How can I cultivate the same, "just keeping making stuff all the time" kind of energy you have? It's very impressive and something I wish I could do!

well, theres a couple reasons i think! one is that i just found ways to be satisfied with small amounts of work. its in part because of my ADHD, but my parents were always trying new things (motorcycles, leatherwork, acrylic paint, collage art, photography, video editing) so that definitely rubbed off on me; i had a great example of people just wanting to try stuff. i keep making stuff all the time because i love trying out new things; you don't have to be an expert to try something new! you just have to have a desire for it! wanna make a zine? google it! wanna write a comic? give it a shot! wanna get into woodworking? buy a carving knife and find a stick or something! i think theres plenty of ways to find entry points into interesting stuff and you gotta let yourself be okay with making shit that sucks just because its fun. which leads me to my second point!!

im okay with being dogshit at stuff! i try new things, i kind of suck at them, and i think it's either 1. cool that i made it this far or 2. kinda funny that this is what its like at the moment. i know that sucking is never permanent, everything can be improved with time, and rarely does anyone ever magically get good at something first try. i think of myself as a talented artist, but its over the course of 2+ decades of drawing; im always improving, and no matter what im going to find things i want to get better at, so why fault myself now for not being perfect? a couple of months ago i really wanted to try woodcarving, so i made spoon with my dad. did it turn out great? not really! you cant even use it as a spoon! but im glad i tried it, it was fun, i had a great time with my dad, and now i know a little bit more going in next time. the idea that you have to be perfect or make tangible progress every single time you try something new is a recipe for burnout. i promise you, it doesnt matter if something doesn't come out like God's Gift to Humanity! Did you have fun? did you learn something? are you satisfied in some small part? good!

last, im just really easy to please myself! I'll make a doodle or implement an idle animation in my game or color a piece and go "wow! thats so cool i did that :)" and it really is just a matter of realizing that its fucking COOL to create stuff, no matter how small! whatever you made didn't exist before you, especially in your own unique way, and now it does! doesn't that rule?! i'm obsessed with it! even if its just a stick figure, its a stick figure you made, and it wasn't there before. thats fucking awesome!!! art is so cool!!!! i think that being happy with small goals and victories is a great way of trying out new things and showing off cool stuff u made, no matter what skill level. :) this turned into a whole big thing, but i hope this helps! tl;dr is try things if they seem fun, be okay with not being good at them, and find stuff about it that makes you happy or satisfied!

AITA for being a ....homewrecker? (🏝 for later)

I'm not sure that's the right word, but whatever. Basically, I (FtM) met this guy (cis M, we'll call him M) over a year ago and we hit it off pretty quick. It was under extremely unusual circumstances, but for the sake of anonymity, I'll be vague and just say: it was 3 AM, Denny's, T.E Lawrence was involved. Now, I'm pretty wary of most guys who go to my school, given I'm trans and unfit to defend myself for various would-break-anonymity reasons, but M is just the best and is incredibly sweet. Days are easier when he's around, even if it's just through a Discord call playing video games. I started harboring feelings for him pretty much immediately, but didn't plan on acting on them for two reasons:

1) I've yet to be in an actual committed relationship (nobody's wanted to stick around, or we both realized quickly we weren't dating material) and I'm terrified of fucking anything up. 2) ....M has a girlfriend. A super long-term one, at that. Like, they met when they were kids, he's been romancing her for ages, they're going to get married and both openly agree they'd be shells of people without each other. Soulmate shit. She's awesome. She's the sweetest, too. Very thoughtful, and soft-spoken, and so so smart. So, no, I didn't plan on doing anything about my feelings. I'm not the type to hide who I am, so I wasn't going to hide anything, but I certainly wasn't going to DO anything either. That's not my place.

Until, one school break, M comes to me and admits he has feelings. And he's wrecked about it. Tells me I'm the only other person he's really had this for, because it's always been his girlfriend. He's a mess. I thought we communicated pretty well, and we'd both made it clear that nothing was going to happen unless Girlfriend knew about it and approved, because she comes first above all else. (I was the one to say this before him, and he was relieved that I understood.) She is priority. She will always be priority, and I totally get that. I'm just some guy, you know? But the conversation ended with me telling him he should probably let her know about this, regardless of how scary that was, because he's an incredibly touchy-feely guy and if I was her I'd like if this was on my radar. New player: M's best friend. very by the book christian guy. Not at all stuck up, but he abstains from worldly pleasures or something like that! He's cool, we're cool.

