🐨 as he blabbers, you can’t help but laugh at his explanation, and you’d let him know that it was all in the past, just advising him to be more attentive the next time

🐹 if you wanted to be petty and give him the silent treatment, he’d do the same

🐹 the house is absolutely silent as you two just don’t make any effort to talk to the other

🐹 you will still do your work around the house, just without sharing a single word between the two of you

🐹 that is until mashiho hurts himself while cooking because even tho he doesn’t admit it, he’s a bit worried if he went too far with the argument you two had

🤖 once you nodded, he’d sit down and discuss the situation, wondering if it was because of the argument you two had

🤖 he’d apologize for driving you to the point where you had to give him a silent treatment for him to understand

i don’t see hyunsuk as the jealous type, honestly

he’s one of the leaders of treasure, and we know that’s not an easy job

he’s got a lot on his mind at all times

i just don’t think he’d get into a relationship unless he knew he could 1000000% trust the person to stay loyal to him

otherwise, the relationship would just become another burden

so if he’s dating you, he trusts you and sees no reason to feel jealous that you’re close to other guys, including his members

he really doesn’t care about the shit you pull with them lol his trust in you is unwavering

i do think, however, his love language might be quality time

so if it ever happened that you’ve been spending more time with the boys and less time with him…

hyunsuk would be so pouty :((

and of course you don’t do it on purpose!! it’s all just a matter of schedules

you two are just never free at the same time these days, so when you have time to hang out, he’s busy and vice-versa

since you’d still want to have fun and distract yourself from... whatever problems you have in your life, you’d invite some of the boys

hyunsuk is still not jealous, he doesn’t feel like prying you away from them or smth

first of all i think he might feel moody lol

like in general, he’s a very sweet guy and he doesn’t seem to have mood swings that often, but when he’s jealous he can go from giggling to pouting in 3 seconds tops

he keeps your relationship very private for,,, may reasons, so he’s not one to do anything more than hold hands in public

but if he gets jealous…. he just might wrap an arm around your waist to pull you closer, or nuzzle the crook of your neck from behind

BUT THAT’S IT THO LMAO hyunsuk did that like 1 time and he was a stuttering mess for the rest of the night, poor thing

ah park jihoon… when will you learn

when he’s in front of you, jihoon LOVES to pretend he’s waaaay too cool and laidback to ever feel jealous

and that is such a lie

like yes he is ridiculously confident and all

but it never stopped him from having a meltdown whenever someone comes within 40 ft of you

(that includes his members, yes)

he doesn’t really like people staring at you, touching you, talking to you, existing around you—

it’s not that he doesn’t trust you btw

he does, with all his heart!!

he doesn’t trust other people

in jihoon’s head, you’re barely even a person yk, you’re some angel or deity

one way or another, COMPLETELY different from these crusty ass people he sees around you

…not that the members are crusty but he’d still like to stick a post-it to your forehead with his name on it

he’s usually not above glaring very hard at someone to have them back off

(and then pretending he totally wasn’t staring when you look up at him like me?? doing anything other than,, standing here and looking pretty? pshhhhhhhhhhh)

or call you by extra cheesy petnames to make it clear you’re with him

these include: cupcake, sweetie pie, muffin, snookums, PUDDING—

i could go on for days

if he’s jealous of one of the boys, the intimidation factor won’t be so strong but he makes use of being 1. leader and 2. older than most

he has no mercy

it’s like when they played that x-men game at the new yg building and whenever someone called jihoon’s name for help, the others would SCRAMBLE

he does that without you having to call him

he has a 6th sense for that lol

how to fix the situation: sit him down and tell him you have to be good friends with his members, ALL OF THEM, if the relationship is to last

then remind him that if you could pick someone to be with, out of every single person on earth, you’d choose him

no hesitation

he’ll come around after that, all blushy and swearing he wasn’t that jealous

but you know the truth and so does he

after a specially dramatic incident, you can bet jihoon will kiss the ground you walk on even more than usual

he’s just that grateful you put up with him <3

Yoshi

yoshinori is way too much of a pure soul to ever feel jealous on his own

if anything, he’s thrilled that you have so many close friends, cus it means more people that care about you and take care of you :)

he loves seeing you interact with his members too, really

it makes him all giddy cus it’s his friends and his partner… playing twister and laughing…. and he loves you all so much……..

