I do! I didn't used to in my earlier fandom days but now I'm pretty consistent about it.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I once wrote a major character death fic for Queer as Folk where Justin died. Not really my style anymore. Back in my ff.net days I also wrote Merthur major character death fic, I'm just remembering.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I always try and do happily ever afters! A lot of my stories end with a sense of "and then they continue on their adventures, and life isn't always simple or easy", so in terms of the most pure, joyful ending? I guess I'll go living proof, which is the end of my episode series for Roswell, NM, which is just a "now they're married and happy forever" fic.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I have before, but not as a rule. Once got called an abuse apologist & incest support (oh the horror /s) for exploring the canonical close friendship (not even a romantic relationship!) between two dudes from Shadowhunters lmao. And there's a troll in the Roswell fandom who writes hilarious and idiotic unhinged rants and I've been hit by her before, but she's got a scatter-shot approach and attacks a lot of people, so, at least I know it's nothing personal.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Yep! What is meant by "what kind" here? lol. I'm pretty vanilla. Mostly m/m, but I usually don't pass over the chance for m/m/f. I actually recently wrote my very first m/f full-on sex scene ever for a little Magicians snippet, Kady/Penny lol.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
No, I don't wrote crossovers in the sense that characters from various worlds don't meet each other in my fics. HOWEVER, two of my favorite things I've ever written have been Magicians AUs that crossed over the characters from that show with the full plot from other films. One is The Old Guard (A Comet Pulled From Orbit), and one is When Harry Met Sally (When Quentin Met Eliot).

Not to my knowledge

Yeah, a few times! Used to happen a lot back with old ff.net stuff, and I recently had my good omens fic translated.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
I'm co-writing a series right now! First time I've ever done it and it's a blast.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
uhhhhh don't make me choose? lmao. In terms of fandom engagement and longevity I guess Queliot at this point. But in terms of... the ships that made me discover and appreciate and explore fandom in the first place? Kirk/Spock and Brian/Justin. Classics.
16. What are your writing strengths?
dialogue and tone setting, I think?
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
plot details (I get bored and distracted mapping things out)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
tbh I usually wince when I see it in fic? I'm not a fan. It always feels a little silly. Maybe very very sparingly if there's like a singular phrase or term of endearment or something but I'd rather just indicate that someone is speaking another language rather than write it out. I feel like it can often be tokenizing if you just have one character who's bilingual and you give them little one-liners in a different language. Idk. If the author is bilingual and doing a thing, then that's awesome. But I can usually tell when someone's just using google translate for stuff lol.

Strawberry margarita mix to mostly fill the glass; separately, mix blue curaçao with silver tequila to “lighten” it (literally to reduce the weight) so that you can use back of a spoon to layer the blue on top. The sweetness and amount of tequila you need to add to the curacao make this drink an excellent shot.

Reasons why Michael Guerin Has a Mustache this season, some speculations
Following the predictable trend, the entire 13 episode run of Season 4 will take place over approximately 9 days. Not too long for a mustache experiment. But why, you ask? Why would God and the CW do this to us? Here are our best theories:
During production there was a "Michael" mix up and they gave Trevino's mustache to Vlamis, but once they realized the mistake it was too late to go back and re-film everything and they didn't want to be like Justice League Superman
What is left is an attempt to CGI the stache away
Entire season takes place during the last week of Movember
Michael lost a bet
Kyle bet him he couldn't grow one
It's the Michael Guerin version of gaining 20 lbs. once he's in a stable relationship
Michael is going to be Ted Lasso for Halloween
He's trying to look gayer

