helloooo i know i said this would be a one shot and it still might be but for now:

Jun used to do drag racing but when he met you, he decided it was too dangerous and did what he needed to go pro (you didn't ask, didn't have a problem with him drag racing, but you do infinitely like this skintight uniform more)

one of his favorite things to do is night drives with you - he lets you drive his car and just leans his head back, listening to you talk and tapping his fingers to the low beat of the music

he does the cackle from mousebusters when he passes someone on the track

he only accepts sponsorships and brand deals from companies he likes so his car is covered in cat food and toy companies, animations, and his favorite hot pot cookery brand

he doesn't get jealous when his competitors stare at you because he knows you're hot and wants everyone to look, but he draws the line when their eyes linger on certain parts of your body too long, pulling you into his car or over to the hospitality area to gently feed you tiny finger foods

he got a custom made sticker of your name that he put on the back of his car like a tramp stamp

when you wanted to learn how to race, he signed you up for safety classes and did all of them with you, took you to the track to practice whenever you wanted, and even let you drive his car for your first informal match

he fucked you on the hood of his car like once before a race, and after he wins by a landslide, he's convinced you're his good luck charm and wants to fuck you on or in his car before every race

he almost doesn't want you to watch him compete because he knows how nervous for him you get, but he also doesn't perform as well when you don't watch

the first thing he does when he wins is jump out of the car and bounce around until you make it to the track and kiss him stupid, and more than once, he's gotten a warning over the loud speaker to keep it pg because he gets too wrapped up in you and doesn't realize he's just hoisted you onto the hood of his car and spread your legs with his hips

no i have not... but i did just for you anon. usually i avoid will stetson vids cuz his translyrics often piss me off LOL. im aware the translyrics from this vid are written by breadbox rather than him, but his remind blue vid w translyrics by breadbox also pissed me off so....

also u didnt ask for my opinions but i love to blabber so im putting down my opinions 😋 it also ended up long af woops so sticking it under a read more

first off, wow will stetson has rly improved his vocals. ive listened to a few of his recent covers and hes way better nowadays than in this one. the high notes are kinda kicking his ass here, but thats fair. LTM is not an easy song to sing.

that aside this concept is very interesting.. since the lyrics are by breadbox, its very illuminating to see how he interprets the manga and ayano's character in general. which is important to me bc i am aware that he's like the only? kagepro youtuber out there i think.. or at least the most popular. meaning his content and interpretations have shaped recent english-speaking public opinion of kgpr's narrative whether for better or worse. and i care abt that kind of shit

OK ENOUGH NITPICKING THE CREATORS LOL um my thoughts on this entire video: most of it is very standard bread and butter ayano interpretation (sacrificing herself for her everyone etc etc), but its pretty interesting to me that they chose to expand on route m konoha's and ayano's relationship, which was something that was very, very barely touched on in the manga. like konoha gets fucking possessed and ayano doesnt say a word abt that like LOL this manga is.... yeah. its interesting that they wrote their relationship as konoha worrying about ayano, but ayano feeling like he is unable to relate to her. i dont necessarily agree or disagree with that interpretation cuz its something i hvnt really thought about, but i find that to be an interesting interpretive choice.

also the second verse + chorus is pretty confusing bc the verse references konoha and ayano, but then the chorus jumps back to ayano from two years ago cuz the chorus is "Girl, 16" (ayano is 18 in the present day of route m). tho i guess the manga never really specifies how long konoha and ayano had known each other??? so maybe they met when ayano was 16??? god this vid is making me very confused abt the manga LOLLL

i will say tho that the last chorus was very confusing to me. bc it showed LTM ayano, i was under the impression that it was about a route 1 ayano? but i was confused, cuz the lyrics were "Girl, 18", and no route 1 ayano ever makes it to 18 (also when i say route 1 ayano i just mean any ayano whose part of the yuukei quartet + jumps off the roof etc etc). but after a few rewatchs, im pretty sure the last chorus is about yakitsu. i really wish they didnt use a pic of LTM ayano then, theres plenty of good pics of yakitsu from the last chapter of the manga they couldve used instead.

i get why they would believe that LTM ayano is yakitsu tho. thats cuz this is something that still isnt fully agreed on among fans, cuz even after 10 fucking years no one actually understands what LTM's mv is about LMAO. personally i think white dress ayano = yakitsu. and i think the ayano in LTM is just.... ayano from that route, not from route m. why she disappears tho.. um... hm......

but yeah interesting video, gave me much to think about... a bit too much to think about. cuz now im thinking about LTM and how that like.... makes no sense....... kinda..

A crazy Mikoto Theory!

Hey guys I'm new to MILGRAM (and reddit) unfortunately i missed the first voting but I had this crazy thought recently that we probably got mikoto and his mv all wrong?

