Sorry but if you're hating on Bruno having OCD/ND hcs in general and you're NT or haven't got that specific issue.

“jaime did it mostly for self preservation” “he did it bc he was ordered to kill his father” are not only blatantly incorrect and borderline illiterate reads of what is in the text but idk why people find it unfathomable that someone like jaime would want to prevent thousands of people from violently burning alive. like it is not actually a difficult moral equation which is why it is at the center of jaime’s arc and his relationship to his society because he realizes that the ethical constructs of westeros seem to be in opposition to this very obvious moral choice as seen by how the situation could even escalate to the point that it does through the enablement of the tyrant by the respected institution of the kingsguard and the uncritical upholding of the honor system over an actual coherent moral code. same with the scorn he receives for killing what everybody acknowledges as an objectively horrid tyrant who harmed innocents and violated law that knights are also sworn to protect and uphold and actually contradict by not acting against.

growing up is realizing that the marketing of The Hunger Games series was ironic in the sense that the romance and spectacle of the games were central instead of the social commentary and making a Captiol makeup line and all that shit, but also realizing that The Hunger Games very much is a love story and that is key to its point.
Katniss and Peeta grew up in a world of fear and control and hunger, and found peace and hope in each other. Katniss choosing to keep on living, to be with Peeta, to have children were all paramount to her growth. it showed that she felt safe to bring children into a new world without the games. she chose the person who made her feel like there was always something worth fighting for, that you cannot rid the world of its kindness and goodness no matter how hard you try. how is that not a love story? and a damn good one at that?
so when anyone says that The Hunger Games films weren’t good because they ‘focused too much on the love story’ I can’t help but be a pretentious fuck about it and shake them by the shoulders and go but it is a love story!
(now if your critique is that it focused too much on the love triangle, I partially agree. the books make it clear Gale was never a real contender. it was always Peeta. even when Peeta was probably dead or dying, Gale knew where Katniss’s heart would always be.)

Remembering how the other day i saw apparently someone (nobody important just tumblr users none of this is important) trying to get people to stop calling ai generated uh...anything i guess "intelligent" in any way, as if that could actually possibly be a real relevant concern to anyone, and the alternative suggested that they thought was So So Clever was to call everything ai produces "Artificially Generated", a term so vague it could apply to Literally Any Manmade Object

Idk how influential you are on the LT fandom on a Whole but you definitely inspired me to check out the originals, and especially appreciate Porky/Daffies more. It helps that my favorite short for years was Yankee Doodle Daffy!
AWWWWWWWWW THIS IS SO SWEET THAT IS 100% MY GOAL THANK YOU!! you don’t know HOW much this means to me!
i tend to stay away from fandom spaces/don’t consider myself a part of the fandom, so quite honestly your guess is as good as mine—i HOPE people think of me or associate me with these cartoons HAHAHAHA but 100%, my goal is to spread the joy of the originals and shed a light onto the people who made them and how their experiences and input inform the cartoons as a whole, and maybe how our perceptions of these shorts and characters have changed as time has gone on…
there’s no right or wrong way to enjoy the franchise, but i really do think it is a more fulfilling experience to Experience The Originals for yourself. i really enjoy talking about cartoons that are given less love from a mainstream angle and that 100% includes the Porkies and Daffies (and is also why i’m so adamant about spreading The Porky Gospel; he gets such a bad rap and is so underappreciated and every person i’ve spread my gospel about him to seems to really like or appreciate himself after HAHAHA. Daffy will always be my #1 favorite but he doesn’t really suffer from this, though i absolutely think his ‘40s persona gets a lot of misunderstanding as well)
THIS REALLY MEANS A LOT TO ME GENUINELY. making the plunge and checking out the cartoons is the best decision i’ve ever made. there’s a lot of rightful hesitancy to be had since there are SO many cartoons and it’s hard to find a starting point (and not to mention the many, many, many, many aspects that have aged poorly and/or were poor to begin with), but i can’t begin to tell you how fulfilling this experience has been.
so, if anyone who’s following me is cautious about making the plunge, i encourage you to give the originals a chance, ESPECIALLY if you’re into more modern LT media to familiarize yourself with the source material. you absolutely do not have to be a nut like me and watch every single in chronological order, but these cartoons are so ingrained and formative in the animation landscape today that i think anyone with an interest in animation should definitely give them a chance. and, if you’re a bit of a history nut like me, it’s very fun to see the evolution of culture as a whole as the years go on… radios evolve into TVs, the rambunctious attitudes of the shorts during the war years take a more domestic turn after the war, celebrity references depend on the decade, even the stylings of music, and of course the art styles of the shorts themselves… it’s so fascinating from a multitude of reasons. i really can’t tell you how happy i am to hear this (and Yankee Doodle Daffy is a GREAT favorite to have!)

