Indirah: Sorry for the wait, Aunt Bee. The traffic was quite bad.

Belle: It’s alright. You’re here now. Niamh, you remember Dira, right?

Niamh: Of course~ It’s nice to see you again.

Indirah: Same here.

Niamh: Oh, this is my nephew, Dom. Dom, this is Dira. You went to her brother’s wedding a few years ago with Saoirse and me, remember?

Indirah: Nice to see you here. I didn’t know you were related to Auntie Niamh.

Niamh: Oh? You know each other?

Indirah: I’ve met him several times. He lost his wallet the first time we met and he also got lost in our Campus.

Domhnall: *chuckles* That’s me. Sorry I didn’t recognize you sooner. You look different without all that tiara and stuff.

Indirah: *scoffs* Is that so? Do I really look that different?

Domhnall: Well, if I’m being honest, you look prettier without them.

Belle: Dira, dear, why don’t you take Dom to Ginny and Rainier over there? He arrived a few minutes before you and hasn’t greeted them yet. Maybe you both can greet our couple together?

Indirah: Yeah, sure.

Domhnall: What are you doing?

Niamh: Nothing~ Just go with her. You’ll thank us later.

Domhnall: Aunt—

Indirah: Dom? Are you coming?

Domhnall: Yeah, give me a sec!

Sofia: So Ginny told me that you guys are trying for a baby now. How’s it going?

Alfie: We’re still working on it.

Darien: Have you decided how many kids you want?

Alfie: We haven’t talked about it yet.

Sofia: Well, you should. Don’t go in blind. Being a parent is not like playing house.

Catalina: We’ll talk about it soon. I’m sure we’ll figure out how many we want.

Darien: You better stick to the plan or else you’re gonna end up like your Uncle Em here.

Emery: Hey! Don’t be mean. Belle and I planned to have a big family. We love the chaos.

Sofia: Mhm. Sure you do.

*Darien & Emery laughs in the background*

Catalina: Alfie?

Alfie: Hm?

Catalina: We never talked about how many kids we want.

Alfie: Mhm. I thought I’d let you decide that. You’re the one who’s gonna push them out.

Catalina: I know that. But what if I told you I only want one baby? What are you gonna do then?

Alfie: Then one child is what we’ll get.

Catalina: *clicks tongue* Alfie! Is this not important to you?

Alfie: Of course it’s important to me.

Catalina: Then why aren’t you telling me what you want? If this is important to you, we would’ve had this conversation before we got married.

Alfie: It just never crossed my mind.

Catalina: Oh, so you’re saying you never thought about having kids with me before?

Alfie: Don’t twist my words. Of course I’ve always thought about having kids with you. I just never gave it a serious thought.

Catalina: *huffs* Fine then. Since you say it like that, then I guess we’ll only have one.

Alfie: *sighs*

Alfie: Three kids, max.

Catalina: Just three?

Alfie: *snorts* What? You want more?

Catalina: *scoffs* Three is fine. Not too much. We both have three siblings too and our parents can handle that. It won’t be too hard.

Alfie: Eh~ We’ll see. If our kids take after me, they’re going to be a handful. I was a naughty kid, y’know.

Catalina: I know. Nothing I can’t handle. If I can handle their dad, I’m sure I can handle them too.

Alfie: We can handle them. You and me.

Catalina: Yes. We.

It’s strange looking back and remembering the first signs that “butch/femme” was going to be important to me. It preceded everything else to do with my sexuality.

There is a journal on which I wrote “this belongs to Niamh age 9 3/4” in large, childish handwriting with blue glittery gel pen. I would find pictures of tomboys, butches, masculine presenting women, anyone on that spectrum on my parents computer and print them off, then meticulously delete the search history and then cut those pictures out and paste them in my book.

I drew glittery hearts in the margins, and tiaras, and birds. I deadass wrote “mrs. Niamh Threadgoode” in the back, over and over, because I seen Fried Green Tomatoes and was obsessed with Idgie Threadgoode, the butch lesbian character in that movie. She was my first imaginary friend, and crush.

When I think back and try and feel and think as I did then, and try and figure out what it was about butches that was so important to me, I think the first word that comes to mind is freedom. Butches seemed magical to me; they represented the possibility of a life outside of the norm, and were so apparently radical, and queer, discursive to me then as a child that they morphed into my personal heroes.

It wasn’t specifically a freedom I wanted for myself- even then, I was obsessed with anything pink, sparkly and fairy-like. I just wanted to be near it, I think. Getting into my teenage years with the addition of growing up and hormones and all of that, that just kind of naturally evolved into my sexuality.

