This is a special interest blog, however it also kind of acts like a diary. I write down what I’m thinking or hyperfixating on, same goes with my regular interests! This blog will also have alot of alterhuman content, as it’s a big part of my identity!

My name is Murruyu! I’m a transfem enby, and would prefer if you used they/it/xe on me aswell as fem + neutral terms! If you don’t respect my pronouns, I’ll simply block you, no biggie! 🤍

My special interests are mcyt (hermitcraft & life series specifically), horror, metal music and bio! When I say bio and horror, I mean all aspects. I love horror games, movies, shows, etc. And I love all biology paths/subtypes! (Eg: wildlife bio, botany, palaeontology, and more!)

I’m the host of a minor bodied DID system, however I won’t get into that much on this blog, as this is my personal blog! However, I will talk about our physical disabilities because they impact my everyday life, and this is a diary blog after all! [I will mainly talk about my EDS and CFS]

As I said before.. I am an alterhuman! More specifically, here is a link to all my kintypes!

Content and Tags

Hello! Welcome to a run-down of the content on my blog and how to block anything that you don’t want to see. I do my best to tag triggering material but please let me know if you would like anything additional tagged: I won’t ask you for any explanation or justification, although I may create my own tags for you to block.

Generally, I suggest that minors block #nsft and #minors dni: I will block minors who interact with nsfw content on my blog, but it’s not the focus of my selfships, so I just tag it if it comes up.

You may also want to block #nsft mention, #kink mention, and #suggestive: those are the kind of T/M rated content things that aren’t fully explicit.

I do post age regression content on this blog, related to several of my f/os, so you can block the #agere tag if you want that off your dash! You might also want to block #my ghost boy and #my gamer boy, where those themes are heaviest.

Selfship-Specific:

Because some of my selfships have dark themes, here is a list of the ones that you may want to block if you have any triggers around their main themes, as I won’t always tag them with content warnings if it’s a main part of that selfship.

Valentino and Vox (#digital poison): canon-typical voyeurism, stalking, sexual coercion, mentions/threats of sexual assault, manipulation, power games, a veritable host of kinks including bloodplay, painplay, bondage, etc.

I have one F/O (Toshinori) who is police-adjacent and one F/O who is a problematic school shooter stereotype (Tate). Vox and Valentino literally have an empire based on coercion and violence. I am aware of their place in their original media as problematic, but don’t acknowledge it in every single post about them. I am also aware of Alex, Brahms, The Joker, and Michael as being symbols of rape/assault to different degrees and I have complicated feelings about their symbolism in that space that I’m probably not going to deal with on this blog.

Tagging Systems For Reblogs:

I do my best to tag fandoms as #source: [fandom] but occasionally will tag with #source: unfamiliar if I don’t recognize the source, so if there’s a lot of sources you want to avoid, you can block to be safe!

I tag all my selfship reblogs with #others f/os: [name], so if you have an f/o you don’t like seeing others selfship with, block that tag with the relevant names inserted!

I currently tag for #bugs, #clowns, #blades, #religion/#religious imagery, and #blood, and do my best to remember to tag #food.

Firstly, I'm sorry that you've had a cg that didn't treat you well, no one deserves to be used when they're feeling vulnerable. Thank you so much for the ask, I'll do my best to explain it to you.

Caregivers exist to make a regressor feel safe, comfortable and loved when they are in headspace. There's no handbook on being the perfect cg because it varies depending on their regressor's needs and wants.

In general, caregivers need to communicate with their littles and discuss likes, dislikes and boundaries for both parties. This makes it easier for both the cg and little to be comfortable when together. Talking about things you want to do together, what you want to try out, rules and triggers are all very important! Both of you need to respect and understand each other for the relationship to work.

Cgs should always be gentle and nice to their littles. This is a big one. Just because they take care of littles does not give them the right to hurt, yell or be mean to them, especially when they're in a more vulnerable headspace.

I personally dislike it when cgs punish littles for doing something wrong, but if it's something you talked about before and are comfortable with, then do what helps you best. (I would rather just guide my little in the right direction and tell them what they did wrong and why.)

