Now her first thought in battle when seeing you is to be a distraction, (aware she does that anyways.) so while they focus on her you can take them down with ease.

“My knight in shining armour!” “I’m not in armour?” “Ay, Cabeza de chorlito, let me have this!”

↑ That's from her purposely putting herself in danger, just so you would have to save her. Willing to ruin the whole mission just to see you put some overwatch agents in their place.

On the intercoms there are very few times it’s used. Sombra makes up 90% of that, it’s just cheering you on. Watching from every angle to inform everyone of what's happening, how you beat the person.

If it’s possible she will beg you (most times she doesn’t even ask.) to let her ride on your back or in your arms. Either around the base or even into battles.

Everyone is aware she could easily just teleport around and snatch the much needed items. But from now on she will have you run through everyone, following the path of knocked out people and omnics, to finally gather the item. (All too see your muscles and strength.)

Will either find someone (willingly or not) to rebuild some omnics built closer to your strength. (Of course it doesn’t stand close to you.) In battle she will hack any opponent, wanting to see you fight as many people as possible.

You don’t even need to ask for her to do the following: Track down anyone you’d like for any reason, (likely to fight) she doesn’t care if they are an enemy or ally of Talon. If you want someone or something found you’ll have it.

“Come here guapo~”

Her affection rate will double. At any possible chance she will be on you, hanging onto your back, in your arms, sitting in your lap during meetings. Almost nothing is stopping this girl from getting your attention.

Even if it’s not her favourite task she’ll deal with it for you. Any injuries gained from your reckless fighting she will try to help, (Has started buying custom bandages for you.) doting on any visible injuries

In short she is one of the many people that will enable your behaviour and activity, and will not shut you down.

It’s not often (never) that Ashe will ever risk herself as a distraction. Even if she knows you’ll save her, she can’t help but make a comment. “Need to work on your timing there pumpkin.”

If you allow her to ride on your back into battle, she does this with B.O.B every once in a while, but with you around? Almost all of the damn time.

You can run around but never out of her sight. But if you ever do she’s sending B.O.B after you to either catch and bring you back or to keep you company.

Speaking of, you aren’t going very far alone. If she can’t go you ain’t leaving without B.O.B nearby.

“Don’t you dare go running off now.” “And who gon’ stop me?” “Fine by me then, don’t come back crying when you lose an arm.”

If you do return injured she is the only one to care for you, (B.O.B) is sometimes an exception.

While she does respect omnics, closely the ones she works with. Even she knows that enemies are enemies, so while you’re out and about, bring her some scraps to upgrade her weapons and even B.O.B and other omnic members.

Hello how have you been, I hope well after a while since I requested and while reading some of the publications I turned on the focus.

An s / o that always carries a large backpack but have never seen what is inside (either out of respect or because it is well secured) and in a complicated situation his s / o says "I got this" and the backpack will be to show a puppet (either animal or humanoid) and when they fix their hands in their pockets they move, it is not remote techonologia are threads (basically a s / o with puppets of the naruto :V).

As for the fandom probably overwatch shimadas, junkers, maximilian, ramattra and Winston (platonic clearly, seriously I need to see more of changis bro, not as a couple but platonic at least not?)

As the last request I will leave some images for reference (extra points if one of your puppets is from your partner or friend in the case of Winston) as always do not forget to take care of your mental and physical health

Hanzo

Honestly he's kinda creeped out by puppets in general

So when you first pull out your puppet he's a little confused and maybe just slightly concerned

But once you two get out of the dangerous situation he asks a couple questions

Just the usual "where did it come from?" "How does it work?" Questions

He's a little creeped out by also a little impressed by it

Genji

He was always nosy about your backpack but didn't want to pry into your life too much so he let it be

And when you two were stuck and you pulled out your puppet, Genji was so confused

When he gets a proper look at your puppet, he'll start asking so many questions as he looks at it in awe

He thinks you're even cooler now

Kiriko

She never really wondered what was in your backpack since she assumed it was personal

But her jaw dropped when you first revealed your puppet

She was so confused but also so impressed

After you two are safe, she'll observe the puppet and comment on all the details and ask a bunch of questions

Junkrat

You know this man was so nosy about what was in your backpack

But he could never get it open for some reason so he pouted about it

All until one day when you finally opened it when you and Jamie were in a tough spot and revealed your puppet

