the yarn i'm using isn't a true ombre, it's a gradient palette of solids, so i'm cheating a little bit and using row-by-row leapfrogging to get the transitional effect. this works out great, actually, even though strand management is a bit of a bear, because i had to get a second skein pack to make up the yardage and even the most meticulous hand-dye is going to take differently skein to skein - by leapfrogging like that even on the solid sections, i can equalize any tonal differences between the skeinpack AND maintain the row pattern for the transition stripes at the same time!

the castle of otranto skein pack i'm using was created by teatime fibers (also on ravelry!), and i am SO jazzed to be working with it, this yarn is DELICIOUS to handle. the skein pack itself was a little pricey, but you know what, it's dracula season and i deserve a little treat ;3c

I am non-binary, autistic and queer and I am mixed race (British and Indian). My favourite colour is green and I love butterflies (there are so many butterfly themed things dotted around my room, it's getting out of hand). I write poetry, fanfic and have been working on a book for years (though I've yet to get anywhere decent with it thus far) and play DnD in my spare time!