Cgs should be patient with their kiddos! This is a huge one. It can be frustrating to help out a little one if they're feeling fussy or taking a while to explain what they need. But rushing through things can lead to later conflicts.

Also, cgs should pay attention to their little. Ignoring then will make them doubt themselves and feel isolated, which is a big no when they're trying to heal from an experience by going into headspace.

I think this is a given, but cgs should always, always find ways to shower their baby with love. Buy them toys and agere items! Hand them comfort items when they need them, and even when they don't! Cuddle them, kiss them, pet their hair and sing to them! (Or if skinship makes them uncomfy, find alternatives :3) Tell them they're the cutest bestest baby in the world! Tuck them in and read them stories! Ask them if they need help doing big kid things and do tasks for them (feed them, tie their shoes for them, fill up their sippy cup/bottle/glass, help them get dressed, etc.) Play with them - colour, play pretend, run around! Run them a bath with their favourite scented soaps and bubble bath! Tell them how sweet they are when little, and make sure they know it! All of these are little ways to say I love you, and are vital in making a little feel the most comfortable in headspace.

And the final point - littles will not always be happy and giggly in headspace. Some days will be crummy. They might cry, scream, throw a tantrum, have a panic attack/anxiety attack, feel extremely lost, scared, or depressed. Icky feelings from their big headspace might translate to their little space. A good caregiver will be there for them no matter what. They're there to give you a safe space and help you rest your pretty head after a long day.

These are just some of the things I could think of off the top of my head. I'm still learning to be a cg myself, so any additions would be greatly appreciated!

Question for age regressors and those who are comfortable letting their system littles front - does anyone have advice or resources or anything like that for ways to feel more comfortable with regressing? I think we have a mix of alters who regress along with littles in general and... We have a super hard time relaxing or letting them front.

We get really anxious and guilty about it like we're doing something bad, even knowing there isn't anything wrong with it as long as we stay safe. When we regress we fight it, and when a little fronts there is Always an older alter to not only help do things for us but to "pass" as adult (which obviously the help part is fine bc we don't tell anyone or ask for help) and we tend to just get headaches or make our head hurt because we're terrified of being seen as younger and then being made fun of or rejected, even though nothing irl really points to that being a concern.

We are slowly getting better about regressing in private, and we have no trouble in indulging in "childish" things to an extent - kid's media, and toys and plushes kept in our room to look at. But even interacting with agere content online makes us feel ashamed even though it's also really really helpful for us to feel safe in that space. Honestly we would reach out and ask a help or resource blog directly if we didn't feel this anxious about the whole thing. Our impulse is to supress it, but we can't control it and usually when the littles come out it's because we need it, so we know it's unhealthy for us to completely ignore or work through it.

We aren't really sure how to close this because we're extremely nervous just posting this but... yeah. Basically if anyone has any posts they can link us with tips on working through this sort of thing, or a blog they can recommend who writes a lot on this sort of thing we'd really appreciate it. We tried looking up advice but usually it was more things to do when in that headspace which... Isn't helpful for us if we're too busy fighting it to actually use any of it.

What is age regression?

The literal definition of regression is “a return to a former or less developed state”. Age regression, then, is when a person mentally returns to a “less developed” state - a more childlike state. They feel little. You would interact and treat them how you treat an actual child: coddle them, encourage them, praise them, love them. Regression is a very vulnerable headspace and is completely safe for work for that reason.

Hello there! I’ve seen a lot of posts going around, defining different terms and communities that you might come across while exploring the age regression side of tumblr. However, I’ve never seen an overall guide, so I’ve set out to make an easy-peasy guide to all the complicated terms you might encounter! This guide includes 1) Minor-Safe Age Regression Communities, 2) Kink Tags, and 3) Common ‘DNI’ Terms.

Please let me know if there’s a term I’ve missed, or a community I’ve misrepresented! This is a pretty basic introduction to a lot of complex concepts, so if you have more questions please feel free to get in touch with me.

Even if you know the basics, this guide is probably worth a scan to see if there are any terms that you haven’t seen before, and you can also fact-check my writing while you’re at it, helping out anyone else who reads this in the future.

With that said, let’s get into it!