( Bear with me here bc I really think I'm onto something with this. )

During the second trial announcement jackalope confirming mikotos DiD struck me as odd. This was really the only piece of Canon lore we've gotten and its very early, if this truly was mikoto faking for sympathy or whatever reason they definitely wouldn't have confirmed DID so early. It was almost as if the creators were trying to steer us away from that theory and I think why is because its way off. If we kept fighting the DiD theory bc it could end up being a problematic representation of a real disorder and chose to vote him guilty again based on the fact that he might possibly be faking we would condem him without even hearing him out. This lead me to rewatch his 1st trial with the thought of "if wether or not he does or does not have DiD" isn't what were supposed to be looking for then what are we looking for?" I don't think the creators expected the he's faking theory to get as popular as it did but the MV was obviously made with something hidden inside (that's the whole point of the game) so what did they want us to look for? Well..exactly what we were looking for in the other 8 MVs before his, who he killed and why.

Now I don't know who he killed but I'm thinking the video was hinting twords more why and what happened after it happened. This is when I started to really analyze the lyrics (English anyway)

The first line

"if I could laugh if I could go back id play dead even though I'm alive right?"

This line right off the bat was interesting as it sounds immediately remorseful, if I could go back and change things I would pretend to be dead instead. Considering this line was shown on top of what I'm assuming is his murder he's probably talking about what happens. But who's "he?"

(excuse my terms if anything comes off as offensive to anyone with did just let me know!)

Red(ill call the more murderous mikoto) looks to be the one to sing on the more aggressive parts of the song

"if I could end, if I could stop, how long will this dream go on?" More remorse but this time with a reference to a dream?

"You don't have to keep it in, hide it away, I will save me"

Here's where my true theory comes in...this music video isn't mikoto swapping back and forth during all of his murders its Mikoto in the process of creating Blue (the mikoto we all know) to cope with what he did.

The video isn't taking place of the course of mikoto killing severL people ( serial killer theory) but over the course of a few hours where the guilt gets to be too much to bear.

You don't have to keep in what you did anymore you can hide away with the new innocent alter, I will save me from this depression.

After the scene if him sitting after the murder is the first time we see blue in a cloudy dreamy space but we never see blu outside of this headspace most likely due to him not really being out yet red the original is still fronting. Blue "wakes up" so to speak confused and it seems almost like parts of the song are explaining to blue whats happening while still keeping him in the dark.

"I won't forgive you even though I'm right"

This line is repeated often and has been speculated to mean many things, mikoto breaking the 4th wall and talking to es, or him talking to red for getting him into this mess. But I think its actually Red addressing the person he killed. Think about it, this all started with the murder though I'm not sure what led up to it its likely that what happened with victim is why mikoto created blue in the first place.

I'll go in depth with some lyrics to try and translate what I think he's saying

"If I could change, can I do it?, I wonder from when I started to gave up"

He's wondering if he can become innocent again if he can guilt to stop eating him up, to feel something again, finally he has hope

If I could loose it, if I could choose, is this selfish?" Thats too much isn't it?"

If I could loose this guilt if I could choose to be innocent again, but isn't that selfish? This is crazy...

"Maybe its ok to keep living, split in half, make that heart beat"

The alter will give him reprieve if I split in half ill feel better. (Keep in mind I don't actually think he made an alter consciously but I do think the video is showing blue become more and more aware as reds guilt gets deeper.)

Then immediately as red starts to accept it blue Appears again confused and afraid.

Then the aggressive voice is now in the blue headspace red is now fully aware of blue and has come to terms with him being there

"Its like what's wrong isn't wrong, I'm already the fake one"

Sounds like red is convincing himself that this is ok, he can't be any worse than me he's already fake so now I can live without guilt of what I did.

The scene i the bath i think is the climax of the creation and reds acceptance of blue.

"I'm probably not to blame its probably nothing I'm probably just having a bad dream." "I just have to wake up"

Back to the referencing of a dream, Red is now allowing us to front and thinks of his life as a bad dream, (when blue arrives it'll all be over i just need to "wake up".)

Then Once again as he wakes up blue is seen even more confused and little desperate, I think blue knows there's something wrong he just can't figure out what.

And red is now in the hesdspace no longer fronting but is still guilty, "please let me out of here" now he's fully invested in blue thinking that nothing is wrong "ill forgive you if you tell me that its a lie"

He wants us, es, and the victim to recognize that blue is innocent he will forgive the victim for creating him if you realize this.

Anyway I think this has some merit mostly because I think its a bad idea to keep pushing the idea that he's lying now. Haha let me know what you all think!

