barley came to elias to help his brother find a magical phoenix gem. the gem will hopefully bring their father back.

while in elias, barley has begun to build a life for himself. for so long he worried about ian’s needs, wants and desires, filling in a role of a father that ian needed. it meant his own needs fell to the wayside and now he’s allowing himself to be a little selfish.

he’s figuring out what he wants and who barley lightfoot really is. while the search for the phoenix gem is important, barley is also happy that for once he can put himself first. 

he’s found a father figure in howl - which he didn’t know he needed.

he’s just doing a lot of healing ( kinda !! ) and having fun and also having a crush on a girl which is wild to him !!!

past !!

tw: barley’s past mentions parental death, weight loss and cancer mention 

barley lightfoot, the oldest son of wilden and laurel lightfoot, is not exactly his mother’s pride and joy. he’s more of a headache but loved nonetheless. when barley was four years old his father died of cancer. h only has three memories of his dad: One, that he had a scratchy beard, two he danced funny and there he used to play drums on his foot. 

many think that the passing of wilden only affected ian because barley held it together and let his optimism shine through when in reality barley has three memories of his father. his last one being he was too afraid to say goodbye to him which lead barley to vow to never be afraid again of anything. 

being raised by a single mother, barley took it upon himself to become not only an older brother but a father figure of sorts to ian. he taught his brother everything he knows. from riding a bike to shaving his face ( if ian ever grows facial hair hehe ! ) his entire life was really dedicate to taking care of ian. his brother was so much more anxious and quiet than barley. he’s always been there to give ian an extra push even if he comes off as overbearing.

and while ian was golden, barley was seen as the screw up. his mom’s boyfriend likes to say it the most. he wasn’t as smart as ian or gentle. he was like a hurricane - reckless. he was smart in other ways but that didn’t really matter when it came to academics. in high school he didn’t have many friends. he was an outcast who played d&d, listened to rock music and believed in magic when no one else in new mushroomton did. no one really paid him any mind - certainly not girls. barley wasn’t exactly their idea of what attractive was. he was a nuisance around town. annoying barley lightfoot.

barley tried his best to be the best version of himself for ian. if everyone thought he was a screw up he didn’t care but ian’s opinion on him did. so when he dropped out of college it felt like the picture he had began to paint was now being ripped at the seams.

the summer after he dropped out of school that’s when things began to change for barley that summer he got hot. with time on his hand his mother begged him to find something else to do other than trying to save ancient magical sites or sitting in the basement all day playing games. so he turned to the gym to get into superhero shape for fun and came out with a six pack. that’s when people began noticing him. barley wasn’t a fan of his new found attention on his looks. 

life didn’t really change for barley until ian’s twenty-first birthday. it was a big day! bigger than barley expected because their father had left a special gift for ian. wilden had left a spell to bring him back. while magic was not used in new mushroomton for years, barley had held onto the hope that it still existed. to know his brother could be a super cool wizard was amazing! ian breaking the phoenix gem .. not so much. thankfully, barley had extensive knowledge on the quest of yore and knew that the only other place that had a phoenix gem was the manticore tavern which just so happened to be in elias, california. so barley packed him and ian up into his trusty van guinevere and began their grand adventure. 

future !!

i’m wanting barley to realize he’s gotta pour into his own cup as well as others. for so long he’s put so much devotion into ian and i need barley to know he did a good job. he did the best he could while trying to parent himself and his younger sibling because NO ONE gives you a book on how to do that shit. i’d just want him to believe in himself. he fell off thinking he was a screw up which isn’t true. i’m hoping barley will grow some confidence in himself. 

also work through his feelings with his dad’s passing .... baby you need to HEAL. it’s okay to feel sad. let’s not repress. 

in the future he’ll use his big imagination and become a videogame designer. there he will be able to use elements of fantasy and creates worlds he’s only dreamed of just as he did during d&d campaigns.

zian was born in chicago, illinois. he was the youngest of the two lapointe children and he was also the more rambunctious one. despite being incredibly intelligent zian has always found ways to get into trouble in school; that ability both dumbfounded and frustrated his professors. his impulsive nature and quick-witted tongue always got him sent to detention, suspended for a couple of days, or home with a letter that his parents had to sign.

