Spy X Family AU
So! Jack Fenton is a Super Spy/Scientist who is working on a mission to investigate Amity Park. The Government has put an Information Blackout on the entire Town, so he has been assigned to infiltrate the town. When he discovers that the town is contaminated with Ectoplasm, he asks to stay there to study the Stuff.
Maddie Fenton is an Assasin who used to work for the League of Assasins, right under Talia, before she deserted the League and ran away. She ran to Amity Park because of how secluded it was, and began working as a Mercenary Assasin to make a living. She is also a Scientist who discovered Ectoplasm and wanted to study it because it reminded her of Lazarus.
They meet while studying Ectoplasm and use eachother to cement their Cover Stories (and get a new study partner).
Jazz in the child Jack adopted from a nearby Orphanage so he could blend in with a "Normal Father" Facade. She is a Liminal with Telepathic Abilities who knows everything about the other two, but keeps it a secret because she wants to psochoanalyze them. Her real parents are unknown, but that's what's fun about making your own AU, you can mess around with it.
Danny is the dog.
Just kidding, Danny is actually a Hybrid child between a Human and a Ghost who was left on Jack and Maddies doorstep as a Kid. They understood what he was immediately and took him in so he wouldn't be taken and experimented on by the GIW, pretending that he was a normal kid (and forgetting to tell him that he is a Ghost to begin with)
He doesn't even know he is a Hybrid for a while, until an accident in the Lab when he is 5 results in discovering his Ghost Form but thinking he just straight up died and brought himself back. Oh and he can see the Future sometimes, just to throw that in there.
I wonder who the Ghostly Father of this Hybrid child who can see into the future and is very powerful? Surely not the Ghost who deals with time and is also very powerful? Sure, absolutely impossible...
Anyways, thoughts on the AU?

Prompt 259
You know, going back in time, they thought it would be easy. Stop the end of the world by preventing the Being from well, coming into being. It should be easy to take them out, one death to prevent an untold amount of them. What could a child do?
Well.
They really should have remembered that with a child usually comes their parent as well. And erm, said parent doesn’t seem to appreciate their logic. In fact, they are… getting their ass kicked. By a civilian. A feral civilian who apparently is very protective of said child-who-ends-up-destroying-the-world.
They might need assistance…

Memento Mori - DPxDC
What was beyond death. Was there anything at all? Was there nothing?
That was what he always wondered.
When Clark was a child, he looked up to his fictional hero: Danny Phantom. A half-dead guy in a comic book series that led to the most bisexual awakenings in the century.
Clark liked to go back and reread the comic books from Issue #1 (they were fairly short, but all parts of an “episode”, almost like those ads on shows, but the wait time was every two weeks). He tended to read them all in one sitting, and yet oddly enough, never disturbed as he murmured the made-up summoning spell under his breath.
He could’ve sworn he had been going through them for over an hour and not twenty minutes.
It was Phantom who inspired him to continue being Superman in his darkest moments. He also considered himself physical proof that Danny’s palette swap was enough to hide his identity.
The glasses ARE enough.
When Clark found out he had a clone, he was ecstatic to be able to teach Conner anything everything, to answer any questions his little brother had.
Danielle “Dani” Phantom and her awaited return in “Issue #46 D-stabilized” caused him to become a mama bear to Conner out of the fear he would melt within a few weeks. But it wasn’t like anyone at the Watchtower had to know that small detail.
Getting married to Lois was the best day of his life, the day of Jon’s birth also fighting for that first place spot in his mind.
He had a clone brother, a wonderful wife, a beautiful son, and an amazing group of friends that work together to protect the planet he calls home.
But everything started to fall apart when a protest against metas took it too far, Jon’s powers started to develop and he was seen accidentally tripping, falling, and catching himself by hovering a few inches above the pavement.
Jon said he considered himself lucky nothing scarred. He laughed everything off when it came to the topic.
But it shook Clark, Lois, and Conner to the core.
Memento mori.
It reminded Superman that despite his impenetrable skin, Death can come at any moment. Even for him.
—————————
When Danny was a little boy, he dreamt of reaching the stars, he wanted to be able to touch the moon, explore Mars, and roam the galaxy he resides in and beyond.
He read these comic books of a league of heroes, a team with space cops, super powered humans, a man dressed in a bat suit that was more effective at capturing rogues and villains than some of the powered members, aliens, and so much more.
He flipped through the weekly published comics, learning to read better than most at a young age. He had two favorites, Superman and Martian Manhunter.
Danny wanted to explore the stars like his heroes. He wanted to be able to fight as well as the big Bat. He wanted superpowers. He wanted to help people. He wanted to fight his own set of supervillains. He wanted to be able to succeed and be loved.
Oh how he got everything he wanted but the last.
Tucker and Sam were the only reason he hadn’t broken yet, the reason he was still standing.
The anti-ecto acts, the GIW, Vlad, Pariah Dark, and his- Jack and Maddie’s sadistic comments about ghosts were the last straw.
The hero always wins… they don’t die to the evil they want to stop… right..?
Right..?
The sound of a scraping scalpel, the buzz of the lights, and the squeals of pleasure - as his ghostly heart was found again and again and prodded again and again - filled his ears for an unknown length of time.
His cries for help were never answered until a summoning pulled at his core, it was a personal calling, someone had managed to find his calling card.
The tears of relief stung his eyes as the dissection table with his body strapped down to it was sucked into a summons portal.
He was spat out in front of kids, most likely teenagers, due to the shrieks of horror and surprise.
Oh… oh how he prayed to the Ancients that he’d live to see another day as a tears slipped out of his eyes.
Memento mori.
——————————
Jon found out about his comic book collection and wanted to show Damian.
Clark hummed as he typed up an official report on a rogue attack to send to the Watchtower.
His blood ran cold when he heard his son scream from over in Gotham.