Why don’t Kpop fans ever talk about Kangta’s “Eyes On You” more? I rewatched the video recently and was floored by how simplistic the choreography was, how gorgeous the video was, and how sexy the song was? From the song down to the choreography, it just was really refreshing to see and have and I can’t believe it flopped, but thank god Kangta is long past the point of needing albums to sell millions in order to feed all his dogs 😭

i think a lot of live-action movies i watch fall under this category. i dont watch a lot of movies in general, and when i do im often just rewatching animated movies to get my Art Brain to work again (shoutout to the lion king), BUT! sometimes i do watch a live-action one that i love so so so much and it doesnt influence my art at all. the social network is a prime example, i love the courtroom drama and media about people who Just Suck, but its not a genre i feel inclined to work in really. i think succession (which is a show not a movie but whatever) is the most recent thing like that for me, love that show to bits but its setting (big city w same-y buildings) and color grading (greys and slate blues and really just a lack of warmth) are like the antithesis of the stuff i like to draw

minseo's a little bit of a princess, i don't think he'd be a lot of help LOL cute and innocent and i love him, but he is very bad at most things 😭

junho and hyeop are the only two who cook, but junho's cooking skills are questionable 😭 hyeop and changuk are the tidy ones, it's why they've been roommates from the start even if they have completely opposite tastes in everything (their mbti is even complete opposite) hyeop would definitely be good with the pups though, he said if he wasn't an idol, he'd be a teacher 👍junho is also good with kids though 😊

dongyun's called a "baby wolf"! his emoji recently changed to 🐺. he's cute, a bit naive, and he likes getting hugged a lot. he's the only athletic member other than alex.

yunseong is the leader but he's also so babygirl 😭 but he's very dependable!

changuk's the one members go to when they need to talk about something, he has a steady presence. he lets things roll off him without worrying too much, gives good advice.

the mv storyline...it begins with them playing in the grassy outdoors, it's peaceful. hyeop leans back against a tree and you see it was an illusion, he's actually trapped inside some kind of lab. shackled down to a chair, there are monitors up around him showing x-rays of werewolf features. the members all escape, there's a scene where there's a helicopter chasing them down and hyeop looks up at the sky and sees the full moon and his eyes turn amber. he climbs onto the side of a building, the camera shows his shadow instead and it's bigger and the shape is different- he's shifted. final scene shows that they're back in the peaceful outdoors, they're playing soccer. the camera moves to just dongyun as he makes the goal, the ball hits against some kind of force field. he turns around, the members are gone and soldiers are marching in.

you might not be able to find the mv then, but their mv reaction is still up! and so is the director's explanation. there's actually a lot of symbolism in this one, and i eat that stuff right up LOL ~🩷

Roomie!! It’s like I told you -- I’ve been thinking about this ask all damn weekend! It required several rewatches of the MV! I’m not complaining, I’m just revved up! 🤣

OK, sure, maybe they weren’t invented with couture in mind, but most couture isn't, right? He can’t hide his smile as he proudly struts around the dorm, in that exact pair of white jeans and black chaps that he stole from set, happily shaking his ass in the others’ faces, humming his part to the song. (Side note: Yoongi wonders what it might be like to wear them.)

He’ll catch you between his starry eyes and that hip cocked just so. Denim jacket top buttons unbuttoned. Nothing else on underneath. When you inevitably stop (because how couldn’t you?), he’ll saunter over to you like this whole thing was your idea. "Yes?" he'll ask. Why are you the one trying to wheedle him in? For the entire drive, and the diner burgers you stopped mid-way for, he’ll ask questions about your life. Listen to you talk about why you’re even on this trip to begin with. Compliment you on your pleasant voice. Tell you how long your lashes are. When you pull up to his place, some little thing out of the way, he’ll take his time getting out of the car. He’ll admit he spent his last dime on his burger. He still owes you for the gas. So he’ll run a hand over your thigh and ask, “Do you maybe wanna come inside?”

Flow hot takes

1. PW and Flow are the best singles we've had since SR. Every single song has felt complete i.e., LAYERS (that change throughout the song), choruses with LYRICS (no woahs oooohs aaaahs disdisdisplays), interesting bridges that go places without being obnoxious for the sake of it. Also no chipmunk voices (by Nakata standards). The gritty bass line is also a big plus. As long as Nakata maintains this level of output the next album has a chance of actually being a really great album. I just pray he doesnt do a 180 and butcher the current era's direction like he did with FP.

2. The MV is terrible and all the more frustrating because it actually had all the ingredients of being good.

3. MV street outfits are great (im gonna ignore the pink/white ones i have accepted that terrible costumes are the norm now). Its cool that theyre experimenting with the braids too. And the color palette of the VFX looked really fresh and theyve never had this sort of style going on before.

