There is the more recent moment, though, where Steve didn't like being called "sir" and told Bucky so

And I know for sure that somewhere in the bowels of my archive there's a prompt where somebody asked something similar and I wrote a thing where Steve uses his safe word

If I'm not mistaken there might be one where Bucky does, too, but I might be confusing it with an idea that I had that never got written

oh wait, no. I might be thinking of the one where Bucky experiences Dom drop.

Anyways, I can't remember enough about the safewording prompt to readily put my hands on the link because it was probably four-ish years ago, but I'll do some digging to see if I can find it for you :)

Jaskier stood inside the upstairs hallway of the inn he and Geralt were to be staying at that evening.

If Geralt was willing to share a room with him, that was.

Taking a deep breath, Jaskier turned the handle and pushed the door to his and Geralt’s room in. Geralt stood stock still on the other side of the room, still in his armor, staring out of the window.

“Geralt?” Jaskier asked softly, closing the door behind him but moving no further in the room.

“Hmmm.”

“I’m sorry I yelled at you.” And Jaskier was truly sorry he’d yelled at Geralt. They’d been travelling all day and Jaskier was having trouble with a new verse, focusing more on writing than eating, and he’s just snapped.

Argh sometimes I hate you! He hadn’t meant the words, but he’d said them, none the less.

“It doesn’t matter, Jaskier.” Geralt responded tersely, not removing his gaze from the window.

“It does!”

Geralt hummed and turned away from the window, finally turning from the window and meeting Jaskier’s gaze, “I’ve had worse.”

Jaskier placed his hands on his hips, instantly fired up at the idea of Geralt being mistreated, “You shouldn’t have!” Jaskier was emphatic with his movements, waving his arms around as he continued ranting, “You deserve better than the way people treat you, Geralt! I want to give you better!”

“Jaskier, it’s fine.”

“No! I was an ass. I was being fussy, and I hadn’t eaten enough when we stopped and then I just snapped on you. You didn’t deserve that and I’m sorry, Geralt. It wasn’t fair to you.”

Geralt walked over to the bed and sat at its edge, his mask of indifference finally slipping.

“Geralt?” Jaskier asked again softly, walking to the bed and taking a seat next to Geralt, close but not quite touching. Geralt shook his head, not looking at Jaskier.

“Geralt, I wasn’t truly mad at you. I just… let my emotions get the best of me. You know I don’t hate you, don’t you?”

“It’s okay, Jaskier. You can be honest.”

The earnest look on Geralt’s face floored Jaskier more than the words themselves. He loved the witcher with every inch if his being but how could he make Geralt believe it? Especially after his cruel words.

“I am being honest, Geralt. I don’t hate you, I don’t think I ever could.”

“Jask-”

“No!” Jaskier cut Geralt off, “You are my best friend and I love you! I couldn’t hate you if I tried. Can you believe me?” Jaskier implored. He’d do anything to make the witcher understand he was loved.

“Maybe. One day, maybe.” Geralt responded uncertainly, looking away from Jaskier.

Jaskier sat a hand on the witcher’s shoulder, squeezing it gently, “Well then, I’ll keep saying it until that day comes.”

He had been starting to believe again, though... ever since Phryne had blown into his life like a stiff breeze made of even stiffer whiskey and cleared away some of the cobwebs of cynicism that had been tangled around him for so long.

She'd driven him half-mad in the process, of course, with her trousers and her fast cars and her long chances and how damn much she cared, but leading him down a better path than the one he'd seemed destined for, before she arrived.

And now she was laid up with a bullet wound, with a bullet that had been intended for him.

"Just... just live," he murmured, his voice husky with tears. He clasped her fingers in his big hands and bowed his head over them, as though in prayer. "Or die, if you absolutely must, just... just pick one, Phryne. Pick one, but-but don't leave me. Be with me always—take any form—keep right on driving me mad. Only... only don't... don't leave me in this abyss of not knowing. Don't go where I can't find you."

He fell asleep that way, with his head on the edge of her narrow iron bed and her hand in his, and the doctors didn't have the heart to make him leave.

63 “Cross my heart and hope to die.”

98 “Take a deep breath.”

“You have to promise me you’ll never do this again. You hear me?” Stiles pleads and orders at the same time, both of his palms pressed over what was a gaping wound in Peter’s chest a few minutes ago.

Their opponent, a striga, laid dead a few feet away from them, pierced through both her hearts with steel rods Stiles sent flying at her after Peter almost got himself killed. 

“Cross my heart and hope to--” Peter says grinning at Stiles with teeth that are still a bit bloody, but he doesn’t get to finish the sentence. Stiles interrupts him by pointedly pressing down on Peter’s mostly closed up wound.

“Don’t you even dare.”

“Sorry, baby boy.” Peter actually looks a bit abashed as he apologizes and Stiles finally lets himself let go of some of the tension and worry. 

The worst is over, Peter will make it and will continue to be an absolute pain in Stiles’ ass for a while longer. Or at least until he’d throw himself between Stiles and sharp objects again.

“Just… take a deep breath,” Stiles asks quietly, feeling absolutely drained, “it should feel better now.”

Peter does as asked for once, obligingly breathing in and exhaling carefully. He also wraps his fingers around Stiles’ wrist, holding Stiles’ hands in place.

“It does, thank you,” Peter tells him. He looks like he’s telling the truth, too, the color having returned to his face, the wet wheezing sound completely gone, too. “You can stop, you know. I’m fine now.”

Stiles doesn’t make the magic flowing into Peter doesn’t just cut off, but has it ebb away slowly instead careful to see if Peter’s healing will take over, now that Stiles’ magic got Peter’s lungs all patched up. 

Stiles slumps over Peter, pressing their foreheads together. He lets his eyes fall closed and just focuses on the points of contact between them, on how warm Peter is again, how his chest rises and falls under Stiles’ hands.

“If you ever do this to me again I will get a cat from Deaton and have it piss in every single pair of your shoes,” Stiles threatens.

Peter laughs at that and that’s all Stiles really needs.
