I got fired from my job for "refusing to work" (a straight up lie), changing the music (every employee there has done this and never told off for it), no call no show on a day i requested off well in advance because it was the anniversary of my dad dying, and "being rude to coworkers" which boggles my mind because I can't even think of a situation in which I was rude to my coworkers. Did they mean when these twig girls were lifting 20lbs with their backs straight off the floor and I was trying to tell them how to do it right because doing it the way they were could seriously injure them?? Was it when my coworker over shared about her boyfriend, telling me about how he regularly threatens to destroy her belongings and I told her she should break up with him??? Literally cannot think of anything other than those two. What the fuck.
Like I know logically that most likely that was another complete lie for the sole purpose of papering my file. But also dammit now I'm mentally running through all my interactions of the last month.

I have nothing to add about Todd in the Shadows video other than like. In one of the clips he used Somerton was clearly dunking on Ulysses and I'm sorry you're not allowed to dunk on Ulysses if you haven't read it, which I fucking know this man didn't because he called it "265,000 words of a man wandering around a city while his wife cheats on him"
Like you do not have to have LIKE Ulysses (I'm more found of Joyce's work in Dubliners) but you DO have to read it before your dunking on it

When you think about it, the fact I live in a medieval city, with medieval structures still in tact, with a medieval castle, in a house built directly on the medieval West gate, right beside a medieval church, practise a medieval sword fighting system, and LARP being a knight daily, it's extremely queer-phobic that no one has offered to just knight me already. 🤷😔

I just wanna talk about the Rats finale cause Im crying
I absolutely loved Rats. It was something completely different from the mostly vanilla SMPs I watch and it always brought a smile to my face whenever Scott streamed it. That SMP was something I could always look forward to and would always bring me a reason to laugh and smile while watching a bunch of friends fool around and have fun. On top of that, the writing was incredibly well written and the finale had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next
Above all else, though, within Rats I was able to be comforted through a breakup, find myself through the characters, and have something that I could always fall back on when I needed a laugh
I will miss Rats, I think Ive done a good job at showing that, but Im just as excited for all the new projects these creators put forth. In the words of Owen Owengejuice, stay ratty

"I would warn you it has a lot of flashing lights and stove effects" said before a Eurovision entry is so funny to me because it would be so much easier for them to put it as a perminant banner at the bottom

[image id: a four-page comic. it is titled "immortality” after the poem by clare harner (more popularly known as “do not stand at my grave and weep”). the first page shows paleontologists digging up fossils at a dig. it reads, “do not stand at my grave and weep. i am not there. i do not sleep.” page two features several prehistoric creatures living in the wild. not featured but notable, each have modern descendants: horses, cetaceans, horsetail plants, and crocodilians. it reads, “i am a thousand winds that blow. i am the diamond glints on snow. i am the sunlight on ripened grain. i am the gentle autumn rain.” the third page shows archaeopteryx in the treetops and the skies, then a modern museum-goer reading the placard on a fossil display. it reads, “when you awaken in the morning’s hush, i am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight. i am the soft stars that shine at night. do not stand at my grave and cry.” the fourth page shows a chicken in a field. it reads, “i am not there. i did not die” / end id]
a comic i made in about 15 hours for my school’s comic anthology. the theme was “evolution”

Sometimes you just have one of those moments where the progress we've made as a culture get thrown into stark relief. You look at something and go "Holy shit, that would never have happened when I was a kid."
Today, I had one of those moments when I realized that the teenage boys I'm working with are just. genuinely, openly enthusiastic about going to Build-a-Bear for their outing.
These are sixteen and seventeen year old boys! They just had a whole conversation about what to name their "cute", mostly new squishmallows! They're genuinely excited that they're going to Build-a-Bear this weekend and asking other kids to pick up specific accessories for them!!
Holy shit, that never would've happened when I was 16. None of the boys would have dared to be visibly interested - and neither would most of the girls! There would have been a million gay jokes and "Haha, you're a girl" jokes and "What are you, a baby?" jokes. Teenagers weren't even supposed to care about anything back then!
Less than 15 years later, and I'm watching three 17 year old boys treat all that as not even worthy of comment.
So let's call that a reason for hope. Even when the kids aren't alright, in some ways apparently they are alright. Go Gen Z, honestly. It's so lovely to watch you guys just openly doing and saying stuff that, when I was a teen, would've been a social death sentence.

genuinely it will never stop baffling me how people will wear twilight shirts and talk about team Edward vs team Jacob and then the same people will be like "I'm not basing my personality off of a piece of media (harry potter) made by a transphobe 😌" like good that's great! so you can excuse racism but you draw the line at transphobia? good to know

Mystra showed him the secrets beneath the veils. The gossamer veils first, draped across the Weave. The delicate veils next, draped across her body. 'Chosen One' she whispered, as she slipped them off completely.
poor gale :'(
- the dialogue is from ea gale's explanation about his folly
- i kinda like that she ended up looking like a mother-of-pearl inlay lacquerware!
- oh this was a subconscious choice, but Gale is sitting in seiza which is a posture for showing respect especially to elders. it's also known to be a painful position to sit in for extended periods of time, which is why it was sometimes used as a method of (morally dubious) punishment. however, experienced people can maintain this posture for much longer. food for thought :-)
- (edit: deleted this point bcs it didn't really make sense + detracted from the art a little;;)

One of the most annoying things I've found out about my master on app development is that i have to install SO MANY different add ons and programs to be able to work this shit out
It's so annoying it makes me want to drive my car off a cliff I will rather do it on paper
I will go to your house and do whatever you need the app to do by myself with my two own human hands I'm so tired