4. But then it's bogged down by all the stupid choices. Why aren't they singing? Because it's a "dance video"???? Okay and??? Are DF and Flash etc not dance videos too????

5. And if this is a dance video why are they obscuring said dance with all the visual effects??? (greatest offender is the blocky nonsense going on around the 30s mark) I know this shit was rushed out in a week but please.... I dont even expect anyone on the team to use their entire brain anymore, but please, even one brain cell will do....!!!!

6. Lack of glamour shots (close ups) makes them feel really distant. Yes i know faraway flowing clouds and all that, and i was always the first to complain abt excessive glamour shots, but this has just swung to the other extreme and its not good either. Literally whats the point of trying new hairstyles with braids if i cant fckin see it!!!! The excessive effects sure arent helping either!!!

7. That last 30s looks cheap af and highly anticlimatic as compared to the rest of the video. I also dont understand why they had to go out of their way to make a physical set when the CGI going on at the start of the video looked so much cleaner and better. Who is approving these budgets???

8. I think this video is kinda the culmination of all my problems ive had with their direction in recent years. Over reliance on "technology" and whatnot. Like yeah its cool but im also watching perfume content for perfume. If i wanted to see a tech demo id watch a fckin tech demo. At no point should showcasing the technological gimmicks take precedence over showcasing the members and their personalities.

9. And that leads me to something ive only just realised. When was the last time uve seen them look like they actually enjoy dancing in their PVs??? MoL???? I just did a quick dive through their videos and Ive come to realise that ever since theyve shifted from tokuma to universal theyve been trying to take on some cool emotionless doll android big sister image or whatever and like Okay. But why cant we have both???? Was the charm of perfume not always that they can switch between being fun and quirky as well as being cool and badass??? Post MoL it seems like they dont even smile anymore while theyre dancing. Sure a resting bitch face looks cool, but given how excessive its gotten it just feels so devoid of personality and life.

10. Something something practical effects quirky and full of personality something something CGI is everywhere now none of what theyre doing feels special something something jurassic park aged well because it used practical effects something something their older videos are much more fun to watch and much more replayable (i still think IYW is perfection but id still rather rewatch/show people VOICE or FNG etc)

Tldr songs good video bad but who cares i just need the music to be good

BTS at Golden Disc Awards 2021

On the 9th and 10th of January 2021 BTS attended the Golden Disc Awards, and performed on the second day as well. Being there they won the Digital Bonsang for Dynamite on the 9th and the Bonsang, as well as the Album Daesang for Map of the Soul : 7, on the 10th. Amazing achievements which I sincerely congratulate them on.

When it comes to the performance, it was, most certainly, another amazing collection of stages bringing something new once more, even if they presented songs we’ve already seen at previous award shows this season. The opening came in form of Black Swan, though they didn’t sing any of it. It was more an intro showcasing the entrance of the members and highlighted Yoongi’s return to the stage, at least partially.

The stage featured big metal winds, low lighting, and the members clad in black and white clothing including leather elbow length gloves for Namjoon and Yoongi, and pretty chockers for Taehyung and Jimin. The highlight though was Jungkook’s hair which isn’t dark anymore, but instead has been bleached and dyed a pretty blond. Personally I think it suits him pretty well.

More below the cut since this is shaping up to be pretty long:

Next up was ON, which was powerful and fierce, though still missing Yoongi, which is all too understandable. Even though he can stand on stage again and hold his mic in his left hand (his surgery was on the left shoulder), it will still be a while until he’ll be able to dance with the members. ON has certainly grown a lot on me and I enjoy their performances of it immensely, and it was much the case this time as well.

The transition from ON to Life Goes On came in form of the stage being made to look like their individual rooms from BE which appeared on the digital walls around them. Their clothes were mostly comfy, though Jimin’s resembled their outfits from all the way back during I NEED U/RUN era. The transition/VCR like moment ended with the instrumental to We Are Bulletproof : The Eternal and the stage looking much the way the MV did with the whale swimming around them in an ocean of shades of purple, blue and pink.

For Life Goes On they had miniature versions of some of their most iconic MV sets on pedestals. It was a really cute idea and I enjoyed the execution a lot. The members seemed relaxed and enjoying themselves, Jimin and Taehyung even having their little moment of looking at each other twice, these moments certainly having become something I always kind of look forward to when it comes to LGO stages.

Another tiny Jimin and Taehyung detail was Jimin sending a brief, barely noticeable (by the viewer) finger heart which I hadn’t even noticed until my fourth rewatch. It definitely fits with all these other small gestures we’ve seen from these two in recent months, like the finger hearts and kissy faces during their Lotte Family Concert performance of Boy with Luv or hugging each other on day 1 and doing a fun handshake and dance on day 2 during Dionysus at the MOTS ON:E concert visible only on one of the side cameras, not the main one.

