni nada, nunca fui tu prioridad (I know and thank you for that. But there was always something more important than me, you didn't care what happened to me or anything, I was never your priority).
She feels how a lump forms in her throat and tears appear in her eyes.
Her father keeps glaring at her in front of her, as if she just insulted him.
(There was always a game more important than my birthday, a practice more important than my graduation. When I was born, mom told me that you complained because you had to play a game that weekend and you couldn't make it because you had to take care of me. And you have the nerve to come warn me about Kylian).
Her father does not take his eyes off her.
—Bueno, y decime entonces, ¿dónde está tu noviecito ahora? ¿Te buscó o algo por lo menos o no le importas lo suficiente como para querer saber dónde estás? (Well, and tell me then, where is your boyfriend now? Did he look for you or something at least or does he not care enough to want to know where you are?).
That hurt Mia.
Kylian hasn't called her.
But she didn't call him either and she should have.
—Él al menos no me llamó gritándome que soy una traidora, que no merezco vivir y que dejé de existir para él como tú lo hiciste (He at least didn't call me yelling that I'm a traitor, that I don't deserve to live and that I ceased to exist for him like you did).
There isn't a single hint of regret on his face, her father looks at her seriously, as if telling her that if he had to do it again, he would.
—Estabas apoyando al enemigo (You were supporting the enemy).
Mia remember Hiba's words to her during the match.
"You're wearing Kylian's jersey and sitting next to his family as you clap for the enemy."
This whole situation is so similar to 2018 but feels so different.
—Kylian necesitaba mi apoyo y estuve ahí para él. (Kylian needed my support and I was there for him).
Her father laughs sarcastically.
—¿Y por qué estás acá conmigo y no con él? Si él tanto te necesita (And why are you here with me and not with him? If he needs you so much).
Mia looks at her dad and then at her bags.
He's right, for the first time since she were born.
Why is she there with him if the one who really deserves to talk to her is Kylian?
Why did she think her dad would change this time?
Why is she there with him and not with Kylian? How could she get so carried away?
Mia takes her bags under the stupefied look of her dad and take one last look at his house.
The walls still have the same photos of her dad when he played football, it makes Mia a little sad to remember when she asked him why he hasn't photos of her there.
"It's just that I don't care enough about you".
After saying it, he laughed, implying that it was a joke.
Mia opens the door and walk out of her dad's house.
Maybe it wasn't after all.

Tumblr media
The bar looked exactly the same as it did three months ago. The music wasn't as loud, but that was probably because it was still early. Many people were still at work at 5pm on a Thursday.
Not you, you had found a job working online, writing articles for business pages. It wasn't the most exciting thing in the world but it paid well, and it occupied most of your time. An added bonus of not leaving for work was you never had to worry about coming home from the office to find someone on your couch. You shake your head trying to clear the thoughts. You weren't even 100% sure why you were here, the chances that Soap even knew Simon were slim. But he had said he knew almost everyone that came to the bar.
So there was a chance.
One you couldn't pass up, you had to at least try.
Wrapping your coat around you tighter, you walk into the bar. The dim lights reflect off the shiny tables. A few people sit at them, watching a replay of a game on tv. You glance around behind the bar, looking for the familiar mohawk.
It pops up from behind the bar towards the end, Soap holds a bin of limes in his arms. He sets the bin down on the shiny black countertop, pulling a small cutting board out from the top of the bin and a knife. He slices a lime in half as you slide into the seat in front of him. His blue eyes meet yours and a smile breaks out on his face.
“Lass! Good to see ya, you disappeared on me the last time ye were here!” He smiles, turning the lime and cutting it again.
“Sorry about that, I needed to clear my head, I hope I didn't upset you,” you smile back, placing your hands on the bar.
“Nay, what can I get for ye? Vodka Soda?” he asks, setting the knife down as he turns towards the shelves of alcohol behind him.
“Uh, actually, can I just have water instead?” You bite your bottom lip and Soap nods, grabbing a glass and filling it. He slides the glass of water in front of you, and you stare down into it.
“Everything okay?” he asks, looking at you with one raised eyebrow.
“Oh yeah, I'm fine. Early day tomorrow ya know? Don't want to be hung over is all.”
“Aye i get that, so what brings you here?” Soap leans his forearms against the bar, “Miss me?” He smiles.
You can't help but roll your eyes, “Oh totally,” you laugh.
“I knew it, not many women can resist the MacTavish charm,” Soap grins, he stands back up and picks up the knife. He cuts each lime into wedges before putting them in the bin, you reach over grabbing one from the cutting board and squeeze it into your water.
“Aye! Paw off,” Soap smiles, shaking the knife at you. A smile of your own breaks out on your lips as you watch him.
“You have plenty to spare, plus someone around here has to keep you busy.”
“I assure you Lass, the folk around here keep me plenty busy,” Soap points over your shoulder where Price and Gaz are walking in. They’re deep in a conversation as they make their way over to where you are sitting in front of Soap.
Kyle is the first to notice you, and he pauses looking at you over. “Y/n, it's good to see you again, not going to lie. I was kinda sad you left without a goodbye last time,” Gaz takes the seat on the left.
“Sorry about that, I promise to say bye this time. I don’t want to bruise your ego,” You say over the rim of your glass.
“Good, I don't think I can hear him wallow about it anymore,” Price says as he sits in the stool on your right. “So what do you think of London? Everything you could’ve imagined?”
“It’s alright… It rains a lot more than I'm used to, but it's not too bad. Definitely different from the small town I'm from,” you look over at him. He gives you a small smile, and turns towards Soap.
“Soap, we ship out tomorrow morning, be ready at 0600 hours,” Price grunts as Soap puts the last lime into the bin.
“Yes sir,” Soap turns towards the bottles of liquor on the shelf and grabs a bottle of bourbon. He sets it down on the counter with a soft thud, he then grabs two glasses for them, pouring each man two fingers. He slides the glasses across the bar to them, the acidic smell of the bourbon makes your stomach turn. Saliva pools in your mouth as you desperately try to swallow.
“Oh uh, Soap, I wanted to ask if you knew someone actually,” You take a sip of water, your eyes following him as he moves behind the bar. Soaps bright blue eyes look over at you, his brows furrowed together.
“I might,” he smiles. A loud noise from behind you startles you, and a drunken man tumbles into the back of your stool. His drink spilling down your back as he leans against the back of the barstool, the smell of the alcohol hits your nose.
“Oops,” the drunken man mumbles, his breath wafting over your face.
Your stomach rolls, as Price and Gaz help the man up. Gaz and Price half drag him away from you as he continues to mumble about his drink. Gaz says something and pats him on the chest as they pull him to the door. You stand from the chair, the fabric of your coat and shirt now sticking to you. Nausea rolls through you as you try to breathe through your mouth.
“You alright lass? You look a little green,” Soap is now standing in front of you, a clean bar towel in his hands. He gently pats the towel against your soaked shirt and coat trying to soak up some of the liquid that's seeping into your skin.
You can't answer, if you open your mouth you’re sure you’ll throw up so you push past Soap and hurry towards the bathroom. Soap follows behind you, pausing at the door to the women's room. You shove open one of the stall doors and drop to your knees. The cold tiles bite through the fabric of your jeans, as the contents of your stomach is emptied into the porcelain bowl. It takes you several minutes to stop dry heaving, your stomach clenching painfully with each contraction of your abs. When the feeling settles you stand, before rinsing your mouth out with some water from the tap. You grab a paper towel, wiping your hands and mouth.
“You alright in there?” Soap calls through the door, his voice laced with concern.
“Yeah..” you call back, tossing the paper towel into the bin and pulling open the door, “Sorry about that.” You shove your hands into your pockets as you come face to face with Soap. His eyebrows knit together in worry as he looks over you, one hand hovers in the air as if hes going back and forth on if he should touch you or not.
“You su-” he pauses looking over your shoulder, his eyes widened slightly.
“MacTavish, the bar can't run itself…” A familiar voice rumbles, the hair on the back of your neck stands on end. Memories of your night 3 months ago rushes back, that same voice that murmured praise to you as he pounded into you.
You whip around, at the end of the hall stands Simon, his black hoodie pulled up over his head, his mouth and nose covered by a skull print face mask. His brown eyes widen slightly as he sees you. “Y/n…” he whispers.
“You two know each other?” Soap muses from behind me, his hands coming to rest on my shoulder as he walks by. An uncomfortable silence settles over the hallway and Soap slips by, muttering “I’ll leave you two alone…”
Simon takes a few steps towards you, and it seems like he takes up the whole hallway. You look up as he towers over you, his face is unreadable, he lifts a hand, brushing his fingertips across your cheek. It sends electricity skittering across your skin, your breath catches in your throat.
Over the past 3 months you have tried to forget about the man whose brown eyes haunted your dreams. Whose touch caused your mind to go blank. Like someone wiping a harddrive. But there was no forgetting, not anymore. He was here in front of you, sure, you had come to ask Soap if he knew him. But you hadn't expected to run into him tonight. You still had no idea what you were going to say to him. How do you justify just leaving his house at 3am?
“You could've said goodbye, you know… You didn't have to sneak out and call an Uber at 3am..” Simon whispers, and guilt slams into you. He knew you left. He wasn't asleep like you thought…
“I-I..” you stumble over your words, unsure what to say. There wasn't anything you could say really. You knew you should’ve just waited, dealt with the awkward small talk. Maybe even exchange numbers you would never plan on using. But nope.
Instead you fled. Just like you fled after your sister's funeral.
At least you were consistent.
“I’m not upset, I understand.” Simon adds after a moment, his hands shoved deep in his pockets of his hoodie.
“Simon.. I.. I’m sorry.. I’ve been going through a lot. And i didnt .. I couldn't face you after that. Not, not that you did anything wrong. Because you didn't! I mean you were great. I just,” You run a hand through your hair. “God, this is not how I wanted this to go.”
“Breathe. Love, breathe.” Simons hands cup your face and you freeze. “It’s okay, like I said I'm not upset with you,” he lets his hands drop, and you nod.
“I didn't know you knew Soap,” He muses, leaning against the wall. You shuffle your feet, taking a deep breath.
“Yeah… I met him the same night I met you… You know him too, yeah?”
“Soap, Gaz, Price and I all serve together,” Simon rubs the back of his neck with his hand, looking slightly uncomfortable.
“Oh! I don't know how I didn't pick up that you were military,” You bite your lip looking down at his black boots.
“We didn't exactly get to know each other very much that night..” Simon says, and a small blush creeps up your cheeks at the mention of your night together. “So what brings you here tonight?” Simon asks.
