back in 2011, I was 18, about to graduate high school and the money I had from being a camp counselor was running out. There was no such thing as ordering a costume from Amazon to have the next weekend. I was preregistered for Anime Boston and excited to go, but my equally cringe costume from last year was missing. I did what any other completely sane cosplayer with no online presence would do. I went to Party City. I bought a wig that was probably meant for Morticia Addams, Opera gloves that I cut the fingers off and glued the seams closed, and suspenders. I tucked a tanktop up into my bra because I didn't want to ruin a perfectly good tank to make a crop top. It was perfect. I was Tifa. I had no idea how to do my make up, my mom never wore it and my sisters never taught me, so I did what I considered a very good job. Why are we all giving the thumbs up? I could not tell you. we were cosplayers from 3 different franchises, and I think our reaction to "can I get a photo of the 3 of you?" was just 👍"sure man" 👍 Years later, I am glad this photo with THE FLASH TURNED ON was taken in the dealers room. It not only humbles me, but I get to remember a time when I wasn't microkitty and was just in the hobby to be my favorite people and meet people who liked the same things I do. That's actually one thing that I won't change. I only go to shows in costumes from media that I LOVE. because It's a good way to meet people who like the same thing as you.

outside of being better at make up, I now feel more confident in myself. like 90% of the cringe from the first photo is that the flash is on and my wig is bad, but with good lighting, more confidence, and a better wig, I'm finally Tifa :D I'll do her normal outfit later, but I was SO excited to cosplay my favorite outfit of hers, "Mature" is right XD

Minor Update!

I don't really know how to actually start this but heyoooooooo! It's been a while and I've been on and off but I'm officially back again!

I know I say I'm coming back a lot but I do legitimately mean it this time! XD I've had a LOT of stuff on my plate to deal with but I'm trying to take everything one step at a time.

I got a LOT of new art to share so I'm happy to get that started tomorrow!

Overall, it's been a really strange and tumultuous time for me but it's beginning to mellow out somewhat. I've been trying get back to enjoying making art and such and recovering from kinda the absolute emotional black hole I was in last year. It's gotten a lot better since then but y'know. Recovery still takes time.

In any case, I'm not sure if I'll get back to making Stanley Parable stuff soon. Part of my funk was subconsciously forcing myself into making content for the engagement it got me and while I do feel myself going through the withdrawal of not having a whole bunch of engagement like before, I think it's ultimately healthier. It helps to get me back to making art I'm currently interested in. That being said, I WILL return to it but in my own time. Not gonna rush things too much.

That being said, I'm hoping everyone is open to seeing more of my other stuff! Phantom of the Opera is probably the biggest thing on my brain at the moment so be prepared to see some of that XD. I also really want to share more of my OCs as well!

And once again, I'm kinda planning to share more casual writing on here. Kinda like opinion pieces/reviews of stuff and headcanons a bit more freely. (One of the things about me that I've realized is that I really held myself back bc of my perfectionism and unnecessary need to prove myself in fandom spaces so no more of that.)

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm excited to start kind of a new chapter here on Tumblr! As bad as my experience of a lot of personal stuff was last year, it's definitely taught me a lot in how to approach things this time around this year! And I hope y'all continue to join me in this journey. 😁😁

i am happy to write smut when the relationship/thread calls for it, and i also enjoy nsfw headcanons alongside sfw ones! i'd say i prefer a 80/20 story to smut ratio. i am also comfortable with most dark or complicated themes, but this will probably be case by case basis. i'm looking for a soap opera inspired town mumu, basically! a good variety mix of drama & intrigue, angst & fluff, smut & sweetness, tragedy & other dark themes, ect, but nothing too intensely or consistently dark or taboo

After That Beautiful Sound, when BJ is explaining his plan to his clones, one of the women is stood there wiggling her fingers and popping her hips out and she's so cute!!

I never really cared about Otho but the man who played is a whole ass Shane Madej caricature and I kind of love him now

We unfortunately do not get red Beetlejuice, but for a split second the lights give him a similar effect and while it's not the same, I will take it. It's better than nothing I suppose

To fill in the awkward silence after the "we both have dead moms" joke, BJ fucking bounces on Juno's severed leg like a pogo stick????? It literally sucked the air out of my body and I had to force myself to breath so I didn't start wheezing and disrupting the whole auditorium

We got confetti'd after the curtain call and I grabbed 3 handfuls :) That's not really a note on the show, I just felt like sharing

Ok on to my feelings about the cast:

Justin:

Listen, no one can ever top Alex, but I'll be damned if Justin isn't a close second.