tw: child abuse mention things in his household were always a bit rocky. whether it was his parents fighting with one another, his father drinking too much, him getting in trouble, or his father taking out his anger on him, something always seemed to be going down. he eventually he learned that life was going to end up kicking your ass one way or another so he might as well get used to it. he eventually stopped being nervous about upsetting his father.

tw: homophobia mention he was ten years old when he saw the movie the outsiders and had his first awakening. the moment his eyes landed on sodapop curtis, zian was a goner. he didn’t understand what he was feeling, especially after the shower scene, but he knew that he wanted to keep exploring these new feelings. somehow his father caught wind of what he was feeling and put a stop to it in the only way he knew how. he didn't stop trying to drill into zian that he ‘had to carry the family name one day’ with a kid of his own. zian learned to suppress these feelings as much as possible, but the thoughts still lingered in the back of his mind.

he’s not a quitter, something that he has proven again and again, especially when it comes to a fight. there are times were even when he’s getting his ass handed to him, he goes down swinging until he gets knocked out. he’s okay with losing just as long as he knows he gave it his all until the very end. he has a roommate that he gets along pretty well with which is still something that surprises him because he never thought anyone would be able to handle living with him for longer than an hour.

one day he wants to be a professional boxer and until that day comes he’s happy to be under the wing of a mentor he found in merrock. he knows he probably makes them want to scream sometimes because he can be very hardheaded and not exactly the easiest person to work with, especially train, but there’s no one else that zian could imagine would be able to take on the challenge. 

he actually really enjoys his job, despite not being much of a people person. he likes hearing the stories people tell him while they drink sometimes, and overall enjoys the way the bar feels like a little home to him.

OK SO, @sugarcoatedsadism, here’s my paracosm (sorry, this will be long, don’t feel obligated to read the entire thing):

I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma with my three older brothers, Darry, Sodapop, and Ponyboy (yes I know these are funny names) after our parents died in a car crash. Sodapop and Ponyboy are their real names. Says so on their birth certificates.

Darry (right) is the oldest; he’s my favourite of my brothers, he’s extremely overprotective and he’s grown up too fast after having to take care of us after our parents passed. He works too much, but it’s for our family. He’s 6’10 and very muscular. He is pansexual. Despite looking tough, he’s a big softie. He’s 21. Don’t underestimate his brain, though, Darry is also super smart. Played football in high school and was Captain. Nicknames include: Superman, Dar.

Soda (middle) is the second oldest; he is a high school drop out, he dropped out and got a job at the DX because 1. to help Darry with bills; and 2. because the only things he was passing were auto mechanics and gym. He’s like me; extremely energetic and can’t stop moving or talking. He’ll be 18 in October. He’s 6’2. Nicknames include: Pepsi, Pepsi-Cola, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, etc. Soda is also pansexual.

Pony (left) is the third oldest; he is very artistic (like me). He’s quite the “I’m 15 and no one understands me.” He likes poetry, art, and he LOVES watching movies. He’s kinda silent, but Soda or I can get him talking really quickly. He kind of thinks Darry hates him because they’re always fighting, but Darry just wants what’s best for us (I understand that, so me and Darrel don’t fight often.) He’s 15 and 5’8. Nicknames include: Pone, Pone-bone, and Horseman. Pony is bisexual.

Then… there’s me! Liam Curtis, the youngest of the four brothers. I’m 5’4, and I have shoulder length blonde hair (much longer than most boys). 14, very sarcastic, and a giggly bastard by nature. Wants to be an actor/singer, and a very animated child. Knows gymnastics (not a big flex, everyone else in the gang does, too). Has a stutter, but it’s gotten much better and it only sometimes happens and usually it’s not too bad. Is very gay and unapologetic. Darry is my favourite brother and I’m his favourite, too. Has night terrors and is part of a tv show. Nicknames include: Lee.

So we move on to the rest of the gang >:)

Here’s Dallas Winston. He’s the criminal of our gang. He’s real tough and has been to jail several times. He’s really scary and a little hotheaded, but like Darry, he has a soft side to him if he likes you. He’s gonna be 18 in December. He’s around 6’3 (but claims he’s 6’4). He lives with his friend Buck in the upstairs of a bar. He’s from New York and had a rough childhood. Nicknames include: Dal, and Dally. He’s also pansexual.