if i had a nickel for every time while headcanoning character dynamics that don't exist much in canon, i ended up making the fan-favorite yaoi pairing instead a worryingly toxic friendship that's only hanging on by a thread, i would have two nickels but it's weird that it happened twice

To the people bringing back tired claims that bts made their success off being “carbon copies” of their 2nd gen contemporaries (because we all know bts’ debut music was what blew them up, right??), or my favorite, that we “can acknowledge their originality up to a certain point, but armys need to admit bts get inspiration from other artists”:
Congratulations, you are correct! Because guess what, nothing exists in a vacuum and you clearly have no idea what the process of art-making entails.
I don’t know whose reality I’m about to shatter when I say this but...artists study other artists *mind-blown* Except this isn’t news because you hear idols say all the time how they’re inspired by or look up to other peers in the industry all. of. the. time. But it’s cute when 4th gen idols say it and a crime when bts does it?
There’s a reason why art students are made to take art history classes. Yes, to study the greats, but also to know how artworks/artists exist & are informed by their situational context, i.e. time period, geography, politics, societal norms, etc. And why as you develop your body of work, professors will constantly point to references of other artists who work with similar themes, materials, and so forth because it can only help guide your artistic practice; it all becomes wisdom. But moreso, everything exists in conversation with each other. You can literally point to any song from any group and understand where they pulled their sound from in the larger tradition of musical instrumentation and composition.
I’m also convinced that the people saying bts are “copies” of bap, blockb, and bigbang have not familiarized themselves with the discographies of any of these artists at all (I really need people to listen to full albums and not just title tracks). Just because they’ve overlapped in genres, does not mean they sound the same. Blockb’s hiphop sound is very stylized and contrasts that which bts utilized. While both bts and blockb’s early music was very old school hiphop, hiphop is not a monolith; and the genre itself varies drastically depending on regionality like east coast/west coast (back then at least). And while we’re here, you’ve noticed that these other groups bts “copied” also got their inspiration from 90s American rap and hiphop, right? Same goes for r&b, trap, jazz and all these genres that have their roots in Western Black culture. Kpop borrows from everything. Also in an industry that heavily follows trends, you are going to find similarities among artists from time to time, that’s just how it goes.
Also, funny how y’all never bring up the way the entire kpop industry is trying to follow the bts model. It isn’t a coincidence that a bunch of fourth generation groups now have their own story line universes that are embedded into their mv’s, or how everyone is producing their own long-form, online variety content because they know that sustained audience engagement over time was part of the bts recipe for success (Top Social Artists, anyone?). Hey, remember that one time exo blatantly plagiarized a bts song? No? I figured. No outcry for them I guess. Plenty of kpop artists sample songs from other musicians--you see this a lot with girl groups, make covers of other singers, but they’re not profiting off someone else’s music are they? Yeah, same goes for bts.
Like I’m so sorry to break it to you, but saying that an artist takes inspiration from what is circulating in the cultural zeitgeist or from other musicians isn’t the burn you think it is. It’s literally just how you make art and study your craft.

NEW ART, HOT OFF THE PRESS - FULL SIZE BELOW THE JUMP
Just in time for the /r/GOAD smut war and I'm not even drawing smut! Look at me, being a contrarian.
This is a gift for the GOMM Holiday Exchange on Discord for @queenofthecute! Her prompt for the exchange was: "Aziraphale & Crowley and the intimate tenderness of a kiss on the hand/fingers/wrist," which I was only too happy to oblige. What a sweet prompt!
@queenofthecute, I hope you enjoy the final work as much as enjoyed painting it.
⬇️ FULL SIZE, detail shots, and more info below the jump. ⬇️
I LOVE painting Ultraginger Freckled Crowley (TM). It's frankly a sickness at this point.
I'm also learning how to efficiently paint certain things that I used to render totally by hand, and this piece let me practice several materials, namely gold metallics (Aziraphale's pinky ring and fob/chain) and silver metallics (Crowley's slutty little scarf).
About: Photoshop, Orig. 6491x4895;
Title from Nine Inch Nails' "Please", a track on The Fragile.
Breathe, echoing the sound
Time starts slowing down
Sink until I drown
Please, I don't ever want to make it stop
And it keeps repeating
Will you please complete me?