the (few) times yoshi has ever felt jealous, it was bc of what other people said

the first time it happened, you were waiting for them to perform at an award show, and they were about to go up

yoshi was getting the final touches on his hair while you walked around to chat with the boys

doyoung seemed especially hyped that day, so you stopped to catch up before your boyfriend was done

he admired you from afar when dobby said something funny

you slapped his shoulder, snorted, whatever

and yoshi didn’t think anything of it until jihoon showed up, lightly punching his arm

‘wow, you really don’t mind them?’, he whispered, stealing a look at you

‘what you mean?’, yoshi furrowed his brows

‘it’d be losing it if that was my partner, that’s all’, jihoon shrugged

now, jihoon REALLY didn’t mean to make yoshinori have a mini breakdown, he commented on it without thinking much (we know he can be pretty blunt)

but that one comment sent yoshi spiraling in doubt

should he not be okay with that interaction? did one of you mean something he wasn’t seeing? was there something more to it?

poor yoshi was completely out of it the whole time they were on stage

he could remember the choreo and lyrics, but his expressions were off and he felt icky and suddenly these clothes seemed so heavy and—

he could barely even look at you once they were done

my boy managed to convince himself you didn’t love him anymore on the like 15 minutes you were apart <cries>

jealous!yoshi gives you the cold shoulder without meaning to

he just felt overwhelmed with all these new thoughts and concerns and needed to get away for a bit :(

how to fix the situation: i know it’s counterintuitive but first, leave him alone. his mind is gonna keep twisting the situation into something it isn’t, but he’d be too emotional if you tried to talk to him right away

once it’s been a few hours—even a whole day—you should approach him and start from the start

upset or not, yoshi’s never been one to hide his feelings from you, so he’d be honest about it and tell you the whole story

it wasn’t hard to spot the problem so you’d have to talk to him about validating his own emotions before listening to someone else

it was quite a serious topic but once he got your point, things went back to normal pretty quickly

long story short, yoshi and jealousy aren’t a good mix, so you should be happy he’s the chill type

Junkyu

i wouldn’t say junkyu is necessarily a jealous person

he pretty much lives in his own world most of the time so i really don’t think he’s paying close attention to what your interactions with his members look like

but i do think he’s prone to feeling left out

so, teume all know junkyu was able to overcome numerous confidence issues through inner work and training right

and GOOD!! FOR!! HIM!!!

but especially if you don’t have a lot of common interests, junkyu can feel a bit… inadequate for you, at times

for example, say you’re a very outdoorsy person who likes exercising, camping, the works

just last week you found a new hiking trail that’s said to lead to a super nice view so you wanna go there

if you asked any of the boys to come along, jihoon would be the first to volunteer

…and junkyu, the last

it’s just not his thing; he’s a homebody, he doesn’t like being outside that much, he’d rather nap but if you wanna go :( and he feels like he HAS to go too

he needs to make this effort and try to put up a front that’s like ‘i can keep up with you at all times!! i’ll do whatever you wanna do!’

otherwise, if he just told you it didn’t sound like his thing, you’d eventually realize you and him don’t have anything in common

and he thinks you’d replace him with someone else

someone who’s more like you :/

of course that doesn’t happen! you’re not a monster

but it’s always his first thought in situations like that, and after some time, he might start to feel jealous over his members

jealous!junkyu is quieter than usual and a bit crabby when you try to interact

he doesn’t participate in group conversations, doesn’t pull out the aegyo...

he’s not mad at you—if anything, he’s mad at himself, cus the whole ‘they’re gonna leave me’ thing brings out a looooot of ugly emotions in him

but at the same time, he can’t help it, he acts out before he can think it through and when he realizes, it’s already done

how to fix the situation: dedicate some time to do things junkyu likes, when it’s just the two of you

i’m not saying you shouldn’t do things you’re interested in, but let him know you’re fine with doing things he enjoys as well!!