I want Batman to visit Amity Park. Whether it’s because of Vlad Masters or the supernatural energy there, as long as it’s not the Fenton’s I want him to visit
I want Bruce to go out during the night for his investigation only to see Danny sitting near the trees, lazy as he threw a ball for a glowing green dog over and over.
I want Bruce to stop, to hold, cease and just pause. Not because of the glowing dog that may or may not be a part of his investigation but because of how Danny looks to him.
He looks like the child he brought to the manor who experienced depression at an early age from the murder of his parents. He looks like his kind-hearted child who would look longing at certain times, longing when he still believed in the magic of his name. He looks like his daughter who was talented and strong but would hold the weight of the world if a life was taken under her protection. He looks like his tired son who would always take on the burden of working hard to gain the approval that he already has. He looks like his son who would stare out in space thinking of the parents that have yet to heal. He looks like his son who seems lost with the world around him at times because of how different he was raised from the rest.
He looks like a child that needs saving.
Despite how his children would tease him, how Alfred would probably drawl “another one sir?”, or how the dog was connected to his investigation in some way (that green glow was not natural) he did not leave.
Instead, he walked towards the boy, footsteps loud as to announce his presence.
That was the start of their nightly meetings.
(I want a slow story of Batman meeting Danny. I don’t want Danny to be in trouble or be in danger in beginning or for Batman to suspect him in any way. I want a natural meeting of the two that slowly progress from there, from Danny seeking comfort from this man cloaked in shadows and Bruce slowly thinking of Danny as his.
I want Bruce to be stressed out by the fact about the supernatural things that happen in Amity, how Master’s has a secret lab basement below his house, and the ghost that haunts Amity on a daily. I want him to feel the annoyance and massive headache it is to deal with the supernatural of all things, but the moment he sees Danny sitting in the shadows of the trees waiting for him all of his worries just, disappear.
I want Danny to feel the weight of being the new Ghost King and the responsibilities that it holds. He would love the perk of fewer attacks from Amity but he still has to deal with the responsibilities of being a King, the adding factor of many of the ghosts he meets all seem to fear him like Pariah Dark, and how his parents were becoming more unbearable by the day. I need him to feel the weight of his identity catching up to him every day, but the moment the moon is up and he sees a man with a bat suit he can’t help but relax a little, his core letting out a happy hum.
I want the two to become family on their own terms before everything goes to shit.
I want a bond before the danger.
I don’t want a hero protecting a victim or a young hero looking for help. I want a single father and a struggling boy to find each other and meet halfway.)

So if you’re new to the Danny Phantom fandom whether that be because you have joined us via a crossover, the new graphic novel coming out or just somehow got hooked into this fandom there are a few things you should know.
90% of content you will see is purely fanon lore.
I’m gonna divide this into two different sections, going over what is canon and then the most common things from fanon.
So if you go by the show, we have at least three different kinds of ghosts. We have ones like the Fright Knight who is a spirit formed from the feelings and beliefs of people surrounding the thoughts of Halloween and we have ones who were once humans like Sidney Poindexter and Desiree. There are also some who are the product of two different ghosts like Box Lunch. We technically also have the Ancients, but we don’t know anything about them except that they existed many years ago and then they enclosed Pariah Dark in the Sarcophagus of Forever sleep.
We know that a high concentration of ectoplasm introduced very quickly can causes human to turn into a half ghost. This happened with Danny at least 3 times, and the accident Vlad had (as well as Jack in an alternate timeline). Danny was changed twice by the portal and then once by being blasted by a bunch of ectoplasm.
In canon, the Fenton parents are very loving parents with just a bit of absent mindedness to them that leads to them missing the obvious signs that something is up with Danny. Every time in the show that he is exposed to them, he is accepted by them entirely. Even when in an alternate timeline where his parents never got together, he is accepted by them.
In canon, Jazz started out not knowing how to help Danny, Tucker and Sam, but it is shown in the show that she trains to be better later on. She still calls the ghosts by things she designated them as though, not how they would like to be called.
In canon, Vlad is awful. He regularly tries to Hamlet the main character. He tried to ruin/kill Jack to get with Maddie and make their kids his kids many, many times. He cloned a child, gaslit the clones into thinking he cared for them and then planned to melt them down to have his “perfect son”. In canon of the show, Vlad is not redeemable. (This sorta changes a bit in the graphic novel, but it’s a toss up whether that is actually considered active canon or if it’s its own canon now.)
In canon, Tucker is a genius after he was forced to sit through 12 hours of study programming. In canon, he is the reincarnation of a Pharaoh. He can speak a made-up language, Esperanto, and can hack into nearly every piece of tech he comes across.
In canon, Sam is obsessed with all things goth and so has tomes about magical beings and artifacts. She is athletic and is always ready to throw down. She only has plant powers in the episode “Urban Jungle”.
Now onto the Fanon, at least the most popular headcanons that I have come across.
The most common thing among the fandom is that Danny is half-dead. Some have him a ghost possessing his own corpse. Some have him be Schrodinger’s boy. Some have him have lower vitals or just no vital signs altogether. He is said to have died and not come back all the way or right. Common things have him be cold to the touch, a lower heart rate, and him forgetting to breathe entirely.
Probably the second most common headcanon is that Danny is the Ghost King after having fought and defeated Pariah Dark in single combat. Ways he takes the throne are varied, everything from him being forcibly put onto the throne and unable to go to the human world, to having to name Jazz or Maddie as regent until he reaches either human or ghostly majority, to him taking the throne but it being more of a figurehead thing. Most stories will have him have a plethora of titles and names he goes by. Along with this he now has a lair inside the Zone, most have him taking over Pariah’s Keep and some do have him have his own new lair.
Another popular headcanon is Ancient of Space or the Balance Danny (going with AGIT, the balance actually is now canon). These lead to things like Danny having an eldritch form. Something that is obviously “other” and hurts to perceive.
Both of these result in an OP Danny and probably around half of them will have him stuck at 14 and/or functionally immortal.
Another very common DP headcanon is Bad Fenton Parents and that their research caused the GIW’s formation. Alongside that come the most common type of fic you will come across which is where Danny has been captured by either the GIW or his parents and then is vivisected. Majority of them will have him vivisected by his own parents. Many of them will have them be varying levels of neglectful, from just not noticing things about their kids to straight up forgetting they were there and Jazz having to take care of them both.
In most fanon, the GIW are actively trying to genocide an entire species. This is closest to a canon thing considering that they did try to nuke the GZ, which would have resulted in their universe also collapsing. The things that some people write/draw for the atrocities the GIW and Bad!Fentons are things that I bring up to my therapist frequently. Be prepared for descriptive gore.
There are a few characters that have spawned in fanon that are widely accepted as canon characters now. The main one is Wes Weston along with his brother Kyle. Wes Weston was a background character that we see for about 3 frames in one episode, but he looked similar to Danny and had green eyes and the fandom latched onto that. It started out with someone claiming the A-listers would think that Wes is Phantom because he’s athletic, had the same build and green eyes. From there, the fandom has decided that he also is the only person to figure out that Danny was Phantom and tries frequently to expose him. Kyle Weston is Wes’ older brother, in the same class as Jazz and he doesn’t believe that ghosts are real and is played for gags a lot.
Another major piece of fanon lore is ghost cores. This stems from a remark Frostbite said talking about Danny’s core temperature and the fans took it and ran with it. In fanon there’s all kinds of different types of ghost cores, usually an element or an aspect of existence. Many have Danny possess an ice core, in some he has a space core. Others take his “death” into consideration and believe him to have an electric core. Commonly people have Vlad have a fire core. Usually cores are an orb that a ghost can retreat into to heal. If the core is shattered, the ghost is ended and no longer exists in any capacity.
Similar to cores is obsessions. These are essentially the purpose of the ghost, their drive and purpose. Skulker’s is hunting, Ember’s is recognition etc. Most give Danny a protection obsession, but will sometimes give him a space obsession.
Something that has gained traction in the last few years (to my knowledge mostly since the pandemic) is liminality. Liminality is where people are contaminated with ectoplasm due to overexposure or ingestion of it and it gives them ghostly abilities. Different people have liminality give people different abilities. Some have glowing eyes, lengthened canines and pointed ears. Some have enhanced senses, strength and speed as well as extra durability. Some have eyes that reflect like a cats and night vision. Some even go so far as give them at least one of the major ghostly abilities.
How someone becomes liminal differ depending on if the writer wishes to have it just be main characters or if it’s the entire town. If it’s just main characters then usually their frequent exposure to ghostly things as well as close proximity to it makes them liminal. For the whole town people will usually have the portal give off essentially radiation or when the town was pulled into the GZ be the cause.
Frequently Sam, Tucker and to a lesser extent Jazz are given extra abilities. Sam usually has residual powers from her time possessed by Undergrowth, Tucker usually has some form of techno Nancy and Jazz usually has some sort of empathetic ability, if not that she get’s the basic extra strength, speed, durability and senses.
There are some lesser known ones that should at least be mentioned in case you come across them. One of those being ghost hunger. This is where ghosts or liminals thirst for ectoplasm similar to how vampires thirst for blood. Another common thing is that ghosts socialize by fighting. That most of the fights are ghosts greeting the baby ghost. The last thing is that the main characters are known as Team Phantom.
I’m probably going to think of more later and I’ll post when I do, but this is the basics that I could remember on the fly. I hope this helps people!!

