Its well known now that Book 7 will heavily imply familial messages and from what we seen with Shroud Family so far, is that they were very communicative and supportive of each other in the loving way possible.

I assumed they were strict and cold parents before but I'm glad its wrong, cuz this is such a nice twist 💕 their dynamic reminds me of disney Hera and Zeus affection on Hercules--- I wonder if theyre showcasing this as parallel of Diasomnia's??? So far in canon, most of them rarely talk about much they actually mean w each other or even being wholesome like the Shrouds were lol But still... its undeniable theyre family as wellll 🙏

Diasomnia spoilers (7-3 / 7-19) but it's a mess

because the update dropped at midnight for me and and I haven't sleep much since Friday hahaha 🌻

I translated 7-1 and 7-2 fully so I'm skipping that for now

Lilia spent the previous night playing games with his online friend, he overslept and was running towards the apprenticeship orientation meeting because he was late

He scolds Silver for not waking him up, but Silver says that he did try. 3 times. But Lilia is too hard to wake up in the mornings.

Malleus and Lilia have to go to the orientation, Malleus tells Yuu that they can visit him to ask more about Maleficent. The NPCs wonder why he even bothered to attend NRC since he doesn't need it, they're afraid of him.

The Third years are all assembled to discuss their options/chosen apprenticeships

Trey: something related to agriculture

Cater: entertainment field

Vil: he's interested in alchemy, but will prioritize his acting career

Rook: something related to archeology. He wants to work at the Isle of Lamentation since he found it beautiful and wanted to discover more hidden beauties

Leona: he's already talked about it with Crowley, he wants to work with his country's mining industry (he pretends that is only because they won't expect much of the second prince, nobody believes him)

Idia: he's going to his practice/apprenticeship on his own because Ortho is an official student now. He'll be working with Olympus, but it's more like a punishment his parents gave him after the whole Chapter 6 mess (😭)

Malleus: he's also interested on the same field as Rook

Lilia: a dropout (seriously)

(first glimpse of trouble 👀) Lilia is not going to any practice because he's leaving NRC altogether. He's been losing his magic (to be continued)

Yuu finally gets to have the communal braincell and shows Mickey's picture to the rest of the first years

The only one with a helpful idea is Ortho (shocker), he thinks the mirror at Ramshackle might be made of a special stone (?) that's normally used to capture radio frequencies. They find an example of this in a textbook: Belle's handheld mirror fron Beauty and the Beast

Ortho concludes that Mickey is not in Twisted Wonderland. He says that they might be able to find a way home for Yuu if they study the mirror further (uh oh)

We're ignoring the implications of that

Ortho asks if Yuu knows anyone from the fae folk that might be of help. Sebek is screaming again before the thought of asking Malleus is fully formed

Back to Lilia. He break the news to Sebek and Silver. He's leaving NRC and wants to move to the land of the red Long (🐉) instead of returning to the Valley of Thorns

He asks them to help him pack. Malleus says that they must respect Lilia's choice.

The three of them go away. Malleus is upset. (oh no)

another speedrun. Lilia's room.

Sebek and Silver are helping him pack, and they go through all the weird stuff Lilia has. Silver finds a box with a ring in it. He thinks is kind of familiar (hint: looks like Aurora's crown) and suddenly feels very sleepy

Lilia confesses that the ring actually does belong to Silver. He had it on him when he was found as a baby. He wanted to give it to him once he became an adult

(the math is mathing fellas)

we also ignore the implications of that (for now) because Sebek found a really cool and legendary weapon. Silver isn't impressed because Lilia uses it to chop wood (😭)

Back to Ramshackle. The first years are staying with Yuu to perform a seance to see if they can contact Mickey

ADeuce convinced Riddle to let them stay by telling him it was a group study session (like I used to do with my mom)

1. LOVE this opening. Such a great bedroom hahah. Perfectly messy and pink—makes me wonder what t2r’s shared bedroom must look like now!

2. What does Jackie do for a living? I know it’s canon (or fanon?) that she’s a hairdresser but do we actually ever see her working as one?

3. Who’s Derek? And why does Rose think a mannequin prank would be up his lane? RUN. Such a great meet cute 😭😭😭😭 these two are married now you guys!!!!!!!

4. ‘Cos to get that many people dressed up and being silly, they got to be students. 
That makes sense. Well done. 🥺🥺 nothing just the Doctor always appreciating the insight Rose brings🥺🥺

9. Rose doesn’t tell Mickey about the Doctor—no matter how ridiculous the plastic plot sounds she believes him, even if it is unconsciously at the moment

10. All the calls Jackie is getting one after the other insinuate a pretty closely knit neighbourhood, doesn’t it? All these people know where Rose works and are concerned enough to call up. Imagine how traumatic the sudden shift to Pete’s World must’ve been for Jackie—I know she’s got the parallel version of Bev but it’s not the same, and it must’ve taken a WHILE to adjust to everything.