i’m telling you

say you’re ordering fried chicken so you can stay in and watch a nature documentary, and you’ll see his eyes GLOW

baby might need a bit of time and patience to understand that relationships are not usually about sharing hobbies and tastes

he feels better once you say it’s never about what you’re doing, but who you’re with

and as long as he’s near you, you’re happy

junkyu deserves the world i adore him

Mashiho

i’m honestly still a bit on the fence about where mashi stands on jealousy…

bc we know he’s a veeeeery sweet guy, and mostly laidback too

he just rolls with whatever’s happening, cracks a joke or two...

but we also know he’s an aries

SO WHAT DO I KNOW??

i legit thought about this for like 4 days and i’ve come to the conclusion it’s pretty much 50/50 with him, hit or miss

some days he couldn’t care less if you and jaehyuk are wearing matching hoodies

but other days he’ll BARK if yedam breathes in your direction lmao

you know the way the boys said he’ll scold them if they mess up his room? (it’s the tmap ep they’re showing the dorms i think)

it’s pretty much like that

the main thing with him is that mashiho is quite possessive

he doesn’t like others messing with what’s his

(welp you’re not a thing but you’re his partner so whatever, in his mind it makes sense and i’m not about to fight him over it)

he enjoys being the sole focus of your attention, ok?

if lately you’ve been spending more time with someone else, mashiho would openly ask you to pay more attention to him

while smiling like this

i mentioned somewhere up there that he doesn’t like people messing with what’s his, but you’re exempt from that rule

whether it’s a beanie or a scarf or a book, he’d just rather you take his stuff—you don’t even have to ask!! just take it, it’s yours bestie, seriously

how to fix the situation: it’s simple, just let him take care of it instead of asking someone else

you shared a slice of cheesecake with jeongwoo once and he pouted for like a WEEK

another one who’s way too pure to actually experience jealousy

jae is so so so overjoyed you’re close with his members, seriously

for him that’s the best possible scenario

he loves getting everyone together, he loves seeing you have fun with the members, he loves that you have inside jokes ETC

and like yoshi, he just,,, doesn’t mind anything

hug junghwan, bite asahi, talk to junkyu about wearing matching outfits when y’all go out—

you won’t ever hear him complain about anything of the sort :)

there’s one little thing though that makes him kind of upset

and only upset, not even jealous jealous yk

it’s the members taking care of you

yoshi helping you put on your coat, mashi paying for your ticket when you all went to the ice skating rink but he was busy visiting his parents, jihoon tying your shoelaces…

his brain knows these can all be completly platonic acts and they’re normal, since you’re all friends

but also...

in jaehyuk’s head all of these are strictly HIS renponsability as your partner

like he’s pretty damn convinced his purpose in this lifetime (aside from his work duh) is to care for you

that’s how much he adores you

so when someone else cares for you, it can make him feel like he’s a bad boyfriend

cus that should be him, right??

he’s the one who’s supposed to do all these things

what i’m saying is one of his love languages is acts of service

and he’d COLLAPSE if that got taken away from him

how to fix the situation: let jae pamper you

seriously

let him buy you 2932 things you don’t need, put on your scarf for you, carry your bag…

hell, he’d carry you bridal style across the country if you asked him to

so... ask

always go to him first when you need anything

and i mean ANYTHING

him and mashi are the same way about this, that they wanna be the ones to help you out no matter what it’s about

i think for these two in particular, love is pretty much... that

caring for your needs in any way they can

Asahi

against all odds, asahi might be one of the most jealous members

it’s something he’s felt often since the beginning of your relationship—actually, he felt it since he started crushing on you

but he never realized what it was until he (hesitantly) talked to you about it and you explained it to him

and he went

‘oh’

now, he is also the most introverted person in the group

(not hard to see)

so…. it’s easy to assume these 2 facts don’t go very well together

he mostly feels jealousy creep up on him at social functions

as much as he LOVES his members (and i mean it, he loves loves loves them), he’s just better at hanging out one-on-one

getting together as nearly 15 people can make him feel overwhelmed, and when that happens, he really can’t pay close attention to you

he can’t talk to you a lot, listen to what you’re saying…

you figure he needs some space, bc you don’t wanna overwhelm him even more right

so you go talk to the other boys

and he sees you telling haruto about something that happened to you earlier that week

and you’re smiling, he’s smiling—

it makes asahi get the most awful feeling in his stomach

like you’re better off far away from him

like he was the one stopping you from having fun then

he’s even quieter than usual the rest of the night, and he’ll continue like that until you both sit down and talk