Danny had planed just play a simple prank on the JL (because why not?) floating upside down through the ceiling while some meeting was taking place. Waiting for someone to notice anything a comment about the thing they where talking about slips his mouth.
Danny never meant to find the secret satellite the Justice League used as their home base. He really didn't. He was just floating in space one day, enjoying the view of the planet from low Earth orbit, as you do, when he saw the too big to be a communications satellite and decided to check it out. Invisibly, of course.
When he realized it belonged to the Justice Leaugue, well, what's a teenager to do but see how long he can stay there without getting caught.
He'd done this kind of thing before. He stayed in Sam's house for three days before her mom caught him. He lived in Vlad's Amity Park mansion for five days before the other Halfa kicked him out. He could have stayed in Walmart forever. None of the workers seemed to notice or care.
So, he hung around the watchtower. His favorite thing to do was sit in on meetings, especially when Batman is there. Which is how he found himself floating upside down during a meeting between Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. He wasn't really paying attention. He thought these meeting would be more interesting, but most of them were going over numbers and figures and budgets. Boring.
Except this time, something caught his eye. An old spell book on the table, opened to a familiar pictures of a man that still haunts Danny's nightmares.
"Pariah Dark?"
The room froze. Shit. Shit shit. He said that out loud. "Ward the watchtower." Batman barked. Danny felt the spell travel over him, trapping him in the satellite.
"Show yourself!" Batman commanded. The white out lenses were locked on him. "I can see your heat signature. I know you're here."
"I'll get it." Wonder Woman said, whipping out her lasso. Danny tried to dodge, tried to evade, but Wonder Woman and Batman worked well together, and her lasso was made of something he couldn't phase through. Soon enough, they had him contained, lying on his side panting.
"Show yourself." Batman commanded again. Danny let his invisibility drop.
"Who are you?" Wonder Woman asked.
Danny didn't answer at first, but the lasso around his chest started burning and tightening until he gasped out "Phantom! My name is Phantom."
"Where did you come from?" Superman asked.
Danny wondered how vague he could get before the lasso started squeezing the information out of him. "Earth. USA. Illinois. Amity! Amity Park!" He practically screamed. Very specific, it seemed.
The questions kept coming.
"How do you know about this place?"
"I just found it."
"How did you get here."
"I flew."
"What were you doing here?"
"Nothing bad, I swear. Just a prank. Just to see how long it would take someone to notice."
"How long have you been here?" Batman asked.
"Four days."
"How old are you?" Superman asked.
"Sixteen."
"Aren't your parents worried about you?" Wonder Woman asked.
"They haven't even noticed I'm missing." The words tumbled out of his lips without the lasso prompting them.
The three heroes shared a look before Batman crouched down. "One last question, son. Are you hungry?"

Oops, Wrong Death Deity
Vaguely inspired by @/evilminji's recent DP x Marvel posts:
So, Thanos has his comic iteration's motivations and thus gathers the Infinity Stones to try and win over Death. He's just got his hands on the last stone and adds it to the Infinity Gauntlet. Right before he wipes half the universe from existence, he summons his (hopefully soon-to-be) lover so that they may witness his grand courting act in all it's glory.
There's the sound of a portal opening, a flash of ecto-green, and....
Thanos, expecting Pariah Dark, only to be met with who he assumes to be Pariah's son and is now on the back foot trying to make a good step-dad impression: Child, where is your father? I wish for him to bear witness as I rewrite the universe in his honor.
*Danny, running on less than two hours of sleep, summoned to an alternate dimension, and stuck in one of his more Eldrich forms, slowly taking in a purple amalgamation of Vlad and Freakshow.*
*The Vlad/Freakshow fusion is wielding what appears to be a knock-off Reality Gauntlet that Danny apparently didn't destroy enough last time.*
*On the knock-off gauntlet is the fancy time emerald that Clockwork is always bitching about, claiming the Observants 'confiscated it' and then promptly lost it in fuck knows which dimension.*
*And in true Vlad/Freakshow fashion, the purple fruitloop wants to fuck one of Danny's parents and is ready and willing to destroy everything in his path to do so*
Danny, cracking his knuckles (or Eldrich equivalent): One, fuck you. Two, how many times do I have to tell people like you that my parents are happily married? And three, I hope you like chocolate because I'm about to break you like a KitKat. Square up, bitch.
Thanos, confused and wondering when Pariah got married, and to whom: Excuse me, what?
Danny: *creates a folding chair out of ectoplasm and goes hog wild*