Part One: Minor-Safe Age Regression Communities

Age Regression: The term ‘age regression’ as an umbrella term that is used to describe any experience where a person returns mentally to childhood. It can be a coping strategy to deal with stress, a reaction to trauma or mental illness, or just a natural part of someone’s life. In tags, ‘age regression’ is often shortened to ‘agere’. (Be aware: kink communities also sometimes use ‘agere’ and ‘age regression’ tags! They aren’t inherently minor-safe or non-sexual, so use caution and common sense.)

CGLRE: Stands for ‘caregiver/little regression’. Cglre is one of the oldest regression communities that exists on tumblr, as well as one of the most popular. Cglre is controversial because it uses ‘littlespace’ terminology. (A regressor is called a ‘little’ and their caregiver is usually called ‘mommy,’ ‘daddy’ or similar parental titles.) Littlespace terms are used in cglre to describe regression, but they’re also used by kink blogs to describe submission. On the surface, this means that cglre looks similar to kink blogs, but most cglre members are very dedicated to being minor-safe, separate from kink, and discussing therapeutic, coping-related, non-sexual age regression.

(Note: CGLRE subcommunities and tags are abundant! The tags ‘liltot,’ ‘agere society,’ ‘nsre,’ ‘dxlg,’ and others are all cglre-based communities. You can find huge lists of cglre subcommunities on this blog because there are too many to cover here!)

CHIRE: Stands for ‘child regression.’ Chire evolved as a response to cglre, as a regression community that doesn’t allow littlespace terminology, or interaction with blogs who allow it. Because of the harsh lines they draw between communities, they are also a controversial group, but many people have positive experiences with it!

Non-Comm Regression: Short for ‘non-community regression.’ Non-comm regressors don’t identify as part of cglre, chire, or any of the smaller sub-communities that exist under age regression. Often, they interact with multiple communities, as well as with other non-comm regression blogs.

Pet Regressors: Some people feel less like kids when they regress, and prefer to identify as animals! ‘petreg’ or pet regression is the word for people who regress as animals. This might be connected to otherkin identities (people who self-identify as something not human, possibly an animal or possibly something more abstract) or might just be their own way of regressing!

Age Dreaming: Age dreaming, which is sometimes shortened to ‘agedre,’ is a minor-safe community focused on recapturing childhood outside of regression. Age dreamers take comfort in childish and nostalgic things while not mentally regressing (or not fully regressing, depending on the age dreamer).

System Littles: The term ‘little’ has a different meaning when applied to someone in a system. A ‘system’ is formed from a variety of experiences, including childhood trauma and dissociative disorders, when a mind copes by developing rifts in their memory and personality, forming different people within one body as they grow older. This collection is called a system. System members may interact with age regressors for multiple reasons. Firstly, some systems have littles, which doesn’t refer to an age regressor when it’s used about a system member. A system little a system member who is a child, contained within an adult body. Some system littles find community in age regression spaces, but most prefer to keep separate from agere groups. Secondly, some system members are age regressors, or ‘age-sliders,’ which is an experience kind of like regression, but is specific to system members. So systems have all kinds of reasons to be part of the age regression community!

SFW Agere: This means ‘safe for work age regression.’ This usually means ‘non-sexual age regression’ or ‘minor-safe age regression,’ but not always! Please see the sections on ‘sfw kink’ down below.

Dual-Comm: Short for ‘dual community’. People call themselves ‘dual-comm’ regressors if they are sfw age regressors that also participate in kink communities in their adult headspace. People with sfw regression blogs might indicate that they are dual-comm regressors so that people can block them if that makes them uncomfortable, or because it is an important part of their relationship to regression, even if they don’t post about it on their regression blog.

Part Two: Kink Tags and Communities

(Note: I won’t go as deeply into kink communities because I’ve created this guide for age regressors, and want to mention kink groups mostly to raise awareness of what can’t be reblogged onto a minor-safe regression account.)