how to fix the situation: aside from (obvs) explaining that you don’t mind at all that he’s not that talkative/social, don’t leave asahi’s side when you’re together with the boys, no matter what

i don’t mean you shouldn’t talk to his members, i mean you should LITERALLY drag asahi’s ass around with you at all times

hell, he wouldn’t blink if you got him one of those children backpacks that come with a leash

just take him with you PLEASE

hold his hand, link your arms together… place a reminder in the back of his mind that you haven’t left him

and you never will

your presence will help so much istg

playing with your fingers, the zipper of your jacket, it’s the little things that help him feel more comfortable

and soon enough he’ll be back to being our weird lil robot

yedamie is not really a jealous guy in general

he’s very easy going so he operates on the same wavelength as yoshi and jae, aka, he couldn’t possibly be happier about your friendship with his members

“No, it’s great, it’s perfect.”

You smiled in relief as Yoshinori’s bright eyes continued to listen to you. “In that case, shall I tell you what I’ve got planned?”

“Absolutely, tell me all about it.”

Junkyu:

“Something smells nice,” Junkyu grinned as he noticed you walking into his room, watching as you held out a bag to him.

“I thought I’d stop by with a little something,” you hummed as Junkyu stood up from his bed to greet you.

His arm slightly moved around you, but his eyes were more drawn to what you held in your hand. “Is this for us?” He asked excitedly, biting down in anticipation.

“Yes,” you laughed, watching Junkyu’s smile finally grow properly as you handed the bag across to him. “I wasn’t sure if you’d eaten because you mentioned that you were busy.”

Junkyu couldn’t help but quickly start looking through the bag. “I’ve had a few snacks, but I’ve not had anything proper really.”

“Why don’t you tuck in?” You suggested.

“And you too?”

Your head nodded in reply, “I’ll get whatever is left, you need to make sure that you eat after the busy day you’ve had.”

Mashiho:

“What’s this?” Mashiho asked as he took the envelope that you offered to him, tearing open the back of it with an intrigued look.

“I really hope you like it,” you told him, taking a step back as you watched him reach inside the envelope.

Mashiho pulled out the contents, reading the tickets that he had in his hand. “Japan?” He asked you, looking across at you to make sure that he was right.

“I thought you might like to go home with your time off,” you replied, watching his eyes light up. “No one seemed to be arranging anything for you, so I decided to take it upon myself.”

Mashiho dropped the envelope before wrapping his arm around you, “I can’t even say thank you, this is just incredible Y/N.”

“You deserve to go home,” you noted.

◇ EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING

synopsis: You were the bad girl. He was ever so faithful. What happens when he’s had enough?

snapshot: 99.9% angst, female reader, boyfriend Junkyu, colleague Jaehyuk, infidelity, drunk, one-night stand, is this a happy ending

sky says: Here’s a story I wrote a looooooong time ago that I published on another platform, just to serve as a teaser of my writing prowess (>_<) my actual writing skills may have deteriorated though [I hope not!] Also, obviously I tweaked the original so that the story could fit Treasure… if you enjoy this please feel free to send a request! ◇ The Fight, If It Was Even One

You wipe the counter, missing the sprinkling of crumbs right in front of you. Your eyes are looking straight at it without actually seeing it. It’s the way you usually are these days, ever since the fight. The one that happened right in this very kitchen, if it could even be called a fight.

“Why is he here?” he had asked.

“He was drunk last night and gave my address to the taxi driver. It was nothing,” you had insisted. You had shrugged your shoulders and sipped from your coffee mug.

“It’s not nothing if he spent the night here!” he had hissed at you. How dare he.

“So what if he spent the night? This wouldn’t be the first time...” your voice had trailed off as you realised your blunder. You had bit your lip and glanced at him, wondering how he’d take that in.

He had stood there fuming. The muscles in his right cheek, the side that had been facing you, had twitched from the way he had gritted his teeth.

The person in question had appeared at the kitchen entrance then, only halfway done pulling his own shirt over his head, allowing the two people in the kitchen a glimpse of his well-toned abs.