Hi! For posterity, I’d like to say that I’m a cringe little baby boy who hasn’t really used ffn for anything but LOZ fix’s, which are a whole different story. I’d like to check out some of the older works, but I’d like to be sure of what I’m reading. If you don’t mind, could you tell me about a couple of common ship nicknames in this fandom or ones that I should definitely know about? I’m bad at understanding most references, so I’m sorry if they’re like, secretly super obvious.
Omg haha you're so fine!
The big ones you'll run into the most are going to be:
Amethyst Ocean = Danny/Sam
Gray Ghost = Danny/Valerie
Swagger Bishie (older) and Teddy Ghost (newer) = Danny/Dash
Savant Par = Danny/Tucker
Pompous Pep = Vlad/Danny (non-platonic)
Badger Cereal = Vlad&Danny (mentor & mentee, or father & son)
Pink Astronaut = Danny/Paulina
Dark Gray = Valerie/Dan
Pitch Pearl = Danny Phantom/Danny Fenton
Everlasting Trio = Danny/Sam/Tucker (rarely can also be platonic Danny&Sam&Tucker)
Family Breakfast = Maddie/Jack/Vlad
You didn't ask, but you should know that we are HUGE on our AU's. If you run into some terms you don't recognize, here's what they could mean:
Corpse AU: When Danny dies, he leaves behind a body.
Dissection Fic: Danny gets captured by his parents or the GIW
Dual Obsession AU: Danny has two obsessions: protection (or similar), and space
Electric Core AU: Instead of ice powers, Danny gets electricity powers from the portal.
Everyone Knows AU: Danny was revealed (typically not through Phantom Planet)
Ghost King AU: After defeating Pariah Dark, Danny is next in line to be the ghost king.
(Half) Human AU: Danny starts out as a ghost, and the portal turns him into a (half) human.
Hazmat AU: Danny dies in a full hazmat suit
No One Knows AU: Danny was alone during the accident
Portal AU: Danny is the ghost portal.
Reverse/Inverse Trio: Role reversal! Either Tucker or Sam is the halfa.

Ambassador Danny
source: #ghosts-and-bats channel
G Brain: I have a weird idea Me: okay, what is it now? Brain: I know you don’t really like the Ghost King Phantom trope, but hear me out. What if, when Jason comes back to life, King Phantom personally goes to see Bruce and is like… “so, one of my subjects is missing… and I’m pretty sure he’s yours” I need to go to bed
W YES! YES! I LIKE THAT!
S Ghost king is specifically to liaison with the living and Pariah Dark took that as "invade" it's a glorified ambassador role
W EXACTLY!
S Basically no humans took ghosts seriously without some kind of centralized government so they made up a fake one W Danny: explains his role and responsibilities as ghost king The justice league: isn't that just an ambassador? S Danny: Humans respect a powerful title ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
C if it works for king cobras, it can work for ghosts G lol I wasn't expecting my random thought process to take off… but you know, I like the idea of Ghost King = glorified ambassador ….. I now just have this image of the Justice League doing stuff in the Watchtower after the Superboy Prime incident, and Danny, just appearing with all the bells and whistles to go inform Bats that his dead son isn't so dead anymore Constantine is in a corner trying to completely avoid catching the attention of this ghost S It's not the fact that it's the ghost king, but the fact that it's Phantom he's an enigma c He's the megalodon of the infinite realms St yes S Halfas are fucking weird St "The megalodon of the infinite realms" I'm gonna have to remember that one S the magic users are glad that neither halfa was particularly interested in anything like world domination or the end of the world St Lol yeah G So, I have to go to bed. Cuz work. I'm curious what's going to become of this idea S smarmy capitalism is a small thing when they have the power to destroy everything Vlad gave up wanting to be ghost king when he figured out it would involve him needing to be nice to people