Except after break, M's best friend makes a few confusing comments, and suddenly, there's now never been a time when just me and M have hung out since. Girlfriend hasn't acted any differently and is still incredibly warm and wonderful, so I'm pretty sure she still doesn't know. I'm a very giving person and like to shower my friends in gifts, so I was undeterred in giving them both valentine's gifts I had bought them months in advance (extra hand wringing on my part.) Girlfriend was ecstatic, loved her gift, and M loved his too. But then he left to go Cry??? Because he hadn't gotten her anything (I'm the only one with a min $ job). I'm not sure where I stand with him or with either of them, and i'm just so confused. I'm 🤷‍♂️ about poly, but with the way they were raised (see M's best friend for reference), their feelings are more muddy about it. I want to talk to M, but being alone in the same room is impossible. I don't know if M has been intentionally making sure we're never alone together, I don't know if Girlfriend knows, or what M wants, what Girlfriend would want or even what I want, because I don't know what's on the table. I don't even know if we're in the same restaurant. Girlfriend is going to find out. M is way too touchy feely even with "supervision". (Granted, he is with everyone, I'm pretty sure I'm just the only person who lets him get away with it.) At this rate, somethings going to give, and i'm honestly just waiting for it to happen now. 🤷‍♂️

Just saw your episode on Smosh Reddit stories! You Shayne and Damian had some great commentary and you and Shayne’s anecdotes at the end made me laugh.

I’m also slowly making my way through Philip J Klass UFO’s the public deceived per a recommended on one of your videos on aliens. Some of the earlier chapters are a bit of a slog with all of the acronyms and names but it’s genuinely very interesting to see a breakdown of different events and cultural reactions to aliens and ufos from the 50s through the early 80s.

Thank you for the recommendation I’m excited to see the next video you pop up in whether it’s on one of your channels or as a guest on another!

I'm glad you found a good resource on UFO culture! That book was very awesome while doing that video.

Smosh Pit was such an awesome experience. Very professional and funny environment. I also did a Smosh Games video (which we recorded first actually) and I told everyone I'll be back anytime they want me. The coolest part I think was having a director for each shoot - I'm so used to being the master of my own material that I've never considered how great it is to have an expert who can lead our conversation along off-camera.

MANGOOO!! hello, been shy to slide into asks but i got very curious looking at your SMG4 posts.. do you have any headcanons you think are cool ? Would be a blast to see them! :D

OH HAI!!!! Oh my god I love headcanons so much I promise, but I'm one of those people who immediately forgets them all when I'm asked about them. Also I forgot which ones are mine and which ones are someone elses, thought tbh if someone HC is good enough for me to think I made it then like, that would be a huge compliment to me haha! X3

I have a few that I can think of off the top of my head right now, there's a few that need a whole post to explain but I'll do that when I feel like it, gonna leave out any LGBT headcanons because I already agree with everyone else, they are all gay and trans except the ones that aren't and that's so awesome.

Again forgive me if I repeat someone else's HC, or if anything I say is proven to not be possible, I fucking forgorrrrr;

SMG3 has tattoos, I know I've shown that one already but listen. He has 3, one is a half sleeve on his left forearm that's got a skull and a bunch of bombs and explosions around it, another one is on his right mid thigh which is a memorial tattoo for Terence, and one very small one on his back right shoulder blade that's just a little skull (it's very blown out and old). He'd like to get more at some point, none of the others have any tattoos but he's trying to convince them to get one.

All the SMG's have the little arrow thing that was on their guardian pod as a marking somewhere on their body, SMG1 has his on his chest under his scarf, SMG2 has his under his hat, SMG3 has his on his lower back, and SMG4 has his on the back of his neck, they're all pretty hidden and not too visible, but anytime they use their meme guardian powers they glow.

Tari is just a bird fan in general, for someone who stays inside gaming she sure knows every single bird ever. She's not a bird watcher but she can identify any bird you show her easily, and she's always happy and excited to see bird when she does go out. Obviously though ducks are her favourite, but she like all waterfowl in general.

Karen is divorced, she just gives me divorced girl energy. She has full custody of her kids because her ex was a piece of shit and didn't want them anyway, her kids were all too young to know about him thankfully. She probably got married right out of highschool or something, those relationships never seem to work out. I keep thinking of those "day in the life of a divorced 23 year old" videos like, that's her lol.

Bob's secret hobby is fabric work, you will catch him dead before you catch him admitting or even showing anything he makes, but he makes garments and furniture for fun. Sometimes he'll throw them into the black market and lie about their value for a quick buck and to clear out space, he doesn't care much once they're completed he just likes making them.

I think this one's just semi canon, but SMG4 Mario is secretly really good at reading people, yeah he's kinda dumb but he can pick up what people are feeling in depth, he just doesn't always get why. He's also just a good guy to go to for comfort, not advised though don't listen to him, he's just really good to ramble/vent too (mainly because he won't remember what you said lol).

I'm sure I'll think of more as soon as I post this, but come back and ask again at some point and I'll try and remember them lol

CASA BONITA PT2

KYLE X READER!

Description: Y/n tries to find the best gift to give to Kyle for his birthday, getting help from her best friend butters. Y/n becomes a little closer to the gang. :)

Warning: Swearing, Fluff, Sad, color coded a little.

