When Someone Flirts with You! | Honkai Star Rail

Someone saw this coming and I'm very proud of you for figuring it out. Yeah, I've been getting into star rail and I thought I'd just write since I can't really think of genshin things to write right now lol this is barely edited, so have mercy <3 idk tags rn so please help me out :') ✧ Includes: Dan Heng, Welt, Sampo, Gepard, Jing Yuan, Luocha, Blade ✧ Extra: Luocha and Blade might be ooc, I'm not too familiar with them as of right now. ✧ Come one, come all! See what happens when someone flirts with you in front of your men!

Dan Heng

Dan Heng is a really private person, he’s not a fan of showing off everything. So he’s not one to flaunt you around, but it’s not hard to tell you’re both in a relationship. He’s around you like… all the time.

He’s not one to follow around like a helicopter boyfriend, but he’s got an eye on you. If he sees someone bothering you, he’s behind them in an instant.

0/10. Dan Heng’s not super scary so they could ignore him and continue flirting with you. For a moment, he’ll just stand there as he listens to some of the dumb things they’re gonna say. You two make fun of them later for it. But then he hears something along the lines of, “come on, i’ll treat you better.” he don’t like that.

How is this creep better than him?! They couldn’t even tell you were uncomfortable. Dan Heng will usually place a hand on their shoulder and his grip gets tighter every second the creep is still in front of you. Paired with his glare…

10/10 the creep is gone. You sigh in relief and walk to Dan Heng quietly, wrapping your arms around his waist. He immediately hugs back, stroking your hair a little.

“Let’s go somewhere else. I don’t like it here anymore.” You agreed.

Welt

Well, he doesn’t hang around you 24/7, he’s a busy man. But it’s also not hard to tell you’re dating either. Welt isn’t crazy about PDA, but he’ll give you a quick kiss every now and then and often gives you hugs (per your request).

He believes you’re capable of taking care of yourself, so he’s often not paying attention. That doesn’t mean he won’t look over at you every now and then. This time, he just happened to see some creepy creep trying to creep up on you.

“Are you ok, (y/n)?” Is the first thing he asks when he walks up to you. He will literally ignore the existence of the creep beside him. Usually what happens here is that you’ll nod and he’ll “accidentally” shove the creepy away and urge you to come talk with him and his friends. The creep is usually so confused they walk away. But sometimes- sometimes- they follow.

Welt does NOT like that. I mean it was one thing to not take the hint from your face, but then to stop you when you’re actively trying to leave?

Welt will turn around and just glare at them. Like that silent, “I will kill you” kinda glare. It’s a staring contest for a moment before the creepy creep just kinda turns away and leaves. Sometimes, Welt does have to smack them with his lil cane. Sometimes.

“Anyway, we’re over here. Would you like a drink?”

Sampo

Sampo is all over you, usually. He loves you and the world should know? Sometimes, he can go too far so just let him know. Anyway, since he’s always over you, people know you’re dating him.

Usually at parties and events, he’s hanging off your arm, but sometimes he’s gotta go talk to some of his other friends and acquaintances. He keeps an eye on you.

Here’s the thing, he’ll come up and flirt with you too but try to one up the creep. “You look fine, darling,” - the creep. “You look so beautiful, every star in the sky and the moons pale in comparison.” - Sampo.

0/10. Of course, the creep gets irritated and asks what the hell Sampo is doing. Sampo just gives him a condescending smile and says, “that’s my partner you’re talking to. I’m not gonna let you just creep up on them.” There’s… a glint in his eyes that’s unnerving. Even you can see it.

69/10. The creep runs off, making some excuse or whatever. Sampo watches them for a minute before turning to you and smiling. You rush to give him a hug and he happily returns it.

“Wanna go home? Seems like that idiot trashed your mood a little.”

Gepard

Gepard is a very shy guy and he’s not one to be all touchy-touchy without you doing it first. He gets all flustered and looks away… but he’ll lean into your touch.

He usually sticks around you, keeping your attention so no creepies come by, but sometimes he gets pulled away. He always lets you know he’ll be right back and leaves for just a few moments. Enough for a creepy to sneak in >:0

When Gepard notices the creep, he wastes no time walking over to you. “Is everything ok?” He asked, looking at you. If you shook your head, that was it. The captain of the silvermane’s came out!

