I have another idea, but it would be a spoiled and clingy Princess with her dear childhood friend. I now have no way of elaborating on this idea, other than a Princess - 💙☺
Ooo, this is interesting because I have mentioned a few times about a Knight OC I never posted - maybe if I ever end up posting him, there could be some kind of crossover with him and the Princess? Idk lol Dead Dove Extended Universe confirmed
Anyway, I hope this is okay!! I really like historical stuff, especially Mediaeval and Victorian era my university dissertation was about Mediaeval monks and how their handwriting influenced modern letterforms and typography so this was very fun to write!!

OC Intro - Her Royal Highness, The Princess Theophania
Royal Yandere
Female ♡ 24 ♡ Human ♡ Princess
TW: Stalking, obsession, abuse of power, implied murder, reader is gender neutral as far as I could manage but it was kind of difficult since nobility titles and servant titles were very much gendered in the middle ages
♡ - You were fortunate - your mother working as a chambermaid in the castle and you being born around the same time as the princess meant that unlike most people who weren’t nobility, you got to spend time with Theophania.
♡ - You were childhood friends. Whenever she had a spare moment not taken up by her education, she’d run down to find you, and you’d both play whatever games you could think of until some tutor or the Queen dragged her off again.
♡ - She’d always smile at you, and even as children, as you looked at each other, you couldn’t help but wonder - what was the difference between royalty and the common folk? Why were they kept so separate?
♡ - As time went on and you both grew older, however, you two were kept separate more and more, the King finding it unbecoming that the princess spent her time with a commoner. Eventually, it got to the point where you never saw her anymore as she was kept locked away, learning the responsibilities that came with royalty.
♡ - It wasn’t until you were grown, and took up working as a servant yourself, that you saw her again - a banquet, held in honour of her reaching the age were she was ready to be married. You were stunned by her beauty as she stepped into the grand hall, luminous before all the guests. You doubted that she even remembered you existed.
♡ - But Theophania never forgot - as her eyes scanned the hundreds of people looking at her, she recognised you almost immediately even though you’d changed so much since you were children. She never forgave anyone that she’d been torn from you, and now she had influence of her own as a fully fledged royal, she was determined to use it to get to you.
♡ - The King brought in many suitors for Theophania to court, each bringing lavish gifts of fine silks, gold, furs, jewels, rare spices and fruits from the East, myrrh from the Holy Land, or rare texts, all in hopes of winning Theophania over. Knights, nobles, princes and kings from other kingdoms all came to try their luck at being betrothed to Theophania, but all were rejected.
♡ - Theophania was determined her marriage shouldn’t be one of political convenience. She wanted a love match, and she wanted you, but she knew the King would never allow her to marry a commoner. So she had to get creative.
♡ - There was a great deal of controversy and outrage when, out of nowhere, she asked for you to serve as her chamberlain, getting rid of her old one. You could hardly believe it yourself - did she really remember you?
♡ - You struggled to get used to your new duties, helping her get dressed, stoking fires to keep her warm, bringing her things to eat, cleaning her chambers, yet she was very forgiving of you when you did make a mistake. She never mentioned the time you spent together as children, though, making you wonder if she really did recall.
♡ - More suitors tried for her hand in marriage, and the King was becoming impatient, ready to begin forcing her to marry one. But that’s when they began to mysteriously die.
♡ - Everytime a new suitor came, he was discovered the next morning, dead. No one could work out how they died, and rumours began to spread that the Princess was cursed.
♡ - The many gifts from her dead suitors stayed stashed in her room, and after spying you admiring them, she gave you a wicked smile, and offered them to you. You declined at first - it was illegal for a commoner to own such finery, and besides, you couldn’t have read any of the book anyway with no education of your own. But Theophania insisted.
♡ - She fed you sweetmeats and quinces and fruit dusted in beautiful spices the likes of which you’d never tasted. She draped you in furs when you were cold and silks when you were warm and demanded that anyone who objected leave you alone before they were executed. She patiently sat next to you, teaching you how to read and scribe with a quill, so that you could be educated.
♡ - Little by little, you began to look less like a servant and more like a noble - completely changing over the course of months.
