mark is usually pretty clingy with you already, but he turns it up to the max before a tour

being away from you like that is one of the parts about his job he hates the most, and yeah, he knew what he was signing up for since the beginning

but he can’t help but be heartbroken about it every. single. time

the other members know him well enough to give like a 2 weeks notice for him to get his shit together and spend as much time with you as humanly possible??

cus otherwise, he’ll get caught up in rehearsals, schedules and whatever else and then the day before they leave be like

“oh shit”

and if that’s the case we all know mark is gonna be miserable during the whole thing right lmao

yeah mom taeyong isn’t letting that happen

mark normally sees the time before a tour as an opportunity to check off a LOT of things from your couples bucket list

like, do you have any tv shows you’ve been meaning to watch together? you’re binging it today

you wanted to visit that coffee shop right? get your coat, you’re going rn

you wanted to buy matching bracelets yeah? he’s already got them

and it’s just a very fun, loving time for the both of you

it keeps you busy enough not to spiral about what it’s gonna be like not seeing each other for months

of course, it doesn’t work 100% of the time

especially at night, when mark’s about to fall asleep, the loneliness of not having you around starts to seep in

and it’s like he says goodbye to you in his head before it happens irl

which is 1. sad as heck??? and 2. kinda suffering through it twice, cus he always thinks he’s gonna be more “well prepared” for it this time, and that’s never true

by now it’s probably pretty obvious touring is a very dramatic experience for him right lmao

johnny’s always like “bro it’s just a couple months you’re gonna be f i n e” but for mark it’s,,, not that simple

he’d rather say bye when it’s just the two of you, maybe at your place or somewhere nice

it feels a lot calmer when it’s like that, cus then it’s tight hugs, some kisses and mark saying he promises he’ll text you every day and call you as much as he can

and yeah maybe one of you lets a tear or two fall down but it’s fine

now

if you go with them to the airport

it’s gonna be so much more chaotic like holy crap, trust me, not going is the better option

if for some unknown reason you’re like “no i’ll go with you to catch the plane and we’ll say bye there”

there’s gonna be a lot more crying involved

cus it’s one thing hugging you bye when his flight’s in 6 hours or so, but it’s a whole other thing when everyone’s already boarding and some other member is trying very hard to be gentle but he has to go NOW

it’s all so rushed he can barely even tell you he loves you :(

mainly bc he wanted to keep hugging you until he absolutely had to let you go

oh well

mark is 10000% the type to ask you to put together a playlist for him to listen to during the trip

he can be a bit of an airhead at times but he does his best to keep you updated on how he’s doing, where he is right now, things of the sort

so he tries to text you the moment the plane lands, when they get to the hotel, when he’s eaten

and it’s not even just texts

it’s a cute candid selfie AND a text

now

mark is definitely not the best photographer in nct

but he will try so hard to take good pictures for you

cus all he wants is for you to feel like you’re there with him, seeing all those cool places

having said that, most pictures do turn out to be crappy

but he’s willing to ask for help from another member so it’s all good lmao

(i’m looking at johnny, jaemin or tyong tbh)

sends you a picture of every single dog or cat he sees

absolutely every single one

keeps a clock in your timezone in his phone so he knows the best times to text/call

speaking of calling

i’m sorry to tell you you’re not getting a one on one facetime session with him

it’s just not happening

like it may last 5 minutes tops, but that’s the time it takes for someone to hear your voice/barge into his room and immediately ask to talk to you

haechan, johnny, yukhei and baek do that a lot

but normally the other members follow lmao

it’s 50% to annoy him but 50% bc they genuinely wanna see you

it doesn’t bother you too much cus you know

they’re cute or whatever

he’s not really the type to get small trinkets from every place he goes to bc that’s just ??so much??