The first glare is usually a 50/50. Sometimes, the creeps acted all annoyed and walk away, pretending they’re not scared but other times… they challenge him. Gepard just places a hand on their shoulder and shoves them back. It’s actually surprisingly strong- they’ll fall over sometimes.

10/10, that usually sends them running. On rare occasions there’s that ONE creepy who just stands up and tries to take him on lmao. You know to take a step back because Gepard kinda skips the arresting and just goes to ass kicking. And he’s the shy boyfriend.

“So… we should go now. Yeah, no, just leave the creep there.”

Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan isn't the most affectionate boyfriend, but he doesn’t mind letting people know you two are together. Depends on your comfort level.

He’s a busy man, so at that fancy event, he can’t always be at your side but he tries to keep you by him. Of course, you decided to go get a drink, he happily agreed. You went off and he kept greeting more officials. You didn’t return, so he looked over and he just saw you turning away from a creep who just grabbed your arm!

Jing Yuan elegantly excuses himself and basically sneaks up behind the guy. He’ll stand there which brings you tons of relief, enough to let the creep ramble and ramble and ramble. “I could take you out to dinner, (nickname you don’t like). I’ll buy you (food you don’t like).” “Actually, they don’t like that. And they don’t like being called that.” The creep jumps away and is standing beside you at that point.

5/10, honestly, some just get scared and leave. There’s the other half though that just kinda scoff and look at you. Before they can even say anything, Jing Yuan grabs them by the shirt and force them to look at him. “Do not speak to them like that. Do not look at them, and don’t even think about them. You leave now or I’ll drag you out myself.”

10/10!!!!!!!!! They are GONE. No sign of them for MILES. Jing Yuan huffs and looks down at you. At this point, everyone’s looking at you two, making you extremely uncomfortable. He’ll stand beside you and pull you close, using that half of his jacket thing to cover you.

“We can leave. I’ll deal with everything else later. Come on.”

Luocha

This man is unpredictable. Sometimes, he’s grabbing your hand to prove your dating, others are just a straight kiss. You don’t mind. Either way, the world knows you two are together.

Luocha doesn’t mind leaving you alone, he’s got confidence in himself and you. That doesn’t mean he’s not there as your backup. Creeps creep on a daily- he’s gotchu. He sees the creep and he’s already walking toward you.

“No!” You exclaimed with a frown, “I'm not interested. Leave me alone.” Luocha didn’t mind scaring the creep off… but it was when they grabbed you that kinda set him off. “Hey.” Is all he says as he grabs their wrist to shove their hand away. 3/10. SOMETIMES people do get scared off by his demeanor. But there’s always that one. Our favorite.

For those guys, he’ll just get physical. There’s just this switch that goes off when it comes to you. 10/10. They’re either gone or out like a light.

“Come, we should go somewhere else.”

Blade

Lol. First of all, people know you’re dating this dude because you’re still alive while hanging off his arm. He’s not affectionate in public other than some sweet words. “You look nice today.” “I think you did well.” Things like that.

Blade can… be a helicopter boyfriend because he just has a 6th sense for creepies. You can be doing your own thing and he’s just standing there. Menacingly. There are days where he’s away from you, but he keeps a sharp eye on you. Then he notices the creep.

“Go away.” You say with a huff as you turn away. “Stop!” You yell, trying to pull your hand away. Suddenly, the creep is silent and frozen. You probably know exactly what happened.

You feel your arm come loose and look behind you to see Blade pointing… well his blade at the creep. He doesn’t say anything and the creep can’t help but just feel the icy fear in their veins. 10/10, Blade doesn’t fail.

“Thank you.” You say with a sigh as you run and hug his arm, looking up at him. Blade sighs and looks down at you, feeling that relief in his chest knowing that you’re fine and right beside him where you should be.

“It’s because you look cute today. Let’s go somewhere else.”

scaramouche x gender neutral reader

It’s at the times between recording scenes where you really get a glimpse at your lover.

His sweat stained hair and tear stained cheeks from a rather intense scene never get old. You were feeling rather fond as he made his way over to you, falling into your director’s chair and heaving a heavy breath. The only one other than you allowed to sit in it.