Cross-Tagging: The act of ‘cross-tagging’ is when someone tags a post with both minor-safe community tags like ‘cglre’ and kink community terms like ‘ddlg.’ This is bad because it exposes minors to kink communities, which is dangerous for everyone involved. It also might expose regressed people to sexual content, which can be triggering depending on their experience of age regression. That’s why it’s important to know which tags belong to kink communities, so you can block and avoid them if you want to have a minor-safe regression blog!

Age Play: ‘age play’ is an umbrella term for any kink dynamic in which one person consents to being treated as a child for the purpose of submission.

DDLG/CGL: Stands for ‘daddy dom/little girl’ and ‘caregiver/little,’ respectively. These are kink communities that use littlespace terminology to talk about sexual relationships. There is also ‘mdlb’ which stands for ‘mommy dom/little boy,’ and same-gender variants like ‘mdlg’ and ‘ddlb’. (If you run a minor-safe tumblr blog, it is very important to have all of these tags blocked so that you don’t accidentally reblog from an unsafe source!)

ABDL: Stands for ‘adult baby diaper lover.’ This is a kink community centered around diapers. They might also identify with the term ‘omorashi’ or use it as a tag on their posts.

SFW Kink: Stands for ‘safe for work kink.’ This can be used to refer to non-explicit kink posts or to platonic, non-sexual kink. Either way, kink being ‘sfw’ does not mean that it is minor-friendly!

NSAP: Stands for ‘non-sexual age play,’ which is an approach to age play often (but not always) linked to coping with stress, rather than explicit sexual gratification.

(Note on non-sexual age play: There is a misconception in the age regression community that all kink is inherently sexual. Some people use age play as a coping strategy without involving sexual elements. That said, even non-sexual age play isn’t minor-safe because it is still a power-play dynamic that minors cannot (and should not) consent to. I say this because it is important to a) not cross-tag nsap with minor-safe communities and b) not bring power-play into sfw agere spaces. If you are an adult and you are more drawn to the rules and discipline of littlespace, please explore on the non-sexual kink side so that we can foster a safe space without power dynamics for minor regressors!)

Part Three: Common DNI Acronyms

Content Warning: mentions of transphobia, eating disorders, and pedophilia.

(Note: We’ve already covered a lot of the acronyms that you might see on people’s DNI in Parts One and Two. Here are some more you might see. As a general rule, if you’ve never seen the term before, it probably doesn’t apply to you, but it’s always best to Urban Dictionary an unfamiliar word!)

DNI: Stands for ‘Do Not Interact.’ A list of communities that a person doesn’t want to interact with their content, usually for personal comfort. It is always important to read a person’s DNI and respect it. A person’s DNI can be on their post in the form of a banner/image, or in their blog description, their ‘BYF’ (Before You Follow) page, or linked in their blog description as a ‘carrd.’

TERF: Stands for ‘Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist’. TERFs are threatened by trans women in feminist spaces, and believe that womanhood is intrinsically linked to biological femininity (ie. having a womb).

SWERF: Stands for ‘Sex-Work Exclusionary Radical Feminist.’ SWERFs believe that sex work is inherently linked to sexism and gendered violence, and that women cannot freely make the choice to engage in sex work. Some SWERFs believe that women who make this choice are encouraging sexist objectification.

Transmed/Truscum: These terms refer to someone who believes that being transgender must be linked to dysphoria and a desire to medically transition.

Anti-Mogai: The term ‘MOGAI’ stands for ‘marginalized other genders and intersex’ and refers to a community of trans/gender-nonconforming people who use very specific and personal titles to describe their gender. People who are anti-mogai are often part of the transmed community.

Ace Exclus: Short for ‘ace exclusionists,’ it means someone who believes that asexual or aromantic people shouldn’t be welcome in LGBT spaces.

REGs: stands for ‘reactionary exclusionist gatekeepers’ and is an umbrella term for all of the groups above: pretty much, anyone who ‘gatekeeps’ (limits) who gets to be part of the LGBT community.

Anti: I’m not sure what this is actually short for, but I always think of it as ‘anti-ship’. An ‘anti’ is someone who believes people shouldn’t be engaging with problematic media and ships (such as racist media, pedophilic ships, and fanfiction that romanticizes abuse).

Anti-Anti: An anti-anti is someone who doesn’t agree with the above people.