And he was so confused cause what are you gonna do with a puppet? Oh... oh that's what you do

He's a little intimidated but also very much intrigued

Roadhog

He tried to stay respectful and stay out of your bag but he also really wanted to know what was in it

When you finally revealed your puppet he was immediately interested

He doesn't ask a lot of questions but prefers to observe the puppet himself if you'll let him

He's very impressed with your secret weapon

Junker Queen

Also another very nosy one. She's not used to people keeping things from her so she'll definitely try and figure out what it is

When you finally reveal your puppet she takes a moment to celebrate the discovery before actually processing what was in the bag

Then comes the barrage of questions about your puppet so prepare yourself

Maximilian

He's so paranoid about your safety that he was the one who gave you the puppet

He told you it was a defense mechanism for you in case you were ever in danger

The first time he saw you use it he was do thankful it worked

Now that you have that, he's more relaxed since he knows that you have something to protect yourself with

Ramattra

He wanted to be nosy and look in your bag but also didn't want to make you mad so he resisted

When you first used your puppet in front of him, his attention was transfixed on said puppet

He tries not to seem too impressed but it doesn't work he's clearly very impressed

He'll ask a couple of questions, but from the way he observes the puppet, it's clear he wants to know everything

Winston (platonic)

He's a very polite friend so he never asked what was in your backpack but that doesn't mean he wasn't curious about it

When you first used your puppet he was a little shocked by the... violence

But he quickly recovered don't worry

Please let him observe your puppet because he's got so many questions he wants to ask

As depressing as the 2 Ramattra + Zenyatta spawn room interactions are, for me, 2 outta the 3 Ramattra + Echo interactions take the cake. Both are just... insane.

Echo: You... are an R-7000 unit. The one humans call... umm... Ramattra: Ravagers, yes. Squad killers, and... ruder things. Echo: Does it trouble you? Being so feared and hated? Ramattra: Once. Now, it gives me a warm little feeling inside.

... A few things:

(Putting a read more cuz the post got a bit long)

Being judged for being the model of omnic his soul just happens to occupy bothered him.

He likes it now. Which, good for him, but imagine liking being hated, especially when it used to bother you. Just how far gone you have to be for that?

... Does he truly like it now, or is he pulling an excuse out of his ass? Because the sheer strain in his voice when he finishes Echo's sentence kind of suggests otherwise.

Wait a minute... Does... does he hate his body??? That could explain why he's having a hard time talking about his model, yet is perfectly content with humans hating and fearing him, as that could be tied to his personal choices (standing up for the survival of his species, Null Sector, all that jazz), not something he can't control (his model, which is something he didn't choose and can't change)...

The other interaction doesn't get any better.

Ramattra: It's a shame none us have ever met Aurora, your predecessor. Echo: I hear that often. *throat clearing noise* What would you have asked her? Ramattra: The same thing I ask her every day. I wish she could answer.

The "asking every day" is potentially metaphorical, not pin-point accurate, which... honestly doesn't matter. He asks often enough to use such wording. That naturally begs the question, what is he asking?

When I first heard this interaction all the way back, I knew whatever he's asking has to be some rough shit, just based on the sheer nature of his character, and the fact Aurora is lowkey a God (weeell not entirely, according to Symmetra's short story, but whatever, close enough). But, it's hard to pinpoint what exactly he could be asking. Bro has a lot on his plate, and, at the time, there wasn't much evidence.

There certainly still isn't anything concrete to figure it out... but... since then, we have received this.

Sooooo just on the fact of where this information comes from, it isn't anything too solid. It's from the PVE missions menu. Which is told strictly from the perspective of the Overwatch-the-in-universe-organization's members. They don't know what the audience does. They don't even know who's in charge of Null Sector beyond Genji's educated guess.

That means this entry existing in OW's archives is from Genji, who is the only one on the squad who has any idea who Ramattra is. Aaand, based on Zen's flashback in the PVE missions, Genji has never even met Ramattra. So what Genji knows about the guy comes strictly from Zenyatta (maaaybe Mondatta), either by Zen being observant enough to notice, or Ramattra straight up told him.