So when anyone ever asks me “were you always a femme?” I want to say, Yeah, I think I was. I didn’t have the language or the sexuality part of it then, but the signs were there.

immediately travel’s to king’s landing with rhaegar where she gets thrown into wedding planning. overwhelmed, she leans on those she writes letters to: jeyne, amelira, aenysa, narcissa, lyarra and roslyn. they are all her strength in the chaos, and she attempts to get closer to the rest of those in house targaryen during this time as well. eventually she convinces everyone to allow a small wedding in dragonstone of friends and family (sadly minus those of house forrester). she does not, however, get out of the large puffy dress or the tiara. they are married within two months of leaving highgarden, and spend the remaining month as husband and wife annoying every person in dragonstone (kick everyone out too). she is not adjusted at all to being a princess and so far only doesn’t mind when her husband calls her it.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐇

immediately takes his wife to the vale, showing her their new home and allowing niamh to throw them a wedding celebration alongside the rest of house arryn. he spends quite a lot of time fussing over narcissa, her bump growing by the day. after the festivities die down, they travel to his clan’s land and have a celebration there to truly bind them as husband and wife in the clan way. they don’t stay long, tharon never stays away from the eyrie for long. they do leave once more to attend the wedding of narcissa’s friend reila in dragonstone. basically spends the entire break fawning over his wife and waiting on her hand and foot.

𝐙𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐉𝐎𝐘

rather than return to pyke, zara takes her aunt saga’s fleet that is now her’s and begins to sail the coasts of dorne. she brings along her lifelong best friend asha, and the two get up to absolutely no good. they travel across most of the kingdom before going to dragonstone to see her uncle wed with the rest of her family. soon after the wedding they are off again to dorne, quickly finding themselves in sunspear well before the festivities and guests arrive.

𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋

travels home to sunspear for a large memorial in honor of the recently fallen ruling princess sita. he’s had time to mourn her loss, news had spread across the kingdom the moment it occurred. oberyn still holds out on finding those responsible , a promise he makes to his people as well. it doesn’t take long for news of a new wife to spread, and he immediately dives into wedding planning as best he can. truly he stands aside and lets his future wife, mother, and olene take control. oberyn does is best to keep the ladies in his life calm and happy under the stress of wedding planning, but mostly does this through gifts. vevienne gets the brunt of it, her wardrobe and tiara collection more than doubling in a mere three months.

𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐍

travels to king’s landing and attempts to pass a new law that will radically change the way things are done within the south. he also pleas his case to have his daughter, pim, legitimized. selina agrees, and he travels to storm’s end where they are to give the news. throughout this time he’s been sending ravens to the new lady tyrell, still intent on getting to the truth about the child he’s certain they share. it’s unsuccessful, but lys is persistent.

𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐓𝐘𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐋

right before everyone leaves highgarden vareena and mazhar come to an agreement on the future of their daughter elif. they plan to coparent, but soon the realization that the distance between cerwyn and storm’s end dawns on the rose. after a discussion with mateo, they agree to end their betrothal for the sake of elif. instead of traveling north with her future husband, vareena brings elif to storm’s end to bond with her father. while there she grows a friendship in myranda, but is still sore over the broken betrothal even if it was on good terms. you’d never know, the tyrell hides herself very well.

𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐍𝐄

travels to starfall initially, then to sunspear to be with her sister. wedding planning is Not her thing, but she tries. mostly watches her niece and nephew and tries to stay out of the way. at some point a blonde lannister visits and drives her up the wall, likely ends up with a stab wound or two and aids her in causing headaches for those of sunspear.

𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐓𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘

dashes off to dorne the second she is able to. she’s invited her sister aravis for some fun. visits different houses for brief periods of time but doesn’t stay in a single place for long. eventually runs into the traveling party of asha and zara, and ends up starting a fun little dalliance through dorne with the blacktyde. she ends up in sunspear as word of the wedding arrives, and decides to stay.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐓𝐎𝐍

remains at edric’s side as his personal guard. visits gulltown for the first time, grumpily walks on beaches and goes into town for pastries with ros when edric needs her distracted. at some point he ends up spilling his guts to his brother eyron as they bond more. he admits his attraction to the princess is deeper but hasn’t said that four letter word he’s so terrified of. he doesn’t see her really in the three months either. leaves the north once to accompany edric and roslyn to the wedding of reila and rhaegar in dragonstone. his entire break is spent ensuring the safety of the prince, celebrating the growth of the other’s love, and getting close to his brother.