The familiar feeling of nausea swirls in your stomach again, you clench your fists, nails biting into your palm. Something you have come to do a lot over the past few months. “I came here to ask about you, actually. I needed to talk to you..” You whisper, and Simon's brows furrow.
“Well you found me.. What did you need to talk about?” He asks, as you chew your bottom lip. Anxiety creeps into your chest, wrapping itself around your lungs like an icy hand. The air rushes from your lungs, your eyes burning with tears.
How the hell could you turn this man's life upside down?
“Hey, hey,” Simon whispers, his large hands clasp your shoulders steadying you. The world feels a million miles away, like you were floating out in space untethered. Everything sounds muffled, and the lights are suddenly too bright in the hallway. You raise your shaky hands, running them through your hair. A large hand guides you down the hall a little until the bitter cold air of winter in London hits you. You gasp, your lungs filling with the cold air, goosebumps break out along your heated skin.
The world slowly comes back into focus, soft murmuring in your ear as large arms wrap around your middle holding you against a solid chest. “Breathe, you’re alright, you’re okay… Just breathe, Love.” Simon murmurs into your ear. Tears fall from your eyes, trails of hot tears stream down your cold cheeks.
“I’m sorry I left that night…” you gasp in between sobs, “and i am so sorry im going to say this…” You whisper the last part. At first you aren't sure Simon heard you but after a moment he turns you around. His arms are still around you as he looks down at you, your teeth starting to chatter from emotion and the wind.
“Whatever you have to say can't be that bad, love. Did you find out you had some like STI or something? Do I need to get tested?” He asks, his brown eyes searching your tear stained face. His hands moving up and down your body in an attempt to warm you up and comfort you at the same time.
You shake your head, if only an STI was the least of your problems. “N-no, i didn't give you anything like that…” you choke out.
Simon watches you as you stand face to face with him in the same alley you met him in 3 months ago. Although this time you’re different, instead of the woman who was caught in her own head. Who was running from demons he couldn't see, trying her best to show the world it couldn't break her. Instead standing in front of him was a woman who was scared, who looked so lost in the world, like she was barely hanging on. He studies you, even as you stand in front of him crying, your entire body shaking. You were still beautiful, and he would be lying if he said he didn't think about you.
You had haunted him every moment since he heard you leave the apartment. When he heard the door click shut it took everything in him not to follow you out. But he didn’t, he laid there staring up at the ceiling until almost 5, before he got up and started making himself some tea. It was then he noticed the note you left your swirling handwriting on the scarp paper wishing him well. He was saddened to see you hadn’t left a way to contact you, but part of him understood. He had offered you a chance to get out of your head for a while. He hadn’t asked you on a date. He DIDN'T date.
The onslaught of disappointment was tough for him to swallow. Simon was never upset when a woman he brought to bed left with no goodbye, and a hasty note. Simon preferred it that way, it was better if the one night stands didn’t stick around but for some reason Simon couldn’t stop thinking about you. About how your curves felt beneath his palms. The silky smooth expanse of your skin. The way your moans stirred something deep in him, or the way your eyes told him more than you ever would.
Now as he looked down at you, standing in the darkened alley way. He knew whatever you wanted to say was about to bring his world crashing down. But instead of the overwhelming feeling to flee, that he normally had when confronting emotional issues like this. Simon wanted to hold you close and tell you that it was okay, that whatever it was you could face it and make it out the other side. During his years of doing interrogations and studying people he had learnt the signs of when someone was teetering on the edge. It was clear in your face and body language that you were one gentle gust of wind from toppling over. Crumbling into pieces he wasn’t sure anyone could put back together.
“What is it then Sweetheart? I’ll help you figure it out, whatever it is.” He whispers, pulling you closer to him, his body heat seeping into you, as the wind blows. You sniffle, your shaking hands coming up to swipe at the tears under your eyes. You take one last breath, eyes closed as you brace yourself.
“I’m pregnant.”
It’s like the world stopped spinning.
Time was suddenly suspended, as you pried your eyes open to look at Simon. His brown eyes were guarded. His brows pulled together, as his hands stopped their motions for a fraction of a second. Your lungs burned from holding your breath, your throat tight. Every muscle in your body was tense, as you waited for him to say something. Do something. You needed some sort of reaction from him. Yelling, screaming, swearing, anything was better than the earth shattering silence that took place after you muttered the two words you hadn’t yet said out loud since you found out.
It wasn’t like you planned on getting pregnant by your one night stand. Hell. It was the LAST thing you wanted. You were always careful to get your birth control shot every 3 months. But with the chaos of the last few months, somewhere along the line you must’ve missed your last appointment. It wasn’t until you went into your appointment earlier today to get a shot that they had informed you they couldn’t administer it. That you were already pregnant.
“Okay.”
The word shocks you, and for a moment you aren’t sure you hear him right. You raise an eyebrow, as you look at Simon.
“Okay?” You ask.
“Yeah, okay. We’ll figure it out.” Simon states, his hands resuming their soothing motion up and down your sides.
“You’re not.. not going to freak out?” You whisper.
“There’s nothing to freak out about, this isn’t just going to go away. So we need to talk about our options, and we will. Just got standing in the back alley of a pub.”
“Okay…” you whisper, as Simon’s hands guide you towards the emergency exit door that he brought you through. The inside of the bar is louder than before, more people have shown up. Soap, Gaz and Price are all talking at the end of the bar. Your glass of water is filled and sitting on a napkin. They all look over when you two walk over.
“Ghost, Soap was just telling me that you and y/n know each other. Small world isn’t it?” Gaz smiles, his brown eyes looking between us.
“We do,” Simon turns to Price, “I’m going to be bringing her home, I’ll see you at 0600 tomorrow, Captain.”
There’s a look that passes between Price and Simon, but he just nods, then turns towards you. “I hope to see you again, dear, maybe next time we can all have a nice meal.”
“Maybe,” you smile, after waving goodbye to Soap and Gaz, Simon leads you out to the street where the cars are parked.
“Did you drive here?” He asks, looking down at you.
“No I took the bus,” you shove your hands into the pockets of your coat. It was still wet from where the guy spilt his drink, and you shivered.
“I’ll drive you home,” Simon takes your hand, pulling you towards his truck. He pulls open the passenger door and waits for you to get settled in the seat before shutting it. You run your hands together as Simon climbs into the driver's seat. He starts the truck, turning the heat on high.
“Where do you live?” He asks, as he turns on the headlights.
“On Ashton street, the apartment complex there” from the corner of your eye you see Simon visibly stiffened, but he doesn’t say anything as he pulls away from the curb. The ride is mainly quiet, neither one of you having much to say. As you get closer to your apartment your anxiety starts to grow again. What if he tells you to get rid of it?
Is that what you wanted? What if he decided he would rather give it up for adoption? Would he help you find a family? Maybe he would tell you he didn’t want anything to do with a baby? Could you deal with a baby? Bile burns in the back of your throat, and you try to swallow it back down. You weren’t about to throw up all over his nice truck. The grimy bathroom of a bar was one thing, but Simon’s leather interior of his car was not an option. Simon turns down a side street, there weren’t many streetlights on this stretch of the drive. You try to focus on the passing shadows but the rolling and twisting in you hug doesn’t let up.
“Can you pull over please?” You whisper, and Simon glances at you. Your hands bunched in the fabric of your coat, your eyes closed as you take deep breaths. Simon eases the car over, barely putting the car in park before you flung the door open and hop out. You move a few feet into the woods, your hands scraping against the tough bark of a tree, as you get sick. Bile burns your throat and nose, tears stream down your cheeks.
Warm hands gather the hair from your face and hold it back. Holding your hair back with one hand the other rubs up and down your back. It takes several minutes of dry heaving for you to be able to stand up. A handkerchief is suddenly floating in front of you. You take it and wipe your mouth with it, shoving it into your pocket after.
“You okay?” Simon asks, as you take a deep breath.
“Yeah, I’m okay, sorry..” you mumble, as you turn back to the car and climb back in. Simon doesn’t say anything as he climbs in and continues to drive to your apartment. As he parks his car, he glances around, his eyes resting on the boarded up windows of the glass door.
“Everything okay?” You ask, noticing as he stares at the glass like he’s trying to get it to tell him what happened to it.
“Yeah. Sorry, let’s go inside,” he mumbles, climbing out and coming to your side. He pulls open your door and offers you a hand. You walk towards the building Simon’s entire body is tense as some residents barrel out of the door. They’re shouting and swearing as they stumble out, a lit cigarette dangling from their fingers. Simon pushes you behind him, as they pass, he watches as they head over to a parked car and continue arguing in front of it.
“They’ll stop arguing after a while. They do this often..” you mutter to Simon as you take his hand pulling him towards the door. He grunts and follows you up the three flights of stairs to your apartment. You hesitate, your hand on the knob as you take a deep breath. Entering was always the hardest part now, every time your hand touches the handle the images of your family break through the mental box you shoved them into. You let out the breath you were holding and pushed open the door. Flicking on the light switch next to the door.
Your eyes falling on the empty couch against the far wall in the living room. Some of the tension leaves your shoulders as you stare at the threadbare fabric. You step further into the apartment allowing Simon to slip in behind you. He turns the locks on the door, and reaches down unlacing his boots.
“I don't have much to offer.. Is water okay?” You ask as you shrug off your alcohol stained coat. The fabric is a sticky mess, the fabric ruined from the drink spilt on it at the bar. Tossing it onto the counter, you head over to the cabinet and take down two glasses.
“Water is okay,”  Simon walks into your living room and takes a seat. He watches you fill the two glasses with water and you come and sit on the other side of the couch, handing him the glass.
“When did you find out?” Simons asks, taking his face mask off and shoving it into his pocket and taking a sip of water.
“This afternoon… I went in to get my birth control shot and they make you do a pregnancy test…” You pull your legs up to your chest, holding the glass of water in one hand. The other hand wraps around your shins keeping them pulled up to your chest.
“Did they tell you how far along you are?” He asks, “So we know what our options are, I mean.”
“They said based on the blood work, 12 weeks. But I have to go in to get an ultrasound next week..”
“Okay, so we don't have a lot of time to make a choice… have you thought about what you want to do?” Simon sets his glass down on the table next to the couch.
“I .. I don't know.. I was waiting to hear what you had to say before I made up my mind.” You mumble, your eyes trained on a spot of carpet that is fraying.
“If I'm being honest, I never wanted kids. They were never in my cards… I'm not saying I don't like them, kids are great, I just never pictured myself having any,,” he admits.
Your heart sinks.
