It sucks that Violet has worse Paradox Pokemon designs and that Turo is less attractive than Sada, because I think the idea of Sada dumping a baby Arven on Turo is much more interesting than the opposite, considering that deadbeat fathers are far, far more common than the reverse, the idea of a younger Turo forced to raise his son alone is much more interesting just due to the sheer rarity of single fathers whose spouse/partner didn’t die.

But then I remember all the Violet Paradox Pokemon are “What if (Pokemon) but robot?” and I’m like, yeah, Scarlet is still better.

Ok so rant but isn’t Marisa better than Asriel?? Bc she ACTUALLY CARES abt Lyra and constantly goes out of her way to protect her. Idk this might be a bit obvious but she’s less evil. Lord Asriel was fighting for what was right but Marisa was fighting for her only child and simultaneously continuing her controversial work with the Magisterium. And in the Amber Spyglass, when she leaves the church she’s basically a protagonist.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

I am actually so serious I think it really messes with a childs creativity and joy to tell them to never make a mary sue OC. Like that unbridaled form of joy where you make a self insert OC who super cool and everyone loves them and they have every superpower in the world SHOULD be something a kid makes, it nourishes their ability to create things for fun and not be stifled by "oh but what if my character is too overpowered and cringey...". whatever