"guy's I need help." I ask sitting down at the girl lunch table and just like that I had all of their attention on me.

" what's up Y/n?" Wendy asks.

"okay so I was invited to Kyle's birthday for Casa Bonita.-"

"CASA BONITA!!' "LUCKY!"

"OMG i WISH!"

"SO COOL!"

the girls gawk at this information, this was a shock. I had only moved to America a couple month ago so was still getting use to some cultural norms.

"What is Casa Bonita and what do I get Kyle for his birthday?" I ask the girls.

"Casa Bonita a super awesome mexican resturant" Bebe started

"Yeah! they have cliff divers, puppet shows, forever lasting food!" Nichole continues

"and they even have photoshoots you can do with friends. it's the best!" Hidi finishes I nod but sigh again.

"Okay that's done but what do I get Kyle for his birthday? he told me not to get him anything, but It would be way too weird!" I explain they all hum in agreement and we all start thinking.

"What were you thinking of getting him Y/n?" Wendy asks me I feel my cheeks heat up for some odd reason when she asked.

"Umm I was going it knit him a scarf with his favioute-" "Kyle probably already has a lot of stuff like that! Plus, he's loaded Y/n he could buy one whenever he wants" Hidi says.

"yeah, he took me too a basketball game in another town for a date!" Nichole says they all agree.

"he's loaded?"

"Yeah, all Jew's are! aren't there any jews in Australia?" Bebe asks me.

"Well of course there are, but their quite rare I've actually never met a Jew before Kyle. I wasn't really taught about it."

"don't worry about its Y/n, you can't make him a scarf do you know what he likes?" Bebe asks me, it took me minute to think...

"Umm, Terriance and Philp but everyone likes that! wait! he loves video games like guitar hero!"

"Nice why not get him something like that then?"

"Okay, then. thanks guys!" And like that the topic changed instantly but the question was still on my mind, should I get him something with video games? he probably already has stuff like that.

"You alright Y/n?" Wendy asks I nod my head and sigh.

"You know, personally I feel like Kyle would like the scarf better." this catches my attention.

"How so?"

"OH, just a feeling" She winks at me giggles and goes back to eating, we all catch up and soon enough it was class time.

I walk onto the bus and make my way down Kyle waves back I sit across from his ale next to butters. Butters and I got along well, apparently, we have familiar attuites to life or that's what craigs say. Butters was a cool dude we play video games together at his sometimes.

"Butter's, I need your help."

"Well, whatever you need I'm here!" He says, I glance to Kyle who was talking to Kenny and Stan, he almost catches my eyes before I turn my back to him to face. butters.

"I don't know what to get Kyle for his birthday, I was going to knit him a scarf. But then the girls said he's rich and won't want that and to get him a video game."

"Oh boy that is a tough one!"

"Yeah! So, I wanted to know what you're getting him!" I ask my friend.

"Well, I was just going to get him. something with Philp and Terriance, like a T-shirt or a plush maybe I'm still thinking about it. But I mean Kyle already has a lot of winter clothes, so I think the video games are a good idea!" Butters explains I nod but then he starts talking again.

"But then again, I love the mittens you made me, I wear them all the time! there in my bag right now! So, Kyle might like the scarf better! oh man this is a hard one. I'm sorry Y/n." Butter apologies, you pat you friends shoulder a little and give him a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry butters, but thanks anyways I'll probably just ask craig if he's not too busy."

"I though you where g-going the Kyles tonight too play games?"

"Oh fuck-" I quickly turn around to Kyle and see if the bus driver is paying. attention.

I jump seats to Kyles quickly, as soon as a speed bump came. Kyle jumps slightly at this.

"Y/n? You shouldn't move seats the bus drivers going to get mad!"

"I know, sorry Kyle but I need to cancel our plans! just for today can we move it too tomorrow?" I ask him he seemed shocked but gives me a nod.

"Thanks Kyle! I know you love your schedules and I'm super sorry for cancelling last minute. seriously dude."

"Yeah, it's fine, but is it okay if I ask why?"

I freeze I can't tell him the reason I am cancelling is go to shopping with Craig for a gift for him.

"Oh, Craige needs help with something- it's a family thing you know! anyway, thank dude" I go sit on the very edge of the seat and wave the butters, who smiles back. but Kyle pulls me back to him by the back of my jumper.

"Umm, you shouldn't move because you'll get in trouble..." the boys cheeks where a little red and mine where heating up a little at this for some reason.

"I guess." silence appeared and was very hard not to feel Awkard by it,

"Kyle what's your favioute video game?"

"I love guitar hero, but I really want this game called Minecraft I'm hoping my parents get it for my birthday.!" we started to talk of video games, then our grades and how our day was and soon enough it was mine and Craigs stop.

"Bye Tweek, come on Y/n!" Craig says catching my attention.

"Okay Bye Kyle! see ya tomorrow.!" I say and grab my bag from butter seat.