♡ - Suddenly, the King mysteriously began to get ill, a terrible sickness worsening with each passing day. It looked as though he may die soon - but Theophania was oddly calm.
♡ - With no brothers to speak of, nor a husband, she’d be next to inherit the throne, and as the King became too weak to rule, she had to take on the mantle of Regent Queen, making her the most powerful in the Kingdom.
♡ - With no one left to challenge her, she turns to you, a saccharine smile on her face. “My beloved servant - Now I am Queen, how would you like to be gifted a Dukedom?”
♡ - After all, she couldn’t marry a commoner - but nobility was more than acceptable.

Apollo's celebrations in a nut shell:
[ @trans-hypn0-slut have some information on Apollo days! Enjoy!]
Pyanopsia
"a festival in honour of Apollo, held at Athens on the seventh day of the month of Pyanopsion (October)"
This festival was brought about by Theseus, who promised Apollon a festival/feast if he were to defeat the Minotaur and safely travel to Attica from Delos.
Traditionally, it was celebrated with offerings of meals, jars of honey, olive oil, or laurel. In modern day, we can still use those things as offerings for Apollo. It is encouraged to sing hymns, read his myths, and create an eiresione for the festivities.
Tumblr media
Theophania
"The Theophania were intended as a celebration of the return of Apollo to Delphi from which he was believed to be absent during the winter months."
This festival is not widely known about, simply because there isn't much information about it either! Given its context, it can be assumed that Theophania was generally honoring and welcoming Apollo to Delphi from his time away. This is believed to be celebrated on March 21st, the Spring Equinox, with his departing date on December 21st, the Winter Solstice.
Traditionally, it appears that the festival was mostly about displaying an image of Apollo in a sanctuary to worshippers. Today, we can celebrate with fresh offerings, revamping his altar, and perhaps communing with Apollon if he allows it.
Tumblr media
Thargelia
"The Athenian Thargelia festival dedicated to both Artemis and Apollo is most famous for picking two scapegoats (φάρμακοι) that were driven out of town to rid it of sins and plagues."
This festival is Artemis and Apollo's birthday, celebrated on the 7th day of Thargelion (May 7th). Though, for clarification, Artemis is actually celebrated on the 6th.
Traditionally, sources say that on the 6th negativity is to be driven out. On the 7th, positivity and goodness is brought in! Disease seems to be a focus during Thargelia, as well as being thankful for Apollo in general. Purification is deeply rooted in this holiday, so in modern day cleansing and feasting can be done. More information on modern festivities can be found in the references!

From a Nation’s Ashes || World State
With no nobles left to vie for power, the civil war was snuffed out unceremoniously. In the place of the monarchy, a council of several leaders informed by dozens of qualified advisors shouldered the task of governing Last Haven. The First Council was largely assembled from whoever was present in the capital, available, and felt up to the task (including Theophania, Avery, and – surprising some – Frank). Esmee and Yuliya stayed on as advisors to help get the government off the ground. Vee positioned herself as an advisor on matters of health and public safety, and Harriet offered what guidance she could to the council as well.
The Demon King ended up sending Manami herself to be his representative in Last Haven. While this was reflexively met with mistrust and scrutiny from the populace at first, her public status as the assassin who ended Calum IV’s disastrous reign eventually won over the common folk (and the more reticent councilors). She conveyed the Demon King’s decrees to the council whenever it was required, and did her part to ensure the city stayed a neighbor her beloved ruler could stand. Which, funnily enough, also had the effect of generally making it a better place to live. She also brought the Demon King’s announcement of a new name for the unified territory. No longer would this land be known by the combined names of its extinct ruling line. Now, Last Haven belonged to the Arisen Kingdom.
Once Last Haven’s government had been firmly established for a couple of years and was running smoothly, Theophania and Avery ceded their positions to live more private lives, and Esmee and Yuliya similarly departed. Their replacements, and all subsequent councilors, were elected by popular vote. Anyone with relevant expertise could volunteer or be called upon to advise. With no noble families to snatch up all the seats, it became a government of tradespeople, working witches, idealists, and of course Incarnates.