The Heart of the Matter Ch.4
Chapter 1 (Parts 1-3), Chapter 2, Chapter 3
Info: Some background for how the other Lanterns fit the AU is present - some of their basics are changed up to better work with the AU as well. I’m also not using the Ultraviolet Lanterns.
***
Danny listens patiently as Clockwork weaves a tale of Ghost Zone history.
He’d learned the legends of the previous High Kings - his predecessors - before he took the throne, so Clockwork skims a bit.
But where the story should end, with Pariah Dark being sealed away - skipping over the time of his absence and subsequent defeat that Danny himself had wrought - he keeps going.
He hadn’t expected much from the glossed over history - his first years as a ghost had been a part of that era. He assumed he was familiar enough with what went on in the Zone in that time frame.
He was wrong.
The Observants had been a pain in the neck for as long as Danny had known them; he certainly hadn’t expected their history to be happy or uplifting.
He had expected to be bored to tears; just another history lecture about paperwork-this and proper-procedure-that.
Instead, he got a horror story.
He’d lain awake countless nights in that first year of being a halfa, fearing what his parents would do if they caught him. Then fearing what the GIW would do if they caught him - especially after that near-miss when they started employing more competent agents.
He’d spent hours and days and weeks and months worrying over the laws of the Living as pertained to the Dead. Even more so after his coronation.
When he finally revealed his halfa status to his parents, they had come around. They accepted him as he was - their son, just as he’d always been.
And, like a veil lifting from their eyes, they realized how much they’d allowed their biases to blind them.
They started doing real science - not just with the weapons, but with the ghosts themselves - and they’d come to the same conclusion Danny and Tucker and Sam and countless other residents of Amity Park had: that ghosts are sentient, sapient beings with both physical and emotional feelings, and they deserve to be treated as such.
Ever since they had worked tirelessly to have the Anti-Ecto Acts repealed, countless hours of real research and data gathering.
Presentations.
Protests.
Petitions.
Even Vlad - who had, for whatever reason, begun slowly but surely turning over a new leaf ever since Danny had outed himself as Phantom to his parents - had chipped in, throwing his money and political weight around.
Danny had been hopeful about the future of Living-Dead relations, as limited as they were by nature.
That hope makes a slow, swirling journey down a metaphorical toilet drain the longer Clockwork speaks.
Countless ghosts, stolen away and sealed screaming into their own cores as a fuel source. A barbaric practice that even some of Pariah Dark’s supporters had found distasteful - for all they hadn’t dared say it to his face - when he invented and subsequently made use of it.
Danny had been a fan of the Green Lanterns since he had learned of their existence - space cops, hello? - but thinking of them now, he only feels sick.
Flying around unknowingly using the dead as a battery.
The Oan had deceived them into inflicting the very same cruelty - the evil - that they had been sworn to oppose; causing sapient beings to suffer in the name of their so-called peace.
Learning that there were more Lanterns should have been exciting.
Instead, he only grew increasingly horrified as Clockwork listed them off.
The Yellow Lanterns, founded by a Green Lantern in conjunction with a living, psychic fear parasite - just a Fright Knight flavored version of the originals.
The Orange - a single, furious ghost that had managed to gain control over a small prototype battery and flee, drawing shades into its prison in an attempt to overload the battery and escape.
The Blue Lanterns: Green Lanterns, hope edition.
And the Star Sapphire Lanterns: a brief attempt by a few Oan to be a bit more symbiotic about things, but who eventually became just a different kind of Green Lantern. And who could’ve guessed that the ghost wouldn’t be happy about being enslaved to a fate as magical fashion statements.
Were Danny in human form for the meeting, he thinks his blood would be boiling.
He is furious, disgusted, dismayed; his core cries out to help the trapped.
He has to ask - “Why now? Why wait to tell me?” - even though he’s sure he’ll get a cryptic answer.
He doesn’t.
And oh, how carefully the Observants (and he spits the name like a curse within his own mind) had trapped Clockwork - the one being they knew would learn of their indiscretions. The one being who could and would oppose them.
They’d trapped him in a web of his own making; carefully prompted words, seemingly careless requests, and meaningless questions.
Clockwork had been young once, too, and the incaution of his youth hadn’t allowed him to anticipate the growing cruelty and callousness of those he had trusted with keeping the balance in the interim until a new king could be found.
Danny doesn’t ask him to explain why he hadn’t changed the past; he had seen for himself how poorly that could go.
But Danny Phantom is the High King of the Infinite Realms.
Names have power.
Titles have power.
Belief has power.
And the High Kings have been sought out as mediators since even the first.
It is the work of a single sentence to break each and every contract that once bound the Master of Time.
For good measure, he demands: “Tell me about everything the Observants have been hiding from me.”
He gets more than he’d hoped for, but no less than he’d expected.
Cover-ups - most of the cores they had fed to the Lantern Corps had been from ghosts who wanted to improve the Realms again - to make things more peaceful, to help with mediation or do something about the increasingly erratic natural portals.
Ghosts who threatened their power over the Realms
Anyone who doubted the strength and terror of the Green Lanterns - and their eventual variants.
Those who were a danger to their complete control.
Who might expose the cracks in their flawless image.
The only opposition that had managed to survive their careful cullings were known as Red and Black Lanterns.
The Red Lanterns, Clockwork tells him, are ghosts who chose to oppose the Green Lanterns despite the odds - or who were forced to by their leader, Atrocitus. A being that opposed the Lanterns even in life, he willingly threw himself and his fellows into the jaws of death when he learned the truth behind the Green Lanterns’ powers, founding his own Corps.
His consideration for his fellow ghosts is secondary to his rage and grief, making for a mix of volunteers and conscripts among their number. They believe it is worth temporarily stooping to the enemy’s level if it means eventually crushing them and freeing all those who have been entrapped.
The Black Lanterns, led by a death deity ghost named Necron, are apparently an attempt to form an army against the living, both to reclaim the cores lost to the other Lanterns and to ‘increase the domain of the High King of the Infinite Realms!’
As if they weren’t already infinite.
Necron worshiped Pariah Dark when he reigned, and has apparently worshiped Danny from the moment he took the throne. He adores death, as he was born of its concept, and wants to create more dead people through murder and mayhem. He also wishes to protect the dead from the living.
The ghosts that align with him both like piloting kind-of-living bodies and see opposing the Green Lanterns - who ‘trespass upon that which is rightfully the king’s,’ aka enslaving ghost cores as fuel sources - as their sacred duty.
The two remaining Lantern Corps had been hidden from him out of fear that drawing his attention to the fact there are more corps might incite enough curiosity for him to look into the matter more, eventually leading him to the awful truths behind the Lanterns.
The Indigo Lanterns were created by a hive-mind like psychic ghost forming a symbiotic relationship with the living to fulfill its obsession in the living realm - not that the living involved are aware that their power source is a ghost benefitting from their partnership. Apparently the ghost just steals whatever ecto-energy or -plasm they need from the Green Lantern battery’s metaphysical shunting system - it’s not like the frequency is a secret, what with the Oan not expecting any of the cores to be conscious enough to intentionally siphon from it.
The White Lanterns were created by a being simply known as Balance - the balance equivalent of Clockwork. They disapprove of the artificial destruction of life the Black Lanterns are aiming for, instead acknowledging that the Living Realm and the Ghost Zone are two sides of a coin and wanting the living to flourish as much as possible so that more die in the long run. The ghosts working with them agree - and also want to kind of pilot human bodies for a bit.
Silent tears - of sadness and anger both - trail down his cheeks as he takes it all in, grieving for those who had been wronged.
Atrocitus, who had spent so long lost to his grief.
The orange ghost, stuck failing to save themself for billions of years.
The countless other ghosts that the Observants had personally delivered into a nightmare even worse than anything Danny himself had managed to conjure up on his worst nights.
Something occurs to him.
“Wait…you said you couldn’t bring this up before, because of the restrictions. But the restrictions were still in place when you came to me. What changed?”
“A man named Jason Todd,” Clockwork tells him, “Who crawled out of his own grave in the second most ecto-contaminated city on Earth to swim in some of the most sub-par ectoplasm present in the living realm. Jason Todd, the halfa who doesn’t know he’s a halfa, whose complete lack of ghostly knowledge has left his life in shambles.”
And Danny’s core aches with the familiarity of it.
“Unable to manage his obsession, fully unaware that there’s anything to manage as he is. Too little ectoplasm to be stable and healthy - mentally or physically. And it is only by the grace of his city’s contamination level that he gets any ectoplasm at all.”
He pauses, dramatic as ever - or maybe perfecting his timing.
“Jason Todd, supposedly dead son of Bruce Wayne, who recently met with a Green Lantern. Ghosts can sense each other, even reduced to our cores, and this ability is passed onto the Lanterns.”
Danny bristles, practically flinging himself from his throne and into the air.
“The Lanterns don’t know the truth about their rings,” he continues, “The Oan hid it from them after the first few had to be mind-wiped because, for some reason, the people chosen for their exceptional morals and force of will were generally unwilling to condone what amounts to a combination of slavery and torture.”
Danny is flooded with relief at this; it didn’t fix what had happened to the ghosts involved and the Oan would need to be managed, but there was hope that the Lanterns would help them. Would free the ghosts’ cores willingly.
That the Justice League hadn’t willingly worked with a torturing enslaver.
That there were allies to be had among the living, even beyond the close-knit borders of Amity Park.
Still, if Jason Todd was safe then why bring him up.
“Unfortunately,” Clockwork says gravely, “This means that the Lantern he met with reported what seemed to him like a ring lodged in someone’s chest straight to Oa. And the Oan are all too eager to have him lure Jason Todd in with false medical concern and promises of their so-called ‘aid.’ It will work, and the events that would be set in motion-”
Danny doesn’t need to know what else will happen, another person’s core getting ripped out and them getting fully killed is bad enough.
He’s gone before Clockwork can say anything else.
He knows roughly where Wayne Manor is; he can look up more specific directions on his phone once he’s in New Jersey.
---------------------
Danny is gone before he can finish speaking, all too eager to help.
To save.
Let him think of his own disaster timelines-that-might-have-been, none he can guess could be as cruel as the truth.
(What difference a single friend makes - a segway to a peaceful meeting that would have been combative. To alliance.
Knowledge is power, but it is also protection. Jason Todd leads to Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne leads to Hal Jordan.
It amazes Clockwork almost as much as it appalls them, sometimes: how a simple conversation can divert disaster. A single friend leads to diplomacy instead of a fire-fight, leads to peace instead of the King’s family being killed and their cores crushed in an attempted coup by the Observants while the Oan dealt with the King - as if they ever stood a chance.
How a small slackening of the leash could lead to the whole thing being ripped to shreds.
It had been too long since Clockwork had spoken to the other ancients; perhaps it was time for him to change that.)
***
Info: The Observants lied - a ghost with a satisfied obsession can become infinitely powerful in the human realm. They’ll need ecto eventually, just like humans need food/water, but it isn’t a limitation of power. The rings' energy channeling and restriction method prevents the ghosts from forming anyway, but the Observants don’t want to give away too much and risk being turned on and left with no cards to play. They are very aware that the Guardians are using them for resources and see little difference between themselves and any random core mounted on a ring.
Next chapter we finally get to the meet-up!