Endogenic Systems/Anti-Endogenic Systems: There’s big debate about whether it’s possible to have a system (see ‘system littles’ in section one) that isn’t formed in response to trauma. The term ‘traumagenic system’ refers to a system created by childhood trauma. ‘Endogenic system’ means a system that is not related to trauma.

Pro-Ana/Thinspo: Stands for ‘pro-anorexia’ and ‘thin inspiration,’ respectively. This is a community based on the encouragement and romanticization of eating disorders. Understandably triggering to a lot of people!

MAP: Stands for ‘Minor Attracted Person,’ which is another word for pedophile (adult attracted to children). Tumblr has an unfortunate community of pedophiles who choose not to seek treatment, and take pride in their identity. They use a miscellany of titles, which is important for people to research and block for safety, especially in age regression circles where there are a lot of vulnerable minors. (Note: If you experience persistent attraction to minors, please talk to a professional about it.This is not your fault but it is your responsibility.)

Littlespace: Some people list ‘littlespace’ or ‘non-system littles’ in their DNI to block kink blogs that use littlespace terminology, as well as CGLRE and related communities that use the same terms. These people aren’t always insinuating that the two groups are the same, but rather that those words make them uncomfortable. So it’s important to respect that if you use littlespace terminology on your regression blog!

18+: This confuses people all the time. Ninety-nine percent of the time, if a person has ‘DNI if 18+’ on their post, they mean don’t interact if you run a minor-unsafe, 18+ only blog, not ‘if you are over the age of eighteen’. (That said, there is a one-percent chance that they actually mean that it’s a minors-only post, so do check if you’re unsure!)

I don’t expect you to remember everything you’ve read, but this guide will be here if you ever want to come back to it to check on a new and confusing term. I’ve spent years being confused by all of these different labels, and there are new ones coming out all the time, so don’t worry about screwing up every once in a while! #1 - What is age regression? What’s the difference between age regression and CGL?

(Definitions by urban dictionary)

Age regression is a psychological state in which someone's mindset will go into a previous state for a period of time. They will feel, think, and behave younger, most commonly as a toddler or little kid. Age regression is a coping mechanism and can be involuntary or voluntary. It can be used to cope with past/current trauma, mental or physical illnesses, general stress, and so on. It can also be used as a coping mechanism for those who've had missed or bad childhoods or who experienced forced maturity as a way to positively relive or reclaim that part of their life. This type of coping mechanism is suggested by some therapists, and accepted or encouraged by many others. Some regressors also have caregivers who take care of them when regressed and this relationship is referred to as CGLRE (caregiver and little regressor)

CGL, or cg/l, is a power exchange relationship in which one person is the caregiver or "daddy/mommy" and the other is childlike. It is NOT a relationship between an actual parent and child or any minor (if sexual). This is a type of BDSM relationship that may or may not involve sex, but often involves play with child-like things, such as stuffed animals, bed-time stories, and spankings. The little part of the relationship is often called the "little one."

#3 - What is crosstagging? Why is it bad?

Crosstagging is when you use both nsfw/kink tags and sfw/age regression tags on the same post and account.

Crosstagging is bad for both the age regression community and the kink community.

It exposes minors to kink and leaves them vulnerable to being harassed and sexualized. Exposing anyone to nsfw content without consent is not good, especially minors.

A lot of regressors are also recovering and coping and do not want to sexual things in their safe space because it can make them super uncomfortable and could even trigger them.

It also brings minors into adult communities and invades their sexual safe space.

In general crosstagging isn’t good because something therapeutic and kid friendly shouldn’t be mixed with sexual content.

#4 - What is a DNI? Why are they important?

DNI means Do Not Interact and interacting is anything like following, liking posts, messaging, commenting, etc.

So a DNI is a list of people that the accounts creator doesn’t want on their account.

The reason people have them is that regressors are on their age regression account to feel safe and so they can be open about their regression and want to feel secure on their account and having a DNI keeps out unwanted people!

Sometimes people have them so they don’t accidentally see something that could trigger them since a lot of regressors are extremely vulnerable and could be coping from trauma which is very sensitive. So if you follow age regression accounts you should always read their DNI out of respect and just to make sure your keeping their safe space safe!

