Hiiii while I'm on here for five seconds know that I miss folks and I hope to be more active again soon now that one of the busiest parts of the work year is doooone

#the only other barrier is that as always I am working to overcome my horrid mental illness #wherein I feel like if I haven't written a novel or something while away for more than a week I cannot dare to show my face in public #if we haven't spoken in a while I am so sorry it's not you it's just that anxiety does run my life sometimes. this is one of those times.#only exposure can make it better etc. but I also genuinely just have not had consistent capacity due to everything else in my life #rambling #I wanna draw some art for a little something I was tagged on when things lighten up later this week though <3 #I am going to learn to draw. a musical instrument. everyone wish me luck.

Have you ever looked at tide pods, erasers, basically anything with a big DO NOT EAT CONTACT POISON CONTROL IF INGESTED sticker on them? Me too! So here’s a funny little thing for that!

Ps: please don’t actually eat any of the things in this- there are alternative things that you can actually eat that are similar to these things!

Vincent Sinclair:

“???”

“Can I eat some of that wax?” You pointed off to the scraps on the table by the art piece he was currently working on.

“?!?!?!” Cue frantic signing - ‘Y/n no- you can’t eat that, it will make you sick! Why would you even want to in the first place?’

You shrugged. “I dunno. It just looks warm and tasty!”

Vincent will now make sure to keep an eye on you anytime you are around wax.

But one day your curiosity won, and he caught you mid lick on one of his sculptures.

Yeah he was all mother hen on you for a while.

Bo Sinclair:

Bo was in his garage (surprise surprise) working on a car. You decided to tag along.

“Hey Bo, can I drink some of that?”

“Sure darlin.” Bo had said without looking up. He has just assumed you were talking about the glass of ice tea he has sitting next to him.

It wasn’t until her heard you spitting up something into the dirt that he actually looked up and saw the bottle of oil in your hand…

“Y/n what the fuck?!” He shouted at you. He was angry sure but he was mostly concerned and didn’t want you to fucking poison yourself, so he stuck two fingers down your throat and forced you to puke.

“Why would you do that?!”

“It looked like root beer!” You shouted between coughs.

“God you’re almost as bad as Lester…”

Jason Vorhees:

Oh if you think this man will even let you get anything inedible anywhere near your mouth you are wrong.

Jason has had to swat out jelly erasers out of your hand while you were working on a drawing because the fake pink strawberry inside it was just too tempting for you. You now only get to use boring white erasers… which you were banned from for a while when you thought they looked like marshmallows.

“Hey Jason, what do you think tidepods taste like?” You are no longer aloud to do laundry by yourself.

But he would help make snacks for you that have said texture of whatever thing you want. Wanna eat sand? Here’s some granola he’s made and crushed up to look and feel like it!

Michael Myers:

You’ve probably eaten a lot of stuff you shouldn’t have- dude isn’t the most observant at first.

But the second he does catch you, he’s watching you like a hawk.

He about yelled at you when he saw you munching on one of his (thankfully clean) jump suits. But he didn’t and instead took it away from you, lightly tapping you on your nose, scolding you like you were a teething puppy.

Actually that is what he saw you as when you’d do this-

He isn’t a cooker or a baker but if he finds anything edible that he thinks would satisfy your cravings then he will take it.

Brahms Heelshire

“New rule! Y/n is not aloud to eat anything without Brahms’ permission!”

“Brahms I don’t think that’s gonna work-“

“THEN STOP TRYING TO EAT THE PIANO KEYS!”

What? The Heelshire’s have a lot of old stuff! A lot of old tasty looking stuff… like the piano and Brahms’ records.

Brahms sometimes feels like a nanny for you when it comes to food. He now sits on the counter and watches you like a bird hunting it’s prey to make sure you aren’t sneaking anything in your mouth you shouldn’t. Don’t worry Brahms! They’d never do that!… would you..?

Billy and Stu:

Stu does the same thing as you.

Billy feels like he needs to keep you both on those little backpacks with those leashes that keep kids from running into traffic.

He has put you two in them before… he calls it ‘dumb snacking jail’

You make a comment about how Billy would know all about being in a jail.

That earned you more time in dumb snacking jail-

“They aren’t hurting anyone!” Stu shouted

“Stu they are trying to eat rocks…”

“It’s not hurting anyone!”

“ITS HURTING THEM-?!”