Here we go, he's going to tell you to get rid of it, and tell you to delete his number, forget he exists and move on with your life.
“But, with you, it feels right.. There's just something about you that I can't get out of my head and at the risk of sounding like a total barbarian. The thought of having you in my life until I die because of this baby fills me with excitement. I wanted to go after you when you snuck out of my apartment but I didn't want you to be uncomfortable. The night I spent with you was one of the best nights I've ever had. So if you would like to, I would love the chance to raise this baby with you. Even if it's as friends and nothing more. Because I know that you were put into my life for a reason, and I'm going to take any chance I can get to keep you around,” Simon finishes, his hand coming to rest on your ankle.
You sit there for a few moments, mind reeling with everything he just said to you. He wanted to raise a baby with you? Just so he could get to know you? Did you really have that much of a profound effect on him? Would he still feel the same when he found out what had happened to you? Could you do this? I mean really do this?
Babies are huge commitments. They were for life; there was no backing out. But the way Simon was looking at you, like he would take on the world for you with barely knowing you. It made you feel like you could do it. As long as you didn't have to do it alone, well, at least not completely. You chew on your bottom lip for a few more minutes, the thoughts rolling around in your head as Simon's eyes trail around your apartment.
“Okay…” you finally whisper and Simon's head whips towards you.
“Okay?”
“Yeah, okay. I-i don't think i can get rid of it anyway… The thought makes me feel sick,” you confess and the tension in Simon's shoulders all but disappears.
“Alright, we can figure this out. No pressure for us to be together, we can just start by becoming friends, and seeing where things go okay?” He smiles, and its a real genuine smile. Your heart stutters in your chest, and you can't help your own smile that spreads across your lips.
“If we’re being honest here,” you sigh, wringing your hands together in your lap,”I couldn't stop thinking about you either… I mean, even before all… yeah.. You know.”
Simon's hand comes over to rest on the side of your face, and he leans forward pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. “I'm glad to hear that I wasn't the only one with lingering thoughts,” he chuckles.
Simon drops his hand and looks around your place once more, a furrow deep in his brow. He opens his mouth to say something but thinks better of it, before he notices the time on the clock hanging on your wall. It was almost 10 and he needed to check over his gear before he shipped out in the morning.
“I hate to do this… but I have to go,” his lips pulled down into a thin straight line.
“Oh right.. You told Price you would see him in the morning…”
“Yeah… Look, i can't tell you much, but i don't know how long i’ll be gone…” he looks around, and grabs the notebook you write your ideas for articles down in and scribbles on a spare piece. “This is my number, i won't promise i’ll respond while i'm away, but if anything happens, call this number 3 times in a row and you’ll get through to someone who can get a message to me okay? But that is only for emergencies, otherwise just text me and i’ll do my best to get back to you, alright?” He tears the paper out, coming to stand in front of you. He presses the paper into your hand. It crumples slightly as you close your hand around it.
“Okay,” you murmur, looking up at him from your spot on the couch. His fingers crush along your cheek as he brushes a strand of your hair back from your face.
“Be safe, keep the door locked… i’ll be back soon and we’ll go do something fun and get to know each other.” Simon smiles, as he takes a few steps backwards towards the door.
“I’ll hold you to it,” you smile, “Be safe out there.”
The only response is the soft click of the door.

Just wanted to leave this out here because I've seen it mentioned a few times in your posts. Please ignore it it makes you uncomfortable!
Just imagining Price wearing lingerie or other feminine articles of clothing around the house/in the bedroom when he’s with you— something that you no doubt had to convince him of at first because he was too shy/embarrassed to actually want to do, insisting that he was “too old” and that the clothes were too “feminine” for him to be wearing. After tons of coaxing and lots of promises about not taking pictures (a total lie, wink wink) of him though, he reluctantly dorns on this pretty, frilly piece of lingerie that you suspiciously already had lying around at the back of the closet, which of course, after tons of teasing and foreplay, leads to the most mind blowing sex this man has ever had.
Just imagining Price wearing these pieces only in the privacy of your shared bedroom at first, but eventually, he finds himself enjoying how it the lingerie/clothes feels against his skin, the strange sort of comfort it gives him, and how it makes him feel small and cute— pretty, even. He soon finds himself starting a whole collection of pretty/fem clothes that he wears around the house. It's the only thing he wears when he gets back home from a long, stressful day back at base. Some days, he even wears a pair of frilly panties as well a pair of stockings (maybe even a bralette to hold those huge bazongas of his) underneath his uniform. It makes him so horny and yet so undoubtly embarrassed at the same time. Because here he is, a thirtyish - fourtyish year old man (and the Captain of a taskforce at that) wearing underwear meant for a girl. What would people say if they caught him?
Just imagine all the ways he’d tease you as well! Him purposfuley bending down to pick something up and intentionally giving you a peek of pretty pink lace from underneath his pants, or wearing a sexy little black dress that hugs all his curves and fat and that pushes up his cleavage. I swear, this man is giving me fucking brainrot. 😩
Anonie I have waited to post this bc I didn’t wanna reveal my Drabble idea so early BUT PLA KNOW this was one of the most beautiful asks bc YES YES YES.
I need price who comes home from work irritated and stressed only to have the tension bleed away once he puts on a lingerie and one of your old shirts and he looks absolutely fucking lovely in it cheeks matching the same color of the lingerie, looking so cozy in your shirt while cuddling up to you and even though he’s not even trying to tease you cant help but feel your cock twitch to life when he straddles your lap and nuzzle your neck
ALSO PRICE IN HEELS??:?;?: price wearing those and using them to step on you? Going from all shy and careful about sharing how much he loves wearing them how pretty he feels in them to straight up pushing the heels up against your cock watching you grunt out in pain while also getting hard

Drop Them Bones Chapter 9: Hard and Fast
This one's a doozy...
Hard and Fast
To be sure of, without a doubt, without debate History: In seafaring times, the term ‘hard and fast’ was used to describe a vessel that was beached on land and unable to be moved. [Don’t lie. Absolutely none of us thought it meant that. None of us.]
So, funny thing. Since posting Chapter 8, I had a wonderful long weekend in Manhattan, followed by the worst stomach flu I’ve gotten in at least a decade. Then, after a few weeks recovering from that, I partially dislocated my knee and sprained my MCL. Full damage assessment still TBD in a couple months, but I have a care plan for now.
What I’ve posted as Chapter 9 was supposed to be ten pages max plus additional scenes, and then this happened. So, I have 6k words of Chapter 10 already because I split Chapter 9 in half, and I’ve had the final scene in Chapter 10 (originally intended for Chapter 6, hah!) written for the last three months…
I currently have 9 more chapters planned out, but as this adventure has shown me, that’s more like guidelines. This chapter would have been out sooner, but reference above, and in retrospect, this chapter’s title also describes me in seafaring times right now…
Notes
At least I’m recuperating and back to excessive research spiraling:
If you have the equipment, time, and inclination, you too can om a gator nom. I have only ever outsourced my gator dining experience to trustworthy restaurants, because I’m happy to compensate people accordingly for their labor and gator meat is fucking expensive to have shipped up north.
I’ve mostly encountered alligator fried or in etouffees in restaurants, and if you can’t source alligator or just think they’re too cute to eat (look at them faces!), they do taste like a fishy chicken, but less swampy than frog, and have the consistency of a pork chop. So, imo, you can substitute either white chicken meat or pork to about the same effects in all the recipes except the whole smoked gator. Alligator meat is very lean and easy to dry out, though (flashbacks to straw-like fried, breaded nonsense on that one trip to Florida…) The Daily Beast has an article from 2019 that goes into more detail on taste, etc. I’m not going to link to any of the butchering videos I watched to make this fic, but if you’re interested, deermeatfordinner on Youtube has a good one.
And yes, in true Louisiana fashion, the state government does have an alligator cookbook available in PDF for free. The final page notes that funds for it came from both Florida and Louisiana, and the most approximate publication date I can find for it is 1994. Its text, graphics, and ingredients definitely look like something from the 80s or 90s…
I was not tracking that discarded crocodile and alligator fat can be used to produce biodiesel at competitive prices…
I went down a lot of interesting 1700-1800s sailing history that involved the provisions given per day to British Navy sailors, how much salt was needed to brine 100 lbs of meat, and how the brining process actually worked (floating eggs and meats, oh my!) The average alligator yields about 40 lbs of meat, so all the proportions and weights for applegators came from multiplying that by three, then adding on more layers of fat than an alligator would have because applegators can also go out in the deep sea. Yes, I know this is a fanfic for fantasy pirates on an imaginary planet. If Oda-sensei can say they’re all stronger because gravity, I can make chonky applegators.
Curing meat Wikipedia article; Quora entry (of all things) on sailor provisions; Colonies, Ships and Pirates blog; and an NIH paper with some science of curing meats; plus a definition of pellicle; and some historical pre-refrigeration context.  Salting meat Wikipedia article and smoking meat Wikipedia article. And of course, once the fancy bougie restaurants start using salt water, it’s cool again.
If you don’t have a smoker at home, here’s a stove-top smoked salmon recipe that could work with any type of fish (though, I don’t think a sweet cure would really go with white fish).
How to dehydrate food without a dehydrator ideas
Making a ground oven: I actually learned about this technique back in anthropology of food, as it’s one of the oldest cooking methods that we know of, and I’ve always wanted to try it. Darn you, local fire ordinances.
Random fandom trivia: If you’re a fan of 911 Lone Star, you may remember the first (I think) season episode of a family ground cooking in their backyard and their racist neighbor being a dick about it then getting a righteous comeuppance from the team. Is it over the top justice? Yes. Is the drama hilarious? Also, yes.
They use a technique in this chapter that I based off a New England clambake set up. Mainly, a pit on the beach with seaweed, hot rocks, and a wet sail over top, covered with sand. General bake concepts and times came from here (if you can read it through that horrible font…)
Sustainably harvesting seaweed.  Modern Farmer has a pretty informative newsletter I’ve been subscribed to for a couple years – It’s an interesting read if you’re into agriculture news (food-related technology, regulations, innovations, etc.) and like to know more about your food supply chain.
I didn’t know how to make sausage before. Behold, basic sausage tutorial!
Recipes bludgeoned in the making of this chapter:
I have never cooked gator meat or a whole pig, but here are recipes that sound like horrifying fun:
Whole Smoked Gator
But also, whole pig ground cooked
Kalua Pork
Alligator Jerky

So, this is the first part. It's the first time I write something so long, especially in English. It's not my first language so be nice ahah.
TW: swearing cursing bad words. I'm serious, I don't want to be responsible for you, kids, swearing. Also it's kind of sad. So don't read it if you don't like sad things. :(
--------- Roots of your problems : part 1
- Is it painful?
