Code Name: The Cyber Phantom Plague
Object Class: Apollyon/ Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-ABF as far as the Foundation is aware, cannot be contained, instead all life on the surface of the earth is to be bombarded to allow SCP-2000 to begin.
Update: 2008/false - bombardment was a success. SCP-2000 has been located and activated and has set the world back to 2006, the date it is to be recognized as such.
Update: 2008/true - efforts to prevent SCP-ABF form existing are successful, SCP-ABF is to now be classified as Neutralized. Mobile Task Force Kappa-10 "Skynet" is responsible for reviewing all Foundation collected data on SCP-ABF and either cataloguing it while reviewing all possible info-hazards and Cognito-hazards and destroying them if deemed necessary.
Description: SCP-ABF is a cyber plague that spreads to all forms of technology through signals and the internet. Once a technological device has been caught by SCP-ABF weather through the internet, infected signals, electrical currents, or even vial physical contact they become hosts of SCP-ABF. It has unfortunately been proven that once infected the technological devices don't need electricity in order to thrive.
SCP-ABF mainly takes the form of the deceased, as it is seemingly empowered by the presence of the dead. These particular souls seem to belong to a purgatory like afterlife where they feel absolutely nothing. As such these entities that reside within SCP-ABF have no qualms with attacking humans who are unfortunately too close to SCP-ABF. These entities can manifest nearby any form of technology SCP-ABF has infected. When they do manifest, its normally where humans are so that they can begin feeding. However, they don't necessarily need a device infected with SCP-ABF, they just need an area of clear signal or the possibility of signal.
The entities with SCP-ABF feed on humans by either possessing them or eating their life force through physical contact. When they possess humans, they typically feed on their life force in small amounts while forcing the host to committee suicide, which leads them to feeding on all the life force through the death. When they go directly for the life force, they normally leave the human prey with necrosis growing on the skin depending on where they made contact. According to reports made by Foundation survivors of SCP-ABF a single second of contact with an entity is enough to cause massive damage to the body thought the longest someone can last have contact with an SCP-ABF entity is 5 minutes which normally leads to the entire body turning into dust.
This is unfortunately the full extent to the knowledge of SCP-ABF and the entities that reside within its infected devices. It's unknown if the entities that feed on life force will be resurrected or perhaps change somehow if they absorb enough life force. Perhaps absorbing lifeforce allows SCP-ABF itself to expand, or if lifeforce is the only thing that keeps them going like how a vampire needs to regularly drink blood, again weather this is true or not is unknown. It's also unknown whether or not those that get killed by the entities within SCP-ABF will become similar entities themselves after death.
Regardless, SCP-ABF was discovered in 2006 by Foundation forces on earth, somewhere in the US. Though nothing has been confirmed as SCP-ABF unfortunately spread too fast leaving Foundation earth staff fragmented and torn apart in the ensuing chaos. The only reason the Foundation was able to obtain any of the information was form archives hidden in Foundation sites as well as survivors who managed to stay alive in stasis pods. Though even then it's mainly just recounts by what was observed during a time of chaos so some of it is conflicting. Because of this it's possible that SCP-ABF was capable of so much more during its active time. Unfortunately, SCP-ABF is so dangerous that to reactivate it for testing purposes would lead to another XK Class End of the World Scenario on earth and this time possibly the entire solar system, if its spreads too fast.
Technically SCP-ABF managed to survive bombardment of Mobile Task Force Apollo-1 "Orion's Belt" until 2008, but due to SCP-2000's properties the time it took no longer exists. For common Foundation staff it's easier to just say SCP-ABF was neutralized the same year it manifested on. It was only out of pure luck that all the organizations of the ACPA and the worlds governments managed to agree to activate every EMP available to them in order to shut down all devices in the world to stop the spread of SCP-ABF. If they had not done this in time, it would have been possible for SCP-ABF to spread to satellites allowing it to spread to human technology on the moon and other Foundation owned planets.
Though the threat of SCP-ABF has been neutralized, the entities within SCP-ABF exist in a purgatory like dimension that is so close to our reality it can be accessed through frequencies alone. However, what these frequencies are and how to obtain them have been classified by the O5 Council and anyone coming close to finding them again is to be found and terminated by Mobile Task Force Iota-10 "Damn Feds", while their work is to be destroyed properly by MTF Kappa-10. All information on and any information relating to SCP-ABF is to either be destroyed or encrypted to ensure the existence of this purgatory, the nature of SCP-ABF, as well as the capabilities of SCP-2000 are never brought to light.

A pre-hijacking fic of Peeta’s decision to stay after being captured by the Capitol, finding strength in his promise to Katniss.
Just when I thought to pull my hand back, Katniss squeezed it. “Stay with me,” she breathed out, her face and hand going slack as sleep pulls her under.
It should’ve been embarrassing how immediate my response was, let alone my actual response, but I couldn’t fault myself for speaking the truth.