"bye butters!"

"bye, Y/n be safe!"

I walk pass Tweek and wave bye to the boy with a smile, he smiles and waves back. and we get of the buss.

"Craig how was your day?"

"It was good, why arn't you going to kyles again?" he asks me as we enter his house.

"Hey kids how were school?!" Aunty asks.

"Good thanks Aunty!" I call entering the house.

"Craige, I need your help! what do I get Kyle for his birthday?" I ask him.

"I don't know, what were you thinking" Craig could read me like a book, and I follow him up to his room as we continue talking.

"I was going to Knit something for him, but the girls said he probably won't like it and I should play it safe and get him this video game called Minecraft or something! But Wendy said I should knit him something! and Butter couldn't help me! And I'm slightly freaking out!" I blurted it all out, he just stands there...

"Just take a deep breath, Your gonna be fine. Kyle will be happy with whatever you get him, don't start stressing over something silly." he walks me to his bed I sigh and I sit on it and breath like Craige told me.

"Okay, thank you Craig. but what do you think?" craig sits next to me and thinks, I wait patiently for my cousin.

"I think you should knit him that scarf you're really talented at that, when's the party?"

"This Saturday, 5:30 I already texted Aunty about it."

"Yeah, that should be enough time to knit him a scarf, He's going to like it Y/n. I mean I love the hat you gave me; I wear it everywhere." he points to his hat which makes me smile thinking of when I made him it. his old one was wearying out and getting too small so I made him one so the next time we came to America he could have it. It's weird to think I live in it and with him now. Waiting for my parents to finish the move before and buy a house in south park.

"Thanks, Craige You're the best cousin I could have asked for."

Y/n was 15 minutes early when they pulled up to Kyles house. Y/n waves goodbye to her Aunty after dropping her off. She walks up to the door and knock. A woman with big red hair and a blue dress opens the door.

'So, this is Kyles mum?'

"Ooh hello their! you must be one of Kyles friends! I'm Sheila nice to meet you. Your here early! KYLE YOUR FRIENDS HERE EARLY!"

"It's nice to meet you ma'am, I apologies if I'm late- "No, no. your fine come in! Your actually early! it's lovely to meet you.

"Oh, what a polite young girl! it's lovely to meet you Y/n!" when she got in she saw stan and Kenny their as well.

"Y/n! Glade you made it!" "Happy birthday Kyle! hey guys!" I greet them.

"hey Y/n"

"hey Y/n, how you going?"

"excited I've never been to Casa Bonita before!"

"what they don't have a Casa Bonita in Australia?"

"No, so I'm excited to see one. All the girls told me it's fun."

"You'll love it! it's fucking cool!" I chuckle a little at kenny.

"hey I said not to get me anything!" kyle says notcing the small box I was holding it was so tiny compared to the other boys gifts.

"Sorry! I couldn't help it. It would be werid if I didn't get you a gift kyle. It's your birthday after all."

"Seriously you didn't have too." their was a small silence Kyle looked handsome in his suit, though his green hat stood out. You didn't question it.

"bu-bu-bu-bu" Ike voice was heard from down the hall as the little boy walks down the hall when he enters the room, he enters and made his way to the boy's and Y/n though no one had noticed yet.

"So Y/n do you go to the same school as the boys?" Sheila asks you.

"Yeah I only joined like a month or two ago- huh?" you feel something wrap around your legs and see a tiny little boy their hugging your leg.

"IKE GET BACK HERE! SORRY SHEILA HE GOT AWAY!" a man with a jewish hat on his head.

"IS this your brother kyle?" Y/n asks kyle who sighs at his little brother.

"Yeah, Ike come here-" "NO!" he shouts, Kyle eye brows cross.

"Ike come on-" "NOOOO!" he screams Y/n chuckles at how frusterated kyle was getting.

"Kyle your brother got a crush on Y/n!" Stan teases, making kenny burst out laughing.

"hi Ike could you let go of me for a second please? just a second." And like that Ike obeys your request you kneel down to his hight and pick the boy up.

"Your brother adorable Kyle!" "NONONONONONONONO!" Ike shouts making Kenny laugh harder and stan chuckle. even Kyles mum joined in a little.

"isn't that adorable Kyle! Your brother likes your little friend!" Kyle bit his tongue at the scene as his father tried to take back ike, but he gripped onto your dress tightly hidding his face in your neck.

"I'm so sorry about this?"

" Y/n nice to meet you sir." the mans eyes widden slightly.

"You have very good manners young lady, but I am sorry about Ike Shelia could you?"

"come on Ike let the poor girl go!" Ike lets go of your and heads to his mother, You give an awkard smile at this. as Ike is passes off to Kyle's dad.

"It was lovely meeting you Y/n," "you too sir." "oh just Gerald! anyway have fun boys!"

by now everyone was there, Kenny, stan me, Kyle. Everyone but butters. which was weird, butters were normally on time for these things.