Just constantly screaming and doing his little dancy dance, even if it's during normal dialogue that does not call for screaming or dancy dancing.

Not much in the feral behavior department, but he sticks his tongue out so. much. A lot of sarcastic gasping too like sir close your mouth before bugs start crawling inside

He takes his sweet time finishing dialogue. There were several times where there would be a good 30 seconds of dead air, and every time the laughter died down it would start up and fill the silence again. I don't know what spell he cast to make the audience do that but it was a good one.

I'll be honest I wasn't so sure about him when the casting was announced but god damn it he just has so much charisma I want to get on all fours and bark for him

Im not taking that back btw you're gonna have to live with me saying that

Isabella:

My favorite Lydia hands down.

Her Lydia has so much attitude she's almost a bit of a bully. There's so much sarcasm and angst and anger in her delivery. She plays the moody teenage girl character well.

Not really an acting not but Isabella has such big, expressive eyes. Granted, I had pretty close seats, but you can still see her eye rolls and quirked eyebrows from the stage it's amazing.

Overall she's a fantastic Lydia and again, my absolute favorite. No shade to Sophie, but I feel like her Lydia was... a bit whiny and immature. Isabella is truly grieving her mother and you can see how much of a toll all these changes are having on her. I absolutely love the edge and the bite she brings to Lydia.

Britney and Will:

These two.

These two are out of fucking control for real.

Take the goof factor from the original Maitlands and crank that shit up to 11.

Gonna have to agree with Beetlejuice though, Will's Adam is quite sexy...

"Adam... You're boring. But! You're sexy. You should own that." *cue Will doing a full body roll*

I dont know if it's his height or voice or line delivery but he just seems a lot less... idk pathetic? than the original Adam. It's a nice change of pace. I always wished they did more to develop his character.

Britney brings a lot of spunk to Barbara. Like Barbara has always been the slightly more adventurous one in the relationship but Britney really makes her shine.

OG Barbara is a bit more subdued but Britney's body language is so big? I guess is the right word? So many big gestures and so much movement. Im always a big fan of when actors use their whole bodies to deliver their lines instead of just standing pin straight and talking.

Kate:

I've noticed a lot of people don't really like her Delia and while she isn't my number one favorite either, I still think she does a good job

OG Delia, I feel, is out of touch with the times and trying to be "hip" while still being old school. Kate's Delia is very much aware of "kids these days" and is an obnoxious try hard. I kind of like her take on the character in that sense.

Delia has absolutely no concept of personal space. She stands wayyyy to close to Lydia and whenever Lydia gets fed up, she gets in Delia's face to give her a taste of her own medicine. I LOVE the dynamic between them.

Also Kate's Delia is lowkey kind of bullied by Lydia? Like Lydia is actually pretty mean to her. Again, I love how Kate and Isabella interact with each other. There's a lot more turmoil and strain between these two that I feel was lacking in the original production (at least from what I've seen in the bootlegs I've watched).

Jesse:

Not as imposing or strict as OG Charles, but I like it. I don't prefer it, but I like it.

I feel like Jesse's Charles wears his heart on his sleeve? You can really hear how tired and lost and confused he is when he's struggling to communicate with Lydia.

I never cried while watching bootlegs but damn it, their performance of Home almost made me cry...

But wait. There's even more. In my google drive live (and die) dozens of unpublished fanfics from various fandoms. Right now, my favorite is about Resident Evil: Village (Heisenberg x OC), but god there are so many more. Every time I fixate on a piece of media, I have to write about it and insert myself into the universe. Usually I abandon the fics though.

Plus PLUS most of what I would say boils down to "thanks for reading bby" and that gets repetitive. I do read and cherish every single comment I get though.

Haven't ended any yet. Striving to make people cry with BS though.

Again, I have a terrible habit of simply just never ending my fanfictions.

I think I'm abnormal among fandom authors because I never get very excited about shipping canon characters. The one exception is Dean x Castiel -- I am a fucking DIE HARD Destiel shipper. But otherwise, fanfiction for me is about inserting myself or my relatable characters into fandoms.

So when you ask my favorite ship, it's gotta be me x Karl Heisenberg.

Dialogue. Flow. ... clarity?

Life's New Adventures and Secrets

Chapter 28

Bumblebee sighed as he looked at the movie list, "Why does this have to be hard? I've fought Decepticons and helped save the planet and this is what gets me stumped," he muttered.

"How about Oliver and Company for the sparklings?" Fixit suggests.

Bumblebee looked at the cover, "Isn't that based on the book called Oliver?"

"Yes, made for kids."

