I like the rdr2 epilogue, and I'm tired of pretending I don't. (I literally have never pretended. I have always made my love clear.) Is John's model questionable? Mhm. Does he look a bit too much like Arthur? Yep. Could R* have put a bit more work into it? For sure. Do I still love it, tho? Very much so. The family moments between John, Abigail, and Jack? His friendship with Sadie, Charles, and Uncle? The whispers of Arthur and Dutch in everything John is/does? R* actually showing John's struggle to leave the outlaw life behind and be there for his family instead of just pretending he became a perfect family man overnight, (like a lot of other games would have done)? John's adorably sweet and emo journal entries? It all makes up for it for me. I love the epilogue.

Hello there folks!

A major publisher in my country just published (finally!) the translation for Black Powder War this January 2024, and I wanna show you the Indonesian cover for Temeraire series so far!

I don't think the dragons are accurate and I have no idea who the fuck is that man in book 1, but I think there are very pretty, especially the gold colorings.

I also wanna explain some funny translation things, which may contain spoiler, so beware.

So that guy clearly is not Will Laurence. And the funny thing is, the meaning of the title "Naga Sang Kaisar" is more closer to "Emperor's Dragon" than "His Majesty's Dragon"

I mean they can perfectly chose Raja (King) to translate "His Majesty", but they chose Kaisar (Emperor) instead. Maybe it is a winkwink spoilery thing to sneakily hint who the actual intended resipient for Celestial egg is.

In that case—is that Napoleon then???

Anyway, I just know that, because of this cover, the new reader in my country will always pictured Laurence with dark hair until in the book six or something when they'll be like, wait, he is bLOND??

I MAKE MY TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO TUMBLR with a shit ton of characters from mother 64 (the brain rot is real I have been obsessing over this stupid n64 game since I was in the 3rd grade)

With the exeption of Thomas, Lisa , Richie, nichol, lighter AND fuel (plus a couple others) none of these characters have confirmed names buuut there is a lot (or frustratingly little) evidence of them being some of the original incarnations of mother 3 npcs. Like take for example the gentlemen up there, now the man on the left is obviously Bronson ( I mean CMON they literally have the same face his goddamn design is so recognizable it even translates to sprite art) but the man on the right on the other hand…. Well it took until someone found an unused table of the campfire cutscene and found out that jonel was the one who told you the bad news that the eb64 community decided by proxy that this fella was jonel! Maybe… I mean it does align with the fact that we know for certain that a lot of roles were swapped during development (Bronson was probably the guy who accompanied you during the forest fire and not Thomas judging on unused gba data) so why the helll not, anyway the point Im Trying to make is that we don’t know who these guys really are YET. Not until a build resurfaces (cuz it’s only a matter of TIME TILL IT LEAKS I MEAN ITTLL BOUND TO RESURFACE EVENTUALLY RIGHT RIGHT I AM A NORMAL AND WELL ADJUSTED HUMAN BEING) but until then we just have to speculate, also I’m probably one of the only people to MAKE fan art of these characters until now lol anyway along with art I’m gonna be posting a shit ton of eb64 theories and essays cuz I need an outlet to vent my frustration. (Also maybe if i make enough fanart some felllas gonna decide to take one for the team and hack Hal labs or Nintendo and steal either the final build or the ENTIRE SOURCE CODE WITH EVERY ASSET, LINE OF SCRIPT, AND EVERY BUILD INCLUDING THE DD VERSION AMD ALSO THE LAST ONE BEFORE CANCELLATION. But I’d be fucking ecstatic if it’s the 2000 build also they probably haven’t scrubbed the game yet of all the unused files so we could probably find stuff dating back to 96 hidden in the rom and aaaaaaaa I’m getting exited just thinking about it lmaooo

“We need to get them out of here!” Hero staggered back from where their friend lay unconscious. A pool of red had begun to leak from beneath their shirt. They didn’t have much time.

And yet, the Villain was laughing. It cut through the air and left their shoulders shaking as if this all was a grand joke.

Blame it on hysterics, shock even. The world was moving too fast for Hero to care. They struggled to lift their friend from the concrete, but the sound only grew louder. Now a cackle, it was too much to bear.

“Can’t you help me?” They exclaimed with eyes wide. Their friend fell from their arms, tumbling in hopeless form.

Villain fell silent and turned as their lips twisted into a disappointed frown. “And why would I want to do that?”

“I-”

“You what? Spit it out, their life clearly depends on it,” Villain stepped between them, sparing not so much as a glance to where their friend still remained. “Save them if you wish! Heck, save this whole world, just like you always do!”

“What are you saying?” The Hero’s voice was level, though their hands were shaking. They reached towards their friend, but Villain slapped their hand away. “They’ll die, we need to help them!”

Villain tsked, “Do we? I always thought they were quite weak.” They delivered a kick to the friend's ribs, pushing Hero away when they tried to rush forward. “And really, who would ever miss them?”