instead, he’ll probably get you one really nice gift

like this huge plushie he had to carry around himself on their way back home bc no one had enough space in their bags for it

or a new perfume he thinks you’ll like

one last thing bc this is already way too long

mark is the KING of backstage pictures and TMI's about the other members

like at this point you have enough blackmail material to torture them for 6 months minimum

and tbh it’s mainly haechan when he’s with dream/127 and jongin with superm lol

but he keeps it varied

you end up with even some derpy jaehyun pics, best case scenario

he’s already making plans on how you are gonna celebrate him being back home

…and it most likely includes building a pillow fort and watching marvel movies but i didn’t tell you that

renjun as a seer: seers are mortal souls who have gained the ability to see and interfere with destiny, as well as the past, present and future. injun first began learning more about it thanks to his reflexive and introspective nature, and ig he just?? never stopped learning lol his preferred way of seeing are tarot cards, and he always carries at least 1 deck with him (it was a birthday gift from kun and when i tell you IT IS SO PRETTY, it’s astronomy themed!!!) he can also do palmistry but it makes him uncomfy, because that’s when it’s easiest to mess with someone’s fate and he didn’t sign up for that. in his opinion, fate should be left the fuck alone and no chenle, he won’t try to make you the future ruler of the world. just no. seeing so many things and different timelines can really fuck your head up tho. that's mainly why he has such a dreamy, otherwordly air about him, he’s pretty much just trying to sort it all out

jeno as a paladin: paladins are warriors made holy, whatever their quest might be. jeno actually trained as a squire + swore his oath in the same order jungwoo serves, and his mission is to protect and aid any form of life he may encounter <3 haechan’s existence tends to make that harder tho lmao no but for real, even renjun has said he was born for this. his glittering armour, broadsword and shield all feel like an extension of him, and he puts so. much. work. and effort into his mission, i love him UGH!! his dilligence has earned the respect of everyone in this kingdom and others, so now he’s basically the nation’s protector but also the nation’s son in law? despite everything, he lives a pretty humble life. his main focus within the guild is to assist missions as a healer (shoutout to jungwoo for training him in basic light magic) and tank (ain’t no one getting hurt on his watch)

jaemin as a witch: my god this is such a beautiful aesthetic, quick, imagine jaemin in his cottagecore outfits and cute pointy hat wandering the woods for pinecones!! jaems connection to magic was clear since his childhood, but he’d rather do his own thing than attend an academy (see: mages), commit himself to religion (see: priest) or abandon his (extensive) wardrobe for a humble life among nature (see: druid). so now he just sometimes summons entities for tea and makes questionable potions. that’s pretty much it. he keeps going through grimoires way too fast bc his potions spill or he lets a candle burn for too long and starts a fire?? his solutions to these is to keep calm and burn a bit of sage <3 everything is FINE and his vibes are IMMACULATE <3 chenle is his potion tester. when unsupervised he’ll just show up and chug any flask he finds so now jaem might as well watch and see what happens lmao

chenle as an alchemist: scholars will tell you the essense of alchemy is transmutation but they’re LYING! the essense of it is insanity and chenle lives by that rule. he’s secured his role as the guild’s alchemist pretty much bc there weren’t any others at the time?? it’s not like taeyong was dying for the guild to have someone that explodes shit and defies nature for a living but oh well. he’s brilliant though. in an evil genius kind of way. if he’d pick up a book and learn from others’ experiments his career would skyrocket. instead, he’d rather make all the mistakes and tests himself, cus it’s “more fun” this way. now, the funny thing is, most of his devices are really good. they always work the way they’re supposed to & shit but if you ask him for a potion??? 50-50 hit or miss. might give you the strength of 100 men or might give you chicken pox. wanna find out?

jisung as a conjurer: through his few years of life, jisung figured very early that he is not, in absolutely no way, shape or form, a fighter. but he also can’t cook, or sew, or grow plants, or do anything normal. so magic it is. thing is, he also figured the easiest form of magic would be conjuring cus like. you wave your wand around a couple times and BOOM now you have a giant to fight for you! yeah it absolutely does not work that way and he did find that out at some point, but by then he was way too invested to just quit lmao he’s also the most easily distracted caster you’ll ever meet. that means whenever he’s about to start a conjuring ritual, everyone’s gotta step at least 10 m away, and not talk to him and/or make eye contact. just don’t. that’s how he ended up summoning a drunk gnome instead of doyoung’s tome

bonus:

ever since chenle first dragged renjun to meet everyone at the guild, it has become a habit to ask for a group reading before they leave for a mission. it’s super useful and it’s saved their asses from going through shit like an avalanche before

jisung ABSOLUTELY HATES going on missions with johnny or yukhei. they always pack nearly nothing but their swords bc “jisung can conjure anything we might need :)” and we all know that doesn’t work out well

taeyong doesn’t allow chenle to test his potions at the guild after that one time he turned hendery into a hammerhead shark/butterfly hybrid

now i did say both chenle and jaem brew potions but they’re,,, written in different fonts. jaemin’s potions are always “this will grant you a small wish and make everything taste like your favourite foods for two days!! 🌻❣️😚🍄” while chenle’s are more “drink this if you wanna shoot lightning from your eyes”

jeno is the guild’s own vending machine except you don’t need to pay him. just ask and he’ll hand you food. the kingdom’s people adore him so much he just gets goodies whenever he buys anything at the taverns and bakeries?? like :] ma’am i only wanted a sandwich, i can’t possibly take this whole batch of cookies home for free :] (meanwhile chenle somewhere behind him: what r u doing just shut up and take it)

jaemin has a pet who’s really just a regular snake that he pretends is his familiar to spook others lol her name is ‘fluffy’ and whenever someone’s testing his patience he starts whispering to her like he can hear her speak

jaemin: hm? what did you say, fluffy? you think you should bite haechan to see how long a human can endure your venom until they pass out??? aww, that’s such a lovely experiment! hey hae—

i don’t see hyunsuk as the jealous type, honestly

he’s one of the leaders of treasure, and we know that’s not an easy job

he’s got a lot on his mind at all times

i just don’t think he’d get into a relationship unless he knew he could 1000000% trust the person to stay loyal to him

otherwise, the relationship would just become another burden

so if he’s dating you, he trusts you and sees no reason to feel jealous that you’re close to other guys, including his members

he really doesn’t care about the shit you pull with them lol his trust in you is unwavering

i do think, however, his love language might be quality time

when he’s in front of you, jihoon LOVES to pretend he’s waaaay too cool and laidback to ever feel jealous

and that is such a lie

like yes he is ridiculously confident and all

but it never stopped him from having a meltdown whenever someone comes within 40 ft of you

(that includes his members, yes)

he doesn’t really like people staring at you, touching you, talking to you, existing around you—

it’s not that he doesn’t trust you btw

he does, with all his heart!!

he doesn’t trust other people

in jihoon’s head, you’re barely even a person yk, you’re some angel or deity

one way or another, COMPLETELY different from these crusty ass people he sees around you

…not that the members are crusty but he’d still like to stick a post-it to your forehead with his name on it

he’s usually not above glaring very hard at someone to have them back off

(and then pretending he totally wasn’t staring when you look up at him like me?? doing anything other than,, standing here and looking pretty? pshhhhhhhhhhh)

or call you by extra cheesy petnames to make it clear you’re with him

these include: cupcake, sweetie pie, muffin, snookums, PUDDING—

i could go on for days

if he’s jealous of one of the boys, the intimidation factor won’t be so strong but he makes use of being 1. leader and 2. older than most

he has no mercy

it’s like when they played that x-men game at the new yg building and whenever someone called jihoon’s name for help, the others would SCRAMBLE

he does that without you having to call him

he has a 6th sense for that lol

how to fix the situation: sit him down and tell him you have to be good friends with his members, ALL OF THEM, if the relationship is to last

then remind him that if you could pick someone to be with, out of every single person on earth, you’d choose him

no hesitation

he’ll come around after that, all blushy and swearing he wasn’t that jealous

but you know the truth and so does he

after a specially dramatic incident, you can bet jihoon will kiss the ground you walk on even more than usual

he’s just that grateful you put up with him <3

Yoshi

yoshinori is way too much of a pure soul to ever feel jealous on his own

if anything, he’s thrilled that you have so many close friends, cus it means more people that care about you and take care of you :)

he loves seeing you interact with his members too, really

it makes him all giddy cus it’s his friends and his partner… playing twister and laughing…. and he loves you all so much……..