Looking at the cover he could see several dogs and a cat on a taxi, with a creepy human in the background, "You sure it's made for kids?"

"Pretty sure. It's from Disney the most popular kids movie making company on this planet."

"Wasn't the last movie made by Disney?"

"Yep, and they have some good movies for children and adults," Metalsound chipped in.

"Hey, Metalsound. How are you doing?" Bumblebee inquires.

"I'm awesome. Having trouble picking a movie?"

"Yeah, I suggested Oliver and Company but the lieutenant doesn't seem to like it."

"It's a good movie, trust me. I've seen it so many times that I've lost count."

"I don't know."

"Why do you not like it?"

"Because it's based on that book Oliver and I've read that book, the story just doesn't seem like something for kids."

"The Lion King was based on Hamlet. Trust me Disney is good at keeping these stories kid-friendly."

"How is The Lion King based on Hamlet?"

"I think it was more similar to it. I never read Hamlet."

"I thought the movie was based on the wildlife in Africa."

"It's a little bit of both."

"OK, we have the kid's movie, now for the adults," Fixit brought up a list for the adults.

"Any suggestions, Metalsound?" Bumblebee asked.

Metalsound's optics were glued on one of the movies, "Have you guys noticed how close Razorclaw and Soundwave have been getting?"

"Yeah. What about it?"

Metalsound grinned in a slightly disturbing manner, "I have the perfect movie for them," she pointed at the movie.

"The Phantom of the Opera, nice choice."

"It's an awesome movie, another one of my favorites," she says with excitement, "I'll try to control myself when we watch it."

Bumblebee and Fixit chuckle, "Yeah, we'll see Metalsound."

Later that night, Fixit had everything set up, the kids were settled up front while the adults sat behind them. Razorclaw wasn't as shy as when he first came to the base, he was a little more comfortable being around the others. They all sit down to watch the movie.

Emberwing sat between the boys, they were all excited about the movie, "I hope it has some action in it," Seajumper said.

"Me too," Nightback agreed, feeling excited.

"Do you know what we'll be watching this time?" Razorclaw asked quietly as the opening credits started.

"You'll find out."

Razorclaw chuckled quietly as a man started singing. The femmes awed when they saw the kittens getting new homes. They then awed with sympathy as the one kitten didn't get taken and was washed away. The sparklings gasped as the kitten fell into the sewer drain, only to sigh in relief when he climbed out, "That was close," Emberwing whispered to herself.

They felt bad seeing the kitten have to fend for itself against the dogs and everything else. By the time the young one had gotten somewhere safe, he got scared by the thunder and lightning. Once he calmed down he washed his face before falling asleep.

"Aw, the little kitten is so cute," says Strongarm.

"It is, but not as cute as our pup," Steeljaw whispered.

"I agree."

They all watched as the kitten walked the streets of New York, hoping someone would take him home with them. He walked out onto the road but came right back on the sidewalk only to fall on his back when he tripped over his paws. Everybody awed.

They saw a dog walking the street as it passed a small brown dog. Hopping onto the car he got the female's attention, she turned to see him making kissy faces at her. The grown femmes all giggled at that.

"Ew," the sparklings said, looking in disgust.

The female dog let out a gasp before she humphed and left with her owner. The kitten got some help from the dog, Dodger, in getting some food only to be ripped off as Dodger took off. He challenged the kitten to get the hot dogs when he broke into a song. The kitten was trying to get the hot dogs from him.

Once the song was over the kitten followed Dodger to a place in the alleyway, "Come on kitty you can get them back," Emberwing whispered.

Their owner soon came in talking about needing money for a man named Sykes. The dogs quickly spotted the food and ran for it, tackling the man to the ground. The boys were losing interest until the dog fight broke out then they were into the movie.

"Yeah, get them!"

One of the bad dogs tried going after the cat, he yelled in pain when the cat scratched him. The other dogs jump in front of the cat to protect him, "Run along, Roscoe, your master's calling," the female told them in a smug tone.

"You tell them, girl," Strongarm says to the female on the screen and the other femmes cheered in agreement. The Dobermans growled as they left.

"That's how you handle them."

Metalsound smirked for a moment before the human came back. The movie goes on and they soon get to the part where Oliver gets taken in by a little rich girl. Oliver had gotten into a little trouble with the family's dog, Georgette. Georgette was trying to get rid of him because she didn't like having him around.

"She's kind of mean," Emberwing whispered to the boys.

"Yeah."