The grand finale was the Slow Jam remix of Dynamite which worked perfectly with the chill out lounge/bar atmosphere created on stage fitting with the Great Gatsby theme. The members wore mostly suits in white, blue in Namjoon’s case, and a bright yellow when it comes to Taehyung, as well as Hoseok who had a white button down which Tae did not. While a normal person would look ridiculous in it, Taehyung looked absolutely stunning and made it more than work. After so many energetic performances of Dynamite since its release, seeing such a calm version was really nice and refreshing, showing how versatile BTS and their music are, how they can captivate an audience with fast songs made for big choreographies and stage productions, but also these slow, more chill types of tracks. A marvelous idea, truly.

There was also an encore stage where they sang ON again but this time along with Yoongi on stage which had some hilarious moments, especially Namjoon and Seokjin being silly waving their arms around while kneeling opposite each other on stage during Jungkook’s bridge. Cute.

Afterward the members were at something like a red carpet after interview where they took pictures with their awards (Jungkook and Taehyung even making their Bonsang and Daesang awards kiss much the way film director Bong Joon Ho made his two Oscars kiss last year) and were asked to do a relay of saying something to each other.

Honestly the bond between Jimin and Hoseok is so cute and wonderful and you can see, and hear in their words, how important they are to each other, and how grateful Hobi is. We know the members were having a really hard time in 2020 so it doesn’t surprise me that Hobi would highlight the other members, or in this case Jimin, as one of the main reasons why he made it through it. After all we also know that those two made a song together which unfortunately didn’t make it onto BE. Hopefully we might get it one day at least as SoundCloud release, or perhaps on the next album instead.

Jimin to RM

It was you who made us pull ourselves together to go through 2020. I am always grateful, and it’d be nice if you share you height a little with me in 2021, be healthy and happy. RM: Okay thank you

I love how Jimin used this (public) opportunity to tell/remind Namjoon of how important he was for them especially in 2020, as leader and surely also as friend, yet still also made a little joke to still keep the atmosphere light. After he was done speaking Jimin also hugged Namjoon, which showed once more how tiny he is in comparison.

RM to JK

It’s finally today, Jungkook-si, in 10 years! You are Golden Maknae! The day that you will prove your nickname! You are proving it right now with your hair color, but in 2021, I hope the year will be filled with gold, like your nickname. Stay healthy. Let’s ‘Jje-kkit-up’ together this year too! (check it up.. the usual Namjoon saying lol)

It’s quite something to think about and realize, isn’t it, this year 10 years pass since Jungkook became a BigHit trainee and moved into their first dorm with Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi and Seokjin. I’m curious if Bangtan, as well as BigHit, have some kind of plan for JK specifically for this year that Namjoon chose to highlight his Golden Maknae nickname in such a way, or if it was more of a reminder to JK, that he’s so worthy despite how he doubts himself, and despite how he himself said he’s been going through tough times in 2020.

JK to V

V hyung, when we were trainees we were getting along so well, (V: We are not now???) No!!! i didn’t mean it. You are becoming so much of an stand-up (reliable, I assume in this context) guy. Thank you for doing all the schedules with us. jhope: who’s hyung here?

The bond these two share might just be one of the biggest mysteries and causes for conflicts and fights within the fandom, or particular parts of it. After their conversation In The SOOP, I’d like to believe they’ve figured out whatever issue might've arisen between them in the past, found a way to solve and move past it slowly, and rekindled their friendship once more. Seeing at how well they’ve been getting along (on camera) these past few months, I think it might've been so. It’s curious to me though that JK chose to say this instead of something more akin to what Jimin said to Namjoon, or Hoseok to Jimin.

V to Jin

V: (turns to Jin) Jin: This is too close V: I listened to Abyss and that makes my heart ache too... Jin: Thank you V: hyung, your song is so good. I absolutely adore the bond these two share and I love that Tae chose to say what he did. We know Seokjin has been going through a hard time in 2020, that he dealt with something I’d call imposter syndrome, so I’m glad we got to know even more about how Tae was there for him, something we otherwise would’ve never known. Certain people try to portray Tae as the one member that is almost estranged from his other members, who barely has anything to do with the group outside of schedules, and yet it’s moments like this--as well as Seokjin telling us in his birthday vlive that Tae organized for everyone including his non-BTS friends to send Seokjin birthday wishes in video form to show him how loved and appreciated he is--are the proof that those people are wrong. Tae is very close with his members, and he’s the ambassador of OT7 or nothing, the members his closest friends and brothers, his found and chosen family.