An hour into the movie, Shepard noticed Garrus getting bored. It had been her turn to pick the movie and she’d chosen an old horror classic from Earth, about a 7 foot tall alien monster slaughtering the hapless crew of a human cargo ship. Garrus claimed not to see the resemblance, but he endured her jokes about horrible spiky aliens with characteristic good humour and only a little grumbling.
On-screen, the surviving characters were discussing how to deal with the alien invader occupying their ship (Shepard had seen it before, so she already knew their plans were doomed to gory failure). Off-screen, Garrus’s hand had settled casually on her bare knee. Shepard continued to watch the movie, pretending not to notice as his hand traveled slowly up her thigh, blunted talons dragging feather-light over her skin. Goosebumps sprang up on her arms and the back of her neck. She shivered.
Garrus let out an amused huff and leaned closer to nuzzle her neck. Without taking her eyes off the movie, Shepard tilted her head to the side, baring her throat to him. He showed his gratitude by flicking his tongue over the skin above her pulse point, then nipped her gently. When his needle-sharp teeth grazed her throat, she gasped and squeezed her thighs tightly together as a surge of arousal sent warm tingles pulsing through her core.

The next few months passed with ease, work was smooth, a lot, and busy, but smooth. Melinda was able to move you through things with expertise you never would have imagined, as the weather got colder you ended up on more crime scenes, more late nights spent with the detectives and one hell of a lot more coffee. You still regularly saw each other at work, and met up for a variety of hangouts, from coffee to a brief lunch before one of you had to race off to work, or a full fledged dinner and drinks. Sometimes you simply buried into each other on one of your couches, deep into a Netflix or movie trilogy binge, the wine flowing freely while you half curled up with each other.
You did keep everything professional and private, especially in public, there may have been the rare kiss, or a hand on a thigh, a quick tug of the other’s hand, but to the untrained eye, you were simply a pair of friends out for a post work drink. Most of your time was spent in your apartment, you hated Casey’s habit of leaving, no matter how late it was, she always reminded you with a gentle kiss that she just didn’t sleep well in someone else’s bed. “That doesn’t mean neither of us has to work.” Her lips met your softly, “Hell it probably means there’s a higher chance for one of us to be called in.” You cracked an eye open, taking in her gentle smile through the dark room, “I’ll text you once I’m home, sleep tight baby,” Her lips met your head once more before you were completely blissed out, falling into a world of sweet dreams before you could even imagine.

First ship: At first thought, I was going to say that I am way too old to remember, but I think I shipped The Fool and Fitz from the Farseer Trilogy pretty hard, but not to the point where I got angry at Molly. More like I just enjoyed it when people thought they were together.
Last song: Hello by Martin Solveig. No idea why except I was working out and it has a good pulse for that.
Last movie: Bill (2015) a comedy movie about William Shakespeare that was surprisingly good.
Currently reading: Pratchett’s Reaper Man and Death in the Clouds by Agatha Christies and probably four or five other books because I can never read just one thing.
Currently watching: Yonderland. Highly recommend.
Currently consuming: It’s eight at night and I don’t eat after seven because it ruins my sleep. Last thing I did consume though was a very delicious but tiny vegan burger at a restaurant I went to with my sister and her kids to celebrate the big nephew’s birthday. Unless I misunderstood this question, in which case I am consuming my favourite forms of media, see above.

The Jurassic Franchise is growing at the Universal Orlando Resort! New Parade + Nighttime Show!
Jurassic fans - we have TWO new experiences coming to Universal Studios Florida. Universal Mega Movie Parade and Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular are joining the ranks of Jurassic offerings at the Universal Orlando Resort this summer!
First up, we have a new daytime parade hitting the streets with some great properties, including our beloved T.rex! Universal Mega Movie Parade begins July 3rd, 2024.
"Your favorite characters leap off screen onto the streets for a daytime parade. Feel the roar of the T. rex, enjoy the adventure of E.T., embrace your true colors with Trolls and more. On select days."
Back in 2018, Universal Studios Japan introduced a Jurassic World section of their Universal Spectacle Night Parade. If the parade offerings coming to Orlando are anything like the one in Japan, we are in for a treat!
Next up, we have a new nighttime show coming to the lagoon at Universal Studios Florida. Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular will grace our ears with plenty of John Williams’ greatness on June 14th, 2024!

Recently, the park had the nighttime show Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration, which featured a Jurassic World segment. The nighttime show facilities closed down after Hurricane Ian, but will be brought back this summer with a brand new show. Hopefully the show will span the Jurassic World trilogy and we get to see more than just the 2015 film.

'Acclaimed filmmaker, Christopher Nolan, has teamed up with Universal Pictures to bring his sweeping World War II epic thriller, Oppenheimer, to the big screen.
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin, the film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the ‘father of the atomic bomb’.
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer delves deep into the psyche of a singular American mind: the brilliant scientist behind the invention that represented the total sum of human ingenuity, an invention that would remake civilization even as its existence threatened the future of mankind.
It thrusts the audience into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.
“What I wanted to do was take the audience into the mind and the experience of a person who sat at the absolute center of the largest shift in history,” says Nolan. “Like it or not, J. Robert Oppenheimer is the most important person who ever lived. He made the world we live in, for better or for worse. And his story must be seen to be believed.”
Nolan’s films, including Tenet, Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy, have earned more than $5 billion at the global box office and have been awarded 11 Oscars® and 36 nominations, including two Best Picture nominations.