The dogs had finally managed to find Oliver. With some help from Georgette, they managed to rescue the kitten. But the kitten didn't want to be rescued, and soon both the kitten and the girl were kidnapped by Sykes. Oliver and the gang tried to rescue the girl only to get caught by Sykes again. They manage to get the girl and escape after taking out Sykes and the dogs.

The kids winced when one of the Dobermans fell on the train tracks, yelping as he got shocked, "Ow, that gotta hurt" Seajumper says still wincing.

"I'm sure it did," Emberwing whispered.

"It does," Sideswipe replied and the sparklings winced again.

"Stop scaring them," Metalsound growled softly.

They all saw the oncoming train as the car kept heading towards it. The sparklings closed their optics as the train ran over the car with Sykes still in it. Oliver, Dodger, and the gang all escape. Oliver and the girl made it home safely, Dodger and the young cat parted ways as the gang started singing, Why Should I Worry? Then the movie ends.

"That was awesome!" Seajumper yelled with excitement.

"Yeah!" Nightback exclaimed in agreement with him.

"I liked the songs," Emberwing started humming the song that Dodger was singing.

"And it's time for bed," Metalsound chuckled as she scooped up her daughter.

"Aww, but I'm not sleepy yet," Emberwing tried to argue.

"Same goes for you two," says Strongarm as she walks over to her son and picks him up.

"Aww, can we stay up a little longer, Mom? Please," Nightback asked.

"No, you need to go to bed."

"Just five more minutes?"

"OK, five more minutes but that's it."

"Yes!"

Metalsound sighed and placed Emberwing down. Fixit played the next movie for the adults.

"What's this movie?" Seajumper asked.

"It's called The Phantom of the Opera," Bumblebee replied.

"What's a phantom?" Nightback asked.

"And what's an opera?" Emberwing asked in curiosity.

"A phantom is like a ghostly figure and an opera is where people sing at high notes."

The movie opens up with a man bidding away some items to different people. The sparklings quickly fell asleep on top of each other, all snoring softly making their parents chuckle. The femmes went to pick up their kids only to be stopped by their mates, "We got them," Steeljaw said softly.

"Alright, hurry back," Strongarm whispered back to him.

Heyyy, I don't have a number for the spotify wrapped, but I do want to ask something. I've been slowly getting into steam powered giraffe, and i saw you had some of their songs in your list. Could you list some of your favourites of theirs? I know next to nothing about them, and I don't really know where to start. Feel free to recommend as much as you like, I'd really appreciate it!

Oh my god I love this QUESTION!!! It's been so long since I got an SPG ask!!!

Honestly, when I started getting into them I genuinely just listened to their whole discography in chronological order while I was doing homework or whatever and that was a really great introduction, because you get to see how their sound and aesthetic evolved over time and that's really cool! I also recommend listening to their albums in order at least once because for a bunch of them, there's a distinct theme or ongoing bits and bobs and skits that flow into each other (Album 1 and VQ most noticeably, 2c Show and MKIII less so).

Otherwise, my two favorite albums are Album 1 (either version is really fun to me) and 1896, which bookend nicely as of now. I like Album 1 a lot because it's just very. . . themed? It's one of their most stylistic albums and there's a lot of really solid "beginner SPG fan" songs in there that are pretty classic. 1896 will also always be one of my favorites because I'm just enamored with Zer0's voice and the influence he brings to the band and I just think it's a very cohesive and nice-sounding album overall.

I would not, however, recommend starting off with Vice Quadrant 1 and 2 until you get a grasp on SPG and their whole. . . thing. There are bangers in there for SURE, almost all of them criminally underrated, but it's also a space opera performed by three vocalists and as such is very hard to follow at times.

For specific songs that make me go CRAZYYY that are also pretty beginner-friendly I'll limit myself to a few from each album because I'm taking you seriously when you say to recommend as much as I like:

Gangnam Style (Chapter Five)

I rested my chin in my palm and blew out a bored breath. I've been to award show after award show, and they're all the same. I'll admit, they are entertaining, but i guess i'm really not feeling it tonight. Still, the Metro opera house is a majestic place, and it's big enough to get lost in. The Spears girl they put me next to seems nice enough. She kept looking at me from the corner of her eye, like she really wanted to say something, but was too scared. She seems awfully fragile, for someone so talented.

"Ease up on her. you were like that once, too." I reminded myself, inwardly.

I can't help but feel a little nervous as Chris Rock begins his little comedy spiel. Don't get me wrong, i think he's hilarious, but the joke isn't as funny when your the butt of it. I twirled a sharp fingernail through my hair, and just prayed he wasn't going to make a big deal about my new image.

I got no such luck.