I have another poll for the Demon AU!
Its about Dark Dan. In the original au, Dan wasn't a thing. He was never put in it, because his story didn't make sense with the Lore of the AU. There was no time travel and therefore no evil future Danny.
Tumblr media
So, now that the au is being revamped, what do we do with him? Leave him out like in the original? Maybe a clone Vlad made as an 'improved' Dani? Or did the Pariah make him out of Danny's blood he got during their fight? What do you guys think?

Prompt 264
Danny squints at his tiny hands, eyes narrowing as Clockwork hums in the kitchen. Which he wasn’t even aware of having been in LongNow. Maybe it wasn’t. He huffed, voice too squeaky for him to continue complaining. Stupid time accidents.
Which wasn’t even starting on the other figure awkwardly sitting at the table.
He glowered at the Ghost King, who kept glancing at him with an unreadable look in their eyes, then looked back towards where Clockwork was. His scowl deepened over his cup of tea- which wasn’t fair, he wanted coffee but nooo, that’s not healthy for ‘little ghostlings’. Ugh.
Sometimes he wished he was fully ghost so he didn’t have to apparently worry about his living body having to grow back up.

Super dumb DP AU role swap/ age swap AU idea for Dark Ages
Halfa Pariah Dark who finds the ghost zone and decides to try taking it over not very successfully. Most of his plans being busting in to realms and trying to beat everyone up. Just angry Halfa screaming ‘FIGHT ME’ to most the ghost zone.
Him meeting Clockwork who is the apprentice/ son of the ghost of Space and also king of the ghost zone Danny Phantom.
The two of them awkwardly pinning over each other, Pariah not knowing CW is related the ghost King and there being mistaken identity shenanigans.
Danny being concerned about screaming teenage halfa that he’s worried is going to hurt himself... only to CW around him and it’s so obvious that his kid and his crush. Danny being torn between ‘Awww my kids first crush how cute’ and ‘That little brat better not hurt my kid or I am tearing these realms apart’ and ‘Oh no kid don’t go for the angsty bad boy whose trying to fight the entire infinite realms nooo’.
Sam and Tucker also basically ancient ghosts teasing the hell out of overprotective dad Danny.
  Pariah*Surrounded by everything on fire*
  CW:...I like him
  Danny: Kid...no
  Danny: YOU CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER!
  Bonus: Vlad also being around as ghost and trying to manipulate Pariah to help him so he can claim the throne for himself. He was sealed away but keeps getting out...it’s very annoying.
Danny: oh fuck he’s back SAM TUCKER GET THE SARCOPHAGUS READY WE GONNA SHOVE VLAD BACK IN