Aaaand Ram and Zen haven't seen each other in decades. Obviously, Ramattra has changed a lot since his Shambali days. So OW's archive might not be exactly up to date.

But, it is the best piece of information we have. And Jesus Christ, it hurts a lot by itself, but in the context of Echo's interaction, it's even worse.

Summary: after getting seriously injured on a mission with Overwatch, your girlfriend can only watch helplessly from the sidelines as Angela desperately tries to save your life

Kiriko stares ahead unblinking, eyes unfocused and head dizzy. She’s in complete disbelief, she doesn’t understand how this could have ever happened. As soon as your head hit the hard ground, it’s like the whole world stopped spinning. Even now, as Angela and Genji are running to your side, the world seems to have stilled.

She’d been healing you the whole time. She could have sworn everything was okay. You’re a good fighter, you’ve always been a good fighter, so what happened? Why didn’t you block or dodge or run away? Why did you let that omnic shove his spear through your chest?

She shakes her head. You didn’t let it happen. You were caught off guard, that’s all. But you’ll be fine, right? You’ve always been fine. You have to be fine. She can feel tears pricking at her eyes, her chest begging for air. It’s only now that she realizes that she hasn’t taken a breath since she first heard your choked scream.

She blinks, letting the tears slip silently down her cheeks. Genji is cradling your head, holding you up so that Angela can work on you. She’s going to heal you, and you’re going to be fine. You are going to be fine.

It’s only when Genji reluctantly steps aside and Angela’s wings expand in a burst of golden light that Kiriko registers what’s going on. With a lift of her gloved hand, the golden light consumes your body.

The light is so bright that Kiriko has to look away. When she looks back, you’re on your feet again. There’s colour in your skin, and your chest rises and falls with every breath. You’re alive.

You blink a few times, looking at Angela curiously. “I-I thought I died?”

“Welcome back, y/n,” she pats your shoulder gently.

It’s a strange feeling. One minute there was a spear in your chest, and you could feel the heat fading from your body. The next, you’re awake and on your feet. You feel warm again, and energy courses through your veins.

Kiriko doesn’t even realize what’s happening before she’s taking off towards you, feet pounding against the ground. She’s running faster than she’s ever run before in her life, getting to you as fast as she can.

She throws her arms around you in an instant, enveloping you in her warmth. She’s squeezing you tightly, scared that if she doesn’t hold you tight enough, you’ll slip away.

You melt into her arms, head still reeling. You vaguely understand what happened, but at the same time, your brain is all foggy.

Kiriko pulls away, still sobbing. “I’m s-so glad you’re okay!”

“I’m okay,” you reassure her.

She presses a rough, long kiss to your lips, tangling her hand in your hair. She tugs you closer to her, not caring about air because you’re alive. Fuck air and water and everything when you’re here. When the love of her life is still alive.

She pulls away gasping for air, your cheeks coated in her tears. She wipes them away gently, wiping the moisture onto her pants.

Angela interrupts awkwardly, reminding the two of you that you need to get back to the jet so that you can return to base.

Even when you’re in the back of the plane, Kiriko doesn’t let you go. Her arms are around your waist and her head is nuzzled into your shoulder. You wrap an arm around her waist too, which proves difficult for Angela who’s trying to check you out.

“The resurrection process isn’t perfect,” she warns. “You’ll have a temporary burst of energy, but your body will be exhausted afterwards. You’ll probably need to sleep for a few days.”

You nod, too distracted by your girlfriend cuddling into your side.

“I’ll need you to come see me for testing at least twice a day, okay? Just to make sure.”

Once again you nod. “Thank you, Angela.”

With that, she grants you a rare smile and settles back into her spot next to Genji. You reach up and rub Kiriko’s hair, planting a kiss onto her forehead.

Kiriko can’t help but grin. You’re okay, you’re alive. You’re here, in her arms, and everything is okay. With that reassurance, she manages to slip into a peaceful sleep.

You glance at your sleepy girlfriend, thanking all the Gods that you get to stay with her for at least one more day.

Shimada Genji Relationship Headcanons

Cus who dOESN’T want to have a green cyborg ninja as a friend/lover?? Note that this is referring to genji as he is post-overwatch recall.

I swear with him as he is, you cannot ever get a poor first impression with him (unless you are racist against omnics then well rip to you cus YOU MISSING OUT BRUH).

