Tl;dr Leon is finally here and I'm happy. He's now EX too for the banger song. Long story under the cut.

So, I've been kinda burned out from this game for a while, mostly because of the bad luck streak happening in several recent banners (Champion Hop, not having enough gems for SC Steven, Adaman & Irida, having to skip Eusine, and Battle Tower Leon too as you can see from the scout points). Banners released every month have been overwhelming, the amount of free gems received per month does not even compare with the number of banners, and coupled with bad luck, it's just an awful time all around. I've stopped spending in this game right when DeNA starts being a little too greedy, what with the 5/5 grid, a lot of banners at once, the lack of gems in the rally (even a complete absence of gems in two Galar VA rallies), and all that. Even doing dailies has become a chore, and I can't be as excited as usual when the datamine drops.

There were times when I got lucky, like when I got SC Zinnia, SS Hau, and SS Acerola, but the terrible luck I got have been affecting my enjoyment a lot more than the fun time, so I recognize this as a sign of burnout.

So, today I decided that if I didn't get Leon in the next multi, I would take a total break. And wouldn't you know it, Leon arrived, two times...but with 231 scout points. It's as if the game knows.

Now I don't feel as bitter as I was before thanks to Leon finally arriving, but that still doesn't completely get rid of my burnout. It's still there, and the temptation to take a break is also still there. Thankfully, he's the only unit I want in this month, so I can save up for anniversary. I dunno if I will still play this game when that happens, but we'll see. This is not the end of my Masters, or even Pokemon brainrot though. I still love Pokemon so much, I still love Masters too, just don't wanna deal with the grind and the gacha for a bit. This kind of time always happens when I play a gacha-based game for a certain amount of time, it happened a lot too in the past with the previous gacha games I used to play, so it's not the first time.

Anyway, of course, I EX-ed Battle Tower Leon for the song, but I prefer the OG color of his suit.

#kingdom hearts dream drop distance #khddd #sora #riku #nightmare's end #mirage split #my gif #i was going to write up a whole thing in the tags about my thoughts on this keyblade #but i just know it'll be an incoherent essay because i can't properly articulate my thoughts #the x-blade must be forged through a clash of light and darkness #but i find it so highly significant that sora and riku can create their own keyblade which is so unheard of #this keyblade isn't created with a clash but rather through harmony and balance #not with conflict but with understanding and connection and love #and i always felt as though that's how the x-blade SHOULD be forged. that master xehanort went about it all wrong #because balance and connections are such important themes in these games #it has two handles and looks so regal when combined. all of the shapes feel reminiscent of the x-blade too #it shines so brilliantly with both sora and riku's symbols. the heart and crown which is the iconic logo for the entire series #also the way stained glass is always used to represent hearts. it's so significant! #and yeah the paupu fruit keychain is its own thing to unpack #okay so i ended up writing something anyway but there's still so much more #i just really hope we get to see more of this in future games because it would be shocking if it was nothing more than a cool combo attack

when baghera was sus of jaiden because of the thing when pomme died and jaiden had been the reason baghera left her side for the only time that day, i wasn't even worried. i wasn't worried bc i was like "we just wait. because i know they will TALK TO EACH OTHER." and I WAS RIGHT. TWO DAYS LATER IT WAS ALL CLEARED UP AND BAGHERA WAS HELPING HER OUT WITH CUCURUCHO

and the ordo theoritas is functionally a secret organization. it would be SO EASY to gatekeep the lore, on grounds of "the federation is always watching and anyone could be a spy" and yet the ordo theoritas says that, like bad SAYS THAT, says OUT LOUD, "anyone could be a traitor" and then turns around and goes "hey person i've had a few days' worth of conversations with, here's a detailed rundown of everything we've learned about the island's mysteries, and the secret location of the ordo base". SOFIA was supposed to be secret from everyone, and for a little bit she was. but now like, the ordo theoritas is showing her to everyone. it would be SO EASY to hide things and to gatekeep things but they just. don't do it. here's the supercomputer!!!! don't forget to grab her waystone so you can come back anytime!!!

"i need to tell forever/cellbit/baghera". forever figures out a new way to protect the eggs, and he gets it to everyone within days. cucurucho tries to have a secret conversation and the entire server knows about it almost instantly and there are three people buried in the walls reading the subtitles and giving each other meaningful glances

i love it. i love it. miscommunication plotlines drive me up the fucking wall and the fact that i wasn't even SCARED when jaiden and baghera could easily have angled into an angsty tangled web of that and instead just MET WITH EACH OTHER AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING AND CLEARED THE AIR ALMOST IMMEDIATELY was so fucking breathtaking. and this is a multilingual server. this is a MULTILINGUAL SERVER. i love it. i love it so much i want to cry. it's a server for communication and people Communicate, it would have been SO EASY to slip into monolingual factions and stick to the familiar but they DIDN'T. they DIDN'T. WE GET TO HAVE A THEORY TABLE WITH SO MANY LANGUAGES SITTING AROUND IT. we get to have conspiracy walls in every language!!!! idk sometimes i forget how fucking CRAZY all this is, like the scale of what they've accomplished