Chris puts a hand on his hip, and uses the other hand to rub his chin, like he was thinking.

"And what's going on with that Jamie girl? She is so damn angry now! i don't know what the hell happened, but i'm scared sh**less! Somebody's gotta get her a snickers bar or something..."

I didn't give him the satisfaction of anything beyond an eyeroll. In his defense, the joke is actually pretty funny, but i had to keep up appearances. I couldn't have my "tough girl" image cracking before it was even fully formed. My new manager, Kristen shoots him a sharp glare as the audience cackles in at my expense.

"Ignore him. He's just looking for a cheap applause line."

"I wouldn't call clapping from the biggest stars in Hollywood a cheap applause line."

Kristen gives me some side-eye for my snappy attitude, but i pretend i don't see it.

There we're some pretty entertaining performances, but i was a little preoccupied, since i'd be the second to last person performing.

In fact, i was so preoccupied, i barely noticed when they said i had one Best female video. Kristen had to elbow me in the ribs to get my attention.

"Your up." She hissed. I could tell she was more than a little impatient with me, but i could hear the pride in her voice as i stood up to collect my moonman.

I walk up to accept my award, and i hope i don't look like i'm shaking as i take from the hands of the presenter. I wasn't e really expecting to win anything beyond nominations, so i haven't practiced a thing. My English has gotten a lot better, though, so this probably won't be a total disaster.

"It's nice to be back everyone!" I say. The audience cheers, to my surprise. "I know i disappeared for a few years, but i'm so thankful for the support i've gotten from every single one of you. I'm sorry that i felt i had to leave all those years ago, but i promise you, no one will ever make me do something i don't choose to you. To all of my fans: thank you. For everything. Never let anyone stop you from doing what you love."

I hold my moonman in the air victoriously. The audience roars, and i let myself smile. I walked down to my seat and Kristen squeezes my arm with a rare smile.

"Do you have any idea how proud i am of you?" She asked earnestly

I smile and squeeze her arm too. I couldn't be prouder of everything we've accomplished.

I pace back and forth backstage. My backup dancers looked at me curiously, but i didn't care. I'm way too nervous to sit still. Everything has to perfect.

We would be performing "Breakin Dishes" that night. I would've liked to do something a little less high energy, like Nightmare or Gasoline, but Kristen said an uptempo track like Breakin' Dishes would be get the crowd excited, and in turn, help my career to flourish again. Buzzkill. I nervously take a large swig from my flask. Probably not smart to get trashed before a performance, but i say there's nothing wrong with a little liquid courage.

The stage is set up a bit like a prison cell. My dancers and i stand with our hands clutching the bars, until the spot lights turn on. We wear striped prison uniforms, like the ones from the american western movies. I'd been performing a lot recently, but this was the Vma's we were talking about. The Spotlight's turned on, and the audience cheered.

Here goes nothing...

Breakin Dishes starts to play, and we confidently strut in front of the bars. I pray i'm not shaking as i face the crowd with a hand on my cocked hip.

I'm on my way out. Not quite running, since that's not really possible in heels. I've one two moonmen tonight: One for Best Female Video, and another for Best Cinematography, which are safely tucked in my purse. I have no other reason to be here.

I had no plans on stopping for small talk, and then i feel a little tap on my shoulder. I turn to face what i thought would be a pestering fan. To my shock, it's the Spears girl, smiling shyly at me. I lift my chin slightly, like a queen speaking to a peasant.

That seems to make her more nervous, but she doesn't back down.

"Hi Jamie. I just wanted to say that i'm a huge fan of your work... and that i'm really glad to see you back. You've always inspired me. Now, more than ever."

I"m totally floored by her words. I have to at least say thank you.

"Thank you. I appreciate that. You have real talent yourself. You deserve to be a star."

Spears seems equally floored by my compliment. She smiles and gives me a quick side hug, which i reluctantly return.

"You have no idea how much it means to hear that from you."

After saying this, she goes of to greet NSYNC and her little boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.

I think she could do better, but it's really none of my business.

I'm ready to leave, so start back in the direction i started in. Hopefully i can avoid that Vanilla Ice wannabe i met earlier, if i hurry. No sooner do i begin heading off, do i hear a voice in my ear.