He looks so cool with his appearance when you first see him, with sleek metal armor and green highlights, and is incredibly friendly and polite when you greet him.

Zenyatta’s teachings have given Genji a reason to have a deep introspection with himself, and make sense of his identity. Thanks to this, he is able to accept himself as it is, process his emotions in a more healthy manner and be at peace with what he has done and what has been done to him. As a result, he is rather chill and easy-going.

He’s also very open-minded and accepting on what you guys want to do whenever you spend quality time together. Wanna ramble about some cool interest you got? He’s attentive listener. Not feeling up for talking but still want some company? Thats fine, he’s ok with meditating/reading/playing games on his own while you do your own thing in the same room. Wanna do a prank and dye mccree’s entire wardrobe bright pink? Oh hell yea, he’s already getting his hands on some pink dye online that’s going to come in few days time.

Yes, Genji is also game to do anything silly or outrageous for fun(so long as it isn’t too dangerous of course cus he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt). He may have mellowed down a lot since young but that doesn’t mean he has lost that mischievous streak within him. After all, once a lil shit, always a lil shit. :^)

Being a lil shit, while can be entertaining and harmless fun at times, might end up causing some issues. While Genji is a bit more calm compared to his younger self, he is still impulsive. He is a person more focused on feelings than logic after all. As such, there will be times where he spontaneously acts in a way that he regrets later. Thankfully he will be apologetic and do his best to make up for whoever he has hurt unintentionally.

For being in a ROMANTIC relationship with Genji, ho ho ho.

He has experience of being in several romantic relationships for sure, from previous trysts during his younger years. I like to think he has been with men and women, so he definitely knows how to treat his partners good regardless of gender. Definitely used that time of his to explore his sexuality.

So sweet and attentive?? Like bruh he has experience and will use that to make you feel loved as much as possible. Not shy in giving u compliments (and he def likes seeing u flustered he is cheeky that way). Small gifts from his travels that showcase his thoughtfulness. And the teachings from Zenyatta just upgraded him to incredibly respectful and polite person. Perfect boyfriend holy sheez what else can u ask for.

Complete and utter show-off. Like cmon you cannot tell he is completely humble looking at the cinematics. Disappearing into a flurry of smoke and leaves a sparrow’s feather for Hanzo at the end?? Comes in at the EXACT fucking time the new overwatch team needed help with that giant omnic? Boy is a dramatic lil shit, that’s for sure. So is his older bro. I’m convinced it’s in the Shimada genes.

Summary: Genji is trying to make Hanzo make new friends after got into Overwatch. Both were sitting at the garden of a big house in a mountain that Overwatch stays on the weekends when there's no mission.

Alrigty then, honestly at this rate your going to make me run out of headcannons-

So because of that I think I'm going to use your ask to talk about I theory about Hana I really like!

I really like the theory that D.VA is trans, for those who don't know this theory started after the Story Missions dropped. In D.VA's data logs their is a sentence saying "There are confirmed reports that D.VA is [ENCRYPTED]". Now usually this wouldn't cause such a big theory, but, this took place after some information leaked about the Overwatch writers and Dev team considering either adding or confirming a trans hero. Which have lead to people speculating that the [ENCRYPTED] part of the sentence is referring to her being trans.

There are two big reasons I like this theory, one, it isn't a character people typically say is trans, it's usually characters like JQ or Zarya. So Hana being trans is both refreshing and pretty surprising. Two, it would piss off toxic gamer bro's and transphobes. D.Va, despite the amount of depth she actually has, was very obviously made to pander to the gamer bro crowd, so not only would you that be a punch to the face for toxic gamer bros...

But it would be the third time it's happened-

Because yes, this has happened twice before, with Tracer being confirmed to a lesbian and Soldier being confirmed to be gay. Homophobic gamer bros were livid and desperate when that shit happened, especially when it was with Tracer. So that happening again would make my day-

She has called Sojourn mum on accident at the very least once.

She never sits on a chair properly, at most she'll at the very least one foot on the ground.

She doesn't like romance games and actively avoids playing them unless her fans a heavily requesting she plays it. The reason she doesn't like them is because she finds the bland and repetitive.