“Noona, I think I’ll be going now. Thanks for...” he had shot a look at the man still standing motionless near the sink, then smirked to himself and continued mysteriously, “...last night.”

“Wait... aren’t you at least going to finish your coffee?” you had asked.

“That’s okay, I’ve had some. Besides, Junkyu hyung’s here now. I’ll just be in the way.”

“Well, let me just walk you out.”

“Really, it’s fine noona. I can let myself out. See you at work?”

“Oh alright. Yeah, see you.”

Junkyu had waited until he heard the faint sound of the front door click shut before he spoke.

“_______, I can’t do this anymore. Last time I believed you. This time... I don’t know. After what I saw, I just... I don’t know.”

You had looked up then. Am I hearing things? Has he finally grown some balls? Have I really pushed it too far this time? You had cleared your throat and put on your best poker face. “You’ll forgive me. Just like you always do. This time won’t be any different.”

At your words, he had looked resigned. “Are you saying that what I thought happened last night, happened?”

“What do you think?” you had replied, a challenge clear in your voice.

“Then it’s over.” Just like that, he had left.

You waited two weeks for his call: it never came. He didn’t text you to tell you that you were forgiven, like always. He didn’t come by the bar where you worked. In fact, there was no word from him at all. You weren’t worried, not at the time. You knew it would take him time. Another two weeks should do it. You weren’t going to panic and call or look for him. Oh no, you weren’t one to do that. He’d be back soon enough. Meanwhile, there was plenty of other game. You had thought of Jaehyuk then, and felt kind of guilty towards both of them.

◇ The Past, When It All Started

You knew you weren’t pretty, not what people would ordinarily call pretty anyway. Because of that, you made up for it with an aura of confidence that was irresistible to the people around you. You were no stranger to attention. In high school you hadn’t fit in anywhere--partly because you didn’t want to--but you always had a string of boys following you around, worshipping the ground you walked on. Hell, you’d even had a girl ask you out. And although girls really didn’t pique your interest, the way you’re attracted to him might have just proven that wrong. His baby face and full pouty lips. That smooth jawline. Unblemished clear skin. You would’ve thought he was a girl if it weren’t for his school uniform. You did think he was a girl that first time you two met, until he stood up.

“What do you think you’re doing?” you had asked the person you noticed lurking behind the bushes.

“Um... watching you play?” Such a bold answer from someone who’d been trying so hard not to be seen. It had totally taken you by surprise, which wasn’t something easy to do.

“Me, why?” The person had shrunk even lower behind the shrubs at your question. You had waited for an answer but when none came, you had said, “never mind if you’re not going to tell, keep on watching then”. And you had grabbed the ball you came for off the ground and flounced away.

“I like you!”

You had turned around, surprised once again. Twice in as many sentences. He had stood where you could see him, away from the bushes. You had liked what you saw straightaway.

You two had been together ever since.

Four years.

And you had never been faithful.

Maybe it was partly his fault. He kept on being so forgiving. Even when he had found you locking lips with Haruto, the dashing basketball team captain, behind the bleachers in the gym. Even when you had told him you’d be studying at the library, but his best friend Jihoon saw you making out in the art room with some guy. Even when you had broken off your date, countless times over the years, to go out with someone else. Even when he stopped by your workplace, just to keep you company on your breaks from DJing, and you had flirted with the good-looking younger bartender right in front of his eyes.

Always, he would just shrug his shoulders and say that you were just being yourself.

“I love you, because you’re you. You are your own person, and I wouldn’t change that for the world” is what he would say every time you asked if he was angry at you for the things you did.

But that fateful morning he had come to your house to see if you wanted to go get breakfast together, let himself in with the spare key you yourself had given him, found you in the kitchen with that same bartender, who was shirtless and hugging you from the back, had that conversation with you, and something must have snapped in him. For the first time in four years, Junkyu went away.

And stayed away.

The two weeks that you had thought would be enough had turned into two years. You had feared for the worst when he still hadn’t contacted you after two months. Your calls had gone straight to voicemail. You had found out that he resigned from his job. And moved out of his apartment. He had vanished, just like that. Out of your life, without so much as a single word of goodbye.

