CRITICAL ROLE CAMPAIGN 3 EPISODE 86 SPOILERS

RAHHH, SPOOKY LAKE MINI ARC!!!!!!

God. I fucking love you Matthew Mercer.

The back door is indeed a back door and while that is exciting, I honestly need us to table all theories.

First of all, Matt really did his big one with this campaign and all of the spooky horror elements that are scattered all over. The nightmare king, Laudna, Jrusar tbh, Uthodurn and the Savaliir woods, the creepy ass monsters and gjosts we keep running into, the GHOST PIRATES, the fucking shattered teeth as a whole, RUIDUS, and now this fuck ass lake.

The way Matt slowly built up the suspense and the intrigue of this odd abandoned town that started as just curiosity and location discovery to help us understand where in Exandria they were, and then slowly became an investigation into how...empty it was despite no signs of struggle or even a mass exodus to somewhere safe... and then the notes about the disappearances... how people were rumored to have just...walked into the water.

GOD IT WAS SO GOOD.

The way my heart dropped out of my ass when Liam used the stone to talk to Dorian (I don't wanna discuss that "I miss you" that definitely felt like an "I love you", I'm so upset rn Robbie please come home). I knew the stone wikldnt work because he'd already talked to Caleb (which !!!!! CALEB!!!!!!! AHHHH) but then Matt was like "you hear something outside, it's Dorian" and I just???? Almost shat myself when I understood what was happening.

It is...interesting that whatever is in that lake only affected FCG, Orym, Chettie and Ashton.... it can't just be that they weren't women because... that doesn't really make any sense so it must be something magic related? Because they were making charisma saves and the witches have either max charisma or amazing fucking charisma. (But so does FCG? I think? Whatever).

I loved everything about that battle and the lake but I especially loved Laudna's whole deal... Dread Pirate Queen Laudna fan art needs to flood my social media feed so much that I get sick of it (I wont). She's such a silly little guy I love her to bits. (We won't discuss she who must not be named except to say... she was kinda spitting during that whole later interaction)

Bowie and Raj were adorable as always 😭 I didn’t notice any conflict they might have which is good… but there were a few times Bowie looked like he disliked Wayne??? They better not fuck their relationship up by the end of this season.

Nichelle training and eating up the first challenge! I love her so much.

Chase and Emma broke up again! But Emma isn’t on the same team as Bowie this time 💔 I loved their friendship so much and I hope they get more moments.

Ripper has not farted once yet, thankfully. Unless I missed something? But that’s always great to see… I love his character already this season.

MK isn’t yellow anymore! Idk what else to say about that but it’s great they changed it.

Bowie seems really fun already, and I’m a little upset that we probably won’t get to see what his ending would have looked like.

Also… Priyemma so real??? Priya literally writing in her guide about how Emma is a good player and would be a perfect fit in a team or an alliance??? Picking her after Millie and then they both cheer about it??? Being worried about/cheering for each other during the first challenge? I didn’t expect them to get that much interaction this season but oh my god they’re so cute together!!! Literally canon idc. I love them. Favorite rarepair ever. Ok rant over.

In general, I really like that they showed how the characters interacted inbetween the seasons. Emma actually watching the show again like she said she would (but in a different context), Bowie and Raj talking about his strategy/“game plan” next time (they must have gone on that date!), Millie and Priya (attempting to) plan for the next season, Priya’s parents still making her compete and showing us what she did with the money, Nichelle actually training, etc. It’s so fun to see

SHAMELESS OPINIONS: S7 (cause Mickey's write off hurt and after s5, I watched again from s1 and forced myself to keep watching + no one around me likes Shameless so I need a place to vent)

overall: i actually loved it, had me pretty hooked all throughout

ok, i kind of like s7 Trevor, he's charming, got this lil sassy banter going off, he's cute and nice y'know. I just *HATE* that they so obviously tried to recreate some dynamics he had with Mickey straight away without letting us warmup to him, how can you deepthroat aspects built from 5 seasons into half of one??? No. Sorry. Him settling so quickly into the Gallagher house as if he's spent a decade there, idk. And the patient scene with Ian? foh man, no. 1x09 was special for a reason, and this would've played differently if Ian actually came to Mick if he was still around. They play out so much better as friends or fw/b ig but that deepthroat can't help me see a relationship between them. Not liking s8 Trevor so far, my god. Also his nonchalant attitude towards Monica threw me off. I get it, he's new and doesn't know much, Ian never mentioned her before apparently, but like "she's a lil crazy i can like her" eek, idk. Like almost downplaying his situation with her.

