I was feeling brave, so here we are!
I do want to be clear on one thing though: I am not here to bash any books or any readers. I think everyone should read what they want, love what they love, and not be made to feel bad about that. Reading is subjective – and there are absolutely books out there for everyone.✌️

“I love you,” he says. Love. The word isn’t enough, but it doesn’t matter. We’ll find other words, other handshakes, other ways to express what this really is. But for now, I settle for, “I love you too.”

15 Golden Retriever/Black Cat Energy Romance Books
Grumpy heroes are my jam most of the time, but sometimes I’m in the mood for opposites attract romance done a little differently – and that’s where golden retriever meets black cat energy kicks in. One of my favorite rom com movies growing up was 10 Things I Hate About You, and it’s got the same energy as this newish romance trope. It’s not quite grumpy/sunshine (or reverse grumpy/sunshine, which…

The Fiction Between Us
By Julie Olivia
Finished: 7.16.2023
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I blew through this book like a woman possessed.
Once again, Julie Olivia gives us a lovely romance set in the charming Honeywood Fun Park. I’m a sucker for fake dating, so I knew I was going to love this one.
Landon, the embodiment of a golden retriever, and Quinn, an actual black cat, creates such a nice dynamic. This one is a SLOW burn fr. I think I read it so fast because I couldn’t wait to see how they get together.
Once again, I’m pumped to read the next book!

ARC REVIEW: OUT WITH THE TIDE BY JULIE OLIVIA
⭐⭐⭐⭐
TROPES
Forced Proximity
Roommates to Lovers
One Bed
Slow Burn
The optimism of both Marina and Cassidy is contagious, and it’s exactly how I felt reading their story. Just, never-ending optimism that things would work out for them. That positivity is reflected in almost everything they do, which was a fun change from how Jasper is in the first book of the series.
There was something soothing about just being along for the ride with Cassidy and Marina. Watching Cassidy go about his life and Marina try to figure out her next step was comfortable and nice to read. I never felt like something bad was going to happen, though I figured there would be a hang-up at some point.
Everything about Cassidy screams his love language being some combination of gifts and acts of service, and his little quirk of how he keeps track of everyone’s favorite things is great. It’s nice to see him gain confidence in how own abilities by the end and have something to call his own. On the other side of the coin, it’s great to see Marina realize you don’t have to be like your parents, even when that seems like the easy way out.
Thank you to the author and Pen Pal PR for the chance to read an eARC!
📘 Out with the Tide is out March 28 and will be available to read on KU! You can read the first book, Off the Hook, on KU now.

love you with the lights on (lando/oscar, 28k, complete)
“I texted him,” Lando says. “He can’t have forgotten about me, I texted him, and he never texted back.” Max shrugs. “Maybe he didn’t know what to say. After all, how do you tell your fuck buddy that you’ve accidentally gone out and acquired a baby?”

Sharing my first book and fave book by some of my go-to authors!
I will be honest: for Ali Hazelwood, my fave by her really depends on the day – when I woke up this morning I nearly swapped Love, Theoretically out with Check & Mate.💁‍♀️

15 Awesome Indie Romance Books
I love indie romance! Some of the best romance books I’ve read have been indie romances, and you never know when you’re reading the next big thing. These books are often the trendsetters, steering the book market in the direction readers are seeking. They have quicker turnaround times, take more risks, and often have an extremely bingeable quality – maybe that’s why so many are getting picked up…

Our Ride to Forever

Julie Olivia you’re insane
Going into this book, I’m going to be honest, Theo and Orson were the couple that interested me the least. By the end? I think they’re close to being my favorite ( I’m so sorry Lorelei and Emory). The chemistry that Julie was able to give them is crazy. I don’t think I’ve read a book where the main couple meshes so we’ll together. You can tell they both care so deeply for one another even if they don’t want to admit it to themselves.
I see a lot of myself in Theo and her experience with living up to the high expectations that she puts on herself due to her family. Also I heavily relate to Orson’s tendency to give too much of himself away. Julie Olivia is so great at making characters that feel real. I think that’s what is so charming about this series.
PHEWWW the spice in this one is immaculate. Definitely the book with the most in this series so far.
I’m also learning through this series is that I’m a big fat sucker for the “he falls first trope”, so thanks for that lol.
God I don’t want this series to be over :(( I’ve only got the last one to go. But oh my god Ruby and Bennett’s story is about to go crazy I think. So still excited even if I’m sad about the end.