For a mere moment, you both simply look at each other. You guys were on break so a few conversation topics come to mind, it wasn’t often you guys got to speak as lovers rather than coworkers during work. And while they’re all things you’d like to talk to Scaramouche about, you realize you don’t need to force conversation with him.

There’s a hue of weariness that shows in Scara’s eyes, but you can tell that he’s happy. He’s doing what he’s been striving to do for all his years at university, so of course he is.

You search his dark eyes for his thoughts, too. When your eyes meet Scara’s he let’s out a tired smile.

“I missed you,” he easily says. The words come out easier than they would’ve years ago.

Your heart skips a beat, even years later.

“How? We’ve been working together all day,” you say.

“Do I need a reason to miss the person I love?” Scara scoffs, looking away from you to study the script he brought with him.

It isn’t the first time Scaramouche had told you that he loves you, but it’s never stopped holding the same weight it did the first time he’d ever said it.

It’s a rare type of love. The kind that exists so rarely for people in this industry and that lead lives similar to your guys’.

His loves makes you feel alive everyday. And Scara should know it, you should tell him more often—even if it’s rather dramatic for midday on set for their most recent project. It’s something you’d bring up at night that you two could laugh about in bed. Even if it catches Scara off guard.

But Scaramouche’s love caught you off guard, too, and every second you got the privilege to spend with him was a gift.

And as you stare at him, fiddling with the sleeves of his costume and eyebrows scrunched as he mouths his lines, you couldn’t help but feel your heart grow heavy.

“I suppose you don’t,” you reply, a minute too late, but Scara still chuckles at your response as he tosses the script aside.

“What? You’re not going to say it back?” he teases, “And I thought I was the emotionally constipated one.”

“Oh, fuck off,” you mutter, hitting him on the shoulder, “I love you, too. I guess.”

“Archons, you’re worse than me.”

“No, you were much worse when we were younger!”

“It was hot and mysterious when I did it.”

“Uh huh, just go back to set I’m sick of you.”

“Weird way to say you agree but okay.”

“Go!”

THE CREATOR OF THOUSAND WORLDS

İts time for my monthly brainrots with my little to no English.

They are going to give you some cool names based on your personality traits and you cant stop them. İt can be as stupid or as cool as you think they would.

For stupid ones, we have:

-you were having a stroll with Thoma, the boy who is so popular that at one point he had more fans than you (imposter au lol). When you mentioned him that you love animals he HAD to make you meet all of his stray friends. Those little guys always need some attention afterall and maybe getting the divine creators blessings will help them be more lucky in the harsh wild.

(no he is not talking about your acolytes what do you mean?)

"this one reminds me of my favorite villager from animal crossing" you mumbled, not realising he can hear you.

"Animal... What?"he said, confused.

"ah its one of the ga... worlds... İ created."

Thoma looked even more confused. Villagers? Animals??? Animal villagers???? Crossing what???

He realised how you got a bit anxious from the question so he did not pushed you to answer. Maybe it was a touchy subject for you, so you did not want to talk about your own worlds that you created.

But he did talk to others about it, people were exited to know about other worlds, let alone the worlds YOU created! Alot of people tried to understand what that world was about and maybe add the things you like about it in their own world so you will be happier in this world :D

And that is the story on how "animals' lover" became one of your titles. (Zhongli's idea, he tought it should be something that Suits your all loving heart)

-it was a nice day in your abode. Birds were chirping happily to prove your point, the gentle breeze was moving the leaves of the trees as if its dancing with them. Other than that İt was quiet... Too quiet... The realisation of how unusual for your not-so-secret-anymore hiding spot to not be filled with your acolytes and alot of noise while you would be having a nice relaxed tea is sending chills down your spine.

Oh no.. things are usually worse when theyre silent for a long time... You decide to check up on them.

Upon going back inside, it wasnt much hard to guess why they were busy not bothering you, they were on eachothers throats.

As they usually do on their free time.

The first thing you see is Nahida, trying to fix a vase that has been broken, with vines she created from her hand while Trying to desperatly make the other people in the room calm down.

You also see Zhongli and Al haitham, theyre chatting about something and you can see that the atmosphere is tense. You can feel that the only thing from keeping them from eachothers neck is the starter of the fight will look bad infront of you. What an interesting duo huh..

You see Ei, xiao and kujou sara, weapons out, chasing venti. Ah so the culprit was him. Better stop this nonsense as they might just kill the poor bard.