❥Age regression is a coping mechanism where someone regress or goes into a younger state of mind to cope with trauma, stress, or simply for fun! It's non sexual and not kink. Not under the BDSM umbrella!

❥Under the BDSM umbrella. Sometimes uses Ageplay to roleplay relationships between a parental unit and a child. Many different names are under it such as MDLG, DDLB, MDLB, and CGL. DDLG cannot be nonsexual due to it being under a kink community and has been kink for 10+ years.

『❀』CGL

❥Under the BDSM umbrella. Considered the gender neutral of all the BDSM communities under the DDLG and Age Play banner. It is considered kinkster and many of its tags prior to tumblr bans were filled with NSFW and BDSM community cross tagging.

『❀』CGLRE

❥Cglre is the age regression counter part of CGL. CGLRE is the gender neutral and also where CG dependent regressors express themselves. Many communities refuse to interact with Cglre due to the cross tagging that BDSM communities do with Cgl. However, CGLRE is a completely valid portion of AGERE. However, the OG pages have seen changed tags to avoid cross tagging.

『❀』Dreamer/Age Dreaming/Pet Dreaming/Agedre

❥A practice/headspace/experience that is highly diverse. Much like dreaming when we are asleep. Headspace used when they feel as though it does not allign with traditional AGRE. Nonkink and nonsexual.

❥Typically words used for a regressor. i.e. the person that is going into the younger state of mind. Not to be confused with sub or submissive which is from kink and BDSM

❥Typically used in kink however over time AGERE have used it to identif someone who is both a caregiver and a regressor.

『❀』Caregivers/Mommy/Daddy

❥Caregivers are the person who typically take care of regressors or enjoy being in a caring or taking care of mindset. Not to be confused with the kinkster portion involving dom. Which stands for dominate and takes from kink and BDSM.

❥Age play is where someone roleplays relationships between parental unit such as daddy/uncle/mommy with a child. Roleplay being of a sexual nature. ❥Where someone regresses into a younger state of mind. It's a coping mechcanism and is completely nonsexual.

『❀』MAPs/Glovergender/Trans-age/etc.

❥MAPs or Minor Attracted Person have many variants such as NOMAPs (non offending minor attraction person), SOMAPs (semi offending minor attracted person), etc. Clovergender/trans-age are people who identify as a younger age than they are and thus can be attracted to children/below the age of consent. Regardless of labels people use the are all the same thing in the end: pedophiles. Sometimes they try to interact with AGERE please be aware.

❥Dual is someone who is both in AGERE and Kink. It's basically where someone within their private life or bedroom (being sexual) engage in DDLG. However, their coping mechanism or outside of it is nonsexual and AGERE. 100% valid!(edited)

❥Not inherently kink terms. DDLG uses them yes but it's not suddenly kinky to call your CG Mom. Please don't harass people for using these terms.

❥Otherwise known or assosiated with sexual addiction by the general public, "it is defined as a dysfunctional preoccupation with sexual fantasies. Often combo-ed with obsessive pursuit of casual or non-intimate sex, porn, compulsive masturbation; romantic intensity and objectification partner sex." (Source: Psychocentral) Usually hypersexuality is brought on by trauma or sexual assault. Some regs can undergo sexual thoughts or sexualize their own regression due to this illness. Regs like these are valid, they usually do not mean to sexualize their own regression, and do this in reaction to their pasts. ❥ P.E.A.R,aka “pro-expression, anti-repression" was a term coined by well known pedophile 4-lung. It's a new term used by MAPs and Pedophiles. They also use the emoji or pear name to identify each other!

❥Involves someone who regresses and goes into a triggering space for the reg. This is not happy regression but can be important to those experiencing it. Through impure regression people have the ability to observe and deal with it in a safe environment so people can deal with it outside of regression. It can be triggered by depression, anxiety, trauma, flashbacks, mental illness, etc. It's entirely involuntary and something that just happens. This usually results from past trauma and can involve sexualization, panic attacks, fits, crying, flashbacks, etc. w/ regression. It is 100% valid! Please keep it in Big channels though!