She has always wanted to play Role Heroes (DnD) but never really had the time until she joined Overwatch, she then made a half elf Artificer, she played her first game with Kiriko, Brigette and Lucio.

what games would they play? (imo)

01 Namjoon

he wouldn't play, he'd read. read whatever book he can find. or even buy a kindle, read on there. get on his phone, go to ao3 and read on there. his beliefs are that if you play games all day, you'll get addicted, and addiction is unhealthy. whatevs namjoon (ily)

02 Seokjin

HE WOULD PLAY. bro's a valorant player if i eva seen one. he's probably a skye main. he already has so many skins and uses his millions to buy more characters. he uses voicechat and screams at teammates who made mistakes like "what the FUCK are you doing?!" he probably also plays with his feet on the chair.

03 Yoongi

he would probably be playing valo with jin. he's a deadlock, iso, and sage main. he doesn't use voicechat, but he likes listening to jin yell at people. he has the video game gun skins on, and he's always the spike planter. he comes up with mastermind plans and tells jin to explain it to the team, which they later on fuck it up and yoongi internally screams. yoongi also plays overwatch with jungkook. he lets jungkook carry him everywhere, and jungkook never realizes he's doin all the work.

04 Hoseok

roblox. hobi spends his time escaping bakeries, restaurants, prisons, and grandma's house. he has wings on his avatar, and a glimmering smile face. he has the bubbly animation on, and he also plays hello kitty cafe. he's got the keroppi theme on right now. he also plays cookie run kingdom. he cooes at his little cookie fighting the evil cupcakes and cakes. he listens to the other members voices and laughs. (god hobi is so cute)

05 Jimin

he'd play valorant too! HE'S DEFINITELY A REYNA MAIN. he types in chat things like "FUCU" or "ggs" to all but in team he's just screaming at the teammates ("WHAT R U DOING"). he also plays roblox. his username is j1mn_cut13 and he has a slender × preppy avatar. he has a mega neon fly ride unicorn for trade and looking for a mega neon ride axolotl in adopt me, he's on ragdoll checking out the other people's avatars, and he plays tower of hell. he almost screams every time he falls, but instead he just gets up from his chair and walks for a bit, and sits down.

06 Taehyung

he plays solitaire. /j taehyung plays overwatch with jungkook and is a baby valorant player. he lets yoongi, jin, and jimin carry him in valo and sometimes yoongi lets him use sage. all he knows how to do rn is shoot and heal, and whenever he gets a kill, the members all scream with excitement (jimin and jin scream w their mic on and yoongi dies from the insane volume). he also plays cookie run with hobi and always gets mad whenever hobi's team defeats his in a friendly battle. his main cookie is frost queen.

07 Jungkook

jungkook spends hours in front of the computer playing overwatch. he only plays overwatch cause he thinks valorant is too easy. (the first time he tried valorant he got 5th place so he never played again) he also plays roblox. only arsenal and counter blox though. he's been convinced to play blox fruits but he really only does it sometimes cause he finds it quite boring.

Awh thank you, nothing against you I just would not recommend playing with me because I do some of the weirdest “YouTuber” clip moments on voice call with my friends and I can’t imagine what’d be like with people I barely play with 😭 (also I’m BAD at the game I’m hard-stuck in plat right now NFNDNSNF) Like apparently my first time playing Overwatch I would scream whenever I ulted as Winston (I have no recollection of this but my friends do) and idk how I didn’t get in trouble for it by my parents LMAO. Maybe if I host a stream I’d be more comfortable with playing with others online but we’ll see!

AND YESSS I see Mondatta and Bob to go on a fun little movie date together, it’d be cute to see Bob kind of be “Oh this western is a lil silly :-(“ but Mondatta would be absolutely enthralled with it lol.

Summary: Being a grad-school student with Connie and Jean as best friends is a lot of fun, but you find yourself in a precarious situation one night after Connie's friends Annie and Mikasa join you and the guys for drinks at the local bar.

It’s only 4 p.m. and you’re just barely able to keep your eyes open through your last lecture of the day. Finals week is approaching much more quickly than you anticipated and you’re behind on some major projects, but motivation is dwindling and procrastination keeps taking over. You’re past trying to focus on the lecture, so you pull out your phone to text your best friend Connie.

“I’m about to pass out in class right now, I’m so bored.”

