Happy Holidays, guys!!! 🎄

I wish you a Merry Christmas... so I'm going to share with you the drawing that I've done for a Christmas Card. 🎁

Here's Jesus at 5 years old, healing a baby lamb after he got hurt with the undergrowth. The boy saved the lamb and healed him with a bandage. Suddenly, the lamb was completely healthy. 🩹

Mary, his mother, arrived; discovering that her son was saving the lamb. She, surprised to see this miracle; smiled and walked to her son, asking why he'd got so far. Jesus said that he was saving the lamb because animals deserve a lot of respect. 🐑

The background is a mountainous forest; when little Jesus took a walk with his Mother, sitting on a stone symbolizes his strength to help others, the mountains in the background are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The illumination between the trees that irradiates Jesus and the lamb is God, congrats to His Son for helping a weak animal, as the lamb as.

The drawing was done on Clip Studio Paint, but the document is in PSD (Photoshop). I used some brushes and followed tutorials on YouTube to paint the background and details.

At the Newberry Library, we use the general definition of ephemera offered by Maurice Rickards, namely the “minor transient documents of everyday life,” mostly printed and mostly on paper. The use of the word “transient” implies that once these items had served their intended purpose they were generally expected to be discarded. Paper is by far the most common medium but fabric, metal, wood, plastic, and other materials make up many ephemera. Some examples, moreover, are not printed but written out, stenciled, drawn, or painted...