Your voice ecoed down your abode .

"ENOUGH"

And with that the whole caos seem to stop for a moment. Everyone in the room looks at you. Hehe, works everytime.

"Tell me what happened here" you demanded. And they told you the story you already guessed with just a glance through the room. (Poor nahida got scared the most ;;)

Venti was singing your praises, well... Mostly praises, he also used this opportunity to show off how much he is liked by you. Zhongli and Ei got angry, how dare he spit LİES and blasphemy about you and ruin your image?!

Zhongli kept his composure but it wasnt the same for Ei. Al haitham made a remark about his silance and that lead to the convertion you saw them have.

Nahida tried to stop Ei but it only fueled her more. The breaking point was when while venti was singing, and using his power to make affects, he accidently pushed over one of the most expensive ornaments, and told them you would forgive him anyways ehe.

You sighed, "why did this turn into that one scene in DDLC (doki doki litterature club) where Yuri and natsuki fight.."

"Your Grace, please tell us the truth, do you favor this bard more than us?" Ei said in desperation. But all you could see was Yuri, panicing over you not liking the poem more than the others.

Al haitham couldnt act like he didnt hear you, however, "Forgive my interruption... But what is.. DDLC?"

"DDLC... Hmmm... İ think i heard this one" Nahida speaked up. She knows???? Oh god she has been in your computer she knows....

"İf im not mistaken, İts a litterature club that is sentient. They are aware of the creators appearance from the start and theyre... Hmm.. quite friendly with your Grace"

To that, venti panics, "Y... YOU DO NOT FAVOR THEM MORE THAN US DO YOU?!?!"

You blush "WHA- N-NO?! WHAT DO YOU EVEN-"

"Could this be... That they created that world for them to be their courts?" Zhongli thought out loud, clearly more interested in the worlds purpose than the fact that you had lovers in other worlds.

"NO?! Well kinda??? bUT NO İ-" You panic, that WAS a dating simulator afterall, but you downloaded it for the spooks rather than... Well kind of that to.

You hide your face in your hands, somehow, you feel like you are being interrogated rather than interrogating them, "ima pull a sayori if this keeps up" you said between your hands.

Days later, you walk in the streets of Mondstat, and you overheard the rumbling of drunkards that are leaving cat's tail.

"Did youui knoo dat our beloved creto *hic* creted a world.. dats full of deir LOVERS?"

"Maaaannn i wish i was the creatoorr.... Having a whooolleee world as their court?! Now thats something."

"İ think we can call them.... Litterature fucker-"

....... You want to be mad.... But that was funny.

"but do they really have to do this every time you post a new picture of us?" he says, now scrolling through your instagram profile. there are the occasional promotional posts, but it's mostly personal, with pictures of you and dan heng flooding your feed.

his face is never seen in any of these pictures, so it lets people assume who or what your lover looks like. you aim to keep it this way, for dan heng's sake and for your privacy. "just let them," you say, taking his phone from him and putting it aside.

you rest your head on his shoulder, interlocking your arm with his. "they'll never guess correctly anyway. that means i have you all to myself," you tease, to which dan heng responds in a chuckle. "that true," he says quietly.

this isn't going to be the last time you'll get caught up in a dating rumor with another famous personality. he'd like to keep it that way, let your fans keep guessing and never get it right. because dan heng knows it's only going to be him with you, always.

he can never wait to finish work because of how badly he misses you all the time — especially if he’s on an expedition

he’s very teasing with you still, but not as much as everyone else. he’s definitely more down to earth and himself when he’s around you

whether they’re silly or deeply emotional and loving ones, the cavalry captain definitely writes you letters

he LOVES to cook for you, but it’s even better when you guys cook together (he’ll never admit it though)

super bashful about you, but he tries to cover it up with his charming and nonchalant facade (the only person he can’t hide it from is diluc)

speaking of diluc, kaeya claims he hates that you get along so well with him, but deep down he’s so unbelievably happy about it

cold? he’ll always give you his jacket or bring something warm for you just in case (especially because of his cryo vision)

Childe: I Miss You Kiss

you're waiting for him at the docks of snezhnaya, your heart pounding in your chest as the sound of the ship horn reached your ears. bouncing on your toes, you rubbed your hands together, trying to preserve some kind of warmth in your already numb hands.