Jin to Suga

Jin: Yoongi ya, do it well. Suga: Okay.... Jin: Do well on your rehab, and...uh... let’s do well going forward. Suga: Okay.. I will...

These two are so close yet due to their introverted nature their interactions such as this one are just so hilarious and adorable at the same time. Their dynamic is wonderful and this just seems like peak Yoongi-Jin behavior.

Suga to j-hope

SG: (unable to look into hobi’s eyes) Our hobi JH: Suga! SG: You did work hard in 2020 (evading eye contact) JH: hahhahahah and? SG: Let’s not fall sick in 2021, and hwaiting... JH: “Hwaiting hyung, and take good care of your health!”

The saga of Yoongi being unable to look Hoseok in the eye continues and it’s just as precious as ever. They stood so close, and while Yoongi wasn’t able to look into Hoseok’s eyes, it’s funny how he was the one who initiated the whole “them standing so close together” thing. I love the difference between how Seokjin didn’t even try to make eye-contact while Hoseok playfully challenged Yoongi and tried to coax him into it anyway knowing it’ll make Yoongi laugh and smile. It’s such a Yoongi-Hoseok thing, I love it.

tommy joe ratliff → he was the bass player for adam lambert during his glamnation era (think of songs like for your entertainment and if i had you) idk why exactly i liked him so much but i just did.... however i searched him up again quite recently and found out he’s one of those republicans that says the dumbest shit on twitter so Big Yikes

harry styles → “baby you light up my world like nobody else, the way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed, and when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell...” and BOOM 13-year-old me was sold for well over two years

louis tomlinson → basically i liked harry most until around 2013 when for some reason i started to like him a little less, and i got more focused on louis tomlinson, and although i didn’t like one direction anymore louis tomlinson always had a special place in my heart

ashton irwin → so ashton is 5sos’ drummer, i discovered 5sos through one direction & i stanned them until late 2014

harries twins → the harries twins (jack & finn) are basically the reason i started spending a lot of time on youtube, they were funny and pretty and they just had good videos in general, so for almost two years i’d watch their content regularly

choi minho → my first steps into kpop happened bc i was watching videos on youtube (most probably the harries twins) and suddenly i saw the sherlock mv in my recommended videos so i clicked on it and then 14-year-old me proceeded to fall for minho like an idiot

brooks twins → still youtubers, the brooks twins were 3/5 of the janoskians (jai & luke brooks, beau brooks, daniel sahyounie, & james yammouni), an australian youtube comedy group that was active from 2011-2018 though i was only around from 2012-2014 (when jai brooks was dating ariana grande)

jc caylen → surprise! another youtuber! jc caylen was part of o2l (our2ndlife) a youtube collaboration channel on which each of the 6 members posted videos on a certain day in the week (mondays with connor, tuesdays with ricky, wednesdays with sam, thursdays with jc, fridays with trevi (my 2nd favorite member bc she participated on the x factor), saturdays with ricardo, and then they had surprise sundays every week) and i remember how much joy jc & the others always brought me with their silly videos

misha collins → up next, you might know him as the gay angel that was sent to superhell after confessing his love to the homophobic hunter on supernatural, it’s misha collins! basically misha was a huge source of comfort for me, and i even went around calling myself emmisha for almost two full years (cringe)

henrik holm → he played even bech naesheim in skam and my crush on him reached that level of ridiculousness where i actually tried my hand at learning norwegian (i can only remember how to introduce myself and some curse words i would make a great first impression on him)

min yoongi → okay so my baby steps into kpop happened through shinee’s sherlock, but i only got really invested when yoongi dropped agust d 1 because Holy Fuck y’know??

kim namjoon → oh man i remember thinking namjoon was cute and a very good leader and then BAM he dressed like THAT at the 2016 mma’s and i fell in love. hard

park seojoon → i started liking park seojoon whilst i was watching hwarang (you guessed it, i watched it bc of taehyung), although he wasn’t my favorite character by far, but he was very silly off camera & i liked that (i’m not that into him anymore tho </3)

kim seokjin → OH BOY LET ME TELL U i liked seokjin from the very beginning (i got to know bts in late 2014) and i always liked seeing him perform and be himself and god once i realized i had a crush on him it just hit me like a mf truck, and he’s still one of my favorite people to this day

jung hoseok → god fake love era hoseok really hits different.... also yes i know i have all of bts’ hyung line on my list BUT bts was a really big part of my life for almost 6 years soooo honestly they deserve it i still think they’re great guys

choi san → when ateez made their debut in 2018 i immediately fell in love with san, he was such an amazing dancer and he captivated me right from the very beginning, to this day he’s still my bias in ateez uwu

wang yibo → the thing is, i’ve known yibo since eoeo except i didn’t know cql yibo was uniq yibo (bc i’d forgotten his name) and when i looked it up i can tell you my jaw dropped to the floor bc holy shit????? also he is very silly and i love him loads ok