At peace, real peace, for the first time in hundreds of years, the shattered kingdom slowly, finally, began to mend. The wealth hoarded by the nobles was repurposed and put to more practical uses, such as rebuilding the damaged parts of Last Haven and improving the living conditions of those in the surrounding shantytowns. The nobles’ land, too, was divided among those who needed it more. Magical conveniences became even more widely accessible, now that the bulk of the nation’s craftspeople and witches were no longer dedicated to the all-consuming war effort. Initiatives to restore Calamity’s blighted and barren wastelands slowly began to bear fruit.
In the aftermath of Calamity’s fall and rebuild, one Felyn’mice formerly Arkanana had a lot of work to do. The conflict between the nobles had only inflated the number of Bound. That meant more people who would be in need of her service. Being very aware of the Demon King’s original desire for her death, and coming off a stint in an unpleasant (though not horrible) prison, Felyn had absolutely no desire to stay in Hivemount after her release. She quickly made her way back to Calamity, but not without taking the information that Hivemount had gathered on their own Bound with her.
It was a life’s work, a work of five hundred years of successive scientists really, that allowed for Bound to be returned to their original afterlife. Felyn dedicated herself to it thoroughly. Without having to play politics with the nobles and with proper funding and resources, the project expanded. By the end of Felyn’s long career, they would have a method of saving even the Lost Bound, though it was much trickier than the initial method. It was lucky too, that a number of spirit summoners had been willing to take up her work, training under her to learn the desummoning process. Summoning was, after all, a vital part of transmuting one’s soul through to another world. Soon enough, the method became widely known. Bound came from all over the country to end their curse, though not all Bound chose such an ending. There would always be those that chose to stay until they were Lost. But soon, that too would be treatable. It was only after cleaning up its own mess that this place could truly heal, after all.
Once even Lost Bound could be freed, the population steadily expanded once more into areas long deemed too hostile to occupy. This task ensured there was still demand for adventurers and mercenaries (native, foreign, and Incarnate) even as the peace held. The Solitude Plains, the northern wastes near the former border… even the great swamps became more habitable with the release of the many tormented souls that once wandered there. By the Demon King’s decree, Incarnates were given leave to establish settlements where they pleased within these newly revived lands.
Felyn’s hard work benefited the Arisen Kingdom diplomatically as well. With Lost Bound no longer a threat to neighboring countries, previously frosty relations started to slowly warm. The Dwarven Lands began to trade with the people of Last Haven again, and even allowed some intrepid Incarnates to venture into the country and secure the trade routes against the region’s many dangerous monsters. Tal’nula was slow to discard its grievances, but with their political ally the Demon King in control, they eventually came around as well.
With the war over, the Demon King found new, more diplomatic posts for his other generals, much like he had for Manami. Through their efforts, Hivemount, on the northern coast, became a hub for international maritime shipping and commerce. Should the adventurous among you ever grow tired of exploring the continent they were summoned to, now they have a gateway to the rest of this world.
Even in more peaceful times, Bound progressions could still happen. Very rarely, they could even shake out as so useful they offset their own downsides - as was the case for Manami. Not only did a certain incident trigger the re-unlocking of her old Desire Domain, but the following progression rather literally Split the Difference with the one you'd known her as having. Any of you who had personal dealings with her, or were still on speaking terms, would quickly find out she had two spiritually-linked bodies now - with no fixed upper limit to how far apart they could be! One more strongly connected to Desire, the other Glitch, functionally enabling her to be in two places at once. It was rather useful for her considering all the new responsibility she’d taken on in both Hivemount and Last Haven, and slightly terrifying to imagine the sort of havoc two Manamis flitting around could cause. Or, as they'd come to be known for ease of differentiating between the red one and blue one, Mana and Nami.
The little Cocoon charm you knew was in their possessions might have raised some alarms for the potential mischief she might get up to. But that would probably be fine. The two bodies might have been a little jarring, but despite everything, she was still her. She would always be receptive to entertaining you as guests in her home in Hivemount - not as delegates, but as friends.
Her reputation as a kingslayer was well-established. Manami had dealt the decisive blow against Calamity that kickstarted the final days of the war. There were rumors, whispers from conspiracy theorists that King Calum’s death had been an inside job. But that was ridiculous. Germain and Manami both were committed to making sure the rumors stayed just that - silly, easily dismissed rumors.
