Exploring the other side of the dynamic of Kaeya and Diluc

So, I don’t think I’m the only one that always saw Kaeya acting like the “younger bro” to Diluc; he seems to strive for Diluc’s approval at times, he is the one to visit Diluc’s tavern all the time, and while he teases Diluc, it seems like Diluc almost always has the upper hand in the conversation, or he is like an older bro relenting to Kaeya because he’s the “youngest” (if you know, you know).

But I watched this epic video and my eyes have been opened. Idk the context of the video (romantic or platonic), but I love it either way and now feel like I better understand it if it were Kaeya acting like the protective one to Diluc.

Kaeya, (“the older bro”) giving Diluc space but always keeping an eye on him in the shadows.

Kaeya, wanting to reach out but not knowing if Diluc can handle speaking with him now.

Kaeya, grieving over the loss of a “second” father to him but shouldering it in the moment to be there for Diluc—who turns on him at this time because of the emotions he can’t control (or is feeling all at once).

Kaeya, giving Diluc inside info not (just) to rebuild trust but to also keep Diluc safe, because knowing all the information is always better than going in blind, and Diluc will do both regardless of the situation to protect his home.

Kaeya, somehow following Diluc without his knowledge to know his “secret identity” (it’s literally just a mask) at night.

Kaeya always knows more about the situation than he lets on, and in this sense he’s the one looking out for Diluc.

I’ve seen people say they think Diluc is too mean to Kaeya at times that they’re surprised Kaeya hasn’t given him the cold shoulder (which I don’t entirely agree with), but isn’t that what big bros do? Or what someone who cares deeply about another does?

You shoulder the hurt they may cause, indirectly or directly, because their safety will always matter the most to you.

Kaeya absolutely gives off that vibe, and it’s incredible how versatile their relationship is and the ways you can interpret it.