lee minho → ah, the man who has been my skz bias since 2018, not only is minho my bias i also kin him (there’s a lot of aspects of myself that i see in minho and vice versa) and he’s very comforting to me

for rtk: heroine, reveal (catching fire), be mine, it's raining, the we must love, quasi una fantasia, photo!!!!! also tbz and i think? onf's intro perfs!!! maybe golchas too? it was either onf or golcha or both honestly i can't remember but i remember there being smth i rlly liked in there!! i really liked come back home & basquiat & new world but more as songs than . the perfs (or ok i liked the perfs in the mvs more than on the show). lit perf gets bonus points for having rapper seoho. i literally listen to this version more than the original song because of that verse. it makes me go a bit insane. it's ranked like 2 or 3 songs higher than the original version in my oneus song ranking i think. yeah.

love poem is absolutely legendary i'm not gonna write a whole essay abt that, i'll be your man gave me everything i wanted (fave btob song, skz beloveds, those outfits were rlly pretty, blue hair jisung again!!!!!!!!!! nd neck tattoo..), and btob are so powerful that they made me appreciate back door how did they do that. i dont like back door. how did they do that. what did they do. how. and finally sf9 doing move was . . . everything i think we all get it i dont think anyone would dare to disagree

2020 content creator review

i was tagged by @vishcount as usual, thank you 💕 i answered the questions below the cut, and everyone that is tagged is there too, if you just wanna skip my ramblings and go straight down there. (also gosh i hope all the links work rip)

1. first creation and most recent creation of 2020:

this lan wangji oneshot, apparently. i can’t remember when i actually wrote it, but my ao3 tells me i posted it in january 2020. i remember i just wanted to explore lwj’s time of mourning and dive into his mind of that time, even if it made me eternally sad?

my most recent 2020 creation that is public, is the second chapter to this casmund/edmund character study fic i started writing in 2016. i did not expect to return to that but rewatching the narnia movies did that to me. i guess it’s one of those ever-returning fandoms

2. one of your favorite creations from 2020:

my niemo (nie huaisang/mo xuanyu) fic, no question. diving into this, i fully knew that this pairing probably has a tiny audience and honestly, i did not expect to churn out 30k for them. god. am still suffering because why the fuck did i do that to myself (and everyone reading). thank you vishie for standing by me all the time.

3. a new style you tried this year and a gifset edit that uses it:

my historical taegi AU set in silla korea - i don’t think it’s actually a new style writing-wise, but it was an entirely different process of creating. i did a week of only research, diving into amounts of academic texts and sources to figure out my frame and setting. it was so much fun and in the end, with everything i learned, it felt like the fic was only just the ‘by-product’ of my research. though i must say, writing the story itself was challenging in a very different way, by that i mean that the characters made me furious and yet i had to write it like that cause i like to suffer :)

as for gifset, am not sure? i can’t think of any so i am just linking the daechwita mv cause it’s iconic. i guess this mv is more joseon inspired, while my setting was silla somewhere between the end of 7th and beginning of 8th century; but it was the final straw to finally make me write that historical taegi au i always wanted to write with hwarang tae. also this mv inspired me to have yoongi as a tyrannical king cause why not amirite?

4. a creation to be proud of:

my wei wuxian oneshot during burial mounds; i had a lot of fun writing him and projecting all my nightmares onto him. i went in without a plan and ended up with something i am actually quite proud of? it gave me so much space and room to just...pour out my words and not worry too much about anything else.

5. a creation that took forever:

my post-canon wangxian adventure or qinghe chaos, as i lovingly call it. i think i started writing it in november 2019? not entirely sure about that, i only know it took ages. i wanted to create a whole new political environment, as it takes place somewhere around 70 years after canon (they wanna be immortal, shut up) and it was fun thinking of new challenges and new obstacles that face the new generation of cultivators. unfortunately i did not have the capacity to write a full blown political conflict. that’s why i never really incorporated all my thoughts into the story itself, but hey, if anyone has questions i have notes (and vishie, once again, is the most blessed person to plot with me, ily)

6. your creation from 2020 that received the most notes:

am gonna measure this by kudos on ao3 in that case, which would be the aforementioned lwj oneshot Cold Moon, Long Nights Moon. I feel incredibly fond of it and i’m really happy that people liked it. it feels special somehow and i just want to thank everyone who read that and liked it.