1) Can lacrimas carry out multiple purposes at once? Or will they blend them? I'm assuming that this is possible, considering that the automaton in the ruins was using a lacrima as a brain

2) Has anyone tried to make tools or weapons out of lacrimas? I'm talking like chisel that needs no hammer. Or maybe a Fire lacrima on a bow that sets your arrows on fire

3) Can you engrave runes on lacrimas to make them affect themselves?

4) Where can I read more about the Twins? If I'm not wrong they're the creator gods, aided by the Light dragon and the Void dragon to create life, but I might be getting a wrong read on that

5) Since we see Erin successfully become the first Void mage, does that now mean there's potential for him to make a Void lacrima? The dragon probably won't allow it, but still

6) What exactly does elemental corruption of each element do? Fire literally burns you up, as we saw in Arc 1. I can infer that Life likely makes you a chimera. Void corruption makes you a cave crawler. But what do the other one do? Does Earth make you a statue? Does Wind disintegrate you, Thanos style?

7) Now onto the non-Aurora questions, is your art vector or raster? I believe it's vector, but it's always better to confirm

8) What are your opinions on reading into the environment and the character design to infer things about the character themselves? In any type of media

9) Have you played Baldur's Gate 3?

10) Do you have any music that you'd recommend? I've listened to every song I liked so many times that I hate them now.

You might be able to tell that I like the idea of the lacrimas a little bit. Just a teensy bit. The artificer in me definitely isn't obsessed. I appreciate any answers you can give :3

Ooh, lots of stuff!

Yes, it's possible. A lacrima can be engraved with multiple spells, set in a casing engraved with commands, or some combination of the two. Typically, all spells engraved directly on a lacrima will activate at once when the lacrima is "switched on", but a spell can be quite complex, and conditional activations are possible - "if-then-else" statements, basically.

Yes, magic items exist.

Generally no. If the lacrima is disrupted or broken, the spell generally stops functioning, so a self-affecting lacrima will run only as long as it takes for the lacrima to distort or break.

He probably could if he wanted to (and the Dragon allowed it) but Void energy is very dangerous, so he likely doesn't want to.

Each form of elemental corruption agitates the presence of the element in the mage's body. Earth corruption can damage or alter bones, encourage unhealthy petrification of soft tissues, etc. Wind corruption can have physical effects but it often most obviously produces breakdowns in the person's ability to speak or understand language. Lightning damages, numbs or intensifies a person's physical senses.

Raster, I draw with CSP's digital pens. I've only very briefly experimented with vector art - I don't like how it simplifies the lines.

I think it's a fun school of analysis but, like all literary analysis, it runs into trouble if it tries to lock down exactly what the writer was thinking or intending (which is an objective fact that one can be incorrect about) rather than trying to analyze the story on its own and what meaning might, intentionally or unintentionally, be factoring into it.

Synopsis: Y/N is surprised when her classmate Eddie takes interest in her nail art stall. Did he really want his nails done or did he want something more?

The school really didn’t do fundraisers enough. Especially considering the amount of shit that goes down in Hawkins. So when they finally announced that they were going to be raising money for the families that lost someone in the Starcourt Mall fire, Y/N was ready.

Students started getting in small groups to plan what activity they would do. Selling cookies and cupcakes, raffle tickets, face painting. Y/N decided on something a little different. She had always gotten compliments on her nails. She liked making simple patterns, adding gemstones or nail stickers. The girls in her classes were very excited when Y/N told them she was doing a nail art stall.

The day had been going well. Y/N had a constant line at her stall as the girls, and some guys lined up. It was getting near the end of the day when Eddie Munson sat down opposite her. The last in the line.

“Eddie?” Y/N said confused.

“Yeah.”

“You want me to do your nails?” Eddie smirked.

“Yeah.” He dropped his change into the charity bucket on the side of the table. Y/N was pleasantly surprised. Most students had a strong dislike of Eddie. He was weird and loud. But there was something about the guy’s energy that kept drawing Y/N in.

They had a couple classes together. In fact they sat next to each other in one of them which meant they had small conversations a couple times a week.

Over the year, Y/N had found that Eddie was quite different to the perception people had of him. For one, he was not scary at all. In fact he was quite jumpy. Y/N had lost count of the amount of times she had lightly tapped him on the shoulder and he had jumped out of his skin. It made her giggle every time.

“Jeez L/N you tryna kill me?”

“I just wanted to borrow your eraser.”

He was full of positive energy. It radiated off him in waves and infected the people around him. Yeah sometimes he took it a step too far but that was never his intention.