Roswell New Mexico - Season 4, Episode 9
I feel....like that was an episode that would have worked great like two thirds of the way through a 22 episode season. But in a 13 episode season that has to double as the final season it just....felt like a lot of wasted time. Like I know Liz’s whole conflict between the science and girl from Roswell and the proposal stuff is Liz’s whole deal this season but while I thought it worked okay in the beginning of the season, now it’s gotten quite tiring. And I’ve seen a lot of complaints that she’s become unlikable and I don’t disagree. Especially now that we have Evil Science Liz around. I just...I don’t know quite what to make of any of it. I suppose at least that reveal at the end represented some kind of change/consequence to make the episode more worthwhile but....Blah.
I don’t know, I just feel like there’s a lot more that I care about outside of Liz’s internal conflict and Echo drama that just got largely shelved for this. I mean, again, if it was a bottle episode in a 22 episode season, it wasn’t a bad episode. But....I want more.
Because we still don’t know what the Alighting is. We just left Tesca in a cage I guess even though she’s becoming deprogrammed. Alex, Dallas and Bonnie are still in a sink hole. We don’t know what Clyde is up to. And there’s...four episodes left.
Sigh...but some positives....
I did really like that Rosa and Michael scene. It took so long for them to even have a real scene back in season 3, so getting them confiding in each other was nice.
I love that Rosa is honing her powers with Heath’s help. I could maybe be cool with them dating. He’s a hell of a step up from that bizarre and terrible Wyatt plot from last season that I’m super grateful they’ve never brought up again.
I liked having Heath back since he hasn’t even been mentioned all season. It would have felt weird if he continued to not be mentioned with Dallas missing. So yay for that.
I liked getting to see OG Liz even if it was in mindscape world.
Same goes for Arturo and Sanders. But also, it made me once again really wish that Arturo was in on the alien secret because I still think it’s crazy that he’s not and he still doesn’t even know how Rosa came back to life.
Kyle as a horse was...a choice. I know I know...Trevino was directing. Haha. At least Kyle was mentioned in this episode despite not being in it physically.
But at least we got some maybe forward momentum on the Kybel thing with Isobel and Maria’s scene.
At least next week we seem to be getting Kyle and Michael scenes where they’re working together to find Alex. That’s something. They’ve totally cheated us on the Alex and Kyle friendship post season 1, so please...give me crumbs.
But also...every time we just see that one shot of Alex sinking, I lose all hope that we’re going to actually see him. He’s really gonna end up just being in like the last two episodes or something. I hope he at least gets that much. Ugh...sigh.
Also...we need some damn plot movement. It really feels like so much has stalled. It’s frustrating.

To be honest, there are quite a few I just CAN'T miss. But, I'll just do a Top 3, cause I'm unable to choose just one.
The Mandalorian, obviously, cause it's my favorite show.
Stangers Things, just because it has a little bit of everything I love in a TVShow and the characters are just so endearing ! I love them all to death !
Our Flag Means Death, of course ! I've watched it on a loop for a few weeks now and I just can't get enough of it. It really is the greatest show on Earth (and Sea). When S2 will drop, it'll probably be the death of me (in the best way possible.)
13 : show you watch for a ship?
Honestly? Roswell New Mexico. If it wasn't for Malex I would I've dropped the show a long time ago. I mean... I love the prospect of Kybel also, but Echo is exhausting and all the unnecessary drama make me roll my eyes so hard... But I still watch it, even if the plot is full of holes and very bad sometimes. I must be a masochist, but I'm still too addicted and attached to Malex (and Kybel) to drop the show.
20 : show you think should’ve ended sooner?
SO MANY SHOWS! I mean look at Grey's Anatomy for exemple ? Will it ever end? But I've stopped watching the show like 10 seasons ago so if I really had to choose one, it'd be The Flash.
I don't know why I still watch it because it's very bad. It must end! Please, let it end!

I’m so glad you love Max Evans! I also love him! MaxLiz is my fave couple on the show!
I think the thing that gets me with Max is that he IS so steady, so unwavering in his emotions…and he just says what he’s feeling. Liz doesn’t have to guess about how Max feels about her. I wish more guys were like Max TBH.
It doesn’t help my fangirling that he was Jackson on The Originals and I loved him too. (Despite also wanting Hayley to be with Elijah. My shipper heart was so confused.)
I absolutely CANNOT believe what happened in the season one finale. Thank god I’ll have season 2 episodes 1 and 2 to watch tomorrow.

Should I watch Roswell? I can’t tell by your posts if you liked the show or just Malex lol
I know Anon i’m a mixed messages mess. Roswell has so much potential but they also got some big fundamental things wrong is season 1 so idk if i would recommend the show to friends.
You didn’t ask but here is what i think they got right and wrong so you can make up your own mind.
Keep doing this
Latina lead who is smart and strong and flawed
ALL the cast have amazing chemistry with each other
Two awesome shippy ships or say the shippiest of things to each other like “We connected like something...Cosmic” and “I see your faults. And i love you easily”
Ageing the characters up from the OG
Malex treated the same as the m/f couples
Malex in general. Beautiful *chefs kiss*
Has a good grasp of topics like white privilege, consent, gun control in USA
Fix this please
The pacing and plotting particularly at the back half of the season. Too many plot threads (murder mystery, govt conspiracies, 4th alien, relationship dramas)
Plus too much happening in an ep with quick resolutions that don’t feel earned sometimes
Underwritten woc. Actually i feel like a few of their characters are very underwritten, the show relies heavily on the chemistry of the cast.
The love triangle from hell. Poorly written. I’m biased but i hate it, whatevs. Plus i get the sense from the showrunners twitter that she’ll double down on this in season 2.
Important things happen off screen.
Malex spend half the season without interacting feels wasted. Characters can grow and learn and have seperate storylines but still interact.
Predictable twists.