- What? To marry?
He chuckled loudly, yet he silenced himself fastly, as if it helped for her not to get offended by her little stupid question. But she felt so stupid for asking that to him. How could someone who’s never been married tell her how is that to be married? Well, atleast that's what Clef always said. ”I've never been married”. Alto lies a lot. Like, all of her childhood he used to lie, and lie, but somehow she doesn't think that it's one of his lies. How can a man like him lie about being married? He doesn't look like he has a wife or kids at all. And Marzia felt an embarrassment by asking something so stupid from a man who aren't even able to fall in love (at least that's what she thought about him and that's what she said to her)
And she was twelve once. She doesn’t go to school. When your adoptive parent works for a super-top-secret organisation and your sibling starts college to get a job at the same organisation it’s not like you have time or an opportunity to live a normal life. To be honest, it was ok for her to get an education at home. Marzia never liked other people, it was tiring to even be at the same room (it wasn’t the same with Michelle or Alto. Maybe it's because they’re not, exactly, ”people”?). People are gross. They're loud, they're stupid, they're nosy and Marzia didn't like them at all. Some of them were tolerable enough, like Glass. Their visits were long and she got used to him.
- She needs to socialise. You know how is it important for her age…Michelle, you have to…
- I know that. You see, she doesn't want to. She doesn't even pay attention to me, it's like I'm dead to her. I'm so, so fucking tired.
No. No, that's not true, she doesn't see him dead. Why did he say that? Maybe that's because she doesn't notice him sometimes? But that's not on purpose, that's just how her brain works, that's it. Sometimes it's just hard to talk, but he is dear to her. If only she was able to tell, things would be easier.
When she turned eighteen, she realised, that it's hard to find friends in the Foundation. Marzia didn't have even one, but somehow, she ended up in a group of pathologists. That's how she met Clem, who just got out of college straight to the Foundation. She was older, she was fun and she was like a star. Like a sun, but Marzia is nothing but a moon. She's not even a fucking planet, she doesn't deserve any of her warmth, but yet, somehow, she's here for her. So they're friends, for the first time Marzia had a friend who wasn't looking at her like she was a burden.
Oh, how she tried to shapeshift. She had a great example to follow, it was easy to pretend to be someone she wasn't. She tried to wear makeup and bright, extravagant clothes, she was unhinged, she was loud and sometimes it was too much of her in the room and she felt embarrassment when her laugh was just a bit, just a bit off. It’s like she was laughing a little bit longer and louder and somehow, she found herself crying while laughing. Because she couldn’t stop. She was trying, but she was laughing and laughing while tears are rolling down her cheeks.
And Marzia, stupid, little Marzia, Marzia with no friends at the age of eighteen, Marzia with no goals for the future, Marzia, who's life for the next fifty years is gonna be this stupid, concrete base, dusty shelves full of books and articles and paragraphs she'll never be able to understand, she was so lucky to have someone at her side, to have a person, the only person in the whole world who LOVES her and doesn't even wait to be loved back. And she was grateful, and she was trying so much to not be this stupid, little Marzia with her stupid socialising problems.
And they're sitting in front of fireplace. It's almost midnight and Clef and Michelle are already sleeping in their rooms. Clef doesn't like Clementine, neither does Michelle, but still, he allowed them to have a sleepover, and they're talking till the midnight and they're laughing and hushing at each other and Marzia knows that Clef is not sleeping. He's waiting. It's like he felt all this shit that was hiding inside Clem, he knew it. He felt it. But Marzia didn't care at all, he can think what he wants, she liked her. Even if she's evil. Even if they're doomed as a couple, and it won't be the last time it happened to Marzia.
- I want to show you something. Can I...uhh...trust you? Can I?
Clem nodded without saying a word. Her dark brown eyes reflected gold from a fire next to her. She was in flame herself, she was that flame from a fireplace. The only one who understands her. Her only friend. Her lover. And her eyes got wider as something tickled her ear as Marzia tucked hair behind it. Marzia handed her a flower. And Clementine knew about Michelle. She knew everything about her family, everyone did. And her face acquired a grimace of regret. She stood up immediately.
- I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I can't. I don't want to...Shit, why did you do that to me? You know how complicated it's gonna be. I thought you aren't...you can't...warp...- She got silent, pursing her lips. And Marzia knew, she wasn't able to deal with a reality bender. She didn't want to have problems, to be in danger and to have her family and her friends in danger. And more, she didn't love Marzia back. She liked her, yes, but she didn't love her.
- I'm sorry. I'll call a taxi.
And Marzia is looking at her. And a big, painful lump got stuck in her throat.
- Marzia.
- Yes?
She was hoping so much that she'll change her mind.
- I won't discuss it ever again. And I don't want to talk again. Please, leave me alone, ok?
The door closed.
And the first abnormal spot ended, pulling her out of her own memories.
Now Layla is here.
- We got everything we wanted. Let's get out of here.

Proud of you.
This story contains: dirty talk, praising, dumbification (but not really), oral (f receiving), fingering (f receiving)
Tumblr media
You’re almost done writing your article on how Simone de Beauvoir inspired second wave feminism, while Harry leans against the doorway, staring at you with a sentimental look on his face. You add the finishing touches and finally take off your glasses as you catch his eyes on you. You smile in response to his affection glance and ask him to come closer.
“I know you were pretty exited about this one. I just finished it and now you can read it.” You say in a tired voice, to which he leaves a kiss on your forehead and whispers “So proud of you, baby. I lit the candles and filled the bath for you to relax there and have a good time while I read your article.” You look at him with teary eyes as you say a quiet “Thank you so much, H”
After spending a hour in bathroom, you walk into your master bedroom to find Harry closing his laptop with a proud smile on his face. You approach to bed, as Harry takes your hand in his and leaves gentle kisses on your knuckles. “Worked so hard on it, darling. I must say it was worth it, your article is amazing. This one is very important and meaningful. It’ll definitely be a success!”
He pulls you into a soft kiss, running his fingers through your hair and playing with it exactly how you like it. When he starts sucking gently on your bottom lip, his hands go down and slip under your t-shirt to squeeze your breasts.Harry places his thumbs on your already hard nipples and starts rubbing them. You gasp right into his mouth at this, making him chuckle at your reaction.
Between kisses he mutters “My..smart girl..so proud of you”, knowing perfectly well that you need some genuine praise and encouragement. “My angel..just let me take care of you..” you let out a soft whimper at his words. You feel yourself getting wet from his hands, caressing your sensitive spots, as well as from his gentle voice with which he speaks to you.
He says “Stick your tongue out for me, baby” and you follow his request immediately, to which he smirks. He sticks out his too and starts to kitten lick yours, moving up and down the slippery surface of your tongue. Harry’s tongue circle around yours as you mumble “Harry, please..need you to finally touch my pussy.” He slips his hand into her panties and lets out a groan, “Fuck, honey. You’re already dripping for me, huh? I love it when you get so wet for me.”
Harry places soft pecks on your tummy and all the way down your hips, as you lie on your back and try to calm down and focus on feelings. He smooths you, moving his hands up and down from your thighs to knees as he coos “You're always handling so much, let me help you relax, baby.”
He leaves a lot of wet kisses on your inner thighs before placing one right on your little clit. Your whole body gives a jerk at the first light kiss and you let out a muffled whimper. “Let it all go, my love, no worries, just focus on my tongue and fingers” he coos ever so sweet and loving that you blush at his words. “I know you're smart, baby, but for right now, I just want you to be pretty and dumb for me, okay?” You quickly nod in response, as he starts to licking up your folds and slit to collect your arousal and bring it up to your sensitive clit. You run your hands through his hair, letting out little sighs and moans, to which he groans against your pussy.
“H, it feels so good, please..keep going, please”, you always liked to beg, although you knew that he’d do what you ask anyway . He looks up at you with complacent smile and mutter “love how desperate you’re for me, baby. I love the sounds you make when you’re lost in pleasure and can’t hold back”
Harry slides two fingers inside your vagina and starts curling his fingers slowly and gently at the same pace for a few minutes to let you adjust. He adds a little more pressure, trying to find your g-spot. You let out a load, involuntary moan when you feel that his fingers are rubbing your sensitive spot inside you, and his tongue licking your clit in gentle circles. He can feel your walls clench his fingers and your breathing quickens, as you mewl “Oh, Fuck..Harry”
Knowing that you’re getting closer to your orgasm, Harry starts sucking your clit. His mouth repeats long-learned methods that always get you off. His fingers press on the spot inside again and again, as he doesn’t stop sucking. You squirm and can't stop panting, turning into a sweaty, whiny mess. Your back arches and your hands grabbing the sheets as you cry out “Shit shit. I’m gonna…gonna come, fuck. Close..”
“Come on, baby. Cum for me like a good girl you are” he coos, and his words make your eyes roll back to your head. Your legs tremble and your breathing becomes heavy, and at the end you let out a desperate moan of release.
Harry is back with a wet cloth to clean you up. He sits down between your spread legs and gently wiping your swollen and sensitive vagina, while he coos “did so good for me. My angel, I'm so proud of you!”

PLEASE GIVE US WHAT WE WANT (TAYLOR VERSE TALKING ABOUT RUMORS)
sighs. (if i get bullied off of tumblr.com .. ur all coming with me)
when the article first drops, you have to stifle a laugh. matty and taylor are no strangers to dating rumors, but seeing a headline about the two of them makes your skin heat and your stomach flip. so you laugh to ease unhinged green monster that's on your back. you know it's not true, you're literally sat in front of taylor drinking an aperol spritz in italy. there's no way. (she's also grossly uninterested especially after hearing what went down with the two of you in the states, which kind of spurred the whole girls trip but that's besides the point).
it still stings though; looking at the person you had so viciously claimed as yours (even if it was just to yourself) being linked up with your best friend. and it's poorly timed. your life had been blissfully matty free for weeks. it was your own doing seeing as you blocked his number and on all social media platforms possible, but now here you are trying to ward of misplaced jealousy with alcohol and sunshine.
taylor makes light of it over lunch and you two share a laugh about the timing of it all. it helps to ease the fire in you, makes swallowing the pill of acceptance a little bit easier.
he calls later that night. well, you recieve a call from george and when you answer there's heavy breathing on the line until you roll your eyes, "george? what's up?"
"i need to talk to you."
matty.
you inwardly groan, but it must have slipped out because he only sighs.
"i'm hanging up, matty." his name feels foreign on your tongue, syllables that haven't been uttered together in weeks. his voice still makes you tense up, still has your heart racing a bit in your chest.