IF IT DON’T APPLY LET IT FLY. everybody’s chart is different, if you have any aspects or placements mentioned in this post that don’t resonate with you, that means the energy didn’t manifest the way that i described due to other influences in your chart (or you being delusional, idk, you decide). also, when i speak on certain signs i'm referring to their archetype and the innate energy they express. just be mindful that there's a variety of ways these energies can manifest from person to person.
disclaimers | masterlist | ask
y’all stay talking about how hard scorpios have it but y’all don’t talk about the struggles capricorns face. especially capricorn moons?? have y’all ever encountered a capricorn moon that wasn’t in therapy or didn’t desperately need it??? they be facing the most insane level of emotional distress and then turn around and pick up more shifts and start studying harder like that shit finna help lmfao
the discourse surrounding 8H synastry is... odd to me. i feel like some people (specifically the tumblr/tiktok girlies) are romanticizing trauma bonding. y’all can talk about how good the sex is all y’all want, but unless you and the person involved have a good amount of self-awareness and are spiritually evolved enough (especially if y'all have your own 8H placements in your own charts), i feel like you’re just setting yourself up to be in a “toxic” relationship with somebody. it could just be my aqua venus talking, but the whole “baring your soul” to someone and developing a possessive/jealous bond with them don't sound fun to me. i would rather perish.
everyone talks about how dramatic your saturn return is but why does no one bring up how traumatic your 12H profection years are? being 23 was literally one of the most unhinged experiences i’ve ever had
i be tryna advocate for geminis because i know they’re just lil creative mercurial sponges and wanna have enough knowledge to see everything from every side… but why do some of them act like that? and you know what i mean. especially the more “unevolved” gemini placements, they be doing the most insane level of mental acrobatics and be contrarian just for the sake of being contrarian
i have to say this as an 8H moon, i understand what y’all mean when y’all say 8H, scorpio, and plutonian placements usually face a lot of vitriol from others for no reason, but honestly, some of y’all be using that as a justification for being paranoid and manipulative. operating from a place of pain, assuming that everybody is out to get you, and being hyper-vigilant of people’s intentions isn’t the type of behavior anyone should be trying to normalize. let that hurt go pookie <3
i feel like this has been spoken about before but i’ll never understand why water signs are constantly stereotyped as the emotional crybabies of the zodiac but fire signs aren’t? water signs can definitely be sensitive and existential but prominent fire placements will literally lose their mind over the smallest shit and then be cool 10 minutes later… yes i’m looking at you aries
speaking of aries, can we address the way that they’re literally the toddlers of the zodiac and very much so behave like it? idk as a pisces i have a soft spot for them, i love their childlike, carefree spirit, and the way they be throwing tantrums for fun tickles me
this note doesn’t pertain particularly to signs/placements but astrology in general. i am begging y’all (specifically the people who are newer/beginners to astrology) to use traditional studies as a starting point and to stop taking notes from these tiktoks and tumblr posts. there are astrologers on these platforms who have done the work and studied (love y'all), but there are a plethora who haven’t. i saw a post the other day where somebody said squares/oppositions don’t indicate conflict in a chart and i felt like i was losing my damn mind. i definitely recommend the astrology podcast as a starting point for beginners, chris brennan is amazing and i still find myself re-listening to a lot of his content
i talked to one of my mutuals the other day about this, but astrology is such an amazing tool, and y’all should use it for so much more than self-validation. y’all do not need to have a certain venus placement to be considered pretty. y'all do not need certain mercury or uranus placements to be considered intelligent/creative. y’all do not have to rely on [insert random asteroid here] to know what your future spouse is gonna look like, when/where y’all are gonna meet, how they’re gonna perceive you, etc. etc. etc. i understand the hype around shit like that is due to social conditioning/constructs, but there are so many more important, relevant things you can learn about yourself through astrology that don’t revolve around "aesthetics"
the girls are gonna hate me for this one, but i don’t understand the hype around lilith. and i say this as someone with a tight sextile between my sun and BML. there’s three versions of it, two of which don’t even technically exist, and then there’s a mean/true version that affects the accuracy. if anyone has more knowledge than me on the subject feel free to give me your input, because i feel like the insane amount of attention lilith gets has to do more with the whole “dark feminine archetype” trend that the tiktok/tumblr girlies love and less to do with its relevance from an astrology/astronomical lens (i feel this way about most asteroids honestly, but we’ll wake up that tea another time)
i don’t wanna get dragged so imma end this here, as always let me know if y’all have any aspects/placements mentioned and tell me how they manifest in your life/personality! and if you have any insight feel free to let me know as well. and don’t be messy. you will be blocked expeditiously. <3