the ship is getting closer, and you can only feel yourself getting more and more worked up as time went on. why were you so excited? you were able to finally see your fiance after weeks of sending letters of love back and forth. it was a coincidence that the ship was coming back right on valentine's day, it wasn't something you were complaining about.

you watched in excitement as the ship docked, a bridge laying out in preparation for its occupants to walk out. and walk out they did, but one seemed to be a bit more eager than the others, his ginger hair standing out from the pale white you had quickly gotten used to.

before you knew it, you were enveloped in his arms, his signature scent reaching your nose and making you inhale sharply. he was finally home... a gloved hand found its way onto your cheek, and you were quickly pulled into a kiss that made you let out a silent sigh. it was a sweet kiss, something that told millions of words without actually saying anything at all.

how are you? how have you been? i've missed you.

though you couldn't say anything right now, you were more than willing to do so later- however many times it took for him to truly understand it. you were going to spend your whole lives together anyways, ten thousand more 'i miss you's' wouldn't be that hard of a thing to achieve.

Kaeya: Tension Kiss

you and kaeya had a strange relationship, something bridging on the gap between friends and lovers. the tension between the two of you wasn't normal, and you've always hoped that behind those teasing words- were actual feelings.

kaeya was a naturally charming man. a fan favorite amongst the citizens of mondstadt, he indulged in the attention, though he never seemed to take it further than a few sweet words. at least, that's how he was with everyone else.

he was different with you... light touches that made your heart flutter in your chest, teasing words that made you retaliate back with words of your own. you weren't the only one who noticed how the (in)famous cavalry captain acted around you. in fact, one of those people was his own brother.

having grew up with the man, diluc wasn't a stranger to changes in his brothers' behavior. under the guise of wanting to keep kaeya from coming from him once more in a drunken rant (that's the reason he used to explain why he was doing what he was doing. it was a lie.) diluc decided to subtly reveal to you how strange he thought kaeya was being.

"he seems to be different around you, but i can't seem to figure out why. perhaps you should ask him." those were the words he told you, and while you did feel that there was some sort of ulterior motive as to why he even mentioned that, you still decided to listen to his advice.

and that brings us to tonight. kaeya was walking you home after a long night at the bar, and his reason as to why he wanted to do this was, "you had a few drinks, it would be improper of me to let you walk home by yourself, no?"

you initiated small talk, the conversation flowing smoothly between the two of you. eventually you made it to your front door, a small sigh leaving your lips once you realized that your time together was almost done. but you still had one more thing to do.

the question left your lips slowly, almost as if you were scared that he would shut you down the second you spoke. perhaps you were scared. you asked if there was a reason as to why he seemed so different with you. kaeya's uncovered eye widened with every word, eventually settling on looking to the side as you finished speaking.

you gave him time to process your words, trying to ignore the sinking feeling in your chest as you closed your eyes. seconds later, you were startled by the feeling of a slightly cool hand on your cheek. peeking an eye open, you watched as kaeya leaned in, a slightly flustered look on his face as he glanced down at your lips.

oh. so that's why he was acting this way.

"may i?" he asked, a slight tremble in his voice. you nodded slowly, taking the initiative and leaning in to kiss him. his lips were soft, and it almost seemed like they were made to perfectly fit yours. you shivered a bit, both because of the cold and because you were a tad bit nervous. but still, you didn't dare pull away.

i apologize for my Death. i hate school. anywho, three wheel spins and a generator brought you this!

prompt: burned tongues & feel better kisses <3

charas/content: zhongli, itto, gorou (this wheel definitely doesn't have an elemental bias..), gender neutral reader, author says you pray but it's a "thanks for the meal!" type deal, malewives (they all make you their special dish), ushi is a judgemental cow

Zhongli:

"Okay, love. The soup is finally done," Zhongli says, spooning a couple of fresh ladles into the two bowls he had prepared, watching you hum while setting the table.

You gave him a small smile, knowing that his ever-so-delicous slow-cooked bamboo shoot soup would put both your mind as stomach at ease, as if he had somehow cooked his patience into the soup. Maybe that's why it took so long to cook. No matter, it would go down the same anyway.