Caleb can suck my ass along with JW and his hate for bisexuals. My bi ass cannot approve. Cheater McCheater my ass. I can almost walk through Ian's ignorance cause for all he knew, Caleb was just gay, and I feel he said the bisexual thing out of frustration and betrayal towards his actions than actual disdain for the orientation, but yes. He was ignorant in his convo with Lip, and so was him anyway. I guess they just didn't know it is a thing. But thing is, I BET YOU ASSES that Caleb is the type of douche to STILL justify his actions even if JW didn't display his hate towards bisexuality in his writing, he just is *that* douchy. At least he motivated Ian to get his job, I'll give him that.

OH MY GOD THE THROUPLE... AND ITS SLOW BURN. it's hard cause you can understand both sides of the situation and it was just a clear issue of misunderstandings and miscommunication... I just wish they could've handled things better because I was really rooting for them. They fucking worked so well, with their little schedules and organization. I have such a fat crush on Isidora it's actually embarrassing. Anyway... I miss their dynamic. They deserved better.

Lip was a dick to Fiona about the Laundromat, but Fiona also just jumps the gut to these impulsive decisions, and I get that if she does ask for opinions, they probably won't agree with her, and it's not like I can blame lip, I mean look at the Club situation, yeah she made profit, but didn't break even, and that where his worry comes from. But at least, if she still approached him, and did it anyway against his say, he can't rub it in her face that this entails a family meeting and she can't just make those decisions without consultation. Overall, Lip was so arrogant and dickish with her, and for what... he couldn't even bring the money he so desperately wanted her to believe he could.

I love Sue. I just love EMT Ian stuff with all my life, idc what it is, I kick my feet cause he's so happy.

I fucking loved Carl and Mr. Luthers dynamic. Such an epic lil duo tbh.

I loved Frank's storyline here fsr 💀💀 it's so silly and he gets his way like always, but idk, I loved seeing his adventures at the shelter, he still remains a POS that's for sure.

I fucking LOVED seeing Debbie this season, I was a little disappointed last season cause there is so much lost potential on her pregnancy journey last time with where she was staying, but I fucking loved her here and putting her scamming skills to the test. Don't love how she ends up treating Neil in s8 cause... Well, I just feel bad for him, but also, if she really wanted to stay true to her convenience relationship, she probably should've stuck it out more so it lasted more, idk. But enough of that, I loved her setting a goal for herself at the end of the season, and I honestly commend Monica for helping her get Franny out of the house, I understand Derek's family's concern but they were so cunty in how they handled things.

Monica's death hit me like a truck... Idk why, there are so many mixed emotions here, she couldn't dare to tell the kids the real reason she was there, and all she wanted was to be there one last time. My heart goes out to her tbh.

Gallavich. Oh dear God. FERAL, FERAL EVERY TIME. it's like receiving crumbs and eating them up like a vacuum, nothing I can say that hasn't already been said... I just... Wow. Fuck. And to know that, after needing Noel for ratings, that this was gonna be the end for them? No, I could throw up. I couldn't imagine watching shameless as it aired with that knowledge in mind. FUCK ME THOSE TWO EPISODES I ATE THEM UUUP. anyway, I'm normal about Gallavich.

Lord bless Etta... my dear soul. 7x11 was vicious for that, my heart crumbled fr. I can see this was all in Fiona's best interest for Etta and stuff... It was just so sad to see.

Lip and Sierra, I don't really know what people's opinions are about Sierra but I kind of liked her? She was sweet, and had traces of boundaries with Lip even if the fucker attempted to break them every now and then. But she was sweet.