shatter my soul (I don't want it anymore)
DannyMay 2023 Day 4: Fractal
title: shatter my soul (I don't want it anymore)
words: 1160
Complete
Warnings: Major Character Death, Implied Violence
~~~
In that moment, Danny felt like he’d been torn apart molecule by molecule, that his family had finally made good on their threats.
As sick as it was, he thinks he’d prefer that to real life right now. He’d rather be under his mother’s scalpel and his father’s saw.
Because then that meant they were here. They lived. And he’d suffer a thousand times to make sure his family and friends lived, to bring them back. He’d go back in the portal and die again and again if it saved the people he loved.
But as he knelt in front of the ruins of the Nasty Burger, as he remembered the blast and the smell of singed hair and flesh, he knew it was impossible, a wish even Desiree couldn’t grant. Even she couldn’t bring back the dead.
Danny heard the sounds of the fire department, of the police, but they sounded so far away, his head stuffed so full of cotton everything was dull to his ears. He vaguely acknowledged when someone helped him stand and looked him over for injuries.
Later, they told him what he already knew. His family and his friends, lost in a freak accident. They asked him if he had any family, anywhere he could go.
He didn’t remember asking for Vlad, but he knew he did. Alicia couldn’t understand, would never understand.
Vlad handled funeral arrangements. He managed to be a decent person the whole time, actually appearing somber at the situation. He never made a quip about Jack or if he did, he didn’t do it in Danny’s earshot. Danny would never forget the conversation, though, with the funeral home director.
There were no bodies for any of his family, after all. They didn’t need a coffin.
They’d been blown into as many pieces as Danny’s soul had been.
~~~~~~
Time slipped and swerved around him, stagnant as he was. The pain was awful, it was all he ever felt. He began venturing into the Zone on his own, now the one seeking a fight instead of the one having to defend against an onslaught he had done nothing to deserve. He hoped he would lose a battle. That Skulker would slice too deep. That Technus would electrocute him to death. That one would be ironic, wouldn’t it? Killed twice by pure energy.
Vlad tried, he really did. Stopped calling him Daniel, son, little badger. He was more concerned with trying to get Danny to eat, with having to patch up the wounds Danny let freely bleed because the child simply didn’t care.
Weeks passed like this. Danny had never wished so fiercely to be weaker than he was. His ghostly Need to exist prevented him from throwing fights - against himself or anyone else. But all he wanted was peace. He wanted freedom from the agony in his chest, from the pit that kept gnawing deeper into his stomach, the fracture in his very being that just grew with every day.
He wanted his sister, his mom, his dad.
The girl he thought he’d spend forever with and the boy he expected to be forever at his side.
He wanted them more than anything. But he couldn’t have them ever again.
They’d been blown into as many pieces as Danny’s soul had been.
~~~~~~
It was a last ditch effort. He wasn’t sure who came up with it - him or Vlad. Who decided to try to separate him from his pain - to lock the agony away in a deep hole that rivaled Pariah Dark’s. But Danny simply didn’t care anymore. He didn’t have the strength. As strong as people thought he was, he wasn’t. He was just a tired orphan who dreamt of his loved one’s death every night, who had not slept longer than an hour in a month.
Danny didn’t know how this was going to work and he didn’t care. There was no existence more painful than what he currently suffered. Maybe he’d finally have one peace and quiet, a reprieve from the demons in his mind that spoke with his parents’ voices. It was only their voices, never the other three. Probably because even now, he couldn’t imagine any of them saying these words to him.
But his parents had said plenty and enough of it sounded like what the monsters in his head spoke that it grew harder to ignore. That he was to blame. That if he had just died properly, they’d still be alive. That if he hadn’t been such a useless child playing hero, maybe he could’ve gotten to them in time, gotten them to safety.
Even now, his mother’s last words to him echoed in his head cruelly. “The people will cheer when I get you on that table!”
It wasn’t any worse than anything else she’d said. But that was the last thing he’d ever heard from her.
He couldn’t remember his father’s last words to him. He didn’t know if that was better or worse - that he couldn’t remember his father damning him again or that he had paid so little attention to them before they died. Before they’d been buried in an urn. The reminder of what had happened.
They’d been blown into as many pieces as Danny’s soul had been.
~~~~~~
Power.
Pure, intoxicating power. As he awoke, the feeling of knives in his chest, power was all he knew. And he found he didn’t mind that. It was better than whatever he had left behind. He couldn’t remember just then what exactly he’d felt before. But now he felt perfect and he never wanted to feel anything less again.
He laughed, eyeing the man in front of him with a deranged grin on his face. This man had power, though he couldn’t remember who this man was. But he wanted that power, he craved it like a drug.
The knives that he’d awoken to in his chest worked just as well ripping the other ghost from its fleshy prison before he absorbed it into himself, disintegrating the consciousness in it to replace with his own.
He needed to hurt this man. He needed to prove he had the power.
A whimper behind him got his attention and he snarled as he turned, seeing a lanky teenager with black hair and fear in his blue eyes shaking with terror against the wall.
At his human face, Dan remembered. He remembered what he’d lost. Anger replaced where hurt used to be within him. This was that stupid child’s fault. And he needed to pay. He almost realized it was his mind fracturing into a thousand pieces as he did it, though it wasn’t unpleasant. He threw away all the shards with pain in them. As far as his old human body, though…
Dan made sure it hurt, not the quick, painless death everyone he loved had suffered.
Danny was ripped into as many pieces as his family and friends had been blown into.