In reality, he was just a happy go lucky dork.

“You got a color in mind?” Y/N asked, organising the bottles. Eddie shrugged.

“I’ll let you chose. Go crazy, the fate of my nails are in your hands!” He said dramatically. Y/N chuckled.

“Okay then.” She picked up a pink bottle and began looking through her flowery stickers. The guys who had got their nails done as a joke all picked this stuff. Y/N looked back at Eddie’s hands. She noted the rings he wore. She then noticed he was wearing his club shirt. The logo contained a flaming sword and a flail.

Then Y/N got an idea. Her eyes widened in excitement and she put down the pink bottle and began sifting through the stuff she kept under the table.

“What’s with the sparkle in your eyes L/N? Should I be worried?” Eddie asked with a smile. Y/N pulled out a new pack of nail stickers and smiled back at him.

“Oh you’re gonna love it.” Eddie smiled wider. He loved her passion. He had noticed that Y/N loved organising little things. Her class notes were always neat and color coded. Her make up was simple but always looked good. Her locker had pictures of her friends and doodles arranged in the inside of the door. Whatever she had planned, he knew it was gonna be good.

After cleaning up his cuticles and adding a base, Y/N took a black nail polish and began painting over each nail. She placed her other hand underneath Eddie’s to steady him. Her hand moved more and more under his as she continued.

“You sure you’re not just doing this so you get to hold guys’ hands?” Eddie joked.

“How dare you think I have an ulterior motive Edward.” Y/N joked back. “How do I know you didn’t come here just so I would hold your hand?” Eddie didn’t reply, because she was completely correct. Well that and he just wanted an excuse to talk to her more. You can only say so much during a class where you’re supposed to be quiet. “Besides, I don’t need to trick a guy into holding my hand.”

“True. Very true.” Eddie agreed. He knew Y/N was quite popular. He often saw her hanging out with the athletes and the cheerleaders, many of which seemed interested in her. Yet she remained single, which kept Eddie hopeful.

Y/N finished with the black and began to open the new pack of nail stickers. Eddie watched as she looked through them all and picked out two. She smiled and showed them. A sword and a flail.

“How’d you feel about a Hellfire theme?”

“That is awesome.” Y/N beamed and began peeling the sword. She went to put it on his ring finger but at the last second changed to his middle finger. Eddie quirked an eyebrow.

“I remember how much you like flipping people off. It’ll be more impactful this way. Don’tcha think?” Eddie chuckled.

“You think of everything don’t you L/N?” Y/N shrugged.

“I try.” Y/N finished it off with some flames on the sword and a tiny red gemstone on each pinky finger. “Okay I think you’re done!”

Eddie lifted up his hands and admired the artwork.

“Y/N L/N you are a genius.” Y/N giggled.

“Y/N!” Jason had jogged over to her table. He glared at Eddie. “You okay?”

“Yeah Jason I’m fine thanks.”

“This punk giving you any trouble?”

“No Jason. I’m fine.” Y/N repeated, slightly annoyed.

“I’m on my best behaviour.” Eddie put his hands up innocently. “Y/N was just doing my nails. I think these ones are my favourite, don’t you agree?” He put his middle fingers in Jason’s face. Y/N tried to hide her laughter but to no avail. Jason looked at her shocked.

“Y/N!”

“Oh come on that was funny.” Y/N admitted. Eddie beamed. He loved when he could make her laugh. Jason huffed and walked away. “You gotta stop provoking him though.”

“I’ll stop when he stops.” Eddie stated. Y/N nodded.

“Fair enough.” She stood up. “Well looks like you’re my last customer.” Eddie stood up too.

“Need a hand packing?”

“Uh yeah actually- oh wait isn’t your club starting soon?” Eddie shrugged.

“I can be late. You’re more important.” The two began putting away all of the nail stuff in a box.

“Wow I must be pretty damn important then cause I know how much you love your club.” Y/N chuckled.

“Yeah well you’re one of the only people outside of Hellfire that’ll give me the time of day so…” Y/N stopped.

“I’m sorry. That must suck.” Eddie shrugged.

“You get used to it.”

“Yeah well I wish you didn’t have to get used to it.”

“…thanks.” Y/N picked up the box.

“Do you think you could take the bucket? I gotta drop it off in our math classroom.”

“Yeah sure.”

The pair walked down the hallway to the classroom. Y/N noted the other students giving her weird looks. “Like I said, you get used to it.” Eddie said. “But don’t commit social suicide just for me. It’s not worth it.” He brushed off, putting the bucket down next to the others in the room.

