Griffin Stagg Headcanons

Headcanons for the youngest boy in the cast: Griffin Stagg. No reader. Will update as I think of more.

TW for bullying, kidnapping, violence, death, gore (mentioned), does teeth count?.

Griffin is max eleven years old; probably ten. He's easily the youngest of the group. In fact, I headcanon he's a few months younger than Gwen. He uses this to his advantage, though, always bragging about how he'll live longer than her because he's younger. Not quite how it worked out, unfortunately.

I headcanon he's got an older brother who went to university/college recently before his kidnapping/death. He was pretty close with his brother; he always took Griffin out to play games or get food or just hang out. His brother was his closest friend, considering he barely had any friends of his own. His brother immediately came back home after he went missing to look for him, too.

This doesn't stop typically sibling fights, though. If you read my headcanon on who's the biggest tattletale, Griffin is number one. And his brother is not exempt from that. Growing up, they would constantly threaten to tell on each other for stuff and kept their word about it, too. Still, they always felt at least a little bit guilty about it, and would apologise and try to get each other out of trouble if the punishment was truly that bad.

Since his older brother's in college, his parents are on the older side. I don't know why but I feel like his mother would have arthritis in her hands, so as a little kid he had to be careful to not yank her around too hard. His father, on the other hand, is as fit as anything. They both take on pretty stereotypical roles in the family; his mother being a bit of a housewife (she still has a job, though) and his father doing all the handiwork.

Griffin's also had a lot of pet fish growing up, partly because he's a bit scared of dogs and is allergic to cats. They've always been some variation of goldfish or fighter fish, and always have the most classic names possible. "Goldie" or "Sunshine" or "Bluey" or some name based on some famous boxer were the most common. Strangely, no matter how similar they looked, he could always tell them apart. Or so he thinks, at least.

However, life wasn't all Lesley Gore's Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows. He was bullied a lot during his early years of school for having no friends. In turn, the bullying pushed people away from wanting to be his friend because they didn't want to join in on getting bullied. It only really died down because Griffin just didn't become a fun target after a while. He was too boring and didn't have as much of a reaction as the bullies wanted. He wasn't emotionless to it--don't get me wrong--but he just wasn't as explosive as they wanted.

Still, people didn't really want to be his friend after it. Griffin wasn't exactly considered cool either, so that tarnished his reputation a bit. He pretended to like being left alone, but it did get to him. Still, he's a "two's company, three's a crowd" type person. He just wants one friend outside of his family. Is that really too much to ask?

Ankle-biter of a child. If he gets forced into a fight his first weapon of defense is his teeth. Will sink those guys into whatever he can get to first. And they're sharp, too. He will draw blood if he's not careful.

Speaking of ankles, when he was a little kid he'd cling to his mother's leg when being dropped of at kindergarten/preschool. He'd cry and cry about having to go (something that would come back to haunt him in the future). Griffin definitely had some separation anxieties as a kid. Nowadays he's just lonely. Poor guy.

This kid loves candy apples. What more can I say? They're tasty. It's his favourite treat.

He also is a big Halloween fan. He loves to watch whatever horror movies his parents will let him. He barely even gets scared during them. The only thing he doesn't like is massive gore. It makes him feel uncomfortable. Though, he also likes to dress up the skeletons in his front yard with silly outfits. And there's always the love of trick-or-treating, too.

He gets good grades naturally. He's in an easier stage of school, so he'd definitely have to study more in future grades, but for now he's cruising.

Okay, now for some I'm taking from @tnmdfhgkg. 1), He'll do anything for a dollar (a dollar was worth more back then okay). 2), he's a shit-talker about other people, but 3), he's very nice once you get to know him. 4), he gets a lot of bug-bites during summer (mainly mosquitoes), and 5), he's a messy eater. Oh, and 6), he's the silliest goober in town; takes nothing seriously when he's in a goofy mood (always). Hope it's okay to tag you!