She can be quite proud and sometimes her sense of duty and decorum get the better of her

The only one who could talk her out of her duties is Laurent (@slytherindisaster )

Every time she's feeling lost, she reads Renaissance poetry made by women and even composes her own poetry to vent

She's Ravenclaw's fashion icon and everytime she has the occasion of getting rid of her robes, the latest fashion worn by the Princess of Wales, she wears it, let it be jewelry or clothes or even tiaras. Gwen (@thatravenpuffwitch ) always asks her if she has an spare dress

She's a gifted dancer and can perform many dances, and ballet is her comfort dance, which she creates her own dances to vent or manage her anger and frustration. This was done often during her engagement to William (@unfortunate-arrow )

Her godfather is an early and her godmother is her grandmother Demelza Gray.

She was born a few days after the old Viscount Somerset died, thus making her the Lady of Winbourne.

She has a rigurous bath and skincare routine; it takes her an hour and half to bathe and another hour of her post-bath ritual. She has five hair products, two different gels and two boxes of skimcare routine and a special brush for when she has an event, that she swears makes her hair shinier and cleaner. Shiv (@kc-and-co ) often teases her about it, but she has learned to dismiss her teasing.

She also is often gifted perfumes and has quite the collection that Niamh, Gwen, Nadia (@gcldensnitch ) occasions Mira (@cursebreakerfarrier ) borrow or steal.

On Thursdays she tutors William (@beloved-bucky ) on History of Magic and Arithmancy and they stay up till past bedtime because homeboy needs help

Every year, she reads 10 books

Amalie sat next to the vanity, watching the maid style her sister's hair. She had seen Mister Shelby, accompanied by his brother and Johnny Dogs, a friend of the family, and could already find the truth in the rumors spread about him. His eyes as cold and deep as the Atlantic in Winter and not even his smile could give them warmth. "Are you excited for the ball? Mother went all out, even a few cousins from Austria came to attend, móraí can't wait to meet the Shelbys."

"Do I really have to go? You know I hate balls and dancing." Saoirse whined, grunting as Doris pulled a curl too hard before she answered instead of the sister.

"Your mother wants you to meet your husband, miss, it won't do you good if you don't attend. Besides, I heard Mister Shelby is very handsome."

Snorting, the youngest of three heavily leaned her head on her hand, not sure what to think about all that swooning the two women were doing. "If you like him so much, why don't you marry him, Doris. I bet he wouldn't mind as long as he's had someone to warm his bed and take care of things he doesn't want to do."

"Now don't be that way, little sister." Amalie admonished, taking the pearl necklace their grandmother had given to Saoirse on her eighteenth birthday. "Who said anything about you warming his bed? That's what mistresses are for."

The comment was supposed to be in jest, yet it stirred doubt in the youngest daughter's heart. What if her husband would take another to bed? She despised the fact that she'd have to marry Mister Shelby, but she'd hate it even more would he take a mistress. Nothing was a worse fate in her mind than to shrivel away in a loveless marriage where both partners would do no more than sit across from each other and never utter a word.

"I do hope you were only joking, my dear." their mother's voice sounded sternly from the door to Saoirse's room. Her blonde tresses were swept back into soft finger waves framing her face and the small tiara their father gifted her, pinned to the top of her head. "The guests are waiting and you still aren't dressed for the ball."

Sighing, Helene motioned for Doris to fetch Saoirse's dress, while the lady of the house finished her hair and laid the pearl necklace around her neck. "Everything will be going smoothly and you'll see, you'll have something in common by the end of the night."

"What? That we both are forced to marry each other?" The youngest daughter turned to face her mother, feeling the anger rise again underneath her skin.

"You know your father and I are only looking out for you." Helene tried to reason with her daughter, her delicate hands tightly holding onto her shoulders. "I want you to be safe and if I have to marry you off to a man who can ensure that, then I will."

Clasping her own hand around her mother's, Saoirse let out a soft sigh. "I know, I'm sorry. The thought of having to live with a man I don't know and who doesn't know me made me anxious, I didn't want to upset you, mother."

Their eyes met in the mirror and even Amalie smiled at her mother and sister. Helene leaned down and laid a soft kiss on Saoirse's rose colored cheek. "You'll always have a home here, you know that. If Mister Shelby dares to only once lay a hand on you, I will have Johnny bring you back here and he will wish to have never been born."

"Thank you, mother." the youngest of three squeezed the hand on her shoulder, giving it a light kiss on the slightly wrinkled yet still soft skin.

"You're welcome, luv, but now get dressed before the guests think you ran away." Winking at her two daughters, the lady of the house left the room.