“Social suicide?” Y/N repeated as they head to the exit and out into the parking lot.

“Yeah it’s not worth it.”

“You mean… you’re not worth it?” Eddie paused before answering.

“Yeah.”

“Well I think that decision’s up to me.” Y/N stated. Eddie stopped in the middle of the parking lot. Y/N turned back around. She could see the surprise on his face. “What? You not gonna walk me to my car?” Eddie smiled and jogged to catch up.

He watched as she put her box of nail stuff in her back seat and closed the door. “Thanks for helping me.” She said as she walked to stand in front of him.

“No problem. Anytime.” Y/N looked up and smiled. He smiled back but narrowed his eyes. “What idea is your brain cooking up now L/N?”

“You ever tried eyeliner?”

“What?”

“Eyeliner. On your waterline.” Y/N pointed to her own on her face. “I think it’ll match your whole look.” Eddie smiled.

“You think?” Y/N reached up and pushed Eddie’s hair out his face.

“Yeah.” The pair heard a noise and turned to see some people coming out of the school. They were whispering and giving them dirty looks.

“See?” Eddie sighed. “You don’t wanna be seen with me. Not outside classes.” He took Y/N’s hands and lowered them down from his face.

“Again, Eddie. That’s up to me.” She leaned up and pecked him on the cheek. “I’ll see ya tomorrow yeah? I’ll bring my eyeliner.” She gave him a wink and got in her car.

Eddie watched as she drove away, frozen in place until she was out of site. He placed a hand on his chest and an arm stretched out to where Y/N has gone.

“Oh L/N you are full of surprises.” He walked back into school with a skip in his step.

He couldn’t wait to see her tomorrow.

I have some more !!!

I like the idea of irken blood being a pink/orange color and also bioluminescent, no reason other than its funky to draw I like it

I'll add some headcanons or something under the cut so !! Yay i guess !!

Headcanon time!! These have little to no reason to exist other than "its fun why not" and "I said so"

- I already mentioned the irken blood thing but it's one of my favorite little things

- irkens have tapetum lucidum and it can show thru in their disguises (mostly zims) so it can be a good way to clock them if needed

- irken antenna function a lot like dog ears, which is more so Canon than a headcanon, but still. Like, example, they're pinned back when angry, down when sad, up when curious etc etc. It's a fun little idea

I'd like to delve into some more stuff but a lot of it is au stuff and I don't wanna blabber about that yet !! But I will add tiny little ones maybe

- irken paks, as well as keeping them alive, also "programs" each irken to be the best invader they can be. It all depends on what they'd NEED to be successful. For some, it's power and strength, and for others it's wit and smarts. So the pak, basically shifts their identity to fit the task they need to accomplish.

- paks also prevent irkens from being themselves, their personality is locked behind a barrier basically. They ARE their own people deep down, they are just physically unable to show it due to the pak preventing it

- however an irken CAN be themselves, but only for a while. They'd need to take the pak off and permanently make sure it cannot go back on, which would free them. It would also kill them!! So they can live a long life being nothing but a slave, or live as themselves for mere minutes.

That's all I'll get into for now but if u want more lmk ✨️ I like blabbering about random stuffs

Hello everyone!! Today I grow a year older :3 (and I hate it lmao) FEEL FREE TO REPLY BIRTHDAY WISHES IF YOU WANT :3

So, over the time I've come back here, I've become pretty confident and proud of my once hidden passion about sick characters, sickfics and sick comfort/whump... 🌡️

And you all have been so supportive and sweet despite my weirdness so I thank you for that. You helped me feel more confident in my otherwise weird fixation <3 So, for my birthday I thought I'd try and make up a little drawing challenge for anyone who wants to give it a try... There are soo many talented artists on this site (and in this fandom)

So... It's your turn to target your faves now. You will see how fun it is and hopefully understand why I love doing it so much. 😈🌡️

So here's the challenge and the rules!! (featuring my two main lil targets ofc :3)

Regardless of who it is, put your fave through some sickness hell >:3c I'd love to see it! Make em' as miserable as you want!

If you're in the RainCode community you can target anyone, but as you know, my main targets are Yuma and Makoto. If they're also your faves and who you decide to use, that will make me extra happy!