the (few) times yoshi has ever felt jealous, it was bc of what other people said

the first time it happened, you were waiting for them to perform at an award show, and they were about to go up

yoshi was getting the final touches on his hair while you walked around to chat with the boys

doyoung seemed especially hyped that day, so you stopped to catch up before your boyfriend was done

he admired you from afar when dobby said something funny

you slapped his shoulder, snorted, whatever

and yoshi didn’t think anything of it until jihoon showed up, lightly punching his arm

‘wow, you really don’t mind them?’, he whispered, stealing a look at you

‘what you mean?’, yoshi furrowed his brows

‘it’d be losing it if that was my partner, that’s all’, jihoon shrugged

now, jihoon REALLY didn’t mean to make yoshinori have a mini breakdown, he commented on it without thinking much (we know he can be pretty blunt)

but that one comment sent yoshi spiraling in doubt

should he not be okay with that interaction? did one of you mean something he wasn’t seeing? was there something more to it?

poor yoshi was completely out of it the whole time they were on stage

he could remember the choreo and lyrics, but his expressions were off and he felt icky and suddenly these clothes seemed so heavy and—

he could barely even look at you once they were done

my boy managed to convince himself you didn’t love him anymore on the like 15 minutes you were apart <cries>

jealous!yoshi gives you the cold shoulder without meaning to

he just felt overwhelmed with all these new thoughts and concerns and needed to get away for a bit :(

how to fix the situation: i know it’s counterintuitive but first, leave him alone. his mind is gonna keep twisting the situation into something it isn’t, but he’d be too emotional if you tried to talk to him right away

once it’s been a few hours—even a whole day—you should approach him and start from the start

upset or not, yoshi’s never been one to hide his feelings from you, so he’d be honest about it and tell you the whole story

it wasn’t hard to spot the problem so you’d have to talk to him about validating his own emotions before listening to someone else

it was quite a serious topic but once he got your point, things went back to normal pretty quickly

long story short, yoshi and jealousy aren’t a good mix, so you should be happy he’s the chill type

Junkyu

i wouldn’t say junkyu is necessarily a jealous person

he pretty much lives in his own world most of the time so i really don’t think he’s paying close attention to what your interactions with his members look like

but i do think he’s prone to feeling left out

so, teume all know junkyu was able to overcome numerous confidence issues through inner work and training right

and GOOD!! FOR!! HIM!!!

but especially if you don’t have a lot of common interests, junkyu can feel a bit… inadequate for you, at times

for example, say you’re a very outdoorsy person who likes exercising, camping, the works

just last week you found a new hiking trail that’s said to lead to a super nice view so you wanna go there

if you asked any of the boys to come along, jihoon would be the first to volunteer

…and junkyu, the last

it’s just not his thing; he’s a homebody, he doesn’t like being outside that much, he’d rather nap but if you wanna go :( and he feels like he HAS to go too

he needs to make this effort and try to put up a front that’s like ‘i can keep up with you at all times!! i’ll do whatever you wanna do!’

otherwise, if he just told you it didn’t sound like his thing, you’d eventually realize you and him don’t have anything in common

and he thinks you’d replace him with someone else

someone who’s more like you :/

of course that doesn’t happen! you’re not a monster

but it’s always his first thought in situations like that, and after some time, he might start to feel jealous over his members

jealous!junkyu is quieter than usual and a bit crabby when you try to interact

he doesn’t participate in group conversations, doesn’t pull out the aegyo...

he’s not mad at you—if anything, he’s mad at himself, cus the whole ‘they’re gonna leave me’ thing brings out a looooot of ugly emotions in him

but at the same time, he can’t help it, he acts out before he can think it through and when he realizes, it’s already done

how to fix the situation: dedicate some time to do things junkyu likes, when it’s just the two of you

i’m not saying you shouldn’t do things you’re interested in, but let him know you’re fine with doing things he enjoys as well!!

