... There's something just kind of off about the P5R narration ? I don't like how it both tries to go "you, the player, don't know how This Event happened because Joker, the protagonist, was drugged and didn't remember it clearly", *and* have multiple scenes, in what is supposed to be a flashback of Joker talking to Sae, that Joker has no way to have been a witness to

It's like with the end of Okumura's Palace. I hated seeing how he died. Because it makes the Thieves asking themselves if they are the cause of his death meaningless. We know, as the player, that they aren't ! And ! Joker hasn't witnessed it ! But we, as the player, we know !! And it makes that whole sequence kind of fall flat emotionally to me because it's just. Guys cool for you to have what would be an extremely relevant questioning of your actions. Except. I know. You're not the culprit. Someone else did it. I saw it. You didn't but I did : )

It's especially - grating ? when I compare it to how P4G treat the narration of the game, even when you get to see scenes of events not witnessed by Yu. I didn't feel, as the player, that I knew more than the IT while I was going through it ? IDK.

P4G is like. Tighter as a game, it feels, but messier in other aspects (crying in my hands gods this game is so messy with its comedy and any queer topic)

But P5R is kind of. messier in how it handles its own story. It feels.