Some tips for anyone new to drawing a sick day scenario art. A few things that make it look convincing are the following:

Pajamas or Loungewear

Messy Bed Hair

Fever flushed face w sweat or at least a red nose

Tired Eye bags

Shivery body

Ice Pack or a Compress on the head

Thermometer sticking from their mouth

LOTS OF BLANKETS

Tissues or medicine surrounding them

Tea or Soup (or both)

Those are just to name some from the top of my head. If you'd like some pointers on how to make a character look ill, check out my Fever Coloring Guide. This is for digital artists but traditional artists can try it too!

You can add injury or angst to the scene but I'd like illness to be the main focus of it.

The scene can be anything you want to, it can be fluffy and wholesome (with a caretaker) it can be angsty, or it can be silly. Its all up to you! Do it for the sake of fluff! Caretaking scenes are the best for any kind of relationship >w<

Either way, have fun with it!! I look forward to see what people make if they decide to give it a try! It doesn't even have to be a full on picture! Doodles and sketches are fine too! Just show me something >w<

A LONG while ago I had made a post considering making a Patreon or something of that sort for my stuff and how I was pondering things about it.

And I had gotten an inbox response (that I didn't post for very obvious reasons y'all will read later on under the cut) requesting I only post NSFW artwork on it as said person said they didn't care about 18+ artwork and went on to explain how everyone's money is tight right now and that they really didn't want to miss out on story and OC stuff.

And I feel like enough time has passed that I can form a proper response. Because I do understand money being tight but...there's just levels to this that made me feel some very offput by this response to me simply thinking about making a Patreon.

The first thing I want to state is that, if I did make some subscriber content, I definitely wouldn't hide lore heavy stuff behing paywalls. It would have been bonus extra content people could def live without or at the very least something they could see weeks or months earlier than people not subscribed to it (which is something many artists I follow do).

The second thing, is that I understand many do not like NSFW work. I totally get it. HOWEVER, I love drawing intimate things, so much so that I already have alt accounts where I post my more adult content for other adults to see for free because I treat it the same as my sfw art. It's just stuff I wanna draw for fun. And it wouldn't be fair suddenly cutting off those people over on my alt and telling them to pay to see my OC's tiddies from now on.

I also very much am not a fan of having people tell me to my face that they don't care about NSFW content in relation to my OCs and stories. Please keep that to yourself or at least in your friend group Discord servers. Telling me to my face is just a major vibe killer.👎🏾

Third, and by far the most important thing I want to say, is that "YES" money is very tight for everyone right now. Believe me, I know.

However, it's super important that people understand creators are also part of the group when y'all say "money is tight". Like I said, society is hella unstable and everyone is struggling. Artists, especially the ones brave enough to be doing freelancing for a living, are also tight on money.

It's why so many have subscription services for their work. Nearly every creator with a story or characters I follow have a subscription of some sort that people can pick as an option to support them.

When I was considering making a Patreon, I definitely was not expecting everyone following me to hop on board. In the past, I have had people ask if I had one. So me potentially making one would have been meant for those people who were interested in it. It would have been a more "out of the way" option of showing support.

That being said, many artists are share their work for free. Many do so because they love sharing their creations with others. While I don't believe the person who sent in the inbox ask had meant to come off as entitled, I do think people have to check themselves when it comes to their responses to artists in general wanting to make a little money off their own creations.

I have seen so many times where an artist starts to do something to earn money, whether it be merch, adopts, or commissions, and people will complain because there's a price tag for something they got used to getting for free.

Just like someone who enjoys looking at art has the freedom to decide if they want to give said artist money or not, an artist definitely has the right to decide "I want to make some money from my art".

"Art is a luxury" is very much a two way street. You don't have to pay, but an artist doesn't have to make all their work free.

you know it truly amazes me how you can't do practicly anything on tiktok or search the thing you like without getting absolutley shat on

Like I'm feeling a little in the mood for rottmnt angst A lil bit of that kick in the gut, and I can't go 3 minutes without one of those made in 5 minutes max videos that's just background video and text over it Saying shit like "Yall need to stop with the rottmnt angst it's getting annoying" or "the rottmnt angst artist need to chill out" or even better "The rottmnt fandom needs to stop the angst it's just a show for kids"

First off, if angst isn't your thing, you can block it or just scroll pass it OR you know what if youre feeling like a little shit you can hate read it or whatever but keep the comments TO YOURSELF

Second off I checked what the content of most of these people is And it's always goddamn always those 10 second background videos with text over it

I dare these people to even try to draw the shape of leo's head, or write out something more than 40 words I accualy dare them. do it.