11. “The airs and graces” comment. So much to be dissected here! Jackie’s relationship with herself and with her daughter implied very heavily in this one line. She seems to be jealous, even.

12. They have a cat flap! Rose confirmed cat person moment (1). The Doctor waiting outside the flat xD. Talk about picking up strays🥺

13. The dialogue is so damn gooood. And Christopher’s delivery is so endearing

14. Jackie hitting on the Doctor!!!!! Need tentoo to bring this up ASAP. She’s his mother in law😭

15. Staircase shot is incredible. Love the Sort of, yeah❤️ bit. Also love how the Doctor repeatedly checks on how she’s handling the information (*Are you alright? Do you believe me?*)—however unconsciously he’s doing it, he IS checking her suitability as a potential companion 🥺

16. Mickey SMH. Also apparently he doesn’t wash his dishes 🤣

17. Loveee Clive. RTD’s writing is so immersive, it really makes the whole world come alive. These side characters add so much depth to the story—something sorely missing in the Moffat and Chibnall eras.

18. THE WHEELIE BIN. I always forget how fucking ridiculous this episode is until I rewatch it 🤣 also lord Rose is so uninvested in this relationship. P-P-PIZZA will always be one of my fav lines

19. The infamous Jimmy Stone! I love how we’re given the one line about him and it’s inspired thousands of fics. Rose considering completing her A Levels here—would that be something she’d be interested in doing in Pete’s World?

20. TARDIS!!!!! Doomsday theme begins here 😓😓 love how the Doctor is judging how easily she can accept his alienness—he claims to be done with human companions every time but he is undoubtedly impressed by Rose. Also find it incredibly interesting he didn’t even think about Mickey being dead. This, contrasted with other alien lives (including the Daleks, sometimes) that the Doctor seems to value…is an intriguing juxtaposition. Is there a little simmering jealousy of the boyfriend already? Is he slightly unable to look at consequences of actions beyond his own? He has just come off of a genocide at this moment

21. Mickey’s mother! Bit of a mistake here, we learn that he was raised by his grandma in *Father’s Day*

22. Lots of planets have a North!!!

23. I always found it funny that Rose, who seemed so upset about Mickey a second ago, is now holding hands with Nine and running down the bridge lmfao. They really are very alike in their love for the thrill.

24. ‘Yeah, that was always a possibility. Keep him alive to maintain the copy.’
You knew that and you never said? 
Can we keep the domestics outside, thank you?’ hmmm. Jealousy, perhaps? Or a disregard for lives he doesn’t believe are at the same level as that of higher beings? As much as he rejected the Time Lords, he is a product of his origin, and has quite a condescending view of humans

26. The Nestene Consciousness is alarmed when it recognises that he is a Time Lord. Later in the show, it’s implied that the Time Lords were almost, if not as bad as the Daleks were, during the Time War.

Hmmmm. If it was ‘anything’ I’d switch with something with wings. But if it has to be a person then I guess the next best thing? Like a Circe du Soleil arial performer? Yeah, I think that’d be cool, but also after an hour I’d be kinda done. Perfect.

2. whats your most trivial / dumbest hot take?

I don’t have baths after dark. No one should. The nighttime monsters are gonna get you, if you’re wet after sundown. I don’t make the rules 🤷🏽‍♂️

3. If you had to teach a college course what would it be in?

Something animal related. Or problem solving and problem prevention. Like, I always say you can’t teach common sense but… maybe I could try?? Cause I think I’d be pretty good at it! Maybe not college. Get them earlier. While they’re malleable. Teach them how to spot shit that’s about to hit the fan. And what they can do to prevent it! Teach them how to walk into a room and register the 13 things that need to be addressed / fixed / saved / cleaned before they walk back out of the room. Yeah. I’d be good at that.

4. season 12 of shameless is suddenly happening and you’ve been put in charge! what plot point(s) are you gonna make happen?

I want them all to be settled and happy. I don’t need life to be perfect. But just…

I like Lip being into the building and decorating, but he’s soon gonna miss using his brain, so I’d like him to move into either the architecture side of things or the business management and franchising side of things.

I love Ian & Mickey being happily married forever and ever, and they’ve gone through so much shit, they should just get to be happy, but! I hate that all mentions of Ian’s bipolar were cut from season 11. This doesn’t just go away. Show me how well they deal with it now, but also how it’s still hard, and how it touches a part of Mickey’s hurt and trauma that he doesn’t want to achonowledge, and how sometimes it makes Ian self-loathing and mean and Mickey scared and angry, and when they get like this they lash out at each other. And then show me how, even when things are hard, they continue to fight for each other and choose each others, because they will ALWAYS choose each other.