Here’s Johnny Cade! He’s Pony’s best friend and also part of our gang. He looks like a cinnamon roll (he kinda is) but he’s a fucking bad ass and isn’t afraid to defend himself. That scar on his cheek he got from getting jumped from a gang of Soc’s (Soc’s are the rich kids of Tulsa, us greasers are not so well off). His home life is rough, so the closest thing to real family is the gang. Johnny is 17 and 5’6. Nicknames include: John, Johnnyman, Johnnycake/Johnnycakes. Johnny is bisexual.

Here’s Steve Randle. Steve is Soda’s boyfriend. Steve works at the DX with Soda. Steve fucking LOVES cars. Like. Knows everything about them. Steve is um… kind of a hothead and is quick to anger. He once called Darry “all brawn and no brain” and he almost got his jaw shattered by Darry. Will challenge you to an arm wrestle. Has an eagle tattoo on his arm. He’s 18 and he’s 6’0. His mom left him when he was 8, and hasn’t seen her since she left him with his (verbally) abusive father. Steve is bisexual. Nicknames include: Stevie.

And… Two-Bit Mathews! Two-Bit is, uh, kind of an alcoholic. Really likes beer. Anyway, his real name isn’t Two-Bit, it’s Keith, but everyone calls him Two-Bit. Why? Because he always has to put his two bits in. He’s always cracking jokes, 24/7. He’s awful to get arrested with because he’s always smarting off to the cops. He’s turning 19 tomorrow and he’s 6’1. Two-Bit is pansexual. Nicknames include: Two.

We’re all in a greaser gang together, and we all are very protective of one another. Life has been kinda difficult since our parents passed, but we know we’ll get through it.

There were around six of them, all grinning at me like Cheshire cats, and I swallowed, trying to calculate my chances of surviving if they all jumped me at once.

I didn’t know what to do. I knew if I screamed, they’d pummel me. It might be too late before someone gets here. Ever since Bob died, the Socs have been more restless. Angry. Harmful.

I shouldn’t have been walking alone. I hadn’t even brought a wrench or anything from the DX to defend myself. It was fair game, and I was bound to lose.

One of them moved, and I reacted too fast. They all lurched, grabbing my arms and pinning me down faster than I could fight back. I couldn’t escape, kick and try as I did.

I only remember bits of it. I think I might have hit my head, because I blacked out at some point. All I knew was that I was there for what seemed like hours. All the anger over Ponyboy was beaten into me, and I might have cried, I can’t remember.

It stopped suddenly, I heard shouting and running and a car engine starting and whirring away, and footsteps walking over to me.

I mumbled a plea to stop, to let me go. Hands touched me again and I winced. They were rough and cool, but they held my head off the ground softly.

“Sodapop, can you hear me? Soda?”

Dally.

I could barely speak, I tried to make a noise but nothing escaped my throat. I couldn’t move my hands, or anything else. I could barely keep my eyes open.

“It’s okay. Hey, stay awake for me okay? It’s gonna be okay, Pepsi-cola.”

I would have smiled at the nickname if I could. My whole body was numb, but still seemed to burn with pain as he helped me stand, slinging my arm around his shoulder.

I stepped forward and then yelled out. It felt like I’d broken my ankle, maybe my foot.

“Shit”

I felt the same way as Dally. I couldn’t explain this to Darry.

“Okay, I’m gonna try to lift you up. Is that okay?”

I nodded as best I could, tensing as I felt his arm under my knee and another around my back before being lifted off the ground.

He was so warm. I was freezing, I realized, it was cold and I was cold and he was so warm and strong and I leaned into him unconsciously.

He tensed as I had done earlier before starting to walk.

We must have made it to my house because I heard a door open. I heard voices, they were all too loud, I buried my face in Dallys jacket. Too loud, too much.

I couldn’t remember much after that either. I remembered clinging to Dally as if he were a life raft. I remember being taken from his arms, and then being put back there. He smelled nice, like whisky and cinnamon.

I remember stinging, all over. Aching too. My foot hurt like hell. I remember crying, just a little, holding tight to Dally.

I remember waking up. It was morning, I could see the sun through the window. I was in my bed-I wondered how I got in my bed. I wondered who’s arms I was in.