"no. i mean, please don't," he murmurs feebly.
"what is it then?" you're growing impatient and you're unsure if its in yourself for not just biting the bullet and hanging up or at him for his long winded round about way to get a sentence out. "i don't have all day."
"taylor and i aren't dating," matty breathes, "just wanted you to know that before you see it."
you laugh, embittered, "i've seen it already. and i know. i'm with her right now."
he curses under his breath, "i'm not on speaker, am i?"
"no."
"okay good."
it's silent, aside from the sound of his feet hitting the floor on the other side of the phone. he's pacing, and by the sounds of it, the phone is shuffling under his ear as he ruffles his hair. you hear the click of a lighter and an inhale.
"i'm not that much of a dick, y'know? wouldn't go after your friend after you ended things-"
"matty. i mean this in the nicest conceievable way possible: i really don't care," you interupt, but he keeps going.
"like you know i'm not a dick. i'm just wired differently, and i do some stupid shit a lot of the time. but fucking your friends and stuff would not be one of them- oh."
"we haven't spoken in weeks. and this is what you call me about? a stupid rumor?" you can practically see him wince in your head. you do feel bad, but not bad enough to take back what you said at least. he'd dug his own grave, and now it was his turn to lie in it and face any repercussions he had garnered from it. "listen, i'm sorry people are being rude to you on the internet but i meant it when i said i didn't want to see or hear from you ever again."
"i was just trying to-"
"prove to me that you're not a dick, i get that," you sigh, "but you're about four weeks late on that one."
you hang up after that, not wanting to listen to his endless and ill-fated apologies. if he was actually sorry, he would've reached out sooner, made an effort at least. instead, he's popped your "matty-free bubble" and its taking every last fiber of your being not to call him back and let him spew it all on you. you would consume every lie he ever spun you happily if you could just have your own peace of mind back. because he might not be dating taylor, but that doesn't mean there won't be others.
it's a hard pill to swallow; looking at something that was so uniquely yours as it fades out of view. but you do it anyway for your own solitude.

HYBE and Min Hee Jin Round 3...
Things are getting really messy between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, who is getting sued by her employer. She did a press conference today, playing the victim and showing her bruised ego (which seems to be the main cause of this whole fiasco). It was embarrassing to the point of me feeling bad for her lawyer, who tried to stop her from talking nonsense and hurling insults at everyone.
Tumblr media
Apparanetley her trying to go independent and backstabbing HYBE, while simultaneously accusing all the sub-labels of copying her ideas, wasn't bad enough, we now know she really is dumb trusting shamans to advise her on business deals. She was crying during the press-con saying: “I feel like they all want me to die. If I suddenly die, will everyone be happy? That’s honestly what I think. I don’t read all the articles and comments. If I do, I can’t live. I wonder if anyone can handle this much distress in a short period of time.” She added, “I am also human, and it’s not confirmed that I’m guilty. I think I’m innocent.” Mind you, she caused all this mess herself and is now getting sued by HYBE who will likely destroy her.
To this point, HYBE is not innocent in this debacle either, they gave her a label, gave her 20 % company shares, gave her Source Music trainees, gave her free control over NewJeans and are now also acting like victims. Those guys enabled her behavior and are now surprised she would try to go independent. Min Hee Jin also addressed some HYBE accusations, like her saying BTS copied her ideas. “Everything that HYBE is saying is a lie. I’ve never said BTS copied me. I want to ask HYBE why they made everything like this and try to ruin me”. Because you tried to go against the company?
I believe that part though, HYBE is playing dirty games here trying to get every fandom to attack her, but again, she caused this herself, when she publicly stated that ILLIT was a copy of NewJeans (which is true, but you don't say that ish out loud).
She also said, she had nothing to do with Source Music disbanding G-Friend, which I also believe. That was a money decision, they wanted a new group that could become a million seller, so LE SSERAFIM was born, and since BTS was going on army hiatus, they needed new groups quick to fill the void. However, pedo Min Hee Jin wouldn't be herself without also mentioning that NJ Minji was the only Source Music trainee she liked (the others were too old), and that she was even prettier when she was younger. She makes it so easy to hate her. MHJ was also majorly pissed that LE SSERAFIM debuted before NewJeans, which became a huge issue internally in the company.
In the press-con she also repeatedly called herself the mother of NewJeans, and that she gave birth to the group. “NewJeans and I have something more than what you would know. They always tell me that they thank me and love me. Hanni told me that she’d come over to me. Haerin is usually like a cat and doesn’t speak a lot, but she called me and told me that she couldn’t come up with the words to text me. She said that she just wanted to hear my voice. Haerin cried for 20 whole minutes” Min bursts into tears. “She told me that she thanks me so much because I helped her through hard times. She said that she wants to tell everyone what happened. The members’ mothers are so worried that I’m going to kill myself. But why would I? I’m going to say everything that I have in my heart. Do you know what Park Ji-won said to the mothers? He said that he’s not going to talk to them, just to ADOR. And they say that they care about NewJeans? I don’t care whether they sue me for libel.” - She's so fucking creepy, as if she didn't make the girls sing "Cookie".
She also went full egomaniac, saying: “It’s not me that turned my back on HYBE, it’s HYBE that betrayed me. It used me to the fullest and now wants to take me down because I don’t listen to them. No one has done what I have done during the 30 years in K-pop. But HYBE is trying to kill someone who’s done what I have as the head of a subsidiary. I’m the only one in the history of the entertainment industry to have reached such results in 2 years, my only crime is being good at my own job.”
At this point, I just feel bad for the idols and staff caught in between all this. HYBE is greedy and wanted their own NewJeans and MHJ tried to backstab her own bosses - now things are falling apart. NJ has a comeback in May too, no idea how this will end for them and whether they will stay at HYBE or go with "mom" MHJ.

A Mark All Your Own: Sharp Teeth
Pairing | Dean Winchester x female!reader
Warnings | Mark of Cain, angst, smut
Word count | 1,833
Prompt | Episode “Sharp Teeth”
A/N | I like writing from Dean’s POV, so I thought I might alternate that in this “series” every now and then. And since I couldn’t come up with a way to work the reader into this canonically, here we are.
“Dean!” I dropped the spatula on the counter carelessly, jogging towards the war room. She didn’t sound in trouble, but then again, it never mattered what I was doing; she calls, I come running.
I turned the corner, seeing her in front of her laptop. I walked up behind her, resting my hands on her shoulders, kissing the top of her head. “Yeah?”
She pointed at the article on the screen, and I leaned forward to read it. I turned to her, seeing the same shocked expression on her face I knew was on mine. “You think it’s Garth?”
She nodded, “Yeah, I think it might be. Should we go?”
I pulled out the chair next to hers, and picked up her small hands in mine. “Y/N/N, I think it’s better if you stay here, do some more searching for Abaddon.” She jerked her hands out of mine, folding her arms in front of herself. I knew she wasn’t going to take that well.
“Seriously? Dean, I’m fine.” I sighed, loudly, and ran my hand down my face.
“I know you’re fine, but sweetheart…”
“Don’t sweetheart me,” she snapped, and rolling my eyes without thinking didn’t seem to help, based on the scowl that followed.
“Y/N, this isn’t about you being fine, alright? We don't know jack about the Mark, or what Cain was warning you about, and after Kevin, I just…” I trailed off, trying to find words that wouldn’t offend her skills as a hunter.
“You want me to be safe,” she finished for me, her voice quiet. “I get it, Dean, I do, but I can’t just sit around here until we gank the bitch.”
“I know, I know. But this isn’t a hunt, it’s trying to find out what the hell happened to Garth. I’ll be back in a day. Can you please just do this for me?” I tried to copy Sam’s signature puppy-dog eyes, and she bit her lip trying not to laugh in my face.
“Fine,” her eyes rolled. “I will keep searching here, but you call me. A lot. And if you need help…”
“I will ask. Thank you, sweetheart,” I said honestly, more than a little relieved. I was worried about Sammy out there already, Kevin’s death was still a knife stuck in my chest, and I just needed to know she was somewhere safe, protected. I couldn’t lose her too.
She was looking at me strangely, so I leaned forward to kiss her before she could open that beautiful mouth and I’d have to lie, tell her I was fine.
Two days later…
I missed Y/N somethin’ bad, but for the first time, I wasn’t looking forward to her waiting at home for me. I’d only actually spoken with her twice, the last telling her we were wrapping up and I was heading back. As usual, it didn’t work out that way. I texted her that much, but ignored the call that followed. I wasn’t going to beg her to stay put in front of Sammy, and invite more questions about her, the Mark, and the next step.
It all went downhill from there. I tried to call after we cleaned up the wolf problem, but that time, she didn’t answer, so I texted to let her know we were fine, going to grab a couple hours and then I’d be back. Nothing. I tried to call before we left to meet Garth, but all I got back was a single text. Glad you’re alive. My Y/N had a temper that matched mine, but I couldn’t think of another time she was this pissed.
We walked into the war room to find her with her boots propped up on the table, swinging around a butterfly knife.
“Welcome home, Sam,” she said coolly, her eyes not leaving the blade she was twirling in the air.
“Yeah, um, hey,” he stuttered back, taken aback by her attitude. “I’m gonna go, we’ll catch up in the morning?” She gifted him with a tight smile and a nod, and Sam bolted down the hall towards his room.
Lucky bastard.
“Things good with Garth?” she asked, still not looking at me. I knew she was mad, but this was a whole new level, considering this wasn’t the first time she was benched on a hunt for one reason or another. I stepped toward her with the same caution I’d give pretty much anything we hunt.
“Uh huh…you wanna put the knife down for me, sweetheart? Makin’ me a little nervous,” I asked, trying to break the tension. I moved to drop my duffle on the table, freezing when she slammed her knife tip into the tabletop. “So, you’re mad.”
She finally looked at me, planting her feet on the ground in front of her, and leaned forward. “Mad? No, no, Dean, I’m not mad. I was terrified,” she shot back. “You told me you were coming home, everything was fine, and then I get a text that says,” she pulled out her phone dramatically, “‘Shit, guess we’re not done yet.’ Being your loving girlfriend, I call you to find out what’s up, and you ignored me. I’m a hunter, I get it, fine, he’ll call me right back.”
I ran my hand down my face as she leaned back, throwing her hands up. “And you did, sure. Five hours later. You know what I did in those five hours, Dean?” She looked at me expectantly, and I just sighed. “I got angrier and angrier at myself for letting you go without me, until I got my shit together and left. I was about an hour outside of Lebanon when you called.” She was still seething as she fell silent, glaring at me. I leaned on the war table, facing her, guessing at what the least moronic thing I could say would be.