i’m telling you

say you’re ordering fried chicken so you can stay in and watch a nature documentary, and you’ll see his eyes GLOW

baby might need a bit of time and patience to understand that relationships are not usually about sharing hobbies and tastes

he feels better once you say it’s never about what you’re doing, but who you’re with

and as long as he’s near you, you’re happy

junkyu deserves the world i adore him

Mashiho

i’m honestly still a bit on the fence about where mashi stands on jealousy…

bc we know he’s a veeeeery sweet guy, and mostly laidback too

he just rolls with whatever’s happening, cracks a joke or two...

but we also know he’s an aries

i legit thought about this for like 4 days and i’ve come to the conclusion it’s pretty much 50/50 with him, hit or miss

some days he couldn’t care less if you and jaehyuk are wearing matching hoodies

but other days he’ll BARK if yedam breathes in your direction lmao

you know the way the boys said he’ll scold them if they mess up his room? (it’s the tmap ep they’re showing the dorms i think)

it’s pretty much like that

the main thing with him is that mashiho is quite possessive

he doesn’t like others messing with what’s his

(welp you’re not a thing but you’re his partner so whatever, in his mind it makes sense and i’m not about to fight him over it)

he enjoys being the sole focus of your attention, ok?

if lately you’ve been spending more time with someone else, mashiho would openly ask you to pay more attention to him

jae is so so so overjoyed you’re close with his members, seriously

for him that’s the best possible scenario

he loves getting everyone together, he loves seeing you have fun with the members, he loves that you have inside jokes ETC

and like yoshi, he just,,, doesn’t mind anything

hug junghwan, bite asahi, talk to junkyu about wearing matching outfits when y’all go out—

you won’t ever hear him complain about anything of the sort :)

there’s one little thing though that makes him kind of upset

and only upset, not even jealous jealous yk

it’s the members taking care of you

yoshi helping you put on your coat, mashi paying for your ticket when you all went to the ice skating rink but he was busy visiting his parents, jihoon tying your shoelaces…

his brain knows these can all be completly platonic acts and they’re normal, since you’re all friends

but also...

in jaehyuk’s head all of these are strictly HIS renponsability as your partner

like he’s pretty damn convinced his purpose in this lifetime (aside from his work duh) is to care for you

that’s how much he adores you

so when someone else cares for you, it can make him feel like he’s a bad boyfriend

against all odds, asahi might be one of the most jealous members

it’s something he’s felt often since the beginning of your relationship—actually, he felt it since he started crushing on you

but he never realized what it was until he (hesitantly) talked to you about it and you explained it to him

and he went

now, he is also the most introverted person in the group

(not hard to see)

so…. it’s easy to assume these 2 facts don’t go very well together

he mostly feels jealousy creep up on him at social functions

as much as he LOVES his members (and i mean it, he loves loves loves them), he’s just better at hanging out one-on-one

getting together as nearly 15 people can make him feel overwhelmed, and when that happens, he really can’t pay close attention to you

he can’t talk to you a lot, listen to what you’re saying…

you figure he needs some space, bc you don’t wanna overwhelm him even more right

so you go talk to the other boys

and he sees you telling haruto about something that happened to you earlier that week

and you’re smiling, he’s smiling—

it makes asahi get the most awful feeling in his stomach

like you’re better off far away from him

like he was the one stopping you from having fun then

he’s even quieter than usual the rest of the night, and he’ll continue like that until you both sit down and talk

how to fix the situation: aside from (obvs) explaining that you don’t mind at all that he’s not that talkative/social, don’t leave asahi’s side when you’re together with the boys, no matter what

i don’t mean you shouldn’t talk to his members, i mean you should LITERALLY drag asahi’s ass around with you at all times

hell, he wouldn’t blink if you got him one of those children backpacks that come with a leash

just take him with you PLEASE

hold his hand, link your arms together… place a reminder in the back of his mind that you haven’t left him

and you never will

your presence will help so much istg

playing with your fingers, the zipper of your jacket, it’s the little things that help him feel more comfortable

yedamie is not really a jealous guy in general

he’s very easy going so he operates on the same wavelength as yoshi and jae, aka, he couldn’t possibly be happier about your friendship with his members

fantasy AU headcanons, NCT 127

a/n: this was just a brain rot of how 127 would be in a medieval fantasy setting. i really went to town with the d&d classes, this was v v fun to write! i also wrote a nct dream version, which should come out soon enough