Dally.

I looked up to see him asleep. He seemed to have dark circles under his eyes, his arms were wrapped around me protectively, hugging me to his chest. I didn’t want to move.

Pony walked in and started, running out again when he saw my eyes open. I closed them again. The sun hurt.

I could hear Darrys heavy footsteps coming down the hall and I winced. I knew what was coming, a lecture for walking home alone, for not bringing a switch, for-being in Dallys arms?

The door opened and I could feel Darrys hand on my forehead. Like he did when me or Pony was sick. Weird, I wasn’t sick. Why was I still in Dallys arms?

“Hey, buddy, you awake?” Darrys voice was gentle, and I stirred and opened my eyes.

“Who’s sick?” I asked.

Darry smiled, a hint of sadness. “You are, Pepsi-Cola. Scared us all half to death with that fever.”

I pushed away from Dally. “What?”

“You’ve been sleeping on and off for almost a day, we couldn’t get a complete sentence out of you-you just kept asking for Dally, you wanted Dally.” Darry stopped and rubbed his eyes. “Dal told us what happened-you must’ve hit your head or something, gotten a concussion, you’ve had a bad fever. You seem to be okay now.”

Dally stirred under me and I looked up at him again, his eyes opened and he looked down at me and then back to Darry.

“Is he okay?”

Darry nodded. “He’s okay. Just woke up a minute ago.”

Dally looked back down at me. He seemed to be debating something, and then he gently moved me off of him and stood up.

“I should go.” His eyes were tired, he sounded drained and stressed. Darry nodded.

“Thank you. For staying.”

Dally nodded and didn’t even look back at me before he slipped out the door.

I wanted to yell for him. I missed his warmth already, I missed his arms around me. I wished I was sick again, so that he would hold me. My whole body ached, I felt sick, my head hurt.

I slept again, more restlessly this time.

It had been a week. I could stand now, my head hurt less. I had grown to be embarrassed of how I clung to him.

He was on the porch, smoking. I walked out there, still in my pajamas and with bed-hair, a bandage around my ankle. He didn’t even glance at me as I sat down next to him.

It was silent for a moment before I spoke.

“Thank you.” I thought that was the right thing to say.

He blew smoke out towards the fence. “For what?”

“For-uh-for staying. With me. The other day.” I looked down. I wasn’t wearing any shoes.

He didn’t answer, so I continued. “I’m sorry for-keeping you there, I didn’t, I wasn’t-lucid. I wouldn’t have asked you to stay-not that I mind-but not like that, you know what I mean-and thank you for saving me and for chasing the Socs away and-“

“Shut up.” He spoke quietly, dangerously.

I shut up. It was silent for another minute. I worked up the nerve to speak again.

“I’m sorry-“

“If you don’t shut up right now Sodapop Curtis I am going to kiss you until you do.”

I nearly fell off the porch. I think he did too, realizing what he had said and instantly regretting it. For some reason I hated that he regretted it.

“I mean-that’s not what I meant” he managed finally, and I sat there. My head felt heavy. I felt tired. I wished he would kiss me.

“I wouldn’t be opposed” I said quietly, still staring at my feet.

It went dead silent then, I’m pretty sure even the wind stopped moving for a second. I didn’t even breathe.

I turned, slowly, to look at him. His cigarette had been dropped in the grass below us, still smoldering. He was watching me.

“I-“ I began, but he leaned over and kissed me.

I felt like I was flying. His lips were rough, chapped, he tasted sweet and tangy and wonderful. His hands were in my hair, I was clambering onto his lap and pulling him closer to me. I didn’t give one thought to anything before, anything after, I just flew with his lips against mine and our bodies pressed together and kissing each other hungrily like we were the last men on earth.

I pulled away first. It was wrong. I’m sure it said it somewhere, although in my book I had never felt more right than in that moment. To be honest, I was a little light headed.

“I-wow.” My voice was hoarse, quiet. He was watching me carefully. As if he had done something wrong. How did I tell him that that’s what I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing. I could barely form words.

“I’m sorry. I just-I thought something else.” He spoke quickly, coldly as if he had offended me. He began to stand up.

“No-no, Dally-it was wonderful, I lo-it was great, I promise, thank you.” I didn’t know quite what to say. Did I thank him? For kissing me? I felt like I should.