I failed miserably. “Being terrified for someone isn’t so fun, is it?”
She shot up and marched right in front of me, arms crossed, yelling now. “Oh, is this some sort of payback? I took the Mark and scared you, so you let me think you were torn to shreds by a pack of wolves?!”
“Of course not,” I said, pushing down my own anger, doing my damnedest not to make this even worse. “I’m sorry I said that. And that I made you worry. I got wrapped up in the job, it moved pretty quickly after I texted you.”
Her jaw clenched, and I could see her hands tightening into fists against her sides. I gripped the table a little harder, stood up a little straighter, but kept our eyes locked. She was searching mine, looking for something, but I had no idea for what. So she completely took me by surprise when her hands shot out, grabbed my face, and pulled my lips to meet hers. She took complete control, kissing me like she thought it would be our last, and my cock twitched as my blood started flowing south.
I wrapped my hands in her hair, pulling her back just an inch to catch my breath, and I gazed at her, wondering how we got from furious to frisky so quickly. But she didn’t give me any time to think much beyond that, jumping up to wrap her legs around my waist, smashing her lips back to mine. A small part of me thought I should stop this, hash it out and get past it.
She must’ve sensed my hesitation, whispering against my lips, “Just shut up and fuck me.” My upstairs brain took a backseat, and I kissed her back, hard. I spun around, setting her fine ass on the war room table. She grabbed at my flannel, ripping it open and sent buttons scattering on the floor. The sound of the buttons hitting the marble flipped a switch in my mind, reminding me that we weren’t alone in the bunker. I wasn’t about to catch shit from Sammy for this on top of everything else, so I picked her back up, hands bracing her ass and walked to our bedroom, her nibbling at my neck and shoulder the entire way.
I kicked the door shut behind me, and braced her against the wall so I could unbutton her jeans and then my own. My fingers stroked her already soaked pussy, and a groan escaped my throat. I pushed her panties aside, dipping a finger inside her.
“Anytime now, Dean,” Y/N teased. Damn, the girl knew how to get me going. Her soft hand had already freed my hard cock, taking control to rub the head against her wetness. If rough is what she wanted, it was sure as hell what she was going to get.
I pushed her hand aside, lined myself up to her entrance, and thrust upward.
“Yes, like that,” she gasped. I took her lead, pounding into her over and over again, chasing her release. Her body started to shake, so I knew she was close. Circling her clit with my thumb, her trembling grew. I knew I couldn’t last much longer either.
“That’s my good girl, come for me, Y/N/N,” I panted, knowing it would be her undoing. Her pussy gripped me tight, and that was my cue to let go. I could feel every inch of her as I came, my hand slamming against the wall beside her. We were both breathing hard, and I swear I could hear her heart beating wildly. I stared at her in awe as we came down from our highs, trying to gauge if I’d managed to fuck the rage right out of her. She rested her forehead against mine, kissing me once before untangling her legs. I helped her stand, not fully letting go when she wasn’t steady yet.
Y/N placed her palm to my chest, pushing me back. I squinted at her, a little surprised she seemed to have recovered already. I might not be a young man anymore, but I knew her like the back of my hand, and she didn’t usually bounce back this quickly either.
I stared as she walked around me, undressing as she walked to bed and pulled the covers back. She slipped her gorgeously naked body between the sheets and asked, “You coming?”
I shook the shock from my mind, chalking it up to makeup sex, and followed suit. She settled into my side, resting her cheek on my bare chest. I threaded my hand in her hair, and pulled her closer.
“I’m sorry I worried you, Y/N.”
“I know,” she replied. “And?”
“And I won’t sideline you again, I promise.”
“Damn right.”

I want to talk about something today. Something very important for younger people and newer people coming out.
Research with legitimate sources, aka scholarly articles and medical journals/studies. Wiki is not a good source, people can change info at any point true or untrue.
We want to look for articles with medical and area professionals clearly placing their name in and on the article, or the most reliable sources are called scholarly articles and medical journals/studies, also some gender affirming clinics lay out a lot of information on their websites, most clinics dont mind answering your questions or concerns via email or phone (they may get back to you at a later date). When looking for information, you want peer reviewed medical information. Google has these features that can help narrow down your search for more accurate results. Using quotes around exact words or phrases is a trick to narrow down to more on topic search results.
Also, use Google Scholar (just type "Google scholar" into the search bar to find only actual medical articles and studies. Even lawsuits.
This is the google search bar for scholarly information below:
Tumblr media
****READ THE ARTICLE FROM START TO FINISH OR AT LEAST THE PART(S) THAT PORTAIN TO YOUR RESEARCH!(some articles can include more than one study)****
Don't only use one source for your information, find as many as you can until you feel confident in the field of medicines and your concolusions about them. Information you use should be verified by several responsibly written articles, journals, and/or studies.
Call surgeons' offices, ask questions.
Research doctors in your area or a doctor you really like, again don't be afraid to call or email clinics!
When it comes to surgery and your body, if you have a bad feeling, any bad gut feelings before they put you under, about the surgeron or their methods, even team. You can back out until you are knocked out. You can say no as soon as you walk into the surgical suite. You worry about you.
Please, when going onto transgender groups (facebook and stuff), that not everyone is being genuine with you. People can be anything or anyone on the internet, behind that screen. I see trans people spreading anti-transtional propaganda (not on purpose), and they don't notice or know better. The negative people tend to pick out their victims early, cling onto someone newer in transitioning or even just joining the group. They probably try getting chummy really fast, getting into a lot of detail very early. They will start bringing up [negative] transitional things when they have nothing to do with the conversation you are having. It's a red flag when you can't talk about anything but "transitioning," and its a sign you need to block if all they say are negative, things. Life happens, but you don't need to drown yourself in negativity. Beware of people on the internet. Their intent is not always good, anyone can lie, anyone can find fake pictures for their profile, anyone can pretend to be someone they are not. Some of us should know that well as trans folk. Some people are even legitimate and are perhaps mad/ unhappy about their results and tend to use way overly dramatic words to describe their results, these people usually aren't telling you the whole truth. People also tend not to want to put any blame on themselves. If you aren't being honest yourself about your results and what and where things went wrong thats not okay. That,or telling someone not to do something that prevents transitioning or calming their dysphoria, that's considered transphobia.
It's important to also know that Facebook, Twitter, etc. are often looked at by employers, so many people will not use their own profiles to be a imaginary person.
Edit: Yes, transgender people can be transphobic as well. Look up Caitlin Jenner and what she's said and tried to do. Let me tell you now, she said transwomen should not be allowed to compete in sporting events, claiming "allowing transwomen to compete destroys women's sports" . So please, if you use that card, put it back in the deck. It's not true, and it's just a wrong blanket statement altogether. There are people who finish their transition and forget they had the rights they want taken away.
I want you to know and it's important to know many end results almost solely rely on the person and how they take care of themselves pre-op and post-op (yes taking care of your body before matters for optimum results). If you are heavier, your body has a harder time healing. This can cause complications and less favorable results because of those complications. I do have a post on being larger and surgical complications that are involved with that. (Here are some links about plus sized risks and general risks: plus size, general risks)
From Dad Shadow: Remember, don't tell anyone online personal information, even if you have been talking for years. Also, do not place yourself (ex. "Im gunna to go to the Starbucks on fifth around the corner from my house." this is especially bad if they may know your partial location) Someone can figure out your identity/location. Don't reveal anything you'd be asked to use as an account recovery question. When I was a younger adult, I saw someone post an image of a girl he met on 'Omegle', saying, "They accidentally got disconnected." Within two hours, everything about this girl was on this thread... from her name, where she was attending school, her personal address, her Facebook. All of it. It was more than one person looking and posting as well. People can be like this... I know you know, but the Dad in me wants to remind you. Browse safely!
I hope you read this and found it helpful everyone. I felt this is a need and it doesn't need post secondary education classes to teach you how to properly find sourced information for reports (same as your knowledge on the subject you are talking about).
P.s keeping your skin elasticity is very important, so mosturize your pecks, let it dry, then put on your binder.
Stay Golden Everyone ✌️ 💙 💜

This needs to be said
Cancel culture is wrong. End of.
Picking out reasons to hate a person and put them down, is wrong. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Tearing someone down over you not liking something, no matter how justified you think you are, is absolutely and completely wrong.
"But this person did this problematic thing therefore they are a bad person!" Yes, they did. They did something you deem problematic. But they are a human being. There is nuance. There are ALWAYS more sides to a story. There are always nuances, and reasons. And cancelling that person is not going to make anything better. This world is not black and white. There are numerous lies that go around online. People love to focus on the negative, and the news, articles, and others will home in on the negative. They will even lie to get those precious views, clicks, and money. Even major news outlets, so you can’t even trust the news! And, in all reality, you can’t even trust a lot of people because when you decide something is bad and start picking it apart, other people are going to be influenced to see this as worse than it is. And before you know it, somebody who made a mistake is being ripped apart by a dreadful mob mentality tearing apart all the improvement they have done.
I saw it happen, years ago, here on Tumblr. There was somebody who used to be an abusive person. They were manipulative, attention seeking, and generally treated people like shit. They wanted what they wanted, and guilt tripped and the whole nine yards. They realized what they were doing wrong, so they took a hiatus off the internet, worked with therapy, and went through some massive self improvement, and then they came back. They were doing well! They made friends! Their mental health was better.
But then, somebody brought up their past. And they got harassed so badly that… rumor has it? They committed suicide. Now, I don’t know if they actually did, but I do remember they were contemplating and feeling like they shouldn’t even be alive and these hateful people were actively encouraging them to do it and telling them they were a worthless abuser and would always be a worthless abuser.  Making it worse and bringing up every bad thing they ever did. And yeah! They dropped off the face of the internet. And I have never, ever seen them again. Now, I am not saying that you shouldn't warn people if somebody is actually unsafe. Like if they are a known abuser, or a pedophile, or there's something else they have done that risks harming real people in the present.
This needs to be handled with care. You absolutely can warn folks about their actions, to keep people safe, without adding in extra stuff just to get people as angry with them as humanly possible. Warn other folks about the harm they have done and could do, but do NOT turn around and pick every single thing about them apart.
Don't go digging into their past and bringing up stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with what you are warning folks about. This should be done with great care, only taking the most recent proof of actual, real harm.
It is tempting to let emotion take hold. It is tempting to try to make everybody else think you are so good and virtuous for taking that villain down like some comic book super hero, a mighty warrior behind a screen, tapping away at a keyboard.