Kyle was pacing the room while waiting for butters.

"so, what did you guys get Kyle?" I ask

"A new video game Minecraft the one he wanted and some other games."

"I got him a controller for his Xbox."

Y/n thinks about their gift they were pricier than mine they probably thought about it longer. Maybe I shouldn't give him the gist? no that would look rude now!

"what did you get him?"

"umm-"

"Where are butters? we were supposed to leave 40 minutes ago!" Kyle asks looking down at his watch.

"Well, I think we just go without him Kyle! it's getting late!" his mum says.

"Yeah, screw him let's go." Kyle says We quickly get ready to leave, when the doorbell rang.

"Oh, there he is!" Kyle goes to open the door, and none other than Cartman appears. to be honest I was not impressed.

"Happy birthday Kyle I just wanted to stop by and give you your present." cartman says Kyle took his present and I couldn't help but role my eyes at this. he obviously did something to come. it's cartman were talking about here! the whole scene I was just giving him a side eye. then butter parents came looking for him. I was shocked, and scared for my friend Butters. Where could he of gone?! I only just saw him friday!

"Dude I can't have a part while butters are missing that weird." Kyle

cartman tries to convince him otherwise almost slipping up.

"How about we go looking for him?"

"Yeah, he always by starks pound he's always over their!" stan add we all cheer and Sheila says she will drive us.

"I hope butters okay." I mutter under my breath as we get into the car

"I'm sure he's fine Y/n, w-we'll just keep. looking.

"Yeah!"

"don't worry Y/n we'll find him." the guy's words make you smile a little, you didn't hang out with this gang much normally with your cousin craig and his gang or with Wendy's. You and butters being super close thanks to your similar personality's.

You sure hope he is okay. :(

After watching the preview episode of the re-cap show, my first thought is actually a confirmation of something I believe for awhile now, and it's that in my opinion Tobin & Christen truly are in a different phase of their life now. They've changed, right in front of our eyes, they have built this whole other work reality that no longer NEEDS to be connected with the field, they are beyond. I'm not saying they're retiring tomorrow (even though I think they WILL do it very soon), I just feel they have found their dimension elsewhere. And it's deeply beautiful.

I noticed just how GOOD they are despite this being their first experience in this kind of projects. I remember Tobin's first videos for the company, about her art, and she didn't even look at the camera. Since becoming co-ceo, and maybe since stepping up after Pinoe's silent exit, she kinda found this new confidence. She joins events and promotional works by herself that before she would have attended only with Christen, or not attended at all.

Now she produces and hosts a show, and she's funny, charming, thoughtful, wonderfully loud when she laughs and freely honest when she speaks.

Even the choice of their first guest is pretty revealing. It actually tells how little we know about their lives and their relationships. That's why I usually talk about opinions and impressions, because that's all we have.

And exactly about my opinion about their new phase of their life, I think Ellis and Christen probably might have talked about things at some point. And not about her tactical choices but about her silence when Christen tried to expose Dames' toxic behaviour. It's not something you just ignore and sit together to joke, laugh and talk Football.

The interview was actually really brilliant and honest. I think Tobin took the lead because anyway she had a different relationship with Ellis but also it really seemed more her space, she has always had a complete vision of football, tactically and strategically. That's why it seemed she really talked Ellis' language. And it was deeply fascinating, curious and educative.

I'm not gonna deny that listening to Ellis actually talking about football and about her choices was truly interesting. Despite all her personal mistakes, I think she really knows her job, and she knows how to do it. I never heard Vlatko having such professional insights and I really admired him before, when I still had not realized he has no idea how to manage team and players and he doesn't really care about them either.

Ellis was pretty honest about her tactical decisions, I don't know if she would do exactly the same now, especially with Christen. But I still love how equally honest Christen was with her. The quote "I'd let you babysit my daughter but I don't think I'll play you in this game" is not really a joke and both of them know it. But it was a moment of Truth.

I think Ellis appreciated and appreciates Christen both as person and player, she made a choice, a debatable one, but still hers. And Christen faced her for it. But in the end I liked to see that she still considered her time playing for Ellis as a learning experience, it puts everything in perspective.

I always thought Christen was way much more than the sweet and zen person we often see. She did make a few interesting remarks to Ellis among the lines of jokes, she knows how to tease Tobin (probably her favourite pastime), she can be snarky and witty, and it's pretty awesome.

That's why I was in love with the blunt confrontation between Tobin & Christen. It was actually what I expected, Tobin always so free and direct, Christen so smart, witty and a little biting! The Daily Debate was just amazing but what I noticed is that every time Tobin talked, with Jill or simply telling something, she always included Christen in her moments, in her thoughts, her memories, her experiences, she looked at her, waited for her reaction.

The most technical part of the conversation was so intriguing for a football fan. I loved the Marginal Gain philosophy, it's the success in the details.