fyi: in my headcanons, nct as a whole is a guild under the leadership of kun and tyong <3 nct family <3

taeil as an apothecary: just a gentle, old soul that likes his plants and cute glass vials lol taeil is a very simple person in the sense that he’s not a fighter, and finds any mystic arts waaay too complicated, but botany came easy for him, so he rolled with it. he’s the king of folk medicine and actually has secret recipes for them not to taste like grass???? an absolute blessing to the kingdom. lives his best life in a small house with a cute, chubby cat and shelves upon shelves upon shelves full of old books. because he’s more of a herbs type of guy, he never felt too keen on training with actual doctors. anything more than cleaning and dressing a small wound is too stressful and he did NOT sign up for it—not that it matters a lot to johnny, he’ll just keep showing up absolutely beaten to a pulp either way :) got bored once, tried casting a spell with doyoung’s staff and trapped tyong into a giant ice cube <3

taeyong as a druid: everybody, say it with me: DRUID!!! BUBU!!! tyong’s been interested in nature since he was a little kid, so it was expected that he’d develop a natural ability to communicate with animals and plants alike! druids vary a lot in their practices and taeyong can do a bit of everything, but his lane is restorative magic and animal-morphing. he is not big on combat and will really only fight to protect others. safe to say, he’s the happiest when he can heal someone and spend lots of time outside, checking in on the family of rabbits that moved to a burrow just left of his house. speaking of it, he does have a house, but he mostly goes over for supply runs and cleaning, weekly. you can normally find him with the other members of the guild, making sure everyone is fine and all missions are running smoothly

johnny as a knight: people usually say he is what happens when a knight skips formalities training lmao so, johnny technically is a knight, because he went through the royal academy, but he got bored & dropped out of the guard after just a couple weeks. his shiny armor and longsword are pretty much where the resemblance to other knights stops. johnny is a MAJOR extrovert and has a taste for adrenaline, so he’s pretty much living his dream life with the guild: fighting bad people and evil creatures, earning a good amount of money and travelling around. doyoung normally has an eye on him because it’s like trouble follows him?? 127 can never have a peaceful mission bc they look away for one second and johnny accidentally awakens the local dragon that’d been asleep for the past 3 centuries. go figure

yuta as a rogue: to get this straight, yuta is a ROGUE, not a THIEF! sure, he’s stolen a couple things, but it was from rich people so was it really stealing hmm?? lol but it’s like he was born for this. he is stealthy, quick, strong, has a silver tongue & charming personality, so everything comes together to make the BEST ex-mercenary the kingdom’s ever seen. i said “ex” bc taeyong eventually convinced him to stop robin hood-ing his way through life and come work for the guild, both assisting in missions and gathering intel lmao yuta loves two things the most: winmark (duh) and his daggers. he doesn’t let ANYONE but his most trusted blacksmith near them (and 100% whooped haechan’s ass when he hid them away on april fools) anyway he also looks really good in all-black attire and just keeps spending his money on shit like skull-shaped whiskey glasses

doyoung as a mage: he has a big brain and he’s not letting it go to waste. as a combat mage, doyoung is an expert at offensive spells. because he doesn’t wear heavy armour and lacks other forms of defence, his #1 priority is ending the fight as soon as it begins—and god does he look cool while doing it (screeches) he uses ice magic the most bc it’s easier to control than fire + his blue robes go so well with his skin??? he’s always carrying around at least 8 scrolls just in case they come in handy. they never do. honestly has no patience for any of the warriors in the guild lmao these fighter types tend to charge into battle with NO PLANS whatsoever and it drives him up the wall. def a master strategist with very low social skills. needs tyong around or he’d actually succeed in turning johnny into a snowman