But, really, is tearing down another human being really something to be proud of? What if what you are accusing them of isn’t true? What if the sources are wrong? What if you are getting the wrong person? What if they’ve learned and grown and become a better person?  What if you are only seeing part of the story? Try to think of how you would feel if you fucked up in the past. Say, for example, you were an abuser. You manipulated people, hurt people. Maybe you were a bully.  But, over life, you have learned that those actions are wrong. You apologized, did what you could to make it right, then removed yourself from the people you hurt. You grew and learned, you became a better person. You found new friends, using what you learned from your mistakes to keep them and be kind to them this time. You still struggle with shame over what you did, but you are proud of the progress. You are proud of the growth you have gone through, and you are doing your best to continue to learn and grow. Now. Imagine it is years later. You've healed and become healthy and happy, treating people the way they should be treated. Maybe sometimes those old habits come up, but you always push them back down. You apologize when you mess up, and make an effort to learn from your mistakes. It’s slow going, but you’ve come to learn that growth is a slow process. A seed does not become a mighty oak tree overnight.
... And somebody digs up your past because of something or other you did that they deemed problematic. Maybe it was something you did wrong. Maybe you messed up. It wasn't intentional, but what’s done is done, and all you can do is try to avoid that mistake again. Maybe you didn't realize what you did until it was pointed out. Old habits die hard, after all. And no matter how hard you try, sometimes you will slip back. Healing and learning and growing is a slow process. People make mistakes, humans are humans! We are complicated creatures, after all.
But none of that matters. More and more of your past, every little mistake, every little thing folks deem "Questionable" is dragged out and paraded in front of others. All of the past you have worked so hard to grow and learn from is shoved back in your face, a dark shadow you can never escape. The shame, the pain, all of that effort feels like it was for nothing. You become nothing more than the mistakes you made in the past. Maybe those shitty things you did in the past were part of a cycle. Maybe it was learned behavior. Maybe you didn't know it was wrong at the time. That doesn’t change what happened, it doesn’t unhurt the people who were hurt, but you can learn from it and become a better person.
Or, maybe, you didn’t even do anything that bad, or didn't do the thing you are being accused of at all, or it was blown out of proportion with more lies than truth through the grapevine. Or really important details were cut out that make the story sound so much worse than it really is.
Nobody cares about the real story. Nobody cares about your side. Nobody cares about everything you’ve done to move past it, how hard you’ve tried, how much you’ve grown. All they care about is every single bad thing you have ever done in your life, and any other reason they can find to hate you.
It sure does hurt, doesn’t it? Yeah, there are people who are legitimately bad people. People who really have done bad things, or are still doing bad things. People who hurt others. People who don’t care, don’t learn, don’t grow.
But that does not give you the right to tear them down. Because when you tear them down, they don’t even get the chance to actually pick up, learn, and better themselves.
What it all boils down to is that we are all human. We are all confused and confusing furless apes living in an indifferent world making mistakes and screwing up and learning and just trying to make it in life.
Tearing other human beings down does not make you a hero. It does not make you virtuous. It does not make you rise above anybody else. It is cruel, needless, and actively makes things worse.
By all means, make sure folks are informed if somebody is dangerous, but otherwise? Just let it be. Let them live. Let them learn. Avoid them yourself, maybe warn friends about them if you see friends potentially being harmed, but that’s it. Just block and move on.
DON’T attack their livelihood. Don’t attack their friends and family. Don’t attack them. Let them be. Even if that means letting them be somewhere other than near you.
Every single human being alive on this planet has fucked up. Often times, they have fucked up MAJORLY. Sometimes they have done things that hurt other people. Sometimes they have made a string of terrible decisions that ended up leading to a tragic end. But… they’re still human.
What this all boils down to, is this simple thing.
We are not our mistakes. Who we are as a person is not defined by what we do. When you fuck up, you want the chance to improve yourself, right? The chance to make it right. Do you want to be defined by that series of bad decisions you made for the rest of your life? Do you want that to be brought up time and time and time again, and used to drag you down repeatedly?
I didn’t think so.

Strangers in the night - Scarlett Johansson x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Part 12:
As Monday rolled around, Scarlett and I made plans to go out for lunch. We chose a smaller restaurant in the city, it wasn’t very crowded and there was outdoor seating.
We arrived separately, not trying to draw unnecessary attention. As I saw her car pull up, I got out of the car and waited for her to step out.
As soon as we made eye contact, I had a smile on my face. Scarlett looked amazing as always, wearing a simple black long-sleeve shirt with a pair of light jeans.
“Hey,” I said as we finally got close enough. “Hi love,” we shared a quick hug but the lingering touch of her hand on my back was more than friendly. “Did you wait a lot?” Asked Scarlett. “I just got here like five minutes ago.”
Got to our table, and the waitress quickly gave us the menu before leaving us to choose. “How was your day so far? Anything interesting?” She asked as her eyes ran through the different types of food.
“I was writing all night and morning not gonna lie. I’ve written 3 chapters so at least I’ve got some work done,” I said and her eyes quickly shot up from the menu. “You need to sleep honey, jet lag is gonna be hell.” “I know but I had a lot of ideas and I just couldn’t put it down.” “But it’s almost done isn’t it?” Asked Scarlett. “I have one chapter left, I really want to give it a good end.” “I’m sure you’ll do great. And so that means I can read it soon?” She asked with hopeful eyes and a cheeky smile. “I’ll send you the already finished chapters, then the last one. Please, give me your honest review at the end. I need to know if it’s worth the work to put it out,” I sighed and the next second her hand was over mine, on top of the table.
Subtly looked around and I saw no one alarming, so I gently brushed my thumb over the back of her hand before pulling it away. “I’m pretty sure you did an amazing job and I can’t wait to read it,” Scarlett’s smile was genuine and sweet.
“Can I ask you something?” I asked quietly hoping nobody would hear the next part of our conversation. “Yeah, anything.” “I’m sure you’ve seen the articles and stuff, and I just wanted to know if your agent’s had any concerns or mentioned something about us. Because mine had and I just… I don’t know. You have a daughter and I know that you don’t want a short-term relationship and I totally agree with that, and I know it’s too soon to talk about being in a committed relationship or you know something like that. Gosh, I’m rambling, sorry,” I took a deep breath and waited a minute till I spoke again but before I could, I looked at Scarlett who had the biggest smile on her face.
“What?” I murmured and she just chuckled. “Can I say something?” “Please do,” I said pleadingly. “Yes, my agent asked about us. And I told him the truth, we’ve been talking for a while and enjoying our time together and that you were such a plot twist in my life and that uhm… I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend before you left for LA.” As she said the last words I leaned back in my seat and let out a shaky breath.
“Oh god did I ruin the whole thing?” I asked and she shook her head with a cute smile. “I was honestly so nervous that I couldn’t think of anything, so I decided I was gonna buy flowers and a bottle of wine. So no, you didn’t ruin anything.” “I love both of those things very much,” I said with a shy smile. Is she gonna ask me or that was it? Gosh, I’m so fucked.
“Can we take our food to go? I want this to be our thing, not everyone else’s,” said Scarlett, her eyes motioning to the two photographers gathered at the other side of the road. “Very good idea.”
***
Once Scarlett brought some flowers and we successfully got a wine that we both liked we met up at her place.
I had our boxed food and bottle of wine in my hands while Scarlett unlocked her front door. She smoothly opened the locks and then let me in first before closing the door behind herself.
“We could watch a movie or something,” Scarlett suggested as we started to unpack the food and pour wine for the both of us.
“Mhm, anything in mind?” I asked, putting the flowers in some water until I leave. “The devil wears Prada? I haven’t seen that in a while.” “Ooh that’s good, love it.”
***
We settled down on the couch, put the movie on, and with the boxes in our hands and the two glasses of wine patiently sitting on the coffee table, it was the most perfect amount I could wish for.
It has been about half an hour into the movie, when we both finished our dishes and were just cuddled up on the couch, sharing a blanket.
But then Scarlett leaned forward for both of our glasses, handing me mine. She paused the movie and then turned toward me with an adorable smile.
“I have never done this before so please be patient with me,” chuckled the older woman. I took a hold of her free hand and gently squeezed it. “I genuinely don’t know how to express myself without sounding like a complete idiot. But basically what I want to say is that since I’ve known about relationships and everything, I thought I’d end up with a man and when I met you my whole thinking just changed. And you make all of this look so easy and amazing. I have the best time with you, my daughter loves you so much and I see how much you care about her and it makes my heart burst out with happiness. And I like you so so much and you make me feel things I’ve never felt before which is crazy and makes me question every relationship I’ve ever been in. But the point is that I want us to be real and together because I love what we have and want this to be the best and most genuine thing we could have.”
Listening to her words and feelings made me a little teary-eyed because no one expressed their feelings to me like this. So honest and vulnerable. And I quickly realized how fast I started to catch feelings for this woman.
“I’m trying really hard not to burst into tears right now, so I’m gonna say this really quickly,” I said with an embarrassed chuckle.
“I know that we’re gonna get shit from the media and the public for every little detail of our relationship but I honestly don’t care as long as I have you because you are a dream. And I want this just as much as you do. You make me all giddy and stuff which doesn’t happen very often. So I just want to say I’m all in with you, with Rose because you guys are amazing and just… ugh I don’t know, I don’t have words, just come here,” I rambled the last few words before I pulled her close and kissed her with so many feelings and passion.
Her. That’s all I want and to fight for her love and just to be with her.
I had my hand on the side of her cheek while hers was on my side.
Getting rid of the glasses in our hands, Scarlett pulled me onto her lap and we were quick to get rid of every piece of clothing that was separating us.
“So all in?” Asked Scarlett as she pulled away to take a breath.
With a heaving chest and pink cheeks, I smiled widely with a nod. “All in.”

Why are you so quiet? Everyone has gone insane and making up new facts every five minutes, you're usually the first one to lose your patience and lay it down. You're obviously on Chris' side yet you're letting people talk shit about him. You need to say something!!
Tumblr media
I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted. You talk as if I'm some matriarch of the fandom when in fact I'm just a mediocre fanfic writer who is exhausted with this whole debacle and it's barely been two weeks. Nobody listens to me!
Today I saw a magnificent example of both Chinese whispers and alternative facts in this fandom. The person who alleged that CE was at her work for medical imaging, who I suspect was also the author of the now-deleted Reddit post, only tweeted that she had found out he was at her work. I appreciate that many people deleted the screenshots of the tweet as it was a gross invasion of his privacy and a HIPAA violation that, if true, would have very serious consequences for both the tweeter and her employer, and that a lot of people didn't see it. But suddenly people were talking about an actual x-ray or MRI image that had been posted and deleted. There was never an image. That didn't stop a few people from saying they knew someone who had seen it, which adds credence to the rumour despite being a lie due to there never being an image.