The Mother

The Mother is lying next to her fawn. The moonlight pooling beautifully on their dappled coat. They are so young, so new to the world, yet already their time has been cut so short. She nuzzles into them to feel the last of the heat left in their body. She thinks back to just a few moments before when she was peacefully unaware. She had been awoken by the absolute silence of the night, the deafening sound of emptiness. The forest, completely silent apart from her own breathing. That was what was wrong, she realized. Her child has left her, cold and alone. Now she must be awake, she must be aware of what has happened. She does not want to be. Grieving and lost among starlight. She looks down at her fawn and thinks, “They are beautiful, they are perfect.” She takes a few moments to drink in the forest around them, the place she calls home, the place she thought of as a protector. Now this place is tainted, the not-quite sleeping stillness of her fawn has painted it in new colors. Shades of night, the fading light of the moon, still lovely, but shot through with sorrow and loss. For now, she will wallow here. Silent as she can be. She pretends for just a moment that death has not touched her fawn. But The Mother knows, she knows that she cannot stay here forever. The Mother knows that come morning she will have to leave them here. The trees will swallow her child as she wanders away, in a trance of pain seen in daylight. She will walk until her legs ache. Until she has found a new place to rest. She will follow many trails through the forest. But The Mother knows. She will never walk this path again.

TRIGGERS: death mention, child loss

Aristóteles was born in Oaxaca Mexico, product of the love affair between Renata, a seamstress and Miguel, a Mexican politician who ran away quickly from his responsibilities the minute Renata gave him the news. Although Renata didn’t have the meanings to care for a kid, she worked hard to raise his child who never lacked a thing, even when he could see the tiredness in his mother’s eyes.

At age ten, after seeing his mother struggle to make end meets, Ari decided to step in: he put his name on for a talent reality show in Mexico and got selected to compete. Although he didn’t win, Ari charmed the audience with his voice and personality, receiving a second place and deal for his own album. Not a year later, Ari was promoting his album and a soap opera he would be a part of. He used the money he was payed to buy his mother a house so she would never have to worry about making ends meet again.

His career took off after that. Soap operas, movies, awards, albums, tours… México couldn’t get enough of him, became the youngest solo number to sell out the biggest arena in mexico at the age of fifteen. It was traced in the stars, Aristóteles would become a legend.

Turning sixteen and having all the fame and fortune his stardom had brought with him affected the young star. Although he loved his country and his audience, the millions of kids, young people and eldest who would sing along to the songs he had written, he needed a bigger challenge and thus, he decided to move to the USA to try and make it in Hollywood. Soon enough his luck and talent proved to work on his favor and he began getting small roles in commercials and secondary roles in shows and movies. 

That’s where he met Natalie. She was beautiful, bright, gentle… Ari fell in love quickly and not long after, he proposed. Natalie said yes and just like that, the couple got married in a little ceremony by the beach.

As things goes, happiness didn’t last long. On Ari’s 21st birthday, coming home from his celebration dinner on their way to pick up their daughter from Renata’s home, a car accident took Natalie from him and to make matters worse, it was informed to him that Natalie was pregnant and he had also lost his child. He spent years trying to recover from his terrible loss.

Just as Ari was ready to quit the Hollywood world and the dream of becoming a successful actor in America, the actor received one last lifeline. A script for an upcoming show and an opportunity to work in the legendary Palmwood Studios. He auditioned and finally landed the gig, playing Duke Holly in Rumor Woman.

has a very close relationship with his mom. they are eachother’s rocks and she means a lot to him

he does party. he LOVES PARTYING. not only is it in his blood but he often needs to let out some steam (who KNEW being an actor could be so stressful)

probably has a lot of one stands or relationships that are non-committal. he has big baggage dragging so serious relationships are hard for him not impossible but HARD

man breathes, dreams, lives music. he plays a lot of instruments: guitar, piano, violin, ukelele, recorder, french horn, drums, harp, trumpet, bass, kalimba, xylophone… he loves music. 

LOVES to cook, too. mostly mexican food. if acting doesn’t play out, his plan b would be to open an authentic mexican restaurant focused oaxacan cuisine.
