All Eluciens are Gwynriels.

They want to send Elain off with someone that she is severely uncomfortable around and doesn’t want. They want to send Azriel off with someone he doesn’t have feelings for ALL BECAUSE THEY HATE ELAIN.

They think Lucien is the only one who deserves happiness and a “mate” even if that means his so called “mate” is uncomfortable around him and would be basically signing her life away to depression. They don’t care about Elain’s feelings. They only care about Luciens.

If you liked Elain wouldn’t you want her to be with the person she wants to be with? (Azriel)

If you liked Azriel wouldn’t you want him to be with the person he wants to be with? (Elain)

If you liked Lucien wouldn’t you want him to be with someone he actually likes? (Possibly Vassa who he’s actually shown interest in)

When people say they ship Elucien or Gwynriel that should tell you enough about which two characters they only care about. (Lucien and Gwyn)

Cause if you cared about Elain and Azriel, you wouldn’t be shipping them off with people that make no sense.

A post came up saying Gwyn was more important than Elain.

Explain that to me because I sure as hell don’t see it.

Gwyn will not do anything to further the current storyline. She is not going to fight Koschei. She is not going to conquer the Prison.

Elain has not told her side of the story yet. She will be the one continuing the current storyline, to help fight Koschei and will be the one conquering the Prison.

I don’t dislike Gwyn but she is not more important than the Night Court’s seer.

You may not like a character or even hate it but if you have a good reason to hate or dislike that character, you can. I don't think anyone would be against you then. Honestly, you're all obsessed with Elain's potential to be with Azriel, and you grumble why there isn't ‘a girlboss’ or ‘a warrior woman’ in her place.

Let me give you a simple answer, ladies. Because it is not necessary. First, this book will be Elain's, and a man's love life is certainly not our concern, unless it's Elain's choice. Second, there is someone Azriel is already competing with and that is Elain.

There are many scenes that we haven't read yet and we don't know at what level their relationship is. All we know is that Rhys didn't approve of the situation between the two of them and ordered Azriel to stay away. We have very limited information about what happened before that, and when Feyre announced that she was pregnant, she told Azriel himself that it was her older sister Elain who first noticed, surpassing Azriel in this regard. That was the signal that a nice competitor has appeared, whatever it is I don't expect you to understand, but you're all doing Elain a lot of injustice.

All you do is talk about how boring she is. 'Elain is so boring.' 'She talks about her garden and her flowers all the time.' 'She's just a simple florist.' bla bla bla. Oh, and the 'Evil Elain' theory that has been popular with you for a year. With these words, we understand how much you trust your crackship because you are aware of it. Your crack ship will never be real, unless Elain turns evil or killed by Gwyn after her gets worse.

Seriously, what do you have other than these arguments? Do you have a written romantic scene? No. Are there any indications about your couple in the interviews? None. You are so full of hatred that you try to make a rival to Elain by associating the first side character with Azriel. You are pathetic beings.

I hate all tiktokers who post videos on those hashtags. You guys have never understood Elain and you never will. You stay away from her, she is kindhearted and trying to help her sisters. You envy her innocence and beauty. You want to be in her place, but all I'm going to tell you is go get a real life. Maybe you will be as selfless and kind-hearted as Elain in that life.

Seriously, all of you stay away from that girl's book and don't even buy it if you can. You'll probably all start praising Elain when that book comes out, but I'll always have your back and smack your past. I hope then you will have some dignity and stop reading the series.

Trapped the suriel and befriended it nn her own.

Is the first high lady and one of the 3 most powerful females in the entirety of prythian.

Was part of a fucking war.

Is brilliant af.

Was able to escape the weaver— a fucking death God.

Made acquaintances with the bone Carver— again a fucking death God.

Fixed the cauldron.

Helped bring back a person to life.

No offense but Gwyn hasn’t done anything that puts her above Feyre or Rhys. She’s a librarian and a researcher which is cool.

Rhys has fought now in two wars, sacrificed his body and mental health to protect the people of Velaris(which was the only place he could use his power to hide) and has actually died.