Sandy is going to come back and Debbie and her are gonna make a real go of it.

Carl is going to buy and run The Alibi and it’s going to be awesome.

Mouse was named after Michael ‘Mouse’ Tolliver (Tales of the City) by Ruth and after Mouse the Temple Dog from Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files by me. Full Name: Mouse McFeathers.

Howard was named after the foreman in charge of a big building project at the farm, at the time when we rescued him as a kitten. Howard Alan Crisp, giving his name to our three kittens Howard, Alan, and Crispy. Full Name: Howard ‘Bonk Bonk’ Bambino.

Wiggins was named after the cyclist Bradley Wiggins, because he was big at the time, and it was better than Froome, which was the other name on the table, and closest to Arthur, which is what I wanted to call him. In the end we let Mouse choose by writing all the names on pieces of paper, folding them up, and picking the one she swiped off the table. Full Name: Wiggins Dangerbean.

literally every time I listen to grace, Ian listening to this album pops into my head 😭😭

who else do you think he can listen to? maybe lana(omg i headcanon that him and debbie talked about her music and she didn't expect that he knows her lmao), nirvana, the doors or something? I completely ignore his taste in the show too🫡🫡

oh anon i am so late to this and i apologize😭 i have no excuse other than laziness so… anyways!

ian definitely would like jeff buckley. i know that for a fact. i know that john wells showed us him listening to like… techno shit and lady gaga which is fine, but i don’t see him listening to that, i see everything that you listed, jeff buckley, lana del rey, nirvana, the doors, possibly oasis (based on carl’s shirt in 1x01), and maybe even radiohead (mickey canonically likes radiohead so…). 

i could see him liking grace, especially around season 1. like, another thing about ian and his “techno” music taste is that season 1 goes against it because we heard him listening to music in the van and he seemed to value music based on him saying he gave kash cds so that they would be interested in the same things. maybe he showed kash grace? i don’t know, i don’t want kash to know what grace is because i despise him but i could see ian loving that album. i don’t know if he would like sketches for my sweetheart the drunk just because i somehow feel like he wouldn’t have discovered it😭 like maybe later on around season 7 he would’ve listened to it, and if he did, he would like “nightmares by the sea” and “yard of blonde girls”, i think.

i personally associate ian with a few songs on grace, and if this post actually gets any attention and people want to know i could post about it like i did with mickey and nude by radiohead, but here are some songs that remind me of ian/i think ian would like (off of grace):

- lover, you should’ve come over; romantic song, i feel like ian would listen to it and think of mickey because he’s a fucking sap. he would have this song, “at last” (etta james, their wedding song) and some other love songs in a playlist titled “mickey” or something like that. this song i kind of associate with mickey in season 4/5, just because of how much of a hopeless romantic he is, but mickey would probably not listen to jeff buckley. early seasons ian would probably resonate with this song a lot, especially in season 2/3 when his love for mickey is growing stronger and it’s making him a bit miserable at the same time. the whole “so i’ll wait for you, love, and i’ll burn” thing reminds me of both of them, but especially season 2/3 ian because he was kind of always left waiting for mickey to the point where it started to really break him. just the intense feeling of love in this song is so ian and it’s just… such a beautiful song and also gallavich coded i can’t even

- forget her; ian’s feelings towards mickey in seasons 6-8. i think people often look down on ian for how he felt about mickey in those seasons, and i understand why, but i also feel so awful for ian because the way he acted was so clearly him just trying to forget. wanting to push down all feelings he had for mickey and pretend that the situation was something it wasn’t because he undoubtedly has avoidant attachment issues (which i want to talk about more in depth sometime). “don’t fool yourself, she was heartache from the moment that you met her” is so ian, there is no way he went into that relationship and thought it would all end up okay. whether we’re talking about ian or mickey being the “heartache”. because ian always expected mickey to get himself thrown away again, and ian always expected himself to fuck things up. so he goes out with other men and he convinces himself he’s okay when he’s not, that he’s over mickey when he’s not, he has this whole façade on and not many people could see through it, but the second mickey saw him in season 7 (or even in the visit in season 6) he saw through it. the lyrics “oh, i think i’ve forgotten her now” remind me of ian’s date with caleb or just the whole caleb thing in general where he’s clearly trying to be someone he’s not and saying things he wouldn’t have said.

