yo fr tho? missed opportunity for the Sylvie redemption arc to be centered around Guile. both are characters who prioritize increasing their power levels over the feelings of other people. but Sylvie has absolute childlike faith in Guile, looks up to him, sees him as a best friend, etc.

imagine Guile eventually ending up in the middle of a conflict and betraying Sylvie. (even if he has kind of a soft spot for the kid, hey, it’s all he knows.) imagine how upset Sylvie would get that Guile would just shrug off his feelings like that. we already saw how much Mera’s betrayal affected him.

now imagine someone pointing out that he basically does this to people all the time. he guesses strangers’ epithets (something very intrusive and uncool) for proficiency points. he throws a temper tantrum when his teammates don’t go where he wants to go. he’d even betray his own team for a sense of power.

and Sylvie realizes... maybe he’s the problem.

#don't get me wrong I enjoyed what happened in canon #especially for an improvised arc it was pretty darn fun to watch #but if it were like. a planned-out thing. I think thematically this would be a great parallel #Sylvie seeing Guile disappoint him and then realizing he doesn't want to turn out like that #a/c Sylvie #a/c Guile

Hello, here at long last is the selfcest threeway I've been writing for approximately 79 years. Sorry about the title, I failed to come up with a better one, and semi-sorry for some of the BOLD CHOICES I made to deal with the "three versions of the same character, two of whom share the same name, physical appearance, and pronouns" issue.