You had been living with many regrets these past two years. You should have been faithful. You should have treated him better. You should have shown him how much he means to you. You should have explained to him that he’s the only one you love. You should have told him you didn’t mean to hurt him. You were just worried that if you weren’t wanted by other guys, he wouldn’t want you either. You should have realised that you were being stupid, thinking stupid things and behaving even more so.

You should never have cheated on Junkyu. For quite a while you hadn’t intended to. Except when you started work as a DJ at one of the hottest nightclubs around town, things tend to happen. Especially when there’s a private function every other weekend, and leftover booze already paid for by the client gets shared among the staff. When you started working there, you managed to stay relatively sober at first. By the third private party, however, you had woken up the day after in somebody else’s bed. You had been so plastered, you didn’t even remember Jaehyuk taking your home.

◇ The Affair, Unintentional As It Was

Jaehyuk is hot, you had to admit that. And the youngster was really good at his job, which meant he could do those fancy things bartenders do just to show off, like flipping glasses in the air and juggling bottles, all while flirting with customers and fixing their drinks. Which meant he was a performer while being a bartender, and that only added to his hotness factor. He was also very much into you, which he had made clear from the first day you came to work. And although you had been very flattered at getting the attention of a younger man, you hadn’t meant to take things any further, even after you two had slept together.

And then it had happened again.

You hadn’t even been drunk. You had actually been stressing in your head for one whole day over what to get Junkyu for your upcoming anniversary and then, at work, some drunk had jumped up onto your DJ platform and managed to grope you before club security got to him. You had been shaken up by the incident and Jaehyuk had been so nice, giving you a drink to calm your nerves and offering to send you home after work. The two of you had talked during the drive and he had given you some good suggestions for Junkyu’s gift. When you arrived at your apartment, you had been the one to invite him up for a drink.

That time too, Junkyu had come to your house in the morning. He had seen Jaehyuk leaving and asked you about it, and you had lied. Although he looked at you somewhat suspiciously, he had believed you. You didn’t think much about it, until he had opened his mouth later when you were having breakfast together.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if you have something going on with that boy. I swear, those abs can really turn someone’s head.”

Amazed that he had even noticed, you had asked, “and exactly when and where would you have seen his abs?”

“Remember when your nightclub had that new year staff party and I came early with you to help? I happened to come out of the bathroom stall when he was changing his t-shirt.”

You had jokingly asked whether you should start getting worried about losing him to a guy and the two of you had laughed over that. But he had got you worried.

You had worried about being caught cheating on Junkyu with Jaehyuk. That you would get caught was inevitable: you always got caught. But the things you had done had always been one-time stuff. With people you had just met, or people you barely knew or had once known. You had never before been involved with a colleague, or a friend. And Jaehyuk was both. And you had worried whether that would be too much for Junkyu when he finally found out.

You quit your DJ job not long after he left. You couldn’t look at Jaehyuk and not be reminded that Junkyu was gone. Jaehyuk tried to make you stay, to forget Junkyu and be with him, but you stood by the decision you had made about your relationship that same day Junkyu last stood in your kitchen.

Late the night before, you had opened your door to the sound of the doorbell and an older man had stood there, struggling under Jaehyuk’s weight. You had taken Jaehyuk off the taxi ahjusshi, thanked him and put the tipsy Jaehyuk to bed. Of course you had ended up sleeping together yet again. But you had woken up very early in the morning, with an uneasy sense of foreboding. You couldn’t shake it off to go back to sleep, so you had gone into the kitchen to make coffee and breakfast.

You had sensed somebody watching you while you were pan-frying the second omelette. A shirtless Jaehyuk had been leaning against the kitchen counter watching you cook, all the while smiling that sweet smile of his. You had poured him a cup of coffee, and set down the omelette. In your head, you had been pondering how to broach the subject. When Jaehyuk had finished with his food and pushed his plate away to finish his coffee, you knew you couldn’t stall the matter any longer.

“Jaehyuk, I think we shouldn’t do this anymore.”

He had looked up from his cup, dismay all over his adorable face. “What are you talking about, noona?”

“I know you like me, but I don’t feel the same for you.”

“But noona...”

You had grabbed his plate and taken it to the sink. Standing there busying yourself with the washing, you had pondered your words carefully to try to be gentle. “I really hope you won’t make this difficult, Jaehyuk. We can still talk at work as usual. There’s just some things you have to stop doing. Like, you can’t just crash here whenever you feel like it. Like last night. And stop showing up at my door just because you’re ‘in the neighbourhood’. You don’t even live near here. You need to stop doing these things.”