Lips second spiral was even harder than the first one to see. Him crashing at Helene's apartment, and she still doesn't seem to grasp that she essentially groomed him, and he's just so devastated still. Fuck.

That ending montage was truly a piece of cinema I tell you. It was beautiful.

I probably have more to say I don't remember but I really liked s7, not on the priority of a constant rewatch, but it was really good...and truly served as the finale it was meant to be. EXCEPT FOR GALLAVICH, holy fuck that would've pained the whole audience.

Here's my halfway coherent, shoot-I-wish-I'd-actually-write-all-of-this no-Order-66 universe I've been mulling over for like two or three years:

Dead Palpatine (the hows to determine)

Kit, Agen and Saesee are NOT dead

(Adi probably isn't either tbh bc I love Adi)

People are touchy about Anakin and he's kind of absent (left? is in prison for killing Palps? not killing Palps? for turning? anyway it's a Sensitive Subject) (in the interest of limiting angst he probably helped kill Palps and left to be with Padmé but is kinda bitter about all of it, that way Liberosis fits into this and I don't have to think about it too much. the point is, things are strained and remain that way for a while)

The world is absolutely not all unicorns and sparkles but it's getting somewhere. The Jedi are Very Tired and overworked and stressed but also they get to just sit and watch sunsets and that warms them up inside

A random Senator becomes Chancellor (not Bail, Padmé or Mothma). The Republic is still licking its wounds but at least it's there

The CIS kinda collapsed without Dooku or Grievous so there's a lot of independent systems but they're not united anymore and— boring stuff. The point is: an absolute metric ton of diplomatic missions for the Jedi

Many Clones decide to stick around and get sort of folded into the Order Antarian Rangers style (the others are very happy napping on a warm planet somewhere)

Shaak Ti and Stass Allie are on Kamino helping to raise/relocate all the Clone babies so they can grow up somewhere nicer (tbd - I've written a micro fic about this one so far)

Most Jedi ditch the armor (as do a few Clones) and get the baggiest, gigantest robes they can get away with. A few others keep the armor but like, engraved and decorated

Ahsoka comes back after a lot of thinking and gets knighted

Two Jedi who got stranded on a deserted planet during the war had a baby and the Organas adopt her (very important!!! and half written and lingering in my drafts - since like, two years ago)

Obi-Wan takes Katooni as his Padawan

Ahsoka takes either Petro or Reva as her Padawan a few years later (probably Reva)

Ganodi is either Stass' or Adi's Padawan I think

Zatt is either Kit's Padawan or Jocasta's

Petro is probably Aayla's (or maybe she picks Mari Amithest and Quinlan picks Petro.)

Gungi is Plo's Padawan

Byph is Luminara's (he's a precious little duckling and deserves to be CHERISHED okay)

Barriss gets help and healing

If Dooku isn't dead, then he spends the rest of his life in a cell playing dejarik with Obi-Wan and Yoda and having tea with them and bitterly regretting his choices (while struggling to come to terms with Yoda's forgiveness and love especially - I've got a couple of very short fics toying with the idea on here and Ao3 I think)

Maul probably gets the same kind of treatment? Then I imagine he escapes and goes back to Dathomir and then to some desert to have 274 identity crises about stuff (he might also just be dead sadly - but if not he def gets to have more encounters with Obi-Wan)

Ki-Adi takes O-mer as his Padawan and Mace takes either Jinx or Tai Uzuma, in which case Cin takes Jinx (yeah, Mace and Tai, definitely. That way Caleb gets to hang out with her)

Either Shaak Ti or Bultar Swan takes Ashla

Caleb is still with Depa, Cal with Jaro, and Trilla with Cere

I want to find Masters for Ran Deezy and Farn Klin and their siblings (because they each seem to have a twin which!!! I LOVE!!! okay they could just be from the same species and not be related but idc) but I'm coming up kinda short so Agen for Farn, Rig Nema for Ran, Tiplee for Farn's twin, Eeth (who didn't left, comics can gtfo) for Ran's twin

Korkie is Duke of Mandalore (which is ALL ABOUT PACIFISM, AGAIN, because I want it that way. The Jedi drop by to say hi and help sometimes. It should be noted that he's not Obi-Wan's kid.)