1. Who is your favorite character in 2?
Alex Manes is my favorite. I just love him and his story.
2. Who is your least favorite character in 1?
Imma just say it Alaric and Josie Saltzman. I'm just not a fan of them.
3. What is your favorite episode of 4?
Oh that's a hard one.. But I guess I'll go with the episode that started it all 1x01.
4. What is your favorite season of 5?
Season 3 is my favorite. Mostly because we got No Humanity Stefan, I really enjoyed that storyline. But also because we got to see more of the Mikaelsons and learn more about their past and how they became vampire.
5. What is your favorite couple in 3?
Jackie/Hyde and in my head they ended up together. I started shipping them since 3x08 and I really loved their development(s8 doesn't exist to me. Not just with Jackie/Hyde but as a whole).
6. Who is your favorite couple in 2?
Malex. They have a chokehold on my heart ❤❤😍😍
7. What is your favorite season of 1?
Season 1. When the storylines didn't feel like a complete mess( or just ignored). And when we actually start it to get answers.
8. What's your favorite episode of 5?
I don't really have a favorite episode for this one. At least not one I can think of right now.

1x06. What can I say I'm a sucker for a good backstory episode and this one just stuck with me.
10. How long have you watched 1?
Since the pilot first aired.
11. How did you become interest in 3?
When I saw a rerun episode on TV back in middle school. They became my favorite gang of misfits.
12. Who is your favorite actor in 4?
Imma go with Joseph Morgen. He did an amazing job playing Klaus Mikaelson and showing each side of him.
13. Which do you prefer 1, 2, or 5?
5, mostly because this show has been with me since I was 11.

3 bc it has more seasons.
15. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Imma be honest, I wouldn't want to be anyone. Everyone character has been through hell I'm good.
16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
No it wouldn't. But I do think it would be fun to see that crossover.
17. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.
Don't ask me why but I feel like Lizzie and Wade would make a good couple.

They both have really good storylines. But 5 is better.

Neither since they don't have theme music.

1) Who is your favourite character in 2(the Vampire Diaries)?
This is difficult… a tie between Bonnie Bennet and Tyler Lockwood, they both deserved more content and better storylines
2) Who is your least favourite character in 1(Roswell New Mexico)?
Nora Truman hands down, I feel like she could have been written more consistently (and maybe held accountable for her actions) but Noah Bracken is a close tie… sorry if I’m being salty but just nah
3) What is your favourite episode of 4(Justice League Unlimited)?
“This Little Piggy” like come on, Wonder Woman gets turned into a pig and Batman has to serenade Circe to get her back? with Zatana doing a guest appearance!
4) What is your favourite season of 5(Moonlight)?
Welp, season one. The one and only, lol
5) Who is your favourite couple in 3(New Girl)?
Cece and Schmidt, they are in fact soulmates
6) Who is your favourite couple in 2(the Vampire Diaries)?
This is a hard one, cause there were a lot of good couples, but for healthy dynamics and how invested I was would be Tyler/Caroline cause they were too precious and had the exact right amount of doomed from the start angst
7) What is your favourite season of 1(Roswell New Mexico)?
Probably season one, I loved the unraveling of the ‘what happened to Rosa?’ the plot points being hit nearly every episode and everything about Echo of course
season two was great for character dynamics and three seems to soon to properly judge
8) What is your favourite episode of 5(Moonlight)?
“Sonata” it’s the final installation and shows Mick and Beth getting over themselves, but most importantly for young me, posed the question of how a vampire could be ‘cured’ and what that meant for the universe in general
9) What is your favourite episode of 2(the Vampire Diaries)?
4x08 “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street” for no reason besides Damon&Stefan, Bonnie&Elena&Caroline bonding time, and Tyler straight up telling Elena she was in love with Damon and to screw the sirebond, cause Tyler&Elena would have been such a good friendship to explore more of
10) How long had you watched 1(Roswell New Mexico)?
I’ve been watching it since it started airing, actually saw the pilot episode live and fell into this unwittingly
11) How did you become interested in 3(New Girl)?
My sister made me watch a few episodes with her and it was the first actually funny sitcom I ever saw, so I ended up watching the entire thing
12) Who is your favourite actor in 4(Justice League Unlimited)?
So voice actors… idk, Mark Hamill did a wonderful job as always
13) Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
Roswell New Mexico hands down, it’s my current obsession and I think the characters are wonderful so idk…
14) Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1(Roswell New Mexico) or 3(New Girl)?
I’ve seen all existing episodes of both, but New Girl has more so it wins out here
15) If you could be anyone from 4(Justice League Unlimited), who would you be?
umm, toss up between Black Canary and the Question, but Vic does hold a special place in my heart so who knows
16) Would a crossover between 3(New Girl) and 4(Justice League Unlimited) work?
It would be too chaotic… like animated Jess??? or live action Batman??? it just… doesn’t
17) Pair two characters in 1(Roswell New Mexico) that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple
okay, so I ship practically everyone in RNM, so unlikely is hard for me to wrap my head around… because they all seem likely. However, based off the universe and the history I’d have to say Michael/Liz just because of Max and all the context there, because they are great on paper, their personalities compliment each other nicely (even if they’d probably lock themselves into the grotto and die of starvation science-ing together)
18) Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3(New Girl) or 5(Moonlight)?
not to hate on New Girl but as a sitcom it introduces random elements randomly, looses characters all the time, and reset Coach every time he returned to the loft
so Moonlight wins (also because it got canceled before they wrote too much plot)
19) Which has the better theme music, 2(the Vampire Diaries) or 4(Justice League Unlimited)?
did TVD have theme music? so I guess JLU, but TVD’s soundtrack was like listening to my playlists 60% of the time
20) What is your favourite episode of 3(New Girl)?
Probably the very last one, it appealed to my character and possibility driven brain, with that flash-forward to them playing All-American with their kids, it was just too sweet