A lie can run around the world before the truth has got its boots on - The Truth by Terry Pratchett
We are seeing this in action every single day since the People article. I've seen people make the most outlandish claims. Suddenly, everyone has a friend who knows his flight details or what he ate for dinner. It's utterly demented. It's beyond crazy.
Let's go through all of the utter horse shit I can recall from the past fortnight. Shall we have more bullet points?
It's all PR
They have a contract for two years (how could anyone possibly know this?)
Chris obviously cannot stand Alba anywhere near him
The girl in the park who was forced to delete her Twitter was in on it and planted there to record
Chris has been personally seeking out Tumblrinas to block on Twitter
Narrative PR wrote the deranged fan letters to make the fandom "look crazy" (lol) and garner sympathy for Chris
Literally anyone who sticks up for Chris or Alba is, in fact, Chris or Alba or their moms
Alba wore a halter to WDW to show off her tattoo and be recognised (Really? Who on earth is going to recognise her?)
She only flew into FL to record the video and then left immediately (y'all really don't like them spending time together, huh?)
They are reading every single post every single gossip blog writes and using the comments to make their fake PR relationship more convincing
There's more but this is so exhausting. If you take one thing from this post, let it be this. Take EVERYTHING with a pinch of salt, no matter who posts it and how sure they seem. Sometimes people are right and sometimes they are wrong. This fandom has a nasty habit of voicing their opinions as facts, then others take that and run with it, like today with the medical imaging business.
The fact is, nobody cares whether or not you believe it. But you are devoting hours of your life, every single day, dissecting everything and going around and around in circles and it is not healthy. It is not healthy at all. Take some time off or at least talk about something else.
Someone asked what I personally think is happening with Chris and Alba, so I'll leave you with my thoughts. It's serious. They are in love. I think they'll probably get married sooner rather than later. The laser focused comment was an FYI, telling the fandom that he's going to be taking his foot off the gas and concentrating on his private life for the foreseeable future. Take it with a pinch of salt. 🤷🏽‍♀️

it had only been a few months since elvis showed up at your apartment one day, scaring you close to death then spending an hour trying to convince you that yes he was indeed elvis presley. of course, that's a story for another day. while elvis was at home trying to figure out how to use your tv and smashing buttons on the remote, you were still working at your usual office job. most of your time was spent worrying about whether elvis was actually entertaining himself somehow or just staring at the wall all day. maybe it's time you turn him into a typical ipad kid and let him play candy crush all day.
there was a lot to learn about elvis. you'd spent a lot of time in the past reading books and articles on him and wondering what was true and what wasn't true and being able to talk directly to elvis himself about these things was still something you could barely wrap your head around. he had a lot to learn as well-like a lot. it was still too soon to bring up his life in the 70s but he enjoyed hearing his vegas shows being successful. however, it seemed as if he only wanted to hear about you. not about his future or anything that he doesn't know about back in his time, but just about you. who you were, what you did for a living and the things you liked to do. you're taking your time with him and trying to not think about him possibly disappearing one day.
you're also trying to avoid getting attached to elvis.
you weren't going to lie, elvis was a very attractive man. you always thought that, especially in the 70s. he was always hot! and now seeing him up close? you understood why girls were throwing themselves at him every chance they could. he had such a beautiful personality with a mindset you wish you could have yourself. despite not knowing much about the current world he's in, he knows when you're having a bad day and does his best to cheer you up. whether it's him giving you words of wisdom, a quote from someone he used to know or his attempt at putting on your favorite show, he always did succeed at making your bad days a little better. it was hard trying to not fall for him, but he was making it difficult.
after your shift, you decided to move forward with your mission to turn elvis into an ipad kid and stopped to buy him a tablet as a little, yet expensive gift. truth be told, you'd give him your old one and you'd keep the new one but he doesn't need to know.
you texted elvis that you were on your way back and if he wanted anything. he responded saying he was fine and ended the text with a "From Elvis" which made you giggle slightly, making a mental note to tell him he doesn't need to end every text with his name.
once returning to your apartment, elvis was sat on the floor mindlessly strumming away at a guitar you bought him the week he showed up. "still here, huh?" you joked.
elvis scoffed and stood up, carefully setting the guitar against the coffee table. "hey, at least i didn't burn anything down today."
you raised an eyebrow at him. "today? you mean you've burned things prior to today?"
"it's that damn microwave! they're nothin' like what 'm used to! why do they heat up so fast?"
"what were you trying to cook?"
he walked to the kitchen, opening the fridge and taking out a container filled with leftover pasta. "i put this on a plate, i even covered it like you said!" he reached in the cabinet to pull out a plate similar to the one he used a few days ago. "i used this and the whole thing just broke apart, made a mess of the damn microwave."
you took the plate from him, turning it over and reading the bold print saying do not microwave. "you don't use these in the microwave." you said, pointing at the words.
elvis looked at the plate then back at you, very obviously mad at himself. he ran a hand down his face and smacked his fist against the counter. "i really have no words. i got nothin' to say to that."
you let out a laugh, patting him on the shoulder reassuringly. "i guess i should also mention, don't put plastic in the microwave either. metal too."
"naw, i ain't that stupid. who d'ya think i am?" elvis snagged the plate back from you and placed it back in the cabinet. he proceeded to pick at the pasta in the container, sparking up conversation about your day. it was always the same answer. lousy, boring day and all you wanted to do was come home and hang out with elvis.
"i got you something." you picked up the small bag, handing it to him.
his eyes lit up as he took the bag from you. he pulled out the rectangular box, inspecting it. "what is this? a big phone?"
you taught him all the joys of an ipad, you even got him introduced him to all sorts of ipad games to keep him entertained while you were at work. eventually you found yourself searching up old performances, sitting close to elvis at the table. you pointed at the video on the screen, talking about god knows what as he just enjoyed your company. he gazed his eyes towards you, smiling and not really listening to a word you were saying. you paused mid sentence to look over at him, your eyes meeting with his. elvis leaned forward towards you, going straight for your lips. you gulped and cleared your throat, standing up as you walked towards the fridge for a water.
that was the first time he tried to kiss you.
at this point, you knew elvis had feelings for you. you had feelings for him as well, you just didn't want to act on those feelings.
the second time he tried to kiss you was about a month later. you were both down to a second bottle of wine, talking about life and what elvis was supposed to be getting up to around this time in his life. "y'know we can pull up that comeback special, like right now." you said, reaching for the remote. "or wait-would that be spoiling it? are we breaking the timeline?"
he looked at you confused. "what timeline? honey, i was there in person filming it, i don't think there's nothin' for you to spoil."
"i mean like, will the earth explode if i make you watch something that you haven't seen in your time?"
"what in the hell are you talkin' about? that wine's got you all confused." he laughed. "just play the damn thing."
you sighed, pulling it up on the tv. "alright but if the world explodes the moment i hit play, it was nice knowing you." elvis rolled his eyes and placed his glass on the table, watching himself on the screen.
by the time it finished, the tears were flowing. something about watching elvis perform if i can dream always had you crying, but you were also drunk so that probably had something to do with it as well. "was i that good?"
you nodded, wiping your tears. "you are just so amazing and like-you're right next to me and i don't know why you were brought to me of all people but god elvis, i just adore you so much and i-"
"okay, slow down." he placed a hand on your shoulder, squeezing it tightly.
"sorry, sorry." you said softly, staring at him in awe.
elvis sat up and stared back at you, nervousness in his eyes. "can i....kiss you?"
you almost said yes, you wanted to say yes. although you had a lot to drink, you still couldn't bring yourself to admit you were in love with him. "it's the wine, elvis. ask me again later. 'm going to bed." you pat his knee and left to your room, leaving him with his feelings once again.
eventually, elvis gave up. you got back into the routine of coming home, elvis telling you his new discovery on his phone and what level he hit on a game he was playing on his ipad, you rambling about your boring job and then taking him out somewhere.
however, today was different. elvis wasn't responding to your texts which made you worry the whole day. you saw him this morning so there was no way he just...went back. on the way home you distracted yourself with thoughts of what you'd do when you got home, maybe you'll order food and watch a movie with elvis. or maybe it's time to finally start a new show with him. either way, you just wanted to get home and eat. what you didn't expect was opening the door to your apartment and seeing a home cooked meal on the dining table. you shut the door behind you and tossed your keys. "elvis?" you yelled. "you haven't replied to my texts, are you here?"
elvis peeked out from the corner, relief washing over you. you didn't know what you would do if elvis just left. "hey, you. i made dinner and didn' even burn any dishes this time!"
you looked around at the table, speechless. "wow, you did this? you didn't just order it?"
elvis crossed his arms. "you don't think i can cook?" truth is, he just followed a random recipe he read online.
"but why?" you waved hand in the air, taking back your question. "i mean, what's the occasion?"
he rubbed the back of his head, letting out a nervous laugh. "um-you, actually."
"me?"
"i uh-" he sighed. "i have to tell you somethin' and i-i think you know but i-um still want to just tell you this...straight up."
you observed the way he was trembling a little, stuttering at his words and fidgeting with the rings on his fingers. he was nervous about something which obviously made you nervous as well. "okay."
elvis sat down at the small dining table, mentally preparing himself and trying to process the words that were about to leave his mouth. you then sat across from him and reached over to squeeze his hand reassuringly. "i like you-i like you a lot actually. i thought maybe it was cos' 'm kinda just...always here with you but all this time i've spent alone i really did some thinkin' and....oh geez." he let out a nervous laugh. "christ, i think i'm in love with ya and i gotta say, that scares me a little."
you didn't know what to say. sitting there in shock, this wasn't news to you. however, hearing it come from elvis directly did freak you out a little. all those times he tried to kiss you, it was obvious. part of you wanted to jump on that table and just kiss all over him but another part of you just wanted to pretend you didn't feel the same way. you didn't want to get attached then wake up to him gone tomorrow. "elvis....i really don't know what to say."
"just know i really appreciate everythin' you've been doin' for me. i know it's been weird-this whole situation is weird. you don't gotta say nothin', i just needed you to know how i felt." elvis got up from the table and scuffled towards you, squatting down to your eye level. it was as if he could read your mind, like he knew you felt the same way. "are you scared too?" he asked.
"i'm terrified." you admitted.
"let's figure this out together then, can i kiss you?"
you looked into his eyes, giving it a final thought before finally deciding. "yes, please."
