Training an AI to write fanfic

I fed ChatGPT-3 parts of my fanfics and asked it to continue my stories. Here’s how it turned out.

Not great. It repeated too many details from my original fic so I told it to try again: 

Much better. I asked it to continue: 

Awwww <3 a bit sappy and cliché imagery and phrases, but I’ll take it.  

And just when I thought there was hope yet for my AI writing assistant in training, I fed it an excerpt from one of my longer fanfics, and it went completely off the rails... 

And this superpower / superhuman AU went on for another 6+ paragraphs that I won’t bother to post here. In case you are wondering how the story ends: a government agent shows up at their door, Laurie and Ralph go on the run, they decide to look for other super-powered people like themselves, and resolve to take down the government together.

Today I used Chat GPT-3 to write a Christmas AU Cisco/Caitlin fic. Two of the requirements were kissing under the mistletoe and talking about Bitcoin. Here is an excerpt from OpenAI's oneshot:

ChatGPT and I made a Sim

I've been watching a lot of DougDoug recently. The video where he forced ChatGPT to play a Pajama Sam game in character (in addition to enriching my life in ways I didn't know I needed) gave me an idea. So I opened up ChatGPT and asked it to help me make a Sim.

I went feature-by-feature asking it what it wanted me to do until I hit the message limit for the hour that there apparently is, unless you pay, which lmao no. Open AI can eat the entirety of my ass with that one.

The main gist of it is that ChatGPT wanted me to create a fairy with the theme of "luminescent" with white, lavender, and silver being the key color palette. It also wanted me to keep her features very soft, delicate, and youthful which I did try to do but I think the approach I took resulted in a much more mature-looking Sim than either of us intended.

Since I hit the message limit by the time I was done with the facial structure, the makeup, hairstyle, clothes, and accessories were all chosen by me but with the intent of keeping to the theme ChatGPT chose.

One last thing, I didn't pose this Sim myself. In keeping with the AI theme, I clicked "random quick poses" and basically let this Sim choose her own poses from what I had installed.

She went a little rogue there for a bit but after her Charlie's Angels moment, she managed to reel herself back in.

Yeah, that's right. Put that leg back down.

Oh don't start sulking. We both know you're not dressed for spy work.

I'm not super thrilled with how she turned out but I think she fits the prompts I was given well enough. What do you think?