“lol that sucks dude. did you wanna come over after you get out of class?”

“Yeah that sounds good. I need to work on my project proposal, but I can work on it while I’m there.”

“aight bet. idk what time Jean is gonna be back, but we could grab a drink when he gets home if you need a break.”

“A drink sounds pretty damn good right now.”

You zone back into your applied biostatistics class and try your best to focus on the material. You love neuroscience and you don’t regret choosing this major, but after grinding through the first two semesters of your master’s degree it’s taking every ounce of your willpower not to take a gap year. You start thinking about getting drinks with Connie and Jean later and the thought of Connie’s overconfident approach to flirting with girls at the bar makes you smile to yourself. Finally you hear your professor start to wrap up the lecture and you make a beeline for the door.

The walk up the stairs to Connie and Jean’s apartment feels extra long today. Maybe it’s just the mental exhaustion adding to the psychical fatigue. You hang out with Connie so much that he got tired of having to get up to let you in while he’s gaming online with his friend Bertholdt, so he just gave you your own key. You’ve never met Bertholdt since he moved across the country for college with his best friend Reiner, but Connie has told you all about them and how they begged Annie to go with them when they decided to move. You’ve only met Annie a few times, but you have a good sense of her vibe. She’s working on a master’s degree in kinesiology at the same university you attend so you see each other on campus sometimes. She usually seems pretty closed off, but you’ve seen her laughing with her friend Mikasa on campus and it’s like seeing a totally different person.

Once you walk inside the apartment Connie moves over to give you room on the couch and offers to get you a snack, but you’re so behind on your project that you accidentally cut him off to ask if you can use his kitchen table as a desk for a couple hours. You set up your laptop and textbooks and put on your headphones to block out the sounds of disapproval coming from Connie as he plays Overwatch. It felt like an eternity of checking your notes, cross-referencing, and meticulously typing out the appropriate methods when Jean finally walks through the door smiling over at you.

“Hey you.”

You instinctively roll your eyes at him. You know Jean well enough to know that he’s a natural flirt, but you can’t stop the slightest blush from appearing on your cheeks when he directs his flirtatious energy at you. Before you can reply to him Connie blurts out,

“Dude where have you been? I've been getting slaughtered in game without you.”

“Sorry bro, one of my coworkers had an emergency and I had to cover the last couple of clients he had coming in. You guys wanna go get a drink?”

You immediately close your textbook and push your chair back from the table making Jean laugh.

“That bad huh? First round is on me then.”

“I appreciate it. Sorry you had to work late.”

“Nah it was nothing really. I’m just sorry I kept you waiting.”

“Yeah, you better be.”

Jean pretends he’s hurt by your sarcasm before going to his bedroom to change out of his work clothes. Connie asks if it would be okay if he invites Mikasa and Annie. You see no problem with that, in fact, you get a little excited at the idea of getting to know them both better.

Jean comes back out of his room in joggers and a loose fitting t-shirt with the Vans logo on it. You try to distract yourself from looking at the casual flex of his muscles as he stretches his arms up over his head. Connie decides he’d prefer to walk, so you guys set out for Sina on Tap. You listen to Connie tell Jean all about his plan to find a girlfriend tonight as you hold back the urge to poke fun at him. Once you get inside you see Mikasa and Annie at the bar throwing back a couple of shots and you can’t wait to have one yourself. You know you’ve been in need of a break and a good distraction from school, so you’re hoping you can let loose tonight. Mikasa sees you and the boys and she waves you over to her. Connie gives Annie a little half hug and asks her what they were drinking and then turns to Jean,

“Well Jean, you said first round on you right buddy? That’ll be 3 tequila shots, we’ve gotta catch up to them.”

Jean orders your shots for you and you take it back no problem with a swift bite into the slice of lime on the rim. You feel Annie’s eyes on you and you turn to try and start a conversation with her.

“So what made you want to go into kinesiology?”

“I originally picked it at random cause I thought the pay would be worth it, but at this point I actually find it really interesting. What about you? You’re in neuroscience right?”

“Yeah, I want to work on neurological solutions for hearing loss. I would be devastated if I wasn’t able to listen to music or hear my friend’s voices anymore.”

“Wow, that’s a pretty big goal. That’s cool.”