- lilac wine; season 3 ian. but like, 3x06-3x11 ian. the downfall, the heartbreak, the start of it all. “i lost myself on a cool, damp night, i gave myself in that misty light, was hypnotized by a strange delight under a lilac tree”, really just reminds me of the aftermath of 3x06 on ian’s part. the way he started to change, and drink, and cry. he was hurt, physically and mentally, and i don’t know how to really explain these lyrics in association with him during that time they just are ian. the whole song is kind of just like, drinking and missing someone. “lilac wine is sweet and heady, where's my love? lilac wine, i feel unsteady, where's my love? listen to me, why is everything so hazy? isn’t that she, or am i just going crazy, dear?” ian at the wedding, or after the wedding. just 3x11 in general. he’s drunk/hungover throughout the entire episode, and it’s really the start of it all. i mean, i think that everything had started a few episodes before that, but to me, that was the first episode where i saw ian and was like “holy shit”. he missed mickey, he drank a lot, and he was just so fucking heartbroken.

- dream brother; this song always reminds me of ian when i listen to it and i don’t even know how to explain it. i think a big part of it could be the fact that it’s believed this song is about child abandonment, and not only that, but also self destruction. two things ian knows a lot about. “her green eyes blew goodbyes, with her head in her hands” reminds me so much of monica leaving in season 1. not only that, but the look ian gave her. the way his eyes looked everytime they landed on her. it’s so heartbreaking and that lyric really reminds me of that. another thing about this song is that it apparently was a warning for his (jeff buckley’s) friend not to walk out on his pregnant girlfriend because it reminded him of what his father did, which is why the song says, “don’t be like the one who made me so old”. to me, that’s ian to lip. specifically in 7x08, which is one of my favorite episodes/scenes ever and i have talked about it so many times. how the scene where lip grabs ian is a direct parallel to when frank headbutts ian, and how ian looks at lip the same way he looks at frank. how ian advises lip not to drink before ian goes off to prison, and like, i don’t know, how they both have always kind of worried about ending up like frank and monica, the people who hurt them both so much. “they're waiting for you like i waited for mine; and nobody ever came” just reminds me of how ian looked when monica hugged debbie and carl in season 1. when she says “please let me be your mommy again” you can tell that ian’s heard that 1000 things and he’s absolutely crushed.

i definitely think he would listen to lana del rey, and i intend on making a separate post about that (i also started a series on ao3 of shameless oneshots inspired by lana del rey but it’s on a quick hiatus because again, i’m a lazy fuck), he reminds me a lot of her album (or ep, i guess) paradise. especially the songs ride and cola. if he were to listen to her he’d definitely be a local but he would love the songs he knows. debbie definitely got him into her because i’ve literally made a whole in-depth post about why debbie is a lana fan (it’s basically canon, especially considering debbie’s age and her marina phase) and so she would introduce her to him. maybe ian has lana songs on that playlist i was talking about?? who knows

i could definitely see him liking nirvana, that’s pretty realistic and it makes sense for him. i made a post about ian and territorial pissings and i honestly could make a lot of connections between ian and nirvana, too. it’s worth mentioning that kurt cobain was bipolar and he had songs about it, and those songs always seem to remind me of ian (like lithium).

What made you fall in love with Gallavich?

I love how they continued to persevere and make their ways back to each other. Most people in their circumstance(s) would have given up on each other and the idea of ever being together and happy but they loved each other enough to never give up, despite the universe telling them that they should. They knew that they were each other's soulmates so they clawed their ways through the many (many) obstacles that came their way and fought to make it work. Now they're together, married and happy and that'll always make me happy. 🥹🥰

How long have you been a fan? Since May of 2023. Very newly obsessed.

Favourite Gallavich moment/scene? There's a lot of Gallavich moments that I absolutely love but I'll try to narrow it down to just 3, in no particular order:

In season 1 when Monica shows up for the first time. The first thing Ian did was run to the Milkovich house to see and talk to Mickey. Though Mickey was hesitant to talk to Ian at the moment (because Terry was there), Mickey showed that he cared about Ian by agreeing to meet Ian at the Kash and Grab to make sure he was okay. That moment, even though it is so early in the series, showed how much they cared for each other already. Mickey being the first person on Ian's mind in a moment of distress, and Mickey dropping everything to make sure Ian was alright is a moment that's so special to me. They were so young and had feelings for each other that neither of them probably couldn't really explain if they tried to at the time, but they both knew that there was something more there. Mickey also already knowing Ian's work schedule makes me smile like a giddy little idiot every time lol 🥰

The "sorry I'm late..." moment 🥹💞. Even though Mickey had his own shit to work though with Ian's diagnosis, him still showing up for Ian and letting him know that he wasn't going anywhere despite it all was so fucking sweet and I love it.

