i personally think the lightsaber maul got from mother talzin after his restoration shouldn't have been an ass pull replica of his old one. like where did she even get that from.
it would have been SO much cooler if he'd clung on to obi-wan's first lightsaber after both he and it fell down that reactor shaft on naboo. the symbolism of it all would be so tasty. he kept that thing for years, he turned it red and corrupted it but it still very much carries a part of obi-wan around. maul claims he left him for dead and his lightsaber echoes that sentiment. and imagine if he kept that thing until obi-wan kills him on tatooine so many decades later. bro i wouldn't have recovered

honestly being a selfshipper and finding irl items that remind you of your f/o is just the purest thing....
find a t-shirt that looks like your f/o's? perfect, wear it when you feel down and revel in the feeling that you're wearing their shirt.
find a book you think they'd like? get it, read it, think about how overjoyed they'd be to know they got you into something they find interesting! how happy they'd be to share that with you!
find a perfume that reminds you of them? for the love of everything holy. get it and cherish it.
every trinket, every shirt, every little nick-nack that reminds you of them. that's them loving you through the little things!!!

one of my favourite things about season 2 is 'you wear fine things well' 2.0. like that phrase means so much to us, the super sexy audience, so knowing that it means a lot to Ed AND Stede as well?? oh my god. it means enough to the both of them that when Ed says it, Stede immediately knows what he's getting at. like sure he's saying 'you wear fine things well' with his big baby cow eyes and his little kitty cat collar but what he means is, 'this was the moment i fell in love with you. and now i'm saying it back.' and they put that in the tv show that we, the super sexy audience, watched. fucking cinema.

More sketches from @moorishflower‘s Wine-Dark Sea series
My mind is full of bio-luminescent cuttlefish displays, retractable teeth, gills gills gills, that one scene from The Sea Beast. The brain is very loud and it’s having lots of thoughts.

The problem with amatanormativity is that even though it's RAMPANT in Fandom spaces, none of you know enough to even be able to recognize it, much less address it at all.

Hey do you guys remember when it was October 5th and we still didn't know how the reunion was gonna shake out. And then we saw Ed in such a dark place and feeling so awful about himself and so convinced he was unloveable but he saw Stede appear to him as a sweet little goldfish mermaid and gave him the strength to wake up? Proving to him that someone really was waiting for him and helping him believe that he had reasons to keep living? And then they held hands so so tight?

honestly, the way I see it, comic books are like greek mythology. all the stories are true and also none of them are. that character would NEVER do that except in that issue that they did. AND, in that vein, the stories are told and retold in different ways throughout the ages by different people. comic book "canon" is so laughable bc you feasibly argue that character X is the height of morality while on the other hand, in other works, a smarmy author wrote them as a gross asshole. so what is true? whatever needs to be true for the story you're trying to tell. whats not true? whatever you didn't like about them.

There really does come a point when you've been aromantic long enough that you no longer wish you weren't. You will learn to navigate amatanormative society, and you'll carve a little piece out of it where you can be happy. The happiness you find might look different than the average alloro person's, but that's okay. It won't be theirs, it'll be yours. And it's worth the struggle and uncertainty getting there. I promise 🌱🌻