Annie talked to you for a while longer before Connie challenged her to a match of pool and Mikasa followed them over to the tables. You looked at Jean and joked that Connie pulled two girls instead of his usual zero and he chuckled. You guys just sat and sipped your beers for awhile before Jean asked you,

“So what do you think about Annie?”

“She’s cool, I still don’t really know her, but I feel like we could be friends.”

“Nice. I know that would make Connie happy.”

“I wanted to ask about that, do Connie and Annie have some kind of history? I saw the way he looked at her when we first walked in, and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen him initiate a hug.”

“Annie and Connie? Nah, no chance. She and Reiner were super close and Connie helped her through her depression after he and Bertholdt moved across the country. I know it was her choice to stay here, but I think it really hurt her to be left behind.”

“Damn, I can imagine so. I’m glad she has Connie then, and based on what I’m seeing right now I’m glad he has her too.”

You and Jean both look back over at the pool table where you see Connie attempting trickshots behind his back. You notice the way Mikasa is watching Annie laugh at Connie’s performance, and with some observation you start to understand their dynamic a little bit. You watch Mikasa’s eyes trail down Annie’s body taking in her tight black jeans and her oversized flannel. You see her eyes flit back up to Annie’s smile in an instant with adoration on her face. You turn back to Jean to confirm your suspicions,

“Are Mikasa and Annie…”

Jean cuts you off,

“Dating? I don’t think so. Mikasa has always seemed protective of Annie even though Annie can absolutely take care of herself. I don’t know if the attraction goes both ways though. I’ve never asked.”

You look back over at the scene unfolding in front of you and realize you’re a bit envious of Annie. You wish you had someone that looked at you with the level of care that Mikasa’s face is conveying. It’s been a couple of years since you’ve let anyone get close to you emotionally. Your mind trails off into thoughts about the last relationship you were in. A relationship that left you feeling like domestic life was a cage. It’s not that you wanted to date tons of people or sleep around, but you felt like you were constantly being told how to live your life and truthfully, your ex had some beliefs about traditional gender norms that became a major turn-off. Jean must have noticed that you were staring off into space cause when you snapped back to the present you heard him ask,

“Were you even listening to me?”

“I’m sorry, I got caught in my brain. What did you say?”

“I was just talking about how it always seemed like Annie had feelings for Reiner, but nevermind about that. You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m alright, just some memories from the past.”

“You wanna talk about it?”

“Not particularly.”

“Okay… you wanna drink about it?”

You laugh at Jean’s successful attempt to bring you back to earth. He flags the bartender over and orders you a couple more beers and another shot. You both throw your shots back with ease and decide to take your beers over to the pool table to join your friends. To everyone’s amusement Annie is showing Connie the right way to attempt a trickshot from behind the back. She sinks the 10 ball in the side pocket and smirks at Connie. Connie shrugs his shoulders trying to appear unimpressed, but you can see the boyish excitement tugging at the corners of his mouth. You watch as Connie and Annie finish their game with Annie easily pocketing all of the stripes in just a few turns. After she sinks the 8 ball she turns to ask who wants to face the winner and Jean jumps at the opportunity. You watch as Annie meticulously reracks the balls and lines up the cue. You notice the rings on her fingers, gemstones wrapped in delicate wire, dainty enough to appear feminine, but drawing enough attention to her hands to feel a bit sensual. You watch her shoot the breaking shot sinking the 3 ball. The raise of her eyebrows conveying careful consideration of what her next move will be. She sinks the 6, 2, and 5 balls before she just slightly misses her shot on the bright-yellow 1 ball. Jean observes the table with a fervent look in his eyes.

“Damn, you’re not going to make this easy for me.”

“Why would I? Can’t keep up Kirschtein?”

You giggle in admiration of the confidence rolling off of Annie’s tongue. Jean looks over at you with a shocked look of betrayal on his face. He can be so dramatic when he gets competitive.

“You’re rooting for her now!? I thought we were friends.”

You roll your eyes at him and smirk at Annie.

“Can’t argue with talent, and from what I’ve seen Annie is the most talented player in the room tonight.”