Also, about the USWNT, I think Tobin doesn't have much admiration for Vlatko, as coach and person. At one point she said something like "talking about chewing and spitting …" and she went on saying she and Christen wouldn't be at the World Cup, it says something.

-OUR FOUNDER-

⚙ THE CHAIRMAN ⚙ OF COGS INCORPORATED EST. 2003 ---------------------------------

So I've never talked about this on here before, but Toontown was one of my absolute FAVORITE games as a kid (despite never having membership so being locked out of 99% of the actual game jlkjfsakj) Like it was absolutely formative for me, I drew the cogs a bajillion times and they inspired a ton of my own stuff later on (and still absolutely do) Then the game closed and Rewritten came out so I could actually play the whole game for the first time (haven't gotten anywhere close to getting to the end though) To this day I have an on again off again interest where once or twice a year I'll suddenly get absolutely smitten with it again haha

So, if you're also into Toontown, you'll obviously be familiar with the mysterious, unseen overarching villain The Chairman This is my own take on his design that I came up with a few years back ^^

We don't have much to go off of from the original game for what the Chairman might've been like, so I had a couple of different inspirations

Obviously the giant head in the Sellbot Factory, since those old Chairman pics with that head pasted onto a cog body were absolutely what I was most exposed to as a kid, but it's also not a 1:1 lift

In some of my earliest sketches trying to come up with the ideal design I tried making him look like he had the giant robot from the old installer video underneath his suit, so he had like lanky, cartoonish proportions, toonier hands, etc It looked really bad though and I couldn't do what I wanted with the head since it would've had to fit over the shorter, wider robot head, so I just ended up scrapping it (i do take some inspiration from the video for my vision of Toontown's story, but i've just scrapped the robot entirely) Oh I also gave him the eyes from the Field Office since I thought that could be neat, but it looked out of place so I simplified them to what he has now (they're still stylistically similar to the eyes on regular cog buildings, so i don't think i'm really losing any of the meaning behind them at least)

By far the biggest inspiration was when the FY11 plans got released

Holy FUDGE did this blow my mind when I saw it for the first time All those years as a kid of the Chairman not even being ACKNOWLEDGED except by the CEO's final words and a couple odd references in obscure magazines and whatever Desperately speculating and grasping onto all those tiny pieces of some mysterious, horrifically evil entity behind everything And then this??? This awesome, ominous silhouette?? Plans for something huge??? Seeing it is what drove me to go and draw him in the first place, it still gives me chills just looking at it

So yeah, I wanted mine to have that same aura of cold evil, that striking silhouette, while also having a bit more character to him Like most cogs are frozen in the same screwed up scowl, where there's not much room for expression If I could, like, make an actual model for him, I'd want him to have the same sort of capacity for different expressions as the toons have (even some you wouldn't expect from the head of the cogs)

He's ruthless, calculating, doing everything he can to maximize the profits and efficiency of Cogs Inc and expand their operations to the entirety of Toontown, with no regard for ethical business practices or the wishes of the people he plans to subjugate (But does it work? Is he happy?)

I'm absolutely gonna do an analysis of the cogs as a whole at some point (as long as my interest doesn't plummet for a little while longer), there's a ton of stuff I wanna get into about my interpretation of them as villains because oh my god I love them so much

OTHER STUFF - He's not as massive as the other boss cogs, but he's still absolutely huge (iirc the highest level cogs are all canonically like 8ft?? and he's got a LOT of height on them) - He's drinking oil in the pencil drawing - I happened to watch this video where one guy talked about the way the villain in Tarzan held a glass of wine and how it left a huge impression on him, so I just arbitrarily decided to emulate it in my drawing XD - Oh yeah a big reason for the main drawing in the post was that I really felt like I was getting too attached to a single style in my digital stuff (literally just using the same default pen tool for everything, never changing the size), so I wanted to force myself to try something new - I drew the frame myself, just kinda winged it so it's. not as good as it could be but it works fine I think

and ooo thanks for the question, I wanna hear your thoughts after this👀 I've already said a little bit about this in the tags of some other posts, as well as touched on it in my master post of the crew, but I suppose I may give a big final answer(for now, from this teaser).

judging the art alone, not the fact that we get a new anime or anything exciting like that, just the art alone... it's very pretty!

yea this is very pretty. the kid looks great, small and good, and his hair looks feathery and neat, so I approve. I think they nailed his general proportions, I think they'll do a great job at keeping them consistent during episodes! the image to the right does looks a tiny bit like a 3d asset, which is a bit jarring compared to the previous anime style, but I'm flexible towards this change. even if he looks like a video game cutscene character, I usually love cutscenes!!

but here's the drama I'm sure you're here for. yes, unfortunately, there are some wee things that I don't love as much🤏

the first thing, it really doesn't matter and I should shut up about it now... but YOU asked so ajdjfksksk why did they have to shrink sebs jaw cmon my favorite art of him ever was during the Greenwitch arc so don't tell me I'll NEVER be able to see that style of him animated😫 I just like prominent features man. I know he's meant to be pretty but but but....

ah okay. heres the main thing that I think most people may agree with.

these are two screenies of sebster from the teaser. honestly, as ☆luxurious☆ as his lashes are, I'm not a fan of the left image. the airbrush on his hair feels a tad overdone. I love the attention to detail, especially in the one on the right, it shows a lot of love! but there's just something about it that's a bit off for me.

and I think after 24 hours I've finally figured it out: it's the colors.

the realization started to hit me when I saw my favorite edit so far here by @ashxketchum. the colors have been edited to be much more saturated and warm. and I think this is exactly what is missing here.