You had flinched a little when you felt Jaehyuk’s arms snake around your waist. He had rested his cheek on your shoulder and whispered, “but noona, I don’t just like you. I love you.”

You had been struck speechless with the thought of causing him agony for that, but the feeling was fleeting. The moment to be gentle had passed. “That’s really too bad Jaehyuk, ‘cause I’ve never been serious with you.”

Jaehyuk had stiffened at your words. “No, noona, that can’t be. You feel something for me, I know you do.”

“Don’t kid yourself,” you scoffed. He had grabbed your shoulders and turned you around then, so that he could look you in the eyes, and that had been when you noticed the other person in the kitchen.

“________.” You become conscious that you’re staring into empty space. It’s almost as if you had really heard his voice. You look at the counter you have been absently wiping and see a few droplets of water among the crumbs. You raise one hand to your cheek: you don’t even realise you have been crying. You look back at the spot where Junkyu had stood two years ago, and more tears run down your cheeks. For two years you have held them away; two years of telling yourself he will be back, he always comes back. Two years of pretending nothing has gone wrong while your heart ached, burning with the emptiness of missing him. Two years of knowing you brought this on yourself and there’s no one else to blame. You couldn’t do this anymore. Just like two years ago, when Junkyu couldn’t deal with you anymore. You break down on the kitchen floor, sobbing uncontrollably, the crumbs on the counter forgotten.

◇ The Lesson, Learnt The Hard Way

Junkyu knows he had gone away for a long time. He couldn’t help but wonder: have you changed? Would you still remember him? Absence may make the heart grow fonder, but being out of sight might also result in being forgotten. He had been trying so hard to stay away, but it had been difficult, and the difficulty had not lessened with each day that passed.

Right now, he is home. It’s true he had ended things, or put them on hold the way he saw it, but deep down in his heart nothing has really changed. You still own his heart, completely and utterly. There’s nothing in the world that can destroy that, not even all your infidelities, and no amount of time will ever erase that fact. He stands in front of your apartment, the first time in two years, and hopes that the scene inside will not be like the last time. He reaches for the spare key in his pocket--he hadn’t returned it when he went away--and inserts the key in the lock.

You are sitting on the floor in the kitchen. Your eyes are dry now, you are silent. Your breathing is no longer wracked with sobs. You feel tired, like you haven’t slept in days. You grab at the kitchen stool near you to pull yourself up to stand, and that’s when you notice the other person in the kitchen.

You look at the man who is standing in the exact spot where Junkyu had stood two years ago. He seems so real. You’re not going to convince yourself he is, though, not this time. Just your imagination gone wild, you’re used to that now. But you do notice that he doesn’t look the same as how you always remember him. He looks… older somehow. He also looks lonely, well that hasn’t changed. He looks sad, that hasn’t changed either. No, despite these little differences you know he’s just a figment of your mind, brought up by your aching need to see him. You shake your head to vanquish the thought, and go to the sink to wash the rag you have been using to wipe the counter.

“_______.”

The voice startles you, you almost drop the rag. It’s almost as if you had really heard it. You continue to rinse the cloth. A part of you is telling you that the voice is real, but you couldn’t bring yourself to believe it. You have waited to hear that voice for two years. You’ve heard it so often in your mind, and you have always been disappointed. No, you tell yourself. No, it’s not real.

You flinch a little when you feel arms snake around your waist. A warm body against your back.

“_______, I’m home.” Warm breath against your neck.

You drop the rag this time. You twist around to face him, still in his arms. That baby face and smooth jawline. Unblemished clear skin. The thick dark hair you love so much. You reach up to touch his face. Warm skin under your hand. He smiles, pulls your hand to his lips and kisses your palm. You have voided your eyes of tears just a short while ago, yet they flow freely again in the joy of this moment.

You throw your arms around Junkyu’s neck and cries for the second time that day. He has come home.

Junkyu hugs you tightly and kisses your hair. His hand rubs soothing circles on your back. He is home.

All is forgiven once again.

yedam sang while playing guitar, looking at you behind the cameras, smiling at you.