The prison reunion. Nothing says true love like getting yourself thrown into prison and giving up your freedom because you found out that the person you love is going to prison and you want to be with them, regardless of the circumstances.

Favourite Shameless character apart from Ian and Mickey? Kev and Sheila

Do you write or draw or make edits? I don't - I'm not talented enough for that lol. I do enjoy seeing, reading and supporting everyone else's art and fics though!

Favourite type of Gallavich fics? I usually go for one shot post canon or canon compliant fics, usually full of fluff and/or smut, though I'm not opposed to multi-chapter ones. I love reading post-canon fics about married Ian and Mickey being understanding and taking care of each other as they both continue to work though their shit. Mickey always knowing what his husband needs and taking care of him, even when Ian doesn't ask him to, or Ian always reassuring his husband and letting him work though his own trauma always tugs at my heart strings 😭. I also don't mind reading fics that include the rest of the family. I want to eventually venture out to reading maybe some AU fics at some point though.

Favourite Gallavich quote? Idk if I can choose just one so here's my top 3 - again in no particular order:

Their vows 🥰. Everytime I think about their vows, I think of a headcanon that someone wrote on here (don't remember exactly who at the moment, sorry!) talking about how they each emphasized a different word in their vows and how accurate and on brand it was for them. I get the warm fuzzies everytime.

"Ian, what you and I have makes me free. Not what these assholes know."

"I can take care of him, okay? Let me take care of him til he's better... We're taking care of him here. You, me, us. His fucking family."

Anything else you’d like to share about yourself? I first started watching Shameless at the beginning of May of 2023 (after being told for years that I should watch it and continuously putting it off - kicking myself now) and as of mid July, I've watch it a total of 4 times. So when I post or reblog something saying that I'm obsessed, I truly mean obsessed. I have never loved or cared for individual characters or a couple from a TV series or movie as much as I do Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich.

The World on the Other Side of the Mirror

WARNING THIS IS A VERY LONG POST AND ALSO CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM CHAPTER 6 AND SPECULATIONS ABOUT CHAPTER 7

Once again this is just my theories/speculations, they may be right or wrong but it all depends on you on what you're going to do with the information my potato brain came up with (also this was supposed to be posted a long time ago but my thoughts were so scattered so 😅)

So watching the translations for Chapter 6, it can be noted that Mickey appears a lot more in this chapter. In the scene where Epel and Yuu chase after Rook, Mickey appears and says this...

After all that it also shows scenes of Grim getting taken away to STYX and Ace and Deuce in the infirmary.

The next part where Mickey appears once again is near the end of Chapter 6, where everything was resolved, and we see Mickey again through the mirror. We were also about to show to Grim that Mickey was real but Grim also says that there's nothing reflecting onto the mirror...

Mickey also found it strange that he can't see Grim either, only us. He also states that he can only see fog around us, Mickey then proceeds to describe how his room looks like and ask us if we can see it...

But since we're on the same case as Mickey where we can only see fog around him, we say no. He was sad that he can't meet more friends in his dream. And then Mickey proceeds to tell us that while we're away he saw someone in his dream room, he also described how they looked like...

After that part we hear an alarm going off with Mickey saying he needs to wake up. Mickey then says his goodbyes and him wanting to meet again before leaving which causes to think "Is the other side of the mirror a dream world?"

Now let's go to my theories/speculations:

What Will Happen in Chapter 7

1. About Mickey

So now we know how important Mickey is especially in the future parts of the story. But with the things he's been saying throughout Chapter 6 such as wanting to help us find Grim and wanting to make new friends made me think...

Could it be possible for Mickey to find a way into Twisted Wonderland?

It was mentioned at the very beginning of this post that Mickey wanted to help us but he couldn't, so wouldn't there be a possibility that when we're in grave danger Mickey will find his way into Twisted Wonderland? Like Mickey could possibly help us in fighting OB! Malleus, heck maybe even OB!Grim.

2. The Person Who Appeared in Mickey's Dream Room and The Dream World as a Whole

As of right now we don't have that much information about the Dream World other than Mickey's Dream Room and how it was the first time that someone enters his room. Based off Mickey's description, there's only one person who fits the description of "silver hair and mysterious eye color" which happens to be Silver (Mickey why you gotta make our lives harder with the mysterious eye color part 😭), which meant that Silver most likely ended up in Mickey's room in his sleep.

However, since we do know that Silver has his curse/narcolepsy, how did he only end up in Mickey's room now even though he sleeps a lot?

The answer to that question would most likely be that Silver was probably in a deep sleep after the fight with the Charon. He most likely wasn't fighting his sleep anymore which caused his consciousness to move somewhere else. Now this is where it gets interesting...

How did Silver end up in the Dream World of all places?