NOT make up info to make others stop shipping it, I'm sick and tired of people non stop saying that usagi or mona are adults or that their entire characters are being love intrest in the fandom's eyes Because if you look at any of the fanfic's or fan content of those Yeah it's easy to find content where there love intrest's but it is hard to find content where there ONLY love intrest

People love mona so much for the fact that she's a badass warrior who loves her planet and people they often give her more backstory focused stories that explore how she would feel depending on where the writers story will go or already went, I have never seen anyone maker her just a typical love intrest (witch honestly suprised me)

Usagi? People have more free will with his interpretation's so he has many many diffrent faces backstories, personalities but often people make him focused on something in their stories, examples being, getting back home, protecting others, getting over something, fighting in battle nexus and exploring how it would be Etc. Etc. That mixed with being a love intrest

The only times when these two can be seen as just love intrest and nothing more is in

Edit's/tiktok content where everything is short af (and even then sometimes people give em backstories and their own lore it really amazes me sometimes lmao)

short (usualy) tagged as fluff without plot fics on ao3 (witch you can litellary tag out SO easily)

Little comics/some art pices That HAVE VERY STORT LIMITS

also this might suprise you it really might but DRAWING IS HARD AND TAKES ALOT OF TIME SAME GOES FOR MAKING THE IDEA UP

And when it comes to their ages we all know there not adults, littelary where did anyone mention mona being an aduly ever, and the only times when usagi and leo accualy interact is when there in similiar if not the same ages

(in 2003 usagi and leo are close friends and Both teens, in the early comics there both adults when they first meet, even in 1987 version there both shown to be close if not the same age, the ONLY TIME where leo and usagi have very diffrent ages is in 2012 and honestly i have a little theory on why specificly that version had them be you know that but that's for another post)

Seriously what the fuck is tiktok's problem with any form of fanon content? You want the fandom to die? It aint gonna happen, you either get used to some bad stuff existing there and there and ignoring it (reporting then ignoring it if it's really bad) OR you keep quiet OR you will get banned by alot of creators after crying in their comments, then cry when you can't find something they made anymore

Tiktok man, good for daydreaming to the sounds, looking at edits and for some art trends but litellary can't let anything else exist on there or else you'll explode

I said that I'd have an announcement in May regarding a Big Event for June and July, and here we are! (I know it's not May yet, but I'm excited)

Firstly: Nothing is really going to happen in June except that more details will be provided, and you'll have the chance to make requests of me.

July is when things will really get busy.

But the event is a little bit different than anything I've done before, in that you're going to have the chance to Gift me stuff! But only if you can, and only if you want to - there's ZERO obligation to give me anything, you're 100% welcome to just put in a request. ^_^

Is there a way to read all the comics in order? I have read a few out of order and love the characters but feel like I’m missing out

hellooo!! thank you so much for liking the characters and my stories!!! at the moment there's no set 'order' for any of my comics, whether they are for my various AUs or for starstruck's story

i've been meaning for months now to make a master post for my AUs, and as i've been working so much on starstruck's story lately (sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyy) i should probably also make one for her too. but as of right now, it's all just loose bits floating about my blog

that said, i think that the best "order" of the comics would likely always be in the order i released them. there is a clear chronological series of events in all my stories, but i definitely tend to release comics outside of that order

however, when i release a new piece- whether it's a comic, art piece, or even just text answer- i am keenly aware of exactly what i have revealed before, and what i'm revealing in each update. so while updates may not be in 'chronological order' of the story, they are in the order i hope will be satisfying for you as the reader, and an order that is satisfying for me to draw 😂

someone once pointed out that they felt most everything in my work (art, captions, tags) is incredibly intentional, and i was chuffed to see that, because i actually work quite hard to make sure it is 😂 i feel like this is a community that appreciates that sort of thing, so i've been endeavouring to make it an immersive experience for the folks who really wanna Go In on it? but if it ever gets pretentious or people genuinely hate it i'll obviously quit it omg;;

if you feel like something is not yet obvious or clear, there is quite a good chance it's not you missing out on something, but that it's intentionally being left vague to preserve some suspense! however if you ever want to check something like this and make sure i haven't revealed/answered something clearly somewhere, feel free to shoot me an ask and i can link you to any answers (if they exist)

until then, the current best way to find stuff 'in order' on my blog is by going through tags in chronological order. for starstruck in particular this is a little bit messy as there's also a lot of fanart or silly doodles that aren't Lore Related in her tag... maybe i should address that. it was all a bit sudden 😂

for now, the best i can really offer is a few of my tags with the chronological sorting feature added. let me know if this helps you find what you're looking for. otherwise like i said, always feel free to ask!