There were other rumors too. That the elusive Bound living next to Manami’s Hivemount home was a former royal agent of Calamity (they never denied this). That they were one of the heroes who’d been a thorn in the Demon King’s side centuries ago (nonsense). They didn’t have an official title, but from the messenger birds leaving their home for  the Demon King’s castle or Last Haven, they must’ve been doing some work for the people upstairs. On the occasions that they were at home, and they weren’t occupied with the Demon King’s bothersome delegate clipping through their walls, Germain told the truth (... mostly).
They questioned whether Manami’s frequent visits were a bumbling attempt to spy on them, or simply the nature of their unconventional friendship (maybe some mix of the two), but they entertained her all the same, and any other guests (though they didn’t expect particularly many). Their chains broken, they were frequently on the road, eager to embrace their newfound freedom, yet grateful for a home in Hivemount. Germain had picked up writing again, in their free time. As an adventurer, Germain took it upon themself to ensure leadership was kept apprised of the situation across the nation in detailed, if sporadic, reports. The last regime had forgotten that there was a world outside of Last Haven. Germain would help this one remember.
They had no desire to stay in the city that had restrained them for so long. They didn’t feel the same tugging on their chain, obligating them to help. But they still wanted to play their part, however small. They’d always seen Calamity as broken beyond fixing. But as they wandered, they saw the Arisen Kingdom’s people living happier, safer lives. At home in Hivemount, they saw the walls between old enemies slowly, but gradually, breaking down. They were beginning to understand. This was the world their old friends had hoped to create. The world their new friends brought into being.

theophania for the ask game!
Okay! So a bit of world building-
Theophania is an avian, which is like a human but with bird-like shins and wings and fangs and venom. Avians are like neanderthals in that they are a sister species of humanity. In this world the gods (Particularly Thoth, Horus, Isis, Apollo, Artemis, and Athena) actively shaped the evolution of avians and are sort of parental towards them, being especially involved in their cities and such in ways that they are not with humanity.
Theophania is a RavenWing- she's similar it a raven and has raven wings (but you could tell that) and she likes shinies and is very smart. When she was little she had just the WORST parents. Just. SO BAD. So she ended up running away to the temple of Thoth, and he took her in as his own.
She has brown skin, dark brown curly hair, and is pretty tall for her age (17, considered the Avian age of majority, when they begin to separate from their parents)
She has a higher than average tolerance for Divine Power- most people can't enter the inner sanctuary of the temple without feeling sick- she lives there.
She's very protective of Annithaca (Annie), who she views as a little sister (ask about her hehe) who is 13. Her other best friend is Alex, (him too hehe).
She's gay, but then most avians are. (Population break down 50% Bi 20% gay 20% ace 10% straight)
She has a little brother who was adopted at birth. She would DIE for him.
But then he goes missing! So she and Annie and Alex go on a mission to find the little 2 year old, and they do, in a cave radiating anger. They bring him back to the temple of Thoth - only he's gone. And so are all the other Avian gods.
With avians being a mainly pacifist species, the absence of the gods means the city is practically undefended. It's up to Theophania (Phana), Annie, and Alex (with her little brother along for the ride) to find the gods and try to stop the impending attack from whatever being lives in the cave.

TW: Stalking, obsession, murder, love spell attempt
Theophania stalked through the castle, the cold stone piercing through her bare feet. Before, she would have never have been allowed to go anywhere alone - but at night, and as Reagent Queen, no one could stop her. She looked ghostly as she made her way to where she knew he’d be - one of the last obstacles between her possessing, owning you, a far greater treasure than any spice or gold. Her chest heaved with heavy breath, her eyes fixed on a far away point with a devotional look, seeing but not looking as she stalked into the Great Hall, where he’d be. As she entered, she saw she was right - there he was. She’d overheard him talking to you earlier that day, arranging, or perhaps coercing you into, marrying his child. And for what? All so he could take advantage and try to build some political power. Theophania would have admired his cunning plan to get closer to her had he not taken advantage of you in the first place. Now, Theophania had to put things right.