"Thank you, dearest," you reply, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, leaning up to press a small kiss to his cheek, the warmth making him smile. He placed the bowls down, both of you taking a seat next to eachother. Normally you would've sat across from each other, but your individal schedules had been clashing as of late, so this was one of the few times the two of you could spend together. After a small prayer. each of you pick up your spoons and gather some of the broth. Zhongli blew softly onto his, and you brought yours up to your tongue immediately.

"Mmph--!"

"Oh my, are you okay?" Zhongli asks, placing his soup back into his bowl, reaching over your your cheek as you're blowing softly between your lips.

"Haah... Forgot to blow... Hot soup..." You whined, sticking the tip of your now burned tongue out of your mouth, fanning it with your hand. Zhongli's eyes softened from worry to endearment, gently taking your cheek and pressing a small kiss to your mouth, pulling back with a thumb rubbing your cheek. He smiles softly, a smile that always makes you melt as he leans forward once more, this time to place a kiss on your forehead. "Do be more careful, love, won't you?"

"Um... Yes, sorry," you mumble, the burning on your tongue tansferring to your cheeks. He gave a small chuckle, returning to his soup. Every day, despite how much or little time you had together, he was reminded more and more of how much he loved you.

Itto:

"Babe! I finished the food!" Itto yells, bounding to the couch with two plates in hand, grabbing your attention away from the small cow in your lap. He let out a moo, which in turn caused Itto to grin more.

"Of course I've got some for you too, buddy!" He says, taking a seat next to you, handing you a plate with a sandwich filled with steaming yakisoba. The noodles seemed to be ever-so-slightly singed, but that was just the he cooked sometimes, and it wasn't indeible, so it didn't matter too much.

"Itto, did you have the stove too hot again?" You inqure, oppening your sandwich to let the contents inside cool off. He waved his hand, a smirk now adorning his features. "A little, but it's fine! The hotter it is, the stronger you'll be against hot stuff, right? Anyway, let's eat!" He says, before taking a bite out of his

"aaaAAAAHHHH!!!"

And there it was. You and Ushi both looked at eachother with a blank stare as the Oni next to you fanned his tongue, small tears pricking his eyes as he panted and whimpered. "Too...! Hot...!"

Ushi mooed once more, the red-horned male looking at him with an expression of emarassment and betrayal, defending himself against the ox.

"Hey! I am still plenty strong! It just caught me off guard, that's all! I didn't expect it to be that hot..." He mumbled, looking down with a pout. You let out a small sigh, placing Ushi next to you, before going over to sit on Itto's lap, cupping his cheeks. He looked up at you with teary eyes, fully expecting to be reprimanded, so his eyes went as wide as saucers when you kissed him, your soft lips pressing against his own.

"It's okay, Itto. I think you're still plenty strong, but even strong people get hurt. But that's why I'm here, to take care of you when you're hurt," you say, gently rubbing circles into his cheeks while he looks up at you, his eyes lighting back up. You climbed off his lap, taking your own sandwich back and tearing off a piece to feed to Ushi, side-eyeing Itto as he grabbed his own.

"But if you burn yourself again, you're on your own."

He slowly lowered the sandwich.

Gorou:

"Okay, here it is," Gorou said, placing down two bowls filled with his own special ramen, you pushing your documents to the side. Gorou had recently caught up with the new recruit's training, so the two of you had a calm night ahead of you.

He had taken the opportuniuty to cook for the both of you, something he hadn't done in a while. You didn't complain, wanting to look over a couple of files you had to turn in. You looked down at the bowls, a smile immediately adorning your face at the little puppy-like details in the ramen, from the paw-pring egg to the little Shiba decoration.

"I hope it's still good, it's been a while since I made it..." He said, his ears slightly drooping. You waved your hand, picking up your chopsticks and placing your hands together.

He follows your lead, the two of you giving a small prayer before preparing to eat. Luckily for you, (and unluckily for him,) Gorou's hands were just a bit faster, and you heard a small yelp, whimper, and tink! of a pair of chopsticks hitting a bowl, causing you to look over at him. His cheeks were slightly red and his ears were flat, his tongue sticking out and his tail curled up.

"Ow... I should've waited longer for them to cool off..." He whimpered, small tears coming to his eyes, him trying his best to blink them back. You gave him a small frown, cooing softly to him as you took his cheeks, turning him to face you.