This would most likely connect to Silver's magic. It's possible that Silver could go into different dream realms or dreamwalk. It is also noted that Silver mentioned he saw us before in a dream, which could either mean he actually saw us in a dream he had or it's just a reference to "Once Upon a Dream". A lot of people also speculated that Silver also has the same dreams as us about the Great Seven.

How come Mickey can see Silver but he couldn't see Grim?

Once again that is most likely because Silver was in Mickey's dream room, not in our actual room or Silver might actually be from another world, since Mickey can also see us, who's not from Twisted Wonderland. Well not necessarily from our world, he could be from another world that we don't even know of. Maybe Silver's ability of dreamwalking is seen as unusual or dangerous in Twisted Wonderland but in the world he was supposedly in, it was normal?

Another thing I thought about is how Silver can help Mickey end up in Twisted Wonderland to help us. Since Silver can travel from the dream world to Twisted Wonderland, Mickey might go with him.

I also have a question clouding my mind for awhile which is...

Is it possible for someone to be stuck in the Dream World?

3. What Will Happen in Chapter 7

Now we do know a lot of things will be brought into light during Chapter 7 (which means a lot of suffering and angst). The biggest topic Chapter 7 would tackle would be about human mortality. We know that Malleus and Lilia are both faes, which means that they'll eventually outlive everyone. Lilia has seen a lot of things in his lifetime (such as the war, serving the queen etc.) but for the case of Malleus, who only saw the castle walls his entire life and when he was the given the opportunity to go out and create relationships with humans, he was treated as an outcast.

Another factor to consider is our friendship with Malleus. We can't forget that we landed in Twisted Wonderland by accident and we're now fighting overblots and all that stuff while trying to find a way back home. For Malleus, we are literally his first friend outside Diasomnia so of course we would be really important to him. But if he gets the news that we're going back home, he wouldn't probably take it well.

Speaking of finding a way home, if Silver's UM or magic in general involves the ability of going through the Dream World and its different realms, then there could be a possibility that Silver can be the key into bringing us back home. Cuz think with me here, Twisted Wonderland as a whole feels like a dream right? Like beasts, flying brooms and magic all feel like a dream, and if Silver can actually go into different realms or whatever then he must have seen our world . Another factor could be the arrangement of dorms by chapter, well more importantly Chapter 1 and Chapter 7. Heartslabyul's story was Alice in Wonderland which is about Alice entering Wonderland, a dream, while Diasomnia's story is Sleeping Beauty, which can be related to waking up from a dream where Aurora is awoken by Prince Philip and they live their happy ever after.

If that's the case, then Malleus would try to prevent that from happening by putting everyone to sleep or perhaps out of blind rage, he unknowingly tries to kill Silver to prevent us from going home, or both could happen who knows. Now before you attack me on the killing Silver part we do know that murder is possible right? Leona tried to kill Ruggie when he OBed and Jamil really tried to murder Kalim to free himself from his servant title so that is possible as well.

If Malleus actually puts everyone to sleep then there's a chance that we might need to go the dream world and enter each of the boy's dreams to wake them up. One more thing I like to think about is what if Malleus breaks the mirror, which causes those who are in the other side of it to be stuck there until someone can find a way out. Their bodies will remain unconscious in Twisted Wonderland until their conciousness finds a way out of the mirror...

But what will happen to the other characters such as Sebek, Lilia, and Shroud Brothers?

The most common theory I've seen for Sebek is that he'll most likely be against yadi yadi yada and all that stuff. While that is possible, I highly doubt it honestly. I really want Sebek to get smacked with character development, that he's more than just a guard of Malleus, but he can also be his own person instead of just patronizing someone so much to the point it's kinda getting out of hand. Sebek is also an easily misunderstood character (I swear some of ya'll don't read his vignettes and it shows), I just really hope that Chapter 7 will explore more about his personality outside of Malleus and his personal issues, especially with his half and half thing going on and his mindset about humans, which is most likely caused by his environment. Sebek's motif is also unclear, so maybe he'll possess multiple motifs such as Maleficent's lightning and Shield of Virtue to correspond with Silver's Sword of Truth.

Ok now for Lilia, I'll be honest I'm quite unsure as to what will happen to peepaw. Yes he does set off a lot of death flags, but the "last wish" part could be interpreted as something else as well. It could mean that it will be last time Lilia will wish to the stars because there is now someone who will be the solution to that problem, which is most likely us. Lilia dying is still possible though, since a lot of games do kill off characters yet still make them playable, but then again this is also Disney so if they do kill him off, they'll most likely revive him out of nowhere so who knows 🤷‍♀️.

