Disclaimer: I’m about to go off on a geometric rant so idk. Also this a pro-Elriel post ✌🏼
But, I can’t help but feel like…
SJM solidified Elriel when she decided to write Nessian. Two sisters are with two brothers. The third brother not ending up with the third sister is like a puzzle missing it’s final piece. A disruption in the pattern deeply prevalent throughout the entire series. Three trials. Three mountains. Three Death Gods. Three feet to the Cauldron. Three is a number of fate. A holy number. A pattern. And tell me, does this match said pattern:
Two brothers and two sisters.
One brother and [insert red-head of choice].
It lacks balance. And, interestingly enough, we learn about a symbol of balance in HOSAB:
“A six-pointed star,” Ithan said […] “It is a symbol of balance,” She explained, moving away… “Two intersecting triangles, male and female, dark and light, above and below… and the power that lies in the place where they meet.”
Now back to the world of ACOTAR. Where can we find two interesting triangles [see: a set of three, three “points”]? The three Archeron sisters. And the three batboys.
Feyre and Rhys: The Leaders, or top of the Triangle. High Lady and High Lord. “Love me.” Night Triumphant and the Stars Eternal.
Nesta and Cassian: The Warriors, one side of the triangle’s base. Lady Death and the Lord of Bloodshed. “Touch me.” The General of the Illyrians and the Commander of the Valkyries.
Elain and Azriel: The Spys, the second side of the triangle’s base. The Seer and the Shadowsinger. “Sing me.” Death and the Lovely Fawn.
Together they are the foundation of the six-pointed star. They are a part of balance. An intersecting of power. Elain’s story is tied to her sisters. It’s tied to the third mountain. To the Night Court whose sigil is literally three stars. It’s tied to her transitioning from the trembling fawn to the fang beast. And her story, like both her sisters, is tied to a bat boy.
SJM made the bed with the three brothers x three sisters trope with Nessian. It only makes sense, or shall I say is rather obvious, that she will move forward and complete the pattern, achieving balance.
That’s all, your honor. I rest my case.

while we’re on the topic, i just wanna say that the scene with Stede and Calico Jack is such a breath of fresh air.
“so are you two buggerin’ each other, or what?”
any other show in the world would have handled Stede’s answer very differently. it would have been immediately defensive. “no, absolutely not!” “no, there is no chance.”
not once in this scene does Stede say “he is just my friend.” the writers of this show are absolute masters of avoiding queerbaiting, because not one time in this scene, where he is discussing the nature of his relationship with Ed, and Ed’s past relationships with men as well, not once does Stede recoil in disgust, or say that he would never. He never says that Ed is only his friend.
he’s immediately fucking respectful. “ed’s past is ed’s business.”
coming from a lifetime of expecting “ew, no!” and instead getting a response that’s handled delicately and kindly is so fresh and so important.

you know what absolutely doesn’t make sense in the marauders fandom and yet you all people ran with it? moony toast. you know the one, where he cuts it in four pieces and has every piece with different topping? lovely, yes absolutely. i know. BUT WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN A ONE SINGLE OBJECTION ON HOW FUCKING UNREAL THAT IS? like you’re telling me, that one single fucking toast was enough of a breakfast for him? FOR A FUCKING TEENAGER IN DEVELOPMENT?!?!?! FOR A WEREWOLF?!?!?! YOU’RE TELLING ME, THAT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU FAKE ASS BITCHES I’VE SEEN TO POST HERE HOW YOU’RE HAVING A MOONY TOAST, THAT IT WAS ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?!?! nahhh, na-ahh, i’d bet all my money, you had to make at least another three toasts like this for it to be enough. like i dunno what kind of fucking toast bread are you guys buying or you think the elves were making, but the toast in a real world is the least hunger-full-fucking-filling (or something like that i dunno english fuck me) piece of a fucking bread you can buy. i have to have at least four toasts to not be hungry again in an hour. more realistic would be, if he’d just have the four toasts and every with different topping. that, would make sense.

Right, so I've seen a lot of posts talking about Neil and Katelyn being really similar and it freaking the Twinyards out. I am here to offer a new HC:
We know Neil has auburn hair, but Katelyn has strawberry blonde hair.

Okay so my 2 cents in the whole shipping debacle within the Aphverse is that… I genuinely like nearly every ship. I ALWAYS HAVE!!!!!!!
I am a very easy person to entertain, I always have been, so when watching MCD growing up YES I loved Garmau so much but I also fangirled like crazy when we got Laurmau moments. And at the same time I LOVED Garrance!! I loved and STILL love almost every ship, canon or not. I lost my MARBLES when Aarmau became hinted at in MCD and MYS then became canon (and while I do definitely see and understand the problematic aspects, and am equally as upset that they ruined other characters so Aaron looked better, I STILL LOVED SEEING SOME ROMANCE ACTION IN THE MOMENT!! Tbh it was just nice that Aph OFFICIALLY HAD A PERSON YK??? Cuz girl I was tired of the pining and false hope LMFAO)
and it was even with non Aphmau centric ships like Zana and stuff. Like I wanted Zanvis and Dana (is that the Dante x Nana ship name??) at first but when I got Zana I was like OKAY THIS HITS!!!!!
AND DAARON?;’dbfj DAARON DOES ANYONE REMEMBER DAARON!?!
I’m gonna be totally transparent and say I saw the appeal and shipped and liked the drama of Einmau UNTIL!!!!!!!! THEY REVEALED THEM TO BE SIBLINGS AND THEN I WAS LIKE 😟😨‼️ and literally wanted to tear my hair out oh my god I was so disgusted with myself 😭😭
But yes (ALMOST) any and all ships are fun to me bc I’m just a little baby who wants pixels to smash their blocky faces together idgaf who it is just give me romance give me drama give me food for my brain worms

headcannon in a universe where hozier and jegulus exist simultaneously, regulus fully fixes his sleep schedule simply because he knows if he’s awake past 3am on a night he’s spent in James’ bed he’ll get loudly serenaded with the lyrics to ‘too sweet’ with an extra comma after ‘my coffee’

My brain just connected two dots:
Remember when Laszlo was saying that Nandor is unburdened by the weight of a universal education (but give him an axe etc etc)?
Remember when he meets Freddie and realizes he doesn’t understand a thing of what he says?
WHAT IF the reason he decides “He’s into reading books now” is because he saw Guillermo choose an academic as companion and thinks (more or less subconsciously, I guess) that he needs to be “book smart” too?
Oh, Nandor, you perfect himbo.