"Oh, Gorou, it's okay... Does it hurt that badly?" You asking, taking note of the small tears in his eyes. You looked at him a bit longer, before deciding to lean forward, pressing a kiss to his lips, making his ears perk up in alert and his eyes widen.

As you pullled back, you noticed the start of his tail wagging, and his blush as he looked at you, reaching for your wrists.

"Does it still hurt, sweetheart?"

"N...No...."

"That's good. Let's give it a bit longet to cool off, okay?" You ask, reaching up to rub his ears while he was off guard, feeling him lean into your touch, nodding softly.

"Yeah... We can wait.." He mumbled, relishing in the warmth of your hand. Maybe the embarassment of burning his tongue wasn't as bad as his comfort?

life update : ( tw hospital mention , tw anxiety , tw depression , tw death mention , tw covid mention )

so two weeks ago when shit hit the fan in the genshin rpc with the callout , the same day i was met with some pretty devastating news .

for some background : not everyone is aware but back in 2020 i put my school on hold because i was working as a nurse full time and doing a ton of overtime during the pandemic . i was initially working in ortho and then transferred to critical care ( where i still am too ) during the end of 2020 when it got really bad during the holidays . because of everything from it my mental health was shit and i was dealing with the ptsd of the trauma and death i saw every day . i'm still not 100% but much better than i was .

i eventually was told i got into a masters program again to get my pmhnp - bc and after some delays i spent 2.5 years of my life on it . anyways fast forward to two weeks ago . i didn't pass the exit examination for my program by one point and was told all my hard work was basically for nothing and i'd have to start all over again elsewhere . tbh , i was devastated and i still am . i'm currently trying to get my bearings straight and find out what i need to do next , but i just need some time is all . by no means are my efforts wasted , nor is it the end of the world , but this setback has definitely made me re-evaluate a lot of my life .

i have time again but i've decided to pick up more hours at work to pay for another 50k+ program somehow ( crazy huh ) and to enjoy my vacation in december . i'm still here and am enjoying my time , but if my heart or attention isn't into things it's nothing personal . i'm here to enjoy my time and hobby when i can , and i'm just going where i am happiest , whether it's gaming for hours on end or writing a shit post then logging off . thank you to everyone who has extended their kindness to me over the last two weeks , and those who have been patient with me since i've joined the fandom . i know i don't really owe an explanation but i want to so you all can understand the stuff going on outside of here too .

Magolor: his ass LOVES world building. Anything that involves building/sandbox games he’ll play (like minecraft/Sims). He’s also a big fan of puzzle games (like Portal. I love Portal. So he loves portal.) and Tetris, fucking loves tetris

Marx: He plays a lot of coop/multiplayer games, nothing too specific he just likes playing and talking to other people. Also enjoys open world RPGS as long if there’s some kind of coop in it

Taranza: He doesn’t play a lot of games, when he does it’s to pass the time. Just like Magolor, he also likes puzzle games except he doesn’t use a tutorial. And story games (like visual novels/dating sims), he just likes watching stories and going into a crisis over any kind of angst happening (especially if it’s romance)

Susie: competitive mother fucker. Enjoys any kind of competitive games (like marx, they play together a lot), besides screaming at other people she loves almost breaking her phone from rhythm games (PJSEKAI/Bandori)

But the 4 of them will mostly play games together. Will be screaming at each other 99% of the time (mainly because of uno but shhh-) but it’s ok they’re still having fun (at least we think so-)

I’m in the Kirby fandom as of right now! I don’t know if this counts as a fandom but I really like Party Crashers! They’re my favorite youtuber rn along with sidequest! (I have more but I don’t wanna list them all)

I’m not really in the fandom but I do like Genshin! Fontaine just came out and I’m having so much fun I love the swimming feature (my storage is dying but that’s ok- I think-) and I like cookie run! Im not that into it anymore but I check in from time to time- my favorite is Lotus dragon they’re so pretty I love them so muchshennwnsmakskkw

Hi everyone, decided I should have a main post for all of you to see to get some information about me! My name is Ariessa or Ari. It’s not often you see a BotW fan AND Genshin Impact fan…what are your thoughts on the game mechanics in both that are extremely similar? Do you think one stole from the other?

oh 100% i think genshin impact stole its initial design and mechanics from botw. it's hard to pretend like it's a coincidence when one game came out 3 years after the other and almost everyone's immediate impression of it was "it looks just like botw!!" I remember when it first came out i IMMEDIATELY had people telling me i would like it because it was so similar to botw. just for that reason, nothing else. no mention of story or combat mechanics or gacha, just... it's exactly like botw. lol. and ESPECIALLY in mondstadt and liyue, where the open world is a lot of flat plains populated by the remains of ruined civilizations and monster camps, the. im going to be nice and say the INSPIRATION from botw is undeniable. they look exactly the same. I wouldn't be surprised if the grass asset was like. legitimately datamined and stolen line-for-line because they look so similar.