Amalie grinned at her sister, leaning back on her seat next to the vanity. "Well, I do hope that Mister Shelby will behave, it would be a shame to see his handsome face get scarred."

"I wouldn't know." Saoirse shrugged with a smile playing on her lips as she changed into her dress, the red silk and taffeta fabrics only slightly framing her body, keeping most of her curves hidden but giving the eye enough to be interested. "I haven't looked at the picture mother gave me. I didn't want to know the man that might ruin my life and freedom."

With a shake of her head, the oldest of three stood from her seat and helped her sister with the buttons on the back of her dress while Doris busied herself with taking the shift from the chair and cleaning up the slight mess around the room. “Well, little sister, you’re definitely missing out.”

"Miss, may I present the Shelby family from Birmingham." the butler told Saoirse, giving her a little bow as she saw the two men staring at her, no smile on their lips. Just their hard, cold eyes, as blue as the stormy Atlantic sea.

Snorting, Saoirse sent her a grin and they left her room with their arms linked, their heels clicking on the marble floor as they made their way to the ballroom of the estate.

Swallowing the lump that had formed in her throat, she moved forward with her hand held out in greeting, all the while feeling the scrutinizing gaze of the older woman behind them on herself. "Mister Shelby, it is a pleasure to meet you. I do hope that I will fit your expectations, considering we are to be we'd in a few weeks from now."

Snorting sounded from beside her and Saoirse wasn't sure if she had said something false. The Shelby brother in front of her gaped at her, mouth opening and closing, like a fish out of water and his eyes wide eyed and filled with uncertainty. "I do not believe this is a laughing matter, Mister Shelby, so please enlighten me."

"Forgive me, but it seems you 'aven't been informed well enough." he stated, a smirk playing along his lips, yet his eyes held no warmth, even with the mirth coloring his words. "It’s my brother Arthur you've been greetin' not me, Thomas, that you're supposed to marry."

She blushed the darkest shade of crimson as she remembered the conversation she had with her mother. It was the same day her parents had agreed to marry her off to Thomas Shelby and they had told her about the man, but stubborn as she was, Saoirse had run away, not wanting to see or hear anymore of the business man and gang leader from Birmingham. And now looking back at the smirking man, Saoirse felt the anger boil in the pit of her stomach. How dare he mock her for that honest mistake? If this was the way her married life with him was going to be, she'd stop it right there. If only she could slap that smirk from his face, granting her satisfaction for being the prick of a businessman that he was.

"Well, if you'll excuse me, Mister Thomas Shelby, there are other guests I have to greet." she ground out between clenched teeth and left the three Shelbys in the ballroom, Polly glaring daggers at her nephew. On the way out she ran into Niamh, one of their maids, hurrying out of sight with a haunted look. "Are you alright?"

"I'm so sorry, Miss," she mumbled hastily looking over Saoirse's left shoulder to where the Shelbys were still rooted to the spot but Arthur was watching the redhead closely, his eyes furrowed in confusion. "I-I forgot something, yes, something in the kitchen."

Taking a hold of her arm, the younger woman led the maid away from the party, the eldest Shelby brother hot on their heels while Saoirse asked herself why she was afraid of the man. "Has he hurt you, Niamh? Taken you against your will?"

"Nothing of the sort, Miss." She shook her head, her red waves bouncing with the motion. "I was stupid and in love."

Furrowing her brows, the youngest daughter of the Duke stopped them both behind a corner. "Then why wouldn't you want to talk to him? It could be your chance."

Niamh's eyes glazed over with unshed tears, thinking back to the day he said his vows and sealed it with a kiss. "It's too late for that. I wanted so badly to tell him that" but she broke off, shaking her head.

"What? That you love him?" Saoirse inquired, putting her hand on the maids arm, hoping to get a real answer out of her.

"No, at least not just that." she started, brushing away a stray tear that had escaped. "I wanted to tell him that I was with child, but he married another. Arthur is Jack's father." The little boy had been coming to the stables often enough, trailing after Owen who took care of the horses.

"What?!" the deep timbre of a voice pulled them out of their conversation and both women turned to look at the man that had caught up to them, blue eyes blazing like the stormy sea as he strode towards Niamh.

Arthur Shelby had been a father long before Linda told him about the child growing in her belly.

The Wedding: The Bride and Her Father Arrive!

It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Her Royal Highness Princess Niamh has arrived at the cathedral, escorted by her father, HRH Prince Frederick.

The Bride appears to be wearing a figure hugging dress with a small train. It features a high neckline, short capped sleeves, and buttons down the back. Paired beautifully with a Cathedral length veil, attached by what we're all most interested in- the Tiara.
