✨Hi! I never thought I'd be sending an ask here but I'm curious as to what these birds I see all around my apartment building and train station are!
Tumblr media
✨I know this isn't the best picture, but it's the best one I could get before it flew away ^^'
✨Me and my sibling think it's either a house sparrow or maybe a female European sterling, as we've also seen black birds that look similar to male sterlings. We live in NYC, if that helps to narrow it down!
You are right on track! It is a...
House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) female, family Passeridae, order Passeriformes
Sometimes called the English Sparrow, here in the U.S.
They were introduced from England into the U.S. in NYC in 1852, originally. It has been introduced into many various parts of the world.
Its thought that House Sparrows originate in the Middle East, but introduced themselves into much of Europe and northern Africa, as agriculture spread thousands of yeas ago.

what if the Force wasn't 'energy connecting all life', but rather the fear that is universal in life, ala the Magnus Archives?
so each Force-user has a specific flavor of fear they serve or otherwise feed, a single aspect of the Force as a whole
for example, the Dathomiri Nightsisters and Nightbrothers serve the Dark, and the Sith almost universally serve the Desolation
but the Jedi vary, depending on their specializations
for example, Mace with his shatterpoints and Quinlan with his psychometry feed the Beholding, while pilots like Plo Koon tend to serve the Vast
Shaak and Ahsoka both chose to follow their people's tradition of serving the Hunt
I'm not sure what Dooku would have been affiliated with as a Jedi, but as a Sith, he serves the Corruption, with his droid armies and various separatist Generals, such as Grievous
Anakin's affinity for flying and some of the galaxy's cosmic forces connected him to the Vast as a Jedi, but Vader quickly switched to the Desolation, following in his new Master's footsteps
Yoda, with his very long life and familiarity with the inevitability of death, has long served the End
Obi-Wan always felt most connected to the Distortion with his creative relationship with the truth and the many tailored personas he wore during his negotiations, but Ben fell deep into the embrace of the Lonely during his exile on Tatooine