His gaze hardened. “Don’t.”

“What?” My voice was barely a whisper now.

“Don’t act. If you’re not going to-“ he stopped and turned away again. I grabbed his hand.

“I like you. I do, really. I promise.”

He looked at me again, searching my face. I begged him not to leave. Not again.

“You should eat something. Breakfast. Lunch.” He spoke finally. I nearly cried with relief.

“Will you come-do you want to eat?” I nearly kicked myself a second after. He was clearly trying to get rid of me.

He looked at me and smirked.

“Sure, Sodapop. I’ll come.”

 curly later gets hauled in for getting into a bar fight

 so he misses ponyboy’s graduation

ponyboy loves curly more than anything and he knows curly loves him just as much

but he also knows it won’t work

so he visits curly in jail 

he keeps his emotions under control while he’s there like he always has had to do living on the east side

he tells curly that he’s leaving in a few weeks 

curly, who has always been closed off about his emotions, pleads with ponyboy to stay through tears

ponyboy loves curly but he can’t stay in this town anymore

and curly can’t seem to bring himself to leave it

so they break up

he sees curly once more before he leaves

he’s out with his friends for the last time before he leaves when he sees curly, fresh out of jail, with some of the shepard gang

their eyes meet and they hold each others gaze for a few moments

he can’t quite find the strength to talk to curly

ponyboy of course makes a smart comment about this which leads to steve rolling his eyes instead

not in a mean way though, almost sentimental, like he’ll actually miss ponyboy 

he drives around the town one more time before he leaves taking in everything and the memories, good and bad, he associated with his home

it’s a bittersweet feeling to leave behind his childhood but ponyboy thinks he’s ready

he almost drives to curlys just to see him one last time

 One Tree Hill: I am DYING for someone to play Nathan Scott against my Haley James-Scott. I’ve been looking for a good, solid, in-character Naley RP for what feels like forever and I would love to find one because I love them so much. I have about 4 years of experience playing Haley altogether and am looking for someone who is just as passionate about Naley, both as individuals and as a couple, as I am. 

 This is Us: I just watched the newest episode and I SWEAR, every new episode I watch of this show, I get the bug to spend some more time with the Pearsons. This is just one of the ways that I do that, typically. I will literally play the characters as fruit snacks if it means I get to play them at all. I don’t care XD Really, though, I am only confident enough thus far into the show to play Rebecca, Randall, or an OC that I’ve come up with for the show. This OC, without giving too much away, had a complicated home life in her youth and, therefore, spent most of her time with the Pearsons. As a result, she has really interesting dynamics with each of them. There is much more to her backstory and going forward if you’re interested, but I am looking to ship her with Kevin and, so, anyone playing him would be great. Titanic: I would play Rose here and am looking for someone to play Jack. I ideally would like to chronicle every last bit of their lives after the ship’s sinking in an AU where Jack survives. 

Shameless: I headcanon Fiona Gallagher as bisexual and am looking to catch up with her in Florida, so to speak, though the dating show thing will be thrown out the window completely. In MY canon for her, she has a girlfriend named Riley( my OC )who is Irish and lives in a house on the beach. Riley is artistic, free-spirited, and has a big dog. I would also be willing to play Mandy Milkovich, as I have some ideas for her and Lip. 

The Outsiders: I am looking for a Darry Curtis for this. My idea is basically he had a girlfriend who was a cheerleader in high school and they kinda broke away after he had to take care of Sodapop and Ponyboy. We can flashback to when they were in high school or play them as adults because I have ideas for that, too. 

 High School Musical: I would play Gabriella and am ideally looking for someone to play Troy as we explore their lives after college. Marriage, kids, etc. 

iCarly: Looking for a Freddie Benson. I have an OC named Olivia, who comes from a big family and is studying to be an astronomer. Her parents are really free-spirited and nice and, to be honest, I’m mainly excited to see how Freddie adjusts to that after everything we know about how his mother can be XD I would also be willing to do Seddie or Creddie if the idea is interesting enough. 

Big Time Rush: I’m ideally looking for someone to play Kendall. I have an OC( maybe? She’s still under-developed. ) or some ideas for Jendall. I think that’s it? Basically?