I will say that the open world is about where the similarities end between the two games. botw is a AAA big-name franchise game which spent multiple years in development and was a complete story upon release, and has a rich history of prewritten lore in the form of other games and media to back it up. Genshin is an online gacha game which, on release, was only 1/7 finished. and yes, teyvat is huge and there's a shit ton of lore and worldbuilding to be found, but unlike botw there was no foundation of lore to stand on when writing genshin, which means 100% of that worldbuilding must be found in-game, which leads to extremely long, wordy, and hard-to-understand quests, plus a ton of lore that just ends up buried in side quests or npc dialog that the average player will never know about. story-wise.... i mean. i could list similarities if i desperately had to, but aside from amnesiac protagonist (which was an established trope before botw anyway) there's really not a ton to say here. genshin's story and lore is decent, in my opinion. I don't think it compares to botw, in concept or in execution, but like i said before, genshin has no preestablished lore to get a foothold on. they're doing everything from scratch. and there are plenty of places where the story and lore falls short, either in concept or in execution, but comparing genshin's story to botw's when their circumstances and even the way their content is produced and released is so different just seems... unfair. like. of course botw is going to be better LMAO.

One of the most interesting things to me about the way genshin has developed is that the longer they go on releasing content the more they seem to be trying to distance themselves from the initial similarity to botw. one of the more notable ways this manifests is in the fact that they've almost entirely phased out the botw-style dungeon segments that were the domains in early-game mondstadt. the initial 6 or so domains you have to complete in mondstadt's archon quest were VERY similar in mechanics to botw's dungeons, in that it was less about fighting enemies and more about puzzles to solve. Now, though, even domains that are one-time completion dungeons are largely combat challenges rather than puzzle dungeons. I think they probably did this to distance themselves from botw in some way because open-world mini dungeons were like. one of botw's main mechanics. The newer locations like inazuma, the chasm, and sumeru also bear significantly less similarities to botw's terrain design than mondstadt and liyue. this may simply have been an effort to distinguish the nations from each other visually, but with sumeru being physically connected to liyue and mondstadt and yet lacking nearly any of the open plains and stone ruins that defined those two nations, it seems to me like a deliberate effort to move away from the botw aesthetic and develop a more unique style of worldbuilding for the game. Which is 100% a good thing!! i just kinda wish mondstadt and liyue were allowed the same thought and time that have clearly been put into inazuma and sumeru.

The fact that genshin appears to be actively attempting to branch out and create a coherent story and aesthetic for its world without.... "taking inspiration" from botw so heavily now that it's gotten a foothold in the industry is a really good sign to me. If I had to guess, the emphasis on the botw-like open world in the early days of its marketing was an attempt to capitalize on botw's insane popularity at the time, and tbh i think it was a smart move by their developers if a little underhanded. the nature of genshin's story is such that upon release they had almost NOTHING to draw people in except the initial conflict: "your sibling is gone and you have to find them." and they could PROMISE that more story content was coming in the future, but without something to satiate fans and draw new players in in the meantime the game was going to drown. a large open-world serves two important purposes: 1. drawing in new players who loved botw's worldbuilding and were looking for something similar, and 2. provide endgame content for returning players while the new story quests were being worked on. (this model doesn't work quite so well nowadays, with so many players stuck in a fairly underwhelming endgame for months at a time between updates, but when the game was released it was probably the perfect solution.) In any case, now that genshin has some notoriety and name-recognition of its own, it no longer has to rely on word-of-mouth "this game is just like botw!" to draw people in, and it's exciting to see that they recognize this and are taking the opportunity to branch out. i'm excited and cautiously optimistic to see where they'll take the game in future patches!