I even tried my own hand at it, and yea personally, I think slapping a saturation, tint, and just a BIT of contrast on the whole thing can do numbers on it.

already I like it(no I'm not just praising my own work, it's not the best edit out there I did it in 30 secs). I think the reason for this is because the background is very rich in contrast and warm tones, so the characters(particularly sebastian who is all black) stand out when they are muddy and low contrast. I love stylistically when contrast is high, but that's just a personal thing, and I shouldn't hold a studio to those standards.

I tried it for the poster too though, which again I felt was a bit off. official art has never been the most top tear, and the poster is GOOD, the background is awesome and the two peeps looks amazing. but my problem with it was clear once I did another color edit.

again, I feel like everything was very muted in the left original, not to mention a tad monochromatic. I really think a kick of contrast and hue could do wonders.

BUT. I know that at the end of the day, it's not a big deal. I don't really care. would it make my day or whole year if they slapped a color filter on it, or continued to work on the color grading of the scenes? probably yea! but my opinion isn't obsolete, and most of all, I look forward to and respect the artists decisions.

so no I'm not "fixing" the art😅😒.

Insomniac Spider-Man x Reader

I love this idea so very much !!!!, Reader would ask so many questions and peter would have so many stories to tell. Word count:912

"Finally off to Rykers huh ??" You said as you landed on top of the police van alongside peter.

"You know, I think you've got more enemies in there than I do."

"If you think this will be more than a minor inconvenience..."

"Whoop-- gotta go" Peter then swinged off.

"But hey, Good luck Willie, I have a feeling you're gonna need it." You finger-gunned him as you joined Peter and swung off.

"Idiots !!! I'm the one who kept order in this city !! One month !! In one month you'll wish you had me back !!" Fisk shouted at you both before then being transported to rykers.

Now for the backstory part of this, You and Peter Parker have been best friends since you two were in school, Both doing everything together and being there for each other. You were the first person he revealed himself as Spider-Man to, and not too long ago, you too have been bitten by a radioactive spider, You were excited and scared at the same time. But Peter was with you every step of the way. You two were now a crime-fighting duo, you did try to opt for 'The Spider-Pals' But that motion was shut down. But anyway off track, Fisk was your first supervillain and you couldn't be any happier.

"Peter did you see that ??!!" You said excitedly as you caught up to him.

"I did, I'm so proud of you dude !!" He smiled brightly under his mask.

"YAHOOOOOOOOO !!!!" You pulled off an air trick before stabilising yourself.

Peter has never seen you this happy and excited before, it was practically infectious.

"YEEEEEHAWWWW !!!" He barrel rolled, joining you on your excitment.

"I can't believe I did it, My first super villain."

"And there'll be plenty more to come, don't worry buddy"

"Say, I always wanted to ask, What was the first super villain you ever fought ??"

"That is an excellent question y/n, one I will happily answer over pizza"

He then rang tony's and got the usual rooftop delivery.

"Oh that looks so good"

"I love you, But now I must destroy you" Peter then scoffed the first slice down.

As you two ate the pizza, Peter told you about the very first villain he ever fought as Spider-Man.

"So, back when I first started high school, vulture decided to pay a little visit, you see his old research partner, Greg Bestman taught at ESU. Vulture tried to take Bestman out, I tried to stop him"

He even did some of Vulture's voices but ended up coughing shortly after.

"Sorry, that's my best vulture" *ahem*

"Anyway, continue" You bit into your pizza as you listened into the story.

"I'll tell you what y/n, That fight was hard, Then, just as I thought I might actually win. Vulture's evil twin brother showed up to help him !!"

"What... I don't remember him having an evil twin" You giggled.

"Yeah... No, he actually rope-a-doped me. I was exhausted, and He was barely winded, but man it felt like two vultures"

"Wow... This fight really was tough"

As he continued on with his story of the vulture and his "Evil twin brother" You two shared laughs, oh how he knew how to make you smile.

"That fight taught me I'd always be a kid from queens at heart, But I could carry that strength anywhere, To Manhattan, to the West Coast. Heck, even to Symkaria. Weird to think, But I owe it all to an old man in a bird costume, I should really write him a thank you note, but anyway. That my dear y/n, was the story of my first supervillain" He smiled and puffed his chest out proudly.