I absolutely love how smart it was for the creators to let Ignihyde help us for Chapter 7. Since Chapter 6 tackles about Death and Chapter 7 is a deeper dive into said topic, which is perfect, really. Idia knows what's it like to lose someone, and it was sudden too. So Idia would probably smack some sense into Malleus, telling him that he still has people who accept and love him for who he is, and that he should cherish them because you'll never know how important they'll become once he loses them. Since goodbyes are inevitable, it would be best to spend your time with them as if it's your last time together.

Ortho would also play a significant role in helping us defeat Malleus. If everyone is put to sleep, then Ortho probably isn't affected by it because he's a humanoid robot, and robots don't need sleep. Technology is also something Malleus isn't familiar with, so that can be used as a weakness in fighting. In terms of fighting Malleus...

Wouldn't it be more sad and painful that instead of Silver delivering the final blow, it will be us doing it? How sad will it be that Malleus's only friend is the one who has to smite him down...

Ian and Mickey Meta Questions: Clothing

this is my moment 🙏 aka just me rambling to myself @gallavichmeta

1. When do you think the first time was that one wore the others clothes? And what feelings did they have about it?

I’m looking through gifs and it seems like the earliest occurence is during 2x01/3x11 with this grey hoodie? and my only interpretation of this is that sometime during the s2 summer, Ian left it at the dugouts after they fucked. and Mickey saw it in the corner of his closet since he also forgot to give it back, and naturally was drawn to it without realizing it’s Ian’s to help him cope with how sad he was :/

2. Mickey is the youngest brother in his family and Ian is the middle brother in his family. What feelings do they have about hand-me-down clothing?

Mickey didn’t care at all cause that’s the way life was for him in Terry’s household, sadly.

Well canonically Ian was tired of living under Lip’s shadow and he’s his only older brother, so naturally some of his clothes are his hand-me-downs. You can also see that in the show. I think that Ian didn’t rly mind this particularly, just shows how close he is with Lip y’know? and they have different styles but so similar at the same time esp Lip’s is more nerdy

3. Do you think either of them have a favourite outfit or item of clothing?

Oh I know Mickey fucking LOVES his black boat neck sleeveless tank. mans wears it all the time, like if he was in a dress up game this would be his default option. I saw a cute fanart speculating that the reason why he mostly wears sleeveless clothes esp in early seasons is bc he overheard Ian saying he esp loves a r m s in men so he cut them specifically, but I feel like he felt uncomfortable and wants to stretch his arms. we all know how he’s a man of action

4. Do you think either of them have a least favourite item of clothing?

Can I say Mickey’s first wedding suit? Because he was yanking the bowtie when he came out of the dressing room and the whole thing was both literally and metaphorically was suffocating him. which was why it was so meaningful for him to get to choose his white suit (and other stuff in his second wedding), even if he had to straight-up take his and Ian’s by force ASDKFJL

Ian telling Mandy he didn’t want to starve himself to fit that golden thong was so :((( I think he also greatly regrets his job at the club, so all memories involving it are prob bad for him. rly wished the show didn’t just brush how he felt under the rug

5. What do you think their personal style says about them?

Well Mickey’s style screams thug (not necessarily king of the southside) that’s for sure

Ian’s fashion sense is very wack lmfao. I think it just means that he’s a silly goofy boy! Someone said "every cis gay millenial dude owns this shirt" under a gifset of his raglans 😭

6. What items of clothing hold most significance for them?

Didn’t Mickey personally say in 11x05 that he “loves this shirt” in response to the black shirt he was wearing, and the whole fandom agreed that it’s the same one that Ian wore to Mexico 🥺 MEANWHILE HE WAS WEARING THE FLANNEL?? THAT SPANS A WHOLE TIMELINE

And Ian’s EMT jacket def means a lot to him. Everytime I look at it I gain new waves of emotion so I can’t even imagine what he feels when he reminiscences during late nights TT

7. Do you think the way Mickey’s sense of style changed over time was to do with his relationship with Ian?

Yes, definitely. Says a lot that he was dirtier in the early seasons, like he never gave a fuck abt his appearance bc there were other things to focus on before Ian did. I can imagine Ian nuzzling Mickey’s shoulder during another one of their summertime fucks at the dugouts, so Mickey wanted to clean up nice for him without directly saying anything. And how overtime, he dressed more and more fashionable :D

8. Ian has worn a few different uniforms (ROTC, janitor, EMT, prisoner, fake EMT etc etc) over the course of the series, how do you think they made him feel?

I feel like the ROTC and EMT uniforms made him feel empowering, like he’s reaching his ambition of doing something with his life. Then the other ones like his stripper outfit as I’ve mentioned in 4, janitor, prison, fake EMT uniforms rly made him feel horrible. But I think he did grow to like his prison uniform after seeing Mickey in that white tank top all the time, maybe?