How do you make so many AUs and stories?

(even if something is my hyperfixation and I love doing it, I still go at a snails pace, and I was wondering if you have any "weird tricks" or things that help you finish faster?)

Also also, your AUs are some of my favorites, the angst, the comfort, and the art is just *chef's kiss*

Oh gosh, I mean, part of the answer is procrastination? I'm very lucky that both the job I'm currently at (so far, at least, fingers crossed) and the job I had previously allows me to kind of do my own thing during downtime, so long as I stay on top of all my work responsibilities. Getting to write/draw is like the little reward I get when my work is done u w u And so sometimes a part of my day also involves... avoiding doing work things for a little while by writing or drawing instead. Not Doing Boring Work Tasks is a great motivator for creative projects, lol.

I also just have tend to draw pretty fast, lmao, and I am also hugely motivated by attention u w u I am again very lucky in the sense that a lot of you lovely folks on tumblr decided you liked the stuff I made pretty early on in my TMNT stint, and I am blessed with tags and comments and replies engaging in my work, which is HUGELY motivating. I wanna work on my projects because I wanna get to post them and see what people think!!! I wanna hear what people have to say about the next step in the story!!!

I guess the best advice I have is to not be afraid of shortcuts, especially at the beginning. Let some stuff happen off-screen. Exposition dump every now and again. Copy and paste is your friend. Etc etc etc. Let go of the idea of 'this needs to be perfect' and embrace 'it just needs to be done.' Not every scene or paragraph or panel or even comic I make is going to be a showstopper. But phoning some stuff in makes it easier for me to REALLY lay into that one big dramatic part of the story where I really want it to count. And if I spend forever fussing over the set-up at the beginning, I'm never gonna get to the dramatic scene, anyway! So just do it. Worry about quality control later. Just make it first. Sometimes you don't feel like writing or drawing or doing whatever. Do it anyway.

(Having fandom friends who can hype you up and you can send things to as you're making it is very helpful, too!)

Ayyy how exciting, welcome to the ranks! I have some advice about various specific situations of being an art blogger sprinkled throughout my #art tips tag and I def rec to check them out, but here's a more general list

Make the blog feel like home. Pick an icon you identify with, add a nice header, match the colors, find a cool theme, add links to your sidebar. Customization is fun and makes your account feel more yours (hence why I never talk on twitter or insta but can't shut up here. This is my house and those are rentals)

Tag your work with a personal art tag. Something like #my art could be attractive, but if you need to check if your art has been blacklisted from dashboards or search engine, it's better to have one that features your name or some other specific other artists won't use

Don't be shy about collabs with other creative people. This could mean art exchanges, drawing together, illustrating fics, anything. I find that my favorite part of being an Internet artist is seeing other people add their own creative spins on my work, or their reactions when I add onto theirs.

Relax and just do things you wanna do. You're posting because you wanna share your work, and that should be your priority. Don't think about follower counts, notes, or whatever it is that you're currently missing. You'll find it eventually, and then you'll find your own little community, and it's gonna be great!

Uhm uhm first off, thank you so much I can't rlly put into words how sweet this is and I totally don't mind the rambles because me too. And also because its been YEARS since I last used Tumblr or did anything answering Ask is a bit tough for me.. MmMM

Although I don't have many HC at the moment.. I can however give you a little insight I have regarding my Human DCA :]

Moondrop (Moon) and Sundrop

- when I first designed Moon (after the game came out) he had a much wilder look to him, especially the face because I was really into the idea of him being simply insane hence the red.

- later when i got back to his design and adding colours I thought that it would be fun to make it Blue and white themed, which I actually didn't see a lot back then

- he wasn't supposed to look human even as a Humanoid, I liked to think that Sun & Moon simply had a renovated body. They are just as much Animatronics as they had always been, robotic parts and everything but with a bit of twist

- So then onto Sun.. the thing is its sad to say but I never explored much with Sun's design back then as much as I did with Moon, so I can't provide a good reference

- although I had a rough idea of how sun would look like I never quite liked the way I drew him, so he's always somewhat been stuck in this unfinished stage

- Then there was eclipse, who was my absolute FAVORITE at that time, I don't think I loved a character MORE THAN ECLIPSE EVER when I was drawing him out

- yes!! It was very much inspired by the 3D render shown here as the ref, though I did make some changes of my own to the design as well

- I had a lot in my head when I was drawing him, but the one thing that I loved most about this design still to thisq day is rhe face. The way I him to look back then was sort of a mix between my Sun and Moon designs, only leaning more towards Sun in colours and Moon in appearance with the crazed look in his eyes

The height was just a funny little thing I thought of, cuz imagine this giant fkn ahh robot just comes in here and picks you up 💀 god I would piss myself

Cough..