Feyre has fought trials as a human, died, fought in the war and has used her painting skills to help children be able to express their emotions at what they have witnessed and gone through when Velaris was attacked. She also is continuing to learn how to be a good High Lady. She has also continued to take care of her sisters even though Nesta wanted nothing to do with her.

Like sorry, no, Gwyn is not above them. She is a side character that’s all.

idk. i hate nesta, i think gwyn is immature and i don't have a strong opinion about emerie.

i honestly don't understand where their hype is coming from. everything that is great about them is an invention of the fandom, which loves to promote acosf as something it is not. it doesn't have an epic story about warriors who fight against the patriarchy, it's not a story where it has three legendary protagonists and warriors and much less a super different plot from sjm that displaces the rest of acotar. it's a cheap acomaf recycling.

i always see people say that they were disappointed after actually reading the books, as there is nothing great about them in the Acotar trilogy. even in acosf, it is a much less interesting book than what people say. nesta is not at all what the fandom makes her out to be, gwyn is even less so as she is only nesta's best friend and emerie is even more forgotten.

At this point I don’t even like Gwyn because of the hypocrisy and biased bs I see Gwynriels and Gwyn stans say about Elain for no reason. “I live for Elain slander”, “why doesn’t Sarah just kill her off already”, Gwyn is superior to elain I hope she kills her and Az helps.” “If you support elain you need to go kys” These are real comments I have seen multiple times written in various ways along tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, tumbler, EVEN FACEBOOK. And when I try to see if Gwyn gets the same hate barely anything intense shows up. I don’t know what it will take for people to understand…We don’t know Elain’s full story, she is a mystery just like Az…and the fact that Gwyn stans won’t even be give Elain a chance to redeem herself pisses me off even more. I hope SJM chooses to cut Gwyn and Elain out of the possible “Azriel’s mate” picture, because at this point neither of them deserve Az because of their supporters within their online fandoms. I’ve been thinking -

It would have been so easy for SJM to reverse the roles of Az & L*cien in ACOWAR. Having Azriel go find Vassa, wouldn’t have been out of the ordinary for him at all, he goes on missions all the time. L*cien had already provided Rhys & Feyre with some pretty solid advice at the HoW when they’d sent out invites for the High Lord Meeting, he could have so easily carried on in that capacity, as well as joining in the battle. She could have so easily made it so L*cien saved Elain, not Az. And we’d still have angst - Elain fighting her feelings for him because he reminded her of one of the most traumatic days of her life. But she didn’t. What she’s done since having L*cien say that Elain’s his mate is continually broaden this gap between them, by keeping them physically apart, by their own choices. By showing how incompatible they are, again they both think this. By how much they just don’t understand each other, how uncomfortable they make each other. The only reason L*cien is trying is because of the mate bond, that he’s been raised to revere, no other reason. Yet you’ve got Elain & Azriel, constantly compared to one another, gravitating towards each other. Almost any time Elain or Azriel is brought up in conversation (particularly in ACOSF) the other is mentioned within the same breath. They can’t stop touching one another in some capacity. They are both hard people to read and yet they seem to read each other perfectly well. Azriel was the one to save Elain. Azriel was the one to figure out Elain was a seer. Azriel was the one who took her into the garden, spent time with her. Azriel is the one who becomes visibly upset (AGAIN, the previously poker faced Azriel?) when he learns Elain was upset after a fight with Nesta. Azriel was the one who didn’t seem to care that he was injured after rescuing Elain, and his first priority was to make sure they knew to get the chains off of her. Azriel is the one who makes her feel at ease. These are all just off the top of my head. ALL of this is shown through out the books (ACOMAF - ACOSF). That’s without going into the bonus chapter. The painful need imagery he painted with his language. Remind you of something? All of this to say - Elriel = endgame.

After ACOTAR5 comes out SJM is asked in a interview about Gwynriel and she says:

“Yeah, that was never a thing, I am happy people liked the character but I thought it was pretty obvious it was Elain and Azriel from the beginning”