9. How does their emotional state affect their clothing choices?

It does, but I can’t necessarily find much apparent examples? But I like how in 3x09/ abandoned building, Mickey was wearing his sweater. I think sweaters and sadness definitely go together

10. We see Mickey wear colourful/Hawaiian shirts a couple of times, how do you think those types of clothes make him feel?

It makes him feel fun! The first time he clicks his tongue, does a little dance, and asks ian for his approval & the second time he lets out a “ooh!” He’s a cutie. I rly get emotional whenever Mickey gets to experience the little joys in life that he never rly got to express when he was younger. Then I get emotional for a different reason - he had a whole dream of laying in the sun with Ian in Mexico but he ended up doing it alone or not at all I’m fucking crying

11. Compare their first and last appearances, what do their outfits tell us about the characters?

They both dress more “maturely” in the last eps compared to the first ones :0c cargo jackets(?) !!!

Books I’ve Read in January

This month’s reading was very…chaotic

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt || 3.5/5

‘When you feel homesick,’ he said, ‘just look up. Because the moon is the same wherever you go.’

A tad long, but interesting nonetheless; we get the opportunity to truly understand, or at least view, all of what makes up Theo, the main character. The novel tells us the differences in valuing art, the battle of authenticity and fabrication, and the significance and immortality surrounding art. I’d consider the ending open ended, which I find fitting for the story. A frustratingly good and introspective read.

Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens || 1/5

I wasn’t aware that words could hold so much. I didn’t know a sentence could be so full.

I honestly didn’t like this book, and wouldn’t read it again. It’s listed as a drama, mystery, & thriller book, but it read more as a fictitious biography. Much of the dialogue was confusing and hard to read due to the way it was written. The characters weren’t very complex, and there’s a lot of inconsistencies throughout the book. One star for Kya being a girlboss in the end ig (& I sometimes liked how the marsh was described, but oftentimes seemed overly descriptive & unnecessary).

Icebreaker by A. L. Graziadei || 3.5/5

And that matters far more than the name called first.

This book was touching and heartfelt, and I really like the premise of this book. Unfortunately, the ending felt rushed, and the relationship between Mickey and Jaysen felt underdeveloped. However, I really liked the portrayal of mental illness as Mickey navigated the expectations everybody set on him, and how he learned to lean on others for support.

M Is For Monster by Talia Dutton || 5/5

I look…nothing like you. It’s all so messy. Like I could just fall apart.

A graphic novel about grief, love, identity, and what it means to be human. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially those who liked the Frankenstein novel. M’s conflict between wanting to be loved yet fearing rejection (and dissection) was beautifully portrayed, and so touching. I simply cannot get enough of this story!

Payback’s A Witch by Lana Harper || 2/5

This town is in your blood, in a way you might not even understand just gets.

The world building was interesting but the premise didn’t live up to my expectations; the antagonist felt silly (not in a good way), and I was left in confusion about the characters’ actions a lot of the time. The pacing was slow, the chemistry between the main couple was lacking, and the ending just felt off. Yes there were good scenes, but it was overshadowed by the amount of filler. Overall, it was cliche and predictable.

‘Til the dirt hits my chest.

I am on my last straw 😭 The protagonist is insufferable and disrespectful of others’ boundaries, none of the characters are held accountable for their numerous actions, the dialogue is cringey, and the relationship between Claire and Tess is literally so toxic yet is portrayed to be cute. I didn’t like anything about this book.

EMT AU and The Words We Left Unsaid 👀😍

'Ello there Georgia!!

The words we left unsaid was supposed to be a 5+1 about all the times they wanted to say i love you but couldn't due to their circumstances and the one time they do say i love you to each other. I really loved this one but i realised it was going exactly like how i wanted it to be so i kinda of gave up half way 😩

For the emt au i don't exactly know how to explain it so i'm just gonna share a snippet. It was asked by @vintagelacerosette for an ask game but my brain shut down just as i was getting to the ending 😭

If Mickey’s gaydar was right and including the ogling he’s noticed from Ian, he’s 87% sure Ian’s into him. 

Their first task was to give CPR to a dummy, easy shit, but the intoxicating thought of the redhead behind him was doing things to him, for starters giving him a hard-on in the middle of training. He sees the way Ian looks at him, eyes slowly trailing down his arms, his back, and…oh? If that’s what he wants, Mickey can give it to him.

He knows Ian’s seen it because of the way he’s fumbling around, face as red as his hair, trying to occupy himself by helping the others. At this point Mickey doesn’t even care if he passes or not, all he can think about is Ian. Ian all over him, touching him. Everywhere.