I want to talk more fluff about your Break a Leg!Boys (I’m having a bad time medically and I need more positive energy before I send myself spiraling). Late night movies become an eventual habit, not only for the boys to take notes on improving their skills. There’s something magical about watching Sun and Moon experience things outside of Fazbear’s control. Of course, they can only live vicariously through the scenes, but there’s times when you can genuinely see something that wasn’t just fabricated through lines of code. Watching them plaster themselves to the screen, vibrating with pure excitement as daring battles of good and evil play out. The way Sun’s frame tenses as the hero struggles compared to Moon’s growing intrigue. Movies with less clear villains don’t entirely go over their heads though sometimes they need clarification. Some may love the questions and some may not. As they grow closer to Y/N, they may request to watch a more of their favorite films rather then the original course of kid movies. Which of course leads them to more adult musicals, you can’t tell me there wasn’t a week that Y/N didn’t regret letting Moon watch Phantom of the Opera.

But yes!!! Yes absolutely!! Y/N is pretty much given carte blanche to rehabilitate the boys. They might play it safe with management/the boys' morals and go for kids' movies at first, but Y/N definitely starts to sneak in their favorites pretty soon! I think Sun would end up liking things like Princess Bride a lot! > : ) Yeees Phantom of the Opera for Moon!! I think both would be happy as long as the battle of good and evil is grandiose -- they do love dramatics, and when the action leaves you on the edge of your seat! gfjkld

Sun likes a good heroic monologue, and happily ever afters --though he's the one that ends up liking when things are more morally grey and make you think deeply long after the movie's over.

Moon is very happy that Villain Songs tend to slap so hard dfdjklg He's aware that villains don't usually win unless it's horror, and he doesn't mind that -- he just wants to have fun. So he likes flashy villains ehehe.

I think Sun would end up going for complex or powerful, well-told stories, and Moon would end up very interested in like. The visual aspect? (Megamind voice: Presentation!!) since he also takes care of the light rig and stuff like that, he'd incorporate strong color changes and be interested in things like how people's placement on stage, color, and lighting give the scene a different vibe.

Despite the gremlin tendencies he never moves away from, he's pretty meticulous and particular, and instead of Fazbear's 'more is more' approach to special effects and flashy additions, he'd learn to do subtle and unsettling changes well, as well as flashy but not too much. Now I'm picturing them using a system with cast shadows/'shadow puppets' to have an epic sword fight despite only being one body

The moment Y/N starts to see signs of how much they get into the movies -signs of the boys' actual, long-buried personalities - they get super invested. They make it their personal mission to show them as much as they can, and the duo/trio (since. Sun and Moon aren't separate. can you IMAGINE in this AU--) often end up more interested in the other one's reaction more than the movie (like say in your example where Sun is tense and practically glued to the screen, Y/N is probably staring at him way more than the movie, just as invested in his reaction as Sun is in the story.)

Y/N ends up looking so closely that they start to see more of their personality and preferences - probably even before the boys realize it about themselves (or, well, before they have the time to analyze and acknowledge it themselves) so they take notes and show them more movies they think will fit their tastes

On that note, Y/N totally ends up 1)Getting a library card to rent DVDs/An external drive to.... *find* movies/filmed performances pretty early on, and 2)having secret slumber parties with the boys ALL the time

I think Y/N should end up being handler and stage director, with a good helping of working on props and costume (or at least working with them on costume designs/helping with quick fixes) and they probably help the boys cobble together homemade fan merch/costumes when they ask ehehe or as a surprise! (They do and don't regret making them a very swishy cape during Moon's Phantom phase)

I packed up all the stuff needed for the sleepover. I'm excited and nervous and the same time. I organized my Gyari collection in my bag and bought my toothbrush and toothpaste. I feel really honored that Iruma wanted me to sleepover. As I fold my PJs I thought about our conversation.

All though what does he wants to talk about?..

~Flashback~

I love Iruma I truly do (as a friend/brother in arms) but this is getting worrying. He hasn't replied in 30 minutes. I was annoyed at first, but I knew that Iruma isn't the type to leave me on read.

Ever since I sent him the picture, he hasn't respond. Maybe he went to the bathroo-

GYARI,GYARI,GYARI! ( his ringtone )

All of the sudden, my thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. It was from Iruma. I sigh from relief. I picked up the call.

"Hey Lied-kun! Sorry for the delay.." He sounded kind of..hoarse? I didn't think much of it. What he said next was more interesting.

"Hey..Lied-kun can you come over? I kinda want to know more of Akudols.. what if you sleepover the nigh-" I choked. Shit. Now we're having  ✨The Awkward Silence Show ✨. Great job me. As I continue to drag myself to hell, Iruma interrupted.

"You know what- you probably don't want to come over anyways, I mean I was already being rude in the first plac-" O' hell no, he ain't gonna talk shit about himself in front of me. " Iruma it's fine, I was more worried than annoyed. Plus I would love to come to your house."