J. Robert Oppenheimer is played by Cillian Murphy, the Irish actor best known for his role in the BBC TV drama, Peaky Blinders. The actor has appeared in five of Nolan’s previous films but never in a lead role, until now.
The appeal and challenge of playing Oppenheimer, Murphy says, was doing justice to the physicist’s immense intelligence and moral struggles. “We were always chasing after the complexity of Oppenheimer, as he was no simple man,” Murphy says. “None of the people in this movie are. Having that huge intellect can be a burden; people like that operate on a completely different plane than us mere mortals, and that brings its own complications and challenges to their personal life and moral life.”
The stellar cast also includes Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett and Casey Affleck, Rami Malek and Kenneth Branagh.
CINEMATOGRAPHY
Oppenheimer was shot using some of the highest resolution film cameras that exist – a combination of IMAX® 65mm and Panavision 65mm including, for the first time ever, sections in IMAX® black and white analogue photography.
“What large-format photography gives you is clarity, first and foremost,” says Nolan. “It’s a format that allows the audience to become fully immersed in the story and in the reality that you’re taking them to. In the case of Oppenheimer, it’s a story of great scope and great scale and great span. But I also wanted the audience to be in the rooms where everything happened, as if you were there, having conversations with these scientists in these important moments.”
SPECIAL EFFECTS
Contrary to Internet rumor, Christopher Nolan did not detonate an actual atomic bomb in New Mexico for Oppenheimer, just so he could film the nuclear fire and mushroom cloud of the iconic Trinity test. Instead, he worked with special effects supervisors SCOTT FISHER (who won Oscars® for Interstellar and Tenet) and ANDREW JACKSON (who also won an Oscar® for Tenet) to produce the film’s version of the atomic explosion. Nolan gave them a limitation: Consistent with his aesthetic preference for practical effects, Nolan told them there could be no computer-generated imagery.
“Computer graphics would never give you the sense of threat that you see in real-life footage. There’s a visceral feeling to that footage. It becomes tactile, and in becoming tactile it can be threatening as well as awesome. So that was the challenge. To find what you might call analogue methods to produce effects to evoke the requisite threat, awe, and horrible beauty of the Trinity test.”
How the actual atomic explosion images were created for the film remains top-secret, but it’s clear the work of making them was a Manhattan Project unto itself, and a rather fun one, too.
LOCATIONS
Nolan did consider shooting the film at the real Los Alamos, where some of the structures built for the Manhattan Project are preserved. But the current location now has modern buildings that would have been too difficult or costly to frame out or eliminate with digital technology.
So, the filmmakers came up with a novel strategy – the town was reconstructed using exteriors at a 21,000-acre retreat in Northern New Mexico called Ghost Ranch, and most of the interiors were shot at the real Los Alamos. This approach proved energizing for the cast, as it allowed Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt to shoot scenes in the very home where the Oppenheimers had lived.
A version of the Trinity test site as well as the far-away bunker where Oppenheimer watched the detonation, was specially built for the film.
Other locations included the original house Oppenheimer and his wife lived in during their time at the Institute of Advanced Study at Princeton University as well as Albert Einstein’s old office at the IAS.
CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE

Eddie blinked, staring at Steve curiously.
The guy had balls, he had to hand it to him. His stomach didn’t feel right and after what he had just done, he really wasn’t in a mood to play games. But focusing on Steve’s words was better than the pulse under his neck.
Fuck, he really was screwed, wasn’t he?
Without missing another beat, he kept his gaze on Steve while he spoke, “I know for the fact that the Star Wars trilogy is overrated as shit, no matter how much you or Henderson try to convince me otherwise.”
He recalled a time when Dustin and him actually got into an argument at lunch over the films – masterpieces, he had been told – which he vehemently denied. Mike and Gareth had talked them down before it got too heated, but for two weeks afterwards, Dustin would use movie quotes during Hellfire just to piss him off.
〝 it's not. 〞 his automatic defense came as a surprise, not even because of the nerdiness of it all, but that he could retrieve a strand of joy in the midst of everything. his face softened, jaw unclenched, hands released the strain on the bat. even the hint of relief was foreign at this point.
he stared, blinking a few times to be sure he was awake. then it hit him — the crumbling. his brow scrunched and his lip twitched, followed by a hard gulp. he forgot how dry his throat got after all the shouting in moments of near death.
〝 eddie? 〞 the tone was much softer this time. the bat fell to the ground as he approached the bloodied man. he wasted no time in pulling him into an embrace. fingers clawed at the other, gripping so hard as though he would disappear again. the last few days taught him more about loss than his entire life. more than half of the town was likely dead, he couldn't even guarantee his own parents' survival. loss and refinding engulfed steve, his heart radiating warmth once again.

Final Thoughts: I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the synopsis for this I was hopeful this may be a somewhat in-depth guide to elements of those three genres (wuxia, xianxia, xuanhuan) and the background to them. Alas, it wasn't, but I still learned some things I didn't know before, so it was still worth it. 💪🏻

I love him very much.