The Jedi keep running into Hondo who loves them and therefore loves to make trouble for them (hey, I actually wrote that one!)

Boba is a precocious mercenary/bounty hunter trying to get noticed by some big clients like the Hutts and every so often he runs into some Clones or Jedi and a little angst ensues

A lot of time and writing is dedicated to how deeply fcked the war was and how tired and sad everybody is

BUT

like twice that is about chilling in the gardens, planting things, watching grass grow, sleeping and rebuilding and how happy and lively the children are

Yoda privately cries when he realizes that his vision of a world at peace (the one he had to let go of) did come true - and didn't. The world isn't as perfect as he dreamed but it's infinitely better because it's real

Obi-Wan and Cody get to have buddy comedy solo missions

Same for Obi-Wan and individual Council members. Just hijinks all around

It is very important to me that Cody chaperones a bunch of Jedi babies going to Ilum (probably Clan Bear? but also I want it to be like 10+ years down the line so he can complain about being too old for this shit even tho he's 23 - I WANTED TO SEE CODY WITH THE YOUNGLINGS AND GRIEVOUS ROBBED ME OF THAT)

Oh also Cody was made a General after the war and immediately retired from the army. For no other reason than I think he deserves it

Idk how Qui-Gon fits into all of this so for now his only purpose is to make Dooku angst some more but in a cathartic way

Padmé occasionally drops by with the twins - and vice-versa once Anakin is either free or over himself - and Yoda is their favorite person in the world. They're not being trained as Jedi and they kinda resent it a bit but they're doing fine. They see Uncle Bail and Aunt Breha pretty often, and Aunt Sola and Uncle Darred and Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru regularly, and they're besties with Ryoo, Pooja, and Bail and Breha's adopted Jedi daughter

Some quiet domestic moments where, say, Reva comes up to the slightly older Katooni & friends to get some help with her hair because she wants to do it like Tai's but is too shy to ask directly bc Tai is intimidating, but Katooni is obviously stumped so they try to find some Masters, and the first they come across are like Stass and Shaak Ti who also don't really know how to help, and it's Luminara and Cere who save the day

Quiet Master-Padawan moments in some of the smaller Temples, learning to meditate and be in the moment

A weird period of time before Ahsoka is officially knighted where she just hangs out with Obi-Wan and repairs her relationship with him. In the years after she is knighted but before she takes her own Padawan, she mostly stays with Obi-Wan and Katooni and he's having early days of the war flashbacks with his 'two' Padawans

Animal friendship. 80% of all Jedi missions involve it

I just got back from the hospital (don't worry I'm fine lol) and all I can think about is witteclaw/cavelyn. It's like a disease. Losing my mind over them.

Here's some brain dumps I had. Small ideas n headcanons and I was rambling on discord so

basically there's a festival celebrating Bonesborough's founding and people would gather and engage in a huge feast, dancing in the street, games, and at the end when it gets dark they'd send light glyphs or balls of fire into the air. And they'd also wear horned skull masks (resembling the titan sort of? But just in the sense that they're animal heads, centicore skulls etc), covered in flowers, vines, and other ornaments on their faces with bones and teeth and jewelry on their clothes, and sometimes swap masks mid dance. And I had a thought that caleb and eve went to one his first year there and he fell in love with it.

Ough imagining another date i vaguely thought about. they went to this place that's mostly hot springs. Not too deep, but deep enough to submerge and relax for a bit. It was then she realized he could not stay in a hot spring for as long as her and pretty much had to immediately get out due to it being too hot. Cause she's half demon (particularly fire based), she can deal with the heat for much longer. But they still had a very fun time ❤️

2. QUEENCARDS!! They carried this entire season idc. I would love if the writers expanded on them. Also the part in the finale where MK was the only one rooting for her 'friend'. OMG like we could get good angst from them I swear Julia was robbed! 😭

3. Oh that.....😒 Ripaxel ruined it for me. They had no chemistry in the first season and it was so random that they had them together. I tried imagining how this ship will play out but it's just a no for me.. Axel deserves better.

