Drop your bi book recs in the comments!
I have far more books on my shelves with bi MCs or love interests than I thought. For some, it's a main plot point (romamce), and for others, it's just part of the character.
Surprisingly, the books I do have mostly make up the bi flag colors.
Books featured are: • Heartstopper vol 1 by Alice Oseman • Red White and Royal Blue/One Last Stop/I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston • The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer • The Fever King by Victoria Lee • Icebreaker by A.L. Graziadei • Kiss Her Once for Me by Alison Cochrun • An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green • Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft • The Raven Boys (i.e. The Raven Cycle) by Maggie Stiefvater • A Rogue of One's Own by Evie Dunmore • A Restless Truth by Freya Marske • Dark Rise by C.S. Pacat • You're a Mean One, Matthew Prince by Timothy Janovsky • not pictured (because I completely forgot) are A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab; Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert; and Nothing Burns as Bright as You by Ashley Woodfolk
Featured is the 'Bi and Valid' magnet inspired by Full Disclosure by Camryn Garrett from the December Rainbow Crate box.

Hades 2 theory on Zagreus
Here’s my theory on what Zagreus would be doing if Supergiant is going to have Zagreus in Hades 2 (come on, he has to be in there. The main character is his little sister! Think of the chaotic sibling energy they could have!)
By the scenes shown, Hades has definitely been captured and locked up somewhere (by Chronos, most likely) So, I think there are two possible scenarios of what Zagreus is going to be in Hades 2.
1. Zagreus might have to stand in for Hades to run the underworld while his father is gone. He has to keep the underworld going because Persephone might not be down there at the time of when the game starts. So Zagreus is trying his best to keep the underworld from completely collapsing as both his mom and father aren’t there. And somebody has to do the paperwork and organize all of those shades. (so basically he’s stuck at the humongous desk, drowning in all of the paperwork)
or
2. Zagreus could be seen when the player (Melinoe) is traveling through the underworld. (he’ll basically be like Thanatos) You’ll just encounter him in one chamber of the game and the player and him can go have a nice competition of “which sibling can kill the most opponents”. And the winner gets gloating rights. (and also Zagreus could give the player extra health or some kind status boost if the player wins) And the reason he’s like this is because he’s also looking for Hades during this time. (mainly because the underworld needs its ruler to keep it in shape and Zagreus doesn’t want to be it) So that’s why the player would see him at just random points in the game.
What do you all think?

I relate so much to Mike 'I refuse to acknowledge my feelings' 'what do you mean I have emotions' 'I know I'm having a feeling right now, but I do not have the emotional range to figure out which one it is, so into the bottle of repression it goes' 'i can be mean to my friends but if you're mean to my friends be prepared to die' Wheeler.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I really like fics where Mike is a little shit (affectionately) even with Will....
Because yes Mike is sweet and kind and all that good stuff with Will but also the only person who really gets on his nerves, they've been friends for almost a decade, they fight and hurt each other inententionally, they don't walk on eggshells around each other. Mike doesn't treat Will like a baby (unlike the others) and sees him as an equal.
Mike knows Will can handle things, he trusts Will that's why he supported him with being a spy and said Will would know what to do, when he was basically glued to Will in season 2 it was because he wanted to be there with him to support him.
The same Mike who was lowkey upset with Will because he didn't tell him Max was coming to trick or treat and walked away kinda pissed at Will is the same one who minutes later panicked because he couldn't find him.
Mike is sweet, kind, mean, brave, annoying as hell and many other things. And it all makes him so human.

It took me entirely too long to figure out Judy Sandman Diner was Daisy Head, and I’m mad about it. I’m slipping.
Anyway, she did an excellent job, that was maybe the only way to make Judy nuanced and likeable.

Do you read sci-fi? If so, drop your favorites in the comments.
The Darkness Outside Us has been on my tbr since it came out, but I only recently found a copy at my local Half Price Books. I always make a point to check back semi-regularly for any books that are high on my tbr. (Especially when it comes to manga.) I've heard nothing but great things about this one and have been told that the synopsis and marketing don't do TDOU justice. So I'm excited for that!
As for the last sci-fi I read, that would be Winter's Orbit (last June). I guess I've been on a major romance kick and have pushed sci-fi to the way back burner. That needs to change as it's one of my favorite genres.
Shown here are the bisexual shelf coasters from the December Rainbow Crate box.

Review: Arden Grey by Ray Stoeve Rating: 5/5
I didn't know it 'til I was reading this book but I've been looking for a YA novel that tackles emotionally abusive relationships. About abusive parents, and especially about abusive mothers. And Ray Stoeve has written about it with as much care and sensitivity as I could have hoped.
Arden is a fragile shell of a girl in this novel and it's so emotional reading about her and her family struggling to adjust to life when her mother leaves them for a new life in San Francisco. But it doesn't take long to figure out that they're better off without her, even though Arden, her brother Garrett, and their father all have trouble adjusting to their new lives. But their sense of family is strong and beautiful and it utterly warmed my heart.
I loved the subplot with Arden's best friend, Jamie, too. I've read a lot of stories where teenagers ditch their friends or get ditched by their friends when someone finds their first romance but I've never read one that ended like Jamie's does. And it's heartbreaking, but it's such an important story to tell for a YA audience because it's something that happens at a tragically common rate.
And Stoeve also handled Arden's coming out as an asexual lesbian beautifully. They captured the confusion and the hesitancy so deftly and balanced it incredibly well with the depression Arden was experiencing that clouded her ability to puzzle out her feelings. Vanessa, Arden's love interest, was wonderfully supportive and it was also lovely to see an asexual boy with their friend, Marc. More asexual boys in fiction, please!
A poignant, sensitive novel that has cemented Ray Stoeve as a favourite and should definitely be on the radar of every YA contemporary fan.
Warnings: emotional abuse, depression, alcohol misuse, acephobia (challenged) and references to self-harm and suicide.

I’m over halfway through scenes from a marriage and it actually has me so heartbroken I don’t even have the words. oscar and jessica are so unbelievably incredible like it’s just so insane how real it feels, I literally feel like I’m intruding on such intimate and private moments that I shouldn’t be it’s just so raw and emotional.