I gulped and pause for a bit then continued " The only person your being rude to is yourself." Silence. That's all I heard until Iruma replied. "Oh, ok! Then 8 PM is okay? Tonight? I'll send you the location!" his voice sounded excited like a little kid. I chuckled. "Sure.."

Iruma sighed. What is he..? " I needed to talk to you tonight. So thanks. I'm only gonna say this once..." I can hear him sigh and continued.

" Arigato, Onii-chan." Then he hung up

It took a moment to process the information. When I finally got what he meant, I literally and internally screamed.

"YOU CAN'T JUST HANG UP LIKE THAT! WHAT THE DELKIRA SH-"

"Urusai Lied!" Shit. I forgot Nee-chan is still here. It's already 6:55 PM. I better start packing.

~Flashback ended~

I dozed off too long. I looked my clock and it was already 7:45 PM. SHIT SHIT SHIT WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO!? OH RIGHT NEE-CHAN! I shoved all my stuff in my bag and screamed "NEEE-CHAAAAN!" Boy, Nee-chan was not happy.

"WHAT!?" her voice was like a beast awoken from their slumber. I remember about the negotiation, oh my devi I never thought I would do this. " Hey Nee-chan remember when you always wanted to test your driving ever since you've brag about your driver's license?"

She quit her terrifying face and soften her gaze. "I'm listening..." She always wanted to drive ever since she got her driver's license but she's a terrible driver. "I'm giving you a chance if you drive me to this location before it hits 8 PM!" I showed her the location of Iruma-kun's house."

"Okay fine.. but I won't go easy on you.." she smirked as she picked on the apartment keys and open the door. I shivered. Oh Delkira-sama, save me.

TIMESKIP

"I'm gonna puke." I shouldn't have done this. How the devi did she get her driver's license. "Well, we arrived here in time,didn't we?" She directed her eyes on her watch. 7: 58 PM. I rolled my eyes as I got out of the car. "See you tomorrow, Nee-chan." I said as I slammed the car door. I looked up on Iruma-kun house. It's not really a house..it's basically a mansion.

I got startled by Opera-sensei as soon as I looked back down. " Welcome. Lied-kun." I was still shocked from how fast they got here. "A-arigato, O-Opera-sensei." They took my bag from my hand. " You don't have to call me sensei, just call me Opera-san when we're not at Babyls.

I looked around Iruma's house as we walked, it's not that I've never been here before but the view is quite beautiful at night here. Damn, Iruma-kun is so lucky to have such nice parents.. while my parents....

My thoughts were interrupted by a singing voice, Both of Opera san's ear went up. " Iruma-sama?.."

"♫ I could be, I could be your boyfriend ♫"

(This is a song he's singing, it's from his favourite Akudol, (in this fanfic series not irl) plus this song is sang by his voice actor so..)

Me and Opera-san slowly peaked inside.

I looked over at Opera-san and got startled again when they were suddenly holding a recording device. How did they-? I didn't have time to think about it when Iruma suddenly noticed us.

"Oh Lied-kun, Opera san?"

Okay

I'm going to be as vague about this as possible because this is classified information, but I'm in distress and I need to get this out.

I think I am postponing my first HRT treatment, but for a really exciting reason. I was in a choir earlier this year that had a performance go viral online. We were contacted by a popular television program today asking us to come to hollywood to perform on national television next year. I'm shell-shocked. I was already on the news today in a commercial for my first lead role in an opera this weekend, and now this. I don't know what to do with myself.

The filming is going to be late next year, long after my planned starting date for testosterone. I don't know how many more exciting, life-changing opportunities are going to get in between me and letting myself fade into obscurity. And if this is the trajectory that the universe is pulling me, why the fuck am I even wanting to waste my potential like this? Every time I feel confident in my decision to transition, something reminds me that my voice is the only special thing about me and I would be ruining myself by changing it. This would be the best news for any performer in my shoes to receive, but it feels like a major step back for me. I feel like it's impossible to be happy in my position. I'll never be happy until I transition, but transition is keeping me from being happy.

How do you go about picking which fic to read next?

I've decided I'm going to take this opportunity to rant about my favourite AO3 tags some. And also about how a great summary can absolutely sell a fic.

So I've got two modes, as I'm sure most of us fanfic readers have: reading and rereading. Rereading I do a LOT of, I've got so many comfort fics, and the mood for them strikes when I'm stressed or when I'm having a normal Thursday and suddenly the memory of that one specific moment surges up and I have to go find it again (this is a lie my brain tells me. I will read the whole thing again - granted it's under 150k words).