Caleb killed these last two episodes. idc what anyone says i have always liked lucas as a character and i feel he doesn’t get enough recognition. Since season one the only thing most viewers didn’t like about him was that he didn’t like or accept El in the party which was understandable due to the fact that he really wanted to find Will and felt as tho she was just wasting their time and lying to them. however, the growth between their friendship was beautiful to watch and his development was also great. I think he shined the most in season 3 & especially this season. Season 3 in coming up with the fireworks idea and him just always being brave enough to suggest anything that might help. this season though, i haven’t seen a lot of people talk about his performance specifically that scene with Max. The way he reacted to seeing her in the air, his desperation in wanting to get her help as soon as he saw she was dying, his sob and frustration of not being able to do anything while holding her, him telling her “no no” , the “erica help” which was actually improvised by Caleb (so i heard), never letting go of her, the fight between him and jason, although he was getting pretty beat up he still fought and got jason in the end eventually, him acting as Vecna?! hello omg. overall Caleb is an amazing actor and he deserves to be praised for his performance this season. He’s just as talented and plays a big part of the cast and characters as the rest of the amazing talented cast. this show seriously has so many amazing talented artists. can’t wait to see what season 5 will deliver us. p.s. i’m gonna need that lumax movie date too cause wtf, y’all can’t have them make up and show their love for one another and then tear them apart like that. cmon now

Some ppl have been opening my eyes to Severen x Caleb x Mae in a new light. I can see Severen loving both of them like he loves Jesse and DB but both him and Mae hyper focusing solely on Caleb instead of each other. Like when I tell you that I have never been so emotionally and mentally drained from a show. For those 4 hours (I rounded idc) I sat there shaking and sobbing and just filled with dread bc it hit me that hard.

Eddie’s death was so tragic. I knew it was going to happen but was in denial before volume 2 came out. But that one scene where he was play fighting with Dustin was reminiscent of boromir and the hobbits and I just KNEW it was set in stone. He was such a hero and honestly it made me so sad to watch him suffer like that. His death wasn’t quick. I really don’t think he should’ve died because his character brought so much to this group. My poor boy deserved to stay alive and graduate.

Max’s entire demise hit me the hardest. My poor bby suffered as well and I just stood there in shock. The first moment her bones snapped I was devastated. And her being absolutely terrified at dying- I can’t: Like I knew she was at risk but I was also in denial. Not only that, but Lucas-

I can’t even begin to talk about Caleb’s performance. It was PHENOMENAL. Gut wrenching. I think he did so well this entire series. The scream he let out chilled me to my core. When he was begging Erica to help it made me sob even more. Caleb deserves so much praise for his acting this season.

Will deserved so much better. I hate that they used his character to bring up el and mike’s relationship. I do agree that they built up Will and mike’s chemistry to, for some fucking reason, just to throw it in everyone’s faces.

The entire car scene with Will and Mike I can’t. Noah’s acting was amazing and tbh this was where I first started crying I think. It made me sad that he went on that whole thing saying how Mike was the heart when in reality it is Will who is the heart of their group.

One other thing I am upset that they didn’t show was the Hawkins group mourning eddie. You’re telling me they didn’t film a scene showing the group going back and being shook at seeing Dustin crying over Eddie’s lifeless body? You’re telling me that Steve didn’t go straight to Dustin and comfort him like the good dad he is and try to pry him away as he is trying to hold back his own tears at the fact he lost a friend AND that his kid is so distraught and traumatized over this? Or Robin crying while nancy comforts her? Why didn’t they try taking his body back? I hate it.

Anyways yeah that’s my thoughts lol. I am so glad Steve made it through. And that Joyce and hopper are finally together and that hopper reunited with El. Very interested in seeing what s5 brings.