So in regards to the new design, I did kind of get rid of the animatronic feel to him that I had done with the DCA and his old design, all of them now look a whole lot more Human which is what I intended for

Eclipse has a few scars around his body; right forearm, left side of his torso that leads all the way up to his chest. Plus a bit of his face that is burnt which you can't exactly see because of the Black spots

Overall I like my newer designs quite a lot and has also changed a lot, this is probably the most insight you'll get out of me abt my art 😭😭 cuz I don't usually ramble this much otherwise

I might come up with some head canons at a later date, but they'll be fun thats for sure ;)

This little guy has gone through. Far. Far too much. But we'll see how things go for him from here

The Artificer, also called Beasty, Bomber, Heretic, or Booster

This not so little guy has also been through a lot, she's become something a bit more than a little violent rodent nowadays though...

almost Immediately when I shared the Saint's design with some friends, my friend @draagu (sorry if tagging's not alright let me know and I will nnot do it again) was like "I wanna hug him" (since then I've had at least 5 people say the same thing lasjdfl;akdfjs;aljsf [As they should this man needs many hugs])

so I doodled that

here's a goofier doodle of the two

also featuring a little cameo from some art by @pookapufferfishjsad;lfkjasdf because I did these twos' designs while me and pooka were doing some drawing together

it's not gonna be anything too massive, but I just hope all who choose to watch and view enjoy the show

this project is going to be very personal for me, I'm leaning on writing styles that comfort me, and choosing to share them because I think it'll be nice, and one thing that comforts me is big angst, and what follows, the big healing

As the name suggests, I invaded the Ramshackle dorm and now live rent-free in there. No one knows where I popped out from I just started existing one day in NRC

sash — Today at 7:55 PM okay. a little bit late but i've been giving it some thought.

i think the biggest Thing in orv in terms of philosophy is poststructuralism, and you're def going to find ideas by roland barthes in it (e.g. the classic "death of the author", or the idea of cultural phenomena as modern myths from "mythologies"). like, orv deals a lot with escaping clear categorizations and rejecting binaries + meaning of a text being generated from a network of related stories, rather than being intrinsic to one specific work. and those things are arguably the key characteristics of poststructuralism (though take this with a massive grain of salt bc it's notoriously difficult to define due to its very nature). i actually had an essay about this in the works but don't ask me when i'll finish it, it's currently languishing half-written in my google drive.

that aside sing shong namedrop quite a lot of literary works/philosophers. off the top of my head:

anna croft's zarathustra --> nietzsche's "thus spoke zarathustra" (i've seen a reddit essay that delves into this one in particular) theater dungeon endboss --> "simulacra and simulation" by jean baudrillard lsk's faction called "nouvelle vague" --> french art film movement from the 50s aileen makerfield's "etika clock store" --> POSSIBLY a reference to spinoza's "ethica" but do not take my word for this, it's just a wild guess fourth wall --> bertolt brecht's verfremdungseffekt hsy's --> "the neverending story" by michael ende outer gods/hounds of tindalos --> h.p. lovecraft (particularly sp --> nyarlathotep)

ofc there's also ysa's haruki murakami, han kang and raymond carver thing which. maybe that's a coincidence or just meant to highlight ysa's highbrow tastes but it's…. Something. in the epilogue, judith butler, roland barthes (or at least "mourning diary") and pierre bourdieu are mentioned by name as well. [8:00 PM] so like. there's A Lot. orv is juggling a million references at all times, some of which are super obvious (like journey to the west, wizard of oz or the book of revelations) and others are ??? who knows. they even like to draw connections to their other webnovels which is becoming even more relevant in the side stories.

sash — Today at 8:05 PM i have seen someone on postype talk about daniel dennett, walter benjamin and rené girard in relation to orv as well but i don't know much about them so i'm unsure if it's a case of sing shong planting explicit references that i have missed, or if op was simply doing "normal" analysis. point is that 1) sing shong love their french philosophers 2) if you want, you can find Anything in orv. there is a sheer endless amount of stuff to pick apart.