7. a creation you think deserved more notes:

oh i wrote many fics that year for smaller fandoms, which makes me grateful for every single feedback i received. i think i had hoped my previously mentioned historical AU would receive more, but it’s okay because i still loved it.

another one is this princess sook myung/ah roh fic that i wrote for my ‘make hwarang gay again’ series. i finally finished this show and it furstrated me so much - the gay potential that went to waste, the horrendous writing for female characters. i liked the chemistry between ah roh and the princess, and yes i get it, it’s a rare pair and this fandom is kinda dead, but. the girls deserve their shine and love (though still, i am grateful for every single kudos i receive and i am still proud of it)

8. a new fandom you joined and a creation you made for it:

i joined many new fandoms this year for which i wrote, but i want to mention my shang xirui character study for winter begonia, because it was very interesting to explore that? and i had fun too, it was one of the first things i properly wrote after my hiatus, so i felt quite proud. also once again, this fandom has way too little content and the show is underrated.

9. a creation you made that breaks your heart:

i wanna mention two here. first is this wen ning & song lan oneshot that was a pure joy and also very sad to write. i just love these two so much, and i love them together even more. i have many thoughts how much comfort they could give each other and believe me, i have many more that i want to explore in the future.

the second one is the mu nihuang & xiao jingyan oneshot i wrote for the nirvana in fire gift exchange 2020. it broke my heart, but at the same time it felt like something was healing too? it hurt at the pain both characters go through, but i also felt fond that maybe, they were not alone.

10. a ‘simple’ creation that you really love:

hmm there are a few, i mostly want to mention my fei liu character study? it has no plot or anything, it is just an exploration of his mind and thoughts, which was an absolute joy to write and somehow so easy.

i also quite like the yyy series i started - maybe i can write more for these two because they somehow give me the feels.

11. a favorite creation created by someone else:

alright here we go folks:

first i want to mention my dearest @vishcount because newsflash!!! i am the biggest fan. of course i need to mention your wondeful, stunning, breathtaking masterpiece that is your xicheng novel (and yes it is a novel, i say so). it is still ongoing and you started it in 2019, but i need to mention it here because it truly is something that is lifechanging. i feel so blessed that i get the front seats and vip access to all the updates, to all your thoughts and ideas. you go through a lot with it and i am never not proud of you ❤️ another one i want to mention is this wei wuxian & mo xuanyu oneshot you wrote for me because i am still crying about it. i have no words. honourable mentions: your easter islanders (lan wangji and jiang cheng) and this xicheng soulmate au

another creator i want to mention is @the-cloud-whisperer and their nirvana in fire fic Heroic Woman（烈婦） , which is absolutely wonderful. i found you through your ATLA fics (which i adore) and saw you posting about nirvana in fire and this year, finally, i watched the show and was blown away. i love your other NIF fics too, but this one feels very special because i always thought li yang’s character was so incredibly fascinating. thank you for writing this 💕

I’ve been watching and rewatching a lot of BTS content. From a Yoonmin perspective, what are your recommendations for long form things (not just moments ... episodes of any of their shows, fan meets, longer interviews/variety show appearances etc.) ? I recently watched Rookie King in its entirety because of your Tumblr. I had never watched it all. Definitely worth it. Thank you!

rookie king is so good :’’) these are some other varieties and none of them are super full of ym aside from the ~~usual amount~~ but STILL they’re so good,,,,, i don’t know how much of bts’ content you’ve seen but if you want me to make a list of the best run eps from a ym stan’s perspective i can do that,,, also i excluded dvds and bon voyages and stuff because i’m guessing you’ve seen those but lmk if you want ym recs for those too hhhh

american hustle life: okay listen i know it’s got some super cringy moments and it’s hard to watch at times BUT i think every bts stan needs to watch this at least once including the behind cuts (there’s like 17 lmao) because not only does it reveal quite a bit about them (yoon/kook’s talk about jungkook wanting tatts in the future?? yoongi looking after tae/kook?? their impressions of the others?? 2SEOK??!!) but it really shows how genuine bts are as people and when it comes to music :’’(

mwave meet & greet: LISTEN this is a good one for ym lmao it’s a lot of album talk but we have yoongi and jimin being cute with each other and jimin in a maid dress so we’re all winners here

yaman tv ep 1 // ep 2: these were fun and it’s when joon got exposed for downloading porn and getting viruses on their shared computer LMAO

bts bokbulbok: this has 5 mini eps on vlive and is basically them choosing games from a paper in a bowl lmao i love it

run bts in thailand: more mini games ! but i loved this one

mv bank (run era): i love mv bank!! it’s not super long but it’s like a fun mini interview while they explain the albums i guess?? but ‘sexy porn star’ Iconic Scenes in this one and jimin does that very cute squeaky laugh 13/10 just for that

new yang nam show: ynwa era hits different,,,, this was so cute though lmao it’s a really fun time and yoongi gets all reminiscent about baby jimin and his ugly pants for a sec
