Callout post for @a-kind-of-merry-war and the Mills & Boon marketing team for trying to make me choose between Raff and Penn in Emma/Merry's debut novel, One Night in Hartswood, a queer medieval romance, when my ADHD, bisexual ass has never committed to making a decision in my life, and I'm sure as shit not about to start now because I love them both, your honor.

I love them both so much.

More coherent words to follow when I've actually sat down and processed this because I'm currently in that stage when you've just finished a book, and you don't know what to do with your life anymore.

This was so much fun. Really gorgeous prose. Reads like comfort fanfic even while you're screaming at the pages. I am absolutely going to order myself a hardcover copy from the UK, as us plebians in the US don't seem to be getting one. (Yet.) UK release date Jan 19th, 20223. The US release seems to be in November (according to Amazon, at least). All the pre-order links are up above, along with some more info and tropes, but I'll link them again here.

I am going to lie down. Maybe scream into my pillow for a bit.

The book releases in 22 September 2024 and I would preferably like you to leave a review before then but it's fine if you leave it after. More details in the form but I won't be sending it out until July at the earliest.

I posted a bit more about opening up commissions here if anyone’s interested, but this is the main post.

Commissions are currently OPEN.

FAQs

If I want a commission, how do I get it?

You can reach out to me via DM and we’ll go from there. Payment’s will be done through Kofi, and will be upfront unless there are specific circumstances.

What information should I send for my commission?

There’s two options. You can send me anything that you’d like to see in the commission, pictures, prompts, gifs, memes, etc. (I typically don’t do fanfic simply because I’m not involved in very many, but there’s no harm in asking.) I’ll clarify anything missing before moving forward to make sure we’re on the same page...

OR

You could just say “surprise me” and I’ll take a look through your blog and write based on what I find.

The only thing’s I’ll need to know for sure is any triggers or topics you’d like for me to steer clear of, and if you would want it to be NSFWhump or not. (The assumption will be no NSFWhump.)

How much does it cost?

For each 500 words, it’ll be 5 dollars (or equivalent, I’m not 100 percent on how Ko-Fi does things.) Depending on the content and the total number of words, there might be limits to how long a story can be, but that again will be on a case-by-case basis that I doubt will be needed. Kofi link here.

When will I get my commission and how?

Depending on the length and content, within 5-10 days maximum. If otherwise, I will let you know before placing the commission.

I will either send you the commission as a file through DM, or if you’d like for it to be posted and tagged, that’s also an option.

If you would like a printed and handbound copy, well...let me know.

What if I want something else?

Editing and ARC reviews are all on a case-by-case basis.

Beta reading is available, timeframe and pricing on a case by case basis.

What if I have other questions?

Feel free to send me a DM or an ask (my anon is always on so no worries) and I’ll update this post as needed.

Honestly, This book was amazing 🥹

I’ve been in such a bad reading slump recently, And these books always get me out!! Honestly, I really enjoyed and the way Tracy conveys emotion and trauma makes me really happy ❤️ It’s so respectful and thought out, unlike many other authors. Honestly, I definitely reccomend this book series!

I will comment that the spice in this one is more frequent and in depth than the others (It is in no way closed door!!!!!!) But if you don’t mind that then that’s good :)