Annie gives you a shy smile and you can’t tell if it’s the low lighting playing tricks on your eyes or if a light blush really did just spread over her freckled cheeks. You realize it must be the latter when you notice Mikasa glaring at you from behind her beer bottle as she takes a long sip. There’s a fluttering in your stomach that you can’t ignore as you realize the guys are looking back and forth between you and Mikasa trying to assess what just happened. Jean breaks the tension by lining up to take his first shot on the table. He sinks the 11 ball and just barely misses the corner pocket with his following shot. Annie lines up her next shot and makes quick work of the 1, and 4 balls before she asks Connie to grab her another beer from the bar. By the time Connie comes back Jean has managed to sink three shots before missing the fourth. He walks around the edge of the table to where you’re standing and leans into your ear to ask you what the hell you’re thinking by flirting with Annie like that. You tell him you didn’t mean for it to come across flirtatiously. Truthfully though, you have always thought Annie was beautiful. You start mulling over all the times you’ve seen her around campus in her doc martins and her layered crystal necklaces. Always listening to music with her bulky headphones on over her sleek blonde hair pulled back in an effortless bun. You feel a tension pooling inside of you and you don’t dare look over at Annie or Mikasa for fear that they might see your thoughts written on your face. This is the first time you’ve ever consciously considered Annie in this way and you get flustered by the flood of thoughts rushing to your head. Connie’s hand on your shoulder startles you enough to shift your focus and you see that he’s gotten you another beer. You must’ve had at least five beers and two shots by now, and you can feel the warmth coming over your body as the alcohol affects your senses. The game wraps up nicely with Annie sinking the 8 ball as effortlessly as breathing, and Jean and Mikasa make their way to close their tabs at the bar. Jean walks back over to you and Connie to ask if you’re ready to go.

“Yeah I’m ready, you didn’t have to pay the full tab though. I thought you were just buying the first round.”

“It’s no problem. You and Connie can split the next one for me.”

“Deal.”

You say bye to Annie and Mikasa taking note of the tension on Mikasa’s face when you address her. Hats! They have a collection of about 20 different caps at the moment. It wasn't intentional, they just really liked the style and kept accumulating more over the years. They have a good variety of designs, from colorblock to floral to bands that they like, though they are almost all snapbacks.

4: What is their favorite music genre?

They listen to a lot of indie and punk rock. But whatever they're listening to, it's gotta be something that they can listen to LOUD. They are absolutely going to kill their hearing one day. Because of this, their hearing isn't as sharp as other giants, but they do have a good sense of smell.

6: What is their phone background/lock screen?

The default one, because they've just broken their phone and had to get a new one.

12: What's their preferred sleeping position?

Sam sleeps on their stomach most of the time, but tends to sprawl out in their sleep a lot. Also, lots of tossing and turning. They thrive on competitive games. They don't have the patience for super complicated, story-based, or difficult games, but they love games in the same vein as Super Smash Bros. They prefer to play with their friends vs with strangers online or solo, as that's the main reason they play video games in the first place, but they do play the occasional round of something like Overwatch - online multiplayer games.

30: How would they relax on a day off/rainy day?

Okay besides going to bother Christopher, they'd probably take the bus to the nearest city with a friend. They're the kind of friend to text you with something like "hey, are you doing anything? Wanna go somewhere with me? Great, be there in five minutes." They tend to make spontaneous plans, and they get energy from being with their friends and going places. They don't like to stay in one place for long or sit around by themselves.

33: What is their personal style? Favorite outfit?

They wear a lot of graphic tees, joggers, copious amounts of black, and the like. They really want to wear more tank tops, but it can make them self-conscious in public. Though, they did finally get a black tank top that has binding in it, and that's probably their favorite thing to wear now. That, and they're always wearing one of their hats.

43: What do they think is their worst quality? What is their actual worst quality?

Their "worst quality" is probably their stubbornness - which, it can be a good thing sometimes (seriously, they have the tenacity and willpower to see all kinds of crazy things through). But of course, it means it takes them a bit longer to accept change or, especially, their own feelings at times. It can cause them to be a little dishonest with others about the way they feel (see: Sam is a tsundere).

They probably consider their worst quality to be their impulsiveness. At times, they may realize that they get themselves into stupid situations or agree to things too easily.

48: What are they most afraid of?

They are afraid of being alone. Not that they can't be by themselves, but they're terrified of no longer being needed or being abandoned by their friends. It's why they're constantly trying to reach out to people and do things with others.