“It is late,” Theophania said, alerting the man to her presence. He whipped his head around from where he sat at the long, empty table, eating bread.
“Princess -“
“I have been made Queen in my father’s illness. You’d do well to address me as such.”
“Of course. My apologies, Your Majesty,” he said, quickly standing so he could bow properly. Theophania’s face did not move.
“Tell me,” she said, stepping closer. “Is it not my divine right to rule this kingdom?”
“Of course it is, Your Majesty.” Theophania took another step.
“And is it not, therefore, my right to own and do with anything in the kingdom as I see fit?”
“Of course. No one can challenge you, Your Majesty.” Another step closer.
“And if one were to impede my will, and prevent my orders and desires from being carried out, should they be punished?”
“Absolutely, Your Majesty.” Yet another step.
“How should they be punished?”
“They should be put to death, Your Majesty. Executed.” A final step. Theophania was mere inches away from him now.
“It is fortunate you agree. There shall be no qualms.” Theophania withdrew the dagger from her sleeve, a long, lethal blade as sharp as an adder’s tongue, and slit his throat. He clutched, scratched at it, screaming like a slaughtered pig. As he bled out, collapsing to his knees as he died, Theophania calmly gathered some of his blood in a small vial, hastily corking it before dashing out of the hall and instead, making her way to the servant’s quarters, where you slept. She slipped in, as silent as a shadow on the wall, finding your bed and tiptoeing closer and closer to it. She smiled as she saw you sleeping peacefully, readying yourself in your dreams for another day of serving her. She wasted no more time. She took out a bag of herbs and the vial of blood, whispering prayers to it a love charm. Witchcraft was forbidden, but she knew nobody could stop her even if they knew she’d done it. She was Queen. She was all powerful. She dropped some blood onto the love charm, soaking the little bag of herbs, before tying it to your bedposts, right over top of your head, ready to turn all your dreams of work and mundanity into dreams of her. With her sordid work done, she slipped away again.

Made a few edits to Theophania's character sheet! Added more details, and also made her skin a little darker since I didn't notice how pale she looked compared to her clothes.
About Theophania: Theophania is an angel, the lowest of the angel hierarchy and acts as a messenger for God. She's kindhearted, gentle and very optimistic, however she is inattentive and a bit of a slacker. Because of this, she was assigned a tutor, Archangel Laius, by her division leader Dominion Orestes. Ever since God's disappearance, she has struggled to remain optimistic and is heavily affected by what has been plaguing Heaven. You can read more about her here.

The Fires of Salvation || Theophania's Regeneration
In the time between her third death and her awakening as a Bound, Theophania had a dream. For the first time, without Esmee’s assistance, she dreamed of home. In her dream, she walked through the warm halls of the Valentine estate. Like most dreams, she didn’t feel in control, she didn’t even know it was a dream, but she had a mission. To find her parents. To see them once more.
As expected, her dream could only end tragically. She found them, in her father’s study, her father’s arm wrapped around her mother as they both shed quiet tears. She screamed for them to hear her, to look at her, but they didn’t.
They looked right through her. Invisible even to the ones she cherished most. No matter how hard she screamed, they would not look at her. They couldn’t see her. Nobody could.
In life, Theophania never would have admitted it, but her greatest fear was being alone. Her most miserable moments were spent in solitude, and this nightmare was no different. Her heart screamed out for somebody to notice her, for someone to save her, but just like in her life as Tiffany…
But nobody came…
There was no one, and nothing, but her own wretched self. No one to rely on. No one to protect her.
If no one would stay with her, then…

She let out a noise somewhere between a giggle and a gasp. If she’d known it would feel this good, she would’ve died so much sooner. That little bit of pain, that emotional voice screaming out at her to get ahold of herself, was easy enough to stifle and ignore. This sort of power was more than she ever could’ve dreamed of while alive. A searing flame threatening to engulf her if she wasn’t careful.
But it was fine. She was Theophania Rosette Valentine. She could wield this power with ease.
I don’t want to. I don’t want to be like this.
With every death, she had only grown more and more perfect. What did she have to fear? She would embrace this new power of hers with grace befitting of a queen. Now then…
Just what were the others up to?