"Woah... That's so damn awesome !!!" you really were mesmerised by how well the story was and how wise peter was too.

"Have you also ever thought of voice acting, you could be pretty good in a video game" You playfully punched him.

"Unless they make a full-fledged version of Speed Nonagon, I won't by lending my talented voice anytime soon"

You giggled again and looked out over into the city.

"I really wouldn't be here today without you Pete, You helped me through so much even before I became like you" You smiled at him.

"We're a little team y/n, Spider or no spider. Heck you saved my bacon many times I could count from my run-ins with flash"

"He was such a jerk, But yet again like you said about vulture, I guess without flash we wouldn't have met."

"You know... That is kinda true actually" He smiled

"Maybe I should write him a thank you note... Nah I think he gets the memo" You chuckled.

"Your probably right buddy, I wouldn't have this any other way though, Your my best friend through and through" Peter smiled and raised his fist for a fist bump. "Don't leave me hanging"

"Well..." You toyed with him

"Not on my watch y/n, come ooooonnnnnn"

And you gladly fist bumped him, both giggling.

"Your too much man" You smirked as you watched the city go by until peter's phone rang.

"It's Captain Watanabe, she needs to see us" He then got up and put his mask back on. "You ready Spider-pal ??"

"I'm ready Spider-Pal" you patted his back and the two of you swinging to the chinatown police station.

Oh you two would have so many adventures together, so so many.

Leo! Prime time boy😎!

It's been a crazy day. Meat sweats had kidnapped ya, a bomb was planted on the tank, and your PHONE was destroyed. By the time you guys got back to the lair, it was nearly seven. You were DEAD tired. After shooting your mom a text, (Using Donnie's phone) you laid your face on one of the arcade games. You nearly fell asleep, when you felt someone poking your sides. "Y/N~!" Of course it was Leo tickling you. You grumbled and swatted his hands away. Once again you tried to fall asleep.

But this time, you JOLTED up. Cause a certain somebody JAMMED his fingers in your armpits. " Ah! " He burst out laughing. Man, you just wanted a few minutes of peace! " Okay, okay, I'm sorry, " He said, hoping you'd drop the death glare. " But c'mon, let's play a game or something. " You rubbed your eyes. " Why? " You were crazy tired. Sure a few minutes would barely take the edge off, but it would still be awesome. " Well I mean, If I spent the day in danger, I'd vibe afterwards. " You sighed and stared at him. Leo poked your cheek. " I'll leave you alone if play a round of zombie unicorn with me~. "

He (basically) sang. Guess it wouldn't be so bad. Spending time with Leo was one of favorite things to do. " Okay, " You said. " Let's go poof some unicorns. " He snickered. " Oh yeah! " He said, grabbing your hand. For the next thirty minutes, the two of you played ALL the games. Nothing like video games to wake you up. After beating Leo (and Donnie.) at "Luigi" cart again, D's phone buzzed. " M/N's here. " He said, in the background. You looked back. " She's parked at April's place, again. " You stood up. " Can I have this walk, fair maiden? " Leo chimed in. You snickered " Why of course, kind sir. "

After a fun roof walk, you two were on April's fire escape. (Probably should've called first) " And remember, " Leo said. " If your mom asks about the scratches, tell her Mayhem got to you. " You chuckled. Yeah right. She would totally freak if she thought Mayhem touched you. " Sure, bud. " You said. You gave a wave and started down the stairs. "Wait, wait," Leo said, grabbing onto your hoodie. " Hug fee. " Of course, he never lets you forget that.

As you both embraced, you started to get lost in your thoughts. You were sleepier than a PANDA earlier, but your bff turned things around. Made all worries fly away. Like he always does. " Clingy today, aren't we? " That snapped you out of it. You pulled away giving a quiet "sorry". " It's fine! " Leo leaned on his sword. " I'm irresistible, y'know. " Instead of laughing at his gloating, you took a deep breath. And... kissed him. It was...nice and quick. When you pulled away, Leo gasped. He looked... mesmerised. Or like entranced. Honestly, he looked frickin adorable like that.

Finally realizing what you just did, you covered your mouth. " Um, " You started. Ahhh, you messed up. You were gonna apologize (or run away) when Leo pulled you in by the waist. Your lips clashed with his. He was smooching you! Really passionately. You didn't mind, but boy were you surprised. After four more kisses, he pulls away. (This boy needed a AIR break) He cleared his throat.

" Sorry. " He had NOTHING to apologize for. " Um, " You tapped your nail on his plastron, wondering what to say next. " Talk about it tomorrow? " You tried. "Talk about it tomorrow." Leo let go of your waist, and you guys awkwardly said bye to one another. You pretty shocked that you RANDOMLY kissed him. But at the same time, Leo ALWAYS acted like your boyfriend. Guess you guys were finally putting things in motion. Nice.