But for new stuff?? Hmm, here follows a few of my favourite things:

For fic authors I'm not familiar with:

General fic things: A nice name. Bonus points if I find out several chapters in that it connects thematically with the plot! No Archive warnings - I'm not the biggest fan of character death etc. If you know me, this doesn't come as a surprise, I like my fics like I like my pets. Fluffy and exciting and comforting. (I will not expand on this simile any more because I realize now it has some major flaws) A sweet spot for words would be >10k and <80k. Not necessary for it to be finished, but I do tend to check finished fics first.

Tags that would definitely reel me in: mutual pining, temporary amnesia, slow burn, fake/pretend relationship, royalty or historical au, time travel/time loops, identity porn, marriage of convenience, workplace au's for some reason, epistolary, kid fic (DONE RIGHT), cheesy romcom crossovers, future fics/time skips, used to date/exes (this is a big one), space operas/sci fi au's, magic and crossovers with other pairings I like. Yeah I guess I like putting my Guys into Situations, no surprise there. Also zombie or apocalypse fics can be fun, if they're not too heavy on the angst. Unless I write it myself.

Summaries: This is the main thing that catches my eye. Probably also not unique there 😂 I like when they're more than two sentences and actually set up the tone and the inciting incident of the fic pretty well. I love a "quirky" premise, if you're like "so character A got cursed to be forgettable and the entire plot happens because of this" I'd be like Hell Yeah I wanna see how that happens!! 😂 I do also like when summaries, combined with the tags, give me an idea of at least like 80% of the fic. I'm not the biggest fan of when an author considers it spoilers if they drop hints about more than the first two scenes. That's what makes fic different from just picking up a random book, imo, and I like to know what I'm in for. That's why I also expect the focus of the summary to be the focus of the fic's main plot. I only find this out later, of course, but we're talking ideal circumstances here.

For fic authors I know/enjoy:

Honestly, same as above but if you manage to hit any one or two elements I'd be interested. I follow a few authors, but not a ton, as I tend to forget to unsub when they move on to new fandoms and then I just live with the emails on random pairings I get 😅

Overall, how I choose new reading material is usually by seeing if my new hyperfixation has my preferred tropes and tags. And by being intrigued by an interesting summary and setup. Once I've worked through all of those, I'll go through the bookmarks of people who've read and enjoyed my favourite fics, and then I've pretty much never dried up on content so far.

because i'd love a slowly expanding cast of characters (maybe start with 2-3 characters each and go from there?), it's very preferable to me that replies stay on the shorter side, as in one paragraph or less (unless the thread is really plot significant or intense/emotional! ik those can get away for us length-wise LOL) this way we can prioritize quality over quantity, and actually get to see relationships & plots evolve over time in many threads rather than spend weeks or months on a single thread and never actually get to all the good stuff we've plotted. in my experience, it's way more fun to have an evolving mumu where replies take maybe 5-10 minutes to write, and it also allows us to keep the progress of the rp going at a continual pace, which keeps it fun, exciting, and fresh!

i am happy to write smut when the relationship/thread calls for it, and i also enjoy nsfw headcanons alongside sfw ones! i'd say i prefer a 80/20 story to smut ratio. i am also comfortable with most dark or complicated themes, but this will probably be case by case basis. i'm looking for a soap opera inspired town mumu, basically! a good variety mix of drama & intrigue, angst & fluff, smut & sweetness, tragedy & other dark themes, ect, but nothing too intensely or consistently dark or taboo

i'd consider myself to be a pretty active rp partner for the most part (i'm in college plus i work sporadic hours as a private tutor) and when replies are on the shorter side, i can usually do at least one set of replies (if we are writing multiple threads at a time, i personally enjoy writing 2 at a time!) a day, but likely more, and i'm down for rapidfire sessions as well when i can! i prefer my partner to have similar activity (it's difficult for me to stay invested in an rp when it mostly just consists of hcs & shared inspo, and when there is very little actual writing happening), though i don't at ALL want my partner to feel pressured to write replies!! it's just a hobby, not a jobby! things happen & life gets busy! but i really appreciate communication and transparency with rp friends! just lmk what's up and i'll do the same for you! and if you can't do replies for some reason, i'm always happy to just chat ooc or do some inspo chatting or plotting!!

Phinks is not talked about a tone! A bunch of people think he is mean but on hxh's page it says that phinks has a kind and loyal heart! And I believe that! And that's why I think he would be perfect for you!

Phinks would like the way you're always up for a challenge when trying something new. The way you want to learn and take on new things is one of the many reasons he was drawn to you.