We've reached a point in our lives where nostalgic bait is at an all-time high. From the thousands of reboots; remakes; and sequels to beloved cult classics from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, it is shameful how many of these we have, all varying in terms of quality and almost always with the intent to pocket money off of us peons.
What can I say? We were desperate for anything because we hardly ever got anything back then.
Even the darling favorite of many a fandom back in the mid-2000s, Avatar: The Last Airbender, was hurting for merch back in the days. And Danny Phantom's was practically non-existent. It is astonishing this comic exists, but not at all surprising because now, Nickelodeon knows to cash in on the products that fans have carried a torch for decades later.
I'm sounding really cynical here, I know. And while Ol' Nicky is seeing dollar signs, it is worth noting A Glitch in Time was clearly made with the most utmost love and respect for the show. Gabriela Epstein gave so much of a damn crafting this near 200-page behemoth, covering almost 90% of the hanging plot points the show never got the time to answer and simultaneously wiping off the backwards series finale that left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouth.
Like altogether, this comic explored Danny's story and what his purpose is post-"PP", Vlad's redemption arc, Pariah King's artifacts (and why Vlad was collecting them), and Dark Danny's return, all while working around a plausible narrative that retooled "PP" using time manipulation and newfound lore. And it's amazing how seamless it flows.
This comic isn't just incredible, it's a miracle.
And in spite of all that, the author still had the balls to leave some of the dangling plot threads and character arcs unfinished for a potential sequel hook, as if they knew this comic would sell enough to justify one.
Well, as of this writing, this motherfucker is still the #1 top seller in Amazon's all-age for graphic novels. Fool on me to rely purely on that hell site's sale counts to accurately know how well it did, but I imagine that's pretty damn good. If you had told me years ago anything DP-related beyond lame ass Box Lunch shirts would officially come out of the woodwork, I would have laughed. That the possibility of a second comic book seem plausible would be chuckly-worthy, but now... damn, I think it genuinely could happen.
And I hope it does, because A Glitch in Time still finishes with a couple of snags left to untangle.
The first major incident is the controversial matter of a one Miss Danielle Phantom. Now that Vlad has been given a second chance to raise a child, and do it right this time, what does that mean for Danny's clone? How will she feel knowing Vlad has changed? Or that he has a son? Would he have been a better father by the time she flies back to Amity Park? What has this kid been up to in the few years since "PP?" How would Danielle feel when she reunites with a Vlad that looks to be genuinely trying? Distrustful on his true intention? Angry that this man had the gull to change? Jealous that Dark Danny had Vlad's unconditional love when his fatherly affection is all Danielle ever wanted?
Dani is never mentioned at any point in the comic, with any hints that she still exists the Danny clones lingering in Vlad's secret base. I understand why she wouldn't be relevant for this comic. Dark Danny, for one, is such a huge entity that an entire spotlight dedicated to him and him alone would be worthy of a full graphic novel. But Dani's existence, her dilemma as a lone wanderer with only a distant relationship with Danny, and the unresolved tension between her and Vlad means her story is worthy of a full comic, too.
Now that Vlad is on the path of redemption with promises to be a better person and a father, his relationship with Danielle is going to invite a lot of questions, conflicts, and hurt feelings before it presumably and hopefully treads into happier paths. And Danny is likely gonna be stuck playing the awkward monkey-in-the-middle family member in all this. But damn, the setup is there.
The other Big Huge Plot left is Valerie.
In her last major role prior to this comic, Valerie was confronted with a moral dilemma: will she take the life of a human if said human is a half-ghost? Danny, in desperation, had to confess to Valerie that Dani is a half-ghost, meaning Valerie would have the blood of an actual mortal on her hands should she kill her.
And mind, this was the best Danny could do. We've seen that ghosts in DP are their own species with their own (dead) lives and free will. I'm not sure if Valerie has killed any ghosts or if she's just thermos'ed them back into the Ghost Zone, but her unscrupulous and, by the end of the show, downright brutal nature, seem to imply if she hadn't already murdered any ghosts, then she's more than willing to should the issue arise.
And so we have Val in A Glitch in Time, still doing her ghost hunting thing (her father hasn't been seen since season two, is he okay with her doing this or is she hunting ghosts regardless of any concerns he might have), a job I'm sure she's positively thriving in now that Amity Park is gung-ho for some ghostbustin'.
Indeed, though she's not as prominent as the main trio and Vlad, Valerie gets enough time in the spotlight to meet Dark Danny. In a particularly brilliant callback, she gets a couple of one-on-one battles with Dark Danny, with both the tone and even color scheme echoing so much of what her alternate, older counterpart has countered with Dark Danny from that timeline.
And I'm sure Dark Danny is just thrilled at the deja vu.
The damning part is how Valerie reacts when she realizes Dark Danny is, well, Danny.
Tumblr media
Keep in mind, this is post-"Phantom Planet." This is post-Valerie has known Danny Phantom is Fenton. She says this after knowing the town's hero was a fellow student she once liked and dated, and whom she nearly gave up her ghost hunting career for.
Yeah.
This has implication.
Valerie's first reaction to meeting a future Dark Danny is to straight up tell him, "you're evil." Is that how she felt about Danny Fenton after "Phantom Planet?" Did she feel betrayed that the boy she fell for was secretly half-ghost? Did she feel manipulated into saving Dani? Given the exceptional story Gabriela Epstein has expertly crafted, this one piece of dialogue cannot, under any circumstances, be accidental.
Valerie saying this straight up to Danny fuckin' Fenton after everything that has transpired is one of the biggest bomb drops in A Glitch in Time.
Tumblr media
The end of the comic implies she remembers the old timeline, meaning she's still aware of Fenton as Phantom. The tragedy of her character is that Valerie has always been strictly one-minded in her goal. Her downright hatred for ghosts and the absolute destruction of Amity Park before Clockwork fixed everything means in her eyes, she has justifiable cause to kill Danny Fenton. The current Danny Fenton. After all, if he is capable of turning into Dark Danny, then why shouldn't she get rid of him before it's too late?
Valerie is also intricately connected to Dani through "D-Stabilized", meaning there could be a way to tie all of these into another Big Damn Comic Book down the line. And while I had problems with how Valerie's dialogue was written in that episode (sounding deviously supervillainy as oppose to her feeling like her actions are justified), having her as the central villain in the next book sounds about right.
I've always been opposed to the idea of Valerie being an outright baddie (as oppose to a just being a dangerous obstacle), but the potential dynamic and high stakes tension for her to be the biggest obstacle to Danny, Dani, and Vlad (since she also knows what the latter is, too) in her pursuit to kill all ghosts and protect her home has nuances and character exploration that I think Gabriela Epstein is more than capable of dissecting.
Whatever the outcome may be, should another DP graphic novel come to light, I, for once in so many, many, many years, look forward to it.

K so, Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time impressions
[Spoilers]
-The fanfics/ fan theories were right about so much stuff. I thought we already knew the emotion thing tho.
-Aren't they kinda friends with Dorothea? Like, why just call her "dragon ghost"? Rude.
-It's been a while since I watched the show, but the hell is Fright Knight's deal anyway? I thought he was over serving Pariah Dark, and you're telling me this dude just hangs out with his sarcophagus most of the year? Booooo.
-Holy shit, Dark Dan :):) He's so cool but he's officially in wet cat territory for me.
-Valerie is gonna be a problem in the future, and I don't think I'm down for that.
-I am simultaneously impressed and very miffed that they somehow managed to reset everything back to the status-quo damn near 20 years after the original show. I know a lot of people didn't like Phantom Planet, but good lord. I suppose it's a clever way to write out the Deus ex that Clockwork represents, but I rather wish they'd tried to keep some shake ups within the narrative.
-I was always an advocate for Vlad getting a redemption, until near the end of the show, so I'm kinda conflicted. He had a pretty cool moment tho, and was funny during the story. I hope it sticks I guess.
-Vlad finally has his evil son and it's a fusion of a version of himself and Danny that's an adult in a clone of Danny's body. Something about that is hilarious. Hope Dan can get over his angst.
-The end was a bit unclear about what everyone remembered, but since this is clearly a set up for a series, oh well I guess?
-Danny is the Avatar now???????????
-Main trio was alright, I guess. I loved Danny, but I feel like Tucker and Sam didn't really get to do much. Also, I know it wasn't the focus, I didn't expect it to be, but I dead-ass forgot Sam and Danny were a couple?? Like, they had a few panels with them looking at each other all soft and everything, but the chemistry kinda felt non-existent? Idk what to take from that, it's just an observation.
