Background

Amadeus Cho is the son of South Korean immigrants who relocated to Tucson, Arizona.  A remarkably gifted polymath genius, Amadeus’ intellect was evident from a very early age. As a young adolescent, Amadeus entered into the quiz show named Brain Fight, easily winning the competition and being dubbed the title of ‘Mastermind Excello’ and the position of ‘7th Smartest Man in the World.’

Unbeknownst to those involved, the quiz show as actually part of a scheme orchestrated by the villainous former child prodigy, Pythagoras Dupree. Dupree’s aim was to search the world for other people whose intellect might rival his own and to eliminate them as unwanted rivals. Looking to kill Amadeus, Dupree’s agents set a bomb that destroyed the Cho’s home and killed Amadeus’ parents.  

Fearing for his life, Amadeus went into hiding. Sometime thereafter, Amadeus helped The Hulk in a crisis where he was assailed by a strange new type of Gamma radiation that threatened to overwhelm him. Using a swarm of nano-biotic drones, Amadeus absorbed the excess Gamma Radiation.  Amadeus ended up taking in this excess radiation, causing him to transform into a slightly smaller albeit still incredibly powerful version of The Hulk.

Amadeus has additionally served as a member of the new Agents of Atlas.  During this time, Amadeus changed his super hero alias to ‘Brawn.’ He now resides at Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters where he reunited with his sister, Madame Curie Cho.

Amadeus Cho is the son of South Korean immigrants who relocated to Tucson, Arizona.  A remarkably gifted polymath genius, Amadeus’ intellect was evident from a very early age.  As a young adolescent, Amadeus entered into the quiz show named Brain Fight, easily winning the competition and being dubbed the title of ‘Mastermind Excello' and the position of ‘7th Smartest Man in the World.’  

Unbeknownst to those involved, the quiz show as actually part of a scheme orchestrated by the villainous former child prodigy, Pythagoras Dupree.   Dupree’s aim was to search the world for other people whose intellect might rival his own and to eliminate them as unwanted rivals.

Looking to kill Amadeus, Dupree’s agents set a bomb that destroyed the Cho’s home and killed Amadeus’ parents.  Fearing for his life, Amadeus went into hiding, hitting the road with his coyote pup companion, Kirby.   Dupree’s agents continued to track Amadeus down and may have succeeded in killing him had it not been for the intervention of The Incredible Hulk.  Amadeus continued on as an ally and sidekick to the Hulk until The illuminati initiated a scheme that sent the Hulk off world.

Sometime thereafter, the disaster in Stamford led to the Super Human Registration Act.  With Amadeus’ near-inhuman intellect, he was dubbed a superhuman and tracked down for registration.  Philosophically opposed to the registration act and fearful that his own registration would make it easier for Dupree to find him, Amadeus chose to oppose the act and joined the resistance forces during the first Superhero Civil War.  

Following the Civil War event, Amadeus became an ally of Hercules and the two embarked on numerous adventures together.  During this time, Amadeus endured his final confrontation with Pythagoras Dupree.  Dupree set up a deadly battle of wits entailing a complicated version of Russian Roulette.   Amadeus proved himself the more clever of the two and Dupree perished, accidentally shooting himself in the head.  

Later, Amadeus was recruited into Hank Pym’s iteration of The Mighty Avengers yet ultimately left the squad following The Siege Event and the beginning of the New Heroic Age.  Sometime thereafter, Amadeus reunited with The Hulk and helped him in a crisis where the hero was assailed by a strange new type of Gamma radiation that threatened to overwhelm him.  

Using a swarm of nano-biotic drones, Amadeus absorbed the excess Gamma Radiation.  Amadeus ended up taking in this excess radiation, causing him to transform into a slightly smaller albeit still incredibly powerful version of The Hulk.  Similar to Jennifer Walters, The She-Hulk, Amadeus was able to assume the hulk-form whilst maintaining his regular intellect and cognitive functioning (although he did find that the excess gamma-infused testosterone frequently caused him to become aggressive, egotistical and insensitive to the feelings of others).  

Now going by the moniker of ‘The Totally Awesome Hulk,’ Amadeus helped to form the new, teen-oriented version of The Champions.  Along with his participation with The Champions, Amadeus has additionally served as a member of the new Agents of Atlas.  During this time, Amadeus changed his super hero alias to ‘Brawn.’

Amadeus has worked on better coping with the negative ways in which his hulk-form affects his personality and has continued on as a member of both The Champions and the Agents of Atlas  The young hero first appeared in the pages of Amazing Fantasy Vol. 2 #15 (2005).

So, since you're an Amadeus Cho guy...

When he was starting outhe was calling himself Mastermind Excello, which is the name of an obscure Golden Age hero.

Shortly after Amadeus debuted, a miniseries came out called The Twelve in which a bunch of obscure Golden Age heroes were resurrected, including the original Mastermind Excello.

Despite a panel from The Twelve being used in a recap page of Incredible Hercules at least once, to my knowledge the two never met.

Is my knowledge correct?

yeah they never met. amadeus really didnt even use the name it was more to connect him to an older hero so he wasnt quite so new. I feel like all things consided i wouldnt even count it as one of Amadeus's official codenames because as far as I can remember he doesnt ever use it as a codename it only refers to the soap company that crowned him 7th smartest in the world. while prince of power I feel like at least he had some legacy to that. mastermind excello was kinda random