“you know it's only you and me, always.” he again sang, dedicating the song to you with all love.

the song end and yedam put the guitar on the table on the right side walking towards you, you smile and gave him a big hug. putting your arms around his neck while his arms are on your waist

“isn't that the song you wrote year ago?” you said breaking the hug and wipe his non-exist sweat.

“hmm” he said drinking the water you gave him. “then why did you just release it just now?” you asked and he chuckled, “because i want you to hear it before the others and you know that i only release songs when it's our anniversary or our birthdays right?” he said.

it's true, he only release some of his songs when it's your anniversary or your birthday, his birthday and sometimes he release his songs at your favorite month and number, too.

It's cringe but you can't deny the fact that you love it. the song he just sing minutes ago was also dedicated to you, almost every song he wrote is always about you and his love for you.

you even made a playlist full of his song all about you, funny how you always have to be in set whenever he will sing because that's the only way he can express his feelings.

but it was also hard dating an idol, you can't date outside freely, private relationship, always busy, you can't tell people that bang yedam is your boyfriend, cameras everywhere.

It was exhausting and overwhelming for the both of you, but the both of you just stayed silent and didn't bring that topic. no one did

you were getting tired of your relationship, but you still fight for the both of you. you wanted freedom, you wanted to breathe, you were exhausted and tired, but you choose to stay at yedam's side.

“as long as he's happy, that's enough.”

you said to yourself.

“love?” yedam looked at you, and you smiled at him “are you okay?” he asked with worried look and you tiredly smile.

his eyes soften and hug you, you both are each others rest. he know what's happening, you were tired not physically but also mentally.

the ride was awkward, none of you speak. today was supposed to be your anniversary but since he have a tight schedule you both can't go outside or date.

you were used to it but you were also getting tired of it. “love? is there something wrong?” yedam broke the silent still focusing Infront.

“yedam i'm tired ” you said looking at your lap. yedam looked at you then went back on driving, “what?” he said as the car start to slow down so the both of you can have properly conversation.

“we can't continue this anymore.” you said wiping your dry tears, “I can't support the both of us anymore. all i did this past 5 year was to support and understand our relationship but i'm getting tired of it! I- i always try to understand us but i'm so sick of trying to understand this relationship!”

you said looking at him. he was looking at his hands, trying to avoid your gaze. “I'm tired to, i'm so fucking tired too but you're my rest.” he pause for a minute “then you will just leave me?” he said looking at you with tears in his eyes.

“why can't you just let me leave? i'm tired. i'm so exhausted! I want to breathe!” you shouted.

“I'm sorry, I'll do better. I'll do everything just please don't leave me.” he said trying to hold your hand. “stop” you said as you look at him.

“do you still love me? answer me.” he said and you avoid his question. “I will leave, I will start a new life.” you said avoiding his gaze.

“without me?” he said looking at you. “I can't look at you anymore” you said fixing your stuff.

“am i not part of your dream anymore?” he said making you froze. “all of you...all of you are so fucking exhausting. I want to rest, i need to rest. I need to take a break” you stop mid way taking a breath.

“can't you just give it to me, huh?” you said looking at him desperately. “you're tired of me?” he softly ask not breaking the eye contact.

“fine” he glup and wipe his tears, “if that's what you want, the go.” he said looking away.

letting him go was never easy, but you have to. to have your own freedom.

and they let go of eachother, y/n having her freedom and yedam being happy for y/n because she’ll be free, even tho it hurts him inside.

“by choosing you, you made me the happiest i can be, but also you made me the saddest i can be.”

💎 listening to their suggestions, he’ll ask a staff member to provide you with some blankets and a hotpack — and will continue to check in with you for the night

💎 if he sees that you and your group are all sitting right under the aircon, he’ll ask his members if they are alright with exchanging seats with you guys before letting you know

💎 and if you end up exchanging seats, he'll be in full smiles for the entire night

💎 because you'd be sending him little "thank you" messages constantly, and it'd make him super content

💎 whenever he turned to look at y'all and see you guys fully enjoying the night, he'd feel accomplished, glad everyone is having a good time

💎 "i'm always down to help you out, okay, babes? just let me know and i will do whatever i can."