I just randomly remembered how atrocious the writing for season 2 of Roswell New Mexico was....
Maria breaks up with Michael because he went off to rescue a kidnapped Alex? Are we to assume that Maria wouldn’t have done the same to save a best friend she loves dearly? That any of our main characters wouldn’t have done the same to help Alex? But when Michael does it, it’s break up time?
It’s almost like Carina got to episode 13 and suddenly remembered she had to break up Michael/Maria for all the ‘cosmic love’ stuff next season and just quickly wrote a scene in there.
And by the way, didn’t Maria see Michael’s healed hand at the end of season 1? And didn’t we get a whole episode where she wants a faith healer for her mother and then in season 2, her mother is even more progressively ill and she doesn’t ask about Max and his healing abilities? The writing for Maria was such a disservice to the character - she was not allowed to actually discuss the aliens despite having an alien boyfriend. I hope she gets better writing in season 3 but keeping my expectations low.
And then Liz suddenly turning dumb in the latter half of the season - ‘I am going to invent a miracle cure for all the diseases in the world using alien DNA, get the glory and credit for my family and yet somehow keep the alien part secret!’
She’s a scientist. She really doesn’t know how the FDA works? The writers didn’t know how the FDA works considering all the news recently about vaccine development and clinical trials and peer reviewed published results? Even Kyle was like - ‘Bro, what are you talking about?!’. If she had invented cures, the whole world would have known about the aliens. And then Max blows up the lab to protect his family because Diego was creeping on it, and Liz is like ‘THAT’S IT! WE ARE BREAKING UP! I am leaving for the science!’ Whatever.
And then Alex sings a love song for Michael and he just walks out in the middle of it lol. Like truly a comedy show.
I don’t even know what was going on with Kyle and the lady in the hospital because it was so boring and I skipped their scenes. What a waste of Kyle.
Isobel living the single life was honestly the best character in season 2. She got extra powers, became bad-ass, had an emotionally grueling episode with her abortion, learned about her mother, got a new relative, discovered her sexuality, snarked at everyone and was generally, simply the best.
And honestly the human villains are so inept and boring. I am tired of the ‘Manes Men’ and their mustache twirling evilness. The aliens’ main threat was the aliens themselves - Noah, then Max dying trying to save Rosa and now Farmer Jones or whomever. Jesse Manes stumbling around making vague threats is like an ineffective Bond villain and then all his plans ending with a whimper.
Have these writers never seen an episode of the X-Files? The Cigarette Smoking Man was scary in just one scene standing in a corner than Jesse Manes has been for all of 2 seasons. Mulder and Scully have been captured and experimented on more times and they are human! Meanwhile, pretty much everyone in project shepherd knows that the pod squad are aliens and what?
Anyways, here’s hoping the new showrunner and writers give us more cohesive, character driven stories rather than plot driven ones. Season 2 was such a mess that it can only go up from here.