I really enjoy looking at this still from Slay the Princess:
In the midst of all the weird imagery from the first part of the Stranger route, you see for a moment—and it is cut off at the end, so I had to be quick with my screenshot—every route laid out in front of you, paired up as the game does elsewhere, and described, interestingly enough, from what I can only believe is the Voices' perspectives, or perhaps the relationship between the Princess and the Voice of a given route.
Consumption: The Beast (Hunted), the ribcages in the bottom right. Being eaten, alive or half so, is one way or another the outcome you face in the Beast. This one seems to be the least connected to its route's Voice, though I can still see it in a relational sort of way.
Betrayal: The Witch (Opportunist), the nail-studded... I can't tell what it is, but it's at the top left. Betrayal on your part is the cause of the Witch's route, and it too is inevitable in some form once you're on that route—the Opportunist is very vocal about it.
Skepticism: The Prisoner (Skeptic), the chains at the bottom. Pretty clear analogue given the name of the Voice, but not to neglect—you reach the Prisoner by taking the blade (distrust of the Princess) but ultimately using it to free the Princess (you take the time to think critically about what you're being asked to do, and decide the Narrator is less trustworthy).
Blind devotion: The Damsel (Smitten), the... I can only imagine locks of hair at the top. You reach the Damsel by immediately and wholly assuming she has no ill intentions, an attitude made manifest in the Smitten.
Rivalry: The Adversary (Stubborn), the spikes to the left. The Adversary route is, so long as you embrace it, about your probably-a-metaphor-for-sex-I-mean-the-Eye of the Needle-isn't-even-trying-to-veil-it eternal fight with the Adversary, with the Stubborn in strong support.
Submission: The Tower (Broken), the stone columns to the right. One of the most clear-cut "this is about the Voice" examples—the Broken has completely submitted to the Tower's will, even though the player still has a few chances to resist her.
Terror: The Nightmare (Paranoid), the eyes in the upper right. Of course, the Nightmare is all about fear, and the Paranoid is the embodiment of your fear of the Princess—the fear that made you lock her in the basement and the fear that stopped your heart when she broke free.
Longing: The Spectre (Cold), the wisps in the bottom left. This one is interesting, and almost made me second-guess my "Voices" reading, as the Spectre herself is clearly a creature of longing—but then what about "Submission?" The Tower is not "submitting" to anything. That's her whole deal. Perhaps this one is connected to your desire for something other than what the Narrator calls the "Good Ending..." or perhaps it has something to do with the Cold's interest in feeling something, which he expresses in a few routes (the Greys being the most obvious).
Pain: The Razor (Cheated,) the spikes at the top. She skewers you, and you die. Over and over again she skewers you, and you die, and it is painful over and over again. I'm not sure I have much to add to this one.
Unfamiliarity: The Stranger (Contrarian), the abstract DNA-like strand at the bottom. You reach the Stranger by refusing to interact with the Princess, leaving her an unfamiliar blank slate whose actions you cannot predict and thus fracture into every possible image of her.
And at the heart of it all, an emotion that can only be described as—what? The Narrator doesn't get the chance to finish his sentence before you wake up in the Prisoner's basement, but I'd think the answer is obvious once you've finished the game.
After all, this is a love story.