jaehyun as a knight: a knight who actually behaves like one <3 went through the academy a lil bit later than johnny but he’d hear the stories and lowkey be like “good for him”, for getting away from all the work and pressure that comes with the royal guard. he’s just recently left, and he plans on studying to become an instructor! while that doesn’t happen, he’s your local shield dude. since he’s all big and strong but less stabby-stabby than johnny, he’s usually on the frontlines to cover for the long-distance fighters and the healers. needless to say, he does an amazing job. he’s not the most talkative of the guild, but he knows just how to rile up an enemy so they keep their eyes on him lol jae ALWAYS needs to have his armour and equip repaired, and it’s mostly not even from combat?? he just knocks into things enough while walking that everything dents (rip his knee guards)

jungwoo as a priest: the kid taeyong adopted so he wouldn’t be the only sane one in the guild. much to his disappointment, jungwoo’s the least sane priest you’ll ever see lmao he does obey his order’s customs and practices but he’s also so excited to try new things?? like yeah these old ass methods of healing and light magic work just fine but what if i made a holy water cocktail (“then it wouldn’t be holy anymore”) ANYWAY he loves being a priest cus it’s all about following the light and being light, and he takes it very seriously. he’s become a core member of the guild as their best healer but doubles as their diplomat bc he’s just so lovely and kind :) he’s also vital to all missions with doyoung bc when he inevitably gets pissed off at yuta or johnny, he needs hugs. jungwoo’s hugs. not tyong’s bc he calls him a furry lmao

mark as a ranger: no one actually knows how he came to be such a good ranger since he shoots with his eyes closed??? he probably has a 6th (or 7th) sense that allows him to ~feel~ his target or whatever lol while that part about him is a bit of a mystery, mark is easily the best tracker of the guild, and he worked VERY hard to develop his abilities. he’s also remarkably knowledgeable about survival skills, but they still need to be tested since he picked it all up from conversations with other hunters. i’m not gonna pretend this was mark’s calling and he was born for it, tho. he mainly chose this path bc magic is intimidating for him and he’s too panicky for close-range combat, and now he’s just glad it worked out for the best lmao bonus: his hunting partner is a snow leopard he found injured as a kitty and nursed back to health along with jungwoo <3

haechan as a sorcerer: the main difference between a sorcerer and a mage is their relationship with magic. mages studied for years to be able to cast their first spell, but sorcerers were born with it. even though pure arcane energy runs through hyuck’s veins, he wouldn’t have been so inclined to hear its’ call if it didn’t choose to manifest so,,, randomly. he’s set a few people on fire before (including jeno) and needless to say, it wasn’t the most fun experience. now that he’s gaining control of his abilities, tho, he’s possibly the person you should fear the most in the guild lol he knows 0 defence spells but his storm magic is so?? good???? loves striking his enemies with lightning, and sometimes, when you touch him, you’ll feel electricity run through you too hihi

final thoughts:

-hmmm this is about haechan. i did notice that the way i wrote it, it feels like he’s kind of op?? but he isn’t, and i couldn’t get too into it before to keep it brief. while sorcerers ARE naturals, that’s their drawback too. they know what they were born knowing, and they can’t learn types of magic they’re not compatible with. so in general they might be stronger in combat but way less versatile <3

-taeil keeps haechan close during the drier months of the year so he can make it rain over his garden lmao

-jungwoo enjoys performing exorcisms a lot, surprisingly???

-most of mark’s birthday presents since he joined the guild are new bows bc he just keeps breaking the ones he owned

-johnny’s armor are lined with gold while jaehyun’s have silver

-taeyong’s favourite animal to morph into are snowy owls

-mages tend to have a taste for history and that shows up VERY clearly in doyoung, he’s always the first to volunteer for a mission located near ruins or castles

-taeil smells like mint and rosemary change my mind

-yuta’s contacts outside the guild see him as this super cool, skilled rogue but everyone in 127 knows how soft he is. he likes taking walks with tyong, bc animals naturally flock around him and then he gets to pet them, btw

-johnny has almost been arrested a good amount of times, and the only thing that got him out was jaehyun coming over to charm the guards (my man johnson was thanking every deity out there for his superiors remembering jae fondly)

-once haechan convinced taeyong to morph into a lion and walk around with him as his “pet” just to make mark think he could somehow tame wild animals. it worked and mark was like 48% more terrified of haechan for a week, until tyong couldn’t handle the guilt and spilled the beans
